"A custom leather apron is a tool that you will use on every project." Patrick Melchior.   A leather apron provides protection and is comfortable to wear.  We use a crisscross adjustable system so it fits over anything you wear for cold/warm temperatures in your shop. Think about your most used tools, the ones you keep setting down, spend time looking for and have possibly dropped because of size. Those are the items with a home spot on your apron. They will always be safe, and at your fingertips...saving you time because you know where they are.  Some examples would be woodshop, salon, barista, jewelers and tattoo artist. We begin with 3-4 oz. full grain leather. This apron has a tape measure clip, a D- ring on right hip for a wet rag for glue-ups, a pocket for a 6" square, marking knife and multi-color pencils in reach. A hand pocket on the left or right side.  All hardware, clips, D-rings and adjustable buckles are made of 316 stainless steel.  The hem is rolled for durability and structure.  The 20 to 40 plus solid copper or brass rivets are hand peened. Polyester thread is use for its durability and strength, 5 stitches per inch. Strap anchor points are double reinforced, stitched and riveted.  The item to be placed on the apron are place by you.  If you are in the local area, we can arrange for a fitting.  If you live further, we will mail you a canvas template apron and arrange a video conference so we can help you place and discuss your apron. So when your wife asks you to make some purse display stands before her next art show... and you say yes before you realize that you only have about three hours to spare before the next show. Normally i like to draw, maybe use sketchup, build a prototype for scale... all that went out the window i start with the Prototype out of plywood showed it to Michelle and from there she resize the base.... little smaller and made the stand a little 2 in shorter . I made a template and used my circle cutting jig for the bandsaw. I should of drilled the holes for the aluminum rod before i cut the curve. I Attached the strand to the base with screw screw inserts. That way we can break them down for transport. I still have some final sanding before finish. This lumber is wider than my 6" jointer so in order to get one side flat so I can send it through the planer, I have to go old school on this board. A jointer flattens one face and one side. Cutting the splines in the 10 serving trays my client ordered for his employees. What a nice Guy. I used the Woodworking Utilities app from the play store. It has all kinds of features, board foot calculator decimal to fraction, trammel calc, pilot hole guide, dovetail jig calc and spacing calc.
