More Emmrich is Rook's Dad AU stuff.

Emmrich over packing for Rook when they're forced to travel with Varric in the same way he tried to over pack on his little camping trip with Harding but like a million times worse because he doesn't know how long his baby is going to be away from the comforts of the Necropolis. Rook's trying to slim down on how much stuff to bring but Emmrich and Manfred are determined for Rook to have everything they might need while chasing down the Dread Wolf. Rook also ends up finding the most random things tucked away in their pack because Manfred decided that Rook needed to have two cool looking pebbles and a piece of string with them just in case.

Also Rook talking to the rest of the Veilguard about their brother Manfred all the time and how much they miss him only for the team to meet Manfred and be super confused

Neve: So this is your brother?

Rook: Yes.

Harding: He's a skeleton

Rook: Technically, he's a spirit of Curiosity currently inhabiting a skeleton, but yes he is a skeleton if you're feel the need to be reductive.

Neve: And this spirit is your brother?

Rook: Yes. I really don't see what about this situation is so confusing to all of you.

If you're new to the Dragon Age games or if you just want to play the first game again but don't have it, good news: Dragon Age Origins - Ultimate Edition is $4.99 US on GOG. Even better, it's part of their "Good Old Game Preservation Program," which means they've put significant effort into making sure it still runs on modern PCs. I've been able to run it smoothly on my laptop as-is, and with mods as long as I'm using the 4GB patch. The game does absolutely look 15 years old, and fans are incredibly mixed on the combat, but the story and companions are worth it. And once you buy it on GOG, you own it and can save the installers. No app download, site login, or internet connection required.

Saving Minrathous bcs I remebered that there is some big bad under city and if it gets blighted it will bite me in the ass....

Overthinking my Rooks class...I always play as mage...but now I thought it would be epic if two of mage that hyped themself to godhood would be defeted by nonmage...

Giving Bioware/EA benefit of doubt about the world state..I really really thought we could pick 3 at begining and than nuanced it in dialog...

Thinking I could talk to my companions and having found family...and companions in general are good...like concept of them but delivery is not good

It pains me that we waited for 10 years for this...like it has potencial
