Hello! I'm new here, I write smut, a lot of smut. Yesterday I dropped chapter 3 of my dronefic. You can find it here! It's about a woman who has spent a good third of her life stuck inside a suit of armor getting dropped into a world of horny ditzy drones, Of Mice and Adders!
I'm also writing an HDG fic called Instar! It's about a girl coming to terms with ableistic trauma.
If you like either of those, I have a lot more smut available on my Ao3!

this is my first hypnosis script, im pretty new to the space from the hypnotist side so any feedback would be appreciated.
CW: Hypnotic Induction, obedience, loss of control, mind alteration, increased suceptability to mine and others commands, minor dronefication, and no formal wakener
Id like you to find a nice comfortable place you can get situated, maybe a bedroom or bathroom, somewhere you can sit or lay comfortable without being disturbed or distracted.
Before you get comfortable id like you to make the room as dark as you can, turn of the lights or maybe close the curtains, if you want to get really immersed, maybe turn your device to dark mode, or lower the brightness. it doesn't have to be perfect, but it should be just dark enough for you to notice.
After you get comfortable id like you to soak in the darkness for a moment, to feel it surrounding you, enveloping you, permeating the very air around you.
Its dark isn't it?
Very Dark...
...
...
We should turn on a light, shouldn't we...
Here, id like you to imagine a candle, specifically a small tealight candle that you might see in a wax melter, or a pop boat if you are familiar.
Imagine the small flame of the candle flickering,
back and forth
back and forth
The flame bowing and bending at the slightest breath
Imagine how the flame lights the room, its soft glow illuminating your surroundings and yet somehow creating darker, richer shadows...
...
Oh dear...
...
Im terribly sorry... But this candle is almost spent...
Soon its flame will sputter out and then we will be left in the dark again...
Oh dear in deed...
...
Still, not to worry, we can make a new candle, One that keep the darkness away
just
a little
longer...
But ill need your help to make this work,
I can make a new bright and tall candle that can make this room shine, and push all that darkness away...
But... In order to make this candle im going to need your essence
Your will power
Your control...
I promise it wont hurt, in fact many have told me that the experience is quite pleasant, even euphoric.
Though, if your not ready that's ok, you can always flick on a light, or open a window i wont mind.
...
But something tells me you are ready...
Maybe because you have read this far...
Or maybe its because your here at all...
You already gave me some of your control when you started reading this post...
For that i thank you, really, but if your truly ready then keep reading, this little candle is going to burn out at any moment...
Ready? Good...
Im going to count down from 10. The more you scroll, the more control you give me, you might find yourself falling into a sort of trance, and that's ok and normal, After each number you will have given me a little bit more of your control, a little bit more of your willpower, so its only natural that you would be a little bit more suggestible and focused.
By the time we reach 1, we should have a nice,
bright,
and beautiful candle.
Now, lets begin...
10
You might feel your body relax, a warm and heavy feeling starting at your toes and slowly working its way up your body. Some have said it feels as if your body were melting into wax.
9
As you feel the warmth spreading up trough your feet, past your ankles, up your calves, take note of how heavy and dense they feel now, how completely relaxed...
8
The warmth should now be spreading up your legs, past your knees, and up your thighs, slowing a bit at the groin, and making you feel heavy, warm, and relaxed...
7
The warmth should continue up your body, over your hips and stomach, making them melt into warmth and relaxation...
6
The warmth should now be climbing your torso, through your breast and up to your neck, but stopping just short, as if blocked...
At this point you are very deep in trance, but your conscious mind still holds a little bit of resistance, we will work on that in a moment, for now just focus on the warmth.
5
Stayed at the neck, the warmth now travels down your arms, past your biceps and cresting over your elbows...
Your mind is very powerful, dont forget that... Even now it resists, trying to keep this warmth away from your vulnerable subconscious... For this to work im going to need you to consciously allow this warmth, to allow me into your subconscious... That takes alot of trust...
4
The warmth should now be flowing down your arms, past your forearms, over your wrists, down you palms and slowly slowly slowly flowing through your fingers...
If you aren't ready or willing to let me into your subconscious that's fine, i don't mind, Please stop reading, sit for a while, comfortable in the warmth, and allow yourself to wake from trance, but if you are ready, and are willing to give me that control, then press on.
...
...
...
3
As you give up more control, more resistance, the warmth should creep its way up your neck over your chin and up your face, you might find your head drooping or drool starting to form as your head rests totally relaxed, this is normal and ok.
2
The warmth should have flowed all the way up your head, and into your hair, each strand heavy, warm and relaxed... Your whole body should be warm and heavy, completely and totally relaxed except for one last hold out,
Your mind...
I was being serious before, if your at all uncomfortable feel free to stop reading and slowly wake up, you've already given me so much willpower, so much control, and im not 100% that you will be the same after this if you let me into your subconscious... If you don't fully trust me, stop reading...
Im serious...
...
1
You are now completely and totally in trance...
So deep, and so focused on my words, that the outside world seems almost completely gone, hidden in complete darkness...
Your so deep in trance that i bet you didn't even notice the candle went out... Its been out since we got to 3...
Not to worry though, Im going to have you imagine a candle, its tall and beautiful, the most beautiful candle you have ever seen...
At the end of its wick is a bright and gorgeous flame, it burns tall and bright, brighter than any candle you have ever seen...
That's because the candle is fueled by you, your mind, your essence...
With each thought the flame grows higher... Each emotion makes it grow brighter... Pushing the darkness
Further
And further
Away...
I want to see how bright this wonderful candle can get, lets try putting some more of you into the candle...
Feel your worries go into the candle... See how the flame burns bright...
Now feel all your stress and pain go into the candle... Watch the flame dance higher and higher...
Next, lets put your anger, and sadness and fear into this candle... Take pride in how high the flame burns, its almost like a sparkler!
Now lets put your inhibitions, and shame into the candle, feel your mind get lighter... And the flame grow so so bright... Its so big now, more like a bonfire than a candle!
Im running out of big things to put into this candle... Please, if you could... Put any other thoughts that may still be lingering in your head into the candle... Watch its flame grow and dance... The light bouncing across the walls...
I think that's enough... Look how bright the flame burns now, how bright the room is... A flame like this should make you feel happy, warm, and content...
Its so bright...
So warm...
So beautiful...
Oh dear...
Now i dont mean to alarm you but we might have gotten a bit carried away...
Even now the candle is starting to dim...
The flame is now down from a raging bonfire back to a small flame...
And now its down even smaller... Sputtering and dimming, the darkness once again enveloping you...
Now its just an ember, slowly smoking...
And its gone...
...
Im sorry... All that essence, all that control all that willpower burned away...
Now we are left in a blanket of darkness...
Your mind so, so suggestible, so, so vulnerable...
In this state... You would do anything someone asked of you,
totally obedient
Totally mindless
Your contented little head filled with nothing but smokey darkness...
so vulnerable... And susceptible to suggestions, especially from those you trust...
Some people like feeling this way...
Being completely obedient...
Completely vulnerable...
Maybe you have been like this before...
Maybe you've been here before, reading this script, enveloped in the dark
Completely and totally blank...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
As nice as it is, I cant let you leave here like this...
It would be irresponsible of me,
and after all that trust you gave me I have a responsibility to make sure your mind is safe and sound.
So im going to give you this...
I know its hard, being as mindless as you are now but i need you to imagine another candle.
This one is a plastic electric candle, on the top is a small plastic bulb, that mimics its flame, and on the bottom is a small switch, protected by a rubber cover...
This candle can help to illuminate your mind, to help regain some of the control and brainpower that was burned away, not all of it, but more than enough to function day to day...
You might find that its not quite the same as your old self...
You might find it hard to linger on older emotions and grudges...
And it might be a little bit harder access some more negative emotions, like sadness, or shame... This is natural, as those are powerful emotions tend to burn the fastest...
Still... This new candle is not all bad,
First of all it has a on/off switch, so you can turn it off whenever you like and return to this blissful state of mindlessness and obedience whenever you want... Keep in mind that only you can move the rubber cover protecting the switch, no one else...
The candle also has a a few different modes, like timers that can automatically turn the candle off after a certain amount of time, or when you feel particularly calm or relaxed.
It even has a special voice command feature, that lets you or anyone you trust remotely turn the candle on or off just by saying a special word or phrase, it can be any phrase... But defaults to lamp on, and lamp off...
Don't worry about the candle running out of energy, its powered by some of the leftover essence you gave me... You really gave me quite a lot of it...
I hope you come to like your new candle, and the new you...
But if you ever feel like you want to go back, all you need to doo is imagine the big bright candle again, but in reverse, growing from a small ember to a great bonfire... Its not an easy task, but with enough practice and a mind as strong and resilient as yours im sure you can do it.
I hope you have enjoyed our session, and i wish you the best.

hostile takeover is my favorite MD fic ever, and one of my favorite fics period (in no specific order). whenever you finish writing hostile takeover, do you plan to continue writing in the fandom out of curiosity?
thank you, always happy to hear my work sits among someone's favorites
the answer to this has changed over time. initially, HT was supposed to be a test run for the fic i really wanted to write (but HT has long since eclipsed it in passion). still, a few months into writing HT i had grown so weary of the effort that i was genuinely uncertain i could bear to write another dronefic.
but alas, at this point there's an undeniable answer to this question, and it's that i don't think i could stop writing dronefic if i tried.
right now, i have a 35k word complete rough draft for another fic, and i have 20-30k words of notes and outlines for a rather ambitious AU, and if i added in what i just spent this evening writing it'd be even more embarrassing
i do want to shift my focus back to original writing, but it's tempting to stay focused on the fandom when it's the first place where people read my writing
as far as plans go, i plan to finish Hostile Takeover, and that's it. i don't know what i'm going to do with Corrupt Combustion or An Opaque Heart. i guess the simplest way to put it is i don't want to write any more fics, but chances are more fics will want to be written

I have been informed by the furries in the household that I have a corruption kink, which "falls kinda into the category of mind takeover/dronefication/hypnosis kinks," thank you for your time
I know I rambled about this when I did my rewatch but for real why do I find the scenes of Catra all fucked up from the portal to be hot
Why does my brain think "she's visually all fucked up and super pissed off and being viciously cruel to Adora, who isn't fighting back; I just want to watch this over and over and over bc hngggggghghghhghghfuck"
well okay when I type it out like that it seems kinda obvious
ffs

Like seriously either that wasn't their intent at all, or one of the people who storyboarded it is also a kinky bastard
Anyway Daci walked in on me making this post and rewatching the scene and it felt like having them walk in on me watching porn, like I know I'm not doing anything wrong or that would offend them but I still feel like I got caught doing something, anyway it turns out Daci agrees with me and thinks my confusion about it is funny
EDITED TO ADD: for extra humor please enjoy the fact that I literally already made an entire post with the theme "it's really hot when Catra is a mean bitch"

AI-enhanced mobile trading app raises $25 million from Eastern Europe
Two major investors from Russia and Belarus have just invested $25 million in Capital.com, a trading app that is similar to Robinhood in the US or Trading212 in Europe — but with a specific AI-powered function that provides users with tailored content based on behavioral analysis.
This is the fourth deal under a $100 million investment program targeting AI startups, which was announced in early 2017 by Larnabel VC and VP Capital. The first investments went to Astro Digital, a California-based startup which develops open APIs for satellite imagery, Banuba, a startup with Belarusian roots developing an AR-enabled mobile software development kit, and Dronefence, a Germany-based developer of drone tracking and security systems.
Dubbed Smart Feed and scheduled to launch next month, this AI function analyzes user activity in real time to provide personalized news feeds, analysis, educational, and research materials.
“It is like a Facebook thread in the app,” said Capital.com investor and founder of VP Capital Viktor Prokopenya in an exchange with East-West Digital News.
Artificial intelligence against overconfidence
According to Prokopenya, Smart Feed is able to “identify common trading biases and behavioral patterns to provide relevant educational content whenever these biases are detected, [allowing] users [to] avoid the ‘mental traps’ that humans tend to have while trading, and [therefore] make more rational investment decisions.”
“Say you purchased an Apple stock, it grew a bit, then you sold it,” Prokopenya said. “You did the same three times. You start feeling that you know everything. You put all your money in Snapchat stocks — which unfortunately drop in price and make you lose everything. This is the overconfidence bias, which the Smart Feed technology can detect and address.”
According to Prokopenya, “the human brain is not made for trading because it is exposed to many behavioral biases.” The inventors of the app aimed to correct this by taking into account research from behavioral economists and scientists.
“Artificial intelligence can bring value wherever large volumes of well-structured data are available,” Prokopenya said. “Finance does have such data, in contrast with many other sectors where the benefits of AI are overhyped. We believe that the best investment banking products of the future will be based on a deep understanding of people’s mind using big data analysis and AI.”
The Capital.com trading app is intended for all types of investors, from the sophisticated ones to beginners who are not sure how to navigate the market. There are no transaction fees, but Capital.com does charge leverage fees.
Plans for expansion
The app was launched in July — but without the AI feature. It is available in the App Store and Google Play platforms in the European Union, according to the Cyprus-based company. Capital.com currently operates only under EU jurisdiction but has plans to quickly expand to other countries, including the United States.

i appreciate the very thorough and charitable response to my off the cuff reply. pointing pomni's decision to leave ragatha to die does a lot to make me reconsider my verdict on her. easy to forget or sand down my memory of that scene, but when you call attention to it, yeah, it is a pretty stark moment of characterization. i wouldn't say i'm fully convinced pomni's character is subtle rather than vague, but i'll admit, there is a bit more to it than staring wide-eyed at the screen
as a point of clarification, i will say that my defense of uzi is less about nuance per se, and more about writing mechanics. the in-your-face characterization gives the viewer something to latch onto and identify, and moreover, uzi is the active instigator of the plot. we haven't retreated out of subjective territory, and pomni's passivity does figure into what TADC is about a meaningful way. "your protagonist should be active" is a bit too screenwriting 101 for me to seriously parrot, but in fairness, there's something there.
on the topic of stakes, i've always had a strange relationship with disbelief and investment that makes issues like these less of a dealbreaker for me. one hot take i'll share, not because i think it will change your mind but because i always get a kick out of how provocative it feels — there's a compelling reading of episode 4 where the real horror and emotional stakes isn't that Uzi killed people, it's that she lost control of herself.
to engage with your last point, your thesis that TADC's emotional experience is something more universal might be the most insightful one. there's probably a whole grand collision of factors that lead to it's absurd success, but yours is a framing that i think does reduce some of my confusion at what it is people are connecting with
(i feel a bit amusingly called out that the vibes-similarity to FOE-PH was so easy to clock, but yeah, you're right on the money there)
on a more general, tangential note, there's this classic theory that you get more fanfic from a source material that's flawed or missing something than from something well-rounded, and i think murder drone has that enticing absence in spades. despite the size of my list, i wouldn't say my knowledge of dronefic is exhaustive, and yet even then i can name numerous fics that can be rounded into the general category of "canon+" or "missing filler episodes"
another observation i've seen before but not nearly as ubiquitously is that there's extra gravity to a source material with distinct yet stereotyped character designs to enable a proliferation of on-model OCs. see: the menagerie of <insert name here> the hedgehogs, or neon colored pony characters. it feels like worker and disassembly drones ought to have the same inclination towards fan characters, but from where i'm standing it doesn't feel like the fandom's embraced them much yet. i think it'd be the ticket to a long-lived fandom, though
anyway, i'm flattered that you poked around my site for a bit. your recs list (here's a link, for those unfamiliar) is one of ones i was aware of and inspired my own attempts to collate a list
Spent today checking out The Amazing Digital Circus and Murder Drones, and god, the kids today have it so good when it comes to this sort of content. When I was a teen, I was obsessed with Red vs. Blue and RWBY, which I think it's fair to say are the equivalents of the time, and the sheer gulf in terms of writing quality and production value is stunning. I hear there were some rumblings of unprofessional conduct from the production company, which would hardly be surprising considering this is yet another guys-working-from-their-basement success story, but much bigger companies with much shittier business practises consistently put out much worse content than this.
The Amazing Digital Circus is definitely the better show of the two, thanks to its slam-dunk premise and some great writing from Gooseworx. The producers have talked about aiming to fill a perceived gap in the market between kids' cartoons (The Boss Baby) and adult animation (Bojack Horseman), and I think they have successfully threaded the needle to create a very unique tone. There's a sense of these works existing totally outside the mainstream media machine; they're not getting BBFC rated, but you just know millions of kids are watching them. It's on YouTube and the fact that it looks like some Frozen Spider-Man kids' slop just means da parents won't question what their kids are watching.
But truth be told, there's nothing objectionable about the content of The Amazing Digital Circus whatsoever. It's unusually metatextual and loosely apes the aesthetics of much darker media, touching on slightly more existential themes than your typical kids' cartoon, but it still has a lot in common with those same cartoons. The zany characters are all fairly one-note, and the emotional arcs of the episodes are honestly quite straightforward. The second episode in particular has an absolutely textbook plot structure to it. It's a far more self-assured and traditional style of writing than you ever see in this kind of independent work—certainly far more so than Murder Drones, which is written by an insane person.
More than anything, I'm reminded of how I felt watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica: that it's a very solid work of fiction, but that the people who'd get the most out of the work are isolated teens struggling to make the transition into adulthood. Certainly if nothing else, the fandoms of these shows must be bringing a lot of kids together around the world. I adore this soundbite from Goose: "Above anything else, I just wanted it to feel kind of lonely." You see Pomni's worldview shatter, she suddenly finds herself in a body that feels completely wrong, and she has to construct a new kind of belonging for herself.
As for Murder Drones, that show's absolutely fucking nuts, yo. The writing is at once painfully basic and utterly incomprehensible. If someone just sat down and explained the plot straightforwardly, it would be fantastically boring. But man, the presentation, the sheer delight the animators seem to approach every scene with...! I'd say it's clearly trying to use "the characters are robots" as an excuse to expose da kids to some absolutely shocking levels of gore, much like the Transformers movies, but midway through the series it starts straightup swapping the oil and wires for blood and bones and you've got to respect that.
The writing itself is so excruciatingly irony-poisoned that it goes beyond cringe and somehow wraps back around again to being sincerely funny. The show kind of wants to have its cake and eat it in terms of constantly lampshading how flat and cliché the emotional plotting is, but also clearly aiming to genuinely tug at the heartstrings and whip fans into a frenzy. And it kind of succeeds, I think! The way it veers between bizarrely high-effort implementations of memes, seriously cool fight scenes and horror visuals, and big emotional moments is very disarming. If The Amazing Digital Circus is an attempt to faithfully rework the American-cartoon formula for a slightly older audience, Murder Drones aims to crib the aesthetics of high-school cartoons while actively rejecting every traditional narrative technique used in those stories. Which means it's kind of bad, which means it's also kind of great.
If it's not already, then within a couple of years it will be deeply cringe to have ever been into Murder Drones in particular or (to a slightly lesser extent) The Amazing Digital Circus, in much the same way that everyone seems embarrassed to admit they were ever a Homestuck fan. But like with Homestuck, I feel like these series are genuinely pushing at the frontiers of storytelling in a way that's commendable and might inspire new kinds of writing once the fans grow up.
ENA is also pretty good, for the record.
