since im in an excited mood i will share som thoughts.. i do think carmen currently is trying to get dante(the company's?) attention or is at least keeping a closer eye on them than others. her narrating mirror worlds (on dantes tablet which Could be another game design thing they canonize) is one thing then theres the amount of distortions happening in their vicinity, which could be a coincidence, but what makes me think it the most is two abnos off the top of my head, sign of roses and drenched gossypium

both of these i feel could be connected to carmen in other areas but these specific aspects scream Look at me. sign of roses trying to "make its content known" specifically through an organ-shaped flower (a similar description to what meursault said about the red part of headless ichthys) is particularly interesting, as well as the "nostalgia" you(dante?) feel when waving back at it... another pointer dante knew carmen in their past life in some way maybe
