I think it's canon that Victor did know of Yuuri before The Banquet, so what if we get his first realisation of Yuuri's existence in Ice Ado? Him watching Yuuri skate a junior Worlds, or running into him at a qualifying event a few years before Yuuri qualified for the GPF
