gheyo knights in a circle?
Only in a full Military circle and only if their ranks were already settled. Knight, is a rank, but it’s a base rank with no specialty. It’s expected to evolve to another rank and settle there.
Knights are usually the lower grade of hired help for Gheyos-for-hire, because they are more extra hands and muscle than a specialist. Usually, they look for work to find out what kind of circle suits their needs and to check for Suite compatibility.
Thanks for the ask!

Contradictory Impossibilities

Harry and his Circle were having a nice relaxing evening at home when out of nowhere, two of their kids (they were adults, well versed and set in their dynamics, but they'd always be Harry's kids) were snatched away in a Soul Scream.
It's from a tiny little speck on the Earth map called Beacon Hills, California.
The Submissive in distress? None other than one Stiles Stilinski, resident trouble-magnet and pain-in-the-ass, who'd had his inheritance suppressed until enough trauma and sheer need and pain had shattered the seals he was under.
And unleashed something inside of him that was never meant to see the light of day.
Or the love of a Circle of his very own.

Can you just tell us everything about Phoelix please? I want to make sure I'm understanding then correctly.
Everything? I'm not sure I can do everything, mostly because there's some things I'm still trying to work out. I can provide some of the more settled details I've written for them though. It's a bit of a disorganized mess right now though, since I'm still transferring notes between writing platforms.
Phoelix, like dragels, are the elemental-humanoid phoenix hybrids. However, whereas the Ministry of Magic believes dragels to be extinct and creatures of legend, Phoelix are considered to be completely mythological. Not much is known about them, and what is known mostly relates to Fire Phoelix, because their counterparts—Fire Phoenixes—are so showy and distinctive.
Phoelix have four forms—two bird forms, one humanoid winged form, and one human form. The two bird forms differ only in size—one is the size of an eagle, while the other is the size of a thunderbird. Each Phoelix has a personal song that can be used to identify them when they are in bird form.
Usually Phoelix are born as single children—though twins have been known to occur occasionally—and they leave their parents as soon as they are able to survive independently. When twins do occur, they are usually fraternal twins. While very loyal to each other by the nature of their twin status, they do not have a traditional strong twin bond, which often leads to a love-hate relationship between the two.
Much like Torvaks and Dragels, Phoelix and Naga do not get along. The feud between the two types of creatures has gone on for several millennia and has created an instinct for Phoelix to either kill a serpent when they come across it, or to leave the area until the serpent has been removed or has left.
Phoelix tend to be very independent and don’t take to authority figures well. Because of their innate need for independence, they tend to be very private and hate asking for help with anything, which can cause friction with their personal relationships. However, their independence doesn’t necessarily affect their romantic life, as many Phoelix are willing to have multiple partners. Because of their innate independence, most Phoelix will bond/swear to only one in a dragel Circle at first. However, as the years pass, they’ll bond to others as they grow more accustomed to them and to the Circle dynamics.
Because of their private nature, they also come off as aloof and cold to others. They are also perceived as being touchy and easily offended. When it comes to subjects they don’t want to talk about or that they are uncomfortable with, they’ll often prefer to not say anything at all; this relates to the claim that it is impossible for a person to tell a lie if a phoenix is nearby.
Most Phoelix prefer to eat higher quality foods or organic items and many are inordinately fond of cinnamon and cinnamon-flavored things. They have a knack for finding valuable items and some can have hoarding tendencies, especially when it comes to their preferred item.
Feathers
Phoelix are very protective of and loyal to the individuals who carry one of their feathers. They also tend to be fairly territorial, so it’s unheard of someone who carries the feathers of two different Phoelix; however, since phoenixes prefer to bond with Phoelix whenever they have such an opportunity, someone can carry both a Phoelix feather and a phoenix feather. Both phoenixes and Phoelix are very particular about their feathers; they don’t allow just anyone to carry them, and they will always prefer someone who carries one over someone who does not. There is no “just because” when it comes to phoenixes and their feathers; there is always a meaning behind gifting a feather.
A Phoelix can find the one who carries one of their feathers at any time, in any place, even into Death’s Realm. By destroying a feather, the individual who carries it can instantaneously summon their Phoelix partner/guardian. They can also use their feathers to protect and guide whoever carries it from afar, if they cannot be present at that moment. Their magic dilutes when numerous individuals carry a specific Phoelix’s feather, so they guard and protect their feathers carefully, to make sure one doesn’t accidentally fall into a stranger’s hands.
In their humanoid forms, their feathers are hidden underneath their hair and unless they are molting, can only be pulled out by the Phoelix themselves. Their feathers tend to have iridescent or metallic hues; the color depends on whether they are going through a breeding period or not. Their breeding plumage tends to be reflective of their elements—Fire have reds, oranges, and golds; Water have blues, greens, and purples; Air have whites, peaches, corals, and pastel blues; and Earth have browns, reds, yellows, golds. Non-breeding plumage tends to be more monotone—Fires are the only exception, sticking with their reds and golds. Water have white feathers; Air have whites and greys; and Earth have yellows. Water Phoelix feathers are waterproof.

why is soula´s circle so small and with no gheyo joker?
I don’t think I’ve actually said how many Bonded she has at the end of the story? 🤫 😏
Her circle is the way it is because it suits her best. 😉
But dragel circle sizes depend on the Submissive’s preference and needs to balance their magic. Some are perfectly happy with a triad and maybe one Pareya or Gheyo, while others have more magic and want more ranks or have a specific type of Circle.
Some just hunt slowly or very gradually over decades. Usually, once emotional and magical needs are being met, a dragel rushing for a full circle will stop and rethink that. Some of it is instin and other times, they are hyper aware of whether it’s good for them or their Bonded.
For example, like with Saera, she held together the Suite for Ryder even though she wasn’t bonded to him and it worked, for a little bit. A lot of dragels with family and friend connections might just hover around each other without ever needing to bond and helping to fill in gaps and stuff.
Thanks for the ask!

Do you have a character card for Ilsa?
I’m not sure? 😅 I don’t think I did chari cards for the Deveraines. I had some rough outline versions I’d posted on FFN in the forums and then those got tweaked later.
The original versions were handwritten in a pink zebra striped notebook that i currently cannot seem to find after my last move. 😭
Off the top of my head…She is the shortest Gheyo in the circle, has an Air affinity and two-toned hair. Tends to wear light armor over her Flexi-suit at all times. Has a titled blade that was earned upon confirmation of her Blood Title. Thomas is the only living parent of her bio parental triad. She is soulbonded to Greta and Aracle and crossbonded to Ithycar and Bahn.
Thanks for the question! 🥰

ferros dragels?
I think I answered this somewhere already but I can’t find the post. Oh well. 😅
Ferros dragels are those who have feral potential. Feral potential is a 5-to-25% increase of raw strength and magical power. It’s a temporary boost but has permanent side effects of toughening scales, and rapid healing. It gives heightened instincts that makes a dragel extremely possessive, protective, and territorial. It has to be triggered, often showing up during a fight and will usually turn the tide in their favor.
Bonded Ferros dragels tend to have their dragel attributes more obviously on display or they may just keep claws, fangs or scales visible at all times. They are quite physically affectionate—requiring extra hugs/cuddles/skin-to-skin contact and often need a routine schedule to keep healthily occupied and content.
Unbonded Ferros dragels can fall into madness much faster than a non-Ferros, as it forces them towards an instinctive edge where they have no one or nothing to protect and forces them further into their instincts. Because of their destructive power, they’re usually called in to use their powers to boost spells/Circles.
It looks like stretch marks on their dragon form, but these marks will glow the same color as their eyes/magic.
Even if they are born with Ferros potential, it isn’t something that is cultivated. But, a 1% Ferros may never even activate or show obviously in their lifetime. Having that doesn’t automatically mean a dragel is able to access or shift into that peak potential at will.
Ferros dragels require at least three Pareya in their Circles and tend to have a higher ratio of Gheyo Jokers because they like to spar.
Does that help?

So quick question if it’s okay. Does Harry only end up with three Pareyas? Because I’d love to see him with a fourth or even fifth Pareya, (maybe of the air element or even storm lol). I just feel he needs additional care and nurturing. Especially if he ends up with a full Gheyo suite.
Plus I’d love to see him getting some new elements into his circle. It feels very earth and fire heavy? (Well fire once the twins are added into the mix)
But I do love your story so this isn’t a criticism at all. Just curious
Totally fine to ask!! 😊 *prepares for wordy info dump*
At the moment, yes, Harry won’t have more Pareya than Ethan and the Twins. especially since he’s building so slowly with his Gheyos and because he’ll have other ranks. He will have other elements, it’ll just take some time.
Even though he probably won’t mind some short term smothering 😌, having more Pareya would start to mess with his instincts and sense of self. To me, Harry is an independent person who just needs some support. A little extra support even, and too much would start him on a worry loop where he might neglect himself because he’s worrying about them and then it circles into itself and gives everyone a headache.
Because Pareyas take care of each other in addition to their circle. Their Bonded balance this out so they don’t get stuck in loops of forgetting to take care of themselves as well. Just because they have Pareyic inclinations doesn’t mean they’re good at it at first. It’s something they learn and grow into other time. You might get a situation like Cora, who needs the support and closeness but is a little resentful of the smothering and leads to arguing and short tempers while a new balance is re-established in the circle. She loves and cares about them but is also fighting murderous urges bc she is definitely far from helpless and it was a dangerous accident that caused her to lose the baby.
Harry’s empathy would already amplify his Bonded’s ranks and intentions. A properly balanced Gheyo Suite will take care of themselves. They don’t like interference and will keep to themselves to some degree. They also balance out the more feral and physical urges between them so unless Harry goes looking for it or asking for it, they’ll take their cues from him. Hierarchies are very important to Gheyos and they will live and die by them. Harry is a fighter and will be alright with a Gheyo-heavy Circle, though I don’t plan on giving him all of those ranks at the moment.

Answer: yes. 😉
A Gheyo Princess will mimic them to some degree as they would fill in for them if there was no Queen rank.
I now have a plot bunny. 🙄😅😂
A snippet for the Deveraines turning out through someone else’s eyes—feat. Loren + the Suite.
Tumblr media
So yet more questions lol.
So you’ve said Gheyo queens are I guess flashy? So is there things that kinda indicate the other ranks of Gheyos?
Yep!! There’s a couple of ways.
Queens tend to be the bait/flashier fighter to draw attention so the King or Prince or whoever they are paired with can finish off the opponent.
They are typically the mostly refined/elegant gheyo rank as well and usually the one to aid in a full dress turnout. They serve as an advisor and confidante for the King or Prince. Usually the dressiest of the Suite and proud of it, regardless of element. Also the one that tends to show more skin/scale to draw attention to themselves to allow their Suite to operate smoothly in the background. They usually have two or three skills they can use for entertainment—dancing, target practice, music, etc.
An ACE can always recognize another ACE, even if they aren’t entirely sure what’s caught their attention at first. An ACE has a presence like an Alpha, but with a dangerous/feral edge, with power behind it. An Alpha has tempered power and is more of a subtler aura. They might have a titled blade.
Kings tend to have company. Either their suite or each other and usually can be seen and found by their easy demeanor with their fellow Gheyos. Like an ACE, they are almost always in a Flexi-Suit and are most likely to wear their marks openly. They might have a titled blade.
Jokers almost always have one or more scars that are visible and a weapon or two within easy reach. Their aura is always warning others off and has a feral edge to it. When Bonded into a suite or Circle, that aura becomes deceptively neutral to give them a defensive edge. A Bonded Joker won’t go far without their favored companion/bonded tending to use them as a gauge for their own reactions. They will have a titled weapon of some sort.
Trainees, pages and knights have a uniform they wear so they don’t pick fights that can kill them. Prince and Princess ranks tend to have an obvious piece of jewelry (usually earrings or some other piercing).
Does that help? 😊
