Societal "progress" is not something that happens automatically. Women had to/still have to FIGHT for their rights. We have come far in the last 160 years. Queer peoole had to/still have to FIGHT for their rights. We have come far in the last 100 years. Black people had to/still have to FIGHT for their rights. We have come far in the last 250 years. Workers had to/still have to FIGHT for their rights. We have come far in the last 180 years. Disabled people had to/still have to FIGHT for their rights. We have come far.

We have come far, but the goal still hasn't been reached either.

Every generation has to carry on the work that has been done by the previous one, and push the flag further.

If we don't, our oppressors come back and put it back at the beginning and we'd have to start all over again. Don't let them destroy the work we and our forebearers have done so far.

That's why we all have to fight against being split up too. Because alone, we are weak.

United, we stand strong.

Worker, Freemason, Jewish, Black, Disabled, Queer, Women, Catholic, Muslim, ANY Marginalized Identity, we need to reach out our hands to our bethren and stand against those that try to split us up.

Because those that try to split us up, do so because they have no good intentions toward us.

The fact that this is 80 fucking years ago but still just as relevant is terrifying.
