To kinda add to the above, I also think it would've been nice if Bot fully noticed and acknowledged HOW other people haven't been treating Cabby very kindly too by giving examples of where nobody stood up for her. Lifering was a great supportive person in the episode, but Bot was there for some of the shit that was pulled against Cabby, ESPECIALLY in episode 7. I so wish that that was acknowledged here. And the fact that Test Tube went directly behind Cabby's back to do that. Where does Bot think Test Tube got those files from?

There's also the fact that Test Tube never approaches to apologize for judging Cabby for no reason. Like she just stares at Cabby and Bot hugging for a few seconds after Bot apologizes that's it. And she... doesn't accuse Cabby. That's the barest fucking minimum she could've done.

Also... the "inaccurate depictions" thing wasn't even true outside of Baseball's file... and that was a bunch of contrived bs. Like Suitcase literally had this whole thing where she stood up to Nickel and I guess... Cabby glossed over that somehow??? I can't suspend my disbelief this much sorry all. Idk where the "Manipulated by Balloon" shit came from. Correct me if I'm wrong bcus I haven't seen season 2.

The only reason why it was inaccurate with Bot is because Cabby thought Bot was Bow, something Cabby IMMEDIATELY corrected herself on. Bot coulda just... reminded Cabby that it wasn't her fault because she didn't know Bot and Bow were two different objects and told Cabby to just... start a new file like others said??? So that shit didn't make sense.

The apology just... kinda feels shallow. Cabby didn't do anything wrong here. She's beaten herself up over this shit. It just hurts to watch.

Bot only really apologized for a single thing and we don't get any acknowledgement towards the lying or the mistreatment or Cabby destroying Bow's file as some sort of garbage symbolism attempt.

Bot's apology was kinda supposed to tie everything together and top everything off nicely in a better and at least slightly more satisfying way than whatever the fuck 14 did, but it just... doesn't. It barely acknowledges the issues. They don't really show how seriously they screwed up with Cabby.

I wanna believe that AE has the best intentions here, but they're on very thin ice in my eyes. If they screw up any next steps with Cabby and/or never address Cabby's issues with Test Tube ever again, I think I'm done having any kind of faith in AE. Even Cabby winning wouldn't save it.

i have so much things to say for the all of the enstars announcements,,,,

ok so first EACH CIRCLES WILL HAVE A MUSIC?? pretty 5 music,,, i'm so happy even tho pretty 5 is the only circle I remember lol

now the new group. i'm not completely disappointed but I was surprised (negative) when they revealed an all child units. like, I love some of the designs (fuyume and esu) but i would like them so much more if they were adults or like. 16-19. the youngest one is TWELVE. it's just me but i just dont like young or young looking character in a media where there's mostly adults or late-teens (I dont dislike them im just have a guaranteed bad first impression towards them but i can grow to like them like I did with tori) like ok esu is 16 but he doesn't look 16😭 he shouldve looked more like aira or kohaku who ARE 15/16 (tori doesn't look 17 either but that's why I didn't liked him at first)

apart from that my dream of yuki sakakihara in enstars has finally come true..... i didn't expect the character to be 12 tho

now my other dream was also realised : 2nd round of shuffle units!!!!!!! the new mv was. definitely NOT what I expected but i'm not disappointed. and the music is so good too!! i cant wait for the full version!!! and im very excited for the other units!!! 8. what I don't think Rachel gets this, but having Persephone and Hades cling to someone they barely know from a decade+ ago shows a huge lack of mental and emotional maturity on their ends. I realize it's a bit more complicated because we do know they end up together, but that's why placing it before they even start dating is just a bad idea. This isnt a case of lovers/spouses longing to see each other again, it's two grown adults with the emotional maturity of 15 year olds.

i have things to say about star twinkle!

i understand why people might dislike the season, its definitely more on a humorous and lighhearted note (although hugtto started similarly imo) but honestly, i feel like its the strength of the season

in hugtto the tone jumped all over the place, since star twinkle doesnt attempt to tackle the same serious topics the humor kinda becomes the star (pun not intended i swear) of the show and i still think they bring back or even bring some new good things into the franchise

singing during transformation aside, i like that the monster of the week formula was a little bit toned down! its kinda cool to see the generals actually fight instead of standing still for 15 minutes and then do the "if not for you kids and your meddling dog" speech to just dissapear

i also kinda like the theming of the villains?? no idea why they decided to go with yokai in a space themed show but the idea itself is hilarious imo i dont think the designs are outstanding or anything but they are definitely funny enough to get the message across (please kappard has me rolling since ep1). im ashamed it also took me a bit too long to figure out tengu's mask design but once i did it was kinda good?? like yes sexy fallic mask lady go on, do your thing (i dislike eyeone with a passion tho, both her and bakenyan are kinda...tacky ig also its conterproductive to have a rich girl charcter with THE weird laugh as a gag chara and then have a villain who does the same, booooo)

i also adore the cerberus scene so much, it was very predictable and expected but it still lives in my head rent free since last week

blue cat is also a kinda interesting addition since literally all mid-season cures since forever were either enemies (out of own will or otherwise) or just 100% friendly characters, i like her grayness in terms of relationship to the team

finally, im on the episode about hikaru's mom and thats probably ironically something that should have been in hugtto?? i cant remember any other mom who wasnt absent (and/or dead) in precure who had a development episode and its kinda cool that she is not established despite her age, just because she is an adult and a parent doesnt mean she has everything figured out and i would love to see this exact sentiment in hugtto (also because they kiiiinda reduced even working moms to just moms without identity outside of motherhood)

overall so far (im on ep 18) the season is not even half as bad as i expected it to be judging from people's opinons online but then again maybe thats what got me with hugtto since it wasnt as great as people desribed it (in my opinion and blablabla, i honestly enjoyed all precure seasons ive watched except fucking doki doki)

Ok so someone brought up that California may have integrated earlier which is true, they started integrating in 1947 for latino students not black students. Segregation for black students wouldn't end untill 1970, which up to that point due to schoolboard leaders and politicians had be segregating schools by making distric lines seperate schools and their populations. (Also latino students were still being segregated this way even after 47')

So not only does my point still stand but now I'm even more confused as to why they never acknowledge that half of the characters would not been going to rydell or that the school is integrated 20 years before it realistically would have. And yes I understand that the show is more ~vibes~ than realistic but im not personally capable of that level of suspension of disbelief because yeah rotpl has some racism shown but it forgets that there is larger implications when they make that commentary. There are at least two interracial marriages mentioned that have to have happened 15+ yrs before the show, ya know when interracial marriage was both very illegal and frowned apon??? Not to mention California had extensive laws targeting Asian people during this time frame so Nancy's family owning the frosty palace? Highly unlikely due to the laws prohibiting Asian people to own or rent land in most areas.

And again I dont care that this is a fantasy version of the 50's where rydell has always integrated and racism is whatever the fuck it is in the show. All I want is for the show to ether mention (it doesn't have to be a big thing) that desegregation happened way earlier in the us or that segregation was never thing or what have you. I'm seriously just personally very afraid that if theres a next season something bad is gonna happen to wally even tho realistically the show has made no indication of that happening

Just realized that rise of the pink ladies takes place the year schools desegregated (1954). Which as far as I've seen in the show (I've watched like 2 eps) nobody ever mentions. Also correct me if I'm wrong but wally was going to rydell before the start of the show which implys that he 1. was attending before desegregation and 2. everyone was just cool with him??? Like hes a popular kid, he's on the football team, he's besties with the rich white boys on the team.

And I know the shows not going for historical accuracy but they just never acknowledge it???? This is going to drive me nuts like im fearing for wallys life and the socs are just like omg we love wally😊 (this is speculation ive watched 2 eps and a dozen clips) and im just over here chewing glass afraid their gonna do something to him

God, imagine the dynamic we would’ve had in season 16 though. Like, this is Supernatural, and this is Dean, he would not have addressed the confession right away, he would’ve been so lost and confused and pissed and repressing. like we don’t get dean saying I love you immediately but you can FEEL that something has changed, just like I think a lot of us did in Season 15, and you could feel it all in Cas and Dean’s interactions.  Like imagine Dean rescuing Cas, and cupping his face and his eyes screaming a thousand different words - how the hell could you do that- how can you love me- how can anyone love someone like me- especially something like you- someone ineffable- how the hell did you expect me to leave you here after you didn’t let me say it back- you idiot why did you make a deal- how dare you make me lose you again-- And then Cas is rescued and they trap God with an army of angels from the empty and after everything is finally wrapped up, Cas gives dean that pining look that does the same thing -i never thought id see you again- and i can tell you’re angry with me- i had to do what i did to protect you- to save you- because it was always you- and im grateful you didnt give up on me tho i dont understand why you didnt- but now what?- Dean feels things acutely and blows up so should i say anything or wait to see what even comes of it- should i apologize- And Dean just finds Miracle and they say their goodbyes to Jack and we get a Cas/Jack hug like we deserved and then Dean looks at Cas and says “Lets go home” and then we get a whole other season of hunting things mixed with emotional conflict as the boys figure things out- no big bad on the horizon, just their fucking emotional trauma and turmoil that they havent addressed in 15 years.  And we get Dean being overprotective of Cas, we get him protecting him, bringing him on hunts, trying to leave him behind when the job looks too dangerous, saving a kidnapped Castiel in a case here, if hes human, helping bandage his wounds there, and Cas getting angry when Dean puts himself in harms way to protect him and sam, until eventually they cant be left alone for a second becauuse the tension and unsaid words become palpable And then Dean eventually explodes. Maybe a hunt goes wrong and Cas almost dies, maybe Dean messes up, but he explodes, in the middle of the night, and ends up on the verge of tears because ‘you made a stupid deal and you said all those things and then you left me and what the hell am i supposed to do with that man?’ and ends up just finally pulling him into a kiss with tears in his eyes and his hands shaking and then Sam could fucking hear them yelling and be just about to break it up and then stops once Dean starts pouring his feelings and fucking see them and smile because he knows his brother is finally accepting his happiness and finally feeling happy and hes just so proud and he teases like the little brother he is and i just UGH So anyway, how is everyone else coping?

WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING MOMENTS WAS YOUR FAVORITE? 93 Responses

Mikasa and Levi took the spotlight this week! 30.1% of viewers felt most hyped up by Mikasa’s “explosive” reintroduction to the anime, while 22.6% were stoked to see Levi take on Porco to save Eren. 18.3% were most hyped by the Survey Corps taking on the Jaw Titan and the subsequent cliffhanger.

THE CGI CONTINUES TO BE A POINT OF CONTENTION. BE HONEST, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EXECUTION OF CGI SO FAR THIS SEASON? 93 Responses

Just under 50% of responses seemed to indicate that they thought MAPPA was doing very well with the CGI utilized. A little over 15% stated that although it was not their favorite, they understood that it could be a lot worse. Other responses (in order) were being neutral about the CGI, not liking it, but understanding the need for its usage and folks who adamantly rejected 3D animation. 

I actually prefer CGI titans because of the way their movements looks, it looks almost slower, to me it fits very well with how the big titans are. Im not an anime guy at all so ive never seen cgi in other anime but i really like the way Mappa's CGI looks, it blends in very well. I dont like CGI people though, the shot with Jean throwing the marly soldier off the rooftop i didn't like very much.

I feel horrible saying this believe me... but I really vibed with the CGI up until this episode. I think maybe because it's the first time its been used on humans (OPM) rather then titans. I'm not massively put off though, I really apreciate the efforts this episode must have taken. TY Mappa

The episode is great no doubt, my only concern is the CG personally, as a 3D artist myself, I think I would prefer an all 2D medium like the battle at Stohess. Using 3D is fine as long as it blends seamlessly to the background, like kengan ashura, it's not perfect but bearable.

I honestly think that 2D will always 100% be better than cgi but I can understand why mappa is using cgi

It was fine in the other episodes, but in this episode, it looked overused and bit bad

HOW WAS EREN’S ROOFTOP SWAN DIVE? 94 Responses

When it came down to Eren’s swan rooftop dive (“Like a fallennn angel…”), the majority seemed to be impressed, with 68% giving it a score of 4 or higher. It was not a monolithic opinion however and many seemed also rated it poorly. Do better, Eren!

The Survey Corps has returned! Of these reappearances, viewers most enjoyed Mikasa’s (48.9%), Levi’s (31.9%) and Sasha’s (14.9%) the most. Jean and Connie got a little less love, though we’re sure people were still happy to see them!

It would appear that the slight plurality sees Mikasa as having the best glow up out of the cast, followed by (in order) Eren, Sasha, Connie, Jean, Floch and Levi. The Old Captain doesn’t like to change up his style, we suppose.

In relation to the previous question, we still haven’t seen 3 major members of the cast. Armin, Hange and Historia. When we asked which of the three you were most looking forward to seeing next, the slight majority (52.7%) expressed their excitement for seeing Armin again, followed by 11.8% wanting to see Hange most. Some others have also expressed their desire to see Historia again. 17.2% simply could not choose and 10.8% stated that they simply didn’t care about the 3 characters.

WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT THE WARHAMMER TITAN? 90 Responses

The Warhammer received an overwhelmingly positive response, with the majority expressing much excitement over both its design and powers. 15.6% noted that the design was a bit too creepy for their liking, but the powers were awesome. And on the flip side, 10% noted the Titan’s design was rather cool, in contrast to its rather OP ability. A select few did not enjoy either aspect. 

Would probably enjoy it more if it belonged to someone that likely is not going to be just cannon fodder

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE NEW UNIFORMS? 92 Responses

The Survey Corps returned sporting new uniforms to much fanfare. 30.4% of respondents really enjoy the upgrade, finding the suits to be badass. 23.9% couldn’t find the words and just settled for pure hype. 20.7% enjoy the new uniforms just as much as they enjoy the classic uniforms. 12% felt it was a much needed upgrade, though 10.9% don’t care at all about the uniform change.

EREN SAYS TO MIKASA, “YOU GUYS ACTUALLY CAME.” THIS IS FOLLOWED UP BY MIKASA ASKING EREN TO COME HOME. DOES THIS INSINUATE THAT EREN WENT TO THE MAINLAND ON HIS OWN? 90 Responses

The circumstances of the Survey Corps’ presence on the mainland continues to be a mystery. When we asked about whether Eren was there alone or not a few episodes ago, the majority believed that he was either there alongside the Survey Corps or was sent there by them. Overall, the feelings seem to be the same (that Eren came alongside the Survey Corps). 45.6% think that Mikasa’s words may have some other meaning and that things are way too planned out to be coincidence. 18.9% believe that Eren did go rogue, while 15.6% think that Eren didn’t necessarily go rogue, but wasn’t working with them for a while either. The remaining 20% have already been spoiled on this particular plot point.

THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO SEEMS TO PARALLEL THE BREACH OF SHIGANSHINA. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS EVENT IN COMPARISON? 92 Responses

Now that both sides of the conflict have had their rude awakening, we asked how you guys felt about the two events comparatively. 33.7% feel that both attacks were tragic, but still feel more empathy toward the Eldians on Paradis than they do toward those who were raised on Marley. At a tie, 22.8% of respondents felt that the victims of the Liberio attack got what was coming with them, while another 22.8% felt about the same amount of sympathy for the victims on both sides. 10.9% feel this is way worse than what happened in Shiganshina and feel more sympathy for the victims in Liberio. 

I am yet to know the goals behind this attack.

Marley did this countless times so I don’t feel bad for them. I kind of feel for eldians tho bc they are brainwashed from a young age to give up their lives for a country who doesn’t give a shit about them. 

Honestly they deserve what Eren is doing to them. Excluding Falco, no one outside of Paradis has earned my sympathy, even with the additional context.

SADLY, UDO AND ZOFIA DID NOT SURVIVE THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THEIR DEATHS? 91 Responses

Udo and Zofia have joined the ranks of characters who tagged along with the main cast for a while only to be killed off for character development. 25.3% anticipated at least one of them to die, but not both. Another tie on this poll, 24.2% stated that they were disappointed and was hoping to see more of them, while another 24.2% didn’t care about them at all. 14.3% are happy to ditch the focus on them in favor of more familiar characters, and 8.8% feel pure and utter devastation.

Eren and Floch were anything but BFF’s at the closing of season 3. Now Floch seems to be wholly devoted to Eren’s cause… What changed? 28.6% believe that nothing has actually changed in terms of their relationship, but that Floch simply just latched onto Eren’s fight in need of a new devil. 23.1% feel that they still aren’t friends, but are in more comfortable “ally” territory. 15.4% aren’t sure what to make of it. Smaller handfuls feel that they either grew to become friends and/or co-conspired to attack Liberio together. 22% are already spoiled on the details. 

Floch is easily persuaded...and annoying 🤷‍♀️

WE SEE GABI GRAB THE GUARD’S FUN AFTER WITNESSING SASHA KILL HIM. WHAT DO YOU THINK MIGHT HAPPEN? 90 Responses

Gabi moves headstrong into the fight, wanting to play her part in defending her hometown. A large chunk of anime only viewers have been spoiled on future developments for her character. But for those still in the dark - 24.4% feel that she will successfully kill a member of the Survey Corps. 21.1% aren’t sure what to expect, while 10% think she will only manage to injure someone in the Survey Corps. Smaller amounts feel she won’t be successful in any capacity or may even die herself.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?

Epic episode, survey corps come back, OH YEAH, but I wished they didn’t use CGI on humans and bettered the CGI on Titans.

It really makes me sad how Eren is continuing the cycle of revenge by killing innocent Marleyan civilians, but it makes sense for his character.

I think I need more dialogue between the old crew to really settle back in with them. I kinda believe that Mappa's still trying to 'click', they obviously can't just get it right immediately. Other then that I loved the titan scenes, more than ODM scenes 😔

This was a great episode and I was literally vibrating in my seat from excitement! I think MAPPA is doing a great job with the animation and the music works really well with the action. Can’t wait for the rest of the season!
