Listen I get hating tailgaters cause I hate them too, but just pull over and let them pass you ffs. I live in the middle of bumfuck nowwhere. There is 1 road in and out of town. It is a 50-55 mph road Except for the three one-mile stretches of Actual Towns (as in, a post office, a deli, maybe two or three other businesses). The road is curvy, and there are no passing lanes. It is a 25 miles stretch of road. We get a Lot of city-hailing eco tourists that dont actually know how to drive these kinds of roads especially at night. So, If I'm trying to get home at 11 at night and the road is Empty, and you are doing 35 mile's per fucking hour, TWENTY BELOW THE LIMIT, because you dont know what an End 30 sign means, I am GOING to line up behind you so fucking perfectly that my lights are in all of your mirrors. I won't even be that close to you! I am at least thirty feet behind. Youre just gonna fucking hate me and i hope you do. Get off the road. I want to go home and you shouldn't have a fucking license. This drive is NOT going to take an hour rather than 30 minutes because YOU don't know that both common courtesy and BEST PRACTICE DRIVING (as taught to me by BOTH state-licensed driving teachers ive had, one of whom was Hard Line "drive by the rules") is to pull tf over. If the tractors can do it, you can too motherfucker.
Do not get me started on people who don't pass tractors.
And here's the thing! You know WHY I don't get closer than 30 feet? Cause it's DANGEROUS. You know WHY you should pull over? Cause not everyone is a cranky researcher just trying to get home. There are street racers from the city who come out here for the "empty" roads. There is an alcoholic population in the double digits of our percentile. Every single person I went to highschool with had either seen a drink driving accident, been INVOLVED in one (hit my someone) or Personally Knew Someone involved in one. A lot of people aren't just pissed at you and trying to get you to pull over.
So if someone is tailgating you? pull over. Let them pass. Slowing down and agitating them is NOT worth the risk to your health if they keep driving so close behind you. Because even of you do it Slowly, they might not Notice the distance has gone from "yeah that'll show them" to "oh fuck I'm about to hit them" until it's Too Late. Especially if they're inebriated. If they are going to risk their neck speeding that's on them. Do not make the problem worse. They might be aggressive but you are instigating right back; and don't come after me for that logic because that's the EXACT logic behind "no fault" states like mine.
And here's the thing: if you don't want to pull over because there is a Line of cars behind you that you don't want to be stuck behind, ask yourself why that line is there. Are you just one car in a Much bigger line and this traffic is out if your control? My condolences. That sucks. Maybe gauge the situation and pull over anyway if you feel the driver behind you is a genuine risk to your safety.
But if there is no one in front of you, but a line of cars behind you? You are causing traffic and need to pull over. I literally could not care less if you're "just doing the speed limit" because you Probably Aren't. Either you misremembered/misread/misinterpreted a sign, or you missed a well-hidden sign indicating a speed limit change (even locals miss these! Especially new drivers and the elderly and double especially if it's spring/summer/fall and road signs are blocked by folliage! Or if you learned to drive these roads when the signs were blocked, and now in the winter when they're clear you stopped looking for them. I cannot begin to express to you just you how often that happens here. Personally, my experience with this means that when I'm driving somewhere new, if someone is tailgating me, I almost always let them pass me, and then i check the speed limit either with my gps or by looking for road signs. And usually? Guess what. Im doing the wrong speed).
But, ok, even if you are doing the limit, most people drive between the limit and about 5 mph over it, and when everyone is doing that, traffic flows normally and with an even dustribution, so its fine, and actually less dangerous than a High Traffic situation just 5mph slower. But You are going slower right now, and so You are causing the kind of traffic and conjestion that makes people act irrationally. And listen. I get it. "But the speed limit is there to keep people safe!" Youre right. It is. Velocity is far more important in collision equations than mass, and slowing speeds limits injuries on an exponential scale when accidents do happen. But right now, I don't think you know enough bad drivers, because speed is in no way shape or form everything about accidents. There are a LOT of other factors.
I have been in cars with people who terrified me so thoroughly that I made them pull over, sometimes by threatening to call the cops on them if they didnt pull over and let me or another friend drive. This has happened three times. And the thing was? Only one of them was actually speeding excessively. Amd, for reference, my father, a man with many qualities that should not be praised but whose driving I remain firmly neutral on (grab bag of really good learned skill and unnecessarily agressive behaviours), used to drive little me around doing 60 on 45 cutthroughs and 90 on 55mph highways. To top that, we're a motorcycle family and ive been riding passenger can it ik that not the term but these are my folks since i was twelve. For better or for worse, speed does not scare me. The people who DID scare me didn't scare me because of speed, they scared because of inattention, lack of control, and carelessness. Drifting side to side in their lane. Crossing lane lines. Crossing double yellows with oncoming traffic ahead. Merging without checking their mirrors while Being Passed By Other Cars, texting while driving and not realizing their speed is changing. Breaking almost too late. Hitting turns too fast and not having control. Hitting turns too fast on ice because they failrd to account for how it changes the road. THESE are the behaviors that get people into accidents. And while speeding can exponentially increase the Consequences of those accidents, preventing speeding doesn't actually prevent certain types of accidents, and personally, I'd rather that accident happen to a single speeding driver on a primarily empty stretch of road, where other drivers have time to react, slow down, and avoid becoming involved, than to have that driver hit three other cars from a line of traffic cause by a "Good Samaritan" who took it into their own hands to prevent speeding by Slowing Down In Front Of A Tailgater. Because either way, the accident happened, and maybe it was going to happen no matter what, or maybe it happened because no one was there to slow them down and make them realize their speed, or maybe it happened because the traffic irritated them and they got pissed off. Is that a defense for them? No, fuck that guy. But that's what happens, what happened, and no matter what, the traffic makes the outcome Worse. More people involved. More potential for secondary accidents. More harm to innocent casualties who were following or at least Mostly following best practices. And again, personally, I don't want three kids implicated in a massive accident when it could have been One adult making really bad decisions and facing the consequences themself.
This is also, mind you, not a hypothetical. We See this exact situation on our little town roads multiple times every year, and every year, we complain about too-slow city drivers causing traffic. And yes, of course we grieve when alcoholism and alcoholism culture leads yet another driver into hitting a tree or a deer or a guardrail at 80. Small town. Your sorrows are mine, and all that. We all probably knew the person, or knew someone who knew them. But when they hit a family's SUV we curse the driver without a seconds hesitation, because we know damn well they shouldnt have been doing what they were doing, and victim of cercumstance and addiction or not, someone who needed help or not, they caused a tragedy, and we pray for the family hurt because more often then not they dont make it out all alive and all healthy (for persoective, we've got multiple fundraisers every year for local kids who have been severely and even permanently dissabled by these kinds of accidents. There are four that my family goes to, and at least another three we can't ever make. And mind you, these are just the kids who's condition is severe enough to put the otherwise middle splash family into Crippling debt. The kind that means they can't care for their child).
And, more akin to my point, when these kinds of accidents happen because the family was doing 30 in a 50, or stuck in a line of traffic doing 30 in a 50, and the aggressive driver was doing 80 and didn't see them and thus couldnt respond until it was way too late, we rage at the fact that our road signs aren't fucking visible, because if that family had been doing the limit the accident probably wouldn't have literally crushed their car like a fucking soda can.
And mind you! This is not the family's fault. They were just doing their best and trying to be safe. But had they been doing the limit, had the road signs actuallu done their job, telling them that not only is the gently curving road ahead MORE than safe to do at 50 mph (because our roads are so wide, soeed limits are Below an actual "max safe speed" and more related to the population density, which, is cool. But os something ive found that only holds uo in rural communities), but to expect that other drivers will be doing 50, and that agressive bad drivers will probably be doing more than that, amd so to drive the limit to minimize harm, then the devastation might not have been as complete. Changing the difference in speed during a collision exponentially changes the difference in applied force, and in this case, changing that speed difference from 50 mph to 30 mph means a 400xpsi per pound difference in applied force. That kind of difference takes that car from a tin can full of broken necks to those smashed up "they survived" Subaru comercial SUVs.
(And before you say it, yes the community hates that these signs aren't visible (at least, those of us that know theyre there). We ask for then to be moved or cleaned up Every Year, and every year it's ignored in favor of literally anything else. They replace roads with no pot holes before they move signs, and the "reasons" are always shitty beaurocratic ones about private property and property rights)
Can you tell I've got a lot of feelings about driving?
The reality of driving is a lot more complicated than dmv approved "good driving vs bad driving" because actual good driving is about keeping yourself and others safe on the roads. And, as much as it might suck, that's gonna mean acknowledging that bad drivers exist, and doing what you cab to minimize the Damage of their behaviour, rather than trying to minimize the behavior.
The sollution to tailgaters and extreme (20mph+ over limit) speeders and innatentive and Dangerous drivers isn't to take law enforcement into your own hands and drive slower. It's not going to change the behaviour. It's going to piss them off. The sollution is increasing the requirements and drivers education level necessary to drive a car. It's for there to be government funding for these programs and tax bracket scholarships for this education so that this system doesn't disproproportionately affect people in poverty, who are already going to have enough difficulties with our car-centric system as is. The sollution involves legislation and income- based sliding scale speeding tickets. It's finding better ways to prevent inebriated driving, and no, I don't have the answers to that, cause all the answers I can think of are actually kinda ableist, which means I probably shouldn't be the person designing this.
I know this was a long read, but if nothing else:
TL;DR: Pull over. Let people pass you. Preserve your own health, the health of others, brush up on what road signs in your state actually mean, and for the love of the people, contact your local reps and maybe your highway dpt if you have concerns about your local roadways.
(And, on the off chance you have a street sign on your property, I dont care how lovely your bushes and trees are, prune them back so the sign is visible 100-200 feet down the road).
favorite hobby when I'm driving is to catch someone trying to climb up my back bumper while I'm going a completely reasonable speed and just slowly take my foot off the gas. you seem upset, brother. why don't we slow down and enjoy the view awhile
#driving#if anyone who actually studies this kind of thing wants to hop on and correct me somewhere i am giving you blanket permission#but to make it Abundantly clear this is a combination of things i learned from two very knowledgable driving instructors and from#observations of the roads in and out of my town that ive made since i started driving (yes i DO hyperfixate on driving and the mechanics of#it while driving so i dont fall into highway hypnosis on evrry road ever and cause an accident)#and also Yes! i DO speed#but i am rarely even Pushing 10 mph on our main road and i respect people who wont go mkre than 1 or 2 over the limit. and i tollerate but#dont love people who do Exactly the limit. i am Annoyed and Loudly but Without Action cursing you from my driver seat if you are doing#between 5 and 10 beliw the limit. and i am 30 feet behind you depending on our speed if you are doing more than ten below the limit. at 15#or more below the limit PLEASE know i am genuinely considering calling traphic control on your ass for dangerous driving because that is#actually genually starting to be dangerous. i dont want to get rear ended at the exit of a half-blind bend because YOU dont know how to#drive. though mind you: these obviously change depending on weather conditions.#and i really dont think any of this is unreasonable because -again- where i am speed limits have little to do with the road itself and#everything to do with population density. except the amount of people walking/biking is minimal *at best* and people just Dont let their#kids play out in the front yard. and also: jesus fuck of course i do 5-10 under in residential areas. im pragmatic that doesnt mean i wanna#risk the life of anyones kid or dog. and fuck knows i dont wanna hit a deer back thete either.#and this MEANS that the roads themselves are more than safe to drive at the speed limit. so no. i Dont think im being unreasonable with#what i expect out of other drivers.#and fkr future reference#my shit

12 Days of Christmas | Day Two
One Day Stand
(A/N: Let’s just assume that it’s modern day and that it all lines up with history and it allllll makes sense and James and (Y/N) wouldn’t actually be senior citizens in modern day. Okay? Okay. Also, I fuckin suck at keeping deadlines for myself, but it’s okay because I’ll get us all caught up. 😂 yoikes.)
You swung your legs over the side of the bed, sliding back into your jeans and throwing your hair up into a ponytail.
“Leaving so soon?” Asked a low voice from beside you.
You scooped up the white T-shirt that had been haphazardly tossed across the room just earlier that evening. “Yeah, I’ve got to get home before the storm hits. I had a great time tonight, though.”
Glancing over your shoulder, you watched James get up from where he was lying and throw a pair of pants on. “I’ll walk you to your car.”
“I’ll be fine—“
A duo of high-pitched, screeching alarms interrupted you, illuminating both yours and James’ phones.
“Winter weather warning,” James read as you opened the alert. “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?”
“Road conditions unsafe. . . Travel is restricted until eleven AM?”
“Looks like the storm hit sooner than expected,” James said, pulling the curtains open to his bedroom window. “Holy shit.”
“Is it really that bad?” You crossed the room to where he stood, peering outside. “Oh, my God.”
You didn’t know when it had started snowing, but from his third story apartment, it was hard to see anything through the blizzard. Cars parked below you were buried in mounds of snow, and even in the heart of the city, there was nobody out on the roads. It looked like the plows hadn’t been out in hours, or if they had, they couldn’t keep up with it.
“What am I gonna’ do?” You asked, clutching your coat tightly. This was not how tonight was supposed to go.
James furrowed his brow, his gaze hard on the snowfall outside. “You could always just stay for the night.”
You shrugged your coat on. “Absolutely not.”
“I don’t see any other options,” he reasoned, “I would drive you myself, but it would be too dangerous for both of us. There aren’t any cabs out in this, and God knows you aren’t going to be able to walk home.”
“I have to be at work in the morning. We, have to be at work in the morning.”
“There’s no way in hell we’re opening the studio tomorrow, nobody will show up for classes.” James took a seat on the windowsill, flipping through the alert on his phone again.
You paused. He was right, no one would show up for training and it would be a huge waste of time and money. “We’d have to give the team PTO for the day.”
“Obviously.”
“Are you sure you really don’t mind me staying? This is so embarrassing.”
James looked up from his phone, blue eyes meeting your hesitant gaze. “Of course I don’t mind, I would have to be insane to let you go out in that. Besides, if I had to be snowed in with anyone, I’d choose you.”
“Again with the cheesy pick-ups?” You laughed, “It’s no wonder you’re still single.”
James clutched his chest, feigning his feelings being hurt. “You’re just as mean at home as you are at work.”
You smiled and rolled your eyes. “What are we going to do all night, anyways?”
James rose to his feet, a slight smirk turning up the corners of his lips. He took a step towards you, and then another, until he’d backed you against the wall, hands on either side of your head. He leaned in, and you could feel his lips just barely brushing against the shell of your ear. It sent a pleasant shiver down your spine, and your hands went to his shoulders.
“I have a few ideas,” he drawled, his voice slow and smooth as honey. “Christmas movies and snacks?”
James burst into laughter, and you half-heartedly slapped his arm. “And you’re calling me mean!”
Giggling uncontrollably, he shook his head. “I even had you blushing.”
You pursed your lips. “Of course I was, can you blame me?” You gestured to the bed you’d shared just minutes before, huffing indignantly.
James’ laugher faded, replaced by a few stray chuckles. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Dick move.”
“Thank you. Now, what are we watching?”
—————
“I can’t believe he calls his children using a whistle, and they all just come marching right out. May need to try that during training.”
“Called,” you corrected, in a matter-of-fact tone, “Maria opened his heart and brought out the kindhearted man from underneath his war-hardened shell.”
James hummed his agreement. “Did you know my father served against the Nazis?”
You shook your head, turning on the sofa to face him.
“The British Army. He’s one of the biggest reasons I joined the S.A.S, you know. To honor his memory.”
“Oh, God!” Your hands flew up to your face. “I’m so sorry, I’m such an idiot. I can’t believe I put on a war movie! Why didn’t you say anything?”
Your hands were pulled away from your eyes, and you found James smiling fondly at you. “It’s okay, really. It wasn’t bad.”
“It wasn’t bad?” You groaned, taking your bottom lip between your teeth. A slideshow played in your mind of all of the scenes that could’ve been possible triggers for James, and each one made your heart drop even more than the last.
“Earth to (Y/N)?”
You blinked. James was waving a hand in front of your face, and had apparently scooted closer to you at some point.
“Hey, I’m fine. I swear.”
“Would you tell me if you weren’t?”
“Trust me,” James said, “you’d know if I wasn’t.”
There was silence. It felt heavy in the air, like the atmosphere knew you both had things left unsaid, unresolved.
“Do you. . . Ever have flashbacks?” James asked, finally.
“Sometimes,” You said with an unsteady breath, “Usually as dreams.”
“. . . Do you ever wish that you didn’t go to Sumatra? Or serve in the war?”
Another stretch of silence. And then,
“I used to.”
You nodded. “What changed for you?”
He paused, as if in deep thought, and then his gaze met yours. “You did.”
Those two words were enough to steal the breath from your lungs. “James. . . We’re business partners.”
“Who have sex. Regularly.”
A sudden laugh burst out of you, and a wide smile graced James’ lips. “Seriously, though! During the war, the things that happened. . . I lost faith in everything. My country, my government, myself. . . And after it ended, I was just kind of here. I freelanced here and there, but it all seemed worthless. I was lost.
“But when I met you, we saved lives together in Sumatra. We opened a training center, and it’s helping people. Everything is different now, and I know that I wouldn’t have gotten here without having gone through what I did in the past. I wholeheartedly believe that everything I’ve done has led me here, to you.”
You didn’t realize you were crying until James swiped the tears from your cheeks, his eyes searching yours. “Shit,” you sniffled. “This was supposed to be a hook-up, and here we are, snowed in, confessing our feelings for each other.”
“If you don’t mind me asking. . .”
You grabbed for his arm, and pulled him over on top of you. Your hands reached up to cup his face, and as many times as you’d been in this same position before, it was different this time and you know that you both felt it. His eyes were endless pools of deep blue, and in them you found trust, hope, and pure adoration.
“I love you, James.”
He closed the distance between you, his lips crashing onto yours with a passion you’d never felt before. He held you like his life depended on it, kissing you like he needed it more than air. And when you finally broke apart, your arms went to wrap tightly around him, pulling him as close to you as possible.
“I love you, (Y/N).”

Psychology
I did a test with Jordan in mind for each of these fuckers.
MBTI type: INTJ-A: Bookish and reclusive are two words to describe this type, and that lines up pretty well with Jordan’s personality as well. They value themselves more so than the relationships they make, and pride themselves on getting things done.
Enneagram type: Type 6: the Loyal Skeptic. Taken from the website “The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it”
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Neutral- Driven by their own purposes, willing to do anything to secure themselves. They aren’t inherently evil, but are only usually only good when it serves their purposes.
Temperament: Take from the website: Phlegmatic - The phlegmatic temperament is fundamentally relaxed and quiet, ranging from warmly attentive to lazily sluggish. Phlegmatics tend to be content with themselves and are kind. They are accepting and affectionate. They may be receptive and shy and often prefer stability to uncertainty and change. They are consistent, relaxed, calm, rational, curious, and observant, qualities that make them good administrators. They can also be passive-aggressive.
Element: Earth
Emotional stability: At the moment in our time line, horrid. Non existent. He is just a giant ball of feelings and he HATES IT because usually he is very put together.
Introvert or Extrovert? Incredibly introverted, if it wasn’t already obvious.
Obsession(s): Books! Clearly. But also his cats as well as fashion and cleanliness and coffee!!!!!
Compulsion(s): Making sure all of his mugs are facing the same direction in the cabinet.
Phobia(s): Claustrophobia
Addiction(s): none
Drug use: Remember the Jordan is a pot head meme. Yeah. That
Alcohol use: usually just a glass or two of wine. Nothing to big. Usually.
Prone to violence?: Heavens no! For all of his lifting, if someone threw a punch at him he’d probably run away.
Prone to crying?: Not in front of people, but he can be a weepy drunk depending on the time nad place
Believe in love at first sight?: Although he is a realist, he has a very very romantic and soft heart, so this one is a yes, although he would never admit it.
Mannerisms
Accent: American
Speech quirks: talks like he’s a bored victorian scholar
Hobbies: reading, writing, playing piano, playing with cats, making coffee.
Habits: sleeping with a light on
Nervous ticks: he touches his hair when he’s nervous or thinking
Drives/motivations: his biggest motivation is staying alive and safe from the government. He knows his power could be used to hurt everyone, not just him, and that is important because there is safety in numbers. Also, he knows that there are mutants who will help him just because he is one of them.
Fears: being taken and tested on or used against other mutants. There is litcherally no fear greater than that for him
Sense of humour?: dry and sardonic. Usually takes amusement in knowing more than you
Do they curse often?: Heavens no! If they are cursing, they are either drunk, scared, surprised, or PISSED OFF. or all of them together LMAO

Attitudes
Greatest dream: to not feel hunted no matter where he goes. He also wants to settle down with someone whom he loves and who loves him, because romance is something he has always fantasized about
Greatest fear: dying before he’s ready, but worse so, being captured and used against his will
Most at ease when: he’s snuggling up with his cats with a nice book
Least as ease when: he is in a high stress situation with no familiar faces.
Worst possible thing that could happen: being captured and used
Biggest achievement: Securing his place in the Kings and consequently out of the police as soon as he possibly could once he turned 18.
Biggest regret: Never resisting the orders of those in his foster home.

I was the first fourth-grader to win in the school bee’s history so they’d never had to deal with that. My father raised a big stink about it because he said that if fourth-graders aren’t eligible for regionals, they shouldn’t have been allowed to participate in the school bee in the first place. Somehow this conflict was so interesting to people (or my father’s just such an adept big-stink-raiser, which is most likely) that it ended up in the newspaper and on the evening news. ...And no, I personally did not fucking care either way. This was just one more example of adults placing undue importance on something that did not matter to me and never would matter in the grand scheme of my life, and just shoving me into a spotlight regardless of my feelings. Also, fuck spelling bees as a concept anyway.

Why trouble yourself with shifting gears? Let it shift automatically.
From being designed for people who could not drive manual cars to be a mark of comfort and luxury, automatic cars came a long way. It proved to be quite helpful in major cities because tiptoeing through rush hour traffic is a daily task. The automatic transmission even makes long drives less restless and tiring: It is built to reduce effort and improve comfort.
As the name suggests, the automatic transmission is capable of changing gears automatically as the vehicle gains speed. There is no need to manually shift gears which can become tiring in traffic or with continuous usage. Automatic transmission brings some changes around the car when compared to the normal manual transmission vehicle. It could benefit your driving experience and car's overall health to know what some dos and don’ts are while driving an automatic car and we're bringing you exactly that.
1. Get the clutch pedal out of your mind.
The clutch pedal is already out of your car, now it needs to be out of your mind. But the absence of a clutch does not mean there are no gears. They do have gears and most of the gear changes are handled by the car itself. That is why there's just the brake and accelerator but no clutch pedal.
The issue you could come across if you started as a manual driver is the tendency to apply clutch, but there will be only brake and accelerate for automatic. Any car, may it be manual or automatic will be upset if you apply both the pedals at the same time. People who are used to manual transmission tuck their left foot behind their right foot to slowly get used to an automatic. You can follow this tip to keep your left foot from forgetting that it is not a clutch on the left-hand side.
2. Get used to minimal gear shifts.
Before you jump into riding the automatic we recommend you take some time to get used to the gearstick. Even though you will only have to use it occasionally, the time you will need to reverse in a hurry you will be glad you took some time to get used to it. There won't be much use to a gearstick compared to a manual, but when you do use a gearstick you should hold the brake down (like the clutch in a manual).
There are four basic gears in an automatic.
P- Park
You should make sure your car is in Park before you start the car and back to Park when you turn off the engine because in Park the wheels can't run in neutral with gears locked in.
R – Reverse
This is obviously for going backwards.
N – Neutral
If you need to stop for more than a couple of seconds like at lights or in traffic, you can shift to neutral to stop the car from moving and apply the brake to avoid rolling.
D – Drive
D is for moving forwards and when you're moving forward fast enough, the car takes care of shifting gears to second, then third and so on.
But some automatics have other options on the gear sticks and you might see:
1: First gear- This is used to climb inclined roads.
2: Second gear- This one is also used to climb inclined and hilly roads.
L: Low gear, it can be First or Second, it depends on the road.
S: Sports, as the name indicates, it is for punchier acceleration.
3. You might slowly move without hitting the accelerator.
If you are in Drive or any other forward gear, an automatic car will move slowly forward even if you don't press the accelerator. It moves slowly backwards if you are in Reverse also. This is commonly referred to as 'idle speed' or 'creeping' and due to this, it is recommended to keep your right foot hovering over the brake when you are parking or slowly moving traffic or driving on occasions where visibility is low like in stormy weather. You can always use the handbrake to make sure your automatic car does not move forward when you do not want to.
4. Different conditions require different adaptability.
There's no debate on the fact that automatic cars are certainly easier to learn to drive in. Because there is no need to think about the time-consuming process of shifting gears, the learners can shift their focus to other parts of driving like mirrors, speed, pedestrians, etc. But people who are used to manual transmission may notice some differences, but on motorways, there's rarely any difference. Automatics are great because staying in traffic jams in Drive is the same as staying in top gear. You will find the 'creep' feature as an advantage while you are parking. But some people think automatic car does not give them as much control compared to manual while overtaking, going up or downhill and towing.
However, there is an O/D (Overdrive) button in the older automatics which is present in the gear stick that gives the engine a bit more power. But most new models don't require this button because they are smart enough to know when the driver wants a bit more power.
5. Practice
Practice as you do with operating or using anything you are unfamiliar with. You must accept this is not the same as driving a manual and there are differences. Practice somewhere with minimum traffic and preferably somewhere outside main highways. It would not take much long if you are already a manual driver, because it is mostly about keeping your hand off the gear stick and left foot out of the way.
6. Leasing an Automatic Car.
Car leasing is the most cost-effective way to use a car and if you are going to use an Automatic it could benefit you more by leasing it. You can find out how it feels and how comfortable you are in using it for some time without having to buy it. And who knows! You might decide to never shift back to a manual car again. You can start your car leasing journey with one of the leading leasing partners, ALD Automotive. For a detailed introduction to car leasing click here.

TPR061818 - Familiar Faces
Derek Deseleigh stared at the opposite wall of his cell, letting his mind wander wherever it pleased. Throne knows there was nothing else to do. He had no idea how long he would expect to be here, what with the Constable and his remaining deputy under the thrall of those snake-kneelers. Those elves that caught him didn’t seem in too much of a hurry to actually stop this whole thing. No, they were letting that other group do all the work. Bartram was sick over it, two different sets of trouble working against them. It was too much, he had ordered everyone to pack and prepare to retreat back to the lair when they were overtaken.
So close, he thought. He could have just slipped away during the long journey to the swamp with no one the wiser. Moved on with his ill gotten gains. Sadly that was not in the cards, rotten luck this time Des old boy, that’s all it was. All you can do now is wait to see what they plan on doing with you. If you hadn’t shot your mouth off you could have continued to play the patsy and claim you were charmed like the others. Too late for that. Far too late.
The door to the office clicked and slowly swung inward. It was too early for dinner. Must be coming to start questioning, well, I won’t make it too easy on them. At least, that’s what he thought, until a familiar face appeared through the doorway and stared at him in stunned silence.
“Des?”
“Well, look who it is. How are you kid?” Derek stood up and offered an arm through the bars which Lash took eagerly, clasping at the forearm for a hearty shake.
“What are you doing here of all places?”
“Hookhill’s gotten a bit stuffy for my taste recently, what about you?” He gave the elf a long look over, noting the sword at their hip, the armor, the traveller’s pack. “Don’t tell me you’re the ones causing all the trouble around here?”
“A lot’s happened since the heist Des, but yeah, we’re here to deal with your ‘friends.’“ The look Galumak was giving them was making things quite awkward, and Lash didn’t quite feel like explaining at the moment. That was a conversation for another time. Hopefully far off in the distance.
“Speaking of which, we hear you managed to shake of their influence? I’m going to need you to expand on that for me. What did they do?”
“Not much to tell really, I was in town on my way South when they snatched me from the Golden Grain, brought me into the swamps and into the layer of this giant snake with the face of a woman.”
“A Naga.” Galumak corrected, his arms were crossed over his chest, still appraising the man in the cell.
“Right...well, this Naga just stared at me and I could feel it trying to get into my brain. Somehow I was able to shake it off, but something told me they wouldn’t be too happy about that so I played along.” Derek paced the inside of his cell, swinging his arms back and forth as his first few days in Orlane came rushing back to him.
“They set me up at the Inn, helping kidnap travelers that spent the night. Originally the plan was to make a break for it the first chance I got...” He paused, a sheepish smile growing on his lips. “But then I couldn’t help but notice all the money they were collecting for their god. Apparently she likes shiny things.”
“Don’t we all?” Lash laughed, then immediately flushed remembering Galumak behind them. They cleared their throat and straightened up. “So you stuck around to skim money off the top. Look, Des...this needs to stop, people are getting hurt. Do you remember which way they took you?”
Derek smiled and leaned forward against the bars. Lash should know how this works by now, you don’t get something for nothing. It seemed they needed a little reminder. “I might, of course, it’s not something I can do behind bars if you catch my meaning.”
“You show us where the lair is, I’ll make sure you get out of here.” Dorian and Lyliwillan would not be happy about this, but even they would have to admit it was a fair trade. Besides, if the two Samaritans knew half of what she did in Hookhill they probably wouldn’t be on such good terms to begin with.
Lash turned to leave and stopped on their heel, slowly returning to face Derek, face suddenly very serious. “Just so we’re clear though, you’re done with the whole cultist thing after this.” It wasn’t a question.
“Oh, of course. This was merely an opportunistic venture, you should know me better than that.”
“Just had to make sure Des...people are dying here. You were right to play possum, the people that don’t take to the conditioning are tortured before trying again.”
The color drained from Derek’s face which said more than words on how well informed he had been of the cult’s operations.
“And those who still continue to fight, are slaughtered.” Raam didn’t bother hiding the distaste he had for the man. He didn’t soften the blow. He aided the killing of innocents and Raam had no patience for people like this.
“...may the Queen forgive me.” Derek hung his head, sinking back into the cot stretched out onto the floor. He didn’t consider himself the best of people, but he had at least hoped he had lived his life devoid of actions that would label him a monster.
“If you atone, if you make it right, Nayru forgives all.” The teifling’s voice softened, less the accuser and more the strict parent. Talking about his faith tended to bring that out in him, what he would consider the best of him.
“Yeah, get me out of here and I’ll take you right to their doorstep.”
---
“This is how it worked.” Derek pushed into a small section of the wall, revealing a long dark crawlspace. “This runs all along the back walls of the South rooms. They would assign anyone targeted to those rooms, and in the middle of the night myself and a handful of other cultists would enter each room through a secret door and snatch them.”
“How many cultists lived here?” Lash ducked down, peering into the crawlspace, trying not to imagine the terror of being dragged out of your bed in the middle of the night and into the arms of a cultist.
“Five or so, they had the rooms across the hall.” Derek’s tone changed back to reserved guilt. He slid the wall panel back into place and went to retrieve the one thing he knew would console him. Opening the small trunk he pushed aside a pile of clothing and pulled out the false bottom, smiling down at the twin leather sacks that hid there.
“All right, I’ve got what I came for. When did you want to head out?”
“That depends, how far is it from here?”
“About three days with good weather.” The sounds coming from the sack as they left the room and began descending to the lower floor of the Golden Grain left little doubt as to their contents.
“You might want to keep those bags a secret from the others.”
“I take it you have’t told them about what you used to do in Hookhill?”
“Not entirely.”
“Turning over a new leaf are we?” Derek smiled over his shoulder, only half serious. Thieving was the only life he knew, but he wasn’t blind as to the lack of morality in what he did. Things were different back in Hookhill, there were plenty of people with more than enough to go around. He found that this kind of behavior was harder to live with in the country, where so many had so little.
“...old habits die hard I suppose.”
“Don’t I hear that.”
---
The road to the swamps was a long winding trail that passed through the plains outside Orlane, and skirted through the Dim Forest. Although cold, the clouds that hung overhead failed to produce any foul weather. A small breeze blew through the dead grass of the plains dropping the temperature only slightly. It was almost a pleasant journey, the silence of the Fallow season bringing a calm upon them that was interrupted only once.
They broke camp on the first night just outside the dense collection of trees that marked the border of the Dim Forest. Behind the crackling of the fire the sounds of beasts and monsters that roamed the darkness of the wood could be heard on the breeze. By the time Galumak was ready to give up his watch to Raam a soft collection of moans intruded onto the camp.
A small group of shambling figures stumbled onto the plain, the smell of rotting flesh starting to reach their nostrils. Judging by their garb they were an odd collection of humanoids, very recently deceased, and obviously slain by foul means by the gaping wounds in their chests and necklines. They were farmers, merchants, and travelers with evidence of clothing from the other regions. Raam wasted no energy upon them, with a wave of his hand the ground around them churned and broiled before erupting into a sea of briers and thorns. The pitiful undead had only their driving hunger to guide them, and ignored the brambles that slowly tore them to shreds, halting their advance before that came anywhere close to the camp.
On the second day they passed through the Dim Forest with the guidance of Lash, skirting them pass the roughest terrain and avoiding any creature that might cause them trouble. Even with the lack of leaves, the canopy of bare branches and twigs that tangled above them was dense and darkened the forest to the point where it no longer was clear what time a day it was. The pushed forward until the temperature dropped, the darkness growing thicker around them, the only sign all day that time still flowed around them. Watches that night were uneasy, filled with the sounds of the beasts and monsters of the forest. Cautious footsteps circled around them, the cries of some large bird broke their peaceful slumber. Only Lash passed the evening peacefully, to them, this was home.
It was on the third and final day that brush and undergrowth gave way to reeds and muddy water. With each step the swamp rose higher and higher until they were knee deep in the fetid water, the only trees that surrounded them were now willows that twisted up towards an overcast sky. They awoke to the roar of a wind that blew out of the south, the reeds made a deafening hiss as they rattled against each other making it impossible to tell if they were in fact theonly creatures in this quagmire. Lash kept glancing behind them, uneasy at the idea that the wind obscured their senses. Pushing through, a light snow began to fall, an eerie contrast of pure white against the earthy colors of the swamp.
“Well, there she is.” Derek stopped and pointed to a fallen tree a few meters ahead of them. A small island of dry land had been formed by a system of dykes fashioned from sticks and mud, blocking the flow of water away from the gaping maw rent into the earth. The tree must have been felled by some strong winds some time ago, ripping it out by the roots what seemed to claw at the sky with gnarled fingers.
“You sure?” Raam ask mostly to see what his answer would be, already he could smell the stale stench of Troglodytes in the air.
“You think those dams built themselves? Yeah, I’m sure. She should be all the way down on the bottom level.”
Raam nodded, satisfied with the response. “Is there anything else we should know?”
“Oh, yeah I almost forgot. In the first room it looks like they have a bunch of townies acting as guards. When they took me in they stopped an made a kind of signal to them.” Derek closed his hand revealing only his fore and middle fingers, crossing his arm over his chest and placing his hand over his heart. “Might be something worth keeping in mind.”
“Thanks Des. I take it I won’t see you when we get back?” Lash turned to their old companion. Seeing him brought back a rush of conflicting feelings. It was a life they had left behind, but not entirely given up it seemed.
“This is where we part ways once again.” Derek nodded, clapping Lash on the shoulder. “It’s good to see you made it back on your feet.”
“Where will you go from here?”
“Not sure, I was heading south when I was caught by the snake kneelers. Might keep pushing that way. Hochoch, maybe east to Oak Hill, who knows. Not quite ready to cross into Reven just yet.”
“Take care of yourself Des, and try and stay out of trouble this time.”
“No promises.” The two shared a laugh before Derek turned away to find his bearings. After a few moments he was trudging off into the distance, disappearing into the reeds.
“Well,” Lash turned back and drew their quarterstaff at the ready. “You gentlemen ready to finish this?”

You seem like an adventurous person! XD but do you have an tips for someone who goes on solo adventures??? (because sometimes friends are not able to venture out with you :( )
(This is a weirdly over-involved answer, like way way more than anyone really needs it to be, but it’s a post I’ve been wanting to write up outside of Tumblr for a bit, so please bear with me!)
When I travel solo, I like erring on the side of caution, because I like being alive and maximizing my chances of staying that way. In most contexts and in most places, solo travel is not dangerous, but staying aware of your situation and having the ability to adapt to potential dangers is even more important when you have no one to pick up your slack (and no moral support if things go sideways).
Chances are, nothing is going to happen, and everything will be fine. Even if you abide by literally NONE of these guidelines–except for the one about water–you will probably be totally fine!
1. Know Your Car.
Take your baby in for an oil change, check-up, that sort of thing.
Pay attention to your car, too. Listen to him! This is especially important if you’re driving in unfamiliar weather/terrain conditions, or you think you might have damaged your car in medias res.
2. Abide by the ¼ tank rule.
#2 is basically just know your car. You don’t want to run out of gas. It’s tragic, time-consuming, and potentially dangerous for any number of reasons. So why risk it at all? Obviously if you’re someplace urban this doesn’t matter. But if you’re not, gas stations are not always plentiful. And sometimes they’re out of gas. And high winds, weird temperatures, etc. can be witchcraft when it comes to your fuel economy. So I always plan to start looking for a place to fill up when I’ve got about a quarter tank left. In my car, in the summer, on the highway, that gives me 100-150 miles of wiggle room. USUALLY, you are at least 150 miles from a gas station. Even in Nevada.
3. Know Your Place.
You don’t need to get your PhD in Carsland (or wherever it is you’re traveling), but you should have some idea of what the laws are, what the weather’s like, what the crime rates are like, what the wildlife is like. Are U-turns legal? Is this state strict about its passing lane (i.e. Kansas)? Its speed limits? What is single-lane, one-way bridge etiquette like? Can you be in X part of this city at Y time safely? Are there bears? Will you need a bear box/container? Do you know how to deal with a mountain lion? What about a hippo? Ticks? Is the water potable?
If you’re traveling internationally, do you know where to get the appropriate currency and do you know the conversion rate? Do you know how emergency services works, and what numbers to call? Do you know where the consulates are? Do you know what’s going on in that country right now/are there political events, etc. that you should be aware of? Make a copy of the contents of your wallet, especially your state-issued ID and your passport/visa.
4. Plan Your Route.
I know I was just talking about unplanned roadtrips, but generally speaking, plan your route. XD At the very least know when/where you’re starting and when/where you plan to end for the day. Depending on how comfortable you are with your trip, you can either make a literal itinerary or leave it at that. It’s helpful to know approximately where you’re headed for the day, thoughwhether that place is “this exact campsite where I already have a reservation” or “idk somewhere along I-70 I guess.”
The main point of your itinerary is to that you can leave it with your emergency contact, and they’ll know to come find you if you don’t check in. Don’t be like my sister, who never checked in and didn’t leave an itinerary and my mom thought she was dead but it turned out she was actually just in Arizona.
5. DRINK WATER!
Bring it. Drink it. Keep an emergency jug in your car, in addition to the 2+ liters you plan to actually drink/cook with. Bring double the amount you think you’ll need if you go hiking. If you’re backpacking and that’s not feasible, drink small amounts at intervals and pay attention to how much you have (and how far away the next water source is). Dehydration is not something you want to risk alone.
6. Why stop at gas? Overprepare, generally speaking.
Basically, when traveling alone, you want to minimize the likelihood of crap going down whenever possible. So double up on everything and do your homework. Got a GPS? Cool. Make sure you have analog maps, too. Make sure you can read an analog map. Have a mental picture of where you’re going and what the directions are before you start out, so you can tell if you’re about to get hideously lost before you get hideously lost. Make sure you’re ready for the elements, and potentially being stuck in them. Even if you’re only going for a day hike, bring your flashlight; your first aid kit; some food; some kind of jacket/shelter from elements; money; your ID.
7. Don’t drive at night if you don’t have to.
This is just me. Some people don’t mind it. But it’s harder to find your turnoff in the dark, particularly if the place you’re headed isn’t well-marked–or again, is someplace rural, and all you’ve got are your headlights. You’re also less likely to hit large wild animals in the daytime. And if anything happens, it’s less creepy during the day and it will be more likely that you’ll be able to find someone around who can help you if it’s not 2AM.
8. Say hi.
This applies more if you’re camping/on the trail than in other contexts, but it’s trail/camp courtesy to at least say hi, even if you don’t really want to get all bff with strangers. This way if something happens to you, people will remember you, and the authorities will be able to construct a rough timeline of where you were before you disappeared. The people you say hi to may also be the ones who report you missing, if you don’t return to basecamp. In less dramatic situations, they may be the ones who have the can opener you forgot, or extra money in their meter, or whatever.
9. Always have food.
I mean, you don’t want to be hungry! I like having a store of napkins and condiments absconded with from various restaurants or grocery stores. Places like HyVee or WinCo or any grocery store with a deli area probably also has little packets of mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. that don’t require refrigeration. “Have food” isn’t a solo travel tip, per se, but pouches of tuna + a mayo packet can take you far in life when sitting down to eat a meal isn’t really as interesting as it would be with travel partners.
10. Pack smart.
Make sure you actually know what you’ve packed and where you’ve packed it. It will make transitioning from car to motel or car to campsite or car to day hike, etc. that much smoother, and in the event of emergency you’ll know what to grab and where it is. The way you back for a backpacking trip is not going to be the most convenient way to have your things packed if you’re driving in your car, etc. Keep a flashlight in the front seat/in an accessible place when you’re away from your car. Make sure your first aid kit is readily accessible. Make sure it’s OBVIOUS so that it’s accessible even if you’re not the one using it on you. Instead of stuffing it under the seat, for instance, place it on top of everything else. Make sure it looks obviously like a first aid kit. If you’re out hiking, go ahead and just clip it to the outside of your pack. Where is no point in bringing it if you can’t get to it under duress. XD
11. Bring die-casts!
Because little metal friends add to the spice of life, obviously.

So to help motivate me to write more and to keep myself sharp, I’ll be doing a series where I start writing randomly and just go with the flow. It’ll be a continuous story but I have no ideas for it or plans. It just depends on the day what each entry will be like. Hope everyone enjoys this.
Up on the clinically plain wall, the clock ticked away but the hands didn’t move. A junked up gear somewhere in its mechanical guts had disabled the plastic disc, but it still feebly worked to keep the time. The air was struck every second by the weak clicks, and Choyce stared at it out of boredom. Nothing else worth looking at was in the waiting room beside the other two patients. But they didn’t acknowledge her at all. Their faces were hidden behind old newspapers from decades ago. All that could be seen of them were the drab clothes and weathered hands. Idly she pushed one of her thick locks behind her ear as another thick black drop dripped from her nose. It splashed into her lap, further straining the denim of her jeans. She had stopped trying to cover it up, as it the oily fluid just ran through any tissues as if they weren’t even there. Choyce leaned her head back as she felt another drop run from her nose and over her lips. Wiping it away in annoyance she sighed as the clock continued to tick fruitlessly. She didn’t know how she had gotten in this lobby, but it was terribly mind numbing. There was only one door in the stark white room, and chairs lined its walls like a typical waiting room. She could leave, but every time she thought of doing so she got tired of the idea or her mind trailed off. It just seemed right to be here. It's not like she could think of anywhere else she had to be. The last thing she remembered was driving to Denver through Kansas. The trip was just as bland as this room. As far back as she could remember on the reflections of the day, she had been surrounded by nothing but flat endless fields and a starry night sky. The moon had even been out, but it was only a waning crescent. It had still been pretty though. That didn’t change that she was in a strange place that she had no recollection of entering. It would figure there was amnesia involved. Still the clock ticked. The girl was beginning to believe the older people with her were just ignoring her completely. They weren’t even turning the pages. Their wrinkled hands hadn’t even twitched. Another drop fell from her nose, and the clock stopped ticking. Across the room, the door finally opened. A nurse stood there, but there was something off about her eyes. It was as if they could only look in one direction. As her head turned to scan the room her eyes didn’t budge. Her turning face landed on Choyce, and she smiled. It was off put by the fact that most of the whites of her eyes were exposed. “The Dr. C-47 will see you now,” the nurse said, “Please, follow me.” Finally, Choyce was able to peel herself away from her seat without getting distracted. She followed the nurse into the hallway, and she noticed that even now the eyes didn’t move as the woman turned away. In the hallway it was bright. Florescent lights beat down onto the cream tiles like an angry sun on a desert. As the two walked, the passed no doors to examination rooms or offices. It just went on and on. The hall was painted in the same bland hue as the lobby, and when Choyce leaned to look past the nurse all she could see was a haze. What was this place? She wanted to ask but her tongue felt glued to the roof of her mouth. The nurse didn’t speak either, the only sound from her was the click clack of her heels. A replacement for the beat of the broken clock, and just as rhythmic. Every so often, another drip of the strange black liquid fell from the girl’s nose. Looking back she could see the trail she was leaving. She felt guilty but felt too embarrassed to try to say anything. After an eternity the hallway finally ended with a single door. The nurse opened it and revealed a room with a single operating table surrounded by surgical equipment. Above it was a body length mirror, dirty and chipped with age. Shelves filled the room as well, and they were filled with jars of strange things. Shapeless things. Well, mostly shapeless. She could recognize a few organs in the jars and even saw small animals inside them. Like the kind that would be in a science classroom. Striding in the nurse stood by the operating table and patted it gently in invitation. Hesitantly, Choyce obliged and sat down on it. Half of her was flabbergasted at this obviously stupid decision, but the other half felt that it would be rude to not do so. She hated being rude. She really did. Tenderly the nurse pushed Choyce to lay down. Once she was prone, the woman pulled out straps from under the table and secured her down. Again, half her brain was speechless at her willingness to do such a thing. But still, the other half argued it would be rude to protest, and that it might hurt the nurse’s feelings. Watching the nurse tie her down, Choyce could see that her eyes had been turned all the way around. All she could see were the whites of her eyes. Another drop slid down her nose. “The Doctor will be with you shortly,” the nurse said cheerfully as she finished. With a smile and nod, the woman left, closing the door behind her. All Choyce had now for company was the reflection above her. Her dark face stared back at her with hazel eyes, splattered with black oily slop. Her clothes and jacket were stained with it as well. She worried about how hard it would be to wash this stuff out in the laundry. Minute by minute passed by, at least she assumed so. There was no clock in here keeping time, broken or otherwise. Unless it was digital. It was probably digital. Pondering this, the door clicked open once again and the doctor stepped inside. There were many things wrong with Dr. C-47. Very many things. Like how his body was no bigger than a beach ball and shaped like a pinto bean. Like how his arms were longer than she was, and his hands were like spades with long fingers. Like how his legs, just as long as his arms, were backward like a cricket's. Or his eyes, shining and glossy, with yellow and pink irises. But the thing that unsettled here the most was that Dr. C-47 really was dressed like a doctor. Medical coat and stethoscope and all. It just didn’t seem like such things should belong on a man like this. “Capgras Syndrome is the condition in which a patient believes that their loved ones have been replaced by impostors,” the doctor said as he waddled to the table. “You don’t say?” Choyce replied. Nodding with his whole body, the doctor plucked a scalpel from the bedside and considered her. Leaning over her he looked her up and down. He placed the blade under her chin and with a precise slice he cut through her clothes, her skin, her muscles and her meat. It didn’t hurt, but it didn’t feel all that great either. Definitely not one of the best sensations. “A bite from a Lone Star Tick can make a victim allergic to red meat,” Dr. C-47 said conversationally. Choyce didn’t answer. She could see her own vocal cords in the reflection above and figured it would be pretty gross to see them move around. At least the form of the doctor blocked out the rest of her body. She could still feel him rooting around inside her though. This was wrong. It wasn’t right, this shouldn’t be happening. Right? A drop slid down her face from her nose. From the bottom of her vision, Choyce could see the doctor pull something out of her. She wasn’t sure, but it looked like her heart. With a shrug, Dr. C-47 tossed it over his shoulder and continued digging in her guts. “Nerve impulses travel to and from the brain at about one hundred and seventy miles per hour,” he said almost accusingly. Now he was pulling out her lungs, and he dropped them with a splat on the floor. “The acid in a human stomach is strong enough to melt some metals,” the doctor chided as he torn away her liver. More and more the strange man stripped her of her vital organs until finally, he pulled out what looked like a wad of melted tire rubber. It even smelled like one. “An estimated thirty-two million bacteria live on every square inch of human skin,” Dr. C-47 mused with a squint. Rather than tossing this object away, he placed it back inside her. She felt him pat it affectionately before walking away. In the reflection above, Choyce could see she was now empty of all her organs from the neck down. The only thing inside her, under her rib cage, was the black glob. Across the room, she could hear the tink of glass on glass as the jars were shifted around on the shelves. Straining her eyes to look, she could see the doctor gather up an assortment of jars with his impossibly long fingers. Shuffling back he placed each jar around her and rubbed his hands together. “The human body contains up to three hundred thousand billion red blood cells?” he inquired. Dr. C-47 waited for Choyce to respond. She nodded uncertainly. “A human’s kidneys filter blood up to three hundred times per day!” the doctor exclaimed in delight. Excitedly he unscrewed the jars and began dumping them into the shell of her torso. The formaldehyde in the jars chilled her, and the things inside felt slimy on her exposed bones. Choyce wasn’t sure what the doctor was putting into her, but she saw what looked like three stomachs and a late term fetus of a lamb. Plunging his hands once more into her body, Dr. C-47 resumed his work. Sickly green water sloshed out of her, and she could feel it filling her throat. Whatever surgery this was, she was more than ready for the doctor to wrap up. The whole ordeal felt like it was taking longer than it should. Wasn’t she supposed to be put under or something? It's not that it hurt, it was just so strange and surreal. Like she was seeing something she wasn’t supposed to. Like finding a locked box that smelled like sweat in a parents closet. The waiting through the operation was worse than anything. Another drop slid from her nose. The doctor began to stitch her back up. It was a sweet relief to finally be put back together, even if it was a little different. Choyce was sure that the doctor knew what he was doing, so his process was probably for the best. She just wished her breath didn’t smell like a body in a casket now. It was a little nauseating. “Asprin has never been approved nor rejected by the FDA,” the doctor said proudly as he sewed in the final stitch. He undid the straps that bound Choyce and helped her to her feet. Her body felt strange and new, but at least Dr. C-47 had sewn her clothes back together. It was just a shame it was a little lopsided. She wouldn’t complain about it though, she didn’t want to be rude. “Thank you,” she said, her breath making her feel ill. Opening the door for her, the doctor bowed his strange bean body and smiled, “The enamel in teeth is the hardest substance in the human body.” Smiling awkwardly the girl nodded and stepped out of the operating room and found herself back in the lobby. The old people were still there, but now she could see their faces. But that was probably only because they were eating their newspapers. A new door was in the lobby now, or maybe she simply hadn’t noticed it before. A shining EXIT sign hung above it. Stepping outside she walked into a nearly empty parking lot. It was still night, and the waning crescent moon shone above. Choyce found her car and hopped in. Starting it up, she pulled out and drove away. She hoped she would find a gas station soon. The issue of her breath had to be addressed as soon as possible, and she was desperate for some mints. Would those be strong enough to get rid of that chemical smell? She wasn’t sure. At least the strange fluid that dripped from her nose had stopped. On and on she drove. She wasn’t sure where she was, and there were no road signs to be seen. By some miracle though, she could see the glowing yellow sign of a gas station up on the horizon. She couldn’t make out the pink letters of it though, but she didn’t really bother trying to read them. Pulling in she hopped out and went inside. The station was a little disappointing, most of the freezers empty of drinks and the shelves cleared of most food. There wasn’t even an attendant at the checkout. This place had almost nothing. No food, no drinks, no people. At least there was plenty of wiper fluid. In fact, there was three aisles of it, all the same brand. Thankfully though Choyce found some breath mints. Walking up to the absent counter she rang the bell. No one came. She waited a half minute before ringing the bell again. Still, no one came. Shrugging, she pulled money out her wallet and dropped it on the counter and walked out. Sliding back in her car she ate a handful of mints. They crunched as she ate them, but still, she could taste the chemicals and smell it in the back of her throat. Mega gross. As she popped more in her mouth, something began to bother her. Something was wrong as if there was something out of place. Actually, a lot of something out of place. A feeling that things weren’t as they should and she had just accepted it without realizing. Wracking her brain she struggled to grasp why she felt like this. Then it clicked. She forgot to pay the doctor.

Incorporating the span and body weight of a towed vehicle increases the obstacle. The truck ends up being a lot more difficult to browse and quit as well as the risk of a mishap boosts. If you possess greater than one loved ones vehicle, towing isn't a choice.
Possessing someone drive the truck while one more like a spouse steers the cars and truck is actually more secure yet brings its own set of problems. Interaction in between automobiles could be difficult despite cell phones as you certainly never understand when you will definitely strike a dead location. If you possess numerous household autos you may not possess enough vehicle drivers.
Having your vehicle carried by an automobile transport firm suggests possessing merely the moving truck to bother with. Numerous motorists can easily always keep one another company and may take switches steering, lessening the chance of road a hypnotic approach.
Automobile transportation is additionally excellent if you have actually employed a moving company
If you have hired with a firm to relocate your family possessions, you have actually already helped make the decision to leave the difficulties to the professionals. Not merely performs it save you the gruelling labor of filling as well as dumping, a knowledgeable moving company can easily obtain your possessions stashed in a fraction of the opportunity you can.
Auto delivery companies offer the very same conveniences. Permit an expert professional move your auto properly so you can concentrate on more vital concerns.
Even if you prepare to steer one car, you might desire your different motor vehicles to be actually shipped. This is especially true for vehicles like boats.
What's the negative aspect?
Car shipping lugs very handful of negatives. In reality the only actual trouble is the cost. Although it is a quite inexpensive approach of moving your autos, it is actually not complimentary and performing it your own self will certainly be less pricey. Then again you could possibly mention the exact same concerning fixing a gear box, creating a home, or executing an appendectomy. Occasionally it deserves it to permit the specialists do it straight.
Just as long as you work with reputable companies, there aren't every other primary drawbacks. Usage services along with years of experience as well as total insurance coverage to ensure your experience is actually a beneficial one.

Term Life Insurance Ownership?
My wife and I are in our 40's and 50's. We have created A/B trusts and transferred our assets to them, and expect to have estates that will benefit from the estate tax saving these trusts afford. We recently both purchased $1M 10-year renewable term life insurance policies that we expect to keep for 10 years. We chose not to use life insurance trusts because the purpose of the policies is to replace the lost income of the deceased spouse if one of us dies relatively soon, not to increase our final estate, and the trusts are somewhat costly. We each specified our own trusts as the beneficiaries, because we want the disposition of assets specified there to be used for this money. The trusts provide for the income, and principle if needed, to be paid to the spouse, and for the remainder to be paid to our child at the remaining spouses death. The question of ownership of the policies is less clear. My lawyer says that it doesn't make much difference who owns them, because the value (estate) taxed is only one year's premium, not the $1M. My accountant says that the $1M is taxed, and that each policy should be owned by the other spouse to avoid tax on that amount. A friend said that there's no way to avoid or significantly decrease the tax, so just leave the ownership as is (each spouse owns their own policy). A further fly in the ointment is that the insurance company (Massachusetts SBLI) makes some forms of trust ownership more difficult and costly. I'm confused. What ownership is the best? What is the benefit of that choice? Thanks for your time.""

Home insurance wants to raise dwelling coverege?
I purchased a townhome in March of 2013 for $183k in Florida. It is in a 200-unit subdivision that just completed all construction and sold out all last remaining units a few months ago. When I signed up for home insurance, the insurance company set my dwelling coverage to $183k. I told them that it isn't accurate for them to base dwelling coverage on market price because the replacement cost must be lower since market price includes land and profits the builder makes. Long story short, they convinced me to stay at $183 because they said costs were rising and so forth. I decided not to fight it. Fast forward to this year, and now they are proposing to increase the dwelling coverage to $203k (11% increase). Funny thing is that for my exact townhome model, about 20 units were sold in the last year with prices averaging in the upper $180s (slightly above what I paid). I called the insurance company to let them have a piece of my mind, and they told me they use an independent 3rd party company to price the replacement costs. I told them it's BS because it's way above average market price and replacement costs is always below market price. They asked me to send them documents from when I purchased the home that details the construction materials used and upgrades so that they can reevaluate the dwelling coverage. My question is, why is the burden of proof on me to prove to the insurance company that dwelling coverage should be lowered? Why can't they just reduce it to what I tell them to reduce it to? After all, I am the customer who pays for the insurance. If my house is ever destroyed and I underinsured, that's my problem not theirs. I just find it strange that I'm paying for an insurance service and the insurance company decides what the replacement cost is, not me. Even though it doesn't affect them.""

Could health insurance work if we used the free market system?
The history of Health Insurance is that employers started offering it as a benefit as a way to entice employees to work for them. Prior to the Affordable Health Care Act, the only real choice consumers had was to go with whatever their HR Director, or Benefits Director, said they could have. I've wondered for a long time, why does health insurance not work like car insurance, for example. Why not completely seperate the relationship between Health Insurance providers and Employers and let people get Insurance from whomever they choose? Can someone please explain to me why we don't severe the dependency between employers and health insurance?""

I just got into an accident 5 days ago. I still don't believe it was my fault if anything maybe both of ours. Regardless she had minor damage. She was on the phone obviously not paying attention as I was pulling out of the driveway when she was attempting to pull into a drive way across from the one I was pulling out of. So as you can imagine it's hard telling. We both have scratches on our left hand side bumpers but she has a dent that can be fixed. She had her friend with her so it was hard to really even defend myself because it was her word against mine. She called the police, thank God they passed because no one was hurt. They just told her to take down my information and deal with it. She took down my license plate, took pictures, such a drama queen, it honestly wasn't that bad. She has my license number too but when I when I went to call my insurance provider, they said it wasn't renewed. No police report, and she hasn't called me with a quote. How much trouble can I get in??""
About how much is car insurance in British Columbia?
About how much is car insurance in British Columbia, particularly Vancouver or nearby? Perhaps if you could share how much it costs you or someone in your family with a good driving record. Perhaps give a hint of what car you have, liability limits, etc. In the U.S., you can get online quotes. For Canada, I've never seen anything like it.""
I'am 16 and does anyone has an idea how much would be my car insurance. i live in toronto?
16 yr old and wondering
How does the age of a car factor into the cost of car insurance?
Obviously there is more than one factor that influences the cost of car insurance. I know that when a car is newer, it usually costs more to insure than a car that is older. For example, a 2009 Chevy Impala is more expensive to insure than a 1983 VW. But, suppose I bought a vehicle like a 1957 Lincoln, 1955 GMC, or a 1956 Plymouth (or some other car from that time period)? If it wasnt something that people easily recognize like more popular cars from that time period, would it cost less to insure? (They arent as recognizable or popular, in the sense that if one was driving a 1957 Chevy, or a 1959 Cadillac or a Thunderbird, most people would instantly know what it was, but if I drove a 1957 Lincoln or a 1955 GMC, most people wouldnt immediately know what it was.)""
USAA Full coverage auto insurance covering theft?
Last night my husband and I were hanging out with some friends and someone broke into all of our vehicles and stole stuff. However, my husband and I drive a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer and it was locked, yet someone managed to get in without causing any damage whatsoever and stealing our xbox 360. Weird thing is, my purse was in the car with everything in it, and so were the guitars for guitar hero and our entire CD case, and the only thing that was stolen was the xbox...Weird I know. We go through USAA and have full coverage. My question for anybody who knows or has a good guess is, do you think that our insurance would cover that? We don't have a receipt or anything since it was bought so long ago. Thanks for all your answers in advance and remember best answer gets 10 points =] Happy answering! Amberly""

How do Insurance companies pay for medical bills?
I was in an accident last year that led to me being in the ICU for a few days. I incurred a hefty medical bill as a result. The accident was not my fault, and the driver was insured. I am going to a mediation to decide how the money the insurance company can pay will be divided between those of us that were injured. My question is, when we come to an agreement, will the insurance company send me a check or will they send a payment to the hospital where I owe money?""

I am looking for liability insurance for my business for wedding and events. They asked me if I was doing any other type of work currently. My reponse was that yes I am involved in being cameraman for one project and editor for another. I have not signed a contract or getting paid for any of these projects, simply volunteer. They came back stating that if they were to insurance me, I as an invidividual would no longer be able to be part of any project or post anything of my personal stuff on youtube. Help with Car insurance cost?
ok so im 17 1/2 year old male and ive been driving since i was 15 1/2. As of right now im covered under my parents insurance with Mercury auto insurance and i pay $500 for 6 months of coverage ($1000 a year). I am currently covered for the three cars that my family owns 1996 Acura 2.5 TL (my crappy car) 2008 MBenz C300 (moms) 2011 Mazda 3 (Dads) So heres my question.. My car (the TL) is starting to break down and the cost of service is outmatching the value of the car. So ive been saving up to try to get another car and i am going to put down 40-50% of the money and my parents are gonna pay for the rest. The cost of the car is not the issue i was wondering more about my cost of insurance for the cars that i am interested in. I know that my most accurate response would be from the Insurance companies themselves, but i dont have time right now. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about how much i should pay per month for these cars. So the cars im interested in ( theres alot lol) are: 90's Toyota MR2 (preferably turbo, but i could live without it) Subaru WRX (Non-STI) Nissan 350Z Honda S2000 BMW 330i (coupe only) 00'-04' Ford Mustang GT There are others but i cant remember them right off the top of my head.. I know its gonna be WAY more expensive then what i pay now and that most of these cars are 2 door and 2 seat which will just make it worse. But im really willing to work for it and like i said i pay my own insurance bill. So how much do you think each of these cars cost for monthly insurance? And of the cars listed which would you most recommend?""

How much money does your insurance go up after a car accident that was your fault?
I am doing an essay on distracted drivers and I just wanted to know the statistics.
How much can I expect my car insurance to go up?
I was in an accident tonight where I was at fault. I was turning left, and my view was blocked by a large line of cars with a few large trucks in front, so I couldn't see anything. I inched out a little bit to see if I could see if there was any oncoming traffic and a car came flying out from behind the lineup and glanced off of my front end, and skidded into another car. After the writeup was done, I got a citation for $84.00 for failure to yield the right-of-way while making a left hand turn in a 3 car accident, and got 4 points tacked onto my license. One woman was apparently hurt , when she hit her head on the steering wheel, and said she needed an ambulance, but she walked over to the ambulance when it arrived all by herself, didn't seem too hurt. Anyways, I am 18 years old and this is my first accident. I was wondering how much I can expect my insurance to go up per month and how long it is going to be raised up?""

Insurance companies will have 32 million new customers because of Obamacare. How is this socialism?

5k Survey LIII
2701. What does 'equal' mean? >> www.google.com 2702. Do you believe in the phrase 'all men are created equal'? What about woman? >> I don’t believe in that phrase because the people who coined it didn’t even believe in it -- the “men” they were thinking of were not men that looked like me and mine, for example. So when they said “all” they didn’t even mean “all”. And, of course, they certainly weren’t counting women either. So. 2703. Have all persons been specifically 'created'? >> Not to my knowledge. 2704. Are all persons exactly equal? >> Of course not. 2705. Or do they just have equal rights (in theory)? >> Yes. That is what the phrase is supposed to mean. Can we move on now?
2706. Does art reflect society or does society reflect art? >> I assume the former makes more sense than the latter. 2707. Are you living under a little black raincloud or a ray of sunshine? >> I mean, weather conditions are variable things... 2708. What do you wonder about? >> I wonder about a lot of things, but nothing is at the forefront of my mind right now. 2709. What is better..being single and free or being in love and responsible to another person? >> That’s a fundamental weirdness in how people think of relationships, to me. To say that being in a relationship means you are no longer “free” kind of disturbs me. I haven’t lost any freedom by being in a committed partnership. In fact, I’ve gained some -- I’m not forced to deal with everything on my own, so I have more time, space, and money to do what I want. And having a sense of responsibility towards someone else isn’t exactly a negative thing, I don’t know where people get that idea from but it’s kind of fucked. 2710. What vitamins do you take? >> I don’t take vitamins. 2711. In checkers..red or black? >> I don’t play checkers. 2712. Is The Crow a great movie? >> I love it, personally. 2713. Do you wear all black frequently? >> Yes. 2714. Do you ever call yourself a poet, artist, or musician? Has your writing been published, your art been hung in a gallery or your band been signed? Does it matter? >> I call myself a writer because writing is a thing I like to do. I’ve actually had art hung in a gallery once -- I made a collage at queer art camp and a small gallery in SoHo displayed all of our art at the end of the camp. That was pretty fuckin cool, to be honest. Anyway, no, that kind of thing is fun but it doesn’t matter to me -- I don’t want to make a career out of any art form. 2715. When insects get into your house, do you kill them or catch them and take them ouside or leave them alone and let them live with you? >> I either leave them alone and let them die on their own (because they probably will, eventually), or usher them outside if I can. Flying insects are the worst because the dumbasses will evade every attempt at shooing them back into the open air where they belong, but crawling insects are very easy to put back outside. 2716. Name at least one person who's birthday is in: Jan.- Feb.- Sparrow’s father Mar.- Apr.- May- me June- July- Aug.- Sept- Sparrow’s sister Oct- Sparrow Nov- Dec- 2717. Which would you consider to be a worse criminal: a pedophile or a necrophile? What if it was between a pedophile, a necrophile and a murderer? >> I’m not going to rate criminals, lmao. I think paedophilia has a far more lasting direct impact on a living person’s life than necrophilia does, though (of course necrophilia has negative impacts on the lives of the deceased’s loved ones, but that’s indirect impact). 2718. Do we start to die the day we are born or start to live the day we die? >> What the fuck... 2719. Have you ever called your mom or dad a four letter word? >> No. I would have been beaten real good for that. 2720. Do you believe america should go to war with iraq? >> Well, no matter what I thought about it, that’s exactly what America did, so. 2721. Agree or disagree? “There is too much concern in courts for the rights of criminals.” >> Disagree. “Abortion should be legal.” >> Agree. “The death penalty should be abolished.” >> Agree. “Marijuana should be legalized.” >> Agree. “It is important to have laws prohibiting homosexual relationships.” >> Disagree. “The federal government should do more to control the sale of handguns.” >> Agree. “Racial discrimination is no longer a major problem in America.” >> Hard disagree. “Wealthy people should pay a larger share of taxes than they do now.” >> Hard agree. “Colleges should prohibit racist/sexist speech on campus.” >> Agree. “Same-sex couples should have the right to legal marital status.” >> Agree. “Affirmative action in college admissions should be abolished.” >> I’m actually not knowledgeable enough about how affirmative action works (and whether it’s been beneficial or detrimental in the end) to have an opinion. “The activities of married women are best confined to the home and family.” >> Hard disagree. “People should not obey laws which violate their personal values.” >> This one seems a bit more loaded than I’d like to deal with. “Federal military spending should be increased.” >> Disagree. “Realistically, an individual can do little to bring about changes in our society.” >> Disagree. If the only change that matters to you is widespread systemic change, then yeah, this statement would be correct. But that’s not the only kind of change that matters to me. Why did you agree or disagree to that last statement? >> Because I think people tend to discredit the benefits of small, local change. A lot of small-scale changes can often jump-start widescale change, in fact. I just think individuals get demoralised because they think they either have to change the world or not do anything at all and that’s not how it works. Our actions matter too, even if it’s as simple as just helping a friend in need or refusing to be a party to discrimination when you witness it. 2722. Let's say that after you die you become a spirit and you join all the other spirits. Not all of them have lived. You are talking to some who have never lived about how you HAVE lived. One of the spirits who has never lived says they think they will travel to earth in a human body soon and live. They ask you what three things on Earth should I be sure not to miss? You say... 1. What the fuck is this question 2. 3. 2723. What kind of ass is the sexiest (flat, round, tight, hard, meaty, juicy, small, big, stacked, packed, petite, barely there, curvey, muscular, etc.)? >> --- 2724. Is there something beautiful and special about everyone? If yes is there something beautiful and special about Hitler? How about Bin Laden? What is it? >> It seems more likely than not that there’s something beautiful about everyone. Since I did not know Hitler or bin Laden personally, and especially since the former’s actions were so heinous that it pretty much overwhelms anything good about him, I cannot tell you what’s beautiful about them. 2725. Have you ever moshed? If yes to what bands? If no then would you ever? >> No, that’s not my idea of fun. I do like watching other people do it, though. 2726. Do you like sushi? >> Yes. 2727. What mood are you in? What does your mood depend on? What depends on your mood? >> I’m not really in any sort of mood. I’d imagine my mood depends on my nervous system and the balance of chemicals in my brain and shit like that. 2728. wHAT IS faith? what is common sense? Do you have either or both of them? >> Faith has a pretty simple definition. I don’t know about common sense, that one gets used to mean “anything I know that I think everyone else should know or otherwise I’ll think they’re stupid idiots” way too often and it’s made me hate the term. 2729. Is perfection or imperfection more beautiful? >> --- 2730. Would you think a person doing the following things has a healthy or unhealthy level of insanity? gives the finger while driving? tells their life story to people they just met? walks up to people and tried to convert them to a religion? says blah? >> I don’t judge people on a scale of sanity <-> insanity like this, that seems pretty fucked up. 2731. Do you think this is a great line of poetry: "Journey with me into the mind of a maniac. Doomed to be a killer since I came out the nutsac" Why or why not? >> It doesn’t speak to me personally, but that’s fine. Much poetry doesn’t. 2732. Do you think that song lyrics are poems with music? >> I think that’s one way to think of them. 2733. In cases of rape which do you think is more of a crime: a stranger rapes a girl OR a girl's boyfriend rapes her? >> I can’t imagine thinking that a rape is “more of a crime” depending on whether the victim knew the rapist or not. Rape is rape. 2734. Did you know that in the USA it is considered to be LESS of a crime if a rapist knows the victim (because it is 'less of a crime' the rapist gets a less severe punishment)? Do you agree or disagree and why? >> The US has a lot of weird ideas, yes, I know. Obviously I disagree, considering my answer to the last question. 2735. In the USA a few weeks ago a guy had beaten up and raped his girlfriend, for which he got 70 days of community service. He had been found guilty, got a year and a half of jail, BUT can you guess why his sentence was reduced to mere community service? He had a steady job. That's right. He was found less guilty, because he had a long-term steady job. How does this make you feel? >> This doesn’t surprise me because there are many cases like this. Shit like this happens all the time in this country -- a man (it’s usually a man) has a steady job, or is a “pillar of the community”, or simply is white, and he gets away with murder (sometimes literally). Our justice system has been corrupt from the start. 2736. Does the character limit of notes or entries annoy you more? >> --- 2737. wHO'S YOUR FAVORITE WRESTLER? >> I don’t have one. 2738. Have you ever been trapped in an elevator? >> No. 2739. What is more important, tact or honesty? >> They are partners. Honesty delivered with tact gets the best results. 2740. Do you have a mentor? Who? >> No. 2741. If you like guys: would you rather have a 'bad' guy (motorcycles, smokes, drinks, etc) or a 'good' guy (family, domesticated, nice guy)? Would you rather have a virgin or a more experianced guy? If you like girls: Would you rather have a virgin or a more experianced girl? would you rather have a 'bad' girl (motorcycles, smokes, drinks, etc) or a 'good' girl (family, domesticated, nice girl)? >> ---
2742. Do you feel nervous in crowds? >> I feel overwhelmed and overstimulated in crowds. 2743. Did you write a real entry today? What about? Was it your best writing? >> Like, a journal entry? I keep a daily journal, yeah, but I update it throughout the day so it’s not finished right now (it’s only 10a). It’s not supposed to be my “best writing”, it’s just for myself. 2744. If you were making a 'best of' entry about your BEST entries ever what would be your top 5 best entries? >> --- 2745. Do you like to play the lottery? >> No. 2746. Guess what? >> --- 2747. Why did you choose to live one more day? >> I didn’t choose, technically. I mean, I chose not to kill myself or whatever, but generally I’m still alive because my body is still running, not out of any conscious choice that I made. 2748. What is the most beautiful myth you have ever read/heard? >> --- 2749. Have you ever been stood up? >> Yes. 2750. Finish the following senatances any way you want. It's always darkest before.. Never underestimate the power of.. Don't bite the hand that.. A miss is as good as a.. If you lie down with dogs, you.. Love all, trust.. The pen is mightier than.. An idle mind is.. Where there is smoke, there's.. Happy is the bride who.. Two is company, three's.. None are so blind as.. You get out of something what you.. When the blind lead the blind.. Laugh and the whole world laughs with you. Cry and.. >> I feel like if I was in the mood, I could think of some silly ass answers for these, but I don’t feel like it right now.

When you review Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty to Victoria Leader's Reclaim, a great area to begin goes to the amount 17. Yes, 17 considering that Cindy Crawford is actually 43 years of ages, and Victoria Head is actually 60. That is a difference of 17 years, as well as their items possess a great deal to perform with the skin complications females closer to their generation have the tendency to come across. Relevant brand names are transformational; they strive to change our own selves, our lives and also our cultures right; they provide our team along with the products, companies, tools, and appealing knowledges that can help folks progress. They find out about notation, or the means of describing human actions through the use of composed symbolic representations and abbreviations. Verses off your favored tunes are actually constantly fantastic options for you to look into. It is essential to keep in mind that there is nobody point that creates a gift relevant - what possesses definition for a single person will certainly not essentially keep the very same meaning for another person. And also's exactly what I desire to discuss today: the things that, in broad strokes, make a successful, significant life, a lifestyle from addition, a lifestyle from success. It is actually a standard subject and multitudes from men are actually possessing the complication from sexual weak spot. Medicaid EHR Incentive System- Entitled experts as well as qualified medical facilities might certify if they uphold, administer, upgrade or even reveal the purposeful use qualified Electronic Health and wellness Record technology in the very first year from their engagement, and also carry on revealing this in the following years from engagement as well. X-mas was celebrated by offering presents like cigarette less heavies, costly ash trays, as well as festive cartons of one's preferred company. As someone that devoted many hours constructing a product that basically no person preferred just before beginning my own consulting business (which, fortunately, is much more prosperous than my first item) as well as introducing an on the web training course organisation, I've ended up being very familiar with what definitely makes work relevant. Children that grow up on ranches have a head start somehow over area children, because they often have significant work to carry out as aspect of the family members organization off a very early age. In other words, meaningful use digital filing maintaining is actually to benefit both the person and their health professional. Along with meaningful work you receive thus associated with this then passes without your being aware of it. The result of your work at this point is actually lesser compared to performing the job. Medicare EHR Incentive Program-Entitled experts, allowed healthcare facilities, and CAHs (Vital Accessibility Health centers) have to reveal the significant use of accredited Electronic Health and wellness Report modern technology in very year from their involvement in the plan. That is actually useless to mention at the starting point, I need to not compose greater than 300 terms hereof", due to the fact that FIVE HUNDRED words might be actually the minimum required. Yet another example would certainly be in memorizing the verses from the tunes or even in don't forgeting accounts that you could have checked out before. Whatever kind of job you do-whether you are actually freelance, helping other people, or even one thing in between-if liberty, complexity, and also a relationship in between effort as well as reward exist, this's my belief you possess a much better odds from making your job meaningful. Human beings are actually diverse and complex and that is wonderful; however, when our company build a better understanding from our own selves, our experts are a lot better prepped to take pleasure in a significant everyday life. I purchase to possess a productive cinquain, like various other poems, the writer needs to pick his words very carefully as well as construct a meaningful and wholehearted rhyme. Discussing significant food items opens up a door that lets individuals in, and seeing these accounts is actually merely a privilege. The View, Install, and also Transfer (VDT) report gives uses info to determine if they fulfill the Meaningful Make use of Phase 2 solution for patients responding on their health info. Foreign language is actually constantly context-determined: words depend upon other phrases as well as on the planet to which they relate and refer. Blossoms can make the excellent technique for you to interact your views to your significant other. Although some affection estimates as well as sayings might seem basic, but they deliver a tough, deep definition that transcends words as well as touches your heart. When our experts pick a location to possess significant communication, just what I am claiming is that we ought to consider all of them. The words and also wordings are actually creative and also the tale motivates readers to look into lifestyle as well as the world around all of them. Numerous males have actually had their ears flexed to show their potency as well as sexual abilities, although this is not as considerably a factor today as it was years back. In today's electronic globe, consumers are actually regularly being pestered along with information from a wide array of labels; this is why this is actually thus necessary to break through the mess in a relevant technique. D. One group of grown-up males was taught in lowering their high blood pressure whereas one more was certainly not provided any guidelines. I have actually fallen for the simplicity, beauty, and also emotional deepness from Meaningful Food items Stories. Financiers have to make an impression on upon candidates that they count on meaningful improvement throughout the tax obligation code, and that a 2nd phrase just will not happen without that. It is actually very clear off everything said above, that creating an effective organisation is about establishing relevant relationship with a targeted group from people. Though DC single people are most likely to enable you to approach them at a pub without being actually harsh or as well cold, people that often tend to be most receptive at bars are actually certainly not essentially the people you wish to possess a purposeful partnership with. Some skin specialists assert that Meaningful Appeal could not reverse the results of sunshine harm despite product cases. This will certainly make your verse even more relevant and also enable you to believe much better concerning your job. Some tracks from prayer consist of: Vunna Pattuna Vochu, Thrahimama Kristhunada Daya Choodarave, Nadipinchu Nanava, yesu nannu premichinavu. Ear determining is used today by each males and females as a means of physical adornment and to share their individuality equally they were actually due to the ancient Ainu of Japan, or even the Dayaks and Berawan of Borneo. For young kids, signs perform not normally suggest anything because they are actually simply arbitrary embodiments from genuine objects. You would certainly be actually far better off using your social networking sites presence to support your networking efforts, where you could make up meaningful relationship along with a smaller team of targeted people. Quickies might sound like the sort of thing guys would be into as well as ladies would just accept. Obviously, this posits that joy and happiness is actually somehow totally connected with providing one's lifestyle relevant. Relevant Charm's 30-day introductory offer is actually $29.99 along with a refund assurance. There are two main parts from significant interaction: the stage and also interaction. A number of the greatest men and women to encounter for a connection carry out not head to bars - they meet folks through a variety of tasks, like cooking food lessons or manual teams or exploring nightclubs. A few of the best stunning Aztec metal workmanship can be checked out to present in the form of magnificent ear spools or connects meant for use with assessed ears. Vacationing as a whole isn't really economical, but this surely doesn't have to cost a leg as well as an arm to see a place like Florida, understood for amazing weather condition as well as lovely seashores. These wonderful layouts were conformed by regional rug weavers, as well as the Herat Prayer rug was birthed. Companies need to start creating devotions to individuals, as opposed to pledges, and consider themselves as allowing platforms that direct people to accomplish the outcomes that are actually relevant to them. Although some kinds of amusing quotes are actually considered to be politically inaccurate, this is actually commonly exactly what creates all of them prominent for a time. This indicates that despite the fact that you may possess developed substantial systems of connections using your social networking sites systems, you are going to simply ever before be able to communicate along with these people daily; you will definitely certainly never have the capacity to form any sort of sort of purposeful connection along with all of them. Along with relevant job, you usually work tougher than ever, yet with so much more satisfaction compared to you ever thought feasible. This is actually one thing that men don't talk about but 'DRIVE THEM WILD' when they acknowledge this and experience along with in you.

While 2017 already seems to be set with a lot of fresh ideas, new Nintendo Switch IPs, it’s also the year of new racing simulations. With Forza Motorsport 7 and Gran Turismo Sport coming in October, the season for sport simulations racing games kicks off with Project Cars 2 from Slightly Mad Studios and publisher Namco Bandai.
Despite its clamorous appearance, Slightly Mad Studios’ isn’t as demanding as other true racing simulators like Assetto Corsa or the ridiculous iRacing series. Instead, Project Cars 2 has to deal with a wider audience and constantly navigates between pure and hard simulation and the arcade-ish player, as other have done (like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo). The game easily showcase this extreme in simulation levels, as you go from one page to another in the rather more ergonomic menus, with a series of driving aids for the amateurs – braking, steering, damage management, etc. – or opt for none like the true virtual driver you are. Compared to Project Cars’ first game, this sequel is a tremendous leap in physics, with a special mention for the grip sensation, now more sensitive, with an overall finer driving feel, and the change of surface has an immediate impact on your vehicle.
At launch, Project Cars 2 will have 170 cars to choose from, with each vehicle having its own reactions and force to get used to, and it’s up to the player to adapt its steering to suit the environment. It will take numerous laps of before mastering all the type of cars, and there’s plenty of them, ranging from Formula 1, GT, Indycar and even Go-karts. Project Cars 2 offering is wide and will satisfy even the most demanding driver, even if the realism does not reach the same level of execution depending on the class chosen, but at least I’m really happy with their rallycross mode, which is great considering it is Slighty Mad Studios’ first attempt at the sport.
The same load of content can be found on the circuit side. Claiming to have the highest count track roster of any game, Project Cars 2 has over 140 routes spread out in sixty locations, which some can be a real surprises. You’ll obviously find the iconic Laguna Seca, Le Mans, Nürburgring, but there’s some great rural tracks like the Circuit Rallycross de Lohéac or even the the Dubai Kartdrome. There is even the possibility to drive historical circuits as they were back in the days, like the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps or Autodromo Nazionale Monza, but also some fun extreme condition tracks like the Sampala Ice Circuit.
On the front of weather condition, LiveTrack 3.0 was one of the highlights of Project Cars 2 during its reveal, and they were right to bet heavily on it. Behind this somewhat technical name is a system that allows the races to undergo real weather changes, which evolve in real time, and have a direct impact on the runway. While most other games opt for just a visual weather engine, Project Cars 2 goes the extra mile, by showcasing how mother nature can completely ruin your skills if you’re not used to those conditions. For example, after a few laps under a bright sun, rain might occur and cover the surfaces of the circuit, which consequently will result in girp losses of and force the player to adapt his style of piloting, or end up losing precious seconds – or even crash – while driving in huge puddle of water. Where it gets great visually and shows off the weather engine, is when the sun gets back, and you start seing those puddles of water evaporate from the heat of our star but also the friction of the car’s tires. To make the long story short, Project Cars 2 requires constant adaptation and it is not uncommon to have to go through the pit stops to make some changes in line with the weather forecast. Rainy, snowy, foggy or even stormy, the game handles perfectly the weather conditions on top of a great day to night cycle.
With controller in hand, Project Cars 2 plays decently. You actually feel the weight of the vehicle, ranging from the mass transfers or the loss of grip, as well as the roughness of the road which are transcribed with a fairly astounding fidelity. You’ll soon learn that it is necessary to know how to press gently on the triggers, in a sense of how Forza Motorsports 5 introduce Impulse Trigger on the Xbox One. But even if the game does not meet the requirement of a so-called “real” simulators, it can be very frustrating for pilots less accustomed to this type of games. For example, when exiting a turn, avoid accelerating randomly, as you need to keep in mind many factors into account like the temperature of the wheels which affect your grip. All these elements play a big factor in your driving experience, but the advantage of Project Cars 2 is that, like its predecessor, offers a hell lot of settings and options to play around. Everything is absolutely configurable, from the number of opponents to their aggressiveness level, or what you can deactivate in terms of options such as tire wear, breakdowns, pit stop.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
On the front of game modes, Project Cars 2 is pretty much a continuation of the first game. The title is thus divided into three main branches which are Career, Quick Play and Community. Before embarking on your for you first career season, players can opt for a solo “training” race on the circuit, with the car of your choice, and even do that online in private practice sessions. Whether it’s online or online, Slightly Mad Studios’ game does the job, but mostly relying on its Career mode. While I expected something more, players basically start a career with the discipline of his choice and even according to his own options, and go through races, qualifications or even training tours. Eventually, more challenges will appear, with Invitational Events (which are really fun and range from Historic to Urban races), but also the concept of affinities with manufacturers to unlock special races once you gain enough affinity with the brand.
With such a large community built over the success of the previous game, Slightly Mad Studios went full on with the eSports angle, and built competitive and broadcasting tool in the root of Project Cars 2. In the community section of the game, players will be able to catch with the competitive news of the game, join and compete in events or leaderboards linked to your profile, but the best part is that you can now be a show director and broadcaster. In the role of the director, the player can manage all the camera shots and choose the cars on which he wishes to focus, as if it were a televised event. As for the broadcaster, in addition to relaying the race on YouTube or Twitch, he will have the opportunity to do commentary on the race. This is a great tool for eSports operators but also smaller communities that can now show off their driving skills in a professional way.
My main concern though about the game hasn’t changed sadly, even though it was pointed pointed at numerous times in the first Project Cars, and that’s the issue of the AI. For a game claiming to reach for realism, the AI drivers seems to be switched into bumper mode, with a weird aggressiveness toward pushing you off track. While this defect can be fixed by modifying the aggressiveness of the opponents in the options, it doesn’t truly disappear, and can be infuriating. Among the other inconsistencies that I have noted are the collisions, which besides being a little strange, sometimes have the art being illogical, almost to the point of being a development bug.
On the technical front, Project Cars 2 is one prestigious and solid game. In addition to the exemplary 3D models of the cars, we now benefit from meteorological effects that are just astounding (previously mentioned above). The graphics engine is mind-blowing, and I almost regret that there are not enough wide tracks to admire the sheer work done on the sceneries. The most anal of all gamers will be mesmerized by the overflow of crisp textures, even if some slight tearing occurs from time to time (on Xbox One at least). But overall, the game stands out very well, and it is worthy to mention that it runs with upscaling at 4K on the PlayStation 4 Pro so you can enjoy a high quality HDR game. For the more demanding ones, the PC version of Project Cars 2 is insane, supporting up to 12K resolutions, 21:9 aspect ratio and triple-screen support from the start.
Project Cars 2 was reviewed using an Xbox One downloadable code of the game provided by Namco Bandai. The game is also available on PlayStation 4 and PC in both digital and retail releases. We don’t discuss review scores with publishers or developers prior to the review being published.
As expected, Project Cars 2 is an excellent racing game, continuing its legacy of appealing to hardcore or simple racers. While 2017 already seems to be set with a lot of fresh ideas, new Nintendo Switch IPs, it's also the year of new racing simulations.

Going Back to (Northern) Cali, Part 3: Something’s Wrong with This Sandwich
The third day of my most recent trip to Northern California was an interesting one. The best laid plans don’t always work out, but I’ve been known to improvise. On this Saturday, I got to revisit one of my favorite Norcal tracks. I also encountered something quite awful. This article is going to be a roller coaster ride for sure. This particular sandwich has two good pieces of bread with some rather rancid stuff in between.
The actual trip was centered around a Greenskeeper.org “GK Plays” outing at Yocha Dehe Golf Club in the late afternoon. It was GK’s first really big outing in the northern half of the state, so I was happy to support it and it was a good excuse to play that wonderful course again.
A friend joined me for the last two legs of the trip. Well, for the parts that mattered anyway. We were set to get a really early start on Saturday with a 5:49 tee time at Diamond Oaks. We had purchased a Costco voucher and everything, but they did not have our reservation in the system. In fact, the pro shop guy was kind of rude about it and we were forced to scramble for a backup plan...
Wildhorse Golf Club • Davis, CA • 7/22/17
Fortunately, we got turned away so early we still had time to get out at other courses that don’t open up until a little later. Wildhorse was originally going to be the second round for the day after what we expected to be a quick first-out-of-the-gate round at Diamond Oaks. My friend called over and the pro shop guy at Wildhorse was awesome. He told us to get over there as quickly as possible and he’d get us out just behind a few of the early bird members.
We motored our way from Roseville back toward Davis, and we were teeing off at Wildhorse a little before 6:20. We had to hop around at one point on the back nine to avoid a slower threesome ahead, but we still finished in just over two hours. The price for a Saturday morning round was $50. A bit steep by this area’s standards, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Though we’ll need to go back and play Diamond Oaks sometime in the next couple months before the voucher expires, I feel confident we got the better end of the deal at Wildhorse. I’m quite sure it’s the better course of the two.
Wildhorse was designed by Robert Muir Graves. I tend to find his courses enjoyable and this was no exception. It’s not a layout or setting that will really wow you. It has a somewhat familiar feel as some other Central Valley and Sacramento courses I’ve played. It’s kind of a heathland/savannah style layout (farmland links, if you will). There aren’t too many houses around the course as only a handful of holes border some residential areas. Beyond that, it goes back and forth through some lightly wooded areas, environmental hazards and some wispy long grass around the edges.
I’d say the 14th and 15th holes are the highlights of the course. The 14th is a nice par-3 over water. The 15th is a tricky par-4 that might require some long hitters to lay-up in front of the big natural hazard. Once you are safely positioned, then you still have a fairly demanding shot toward the green. The greens here are on the large side with some good undulation as you might expect on a course of this style. Nothing too crazy, though.
Wildhorse was in good overall shape. The tee boxes were fine. The fairways were mostly nice. Everything was very wet and overly saturated with watering, so there was no roll-out and some sloppy divots. I’m certain it would play better a little later in the morning once it has dried out some. The rough was a bit spotty in places, but adequate where it mattered. The greens were very soft and rolling well at medium speeds. The bunkers were wet and compacted early with okay sand.
As the only public regulation 18-hole course in Davis (or nearby Woodland for that matter), Wildhorse is a good, quality option for locals to enjoy. If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a place to tee it up, you should be satisfied with your visit.
Some pictures from Wildhorse Golf Club (7/22/17):
The day started off on an odd note, but the morning round ended up pretty good. However, it altered our plans slightly. My friend has already played all the short courses around Sacramento and had no interest in playing them again, but I knew that was my best way to make the most of the remaining time I before I had to be up at Yocha Dehe.
So we split up and I went solo for a couple of really crappy short course rounds. Bear with me on these next two reviews or just feel free to scroll down to the Yocha review. The following images may be considered NSFW.
Sunrise Golf Course • Citrus Heights, CA • 7/22/17
In short, Sunrise Golf Course earns the dubious distinction as THE WORST golf course I have ever played. I have played plenty of stinkers over the years, so that is saying something.
This place was absolutely terrible and I can’t imagine how the golf course is staying in business. They do also have a disc golf course, and the layout is very serviceable for that purpose. In fact, I wish I had brought my discs with me instead of my clubs this time.
They have a small driving range here and that seems moderately popular. Otherwise, they need to close the regular golf course and just focus on the disc golf and/or driving range business.
I ended up paying $25 to play the nine holes with a cart. It was obviously not worth that, but at least the cart helped me get it over with faster. It was one of those rounds that really makes me rethink my goal to play “everything” I can.
Sunrise is a par-31 layout with four par-4s in the mix. The lengths of holes are adequate, with the par-3s ranging from 130 yards up to 165 and the par-4s ranching from 274 yards up to 348.
Otherwise, there is nothing positive to say. The conditions are absolutely abysmal here. There is barely anything resembling grass on the property. Most of it is just dirt, sand, weeds, acorns and whatever else is just there with no noticeable maintenance whatsoever. The “greens” are just a mess with nothing salvageable. I can’t even find the words to describe how bad things were.
So I will leave it at that. Of all the crappy little courses I’ve encountered, Sunrise takes the cake. I rarely root for courses to fail, but this place needs to be closed immediately and roped off as a natural disaster area.
Some “pictures” from Sunrise Golf Course (7/22/17):
(You may want to avert your eyes.)
OK, so there is some decent looking grass on the shot above. I take it all back!
Nevermind. I reinstate my “worst course ever” claim. Check out that beautiful 9th green above!
Not even Sunrise could break my spirit as I had time to work my way back toward Yocha and squeeze in one more junker...
Woodland Meadows Golf Resort • Woodland, CA • 7/22/17
This name may not sound familiar to anyone, including locals. It used to be called Mountain Valley Golf Center and the name just changed recently. If you think about it, it’s funny that they went from one oxymoronic name to another. You can’t be a mountain and valley at the same time, nor can you be a woodland and meadows. WTF people?
Speaking of the name, please note the “Golf Resort” in the new name. I don’t know how they can call themselves a resort if there is nowhere to stay. The place is literally just a smelly (literally smelled like pee inside the pro shop/bar) trailer and a maintenance barn. I guess a stay and play package involves a sleeping bag out in the parking lot? By the way, as bad as the pro shop smelled, the actual bathroom was unbearable. I held my breath and got in and out as quickly as I could.
Conditions were not good here either, but they were light years better than Sunrise. There was at least some reasonable grass coverage from tee to green. The greens had serious issues as most were at least 50% burnt with giant patches of bare sand. Where there was grass on the greens, it was actually not too terrible.
This is another 9-hole executive (or just a par-3 course depending on which tees you play). There are some forced-in black tee boxes that you may or may not be able to locate at times. From what I can tell on the scorecard, there are a few par-4s if you play the black tees (or for the ladies, as well). It’s kind of confusing. I just played the blues and considered everything a par-3 to keep it easier.
It just plays in a fairly open area around some ponds and trees. Those come into play a few times, but overall it’s a pretty simple and forgiving layout. There’s not much else to say.
It is what it is. It seems like they have a decent amount of local regulars that don’t seem to mind. I think the price was $20 to play the nine holes with a cart. Again, worth a little extra to get around quickly. I had to play through a couple groups, but they were all nice.
If I hadn’t played Woodland Meadows right after Sunrise, I probably would have been harsher. Still, I would say to anyone, don’t bother with this place.
Some pictures from Woodland Meadows Golf Resort (7/22/17):
To quote Young MC, “every dark tunnel has a light of hope.” Or maybe I was like Andy Dufresne crawling through 500 yards of s#!+ to come out free on the other side. Whatever metaphor you want to use, better things awaited me on this day...
Yocha Dehe Golf Club • Brooks, CA • 7/22/17
I first played Yocha Dehe (part of the Cache Creek Casino/Resort—a real golf resort) back in December 2012. You can read my original review here.
Like Bodega Harbour the day before, the weather this time was vastly different. That first time, it was raining off and on. The conditions were soggy, but everything was super green and lush throughout the course and the surrounding hillsides of this beautiful valley setting.
This time, it was hot and dry. The surrounding hills were a light gold color, which provided some nice contrast with the green grass of the course. On the unfortunate side, they had done some turf reduction here since my last visit (the drought definitely hit this area hard). They didn’t do much with those bare areas, so that took some away from the aesthetic presentation (especially the great view of the course from the clubhouse or the severely elevated first tee box).
The heat of the very hot summer this year also took its toll. Three fairways had big sections closed off and were playing as GUR because they were so damaged. The starter was upfront and apologetic about this, and it’s good they take such measures to get the repairs made correctly. Beyond that, there were a few more brown and thin spots throughout the course that you might not normally see here. Overall, I would still say the conditions were really good. They just weren’t up to the usual Yocha Dehe standards. I rarely ever read any bad reviews of this place, so the high expectations are warranted no matter what time of year it is.
Now that all that is out of the way, I want to focus on the positives. Yocha is a really cool course with a very fun and challenging layout. The first tee shot is epic with a 150-foot drop down to a wide open fairway. For whatever reason, the logo is no longer painted in the middle of the first fairway like you’ll see in my original review and photos.
The front nine is solid. There are a few memorable holes, but it’s not overly exciting. It keeps you engaged just enough until you make the turn. After that, this course gets more and more interesting with just about every hole. The 10th, 11th and 12th holes feature elevated tees and play along the hillside. The 13th is a neat (and long) par-3 set in the middle of a vineyard. The 14th is a demanding dogleg right over a hazard. The 15th is a unique par-4 with a split fairway and all sorts of strategic options to consider. The 16th is another nice par-3 over water.
Then, you have the gauntlet finish of 17 and 18. The 17th is a short, but deadly par-5 with a slightly elevated green that is very well-protected by a water hazard. Only the bravest will go for this green in two. For the “smart” people who lay-up, it’s still an uncomfortable approach over the water and rock wall surrounding the green.
The 18th is a beast of a finisher, with similarities to the infamous 18th at Goose Creek in Southern California. It is a long dogleg right hole around the lake. The green is elevated and rather well-protected. It’s a very demanding finishing stretch capped off by a stunning 18th.
I found myself more in awe the first time I played here. This time, there were some slight disappointments with the conditions and I also already knew what to expect with the layout. However, I still loved the course and will continue to consider it one of the best of the best in Northern California. It is out of the way and more expensive than most Sacramento area courses, but it is worth the effort and expense. It is highly recommended.
