how the gang sleeps headcannons let’s go!

Johnny: can literally fall asleep anywhere. Light sleeper, but falls asleep really fast most of the time

Dallas: sleeps fully clothed outta laziness half the time- i mean in the scene at Buck’s he was literally wearing jeans for some fucking reason. Often has his head under a pillow ‘cuz there’s always loud music playing. He also probably doesn’t know that you’re supposed to change your sheets.

Two-Bit: Does know you’re supposed to change sheets, but still doesn’t change them. Moves a lot and sometimes wakes up upside down in the morning.

Steve: hugs a pillow cuz he’s touch starved asf. Runs warm and hates using a blanket because it’s sweaty, but also hates not using a blanket because it’s cold, so he’s gotta do that “one leg under one leg over” thing

Darry: takes forever to fall asleep, but once he’s asleep, he’s practically knocked out. often has to sleep through the gang’s chaos, so this is pretty useful

Sodapop: either hates sleeping or loves it with no in between, like a kid who whines about bed time but then sleeps in till noon. walks around wrapped up in a blanket on winter mornings while procrastinating on getting dressed (ADHD’ll do that). Sometimes hauls himself outta bed only to fall asleep again curled up on the floor on the way to his closet.

Ponyboy: Sometimes wakes up with Soda’s limbs pinning him down which is annoying. Probably has a bit of insomnia, and obviously struggles with nightmares. Has sleep-talked before and it always jumpscares Soda

Neither of them are annoyed or pissed off they literally just look like that. Resting bitch faces that could kill the elderly. Curly is probably thinking of the best excuse he can to not do his English homework and idk ponyboy is thinking about a weird tree he saw walking home

keep ai out of fanfiction!!! that shit gets on my nerves so bad. why are we working so hard to replace everything that humans have made??? every story, drawing, song, etc. comes from thousands of years of human experience and work and that ai bullshit rips all of the actual substance out of writing. the great thing about writing is that you are allowed to make mistakes!! you don’t need ai to write for you, you need to do it yourself and learn from your mistakes. i’d take a poorly written fanfiction written by someone who actually is a fan of what they’re writing about than anything written by ai any day.

I’ve talked about this before but I still love it: retirement home au

Everyone is still alive and they’re all in the same retirement home (socs too, even if they might be sent to a bougier one irl)

They all still have beef, they still fight (even if the nurses break it up every time), but with the added bonus of visiting children and grandchildren, fragile bones, and extremely exhausted carers

Also!

Has children and grandchildren- Dallas, twobit, Sodapop, Marcia, Paul, Angela, and Randy

Just has children- Tim, pony, Darry, Bob, cherry, Bryon, and Steve

No children- Johnny, curly, and mark

Extra-

Marcia and twobit got married later in life after their respective divorces (Marcia was married once before, twobit twice before. They both had kids from their previous marriages and then had more kids together, so they have like five million grandchildren)

Dallas has only accidentally children. He didn’t want any of them but their mothers left the kids with him. His daughter has cut contact but lets her kids visit him. His sons see him more favorably. He was a shit father but a fun grandfather because he encourages his grandkids towards trouble and lets them get away with stuff

Pony is an author and he’s still writing stuff
