like i said this last night but adam is just getting max to play the villain because he knows he can't help but fall into the role he's been cast in. adam schemed against him and turned everyone mjf even mildly cared about against him but he's also used to being hated so he plays along. he'll become what everyone expects him to be and adam will look like what he believes himself to be, which is the hero all along
