Drawgust day 2 and 3 spoils. Not thoroughly satisfied with any of the likenesses, but I will cackle forever at my wife’s initial response of “those aren’t your best” because she somehow thought the first two were supposed to be Liv Hewson and couldn’t find the resemblance.

Drawgust day 28: Crain family studies from @flanaganfilm’s Haunting of Hill House

Shirley put me in my place. Theo was a blast.#luke made me sad. Nell kicked me five ways to Sunday. and Liv was a heartbreaking finale#drawing these felt very much like watching the show in its own way and I’m quite pleased with the turnout

Drawgust day 21: hey, did you know drawing kissing is hard?
#my art#drawgust 2024#taivan#today was not my finest sketchbook hour but I wound up kinda digging this little thing#it came on the heels of three failed portrait attempts and a bunch of rapid-fire nose studies#so the face that I like it at all is pretty good#did operate under two bits of advice I found on graphite pencil work#1) swap the reference into grayscale#2) draw what you see and not what you THINK you see#I’m learning. biiiit by bit#perhaps tomorrow will be a cleaner approach#*fact that I like it Jesus Christ Siri stop helping me
