the incredibly underrated thing about junko and makotos dynamic is that junko is actually the one who's obsessed with him and makoto is just like hey man whats up. like to junko makoto is the unknown factor the one true blindspot to her in a world she understands so well that reality is boring to her she is the ultimate despair the one who ended the world on a whim and he's the other half the ultimate hope the only force truly capable of matching her knowledge with his sheer luck they are destined rivals on every front she came back from the dead just to face him again she sacrificed the remnants of her organization just to face him one more time she is so in love with him that it disgusts her monokuma is literally a bear because makoto's favorite animal is a bear and she's associated with curry (and fucking makes it out of a guy) because makoto's favorite food is curry monokuma literally flirts with makoto like 4 times throughout the killing game in a world where the talented dictate society and she is far and above the rest the literal god trapped in a human body he is the painfully normal human opponent whose the only one capable of standing up to her and and

and like makoto's strongest reaction to finding out she orchestrated the end of the world and the deaths of all his friends was to say "you're so full of... shit!" IMMEDIATELY followed by him saying that despite everything she did he didn't personally want her to die because killing is wrong. my man is too polite for his own good
