Salam everyone, I apologize for the lack of updates over the last several months. I was busy taking the bar exam, so I haven't made time to update. I am still in contact with Dr. Moath Abu Samra almost daily and he is doing as well as could be expected for someone in his position.

Moath and his mother are still in Cairo, Egypt with Basim. Sadly their visas are set to expire and Egypt will not renew them. So, last month, Moath used some of the funds to apply for a visa to the Sultanate of Oman where he has some contacts. It is unclear how long this process could take. At this time, he has sent in the application. I am also doing research to see which American visa would be most efficient for he and his mother to apply for.

In the meantime, his brothers Yousef, Ahmed, and their father are still trapped in Gaza. We are praying everyday for their safety and that they are able to evacuate soon. We have purchased a Nomad eSim for them in the hopes that they can at least stay connected with the rest of their family. Dr Moath is the same age as me, he would have been at his med school at the same time I was at mine. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to validate all of those fundraisers, but this is one I can vouch for and was connected to through Operation Olive Branch and the Pass the Hat project.

Dr. Samra has already been safely evacuated to Egypt - and thanks to many wonderful people who donated since this gofundme began, his mother has too, but his brothers and father are still in Gaza.

I know most of us don't have much, but this fundraiser is already past the half way point as a whole and to get another member of his family safely out (it takes about $10,000 per person and the $50k total is currently at $25,536. Another $4,464 will get a 3rd family member to saftey, $20k after that will save his whole family). I have just under 25,000 followers here. A dollar from each of you would genuinely save someone's life.
