Semiotics in Advertising - Experimenting with Drawing styles

Adverts speak to us in a way we cannot always see straight away. Images are curated to appeal to men or women and many have sexualised undertones that speak to the consumer

Experimenting with my own drawing styles…

Draw what you see. Literally look at a scene and draw what it tells you.

What is important? Dark and light? – Contrast!

Colour?

Sensuality?

Mood?
