I will no longer be writing for genshin and eventually even hsr. Hoyoverse is taking from cultures and not showing representation for those cultures. Sumeru was disappointing and sad to see when it took from cultures in India but didn't provide the best representation. Natlan is the same, using the culture but not providing the representation of that culture.

HSR has also proven to already follow a similar path. Penacony is based off the jazz era and was started/popularized by Black People and yet not a single playable character is seen. Rather you have the option of letting a black npc die or helping her. Arlan's skill names are also really odd and honestly a bit sickening. For example one of his skills is called Shackle Breaker which is an odd thing to give a darker skinned character.

I do encourage others to use the ingame feedback to tell hoyo to use representation if they're going to use the culture as a reference point.

I do apologize for any who has submitted a request for Genshin or HSR as I will not be filling those. There is a possibility that I will be writing for Zenless Zone Zero as far as I know it will not have derivation from actually cultures and so far might give characters of varying skin tone and designs.
