Actually please do go on about what guns everyone would have/use 👀
ANON DONT ENABLE MY CRINGEEE NOOO
as a disclaimer i'm working off knowledge off the top of my head so they wont be like 100% accurate but then who else in the dsmp fandom is as insane as i am. also i'm only doing characters i'm a bit confident about because if the silent majority considers me mischaracterizing and genuinely cringe i will explode into shrapnel
also, this is excluding firearms that don't shoot bullets, because giving c!wil an RPG-7 is 1. too funny 2. actually accurate 3. he would have it in game given the chance but it's far less poetic
i'll probably add more as i get more confident pinning down each character's quirks, stay tuned
with that said,
c!Wilbur
as an alternative to "literally everything that launches explosives, honestly, have you seen the man?" and "he just throws a mortar round around for fun" a shotgun.
more specifically, a Winchester Model 97 -- famed for it's ability to literally "slamfire" or fire as fast as you can pump it. it's loud; every shot is a point made, 9 fuck-yous launched at 396 meters per second. it's a cloud of metal punching you in the face up close and personally. 5 rounds in the tube and 1 in the chamber, though, the proceeding violence is brief and explosive; don't throw away even a single shot
its solidly made, takes a beating, and most importantly: it's dangerous if you're not more than careful with it
c!Tommy
toms gets a DMR — a Designated Marksman Rifle, or "we just took this assault rifle (that's made for close- and medium-range combat) and put high hopes into it (be something for medium-long range combat, too short for proper sniper rifles and too long for regular assault rifles)
most of the time there aren't any big accurization modifications to it. you just slap a longer barrel and a scope on it. it's trying to fill some pretty large shoes better fit for a proper battle rifle. always needs to be something bigger than itself
specifically it's a DMR'd AR-10; reliable enough, could take a beating, well-known, well-rounded, and well-loved.
i have a headcanon that it'd have a piece of green cloth around its handguard for a better grip. its from tubbo.
c!Quackity
oh you've been waiting for this
that is a Colt Peacemaker (officially the Single Action Army) and it can be chambered in (fit) a lot of different calibers (bullet size) but i'm picking .45 ACP
it's engraved, of course it is. pearl grip. a status symbol and a symbol of power, more than anything
twice as loud and twice as shiny as god's own. every trigger pulled and crack is a sharp punctuation. precise, pinpoint bad day for whatever is on the wrong end of it. a true classic!
very much well loved honestly you ask someone to draw an old timey revolver and they'd probably draw the peacemaker's silly little hump (or a variation of Smith and Wesson's stuff, i don't judge)
Schlatt would probably have something like this. Quackity probably wrenched it off his dead body and re-engraved it to spit on the man one last time
#anonhymns#first of all i apologize for my sheer cringe i promise i just like guns and not what entails it like. the military industrial complex#if anything in this post is inaccurate feel free to reach out#honestly feel free to add to this if anyone has an idea about what kind of gun would fit who i'll expand off of it#fun fact: the germans tried to get the winchester model 97 classified as a war crime because of how crazy effective it was#dms are wide open#hymns sermons#hymnhums

Digimon Story: Lost Evolution #2
Okay, so it's been a day since I actually played this so this might only mostly be accurate, but here's the story so far and what I think of it. My thoughts are in blue Okay so you're at a festival with your friends and you see a shooting star land in the woods. You all go out to investigate and find an orange dinosaur next to a spaceship. Three weirdos pop out of the spaceship and make you fight your new orange dinosaur against their poop monster who has depression. They go to leave and abduct you by accident, leaving you stranded in the Digital world. The weirdos names are Uno, Dos, and Tres here they are:
The character designers did not like Uno or Dos as much as they did Tres.
Okay so I went into the game with a positive mindset. I'm pretty excited to finally be playing this game because it's a fan translation project for a game series I really love that I've been following since I was in middle school. That's why I feel bad that most of what I have to say early on is so negative. The opening is okay. Plenty of Digimon starts with an underdog being thrown into an unfamiliar location (usually the Digital World) with no support network. However, all of my favorite entries in the series break from this trend, and this is not an exception so far.
Alright, so we fell out of the ship on accident, but the smaller children aren't with us so we need to find out where the ship went and rescue them. Eventually I stumble on a digitown and the Digimon there promise to help fix up a ship so we can go and get the kids. They send me out to find some parts from the crashed ship nearby and I fight Uno Dos and Tres again near their crashed Digiship. They reveal that they are beings known as 'Selectors' who select Digimon that will be moved to the next world in a process that they are calling defragmenting. Back at Digitown we see in action what happens to Digimon who aren't selected. They are delt with by the Erasers. Selectors select. Erasers erase. In a cutscene we watch as the Erasers erase a sukamon, numemon, and geremon, but leave unharmed a gatomon, terriermon, and renamon. When we get there we fight the erasers to get them to go away, and find that they've trashed the place including the Digivolution Tree. The Digivolution Tree defines what Digimon can digivolve into what Digimon. It's kind of meta. The erasers have destroyed about half the tree, and when a digimon is no longer in the tree, and all living members have been erased that digimon is effectively extinct. Okay, so it's becoming clear why the game is called what it is by this point. Digimon evolutions are lost, I have to restore them. Stop Yggdrasil or King Drasil, or by some small miracle a different bad guy in this series from deleting the Digimon they don't like. It feels a lot like a twist on the plot of Digital Monster: X Evolution so I am betting on Yggdrasil being behind this, but I haven't seen a royal knight yet so there's hope! And hey about that 'digimon they dont' like' bit, because that does seem to be what's going on, right? I highlighted the digimon erased/selected in green earlier. The ones being deleted are three ugly poop digimon from the beginning of the franchise. The ones being preserved are all fluffy cute ones. Geremon, Sukamon, Numemon (erase on sight)
Terriermon, Renamon, Gatomon (keep they too precious uwu)
So like that would be really cool, right? I'm reaching a bit, but if the plot of this game is a meta thing about how the main villian (executies) wants to fix the digital world (digimon franchise) by removing the lame/stinky/ugly Digimon then that's really cool actually, and I really hope that's the direction this is going! But like. If that's your message. Why did you start me with Agumon?

@yumantimatter @evangelifloss
the tea party was super fun (im probably going to post my ch2 ~thoughts all in bulk when i reach the end since i didn't... have a whole lot to say about the date scenes tbh ^^;;; )
im running into a bit of a block re: theories because 1) idt ch1 gave me enough information on the specifics of the crime scenes, and 2) we haven't brought up my two major mental sticking points at all:
if pretty much everyone has motivation, why are we assuming there is only one killer?
if we're assuming there is only one killer, why were we so quick to rule out there being a 19th human?
elaboration on that latter one under the cut
the ushiromiyas are rich and got rich by being huge shitheads, there's no shortage for motivations outside of the family; covering their tracks by making this into an ~occult horror story~+ playing into beatrice's legend is maybe overly flashy, but not overwhelmingly out there. rokkenjima's small, but it isn't that small, and it's heavily forested; someone shows up via rowboat a day or so prior, camps out in the woods, then day of heads in through the boiler room or something- we've already stated they've been lax about security until pretty recently, and that there are a whole bunch of master keys floating around for the servants, and boom, you have an unknown factor.
with the exception of natsuhi and kanon we don't actually know the cause of death for anyone at all.
the first six were stated to have been disfigured after death and would have only needed to have been killed in literally any other way and hit with a weedwhacker or some shit over the course of 6 hours
eva and hideyoshi were barely examined, and you could easily fake the stake thing with a nonpowered hand drill and a large bit after killing them with another method. none of the survivors checked anything other than the bodies, briefly- if there were literally any human-sized hiding spots in the room, the killer could have just hidden until they left.
the receipt re: kinzo could have been noticed by whoever else entered and replaced after luring him out by pretending to be (for the sake of the idea that this is a normal human) beatrice; his body was burned, we have no clue what killed him.
nanjo/genji/kumasawa weren't examined at all
natsuhi was shot, and the description of her body was vague enough- iirc it was just "blood was running down her forehead"- to rule out the kids (who were already fucking panicking) misreading what happened
assuming kanon's perspective was accurate his death throws things for a loop a bit, since we know for a fact he was stabbed with the stake, but we're already doing implausible gun customization [how in the hell do you modify a double barreled rifle that takes 30x30 rounds to shoot one revolver bullet? if this gets explained please dont tell me], maybe they had an air powered launcher or some shit.
the kids aren't explained at all
like none of this is outside the realm of human possibility for a showstopping mystery performance, and aside from narrative convenience idk why we ruled it out!
playing within the established rules- it needs to either be one of the 18 or a witch- i have no real theories aside from it maybe being multiple members of the party cannibalizing each other, bc i do think its implausible for any one person to have killed all of the other 17 given what we presently know.
anyway, im assuming we'll be getting more and different information in round 2, so ill keep yall posted on my thoughts!
#real life mango#umineko#caveat that my memory isnt spotless and i mostly screencapped what was funny#which means im probably missing some major points#but this is spitballing anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

just gonna document some of the themes my brain latched onto in the thk playlist bc i have nothing better to do👍
i didnt listen to all the songs bc i dont like some of the mainstream pop stuff but i looked at most of the lyrics and this is what my brain's noticed at least. could be reading into things too much bc i love to do that but shrug. if it turns out to have relevance thatd b cool.
also i left out the betrayal/heartbreak/"love as a game" metaphor stuff bc like. that's pretty obvious and i don't care to focus on it lol. additionally, i found a few of the thai songs' translations, but others im not sure about so those aren't included obviously
Jealousy
Relevant lyrics:
That Thing You Do! by The Wonders
- "'cause it hurts me so just to see you go / around with someone new"
ขี้หึง by Silly Fools (translation)
the whole song basically, it's literally called 'jealous' - "smile at me, i'm just a little jealous, just waiting for love" - "and i don't distrust you, my heart's anxious if anyone looks at you" - "(i'm like this) i'm like this with love, but i might be too jealous" - "if anyone makes my heart unsure, would you feel jealous and envious too?"
Lay All Your Love On Me by ABBA
- "i wasn't jealous before we met / now, every woman i see is a potential threat" - "don't go sharing your devotion"
Marriage [likely not thematically relevant]
Relevant lyrics:
Time to Pretend by MGMT
- "let's...find some models for wives" - "the models will have children, we'll get a divorce / we'll find some more models, everything must run its course"
You're Gonna Live Forever in Me by John Mayer
- "and when the pastor asks the pews / for reasons he can't marry you / i'll keep my word in my seat"
You Never Can Tell by Chuck Berry
THIS SONG WAS USED IN THE PULP FICTION DANCE so i dont think its relevant outside of that anymore - "it was a teenage wedding and the old folks wished them well" - "and now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell" - "it was there where pierre was wedded to the lovely mademoiselle"
Escape/starting over
Relevant lyrics:
Time to Pretend by MGMT
- "i'll move to paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars" - "love must be forgotten, life can always start up anew"
California - Tchad Blake Mix by Phantom Planet
- "right back where we started from" - "we've been on the run, driving in the sun"
This Love by Maroon 5
- "whispered goodbye as she got on a plane / never to return again"
Island In The Sun by Weezer
- "we'll run away together / we'll spend some time forever / we'll never feel bad anymore"
Smooth (feat. Rob Thomas) by Santana
- "and if you say, 'this life ain't good enough' / i'd give you my world to lift you up / i could change my life to better suit your mood"
Agency/control (lack of)
Drive by Incubus
- "and i, i can't help but ask myself / how much i'll let the fear take the wheel and steer / it's driven me before, and it seems to have a vague / haunting mass appeal / but lately, i'm beginning to find that i / should be the one behind the wheel" - "so if i decide to waiver my / chance to be one of the hive"
Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve
- "i'll take you down the only road i've ever been down" - "no change, i can change, i can change, i can change / but i'm here in my mould, i am here in my mould" -> "i can't change my mould, no, no, no, no, no" - "i need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah" - "(i just can't change my violence, melody, and violence...)" (? not 100% sure these are accurate lyrics, but i think they're right)
You Don't Own Me by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
this whole song pretty much - "you don't own me / i'm not just one of your many toys" - "and don't tell me what to do / don't tell me what to say" - "don't try to change me in any way" - "don't tie me down 'cause i'll never stay" - "i don't tell you what to say / i don't tell you what to do / so just let me be myself" - "i'm free and i love to be free / to live my life the way i want / to say and do whatever i please"
This Love by Maroon 5
- "the chaos that controlled my mind" - "and i have no choice, 'cause i won't say goodbye anymore"
Crazy by Aerosmith
- "that kinda loving turns a man to a slave"
Island In The Sun by Weezer
- "and it makes me feel so fine / i can't control my brain"
The past/memory
Relevant lyrics:
คนของเธอ by Maew Jirasak (translation)
- "you don't need to ask me about the past" - "but i have past mistakes" - "i don't want you to ask, it doesn't concern us / it's not a memory of us" - "we still can't return to yesterday, and we still don't know tomorrow" - "regardless of who you used to be or what has happened" - "there's no need to ask me about the past"
ยังไงก็รักเธอ by Chat Chaichat (translation)
- "screw the past, forget it, it's not worth remembering" - "don't get upset, screw whoever says anything, pretty soon you won't remember"
ขอบใจจริง ๆ by Y not 7 (translation)
- "in the end, we separated / and left behind only memories" - "make me remember my costly* lesson" (*translation said 'expensive', but i think this might be what's being implied)
Island In The Sun by Weezer
- "you don't need no memory / just a place to call your own"
Time to Pretend by MGMT
- "love must be forgotten, life can always start up anew"
Specific character connections:
Bison
he's the one i made the most connections to, maybe bc they're the most blatant or maybe bc i just am just bound to pay attention to him. the theme that i think connects to him most is agency/control. i also have a suspicion the jealousy theme is related to him as well, but there's not really any evidence of that as of yet.
with the agency and control, it's pretty clear already that this is one of bison's main struggles in life. he desperately wants to live his own life and feels pressure from both his brother and his mother, but also from his own nature/life circumstance ("mould"). i personally think Bitter Sweet Symphony in the playlist probably directly relates to bison based on the things i've noticed:
"the only road i've ever been down" -> references how bison's life is reduced to and has never strayed from its singular path/purpose (one which was forced on him and he didn't have the power to change)
"no change, i can change, i can change, i can change / but i'm here in my mould, i am here in my mould" -> references bison's struggles with wanting a new life (change) but not being able to achieve it, especially with regards to the fact that he's been 'moulded' into who he is. nevertheless, he believes in the possibility ("i can change")
"but i'm a million different people from one day to the next" -> maybe a bit of a stretch, but this line made me think about bison's interview, where he talks about trying "a hundred" different professions. the line fits well with the idea that bison has to constantly be "different people" in his er, line of work
"i can't change my mould" -> juxtaposition with earlier "i can change", indicating that while bison wants to change his life, he'll never be able to change where he comes from
"well, i've never prayed, but tonight i'm on my knees" -> heavy, heavy religious symbolism with bison which we have already seen oodles of, so it's not much of a stretch to connect this lyric to him. it's interesting to me though, because the line is "i've never prayed", while from the imagery we've seen it would imply that bison is (and has been) religious. i don't know if it's this deep, but maybe it's something like bison being raised religious but not fully believing it/having some sort of resentment of it. but im probably just reading into it too much there. interesting to think about though
"i need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me" -> is it a stretch to connect this line to bison's penchant for pain play? probably but that's where my mind goes nevertheless
"but the airwaves are clean and there's nobody singing to me now" -> makes me think of kant's inevitable betrayal and how that's going to leave bison. but i dont think that's actually intentionally related, just my own thoughts
"(i just can't change my violence, melody, and violence)" -> well, "can't change my violence" is pretty obvious, because yeah, part of bison's struggle is that he can't change the violence he carries with him, even if he manages to change his life he can't change his past, his mould, his 'violence'
some of these lyrics could also apply to fadel, but i think his attitude about it is much different from bison's and this song paints a picture that fits bison's perspective much more — at least for the moment.
i think You Don't Own Me could also be related to bison, but i'm not sure if it's supposed to just be related to bison. but i'll focus on him for the moment. the whole song is about a lack of agency and control, which we know bison is frustrated by. the rejection of being controlled that's central to the song reminds me a lot of bison's rebellious attitude. what i'm not sure about is who the song might be implying is trying to control him — his mother, maybe? fadel? kant, even? all three of them? i'm interested to see how things develop with lilly (fadel + bison's mother), what their relationship actually looks like. so far i havent noticed anything particularly resentful in bison's attitude toward her, but then again she hasn't actually shown up in the show yet, and bison's been sort of dismissive when she's brought up (e.g. khun mae comment from kant). he seems to defer to fadel in terms of communication with her — he wants fadel to ask her for things on his behalf, so i have a feeling he's not got the best relationship with her.
i think Drive by Incubus could have elements relating to bison, because that song focuses a lot on agency. e.g. "i should be the one behind the wheel" could very well apply to him. however, i think the 'fear taking the wheel' thing doesn't necessarily fit him, so...
Kant
like...i don't really know why i first thought of kant when i heard Drive. maybe bc of the stills of him in his car or smth. but now my brain Associates the song with him — maybe it makes sense, maybe not, but here's my thoughts anyway
i honestly rly like the song bc of the 'driving' metaphor. it's about motivations, what's driving you. in this case, it's fear. i do think this is super relevant to kant. he also struggles with agency, in a similar way that bison does — his past ties him down. he's being used as a tool by someone with power over him. but for him, fear is a much more defining factor of this relationship. while bison might hold a bit of fear, it's not what's driving him.
kant is being driven by fear. specifically, fear of being taken away from his brother, who needs him. their parents are dead, babe doesn't have anyone else to lean on. the captain threatens kant with jail time if he doesn't cooperate, and that would ruin babe's life. so kant has to do what he says even if there's "technically" a choice
so one of kant's main struggles is the fear that 'takes the wheel and steers'. the line "it's driven me before" could relate to the past job(s) he was coerced into by the captain, or even perhaps something else in his past (can't help but wonder why he would steal that car initially — surely he's not the kind of person to do that without a reason?)
"but lately, i'm beginning to find that i / should be the one behind the wheel" -> perhaps this could connect to the inevitable change kant will go through, when somehow he decides that he can't work for the captain anymore, that he needs to be in charge of his own life. i don't pretend to know how that will play out, but it's a thought.
(also, didn't notice until just now but the line "i feel the fear of / uncertainty stinging clear" is rly cool given the name of kant's tattoo studio (inksting) and his back tattoo (beware my sting))
something that doesn't immediately connect to kant about this song in my mind are the lyrics that relate to mass opinion. but i'll get into that in a bit, i'll finish with my kant thoughts first.
there are songs about the past/relationships too that i think apply to kant, e.g. คนของเธอ by Maew Jirasak:
i think marriage is also related to kant but isnt necessarily a full theme from the playlist. kant specifically for obvious reasons (mystery wife listed on his info sheet). Time to Pretend mentions wives and even children and divorce, although i'm not entirely convinced that isn't a coincidence given the rest of the song is pretty applicable to other themes. additionally, You're Gonna Live Forever mentions a wedding, but i can't quite make sense of that one since it seems to imply a person is in love with someone who's actively getting married to someone else. but maybe im taking that too literally. You Never Can Tell is specifically about a wedding so i was suspicious, but i recently found out it was the song used in the pulp fiction dance they imitated in ep 2. so...idk. maybe kants wife was a typo. my one fear
- "you don't need to ask me about the past / you don't have to tell me who you used to be with / if i get careless and happen to ask you / you don't have to answer me" - "i don't want you to ask, it doesn't concern us / it's not a memory of us" - "regardless of who you used to be or what has happened / don't be worried, this is your someone"
i think this could relate to kant's past and his current (or future, i guess) relationship with bison. there's also ยังไงก็รักเธอ by Chat Chaichat which i think could perhaps relate to the same event/circumstance. my mind is sort of pinning these past/memory themes to kant specifially because of the unknowns, probably, but i do think his past is much more important than we know right now. so i suppose we'll see.
kant could connect to other songs too, e.g. You Don't Own Me with regards to the captain, but i'm less inclined to focus on those because i think they relate to other characters more. i don't have many specific things to say about it, but i will mention that i think the jealousy theme might relate to kant. im not quite sure how though (his wife showing back up???¿), so im just going to wait and see with that one.
Fadel
ok now, remember that thing about Drive having lyrics relating to mass opinion? in my mind, i think that might relate to fadel a little. we've already seen in just two episodes (but mainly this last one) that he is very conscious of public opinion and perception. he has to be, really, with his profession and everything, but he's much more concerned about it than carefree bison. that's why i think these lyrics might relate to him:
"it seems to have a vague / haunting mass appeal"
"so if i decide to waiver my / chance to be one of the hive"
"and it seems to be the way / that everyone else gets around"
in a way, fadel is somewhat driven by fear, like kant. i think he's less conscious of it, maybe, and it's coupled with other motivations, but fadel is afraid. of slipping up, of not being able to protect bison, of disappointing their mother maybe, etc. fadel's fear drives him to put extra effort into 'laying low' — we saw it when he scolded bison for wearing bright colors, and it's pretty obvious after the second episode: he's polite with strangers at the market, is frustrated when attention is drawn to him, etc. so i think public opinion is something that is very much at the forefront of fadel's mind, which is why this part of Drive reminds me of him.
the agency/control themes also apply to fadel bc of his shared situation with bison. i don't have much to say other than that, but it's interesting to me how central this theme is to the story as a whole.
i think the escape/starting over themes could relate to pretty much any/all of the characters, but bison and fadel specifically given their life situations. bison's more motivated to pursue that escape, but i think fadel very much craves it as well. and kant too, even, wants to escape his past, has done his best to do so but can't seem to fully succeed. i hope they all do eventually 💪
Dunk
dunk confuses me. i feel like i know the least about him, which is maybe true given we have some idea of the backstories of the three other characters. but dunk is like... an enigma to me. i have 0 clue what his past is like, so i can't necessarily connect him to these themes atm.
but it's interesting to me, because he very much seems like the odd one out in comparison to the other characters. from what we've seen so far, dunk has the most agency out of any of them. kant's being a bit deceptive/manipulative with him, sure, but he still willingly made the choice to pursue fadel for his own benefit, and could logically call the deal off at any point.
he works under his father at the auto shop, but we don't really know much about that. i suppose you might be able to connect that to the themes somewhat — his dad tells him not to listen to music, tries to exert this (light) form of control over him, and dunk takes no heed of it. he does what he wants. it juxtaposes fadel a lot, who holds himself back at every turn. dunk's using his prolific agency to taunt fadel, who has none. interesting flirtation strategy there. but it's very interesting.
that's the only theme here that i can imagine connecting to him at the moment — the same agency that's represented in the other characters, but flipped on its head. if bison, fadel, and kant represent a lack of agency, dunk represents an abundance of it. at least so far. which i do think will play a part in his er, wooing of fadel, who craves that agency even if he pretends not to.
we'll see. idk. atm dunk feels a lot more two-dimensional than the other characters so i hope he gets a little more development.
overall very intrigued by the themes in the playlist and how they (will) bleed through in the show. also curious about which songs are actually gonna be in the show diegetically/non-diegetically (though so far สุดสุดไปเลย and คิดอะไรอยู่ have been diegetic, so i expect we'll see more of that)
#nof's nonsense#i wonder if สายล่อฟ้า is gonna be used in it...im thinking abt fadel's little stripdance number or wtv the fuck thats gonna be#we'll have to see... if it is that song though im gonna be like OUUH#only other higher energy older thai song in the playlist is ขอบใจจริง ๆ and i dont think the theme would fit his character very well? idk#whereas สายล่อฟ้า remains an enigma to me bc i cant find a translation. the song's title is lightning rod or smth though#and i think it might mention rain or thunder or smth idr. which. fadel was quite damp in that clip for whatever reason#shrug#or wait. forgot about แดงกับเขียว. i do think that song might relate to them but idk. it's not an older song which p'jo seems to like using#i wrote this with a big break inbetween so it might be sort of scatterbrained but that's not unusual for me. my focus has shifted a lot#from the jealousy and marriage stuff to the agency stuff#dont rly know much about the jealousy and marriage stuff but the agency stuff is already very apparent and tied within the plot of the show#thaiql#thk#long post#just me ranting and an excuse to talk about bitter sweet symphony + bison. 𖹭#music

reblogging again for sample size and stuff, but also, noticing some data already in comments and tags and stuff, which ive typed a quick thought vomit of under the break:
also just as a header to this, this is a completely bullshit review of this data and is lacking a Looot of context and information necessary for a real review or study thatd honestly be pretty cool to actually try and put together but all that to say: what im about to say is all just shit im pulling out of the air around the data in this poll but also the stuff people are saying in the comments as well as assumptions i am making in reference to those comments. obviously, not gonna be the most accurate and may not be accurate at all. please dont fucking blow up my spot because i say something you dont like or you think im mischaracterizing something youve said. im just bullshitting a quick interpretation of information on my lunch break at work lol. anyways.
a lot of people talking about positive aspects of homeschooling talking about having one-on-one education with a parent, or having a tutor they had teach them, or having online curriculum they work through,
or talking about it as an option in reference to downsides of public school and problems in public schools.
which. the first set of data is interesting to me as having access to tutors, counselors, a parent always home, paying for an online curriculum, those are all class barrier things. like. i dont know a single person rn in my life who could afford literally any of those options. makes me wonder about the necessity in this dialogue of a differentiation between homeschooling with access to costly resources vs homeschooling for the average family who cant afford such resources. but at that point i wonder if its eventhe same conversation, or maybe even its some kind of branch off of the conversation comparing public schools to private schools
and the second set of data i already talked a lot about in that other post a bit ago which i can drop a quote real quick here rather than retype it again:
But the answer isnt withdrawal from society and isolate yourself to hide from it. The answer isn't a cabin in the woods. The anwer isn't removing yourself. The answer is to fucking Fix The Problem. The US is like. One of the only countries to have this level of school shootings. This is a fixable problem. And we all fucking know that bullying is also a fixable problem. They just haven't been fixed yet.
And not to get political but im about to get political, thats not me saying wait for them to be fixed. This is me saying Fix Them! You have the ability the capability the power to do so. Through a million ways. The people who should fix it aren't doing that? Get them out of that position. Fucking run for it yourself if you have to. If you cant, support someone who is who will be better for the issue.
Im not like a policy maker or some political genius or even too knowledgable on politics i dont even think our current political machine even fucking works but i think i get across what im trying to. just because public school has issues doesnt mean homeschooling is the answer. i think it means fixing public schools issues is the answer.
anyway, again, dont fucking blow me up for this im just trying to interpret the data and what im reading from people with very minimal information and taking a Lot of liberty with how im interpreting it.
please do keep passing around this poll, if you want pass around the one without this giant text block analysis if you have issues with it, it should be like one or two posts below this one on my blog.
anyways. thanks for coming to my T(umblr)ED Talk lol
Because of that last post I responded to, and just the general categories I've seen people fall into in these conversations, I'm curious:
Please reblog for sample size, deeply curious the demographics of this one

MY DBS MANGA CHAPTER 72 REVIEW... 😒
Hey there... Here comes the review.
Imma start like this and use language some ppl may find offensive. Goku, Vegeta, & Granolah are retarded. Now that that's out of the way, time to dissect this "Dragon Ball Super coloring book."
Goku & Vegeta land on the planet & its peaceful. How are they not immediately suspicious? They see that the planet isn't in danger & no death. Its obvious they need to ask a question to figure out what lies they've been told.
I was gonna say its dumb for Granolah to be able to supress his ki because it seems only Earthling have that kind of spiritual understanding. But Namekians have that spiritual understanding too so maybe Monaito taught Granolah how to suppress his ki.
I lost interest in the Heeters' past. You can only tease me so long until I stop caring. At least mention something like Freeza almost killed Gas on planet Cereal so now that's why Gas keeps trying to get stronger. There's so little info about "important" stuff that's supposed to be important. Give readers a tease, hint, a different hint, some valuable info, then another hint, then a reaveal (or something similar!) Instead its tease, hint, tease, tease, hint, tease...
In all honesty, the chapter didn't even need that page with Gas & Elec. When Maki said Gas & Elec are coming, that was all we needed to know. Then we anticipate their arrival in the next chapter. Showing them is a waste of time & they add no real purpose to the chapter. That was just a waste of ink.
Also I'm bored of Gas now. He only looks interesting but does nothing. 👎
Granolah shoots at Goku & Vegeta. Base Goku closes his eyes to use UI (UI Omen?) while Vegeta goes SS. Base Goku dodges easier than Vegeta. Goku is leagues beyond Vegeta.
A better way to have Goku & Vegeta encounter Granolah would be for him to snipe at them right when they get off the ship. Granolah wanted to kill them so bad so why wait for them?
Somehow they go towards Granolah but he's too fast for them & they lose him. They can't sense him firing ki for some reason. Idk why Goku didn't use Instant Transmission when Granolah shot ki at them?
I don't get why Goku closes his eyes either. Its as if Goku can't use UI now unless his eyes are closed but that wasn't the case before. Eyes were opend when using UI Omen & Mastered UI. Toyo could have conveyed that better but instead he's making Goku close his eyes like how Roshi covered his eyes when fighting those prisoner women because their beauty distracted him. Is Goku distracted by Granolah's beauty or something?
Wait a sec... I gotta backtrack real quick. Goku used the Ultra Instinct technique in his base & didn't go into Ultra Instinct Omen? But thats him using it in base right? Oh boy... This is about to get dumb...
Ultra Idiot Goku & Super Stupid Vegeta are surprised that the guy having the title of "strongest in the universe" is capable of moving faster than them when they aren't at full power. Such genius writing.
Goku gets shot in the neck... & it knocks him out... Ok. But later Granolah comments on how Goku's body moves on it's own before Goku can even process an attacks. Not to mention Goku & Whis have said the same thing. Goku should be untouchable at this point, but for some reason he is not.
So, Vegeta takes a senzu bean from his "training bra" and gives it to Goku. For some reason they decided to only take 2 senzu when knowing they would fight a guy possibly stronger than them. Stupid monkeys.🐒 (I'm starting to sound like Freeza now)
How did unconscious Goku eat a senzu? Yaoi fans would had loved it if Vegeta chewed the senzu up for Goku and fed it to him. Sorry, it just reminded me of Trunks spitting senzu mush into Mai's mouth since she was unconscious.
Then we have this dialogue from "sensei" Vegeta, The Ultra Instinct Expert...
"You rely on Ultra Instinct too much! If you haven't perfected it yet, then dodge using your mind!" - Vegeta
"Yeah, you're right..." - Goku
"WTF Toyotaro!" - DB Meta
... I'm unsure who is the stupid one in this situation. Is it Goku or Vegeta? It could be Vegeta because UI is the ultimate technique that allows you to move without thinking. But Vegeta says that because Goku hasn't perfected Ultra Inst-...
...
...
Sorry, I had to restart my brain...
Didn't... didn't Goku master Ultra Instinct? Silver hair? Silver eyes? MASTERED/PERFECTED ULTRA INSTINCT? Before that, Goku perfected Ultra Instinct Omen & could go in it at will... So, Goku is listening to Vegeta tell him he hasn't mastered UI? But both know that Goku did master UI? What does Vegeta know? Vegeta can't even use UI.
I almost stopped reading the rest of the colouring book when I got to that dialogue.
Also, Granolah wants to kill Saiyans, so why is he holding back and not hitting them with deadly attacks. He only needs one alive anyways. He said so himself.
At least there was a good pose Goku was in. The art looked nice there.
Now here's another place I almost quit reading. Granolah apparently has all the abilities of Goku & Vegeta. Hack writing. Sounds like a Moro, 7-3, & Cell copy cat. Toyo just cant leave the Cell saga alone.
Granolah is bumping his gums & rattling his tongue (old slang for "talking a lot") but when Vegeta asks if Granolah holds a grudge against Saiyans, Granolah suddenly says that's enough talking. He responded to them 3 times & spoke like 5 sentences to them. If you're gonna chat then chat. If you hate Saiyans then don't say anything to them & try to kill them. Dummy.
Granolah uses Hakai. But aparently he's not using Hakai or Instant Transmission. Its just "similar." Sure. Confirms that he has been using something similar to UI in previous chapters too.
Granolah says they're stronger than expected because they escaped into the air. Escape doesn't equal strenght. Mai escaped Goku Black, doesn't mean she's extremely strong.
But seriously, Vegeta saying he's gonna prove his training is better than Goku is stupid. He wants to prove he is better than Goku yet he tells Goku to fight first (that's beta). It's as if he isn't confident & wants Goku to wear Granolah out first, so he can come in and look impressive. Kinda like in RoF after Freeza was tired from fighting Goku & Vegeta wasn't tired at all & he easily beat Freeza up. Looked cool, but actually wasn't too impressive.
Granolah saying that he's gonna shoot them if they don't fight him is ridiculous. Why is he showing mercy to the tribe that didn't show his ppl mercy? Why give chances to the ppl you wanted revenge on for years? Realistically he would just start blasting at them.
Unecessary dialogue from Vegeta talking to himself about how he needs to learn who Granolah is. Show don't tell Toyo.
Why is Granolah waiting for the Oozaru form? Maybe he wants to kill them in that form? What about revenge? Just kill them.
Goku screamed to power up from SS to SSG. That's possibly dumb, but I gotta let at least 1 thing slide this chapter.
Why did Granolah let them power up? So unlike what we've been shown what Granolah is like. Why would he want to give "murderers" of his entire race a fair chance to fight him?
Next, Goku doesn't try to explain he isn't savage like other Saiyans when Granolah accuses his kind of being so. Instead Goku just agrees & says "Oh... Yeah." I guess he really just wants to fight. I can't tell if this is OOC or just magnifying a Saiyan flaw of Goku just to push the story along. Idk. I'm losing brain cells reading this chapter.
Granolah's fighting stance is cool. Hey, look. I said a nice thing. (But why is he doing close combat when being a sniper us his specialty?)
So, Goku uses UI in SSG form... Bruh, is Ultra Instinct a technique, a state of mind, or a transformation? I'll tell you what it is. ULTRA INSTINCT IS A PLOT DEVICE! It does whatever Toyotaro decides at the moment. So freaking inconsistent... 😓😒
Ultra Instinct becomes more accurate when in conjunction with a SS form?! How tho? I thought it was just a goldy technique that needed a clear mind and control or whatever. Or is UI a transformation like Toyo stated many times in previous chapters, while also calling UI a technique? How can mixing a godly "technique" with a SS form enhance it better than Goku simply using UI Omen? It doesnt! Vegeta, you can just shut up! Every time you talk about UI, you've been wrong! It should be illegal impersonating an UI Expert.
Goku is using the Ultra Instinct technique in base form against Granolah.
UI Omen is Goku using the Ultra Instinct technique in base form.
Goku uses Ultra Instinct technique in the Super Saiyan God transformation.
Mastered UI is Goku mastering the technique or maybe using the technique as a transformation? (Toyo is confusing.)
So why isn't Goku going into UI Omen when using UI in base? Why does Vegeta say "Ultra Instinct... becomes more accurate when used in conjunction with a Super Saiyan form"? Does that mean Mastered UI is a Saiyan form in conjunction with the Ultra Instinct technique? So, there's an unknown silver haired Saiyan transformation that Goku was utilizing in conjunction with Ultra Instinct? I guess this confirms that "Super Saiyan Blanco" is real y'all.
I suppose that if UI in base isn't the same as UI Omen, then by that logic, there is also an unknown "Super Saiyan Noir" form we haven't seen yet.
I'm done with Ultra Instinct in the manga. Toytaro doesn't know if UI is a technique or a transformation. I could explain it better than him, but I'm not tye one writing official material. Why should I make sense of his bad writing when he will change things later? HE should explain it clearly to US. He is extremely inconsistent with his explanations and will change them when he feels like it.
I dont care what Geekdom101 says about UI being both technique & transformation, because Ultra Instinct IS NOT a transformation nor a technique anymore. ULTRA INSTINCT IS JUST A PLOT DEVICE. 😑
[You can skip this little section. I'm talking about inconsistencies from the Moro arc]
I remember when I talked about how Moro's life draining powers were retconned multiple times.
Moro can absorb life energy from a planet while he is in outer space, then he is nerfed to only being able to take life energy by directly touching you, later Vegeta says they need to get off the ground because now Moro (who is stronger and fused with the planet) can only steal your life enrgy while making contact with you. He could absorb life energy from entire planets from space, but has to make contact with somebody once he got stronger?
Let's not forget it's said Moro drains life energy, but can't drain 17 & 18 because they say they don't have life energy. I guess that means Krillin had a daughter with a dead woman? No. Multiple times, 17 & 18 contributed to the Genki Dama (a collection of life energy). Goku gathers energy from trees, animals, ppl, everything living. This means 17 & 18 do have life energy because they are living beings. But the energy they fight with is unlimited artificial energy.
So if 17 & 18 can give life energy to Goku for a Genki Dama, then Moro should be able to take their life energy just like anyone else. What he can't take is their energy they use for battle because itsunlimited & artificial. Toyotaro does not understand this important detail nor does he understand many other details about these iconic character. So why is the the writer if he is getting so much wrong? Why is he not soley the artist?
Goku uses UI in SSG form to dodge a barrage of attacks from Granolah that are aimed at the planet. They must be weak attacks because the explosions are tiny. Is Granolah really trying to kill them?
Goku using UI in SSG but somehow gets caught off gaurd. Did UI just get nerfed so that Vegeta can look like he is on the same level as Goku in a later chapter? I think it did...
Granolah took Goku down a second time... Wow Goku, you kinda suck. In DBS CH 65 on page 11, after Moro broke his arm on UI Goku's chest, Whis said "When Ultra Instinct is honed to this extent, the body will automatically grow sturdier as necessary." Why is Goku holding back against the strongest in the universe? Oh yeah, that's right... UI is getting nerfed.
Vegeta, what do you mean "How is he learning Kakarot's weaknesses so quickly?" Everybody has similar vital spots in DB. Thats not learning, thats just knowing. Are you just a dummy, Vegeta? Do you not know where vital spots are?
Granolah can tell Goku's body is moving before his brain tells him to react. Granolah the UI "expert" can see all with his eye. You know who else can see with their eye? Tien. Speaking of Tien, I wanna go back to Earth now. What's Piccolo doing? I bet everyone on Earth is chilling or at work. Is it bad I'd rather watch Gohan at a conference than watch Goku, Vegeta, & Granolah be dummies? I'd rather watch Chi-Chi cooking with vegetables instead of watching vegetable puns fight a cereal pun. I'm sorry, the dialogue is just so bad...
How does Granolah's right eye being able to observe blood flow & muscle movements let you know where to strike? Dude, vital spots are where your organs are, & pressure points, & your head area, & you arteries, & so on. Ya ain't gotta observe blood flow to know that. Granolah just making stuff up now to sound cool. News flash, you failed. If he was sniping and able to track them based on blood flow and muscle movement, then that would had been smarter writing.
Granolah: "This right eye of mine is the sharpest in all the universe. It sees all."
Your eye sees all Granolah? Can you see past the Heeters feeding you bullcrap too?
Yo, where did Granolah's barely existing personality go? He wss once driven by revenge, and now the opportunity for revenge is right here in front of him & he's acting like he doesn't want it. If revenge is his only noticeable personality trait, what happens when you take it away? You get bland and dry Granolah.
So then Veget- hold on! Thats it! Granolah's name pun is granola because he is meant to be a bland character! I get it now! So all his moves must be cereal puns!
I never realized how genius this character is!
Detective Vegeta: "A tribe driven to extinction, known for their evolved right eyes... This is starting to sound familiar..." 🕵
Tien?! Oh wait... he said right, not 3rd eye. Jiren?! Oh wait, that's both his eyes... Jaco!? That's both eyes too... I give up.
Granolah's eye can tell that Goku is not using his full power, yet he can't tell he is being fooled by the Heeters. I think he needs new glasses or at least clean the revenge smear off of his monocle.
Granolah casually chats with a Saiyan who is one of the ppl he wants to kill. He would be better if he barely talked and just acted. Granolah should be like Iron Man in "Captain America: Civil War." Not trying to talk, just trying to kill because he is angry and wants revenge.
Goku: "Granolah, we don't work for Freeza & the two of us didn't attack your planet."
Granolah: "I dont care... Your people killed my family."
Boom! Gimme an award!
Back to the chapter 72 colouring book...
Granolah: "Hurry and get on with it. I have no duty to wait for your sake."
Yet you've been waiting all this time for them to arrive, fight them, chat with them, & even waiting for him to transform right now. You got time. You got 3 yrs to waste. You can chat for 10 minutes or so.
Granolah tells Goku that he doesn't have time to wait, then says "It's no skin off my nose to kill you where you stand." Then he waits for Goku to transform... Just kill Goku and be done with it already. Its not like Vegeta can win if Goku can't.
Granolah: "I dont have time for talk."
Goku: "Ok lets fight!"
Granolah: "Ok but, let me tell you about what my eye can do. I'm really proud of it. Mind if I talk a bit? So I sacrificed my life to defeat Freeza, the guy you're working for."
Goku: "What? You don't like Freeza? You're not a bad guy?"
Granolah: "Shut up Saiyan! You'll pay! Fight me!"
Granolah doesn't want to talk about Freeza all of the sudden when Goku implies they both have been tricked. Granolah becomes stupid just so the fight continues. There's a better way to keep them fighting. SHUT UP, GRANOLAH! If he talked less then convoluted stuff like this wouldn't happen.
Granolah yells "Take this!" He powers up instead of doing an attack... Why yell "take this" then power up if you aren't gonna attack right away? You even knocked Goku out of SSG, so now is the perfect time to finish him.
Blah blah blah, Goku goes SSB and they fight, blah blah blah.
Hey look! In my last review I said something about the planet should shake or be in danger from the battle. Looks like Toyo made the planet shake from the battle. Good job. I like this detail. Will it matter later on? Probably not.
Also, ya notice how god ki and god transformations are limited in this chapter? It seem they got too powerful for there to be any stakes. So we see Vegeta in base & SS. Then we see Goku in base, SS, SSG, base, & SSB so that false tension can build. Its smart but the dialogue doesn't compliment this smart tactic.
Aparently Vegeta doesn't care about the fight. Detective mode activate! (🕵) Vegeta standing in that Oozaru footprint looks like he's in Jurassic Park lol. But why did Detective Vegeta have to touch the footprint? He could had just looked at everything when he was high up and had a bird's eye view. Did Detective Vegeta taste the soil & gain knowledge by tasting the past?
Detective Vegeta: "I think I know who he is."
The Heeters said his name is Granolah, dummy. Shouldn't you say "I think I know what happened here." or something like that? Gimmie your detective hat, your trench coat, your bubble pipe, & you magnifying glass! You give detectives a bad name! I'll give this to somebody more deserving, like Jaco, Videl, Krillin, or Hit.
Did ya notice that Vegeta didn't get hit once but Goku who is using UI gets hit multiple times? Vegeta tells Goku to think instead of use UI? Oh yeah, this chapter was to pander to Vegeta fans. Toyo is poorly trying to convey he is equal or above Goku somehow. Like Vegeta mastered his training but Goku hasn't despite having mastered UI as a transformation thingy.
In conclusion, I was right. Freeza still hasn't been seen yet. Show a pic of him in somebody's thought bubble at the very least. This is all happening because if his influence y'all. Still no visual of Freeza yet... Whateva.
This chapter was wack. Too much unintelligent & unreasonable & unrealistic & unnecessary dialogue, plot went nowhere, Goku is being handicapped so the fight can continue, everyone are stupid idiots, Vegeta is being built up to lose his battle or get lucky & win. No image of Freeza still... This was just a very, very boring chapter.
I expect the next chapter to be boring too. Probably won't see Freeza either.
Prediction
Goku got knocked down twice by Granolah, Vegeta decided to fight second, Granolah said he doesn't need to keep Goku alive, & Vegeta told Goku he should stop relying on UI... Sounds like UI is getting nerfed & Goku is gonna need to be saved by Vegeta so that Vegeta can show off his Hakai training in comparison to UI.

"I kinda recently got into all this," she admitted, embarrassed. "Besides, you know modern interpretations aren't always accurate." She went on to explain that she had studied on her own after gaining an interest while on a shoot. She had relied heavily on scholars and modern practitioners of the old ways.
"I kept having this dream, and it lead me here," she shrugged. "Last thing I really remember was leaving the airport, but I dont know how long ago that was. I'm Fanndäs, by the way."

Clint moved carefully, trying to stay hidden. This tomb had been uncovered just a day before and the archeologists haven’t even gotten here. So it was ripe for the picking. He didn’t even consider that someone else would be here.
He moved quietly, testing each step before moving. But as he found the chamber, he froze. It was filled with treasures around a ritual chamber...but he wasn’t alone now.
