Things you'll only hear in treatment: We all saw a joint sitting out in front of the recovery house. Finally after a minute of talking about it an old man who was sober longer than all 4 of standing there around the joint said "Drugs. I don't even talk about drugs. Unless it's cocaine I don't wanna hear about it."

Binge drinking is characterized by the consumption of large quantities of alcohol in a short period, typically leading to a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher. For men, this usually means consuming five or more drinks in about two hours, and for women, four or more drinks. While binge drinkers may not drink every day, the pattern can still lead to significant health and social problems.
Heavy Drinking
Heavy drinking involves regular consumption of alcohol at levels that exceed standard guidelines.
Functional Alcoholism
Functional alcoholics often maintain what appears to be a normal life, with steady employment, relationships, and responsibilities. Despite this, they are dependent on alcohol and may drink heavily or regularly.
Young Adult Subtype
This subtype typically includes individuals in their late teens and early twenties who engage in binge drinking and heavy drinking but may not drink every day. They often have fewer co-occurring mental health issues and generally have less severe alcohol dependence.
Young Antisocial Subtype
Young antisocial alcoholics also tend to start drinking at a young age and often have a family history of alcoholism. This subtype is characterized by antisocial behavior, including a higher likelihood of engaging in criminal activities and other risky behaviors.
Intermediate Familial Subtype
This subtype includes middle-aged individuals with a significant family history of alcoholism. These individuals often start drinking in their teenage years and may experience moderate levels of alcohol dependence. They frequently have co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression.
Chronic Severe Subtype
Chronic severe alcoholics represent the most severe form of alcohol addiction. They often have high levels of alcohol dependence, a long history of drinking, and numerous alcohol-related problems, including health issues and legal troubles.
High-Functioning Alcoholism
High-functioning alcoholics are similar to functional alcoholics but may hold high-level jobs, have advanced degrees, and maintain a seemingly successful social life. Despite their outward success, their dependency on alcohol can have severe consequences over time.
End-Stage Alcoholism
At this stage, the person often drinks throughout the day to avoid withdrawal symptoms, and severe health issues are common.

"Harness Food's Power to Combat Alcohol Cravings and Rebuild Your Life"
Tumblr media
Alcohol cravings are difficult to manage and can represent a major challenge for those who are undergoing treatment for addiction. That’s why it’s so important to develop effective strategies to overcome them. Eating certain types of food can help reduce the intensity of cravings. A few examples of these include:
High-fiber carbohydrates like oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, and bran cereals
Leafy greens like spinach or kale
Omega-3-rich foods like fish and flaxseeds
It’s important to create a meal plan for each day and stick to it, as it can provide enough structure to combat the urge to drink. Regular, consistent meals and snacks can keep blood sugar levels even, and thus reduce the possibility of cravings. Moreover, having balanced meals can improve the way people feel both physically and mentally. Eating plenty of fresh produce is helpful as well. Whole fruits and vegetables are nutritionally dense and can help reduce cravings. Eating snacks that are high in protein and complex carbohydrates can also be beneficial. Hummus, almonds, and nut butters are some examples of healthy snacks that can help with cravings. Hydrating throughout the day is important too. Staying hydrated is essential to physical and mental health. While drinking too much water can be a challenge for those recovering from addiction, it can be helpful to prepare a schedule that increases hydration levels in a gentle and progressive way. Nutritional counseling can be especially beneficial for those who are recovering from alcohol abuse and addiction. Working closely with a nutritionist or dietitian can be hugely advantageous, as they will be able to create an individualized plan that meets the needs of each patient. At Banyan Treatment Center, we understand the importance of nutrition when it comes to addicted patients. We have certified nutritionists and dietitians on staff, who can help put together an individualized plan tailored to each patient's specific needs. We offer comprehensive drug rehabilitation services, as well as various types of behavioral, psychological, and holistic counseling. Battling Post-Holiday Blues in Massachusetts
Tumblr media
Routines: Reviving old hobbies and activities can be a beneficial way to decompress and break out of the holiday funk. Creating new routines and rituals can also be a great way to give yourself a break and remind yourself that life doesn't have to be as restricted or chaotic as it felt during the holidays. Incorporating physical activities like yoga, tai chi, and walking into your daily patterns can help alleviate stress. Self-Care: Give your body and mind a break – sleep and healthy eating can go a long way in helping you feel energized and more in control of your life. Designate me-time for yourself – read a book, take a bubble bath, or enjoy some nature. Check in with yourself and your emotions – give yourself permission to feel and validate those feelings. These are just a few coping strategies to help you fend off the post-holiday blues. For more information, please visit The Banyan Treatment Center website, where you can find advice and help to work through any challenges you face.

What to Expect After Leaving Rehab
Anyone who has ever been to a rehab center knows what leaving can be like. Not only is it a new feeling for you and your friends, but it’s also a brand-new way of life for everyone involved. Whether you have just graduated from best rehabilitation centre in Chennai or have finished an extended stay, the time will come when it’s time to leave and face the world once again. Leaving rehab can be one of the scariest things you’ll ever do, but the benefits of leaving are well worth the fear of the unknown. Every addict is different, so there are no two situations that are exactly alike when it comes to leaving rehab. However, there are some general facts about aftercare that almost everyone experiences at some point during their recovery journey. Here’s what to expect after leaving an addiction treatment center:
People will be more strict about your sobriety
While in treatment, you were most likely allowed to drink water, but now that you’re back in the world, people expect you to be completely sober. Drinking or even taking a few sips of water can get you in big trouble. Not only are you expected to drink water, but you’re supposed to drink plenty of it. Many people find that their cravings are much worse than they were during treatment. It can be almost like you’ve switched bodies. You have less control over your cravings, you feel more pain, and there are just more distractions to get you to drink. People who are sober are also likely to be more judgmental than those who are still in recovery. There’s a much higher chance that people will judge you, even if they’re not outright saying it.
You’ll go through a period of extreme cravings
When you first left rehab, the cravings should have settled down a little bit. It’s normal to feel urges to drink during the first few days after leaving rehab, but the intensity of these cravings should subside by the end of the first week. However, if you’re feeling intense cravings, it’s best to just accept them. Just because you’re sober doesn’t mean that you should try to fight urges that are so deeply engrained part of who you are.
Levels of pain will increase as you heal from addiction
The process of addiction and recovery is a painful one. You have to deal with chronic pain and the reality of just how badly you’ve damaged your body. There are some individuals who deal with increased pain, but for most people, the pain and physical damage from their addiction reduces as they get healthier. You’ve likely felt a lot of pain in rehab, but it’s usually controlled by medication. Now that you’re sober, you’ll have to deal with the pain all on your own.
The first few days are the toughest
The hardest part of leaving rehab is the first 48 hours. You are still under the care and supervision of the treatment center, but now you’re expected to be completely sober and responsible for yourself. It can feel like there’s a huge disconnect between your old way of life and your new one.
Graduation day is approaching
There are a few different ways that you can graduate from rehab. However, the most common way is to finish all of the inpatient treatment and complete a few months of outpatient care. This is the route that almost everyone takes. You’ll finally be able to leave the treatment center and be responsible for your health again. You’ll be free from the restrictions and rules that were placed on you in rehab. Now, it’s your turn to heal.
There’s hope at the end of your journey
There are a lot of people who have tried to quit drinking or using drugs and failed. Then, there are those who try and fail, only to finally find success. You have the opportunity to turn your life around and make a new start. Not only will you be happier and healthier, but you’ll also be more likely to pass on your knowledge to the next generation of addicts. There’s hope at the end of your journey. However, you’ll have to work hard to achieve it. If you make the decision to change your life, then you’ll find that it’s easier than you ever imagined. There’s hope at the end of your journey. A Brief Introduction to Addiction and Rehab Centres - Samarpan
Tumblr media
There is a large number of people who always keep on searching for a good rehab centre in Mumbai and it is due for many reasons. Addiction is quite a severe situation. And when someone falls into the trap of addiction, the quality of their life deteriorates dramatically. Whether it be their physical health, mental health, work-life, or relationship with others, everything take a steep turn due to this addiction. This article is going to decipher several concepts related to addiction right from the very basics. But before we start jumping to the advanced concepts, it would be nice to talk about the basics. Let us begin this discussion with the basic definition of addiction.
What is Addiction?
Explaining to you the meaning of addiction in the simplest way would be the best thing we can do here. In simplest terms, addiction to the activity of individuals so persistent that they are unable to stop engaging in it. It might be anything, like the consumption of drugs, consumption of alcohol, engaging in activities like gambling, sex, etc. Any habit of yours can take the form of addiction even the simplest habits like eating, etc. That is why you have to keep watch on the intensity of the habits you are involved in. Whenever you think your habit is getting out of your control despite your knowledge of its harmful effects, it might be an addiction.
If you are involved in some activity, let’s say getting drunk occasionally during a party that is once, a month or so, it is not an addiction. That can be termed as an occasional misuse or overuse of alcohol. It would become an addiction when you start increasing the frequency of such consumption without caring about the consequences. As an aware person, you should always keep watch on what you are doing on a daily basis and the way those activities are affecting your body and mind. Since you are well aware of addiction, it is time to talk about other important concepts involved in that process.
How can you identify addiction?
People start with any habit with a light mood. Since these things take place at a slow pace with the agreement of the individuals, people don’t see it coming until it’s a bit late. In case someone in your family or friend circle is falling into this trap without noticing it, you would be able to identify their situation if you know the symptoms. Knowing those basic symptoms will help you a lot in identifying addiction right in the beginning.
If you see a person increasing the extent of their involvement in any activity and ignoring the consequences of those activities on the quality of their lives, it might be due to addiction to something.
When the person is not admitting that he/she has been caught addicted to something. When someone gets addicted to something whether it be a product or some activity and they don’t admit that they are addicted.  Talking to them about these activities brings some sort of disagreement on their face and they kind of try to avoid the conversation altogether.
In case someone starts presenting defensive arguments to support they are not involved in addictive habits, it might be because they are already addicted to something.
Let us take a look at the treatment involved here
The process to treat addiction is quite complicated in many ways and it is because of many reasons. Since everyone has different perspectives about things they see and understand and addiction is something closely related to the way people allow external agencies to become a part of their lives. So, in order to treat addiction, you need to get into the mind of those people to understand their way of perceiving things and how deeply they have fallen into this trap. Some people let the addiction take severe form in a way that if their supply of that particular product, those people start facing many difficulties related to their daily lives. But we are going to help you find a rehab treatment centre in Pune with this article.
Here is your help
It is called Samarpan Rehabilitation. Samarpan is an institute where you will find adequate help in treating addiction. But one thing you have to know here is your expectations about the outcomes of treatment are highly dependent on the stage of addiction. In some cases, the addiction gets so severe that it is almost impossible to undo the damage done by the addiction. Samarpan Rehabilitation examines the mental state of the addict before deciding the right treatment program for that individual. Visit the official website for more information on this topic. There are several reasons why it is called the best rehabilitation centre in Mumbai.
