This is how the finished portrait turned out. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. I definitely feel that where I’m at currently my drawings look better than my paintings, but I’m trying to work on that. I have a theory that most people see the world in either line or color, and because of that either painting or drawing will come more easily to them. I’m definitely the kind of person who sees line before color/shape. I’ve been trying to notice patterns of light more lately, and be more free and bold with my use of color.
