This is not a ship I expected to get into while reading Impulse.

Max and Bart may be THE father and son duo of all time...but Helen & Bart duo will always have a special place in my heart.

Helen knows what it feels like to grow without a father, she knows what it feels like to loose a family member and she and Bart can 100% bond over that.

Also I love how she's just as much fun and silly as Bart. She's obviously very mature, but she knows how to have fun too. Like that one time when she pretended to be an alien when introducing herself to Dr. Morlo or when she told Bart to get off video games just to play his game the second he leaves or her April Fools prank on Bart.

I really wish we had a special issue with those two bonding together.

They are divorced and they were never even married.

Honestly everything about their dynamic in Impulse was a delight, two old enemies finding friendship in each other after one last feeble attempt to do the other in "for good" was pretty much closure sex but it didn't close anything 😂

Honestly they should be shipped more, because they do all of the work themselves, and also it would be really funny.
