Mais can you recommend some underrated solid romance driven Pak shows? I've watch most of the mainstream ones. TIA! Also I'm already watching yunhi in case you were gonna rec that.

ek toh "romance driven" already narrows down the field SO much which is necessarily not a good thing for me cuz i haven't watched a lot of Pakistani dramas to begin with. also I feel like nowadays the definition of "romance" has changed. it's a fairly new wave of dramas that actually show the physical intimacy aspect of romance in PakDramas. otherwise the older PakDramas wouldn't necessarily have such things (and the ones they did unn pe Pemra ban laga deta tha xD). ab toh if anyone says "romance drama" toh I immediately think they are asking for something like Tere Bin which...bhayee aisa yahan aur koi product nahin hai.

The Great Thai Communal Wardrobe Advent Giveaway!

I've currently collected/documented 45 items of clothing (and accessories) that have reappeared in various Thai series over the past four years - these are only the ones that have been discovered, I'm sure there are more.

These 45 items are spread over 38 shows and are worn by 78 different characters (mains, sides, and random extras).

At the most, one item has been worn by 8 different people in 6 series, several have been used 3-5 times, but the majority have only appeared in two different shows (so far!).

There has been one recent show which has featured 15 items of clothing which have been worn in other series! The next highest number is 11 in a show which aired last year. And then the 3rd and 4th spot go to a show from two years ago (with 10 items) and one from this year (with 6).

I have currently ordered all the items by the number of times used and then by air date (with the highest and earliest first), but once I start posting them I will add any new discoveries to the end of the list (from 46 onwards).

And I'd like your involvement to post them!

Between now and Nov 15th send me an ask or a DM with one of the following requests to either have the item dedicated to yourself or you can gift it to another blog. (Anon is also fine but I'd suggest using an obscure emoji so you can identify yourself).

You can request:

A random number in the list (1-45)

The name of a particular show

A specific character or actor

Something funny or stylish or that I think you might like

A specific item (if you have a pretty confident idea of one that exists)

And a specific date you would like your post published if you have one (I'm mainly trying to decide what order to publish them all in)

A point to note: I've already published number 3 and number 6 (although the latter is now wrongly-numbered 😥 so I might consider editing the original post...again).

My plan is to post two a day from Dec 1st in the run up to Christmas, like an advent calendar, so I've set the deadline for requests early enough to give me time to organise the posts (since work does get in the way sometimes).

10 QL people I want carnally aesthetically

@nuwildcat thank you for tagging me! As a fellow ace, I'm going to copy the aesthetically part of this list, because wanting carnally is really not my thing.

1. Tay - Kinnporsche

He is the definition of gender envy. No one wins him in aesthetics, he has them all. I want him and I want to be him, but I will settle by being able to raid his closet.

2. Porsche - Kinnporsche

That gold skin, that itty-bitty waist, and those smiles. Aesthetically, him and his high waist trousers have won me over, and the suits by the end of the show are just *chef's kiss*. He's the best, and I love him, and since I don't think we'll get more of him, I'll just keep drawing him.

3. Kinn - Kinnporsche

Look at those long fingers. Look at them. And at his effortlessly casual dominance in everything he does (until he meets Porsche, and all that ice melts). I just love him. Also, what's better than a big sad boy? A big sad boy with huge tits, and Kinn has those to spare.

4. Vegas - Kinnporsche

Vegas bewitched me. He's such a pathetic, soggy mess, but then when you least expect it he whips out his murder raincoat and looks even cute with blood all over. I also want to raid his closet, and steal all his oversized witchy shirts (except for the velvet ones, he can keep those)

5. Choi Yu Na - Semantic error

She's everything. Yet another character I want to steal clothes from. Shes just so cool and so perfect, and I want to have a spin-off of centered on her.

6. Kurosawa - Cherry magic

Kurosawa is just so dear to me. He tries so hard to be this perfect cool guy, when he is the dorkiest person on earth, and somehow still manages the whole gentlemanly thing all together. I can't get over how he wrote a whole CV to meet Adachi's parents, and I love the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles.

7. Togawa - Old fashioned cupcake

Look at this boy eat! I love love love people who enjoy their food, and Togawa's hamster cheeks are the cutest of them all. He gets extra points for how he proposes in the special episode.

8. Nozue - Old fashioned cupcake

Those little three piece suits he wears look so nice on him. He's so babygirl too, batting his eyelashes at Togawa without realising his feelings at all. He's another case of the eternal dilemma of whether I want him or I want to be him.

9. Ai Di - Kiseki: Dear to me

Is half of this list characters whose clothes I want? Perhaps. But look at the kind of sweaters Ai Di wears all throughout the series, can you blame me? That and his chokers, and his hair.... He's also the best friend ever to Bai Zongyi, and he and Chen Yi stole the whole show for themselves.

10. Jack - HIStory3: Trapped

Just that smile (and maybe his boobs too just a little bit). He would come onscreen, smile like that, and I would miss half of what was happening from how much it distracted me.

Special mention. Fujisaki - Cherry Magic

Fujisaki is just so dear to me, she's one of the first explicitly ace characters I ever seen in a show. I read the manga for Cherry Magic, and while she's hilarious there, I'm so glad they gave us this version of her in the show.

10. Bodyguard

I think my favorite for this is still Where Your Eyes Linger. I like it when there's mutual devotion between them and the bodyguard won't do anything about it because they respect the line. It's the closest we ever really come to doing class difference stuff earnestly. Big fan of Han Gi Chan's perpetually exhausted eyes in these shows, too.

15. Love Triangle

It feels maybe a bit cliché to choose Light On Me, but it really is the only time I've ever enjoyed this trope or thought it felt real.

What makes this particular love triangle work is that no one is trying to harm anyone, and everyone is aware of it. In fact, the romantic rivals actively try to help each other and avoid fights the entire time. I also love it because Woo Tae Kyung is not passive about the drama unfolding around him, and actively pushes both guys to step up and be present for him. It's an excellent show about how being honest about who you are and your affections strengthens all relationships involved.

Okay, this manhwa is cute. The art is pretty nice and you easily fall in love with the characters, the art development is awesome and at the end is like woah.

The story is quite interesting, all the online and offline relationship is cute and the way they development feelings for each other is cute and lovely. The season one is interesting and its involves all the love process between Jaehyun and Eunsung. If I'm being honest the 1st season is like a k-drama but i liked, the tragic past, the trauma and the drama is pretty good (aLTHOUGH I DIDNT LIKE THE "LOVE TRIANGLE" poor Jae and fuck Jungwoo)

The second season is concentrated on the game and adult life. I really liked this season (I'm not a game person so the plot of the game itself was like huh. but i like that the game has connected the protagonist) All the romantic stuff is cute, obviously you want more and more.

I like that Jae doesn't know what to do with his life, he just go with the flow but decide to be better and dedicate himself to what he is passionate about. I would have liked to see more about Eunsung's past and more of Jae and Eunsung after the 2 years. I really like how the second season is quite realistic, Eunsung wanting to suport Jae but having problems, Jae dealing with his trauma, all the work stuff and the personal growth of the characters. The final is symbolic and cute! And the manhwa is easy to read!

Well then!

So I watch quite a few Korean dramas, but I hate having to wait for episodes, so I normally wait until they are all out before I begin one. However my sister sent me a link to an article about a show called ‘Hell is Other People’ and about how they had to reassure the public that no one was actually harmed during the making of the show. We discussed it and decided that we would check it out. As of now, there are only 4 episodes released and we just sat and watched all 4 back to back. This show is a psychological nightmare! I mostly checked it out because of Lee Dong Wook but I think I’m going to be anticipating these next 6 episodes!

The show is based off of a webtoon by Kim Yongkhi, which I haven’t read btw. I heard that its loosely based because the character that LDW plays is an original character made by writer Jung Lee Do.

My impression so far of the show is total confusion. That doesn’t mean the show isn’t good, because it is, but that it’s interesting. It has me on the edge of my seat wondering what exactly is going to happen next. It is a little gory but nothing to bad. I have sooo many theorys and I might make more posts about this show in the next few days. All I can say right now is come on Saturday!

Hi Mais so I was initially very interested in tere bin mainly cuz I find this whole haveli meets city plot super interesting...do you have any drama recs with this concept? Preferably with maybe someone like Maya in it?

the only Maya show I can think of matching this concept is Diyar e Dil. i have read that Malaal-e-Yaar is a show that had the same-ish tropes as TB with the bad boy feudal lord marrying a strongminded city girl. it was quite a success too when it was on air.

weighlifting fairy is a really sweet drama, is going to heal your soul after moon lovers. Hwarang is probably going to destroy you again, but the cast is amazing so it's worth it. I would start with weighlifting fairy and then watch hwarang when they release more episodes :)
