Oh damn, another Tyzula comic! I'm as surprised as you that I managed to keep my word of doing this Monster AU. Not sure if this is going to be as popular as the Vampire+Werewolf mash up, but I like the idea of some sort of Golem Azula (this case in the form of a terracotta) and Gorgon Ty Lee. Ty Lee's snakes love Azula scratches. And Mai's exhilarating adventures continues! Thank you @doodlesanime for the idea of giving the snakes little dresses.

Alright, this needs to stop.
As I mentioned over here, someone is stirring up drama between Zuko/Zutara and Azula blogs by harassing people in their inboxes. At least this time they have (mostly) used their own words instead of directly copying posts from other blogs. Or used a chatbot because boy, howdy, do these messages make no sense, even when they aren't directly copied from other blogs. The eye contact one is a post copied from another tumblr blog, and doesn't even make sense to plop into my inbox because there isn't even an argument presented.
You can see though that this blog has no content, but their followers list is full of Zutara/Zuko and Azula blogs, probably for the purpose of stealing posts to cause drama with. I would suggest everyone on the follow list block and report them immediately, and do this every time you get a message from a blog that looks like this.
@comradekatara, @atla-recluse, @ask-ozai, @ask-azula, @azulas-daddy-kink, @justanotherthrowaway1959, @betteravatarpolice, @a-s-fischer, @fireladyazula, @tinky-dinky, @attackfish, @ultranos, @loopy777, @innocentimouto, @dragynkeep, @atla-fandom-confessions, @wingsfreedom, @zuko-always-lies, @atla-lore-archive, @prying-pandora666, @zuctionary, @zvtara-was-never-canon, @burst-of-iridescent, @waywardbananawolf, @firelxdykatara, @waywardavatarenthusiast, @juniperhillpatient, @super-hero-confessions, @azulas, @firenaition, @waterfire1848, @ly0nstea, @the-badger-mole, @phoebester, @err0r4x, @doodlesanime
If you notice a blog like this following you, liking your posts, or sending you messages, they are stealing posts and trying to cause drama. Block and report them.
You can also follow the link to my previous post to see the list of other blog urls they have used, and you can go to each page and see that the blogs look very similar and have similar if not identical follower lists.

Also love seeing the little crumbs of BITHTL!!
“And their brother needs his name.” Sokka reminded, “I have an idea. I think you’ll love it.”
“Sokka, please don’t name our son after one of your inventions or-“
“Lu Ten.”
Azula froze. For a few seconds, she didn’t move or speak. Then she looked up at her husband with wide eyes.
“What?”
“Lu Ten. Your cousin’s name.”
“You…you’d be okay with our son being named after him.”
“Zuko told me how much he meant to you guys. I figured that if we had a son you’d at least want the option of naming him after the one family member you don’t have bad memories with.”

RULES: Post the last sentence you wrote (fanfic / original / anything) and tag as many people as there are words in the sentence (unless you’re like me and write enough run on sentences to where you can’t possibly tag that many people for words).
From the fic where Tenzin gets his tattoos:
She took it in less than a heartbeat and the smile that grew on his face was more confident with the grounding squeeze she provided him.

Have idea. (Usually acquired during a day dream while listening to music). This idea can range in vagueness from, "Azula and leaves" to "Azula was really just a pile of sentient leaves this whole time." To "Azula was really just a pile of sentient leaves this whole time" + one very detailed scene.
Write idea.
Hope for the best. :'D
Sometimes there's music playing in the background.
Get distracted by tumblr or Flight Rising.
Finish writing the fic.
Post the fic --no or minimal proof reading because I just straight up hate proof reading tbh.
Hope for the best harder.
Tell real life friend about the fic.
Repeat
Tagging @seyaryminamoto @doodlesanime and @thebxghag
Gee I sure hope that all of you are writers and I'm not just remembering wrong again lol
Fanfic writers, what is your work process? Be brutally honest.
Mine is:
I get an idea from a movie/book/song/video/chat/conversation/other fanfic/real life event/no where in particular.
I sit and think about the idea for long enough to get invested.
If the inspiration is a movie/real life event/conversation, I record it. If it's a song/video, I save the link. If it's a book, I take a picture of the page. If it's a chat/other fanfic, I take a screenshot of it. If it's nothing in particular, I just write it down, along with the situation I was in when the idea sparked (drinking coffee, completing a task, ect) so that I remember what the original vibe of the idea was.
I create a note in my phone where I have the recording/link/picture/screenshot/note that created the idea and then I type out all the extra details I came up with in step 2.
I spend a couple of days brainstorming and deciding what are all the events/dialogue/interactions I want my fic to have.
I create a timeline of all the events and add that to the notes app.
I create the fanfic in my head in the form of a movie, so that my brain can visualize what dialogue choices flow best, how much attention I want to pay in the background during each scene, and what is the body language, tone of voice and facial expressions I want the characters to desplay.
I make a video of myself narrating the movie and its details, while mimicking the body language, so that I won't forget the details and I add it to my notes app.
I look back at the video and wonder what instructions I'd give if it was a movie and I was a director, to get a better grasp of how I want all the movement to be described in text.
I make a voice recording of my director instructions so I can listen to myself say it and see if the instructions are formed in a way that would flow well on paper, and if it's not I redo it and add it to my notes.
I find pictures of all the objects/people I want to describe and follow a similar process with the voice recordings so that I can see if the descriptions flow pleasantly and then I add that recording to my notes too.
In the scenes where the background is important, I draw an layout of the room and add all the objects to see if it feels realistic for a room of the specific dimensions to fit all those objects in a way that isn't awkward and then I add the drawing to my notes.
It's been 18 months since I got the original idea and now all the prep is done, so I open a new Google doc and start making a first draft while constantly checking my notes app from reference.
I always complete the first draft in one sitting and now with that first draft and the note as references, I start writing a second draft, which often takes more than one sittings.
After the second draft is done, I open wordhippo (website) to find other words I could use in parts where I feel like the wording could be better and out of the second draft, I create a third one.
I go over the form of the sentences/paragraphs to make sure the fic is balanced properly.
I check for any spelling and grammar errors and since I don't have a beta reader, this third draft is the final product.
It's been 50 years since I got the idea and I finally post.
I look back in regret because I don't like the way it turned out but I don't take it down cause people leave kudos, so I must have done something right.
What is your 🫵work process?

Get to Know Me Tag
1. Were you named after anyone?
Nope, but funny story my parents changed how my name was spelled, so that people wouldn’t associate it with a certain thing, but this random girl called me it, and now my friends call me that unironically… :/ sorry mom and dad. The name Hyacinth just comes from it being my favorite flower.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Yesterday. My mom yelled at me and I’m a huge crybaby, so the smallest disturbances make me sob.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope, way to young for kids, but I think I’d like to be girlmom some day.
4. What sports do you play/have you played?
I did swimming, bhangra, taekwondo, tennis, soccer, tennis again, and finally for the last time swimming. My parents made me take sports and I cried all the time about it, I hate sports now.
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Not as much as I used, which is still fairly a lot, but coincidentally I’m shit at recognizing sarcasm.
6. What’s the first thing you notice about someone?
Outfit, and probably makeup or hair.
7. What’s your eye color?
Dark brown.
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings, I don’t really like watching scary stuff unless I’m with other people, and I don’t like bittersweet endings unless I have someone to unpack it with.
9. Any talents?
I’m fairly good at baking, and analyzing things that don’t need to be analyzed.
10. Any hobbies?
I like writing, drawing, listening to music, playing video games, and baking to name a few.
11. Do you have any pets?
Sadly no, but I want a cat and a dog.
12. Height?
5’5”, I’m pretty happy with my height.
13. Favorite school subject?
I always enjoyed choir, english, health and history.
14. Dream job?
My dream job is to be an author, character designer, or voice actor. I like anything in arts except for dance.
Tagging: @kibutsulove,@doodlesanime, @orangepr, @big-burry-latinas and anyone who wants to do this, I had a lot of fun doing this while I was supposed to be studying lol
Get to Know Me Tag
1. Were you named after anyone?
Not exactly. I got the inspiration for my name from a book called The Shadow of the Wind. There’s a character named Julián in it. I liked the name and plus I share the same ethnicity as the character, so I thought it’d fit perfectly.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Yesterday. I got bit in the face by a dog and got sore at myself about it for a while.
3. Do you have kids?
No I don’t. Despite being twenty-one I think of myself as too young to have kids haha. I’m just a kid myself.
4. What sports do you play/have you played?
I did classical ballet in the past if that counts, although I’d say ballet is more of an art than a sport.
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Not often, and only when it’s pretty obvious that I’m being sarcastic.
6. What’s the first thing you notice about someone?
Their hair, or maybe their height.
7. What’s your eye color?
Dark brown.
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
I haven’t seen many scary movies, so happy endings wins by default. I honestly like bittersweet endings best though.
9. Any talents?
I can whistle pretty well. I can say the alphabet backwards fast. I can also wiggle my ears.
10. Where were you born?
Texas USA
11. Any hobbies?
I like to read, play bass guitar, and make Spotify playlists to name a couple
12. Do you have any pets?
I have two cats and a dog
13. Height?
5’5”/165cm. I wish I was taller, but who doesn’t?
14. Favorite school subject?
English, or maybe world history. Psychology was also pretty cool.
15. Dream job?
No idea. When I was a kid I wanted to be a librarian or a writer. Maybe one day I’ll do that, but not now.
