Announcing the Drinny Fall Fic Fest 2024!

This fic fest is for Draco/Ginny pairing with 40 Fall & Halloween-themed prompts. (Artists welcome!) Minor ship friendly & minimum 1k words.

I’ll be hosting this fest with @escapeinmybookshelf and we’re so excited to have folks join!

The git had situated his pumpkin–which, to her aggravation, rivalled hers in size–next to her own. He’d already started laying out his tools by the time she’d noticed.

“Absolutely not.”

“There’s no rule stating we can’t work wherever we like–just that we have to stay within the boundaries of the pumpkin patch,” he said with a smug tilt of his chin. “There’s nothing stopping you from moving elsewhere. This space just so happens to have the optimal amount of sunlight.”

“Why should I be the one to move when it’s you crowding me?” she replied in disbelief. Still, she looked around, hoping to find an open spot. To her dismay, the number of participants seemed to only have increased. Chances of her finding anything better than what she already had were slim.

Brush crunched underfoot as she stomped over to the two pumpkins. Using her wand, she scored a line deep into the dirt between them. “You’ll stay on your side if you know what’s good for you, Malfoy,” she sneered.

 “For once, I agree.” He sniffed haughtily, before circling around to the farthest side possible.

Snippet from my Drinny Fall Fest 2024 fic.

Malfoy gasps, a hand clasping at his chest, a posture that looks awfully endearing in his massive frame. “I do not snort, Ginny.”

“Aha! You can say my name correctly.”

“I never said I couldn’t.”

“So you just like being difficult.”

Malfoy takes a step into Ginny’s space. The air around her shifts, and she finds herself shrouded in a rich, smoky aroma of sandalwood and vetiver that has the outer edges of her mind fading into haze.

“I can be easy, if you like,” he says, his voice sounding so much like it did when he'd laughed – low with a rich timbre that sends a shiver down Ginny's spine – “but something tells me you'd find that entirely too boring.”

That's right, babes! Submissions are due TOMORROW at 11:59PM PST (Pacific)

REMEMBER: You only need to submit 1000 words MINIMUM and if you end up having a multi-chaptered work, you only need to submit the first chapter by the due date.

Should you need an extension, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or @escapeinmybookshelf as we want to ensure that those who claimed a prompt have the opportunity to submit it for the fest!
