hello fellow Wardens/ Hawkes/ Inquisitors/ Rooks ☺️

like it says in my bio, I created this blog to get all my thoughts out about DAV! I’m sure I’ll occasionally get into the other games for sure, but I’m mainly focused on Veilguard (definitely NOT because I’ve already almost completed 3 playthroughs).

I have some headcannons and fics based around 2 of my Rooks and the Lucanis / Emmrich romance storylines.

A little intro— while keeping my anonymity, of course— I am a 25 year old girl (she/her) and I’m a lover of all things video games. I’m a certified yapper™️ so feel free to hop in my asks and let’s talk!! I haven’t had a fan account for anything since my one direction blog in middle school, so although none of this is new to me, it’s been a while. I’m super excited!

Its a cool idea but don't think Vivienne would care enough about the Inquisitor or Dorian to do that. She has no reason to stick around after the game ends

that post was actually specifically based on this dialogue from the trespasser dlc, where we see vivienne clearly showing concern for the inquisitor and at the very least a willingness to work together with dorian to help them! and i'd have to very firmly disagree on the idea that vivienne doesn't care about dorian or the inquisitor. like. very firmly, lol.

Emmrich jewelry:

Number of rings: 12-15

7 on right hand, all plain gold bands

5-8 on left hand, depending on if the ones on the thumb and ring finger count as one large ring or stacks of smaller rings

The only finger without a ring is the index finger of the right hand. Speculation, but as someone who wears a lot of rings, this is also a finger I usually skip because it makes holding a pen and writing very uncomfortable, which I imagine would be a factor for an academic.

Number of bracelets: 17, plus chains

11 on left arm, with two attached by a chain

6 on right arm

There is also a chain connecting one ring to a bracelet

Number of chains on his outfit: 5-6ish, not including the bracelet/ring ones

Depends on if you count the chain attached to the collar pin as one or two chains

All chains have hexagonal links

Endgame outfit:

The hero outfit he gets if you keep him as a living man loses all jewelry (though there's still a lot of gold). The lich outfit retains all rings and bracelets, AND gets a crown, with a few differences:

His left ring finger changes from three gold bands to gold-green-gold

The chain connected to the bracelets gains new symbols on previously blank discs

These symbols are repeated on the necklace(?)/collar chain thing(?) he gains

Conclusion: this man jingles so much with every step

the veilguard codex entries are truly such a fucked up collectible. this whole time i thought i was the one who fucked up when i still only had 80 something percent by the end of the game, but no. the game is just fully counting impossible to collect cut content in that percentage.

I find it sort of hilarious in-universe how Rook and Lucanis's relationship becomes acknowledged by the party after the dessert scene. Everyone basically watches Lucanis serve Rook their favourite drink and dessert and then immediately goes, Oh, so they are a thing now. No questions asked.
