MH: Celebrities [UPDATED] Part 1

It's been ages since I last posted something on this side blog, but I plan on doing a small refresh on character references later on (and continue the story by how Volume 2 goes down in the AU).

For now, I got a new list of confirmed celebrities in the MH World. Some are already existing in g1 and g3, and some are made up! This series is dedicated to any/all celebrities in the MH World that are parodies of real-life celebrities, so you won't find Casta Fierce or Catty Noir here. Also, I'm gonna avoid using celebs that are confirmed to be problematic (looking at you, Sharon Needles).

I'm super sore and tired from surgery so I've really just been laying around the house since then. On another note, I took out my dread extensions and started actually dreading my hair. Well. Rather, the dreaded themselves cos i just havent touched em 🤷 which works out fine Considering future hair plans.

A dreaddy with a loin cloth is the best thing ive seen today.

Apologies for the shitty flash photos, but I'm actually making progress on my brutalis dreadnought. Still needs a matte varnish spray before working on targeted glosses and weathering/paint chipping, plus the whole base is barely at base layers, but the bulk of it has come together well enough. Especially for how crummy my initial prime was. There are still some areas with too much detail clogged by spraying from too close, but hopefully I can hide the worst of that with paint.

So yesterday whilst I was out and about doing all those adulty things I did, I was also dressed ultra queerly in comparison with the normal “don’t give a shit about my appearance” theme that I usually rock... and the weirdest part of it all, was that I felt FAR LESS hostility or ogling eyes than I ever did when presenting as female. I went to an employment meeting dressed this way, and I got zero judgment; I walked through downtown and had people move out of my way, grab doors for me, and not many of them seemed to observe me as “THAT’S A CHICK”. It was immensely freeing and the very weirdest part was, walking across the street to continue on my way, 4 men walking together stopped on the sidewalk... my first thought, having lived as a female human for most of my life, was, “Oh shit oh shit I shouldn’t have crossed yet, oh god now what..” they stopped and then GOT OUT OF MY WAY so I could keep walking. No leering, no catcalls, no acknowledgment outside of “there is a human walking and we are not we should move now”.

It was a totally new experience for me, not feeling undressed with others’ eyes, being.. vaguely respected as a human but also, “That person is definitely queer leave them alone” was a high running vibe for the day. Not at all my expectation of the potential experience from reading internet info. All it’s done is encourage me to dress like I wanna dress, which as I said before, is incredibly freeing. I know it’s not gonna be amazing every time; I’m not naive. But I feel like we’re gaining traction in receiving better treatment from the general populace.

To top off this feeling of amazement... Lane and I watched Hannah Gadsby’s “Nanette” last night so there was that punch in the face I was expecting. Holy shit. I was crying so hard by the end of it...

I love it but it's no slayer, like the best case scenario is fighting in the rain cuz it's a cherry tap set-up similar to the dreaddy. I love the weapon but if there's a dualy then it's impossible to do anything.

I like how it feels to combo with the angle shooter, and getting directs is very cool. when it works, dueling is neat because the shield fwumps out really quick, so you can easily block shots and sneak in a shot or two.

thats about all i can say for it. it feels pretty non existent. as in i feel non existent.

its extremely aim heavy. which i dont think is a bad idea, but unfortunately, if you dont Aim Good its pretty useless imo. im always a fan of angle shooter, but after maybe 50+ games of marking everybody constantly, people dont really follow up on your shots, which leaves it up to you to get in to do things. but this thing can Not get in to do things. if you attract the attention of more than one person, youre basically toast. its so easy to get dived because your shot spread is tiny, the shield is weak and if youre dying in a fraction of a second, that low recharge time for the shield doesnt help.

i didnt find that shooting the shield out helped much. I tried shooting it out and kiting around it to play off its presence and see if people peeked, but it just gets shredded so fast, its difficult to do do anythign with that. maybe it can be used similar to a curling bomb? but, its scary getting close to anyone with this weapon because of the low shot spread. it fires decently fast, but every shooter has a faster kill time than the brellas p much, this one included.

ive tried playig aggro, playing scared, midlining, but most of my games have been pretty frustrating and i dont feel like i can get much done. I thought maybe playing a defensive midline would be good? but if your team falls apart (which... hoo boy. I love hearing Ouch! btw.) and its overtime and youre the last one up.. get ready to lose.

idk, maybe im just bad with this thing, but I feel like I can do way more with something like the aerospray. this thing just cannot paint. hhaahghghhhhgghghghghgh.

really just disappointing, was looking forward to this weapon.

Beanie for dreadlocks with opening at the back ... This is attempt number many trying to make hat for my friend which was commissioned by beautiful Kenny and I still made it too small for him. I'm sure I'll get there soon, I'm very happy with shape and how it feels. AJ totally bought it from me after trying it on, fits dreadies so well 😍 Learning to do something specific can bring so many wonderful effects, each hat I made as an attempt is very beautiful and unique. From the Journal of Strange Tales & Other Odd Scribblings by Poet and Scribe T'lislee Huwehsa, comes a brief snippet from Agra Jagger upon his origin:

I've had many names and been many races, but today I'm going to tell you how it all began.

I was once known as Agra Jagger.

I began my life as a humble street urchin, trying my best to scratch out a living in the streets of Emon. I couldn't believe my luck when the kid with dark hair and golden eyes offered me a new life with an organization that was even more powerful and influential than the clasp. Yeah... to good to be true.

Next thing I know I'm a slave to the Dread Emperor. This guy is so powerful he even has the Sovereign Tal'Dorei's son in his possession! So yeah I figure this is my life now, until this group of adventurers show up on the Dread Emperor's door step. My first impression of this group called "Vox... somethingima" wasn't really much, to be honest. They start their attack, and the Dread Emperor does his chain trick with me and some of the other kids, basically: "Uncle Dreaddy" takes the hits, and we kids take the damage... literally a pain in the backside all around.

Anyway, I figured if make it through this. Dreaddy wins, Vox Machina dies, and we kids that got stuck on chain gang duty get some perks for assisting for the win. So by design I'm not really rooting for the away team... this, motley crew of nerdy-azz Vox actors. But then it hit me.. one of the party members - a weird half-elf lady, with get this: Antlers! She had antlers on her head. Her name was Keyleth. A name I shall never forget. This Keyleth actually wanted to save me. Me! A poor lowly street urchin. Not Gren Tal'Dorei, not any of the other kids from vastly more effluent backgrounds, but lil' ol' me.

"These adventurers are the real deal, they are real heroes!" I say to myself, as my savior - the beautiful half-elf lady with the pretty antlers reaches out with this magical thorny vine thing, and starts to rescue me from my predicaments. Yeah the thorns stung a little, but I've got worse from Uncle Dreaddy for just breathing to loud. This is nothing! Then I realize that she's just trying to yank me away from my old boss as if I were a purse of coins. I try to tell her that she needs to release the shackle from my neck first, but the constant yanking has cut off my wind pipe, and now I'm just trying to get air... and strongly thinking of switching my allegiance back to Old Dreads. I keep saying between grasps "Hey! Urgh stop! Gasp! Please d-don't my neck..." and "SNAP!" There goes my neck. My dying words are only but a thought in my fading mind "Thanks antler-lady. Thanks a bunch..."

But that was not the end. My mind traveled through shadow and light, silence and cacophony, and even time and space. I was reborn in the from of a simple troll. I was now known as "Agrajag" and I was living a fine if simple life.

That is until I happened upon this troupe of travelers. "Is that? By the gods! Yes!! It is THE Vox Machina!" I think to myself in my simple troll mind. I figure "I'm living okay now, I'm free at least, and any day above ground and all that. She really had the best intentions. How could she know my neck would break so easily? She actually did end up saving me? I'm not bound to the Dread Emperor anymore. Oh heck Agrajag! Let bygones be bygones." and with this feeling of forgiveness in my heart and a spring in my step I decide to scamper over to Keyleth, and give her a big ol' troll hug and thank her. To which she decides to turn into some kind of rock monster and shove my troll-azz off a cliff!

"Thanks antler-lady!"

Anyway, I've been yammering on here for awhile now. To make the long story short..

(Altogether:) "TOO LATE!"

I've lived a multitude of many lives. Some good, some bad... but ALL of them end, either directly or even indirectly whenever I come across that darn antler-lady! By my reckoning... it's somewhere around 116 times now.
