I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I know I have. But a lot of my fics in general are me just working out a thought process anyway and you can definitely see it. If you go back to my earlier ones, I was basically 100% up Michael's ass and I've thankful grown by working out scenerioes lol

modern au, karaoke party

Director Graves had, to the surprise of everyone, signed off on Karaoke-night for the Auror Department of MACUSA for the end-of-quarter bonding activity. Even more surprisingly, he had shown up in the middle of the Goldstein sisters’ rendition of ABBA’s Dancing Queen. He had gotten a drink at the bar and was chatting to a few of the Senior Aurors, when President Picquery went over to suggest he have a turn. There was a dangerous gleam in his eyes when he agreed, and honestly that should have been the first sign that he had something planned. He ordered a shot of tequila and took the stage. A hush fell over the room as he shrugged out of his suit jacket and loosened his collar and tie. He moved over to the machine to choose a song, then to the mic on center stage. After a brief intro he started singing.

“Well it's midnight, damn right, we're wound up too tight I've got a fist full of whiskey, the bottle just bit me Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh That shit makes me bat shit crazy We've got no fear, no doubt, all in balls out

We're going out tonight To kick out every light Take anything that we want Drink everything in sight We're going till the world stops turning While we burn it to the ground tonight Ooooohhhhhhh

We're screaming like demons, swinging from the ceiling I got a fist full of fifties, the tequila just hit me Ooooohhhhh We got no class, no taste, no shirt, and shit faced We got it lined up, shot down, firing back straight crown”

People were screaming at every swear word, Graves was stomping his boots as hard as he could on stage while people pounded on the tables to the beat. The Senior Aurors were singing along enthusiastically and doing shots during the breaks. One of the Junior Aurors got Graves another shot of tequila which he took in the middle of the song. It was truly a performance. President Picquery looked like she wanted to kill both Graves and herself, as she put her head in her hands and then knocked her forehead gently against her fist. Graves walked off the stage looking wildly satisfied with himself as the entire department gave him a standing ovation, including wolf whistles. He spread his arms, palms out and made eye contact with Picquery as he walked back to his seat at the bar. “Did you really forget my tribute band from Ilvermorny, Madame President?” he asked, still grinning triumphantly.

And yet the feelings are so strong you can see the journey he’s on, the way he falls deeper in love with Alex. This short but poignant fic is the kind of story that sticks with you, and we can’t recommend it enough.

The author doesn’t make the characters do anything over the top, but the twists in the story will still surprise and delight you. This work is ongoing, and we’re all very excited to see what happens next.

The author easily shares the progression of small acts of love and support Forrest does for Alex, all culminating in a big night out. The story is like a bite of comfort food, the best parts of what it means to be in a relationship, to be loved all put together, and we can’t get enough of it.

Creator’s Week Day 2 - Character

In all honesty, everything Alex-centric they write is fantastic and I definitely recommend just taking a stroll through their work, but I had to chose something so I chose this one. It’s a virtually dialogue-less overview of Alex’s life and his relationship with loss which is such a big part of who he is and this is just done so well.

This is probably one of my favorite character studies of all time, not even gonna lie. Maria is still a very un-explored character in canon and I feel like we still getting a grasp of who she is in the show, but this makes her feel more than fully realized. Just stunning.

Does it count as a character focused thing if it’s an AU? Doesn’t matter, I’m counting it anyway. This soulmate AU is heavy on the Alex learning what he deserves and going after what he wants which is always a good time. Also the plot? 10/10 your mind, thank you.

As they begin to work together solving a case Michael finds himself drawn to Alex, while also desperately trying to cover up his real identity.

Well fam, this is it. The final chapter to my X-Files AU. I worked months on it, and it’s by far the longest fic I’ve ever written. Band: not sure if this counts as a band, but I love the all-female string ensemble La Pietà. It’s fronted by Angèle Dubeau. My favorite album is Blanc, and all of the songs on the album were deemed songs of healing and peace by Dubeau as she was going through breast cancer. I find the album to be so powerful, and I listen to it a lot when I’m meditating or journaling or just want to feel calm. I actually gave birth to one of my children while it was playing.

Last Film: Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Wow. This movie was incredible. It’s a week later and I’m still thinking about it. Seeing a film like this, it really drives home how rare it is to see a film made from this perspective.

Last TV show: for adults, haha? What could it be but Roswell New Mexico???

Favorite Character: at the moment, Alex Manes. I actually didn’t realize it was him till episode 2x06, but that’s a whole other post, ha

Savory, sweet, or spicy: Savory. Umami all the way, ha. And chocolate.

Sparkling water, tea, or coffee: TEA. I love tea. I usually do a black tea (golden monkey) in the morning, green tea in the afternoon (I love a genmaicha), and an herbal tea (currently on a lavender chamomile kick) at night.
