Funnily enough, it still makes sense that he doesn't know how to cross the street despite the fact, because:

He has never lived in the city before.

He's always with adults when they go to the city (unless he's flying with ki to get there).

Knowing how to cross the street is not a requirement in driving aircrafts or in fighting world-ending threats.

He can literally fly. What would he need street signs for?!

Which then got me asking, WHY does he need to drive an aircraft?!

Broly having survived Goku's finishing blow, escaped the planet before it exploded and eventually made his way to Earth.

Yamcha (who has become a celebrity chef) witnesses part of his restaurant damaged by Broly's space pod when it crashes there. Yamcha helps and befriends Broly (who cannot recall his past besides his name), who becomes his unofficial bodyguard.

Yamcha's kindness in giving Broly enough food to satisfy his Saiyan appetite, made Broly protective of him, especially over anyone who calls Yamcha 'weak'.

(my) Vegeta no longer bullies Yamcha whenever they meet to not cause one of Broly's rampages that could destroy the Earth.

(my) Goten was forced to change his hairstyle to avoid triggering Broly over 'Kakarot'.

Eventually, this leads to a wish with the dragonballs that Broly stays sane and not a danger to the Earth/universe. // replacing the wish made in his second movie
