Dose of Colors

Alohaaaa! Been a few days since my last post, so excited to share another thoughts on....... lipstick!

Today I’m gonna talk about Dose of Colors Matte Lipsticks and Classic Lipgloss. So, I own five Matte Lipsticks and one Classic Lipgloss, both are liquid. Let’s just breakdown the pros and cons, shall we?

PROS

Super lovely packaging. It’s different than another type of lipsticks. They’re chubbier, but also compact and won’t take much room on your purse. The cap has some kind of “lock” so when you twist the applicator cap, you can make sure that it’s tight enough after you twist and feel the “click” (I’m sorry for this crazy description, I’m still trying to upgrade my english). The difference between matte lipsticks and lipgloss are in the tube, the doff ones are for the mattes (obvious) and the clear ones are for the gloss.

Formulation and staying power: as far as I’m concern, they are very very comfortable on the lips. Glides on heavenly, stayed all day with a little fading on the inner lips (with no heavy meal, just sips of water and light meals). I never wanted an exactly long wearing lipsticks after all, because I always love a little touch ups throughout the days or change my lipstick color once or twice a day (krrrrrazy, I know). Oh, and just a little hint, the matte ones does accentuate the lip lines a bit, but not in any crazy way.

Pretty color range. From nudes to striking bold reds, they have it all! As I mentioned above, I have five matte lipsticks: Kiss of Fire, Stone, Truffle, Bare with Me, and Brick. For the classic lipgloss I have Bellini (such a pretty name). Another thing I love from Dose of Colors, the colors of every lipstick is fantastic. Super super opaque, even the lipgloss are so pigmented. One swipe than boom!

CONS

The classic lipgloss feels nasty on the lips. I’m sorry but I had to write this. I love every single colors Dose of Colors have, but I just can’t stand the feelings of their classic lipgloss. Feels.......... sandy (if that even make sense). Like something just don’t feel right. Just hope that Dose of Colors will improve the formula and made the gloss even better.

I think thats pretty much everything I can think of Dose of Colors. I hope they will launch more beautiful shades as I will be the one who’ll say yes to every collection they have.
