Stray Kids with an S/O who is a huge horror movie fan
pairing: ot8 x gn!reader
genre: fluff
disclaimer: this is as always just my opinion :)
a/n: as a huge horror movie fan myself, I had to write this! enjoy!🩷
Chan:
As he said before, it's not like he's scared of horror movies, he just doesn't think they're interesting to watch. But, you're interesting to him and he loves you so he will definitely try for you. He also thinks he won't get scared cause 'nothing scares him' but oh boy was he wrong. You have to promise him extra cuddles because he's not gonna be able to fall asleep that night. Will also try to dissect the plot with you after the movie, and try to find meaning in the story just so it's less scary to him.
If he was never really invested into the horror genre, you could show him the classics like The Shining(1980), The Omen(1976), The Amityville Horror (1979), Psycho(1960) and then also some newer iconic movies like Get Out(2017), The Ring(2002), Sinister(2012), Hereditary(2018) and The Conjuring(2013).
Minho:
Loves it. Loves to try and scare you while you're watching a movie together. At first, you're so happy that you can share your love for horror with your significant other. And you know he really doesn't like jumpscares, so you try to find movies that don't have many of those. But if they do and Minho predicts a jumpscare, he'll grab you at the same time it's happening, making you jump out of your skin even though you saw the movie already. You kinda start regretting watching horror movies with him because he annoys you on purpose. He thinks you're so adorable when you're mad at him, but he wont push too far and he'll always make it up with cuddles and kisses later. Overall, 10/10 experience.
I feel like he'd watch almost any horror movie cause he's a curious cat (hehe) and you'd both share your favorites.
I don't know why, but I also feel like Minho would appreciate good old silent horror movies. I just think if he's a horror fan he may enjoy seeing the roots of horror. Like The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari(1920), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde(1920), The Phantom Carriage(1921), Nosferatu(1922) and Häxan(1922).
Changbin:
I don't think he's too scared of them but I think he doesn't really care for them too much? Though, if you have some interesting thriller or detective movies to recommend he will definitely wanna watch them with you. I think Changbin likes a movie that has an intelligent story with a plot twist. He likes to guess what's gonna happen next and when he's actually right he'll be so happy and proud. He'll keep talking about how he guessed the plot and how smart he is and how you have to give him extra cuddles now. Either way, you're cuddling and snacking the whole time while watching and it's just nice and cozy.
I think he'd enjoy thrillers like The Game(1997), Fracture(2007), The Machinist(2004), The Double(2013), Shutter Island(2010), Zodiac(2007) and 1408(2007).
Hyunjin:
Miss him with that shit cause he ain't watching it unless you manage to coax him into it. It's gonna take a lot of persuading until he finally gives in but you have to be careful in choosing the right movie for Hyunjin. He doesn't like loud noises and he doesn't really like to feel scared. He'd rather watch something for the story, especially if it's an emotional one, and he also likes character driven stories.
I think he could watch artsy or slow creepy movies that are more drama-like but have elements of horror like Pan's Labyrinth(2006), Dark Water(2005), Windchill(2007), It Follows(2014), The Eyes Of My Mother(2016), I'm Thinking Of Ending Things(2020) and Case 39(2009).
Jisung:
Okay, with this one you can go crazy. Any weird horror movie, anything kinda disturbing, deranged or unhinged will be right up his ally. As a horror and anime fan himself, he's seen some pretty weird stuff so experiment, I guess. I also feel like he'd like fun horror movies, idk how to explain but ones that are disturbing but fun at the same time, like you can't look away even though you're looking at a train wreck.
Movies like Funny Games(2007), The Ruins(2008), Suspiria(1977), The Perfection(2018), Perfect Blue(1997), May(2002), Audition(2000), Saw franchise and Terrifier series would be fun for him. Also, since he mentioned Paranormal Activity, found footage horror movies would be fun to watch with Jisung too like Creep(2014), REC(2007), Unfriended(2015) and Cloverfield(2008).
Felix:
This is just not happening unless you can bribe him with cookies, gummies or any other sweets and ofcourse many cuddles and kisses, even more than you share usually. You'll have to practically beg him to watch a horror movie with you or make some kind of compromise that you'll participate in some activity he likes more than you later. He's not gonna sleep all night if you make him watch anything too scary, actually he wouldn't even be watching that. He'd probably be hidden in your neck the whole time and even the creepy sounds coming from the tv will give him nightmares.
The only way to make him watch horror movies is if they're mixed with comedy or they're so bad that they're funny. Like the Scream franchise, The Cabin In The Woods(2011), What We Do In The Shadows(2014), The Happening(2008), Tucker & Dale vs. Evil(2010), Housebound(2014) and ofcourse zombie comedies like One Cut Of The Dead(2017) and Shaun Of The Dead(2004).
Seungmin:
Kind of indifferent towards the scares but I think he gets annoyed with plot holes and characters acting stupid. Rolls his eyes at every over used trope or cliche sentence. You actually end up laughing while watching horror movies with him because he's too cute when he's annoyed.
"How is this killer still alive? He's been run over by a truck ten times, this is stupid!" or "Okay but why is he going towards the sound? Is he that dumb, he's gonna die!"
He does like dry humor though so he'd like some black comedy movies with horror elements like American Psycho(2000), Parasite(2019), The Lobster(2015), The Menu(2022) but also if you want to annoy him on purpose (because he's cute when he gets worked up) show him slashers like the Halloween franchise, Friday the 13th franchise and Black Christmas(2019).
Jeongin:
With Jeongin, I feel like it can go either way and it definitely depends on the theme of the movie. Also, he will probably try to act brave in front of you (until he jumps at a loud sound and then gets embarassed). For some reason I don't have an exact subgenre of horror for him but for some reason I feel like he'd like newer horror movies like Us(2019), Nope(2022), Last Night In Soho(2021), His House(2020), Host(2020), The Invisible Man(2020) and Fear Street film series.

I need more unhinged Richard quotes, like the whole “[coc*ine when you’re young vs when you’re old]” thing or I may simply pass away
Hi Hello 🤗
This ask has been sitting in my inbox for a while, but now I finally come around to compile some more quotes from Richard's interviews (here is 'Part 1' so to speak).
Off to another tiny little round of stuff Richard says (some are interesting, others a little weird or downright unhinged):
I think the quote you mean is this one [from this audio interview]: "It's like, you know, it's like you know when you were young and could do coke for a fucking month and nothing, y'know? When you get old you need to recover from fucking one week." (and the interviewer is seemingly quite lost: "haha..true..👀")
Now, on to the Fellfrosch gem [interview]: Interviewer: Perhaps the disgust at the bitter aftertaste is really just a problem of overly careless personal hygiene? Richard: "Tastes change too. Much of what seemed too bitter to us in childhood tastes good to us today. On the other hand, we usually find the sweets from the past too sweet. Every fur frog tastes different. Pure question of taste. There is no judgment in the text. We’re not saying it stinks."
His readiness to try out his talents with on-screen eroticism some more [interview]: "After I shot some erotic scenes for a video the other day I could also imagine doing an entire film in that direction. I was quite nervous in the beginning, but the longer we were shooting the more fun I had. Erotic, mind you, not pornographic."
in the same interview, he discloses the two main activities which bring him relaxation: "I love lying in bed, smoking and watching good movies more than anything. That is the only thing where I can really switch of other than sex. Lots of both, please. [laughs]"
And another quote from said interview regarding in which time period he would've liked to live and about his affinity to the middle ages (which for me as a history geek is so lovely to see that he is into that period as well): "I guess the sword and blade time as I always call it. Knights templar, 11th century. I can answer that this well, because I like to watch even stupid movies when they deal with that period. I just have a huge affinity to it somehow and would love to find out how things were going back then."
The way he pressurized/threatened (?) Jonathan Davis to sing a high note for the song "Silent so long" (man Richard must be such a nice fellow to work with 👀) [interview]: "But there was a high note in the chorus that Jonathan couldn't quite get right. So what to do? He said he couldn't sing that high. So I grabbed the receiver and whispered the following into his ear: "Watch out, Jonathan. This is the German way! Now take both your hands, grab your balls and squeeze until you get that damn sound."
Touring is hard, but partying is even harder [interview]: "Touring is not the problem, but partying is. If you went straight to the hotel after the show - no problem. But if you party until six in the morning, it's getting increasingly more difficult to get out of bed."
Being super vague in moments where we need more facts from him like in this interview, about the "Bück dich" performance of Till and Flake: "If Till had to do it to me… I would probably you know, like… uhm.. I'll do… something."
this whole feverdream here: an interview for the promotion of the first Emigrate album back in 2007, where Richard and his alter Ego "Mister Emigrate" answer the questions 'together'. It's has a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde vibe to it but is kind of cute ✨
On a more serious note, here he talks about the effects of drugs on him: "I took a lot of cocaine. You reach dimensions that you could never reach otherwise. You can edit a bass drum for eight hours."
Thank you for your interest in even more stuff Richard says 😌
#rammstein#richard kruspe#ask#boy i could go on and on#i haven't even started collecting stuff from the video interviews#he says so many interesting things most of the time and other times it's just. Oh the horrors#what is he saying again#but well never a dull moment with this gentleman here

Now that I know selfcest is allowed on main: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I read the book for the first time when I was twelve, and I was immediately all about it—giving into your worst urges lends itself very well to committing The Ultra Incest™️, after all! And oh the shame and horror that poor Henry would feel; you’re already not supposed to be queer in the 1800s, but what kind of a man would feel attraction to himself? 😈
My favorite version of this ship is the 2007 movie, with Dougray Scott, even though it’s a modern retelling—because it’s the only version I know of that actually gives us a bit of the selfcest! 💗 I think they were genuinely going for a repressed sexuality angle with that adaptation, which is awesome.
That's a great self/self ship that I hadn't considered. Jekyll is definitely drawn to Hyde's lack of inhibitions.
I haven't seen the Dougray Scott version.

Happy Birthday Stephen "Dougray" Scott born on November 25th 1965.
In my opinion Dougray is one of the most underrated Scottish actors, with his broad Scottish brogue he oozes Scottishness whenever he speaks in his native tongue.
After attending Auchmuty High School in Fife trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where he was named most promising drama student and took the his stage name from his grandmother's surname, "Dougray
Scott's early work was in Scottish national theatre and television, first appearing in the series Soldier Soldier as well as on the stage in the Tim Fleming directed production of Wallace. Early television credits to follow included The Rover, Taggart: Nest of Vipers, Lovejoy, and Soldier Soldier. Scott followed this up with impactful turns in the films You Don't Have to Say You Love Me, Black Beauty, and Another Nine & a Half Weeks. Shortly thereafter, Scott could be seen opposite Drew Barrymore in the hit film Ever After, opposite Robert Duvall, Tea Leoni, and Vanessa Redgrave in the film Deep Impact, as well as the second installment in the hit Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible 2.
He also starred in a film I mentioned the other day, alongside Dougie Henshall, This Years Love, look out for it, it is very funny and full of Scots, but set in London.
Scott also appeared opposite Kate Winslet in Michael Apted's Enigma as well as the 2002 film Ripley's Game, opposite Ray Winstone. Starring opposite Jennifer Connelly in the 2005 film Dark Water and the 2007 film Hit Man, Scott soon appeared in US television for the first time in the ABC miniseries The Ten Commandments as well the Hallmark TV movie Arabian Nights.
Other film roles have included the hit film Ever After, opposite Drew Barrymore Then with Robert Duvall, Tea Leoni, and Vanessa Redgrave in the film Deep Impact, as well as the second instalment in the hit Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission Impossible 2. Scott also appeared opposite Kate Winslet in Michael Apted’s Enigma as well as the 2002 film Ripley’s Game, opposite Ray Winstone. In 2006 Dougray appeared in US television for the first time in the ABC miniseries The Ten Commandments as well the Hallmark TV movie Arabian Nights. US television audiences next saw Scott in the NBC series Heist as well as the hit series Desperate Housewives. He followed these impressive turns with the BBC miniseries adaptation of the cult classic novel The Day of the Triffids .
He was also been seen in the critically-acclaimed movie My Week With Marilyn, the hit Netflix series Hemlock Grove, and the Cinemax series Strike Back. On this side of the Atlantic, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was great as well as another film was New Town Killers, set in Edinburgh, and in an episode of Dr Who with Matt Smith. He was also in the TV series, Snatch, based on the film of the same name.
During the last few years playing Colonel Jacob Kane in the series Batwoman. The series was cancelled after 3 seasons. He has also appeared in La Cha Chis a dark comedy which also stars the excellent Rhys Ifans, it was written and filmed in South Wales in four weeks over the coronavirus lockdown.
At present you can find Dougray in the Irvine Welsh series Crime, where he platys troubled detective DI Ray Lennox. I’m really looking forward to the second installment, which will see the excellent English actor John Simm join the cast.
In the second season Ray is ready to return to the fray at Edinburgh Serious Crimes, keen to prove he is fully recovered from his breakdown, I’ll say no more in case you haven’t watched series one, please go do it! Dougray has one a Scottish Bafta for his portrayal and just this weekend in the 50th International Emmy Awards was also awarded Best Performance by an Actor. Vigil, set in Scotland won the Best Drama Series
In a post on social media, Welsh congratulated the Hollywood star, who he claims “battled for years” to play the lead role in Crime.
Dougray will also be in the Sky series A Town Called Malice about a family of petty thieves from South London who decamp to Spain to profit from an unexpected windfall. I’m also looking forward to the film, Irena's Vow telling the true story of Polish nurse Irene Gut Opdyke, who was awarded the Righteous Among the Nations medal for showing remarkable courage in her attempt to save Polish Jews during World War II. The film is based on the Broadway play of the same name. It is set to premiere next year.

DENHOLM ELLIOTT
DENHOLM ELLIOTT

Denholm Elliottwas an English actor. He appeared in: Voyage of the Damned (176), Watership Down (1978, voice actor), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), The Wicked Lady (1983), A Room with a View (1985), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989), Toy Soldiers (1991), The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1968), Marco Polo (1982), and Bangkok Hilton (1989).

His aircraft was hit and landed in the North Sea near Sylt, Germany. [WEEK 10] IRL BFFs, Online Foes? Why We Turn Savage on Social Media
Hit those comments on a news post lately? I’m talking about every kind of news, not just those celebrity scandals or political controversies. Comments sections often erupt into flame wars, and social media becomes a battleground of insults and negativity when people have different or opposing opinions. But why? What makes otherwise normal people turn into digital Dr. Jekylls and Mr. Hydes? Let's dive into the psychology of online conflict and see what makes the internet such a breeding ground for bad behaviour.
The Disinhibition Effect: Unleashing Our Inner Troll
Psychologist John Suler (2004) coined the term "online disinhibition" to explain how our usual social filters get weaker online. In other words, it is where social and personal restraints weaken in the digital world. Suddenly, the fear of social consequences seems to disappear, and people feel free to express themselves in ways they wouldn't dare to face-to-face. Imagine inhibitions as those little angels on your shoulders, reminding you to be polite. Well, online, those angels seem to take a permanent coffee break. Here's why:
Anonymity - No One Knows Me: Online, individuals can engage without revealing their true identity, leading them to feel less accountable for their actions and more willing to express themselves freely.
Invisibility - No One's Watching (or So You Think): Without face-to-face interaction, the fear of getting called out seems to vanish. It's easy to forget there's a real person on the other side of the screen, leading to less restraint and more negativity.
Asynchronicity - Time to Craft the Perfect Put-Down: Online communication isn't always back-and-forth. This delay lets people take their time crafting the ultimate insult (or carefully consider a witty comeback, hopefully!).
Solipsistic Introjection - Me, Myself, and I (and Maybe My Misunderstandings): Without nonverbal cues and the full context of a conversation, it's easy to misinterpret online interactions. This can lead to people assuming the worst and reacting poorly.
Dissociative Imagination - The Online Disguise: The internet can feel like a place to reinvent yourself. This disconnect from your real-world identity can make it tempting to act differently online than you would in person.
Minimization of Authority - Everyone's Equal (at Least on the Surface): Social hierarchies and authority figures seem less powerful online. This perceived anonymity and empowerment can lead to bolder (and sometimes ruder) behaviour.
More Than Just Anonymity: The Psychology of Cyberbullying
This disinhibition effect, however, can have a dark side. When that feeling of anonymity and reduced accountability is mixed with a lack of empathy, it can easily lead to cyberbullying. Cyberbullying can take many forms, from nasty comments and flaming to harassment and doxing (revealing someone's private information). But why do people stoop to this level?
Narcissistic traits: You know those folks who strut around offline, constantly craving attention and admiration to keep their egos inflated? Well, turns out, they're drawn to the internet like moths to a flame. Why? Because the online world offers them a stage to showcase their fabulous selves to a massive audience at the drop of a hat. They're the kings and queens of Social Network Sites (SNS), soaking up every like and comment like it's pure gold. And let's face it, they're fostering a generation with extreme digital narcissism who can't survive without a constant stream of applause and validation (Keen 2007).
Sensation Seeking: Ever met someone who lives for the adrenaline rush, constantly chasing after novel and intense experiences? These folks have a personality trait called sensation seeking (Zuckerman 1979), and it has been frequently linked to problematic Internet use and is assumed to be associated with Cyberbullying (Kim & Davis 2009). High sensation seekers often take physical, social, legal, and even financial risks simply for the sake of the experience.
So, How Do We Avoid Becoming Online Ogres?
Before you unleash your inner keyboard warrior, take a deep breath and consider these tips:
Pause and Reflect: Take a moment to cool down before hitting post. Ask yourself, "Would I say this to their face?" Chances are, the answer is no.
Remember There's a Person Behind the Screen: Online interactions are still human interactions. Treat others with the same respect you'd expect in real life.
Disengage from Negativity: Don't feed the trolls! Sometimes, the best response is no response.
The Takeaway: Be the Change You Want to See Online
The internet doesn't have to be a digital battlefield. By understanding why online conflict happens, we can be more mindful of our own behaviour and promote a more positive online environment. So, the next time you feel the urge to flame someone online, channel your inner peacemaker instead. The internet needs more heroes, not more villains!
Remember, everyone makes mistakes online. If you've ever been part of an online conflict, it's never too late to apologize and move on.

October/Halloween Movie List Inspo by Theme!!!!
I probably forgot or omitted a ton of stuff so please don't get mad lol. Most of the older ones are available on YouTube or Tubi, the majority are in English, and most of the lists are in chronological order. I also avoided most sequels for simplicity's sake. I've seen most but not all of these so no content warnings are listed, so be sure to check accordingly.
