i listened to over the moon prior to watching the series actually, courtesy of my spotify recs, and i do just really like it. there's a pretty decent chance it's gonna be in my top 10 in spotify later this year, i'd say. i love how echoey & vibey it is

this is the best msp song don't @ me. sorry rock & star it is pretty close, but not that close. i always like a song like this that is about other songs (hozier's almost / sweet music too, ex); it suits tinn's character and the themes of the episode it's introduced in and it's just a very pretty song. gemini has such a nice high singing voice

i don't think i've seen it like, listed as that english title, but that's what sunadokei means. the ending theme of bokushoku is on kat's original list and also very very good, so a secondary add here, but i really like this op. her voice is very pretty & the song is bouncy and cute, and the lyrics meaning is so..... soft. about a slow-moving hourglass and the precious, dreamlike time we have, and that even when it runs out itll be okay. share all your sorrows and happiness as much as possible [cries a little]

i love this fic so much, i genuinely enjoyed writing the complex set of Issues they have to negotiate around to even have a combative and frankly malevolent relationship with each other bc they are soooo similar and would bite each other (sexually, malignantly) if ever they were in a room together

Here's one of my favorite parts from chapter 3 of my wip:

“What was he like as a kid?” Aiden asks during dinner. Eskel takes one more sip of his ale, laughter in his eyes because Lambert is watching him with a warning glare. “What do you think?” “Well, from my perspective,” Aiden muses, “there are two possible scenarios: either he’s gotten worse with age, which I don’t think is very likely, or he’s actually mellowed out throughout the years, in which case, my sympathies to you guys.” Lambert lets out an ugly guffaw while Eskel merely chuckles. “Second option would be closer to reality, yeah. I was out on the Path when he was brought here but even I heard how much of a menace he was back then, with one of the nastiest mouths of the keep to boot. Which is impressive given that he was, what? Ten, eleven years old?” “Nine, actually,” Lambert corrects, not bothering trying not to sound like he’s boasting.

I'm in a sillygoofy mood still so I'm going to share 7 lines from the beginning of a wip I haven't mentioned or named yet, but which I'm rotating in my mind at increasing speeds

Whenever Eira closed his eyes, he dreamed of the sea.  He had read about it– many times, over and over, until the words on the pages in the tower library were almost worn away. How the wind that skipped up over the water was cool and refreshing. How you could taste the salt on the breeze. How white-winged birds wheeled above the waves like kites, their cries ringing high and plaintive like the whistle of a corflute.  But when he opened his eyes, Eira was faced with only the golden waves of the Okira Sands. Wind-sculpted dunes stretched in every direction, soft sprays of glittering sand trickling off the peaks with every gust of scorching wind.

I'm super enjoying these games but I'm in a bit of a Tagging People slump (and I don't want to doubletag too many people lol) so I'll leave an open tag on this!!! And if anyone wants to do it Ill add you to my tag list for the future.

one finished fic -- "goodbye forever (until next time)", written anon though i think their username is in the fic notes now, the boston/nick fic of all time. historically and notably made me cry about fisting. it is ao3 locked so you need an account

one poem -- "invocation" by w.s. merman. it's very short, so here's another; "the waiting" by stephen dunn (my body was an ache, a silence)

POCKETS

• wireless headphones - a lightweight pair of simple bluetooth headphones. highly useful for phone-calls mid-web-slinging as well as for listening to music on commutes. they were a gift from glory grant after she'd watched gwen untangle her headphone wires from a string of web one too many times.

• a guitar pick or two - solely for mj, often ending up in gwen's pockets after mj drops one on the floor and leaves it. guitarists do have a lack of object permanence when it comes to dropped picks after all.

• hairpins - spiders can go a lot of places. through solid objects is not one of them. gwen keeps a few hairpins on hand for the purpose of getting into places that might be locked a little to tight. of course, never trying to trespass - it is often in the event of abandoned locations that are locked up and forgotten about.

• tidepen / compact detergent - come on. can't wear a white suit ( even a symbiote ) and not carry on of these around.

• metrocard - allowing her to traverse the subways, given to her by her father after he caught her jumping the turnstile one too many times.

BAG

• notebook - a mixture of class notes, random writings, groceries lists, and ideas yet to be realized. there's really no rhyme or reason to the organization but it has plenty of margin doodles and highlighter marks.

• drum key - moves between her bag and pockets. often left behind. very useful tool for someone who slams the snare drum as hard as gwen.

• pliers and an allen wrench - for the occasional mechanical emergency. often this emergency is the mary janes having gwen do all the furniture building and break-down. super-strength and all.

• compact film camera - great for immortalizing memories with a fun vintage-y look. a lot of the photos include a thumb in the top right corner or blown-out lighting. but she's having fun with it.

• usb sticks - how they ended up in there is a mystery. they probably contain a mixture of photos, videos, audio recordings, and text documents of varying importance.

• XLR cable & 6.35 mm cable - somehow also always ends up in her possession. highly important for rehearsals. somehow almost always forgotten.

see this is what you love most. their eyes light up and no one can do it quite like them. whether they are a fighter or a healer. whether they are full of grace and gentle poise, or brute strength and wild energy, you love them when they are at their purest form. raw and unfettered. unadulterated by social cues and careful masks we all wear. when they are just them, trusting their instincts, using their experience, relying on the skills they earned. this is when you heart swells with pride. and you can never decide if you want to interrupt them and draw them into your arms with a hungry, appreciative kiss. or if you could sit there and quietly observe them for hours with more satisfaction than anything physical could bring.
