"The Richmond City Council found no direct evidence of race discrimination and a paucity of local qualified minority businesses, but also ascertained that while Richmond was 50 percent black, less than one percent of construction contracts had been awarded to minority businesses."

241108 Hyell's Club Editor's IG Update with DOYOUNG
"Thank you so much, Doyoung-ah 🍀
While I was on a taxi ride after work, I was listening to Doyoungie's songs, wishing to meet him someday, and I finally did!!
Thanks to Doyoungie, I came to Seoul to watch Dorsen and made many friends, and thanks to those friends, I gained the courage to come to Seoul to live, and I’m living well, pursuing my second dream in Seoul!
I even tried to match Doyoungie's personal colour by wearing sky-blue clothes, but Doyoung showed up in such a pretty purple cardigan hh. And there was this refreshing scent— it was fascinating as it smelled the same as the confetti..
While filming, I teared up when I heard ‘The Story’, and of course I cried during the concert too. What am I going to do if Doyoung is so good at singing? ㅠ
When I told him I was a fan, our Doyoungie got shy… hh. Honestly, I was very shy too, because it's the first time I've met him this close. I couldn’t say much out of shyness, but thank you so much for singing 💚
In the future too, I’ll always support both Doyoungie and Dongyoungie! I hope Doyoungie’s path ahead will always be full of happiness and good fortune 🍀"

Walk: MV
First of all, I don't dislike the song. It is nice. That being said, as a perfectionist I wish the instrumental had more sause, more free spirit and "no constraints! I do what I want!" vibe. There is this feeling of hesitance and lack of hidden surprises the best of NCT songs are known for. The voices have more attitude and colour than the underlaying track, which on itself isn't that memorable. (It's like "Little light" case).
Secondly, Walk is another "I'm the best, I'm popular and making money" kind of song that every k-pop act releases nowadays. 127 had "2 Baddies", enough. I'd like some new theme and return to the lore.
"Walk" is the most suitable song on the album to be a title track, to be performed on music shows during summer, captivate with the choreo. However, it feels like a B-side, to be honest.
I do appreciate the change in image, though. The spell of "cool and cold" had to be broken. It became reduntant over the past years.
The MV is great, very rewatchable. It is simple, with no big effects, with the focus on humour and the members being goofy. It is good for charming new fans.
The best part of the MV is Jaehyun. The boy is feeling himself. Not only he is in a great shape physically, he is doing well mentally. And Jae's overall mood always reflects on him. (Even in the promo pics his eyes are not dead). Plus he likes the song. He is cheeky, he puts the gusto into his dance moves, he works with the camera. Eventhough Mark in the frontman as he sings his and Tae's rap parts, it is definitely Jae's era and Jae's choreo.
Yes, it's a pity Do's white hair didn't play a role in the MV. Maybe he felt the pressure of Tae's absence and wanted to do something unusual, add that extra bonus. Wasn't immortalised in a sense. However, he looks good in the track video for Wall to Wall, we had DG look, he posts a lot of selcas and sticks to the colour for now. We are getting multiple variations (white, silver, light yellow/purple, with black roots, etc) and almost daily selcas.
The highlight of the MV for me is Taeil when the neos enter the pool area. He is bad with posing for solo shots, coming off as cool, he needs special set up, mini scenes to shine and stand out (like with the mirror scene in Touch or the reporter scene in Beautiful). Another highlight is Yuta in those dainty glasses with the meat. Killer shot.
That subtle LV sneakers advertisement during Yuta's roof scene, heh.
Pink hair suits Woo, definitely helps him to stand out during group choreo shots. If you are somehow jealous of it on Do's behalf, remember that Woo is in DJJ. His growing popularity helps DJJ sales and DoJae having their Jamal&Dorsen unit.

I'm trying to fight off another wave of jetlag sleepiness (how is this possible I slept 8 hours and only been up for 11) so here is art and descriptions for my characters from Pathfinder Second Edition campaigns.
This is Dorsen, they are a sword. No really, they can manifest and unmanifest their body, but they are the sword. It broke once, and because it's a very high stat weapon, the party debated whether or not to just keep the sword and leave Dorsen inside it. Kindly, they decided to get it fixed, and now Dorsen has crack lines on part of their body. Half the stamps on the sword were the ones used when they sent the pieces of the broken sword in the post, and the other half are ones that Dorsen thought were neat (they got into stamp collecting). The beetle animal companion is called Axle, he is a good boy.
This is Anaphia, Dorsen's fiancee. For reasons, Dorsen got taken by the setting's equivalent of the White Witch, and Ana is on the warpath to get them back (insert DOOM music). She met Dorsen when she was a researcher in the military project testing whether spirits could be used as soldiers. When she found out what had happened to her partner, she left her post, looked up all the legends about this White Witch, and built a weapon specifically designed to hurt her in as many ways as possible. She has named it the "Bitch's Worst Nightmare"
This is my Leshy Summoner for the Kingmaker campaign I'm in. Leshy naming conventions are fun, so his name is The Beautiful Fact that no Matter your Origin, State of Life or Material Composition, Nature Will Welcome you into her Warm Embrace to Spring New Life into this World ... or Beau for short. His Construct Eidolon is made out of the rotting corpse of a dead knight he found in the woods, and technically was Beau's body in his past life? Anyway it's called Trash Panda. They're level 1 right now, and as I get Eidolon Evolutions I plan on editing this and adding more stuff to Trash Panda. Maybe I'll get an Immovable Arm for Beau.
#pathfinder second edition#pf2e#my art style is very cartoony#and also not that good#but I'm still pretty happy with it

A New Opera Emerges for Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls from Brian Wilbur Grundstrom on Vimeo.
A New Opera in Two Acts Fighting Fascism and Sacrificing for Love
Hemingway was a larger-than-life personality. In his popular novel, For Whom the Bell Tolls, we can see some of the author in the character of Robert Jordan, an idealistic young American in 1930's Spain, who accepts a doomed mission to blow up a bridge.
Through his lyrical melody-driven music, Brian Wilbur Grundstrom brings out the emotional depths of the characters and new insight to this Hemingway classic. Using the full versatility of opera, David Dorsen's libretto and Grundstrom's music explore Hemingway's themes of trust, loyalty, honor, love, betrayal, fear, pain, loss, and sacrifice, while adding modern insight, as Robert Jordan's notions of honor clash with the reality of civil war.
The opera takes place in the mountains of northern Spain during the Spanish Civil War in 1937. forwhomthebelltollsopera.com

<< But the more I spoke with conversation designers, and the more I tried to see ELIZA through their eyes — especially the eyes of moonlighting artists among them — the more I realized they were right in one significant way: today's conversational software has scarcely evolved in its deployment of techniques from the arts. Or, rather, after decades of excluding arts-knowledge from the process of creating conversational interfaces, the tech industry was only now beginning to include it again — and not managing to combine them as deftly as Weizenbaum had done back in 1965. After all, in building ELIZA, Weizenbaum had drawn on more than programming skills; he had also ventured into what he called "the domain of the playwright," applying particular lessons from the theater to ELIZA. In other words, a half-century before theater-maker Annie Dorsen coined the term, Weizenbaum was practicing "algorithmic theater." By hiring artists, some of them literal theatermakers, to assist in designing conversational interfaces, the tech industry today has simply returned to those roots. >>

My art loving buddy, Jaehyun-ie. Comrade.
Which reminds me, I always thought of him as looking at Doyoung as a man of art and art. This smitteness with Dorsen and D&G BA. It's so fitting for him to have "the voice of Korea" for a boyfriend. He is like a patron of art, just instead of money he provides moral support and assistance.
