Yeah I'm like 6 months late, idk, blame Zelda, or life itself, idk. Better late than never I guess. This album is about a girl and her cat. Or maybe it's the other way around? For a two-parter though there's really not much story going on in this one it's pretty much all setup for the next one so don't expect an abrupt cliffhanger or anything like that. I actually wasn't impressed at first but now I find myself constantly humming every other track throughout the day, they're all pretty good.

On the production side Rena is once again absent from this album so I'm actually rather worried for her at this point, I really hope she's just happy doing something else and they're saying health issues only as a façade. The new vocalist Ruru is pretty good though, Luna and Risa Yuzuki are also really good as usual. By the way I had the chance to see their last live concert, the one they streamed, they really looked amazing on that, Yuzuki Risa looked very cute and Luna was perfection just as I expected. I don't like tl notes but I guess it's worth adding: 道黒 (doukoku) isn't a real word, it's a compound made from Road (道) and Black (黒), and it's read like 慟哭 (doukoku, lament). Also the song 妖瞳の悪魔, the 悪魔 (demon) shows くろねこ(black cat) as the reading, basically saying that the cat is a demon.

Well here it is. Really solid record this time around, particularly with the track Shuumaku no MiaLuca. Would really be one of their better songs but I don’t quite agree with the scream of intense pain they left in, it’s quite dramatical for sure but still jarring on subsequent listens, much like Yuzuki Risa’s “ne?” on her song, for some reason it just doesn’t sit well with me.

Also gotta admire the naming sense on these tracks, aside from Dear they all have such badass names lmao. The cover art is golden, the back art of the album is diamonds, overall just really good stuff. Feel like they really captured the sheer hatred and resolve of the main character and also the love she holds for her cat. Still feels like there’s not enough story to really justify a two-parter, but given the fact the music is solid on it’s own it doesn’t really matter. I for one ended up listening to the previous album way more than I originally expected.

Anyway, my work pc imploded or something and I rarely if ever feel like tling on my phone so expect even less from me in the near future. Lyrics down below the cut and see you all next time.
