Timeline of Trump’s Assassination Attempts: From 2016 up Until His Declared Victory in the 2024 Election
June 18, 2016 – Michael Steven Sandford
While Donald Trump was campaigning at a rally for president in Las Vegas, Michael Steven Sandford, a 20-year old British man, attempted to size a Las Vegas Police Department officer’s pistol while asking for an autograph. After his arrest, Sandford stated that Trump needed to be stopped and that voices were in his head telling him to kill Trump. Sandford pleaded guilty on charges of, quote, “one count of an illegal alien of a firearm and one count of impeding and disrupting the orderly conduct of government business and official functions,” and was sentenced to one year of imprisonment. He was deported back to the United Kingdom on the 11th month of his sentence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
September 6, 2017 – Gregory Lee Leingang
While Donald Trump was campaigning at an oil refinery in Mandan, North Dakota, to rally support and possibly for issues relating to the Dakota Access Pipeline, Gregory Lee Leingang stole a nearby forklift attempting to flip Trump’s limousine. After his forklift got stuck in a fenced area, Leingang fled the scene. Authorities at the rally assumed it was for personal use until he confessed that he wanted to flip the limousine to kill Trump. He was sentenced to twenty years in prison for stealing a forklift, which includes separate cases of burglary and setting fires. He is set to be released in 2038.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
October 1, 2018 – William Clyde Allen III
Allen, a 39-year old navy veteran from Utah, sent ricin-laced letters with threatening messages were intercepted by mailing facilities, however several other letters had made it to the Pentagon. The letters directed towards Trump contained crushed castor beans and a cryptic note reading “Jack and the Missile Bean Stock Powder.” He was charged with one count of mailing a thread to the President and other charges of threatening to use a biological toxin. While not widely considered an assassination attempt, Allen allegedly knew that Ricin was lethal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
September 20, 2020 – Pascale Cecile Veronique Ferrier
Ferrier, a citizen of Canada, was arrested while trying to cross in Buffalo, New York, while armed with a firearm. Last week, a letter containing ricin was discovered by White House staff insisting that Trump should drop out of the 2020 US presidential race. Ferrier claims that Trump ruined the United States and that she had a special gift for him. She had also threatened to kill him with a gun if her demands weren’t met. However, she had pleaded not guilty to making these threats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
July 13, 2024 – Thomas Matthew Crooks
On July 3rd, Trump’s campaign announces that he will hold a rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, giving a 10 day window for Crook’s planning, which included a drone to scope the rally area out. Ten days later, the rally begins on topics relating to Biden’s immigration policy, and rally attendees start to notice the armed man on a sloped roof. Two minutes later, while Trump was speaking, three shots allegedly rang out, with one of them grazing his right ear. Trump was possibly saved from certain death by turning his head right before the first shot rang out. However, one rally attender was killed and two others were critically injured. Roof snipers return fire on Crooks, killing him. Meanwhile, Secret Service agents told Trump to get down, well after he did so. Trump insisted on getting his shoes, and after doing so, he raises his fist in the air, mouthing “fight, fight, fight” to a cheering crowd repeatedly chanting “USA”. A day later, the FBI identifies Thomas Matthew Crooks as a registered Republican, who allegedly donated $15 do a Democrat voter turnout campaign. To this day, there is still no known motive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
September 15, 2024 – Ryan Wesley Routh
Routh is known to have entered the general vicinity of Trump’s golf course near a tree line at around two in the morning. Twelve hours later, a Secret Service agent spots Routh pointing a rifle through a chained link fence and opens fire. The suspect then flees in an SUV and leaves behind two bags, a camera, and his rifle. Fortyfive minutes later, Routh is stopped by deputies while traveling north on Interstate 95 due deputies noting that his license plate was from a stolen vehicle. Routh is then taken into custody and is confirmed as the would-be-shooter, as he didn’t fire any shots. Routh was a former supporter of Donald Trump, but had became a Bernie supporter in the 2020 primaries after touching on Biden’s incompetence. He is particularly outspoken in his view of condemning Russia on the invasion of Ukraine, as he believed that Ukraine needed his help.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
October 12, 2024 – Vem Miller
Miller, a 49-year old man from Nevada, is apprehended at a security checkpoint while Trump was campaigning at a rally in Coachella, California. The driver identifies himself as a journalist but was arrested on speculations of owning loaded firearms. On him were a loaded hangun, ammunition, an unloaded handgun, fake drivers licenses, and fake passports. Due to two other recent assassination attempts, heightened security and multiple news outlets insist that this incident could be classified as an assassination attempt. Nevertheless, this claim was dismissed due to Trump not being at the rally. The suspect was subsequently released on a $5,000 bail that same day.

I am very angry and frustrated right now. My country is suffering from torrential rains that have left at least 200 dead in the southeast of Spain im the last 48 hours and dozens are still missing, all because of a meteorological phenomenon — a cold front — called DANA
There are many people trapped in their homes since the floods began, towns without water or electricity who cannot leave their homes because the streets are flooded or full of vehicles stuck together after being swept away by the water that impede the passage.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are many other people who have lost everything, their homes, their businessess... People sleeping in bus stations or inside their universities. The supermakets in the affected cities look like this, either a disaster or almost empty because people keep buying non stop anything they can eat
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But many executives and bosses expect their employees to go to work despite these circumstances because their lives are worth less than the shit that sticks to their shoes and the ONLY ones who are rebloging links to donate, asking others for help or volunteering to clean the streets or distribute food supplies are the people of my own country.
When there are floods or tornadoes in the USA we constantly see news about it on our channels and thousands of people retweet both inside and outside that country, they retweet the testimonies and cries for help, but we are just a vacation country, right? Almost nobody outside of Spain knows what's happening or talking about it. I have yet to see foreign celebrities or well-known streamers spreading awareness and it's so fucking frustrating the ones that give a single fuck are the ones who have less platform or money to help or those who are directly or indirectly affected by all of this
I am not saying what others suffer is less important or that people should stop talking about other country tragedies to focus on my country, but I think it's as important as if it happened anywhere else and our victims and affected people deserve to be heard too. And the worst thing? That many could have been evacuated safely if the government had not warned about the then upcoming floodings around 12 hours later than they should have. This is a negligence that has — and will keep costing in the following days — a concerning number of victims that could have been avoided otherwise.
Anyway, here are some threads in twitter explaining better than me what's happening and how others can help.
đŸ§”WHAT IS HAPPENING ON VALENCIA AND HOW YOU CAN HELP: #ArtistsForValencia
đŸ§” WHAT'S GOING ON IN SPAIN AND HOW YOU CAN HELP even if you live in a different country
Esto es lo que va a pasar: / This is what's going to happen: (a thread explaining how the government is going to blame each other and sweep under the rug their fucking disaster that was the management of this crisis instead of admitting how and why they're at fault for an increasing number of deads and affected families that could have been easily avoided or reduced if they had warned about the floodings on time)
Another reminder explaining how late the alarm was
"A drink for Valencia" campaign
Please keep in mind that some people in these threads explain themselves in Spanish, it costs nothing to click on "translate" to read it in your language. Thanks for reading and please share

Welcoming my new M'simbi doll
Tumblr media
Today I was pleased to welcome a new doll, Luyando! She comes from the brand M'simbi, which is based in the African country of Zambia.
I stumbled upon her a few months ago and was charmed by her uniqueness and her adorable look. I really like collecting dolls from foreign countries in my collection--I've got Canadian, Australian, British, Spanish, and German dolls, and they're all very special to me. Luyando didn't take long to arrive, though. She came from an Amazon warehouse based in the USA.
Her box gives some interesting background information about M'simbi dolls.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their mission is to inspire confidence and hope in young girls by letting them see themselves and their dreams reflected in their dolls. For every doll sold, M'simbi makes a donation of ZMK5 (Zambian Kwacha, the country's currency) to their charitable partner (ZMK5 is worth about $.19 in US dollars as of right now).
The last paragraph explains that the name "Luyando" means love. Zambia's official language is English, although most people there speak it as a second language.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luyando is an exceptionally beautiful doll, and she's made with good quality materials. She has an all-vinyl body, black curly rooted hair, and eyes that open and close. She's made with a nice soft vinyl that feels just a bit squishy. She has a very dark brown skin tone, more so than my camera sometimes shows here.
I was able to easily dress her in American Girl brand clothing and shoes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even with the vinyl torso, her proportions are pretty much the same as an AG doll. Her hands and feet are shaped the same as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her hair comes styled into two ponytails, but they were a little smooshed flat on the back from being in her box, so I tied it up with a cute ribbon. I probably won't do much playing around with her hair, since her curls are so lovely and I don't want to do anything to mess them up.
Here's the link to get your own Luyando on Amazon. You'll also see that the brand sells another doll, Limpo, and one that is currently out of stock, Lindiwe.

We're at the point in USA politics that little old ladies who come through my job are afraid that there is going to be some
"big cyber terror attack on election day that is going to take out all of the news channels and internet and it'll be pure chaos because we won't have any way to know who won, its really scary"
Like. Guys. Stop fucking fearmongering about how this election is going to decide the fate of the world. Trump is or is not going to be elected, and instead of being a doomer and scaring women in their 90s how about we all collectively take a deep breath, put down the doomerism, and actually do positive things in our communities and start making positive connections now before the election so you've got your community working together before shit hits the fan?
People are already doing that in my community:
shoes go 90% off at a store? Buying an entire cartful for $2 a pair and literally just giving them away to homeless people or donating them to the local shelter.
Legos and other fancy toys going 80% on clearance? Buying a whole case to donate to the children's hospital.
People are regularly just piling their cars full to bursting of clothing, blankets, and shelf stable food items and driving to North Carolina to help with relief efforts out of their own pocket with donations from random neighbors.
If you're absolutely terrified of what is going to happen with this election, then one of the ways you can help with the panic and the outcome is to literally just step away from the doom scrolling on social media and actually start engaging in a positive way with your local community.
Join local "buy nothing/ free things in x" neighborhood groups, and see if you can help people out.
See if there's a local food bank you can volunteer at or do food deliveries for.
Next time you're buying colored bell peppers at the store, or some tomatoes, plant the seeds in your garden (or rinse + dry them on a paper plate for spring if its too cold where you are) and grow them out and give the fresh veggies away-- they're some of the easiest beginner plants and are pretty much maintenance free once they're established.
Just ... Stop fear mongering.
Stop acting like the world is literally going to end in hellfire if Donald Trump wins the election.
He has a 50% chance of becoming President and no amount of doom posting is going to change that reality, so instead of terrorizing people, how about you take some actual steps now to help slowly make your community a better place and inspire others to do so as well before it's 'the end of the world' ?

Andrew was a young African-American man with short, curly black hair, a matching beard, and black eyes. At the time of his death, he wore a crimson-and-black suit over a white long-sleeved shirt with a blue patterned necktie, black dress pants, and polished black shoes. He also had a golden monocle on his left eye, and a golden pocket watch was tucked into his vest pocket.
When working for the Grimsborough PD, he wore a standard police uniform.
As per his suspect appearance in Worst of Wives and Worst of Women, it is known that Andrew exercised.
Synopsis
Andrew was the victim in Murder From The Past.
Before appearing as a victim, he was a suspect in the murder of RenĂ©e Murphy. He was a rookie officer in the GBPD with dreams of one day moving to Concordia to become a detective like his ancestor Issac Bontemps. He first met RenĂ©e when he responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at Adalet’s house. He found the Lieutenant and Will trying to get RenĂ©e to leave, but the woman was drunk and wouldn't listen. Andrew eventually managed to get her into his squad car with Adalet’s help and brought RenĂ©e back to her hotel room after Adalet chose not to press charges.
The second time Andrew dealt with Renée was after he responded to reports of her trespassing on private property in Maple Heights. The owners of the properties denied knowing the woman and wanted her arrested. But Renée tried to buy her way out of the charges, writing Andrew a $10,000 cheque to look the other way.
But Andrew refused to accept the bribe and began the process of charging RenĂ©e for her crimes. But the woman would never serve any time for trespassing as she would be killed before Andrew could lock her up. Andrew was happy to see justice being served but was sad that Adalet lost two of her loved ones because of it, even if her “mother” was an absolute bitch.
During the additional investigation for that case, Chief King ordered Jones and John to make sure Andrew hadn’t accepted any other bribes. Andrew admitted that RenĂ©e had sent him another cheque for $10,000 but claimed he left it on Adalet’s desk for her to deal with. After finding the cheque and having Alex analyze it, they discovered that Andrew had cashed it into the GBPD’s account as a donation from RenĂ©e. Andrew thought if the woman was willing to pay the police to try and escape prison, his station might as well benefit from the money. It was later transferred into the GBPD’s funding for the local children’s charity drive.
Jumping forward a couple of years, Andrew had moved to Concordia and was on his way to becoming a detective. Before moving, he met Reese Rochester through an online dating site. The two hit it off, and sparks flew as they bonded over shared interests and different ones. When Andrew arrived at Concordia, Reese was there to greet him at the airport with a welcome sign and hug.
After settling into his new life, Andrew decided to join Concordia’s Flying Squad Preservation Society. He had always been fascinated by his family history with the Squad and wanted to do his part to keep their memory alive. That is why he volunteered for the Flying Squad Museum Committee and worked alongside other descendants and historical experts to create a museum aboard the Flying Squad’s airship.
Of course, nothing could ever go smoothly, and countless problems arose during the months the committee worked on the museum. But they worked together to overcome the challenges and see their vision come to life. Sadly, Andrew wouldn’t live to see that vision become complete; he was murdered aboard the very airship they were working to convert into a museum.
In the weeks leading to his death, Andrew accidentally annoyed a few of his fellow committee members. First, he lost the order form for Alessia Dupont’s supplies for her inventions, delaying her work. But he made it up to her by getting the shipment expedited, so she got it ahead of schedule.
Then, he knocked over Orlando’s glass of wine when delivering some rolls of fabric to the designer. The wine stained the newly finished trench coat and caused Orlando to have to remake that section of the jacket. With so much pressure on the man to complete the replicas in time, Andrew decided to keep his distance to avoid further damage.
Lastly, when Andrew was babysitting Sara for Flora, he turned away for a second, giving the little girl enough time to dunk one of her mother’s figurines in a jar of red paint. Andrew tried to clean up the doll before Flora got home, but it was impossible to get the paint off. Flora was already very stressed, so after yelling at Andrew, she ordered him to leave before anything else got ruined.
His friends would later apologize for getting angry at him, and Andrew would forgive them, knowing that all the stress they were under was what caused them to snap.
Outside of the committee, Andrew faced a couple more issues. The first was when he discovered that his partner, Reese, wanted to propose to him. He was pleasantly surprised when he found the ring they had gotten for him, but he told them he wasn’t sure if he was ready for marriage. Reese respected his choice and promised to wait until he was ready to formally ask him to marry them.
The other problem he ran into was when Justine Dawson submitted a request to have one of her ancestors featured in the Flying Squad’s museum. He denied the request because that ancestor had done horrible things when he was alive, and he wasn’t even a member of the Flying Squad! While some non-members were featured in aspects of the museum, none of them had exhibits dedicated to them; those were reserved for official members only.
It would be this last altercation that would lead to Andrew’s death. Justine was furious at him denying her request, believing her family deserved to be honoured for their work on Concordia. Her rage was heightened by the fact that Issac Bontemps had killed her ancestor, and she hated how the Flying Squad, their families, and their descendants got to live happily ever after while hers had to suffer shame and ridicule. She vowed to avenge her family’s honour and get revenge for her ancestor’s untimely death.
So, Justine stalked Andrew for weeks to learn his habits and schedule to find the perfect time and place to kill him. And that place would be aboard the airship. She snuck in after him and drew her weapon. Andrew pleaded for her not to kill him, but Justine refused to listen. She pulled the trigger, killing him with the same gun that Issac had used to kill her ancestor.
Andrew couldn't believe Justine would kill him over an old family feud and a one-sided rivalry at that! But he was happy to see justice being served for his murder and Justine imprisoned for life. Maybe it was selfish of him to be happy to see her get sent to rot in prison, but she did the crime, so now she needed to do the time.
And while Justine spent the rest of her life in prison, Andrew would spend his time in the afterlife, finally able to meet the ancestor and Flying Squad he had heard so much about.

Trivia
When I first gave him the surname Bontemps, it was out of laziness. But after I realized I could use him and others as characters in the case Murder From The Past, I made him a descendant of Issac Bontemps
I haven't decided how he is a descendant of Issac yet; hopefully, I remember to do that while writing season 4!
I picked the name Andrew because I know a set of twins named Issac and Andrew, so I associate the names together

A Strong Case For Value Village in 2024
12 Years ago, Value Village was a godsent for me. For first office my job my budget was $100 for a full wardrobe, with Value Village it was accomplished easily. I could get shirts for a few bucks, pants for a few more and even get a couple nice blazers for around $10-$15. Fast forward to 2024, there are these new stores popping up everywhere called Value Village Boutique, I honestly didn't know what to expect. A curated Value Village? Sounds good to me.
However, if you do a quick good search you will dozens of examples of them marking up their products to outrageous prices and if you look in the google reviews you will see plenty of other customers complain about the same thing. My personal experience is similar. There are many items that are priced $30-$70 dollars if they have any sort of brand name attached to them. You would also be hard pressed to find a good shirt for under $10, although that is probably just inflation. When I see a clothing item at Value Village for $70 a part of me cries inside. If I were in the same position as I was 12 years ago and Value Village may still be an option but the "value" just wouldn't be as strong.
As Secondhand shopping has increased in popularity, so has the prices just as rapidly. Which makes me sad because the people who actually need these places for cheap clothing end up suffering, while hipsters post on social media about their finds. But, through closer inspection there is still strong case to shop there for the budget luxury consumer.
I am going to go out on a limb and say the people who are pricing these products are not nearly as knowledgeable about luxury products as the average Vintage or Consignment store employee. Therefore, I have found some pretty high end stuff for next to nothing. For example, I pick up a YMC camp collar shirt for $14, a pair of Paul Smith dress pants for $9, Made in USA Cole Haan Oxford shoes for $20, and a Coppley Blazer for $20. What does this tell me? When I see a Banana Republic Jacket for $50 and a Z Zegna one for $10, these people do not likely only know fashion based on what they see at the popular stores at the Mall OR they understand that most of their customers will not know what these brands are so they price it like any other item in the store. Either way, consumers like me, win. For the items that I purchased, I could find similar items at Vintage or Consignment stores for around 5-10 times the price.
I went on exactly 4 mass excursions of these stores and have purchased the above items plus a Champion Hoodie for $10. The total I spent was $63 CAD before tax. I did have to spend several hours searching, but for someone like me, that's the fun part. Additionally, if you become a member, they will send you coupons and you will also save 20% if you donate something (Don't abuse it!).
Are the things people say online true about this new boutique? In my experience, yes. Does it have carefully curated stuff that is much different than regular Value Villages? No. Is it still the best place to find a diamond in the rough for the best price? Absolutely!

Beyond Shoe Donation:
While shoe donation is at the heart of Lyttle Feet's mission, the organization's impact extends far beyond providing footwear. By addressing a fundamental need, Lyttle Feet catalyzes positive change in communities, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment. Moreover, the act of giving and receiving shoes fosters connections and strengthens community bonds, demonstrating the transformative power of compassion and solidarity.
Education and Awareness:
In addition to their direct outreach efforts, Lyttle Feet is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of footwear and the challenges faced by underserved communities. Through educational campaigns, workshops, and advocacy initiatives, the organization strives to spark conversations about social inequality and inspire others to take action. By shedding light on the root causes of footwear scarcity, Lyttle Feet aims to drive systemic change and create a more equitable society.
A Call to Action:
As Lyttle Feet continues to make strides in Shoe Donation and Social Change, their journey serves as a testament to the profound impact of small acts of kindness. However, the work is far from over. With millions of individuals still lacking access to adequate footwear, there is an urgent need for continued support and collaboration. Whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading awareness, everyone can play a part in creating a world where no one is left barefoot.
Conclusion:
In a world fraught with challenges, Lyttle Feet stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us that change is possible, one step at a time. Through their commitment to shoe donation and social change, the organization has not only provided tangible assistance to those in need but also ignited a spark of compassion and empathy in communities around the world. As we reflect on their inspiring journey, let us take inspiration from Lyttle Feet's example and strive to make a difference in the lives of others, one step at a time.

Growing Families step-by-step

Growing Families step-by-step
Tumblr media
Increasingly, gay singles and couples are thinking about raising families of their own beyond a pooch. Growing Families’ annual conference – this year in Sydney on 22-23 June – has become the go-to community hub for all those looking to build family – whether through donor eggs, surrogacy or foster care and adoption.
Growing Families is the only organisation of its kind that has the resources, expertise and contacts to provide 360 degree education and support for all those looking at alternative family-building, whatever their nationality or budget.
Some prospective gay dads have a friend or family member who offers to donate eggs or carry as a surrogate. Others locate a donor and make embryos locally, in the hope of matching with a surrogate. If unsuccessful, some ship embryos to a country with surrogates.
Many others head directly to international options to take advantage of the wider choice of donors and professional recruitment, screening and support of surrogates.
Sydney couple Tim and his husband Sasha (pictured above) leant on Surrogacy Australia to help find a surrogate. Two months later, their surrogate Lizzy came into their lives.
At the 2022 Growing Family Conference they decided to work with a US IVF specialist, which meant creating embryos across the Pacific. Lizzy would need to get her passport ready.
Thankfully, the first attempt worked and in February 2024, their baby boy Atticus was born in Sydney.
While always logistically complicated, these journeys often have many twists and turns.
Melbourne based social media sensation Scott O’Halloran (better known through his hilarious podcast Luke & Sassy Scott) and his partner Marcus wanted a surrogate prepared to carry twins.
Turning to Growing Families for support through the process, they were steered to the USA. While the wait for a surrogate was lengthy, their twins (as is common) decided to come early, necessitating a race to Amarillo, Texas to support their infant sons. You will hear more about these journeys in June.
Growing Families annual conference weekend will focus on local surrogacy & foster care, as well as surrogacy in North and South America.
Designed to give you realistic expectations of the process, costs and likely hurdles, there are lots of opportunities to talk to fellow intended parents, dads with kids, donors, past and future surrogates and hear from older kids.
There are social functions and a pub dinner. Wherever you are in the process – it’s a great way to kickstart your research, get support, connect with people who’ve walked in your shoes or celebrate family.
The best thing about this community is the friendships you make. The conference is a great way to start or cement those. So whether you are part way along, or still considering options, don’t miss this once-yearly opportunity.

A Pitchshifter interview with PETA2 somewhere I think pre or post none for all and all for one single
I found this off the psirecords old site under media and then interview
PETA2: Can you tell new PETA2 fans a little about how it all started and what makes you tick?
J.S.: Basically, we weren’t hearing the music out there that we wanted to hear. Thirteen years later, we’ve recorded nine albums, toured 25 countries, and started our own record label. Not bad for a bunch of punks on a crummy housing estate in the Midlands. What makes me tick? A passion for life!
Mark: We have all been possessed by music for a long, long time. Tours have included the Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest USA. Our aim has always been to get people to think and question everything.
PETA2: What issue involving animals is closest to your heart?
J.S.: My brother and I have always tried to involve our beliefs in Pitchshifter and often donate tracks for anti-fox-hunting compilations. I think education is the key for progress on the ethical treatment of animals. If people don’t know the full story, they won’t make an informed decision. As with everything, education is the key.
Mark: I despise animal cruelty in any form. Factory farming and seal culling make my blood boil.
PETA2: What was the event in your life that made you decide to stop eating meat?
J.S.: As I remember, it was The Smiths, Crass, and a bunch of punk bands—from the music, I got into the lyrics and then into the ideas. So music really sparked my interest in animal issues.
Mark: I bought the Meat Is Murder album by The Smiths. The track “Meat Is Murder” begins with herds of animals screaming before they are slaughtered. After that, there was no turning back.
PETA2: How did your friends and family react when you went veg?
J.S.: I think I was 15, and Mark was 17 when we first dropped the bombshell on our family and friends that we weren’t going to be eating meat anymore. I remember them all looking at us like we were insane, but we slowly won them over, and they came to accept it. The irony now is that a lot of my friends and family have gone veggie or eat way less meat for health reasons. So you could say it got them in the end.
Mark: At first, people just think it’s something you do to be cool, just a phase you go through. But that was 17 years ago, so I think people have got the message now.
PETA2: Does being veggie tie in with your other ethics and your outlook?
J.S.: Well, I just believe in trying to do the right thing. Human beings are the most complex, astounding, creative, energetic, persevering life form on the planet. We are so beautiful, and yet many of us choose to be so ugly to our species and so many others. It blows my mind. I just try and treat everyone and everything the way I would like to be treated.
Mark: Totally, being vegetarian goes hand in hand with wider environmental issues. If the world farmers farmed soya instead of cattle, then I believe the world could be fed. The world’s resources are being destroyed and people, governments, and countries need to make massive changes.
PETA2: How is being vegetarian different today than it was when you first made the choice?
J.S.: Well, these days, the food is great. These days, you don’t have to “miss out” to go veggie, you just have to realign your purchasing and you’re there. I am loving veggie hot dogs this month. Can’t get enough of them!
Mark: Going to restaurants is really good now, [before] as a non meat-eater, there would only ever be one or two choices. Now vegetarians are being taken seriously.
PETA2: You have been granted the power to change the world. You sit and consider the first thing that you would do. What is it?
J.S.: Well, if we’re going to go into the realm of fantasy, I will take it one step further: If I was given the power to change EVERYTHING and do anything, I would give everyone the knowledge of what it’s like to be everyone else, of every species. Kind of like a ‘day in the shoes’ of everyone and everything. I think if we had that kind of an insight into life, there would be a lot less cruelty going on.
Mark: I would eliminate world hunger and ban hunting.
PETA2: If people are reading this site and trying to decide whether to go veggie or vegan, what would you say to convince them?
J.S.: If nothing else (i.e., you don’t care about it ethically), think of your health. The surgeon general agrees that a diet rich in fruit and vegetables extends lifespan and facilitates a better standard of living. That ALONE should be enough reason. What do you need
a money back coupon and a free set of soup bowls!?
Mark: We are an intelligent species who have evolved to the point where we do not need to eat meat. DO something about it. Watch some films on animal factory farming, and you will be disgusted with the whole industry. Go veggie!

“DNA, The Kardashians & The Konsequences” by Marie Clare Jones
Marie Clare Jones explores the popularity of ancestry kits and the commercialization of DNA testing. It imagines how Kylie Jenner could introduce K-DNA kits through her brand, Kylie Cosmetics, and explore the implications of widespread DNA testing through a timeline linking DNA, the Kardashians, and its consequences. The project raises important questions about DNA ownership, commercialization, and ethical implications for the future, culminating in the creation of two spoof articles where children sue their parents for irresponsible use of K-DNA Kits. Overall, it offers and questions insights into the potential uses and ethical concerns surrounding DNA in a commercial context.
2) “How the Shein influencer trip marked a turning point in the brand-sponsored vacation trend” by Jenna Benchetrit
Shein, an online store that specializes in selling clothes and shoes, is one of the largest retailers with $100 billion in sales in 2022. Known for its extremely low prices, the online shop sources directly from China. Like other fast fashion companies, Shein has faced criticism for poor working conditions, high levels of toxins in its clothes (with no commitment to using standards), and extremely high CO2 emissions (source: https://time.com/6247732/shein-climate-change-labor-fashion/).
The article discusses Shein's attempt to "greenwash" these criticisms by sponsoring and paying influencers to visit a "fake" manufacturing facility, in the hopes that they would promote Shein as "not as bad as everyone thinks." However, this move sparked a huge backlash and controversy for the influencers. This situation is critical as it highlights how such companies try to improve their image without making substantive changes.
3) “Dirty Laundry” by  Carole Frances Lung, Aditi Mayer, Minga Opazo, Alicia Piller, and Sommer Roman
The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art held an exhibition called "Dirty Laundry" focusing on the problems of fast fashion. Fast fashion makes lots of cheap clothes quickly to keep up with trends. This leads to waste and harm to people and the environment. The works in "Dirty Laundry" highlight critical design aspects by making people think about the problems of fast fashion. They use creativity to show how this industry harms the environment and people. By raising awareness the exhibition encourages viewers to think differently about the clothes they buy and the impact of their choices.
4) Smog Free Project by Daan Roosegaarde
Led by Daan Roosegaarde, the SMOG FREE PROJECT is an urban innovation project that showcases the aesthetic value of clean air. Roosegaarde crafts SMOG FREE RINGS from compressed smog particles gathered from the SMOG FREE TOWER (world's first smog vacuum cleaner which creates clean air parks). You can donate the city 1000 m3 of clean air by sharing the SMOG FREE RING.
It is currently included in the permanent collections of the National Museum of Zurich, Utah Museum of Fine Arts USA, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and The Biosphere Environment Museum in Montreal.
5) Solar-Powered Jacket by Vollebak:
The Solar Charged Jacket is made of a highly adaptable material that can be quickly charged and made to glow in the dark by any kind of light you can find. For example, a phone flashlight can be used to draw on it. You can use sunlight to charge it. If it is fully charged it glows completely. The piece deals with fashion's functionality and sustainability while presenting creative responses to environmental issues.

Dear Family and Friends:
How are you and your family doing this fall?
Here in Ukraine, we have had a warm, sunny, pleasant fall. This is unusual; November in Ukraine is usually cold, and sometimes in November we have snow.
We are doing well, but it has been a rough month and a half. At the end of September Oksana got sick, and then a couple of days later Emma got sick. The doctor came to our house and, after some testing, confirmed that Oksana and Emma had COVID. Oksana was sick for 8-9 days before feeling better and then she got sick again for another 8 days. We were thankful that her mother was able to come to our home to help us with Emma. Both Emma and Oksana were feeling better for 2 weeks, and now at this moment Emma and Oksana are sick again. So, it's been a rough month. As for me, I have been strong and well except for a little cold off and on.
Emma is already 11 months old, and she is growing fast. On Dec 16th, she will be 1 year old. She is a blessing, and she is so cute!
At our YWAM base in Ternopil, we celebrated Thanksgiving with all the volunteers and staff. Around 60 people came for the Thanksgiving dinner at our base. There was good fellowship with friends and colleagues.
Every Thursday evening, I help at our YWAM base feeding refugees, as I have mentioned in previous newsletters. There are around 70-100 refugees who come and eat a warm meal prepared by our YWAM cook. We always have a speaker – either a guest speaker or one of us staff members - and a month ago I was asked to share my testimony. I really enjoyed doing that, and people were attentive and engaged.
I have continued to do organizing and cleaning at our YWAM warehouse, and I have been helping one of my colleagues with securing and shipping sleeping bags to the frontline soldiers in Eastern Ukraine. We did several trips with the ministry van, and we have been sending sleeping bags as well to a church in Eastern Ukraine to help families stay warm in the houses that got flooded and damaged there. We are sending these sleeping bags ahead before the cold winter arrives, and soldiers are asking for them, as well, because they sleep in cold trenches. So, with all these activities, I am staying busy.
Our next newsletter will be in February. I am going to the U.S. in January for 3 weeks to get my new driver's license and to visit my parents. My dad is in a nursing home, and my mom is in assisted living.
Prayer and Personal Needs:
Please pray for our family to stay healthy, especially Oksana and Emma. It's been difficult, and we are tired of being sick.
Financial support for our family for needs like diapers, baby wipes, Formula, and clothes for Emma. (Emma's summer clothes, shoes, and sandals sizes are 18-21. Her Fall and Winter clothes, shoes, and sandals sizes are 21-24 months, and her Spring and Summer clothes, shoes, and sandals size is 2T. If you wish to send some of these items, they can be sent to: Yevgena Konvaltsia St. 9/116 Ternopil Region Ternopil 46020 Ukraine.) We also pray for increased support for daily expenses.
Please pray for my safe travel in January to USA.
Please pray for our daily ministry to be a blessing to all and a witness to the love of Jesus for all.
Please pray for, and consider contributing to, our home purchase. Given the political situation here, we are on hold for purchasing a house. The donated funds are deposited in a bank as a Restricted Fund for our eventual purchase of a home. The taxes on those gifts have already been paid.
We as a family want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season. Have a great holiday season! We have so much to be thankful for! God is good, and He is with us always. He is our biggest gift, and we owe Him our gratitude. He is with us in the difficult and in good the times, and He loves and cares for us.
If you can contribute financially to our ministry, please write checks to:
YWAM Accounting and, on a separate note, please specify that the funds should be designated to: Rosen Klepel. The address for YWAM is: YWAM Accounting/PO Box 3000/Garden Valley, TX 75771. or to: https://give.ywamtyler.org/s/donation?missionaryId=7015f000001K7in. You can donate also through our website rosenandoksanaklepel.com. All donations are tax-deductible.
Thank you for your prayers, support, love, and care!
In Christ,

How to Style Your Sneakers Collection
Sneakers are coveted staples in every man’s wardrobe. Some men even collect them and display their collection on their wall. Others even have entire wing of their house dedicated to sneakers.
Founded by husband and wife duo, this USA sustainable sneaker brand has one of its founders stationed in Asia to monitor ethical manufacturing practices. They also plant trees for each pair sold.
Brands
The fashion industry needs to rethink sneakers, which are among the most wasteful products on the planet. The leather industry needlessly kills over a billion animals per year, and the tanning process uses dangerous chemicals like cyanide and arsenic. In addition, sneaker production uses huge amounts of oil and energy. To make matters worse, the footwear industry is a major producer of greenhouse gases.
Fortunately, there are some companies that have made it their mission to create sustainable sneakers. New Balance is a fan favorite for their Fresh Foam line, but they also offer classic styles that appeal to athletes and everyday people alike. Their basketball shoes have even been embraced by streetwear brands like Stone Island and KITH.
Another brand that focuses on sustainability is HOKA. Founded in 2009, they use a foam-like sole to create extremely comfortable running shoes that are ideal for ultramarathons or just a stroll around the city. Their cult-following is growing with endorsements from top athletes like Nicole Spirig and Javier Gomez Noyo.
Unlike other sneaker companies, which produce their own shoes in the US, Saola makes them through a factory in southern China. One of the founders is stationed in Asia to monitor factory conditions, and they partner with TerraCycle to recycle the raw materials. They’re also a member of 1% for the Planet, and they donate any shoes that can’t be reused to Soles4Souls. Check out more collections : https://uniquestylebk.com/
Styles
While high heels may dominate the red carpet, when it comes to everyday style, sneakers reign supreme. A well-chosen pair can help elevate denim, dresses, and everything in between. Whether you’re on a casual coffee run or heading to the office, a good pair of sneakers is essential. Here are a few styles to consider.
The best sneakers aren’t always the most expensive. In fact, you can often find great deals on classic sneakers from brands like Converse and Adidas. These sneakers come in a variety of colors and designs, so you’re sure to find the perfect pair for your wardrobe.
Another way to make your sneakers stand out is by adding a unique print. Boston-based Concepts collaborated with Nike SB to create an ode to, of course, lobsters. The result is a fun take on the Dunk Hi silhouette with an eye-catching orange upper that’s textured to mimic everyone’s favorite giant water bug.
Sneakers are also a staple of streetwear culture. Many sneakers are made of cloth or synthetic substitutes with rubber soles, which makes them versatile for sports and regular wear. Often, these shoes feature printed designs that are popular among fashion lovers. Some of these sneakers have even been worn by celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Rihanna. If you’re looking for a good deal on sneakers, be sure to check out online retailers like Amazon and eBay. They offer low prices and a wide selection of styles.
Colors
When it comes to sneakers, color is a big part of the equation. There are certain colors that go better with certain outfits than others, but it’s really up to the individual wearer to decide what looks best. Sneakers come in a variety of different hues, and many of them have interesting patterns or details that set them apart from other shoes.
Whether you’re looking for a casual pair of sneakers to wear with jeans or want something more stylish for a night out, there are plenty of options available. There are also sneakers for both men and women, and they are available in a wide range of price points. Typically, the more expensive ones are made with higher-quality materials and are designed to last longer than other sneakers.
The newest sneaker trend is colorful sneakers, and there are lots of fun choices to choose from. If you’re new to this type of shoe, it’s a good idea to start with a neutral color like white or grey. These colors will go with most of your outfits, and they’re easy to match with other pieces of your wardrobe.
In addition to the usual colorways of classic Nike silhouettes, there are a few special collections that are only available in specific colors. These include the limited edition Doernbecher Freestyle sneakers, which are made by Nike in collaboration with children at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, and the Raf Simons-designed Air Kukini.
Price
Sneaker collecting has become a hobby for many people. It can begin with one pair of shoes that you love and then snowball into a search for all the sneakers in a certain line. It can also be a way to keep up with the latest hype releases and flex on your friends. In addition, collecting sneakers can be a great way to express your creativity and style.
The price of sneakers is a major consideration for those starting a collection. They can be expensive and require special storage. They should be stored in a cool, dry place with proper ventilation to prevent mold and other damage. In addition, they should not be exposed to direct sunlight as this can cause discoloration. Keeping your collection clean and organized is important for maintaining their value and for reselling them later.
Some sneakers are designed to be collectible, often with a limited release or designer collaboration. This makes them more valuable than other sneakers. For example, Kanye West’s Nike Yeezys are worth thousands of dollars. This makes collecting sneakers a lucrative hobby.
The popularity of sneakers as a collector’s item has given rise to a number of resale websites, which treat them like Wall Street stocks. Some sneakerheads queue outside stores in the hope of getting a new drop, while others use software to buy up new sneakers before they hit the streets.

Zelensky, Hero or Anti-Christ?
Tumblr media
Contrary to what the media has conditioned you to believe, Zelensky is by no means a hero and more likely Anti-Christ. Huh? He has become the Dark Angel of Death and destruction for the entire world. And it’s all because Ukraine refuses to honor the Minsk Agreement signed in 2015. As a result, he is willing to destroy Ukraine all for the chance of creating WW3 and destroying Russia. But his psychopathic efforts are failing miserably with the death toll of Ukrainian soldiers topping 250,000 with an additional 35,000 missing in action. And now his top General Valery Zaluzhny is having a serious conflict with Zelensky.   The German newspaper the Bild reported that General Zaluzhny has – weeks ago – called for a withdrawal from the Donbas city. He also told Zelensky to withdraw from Bakhmut. But the high heeled comedian president pretends that Bakhmut is a fortress.   This is in spite of the fact that the city has been completely surrounded by Russian troops and nearly impossible to evacuate. Even the compromised O’Biden administration has been urging Zelensky to pull out. But NOOOOO! That might hurt the billions that continue to flow into the giant “Black Hole” of the most corrupt nation on the planet. The Anti-Christ? Calling Zelensky the Anti-Christ might be a stretch. But when you consider the damage he’s already done and the possibility of drawing the rest of the world into his – and the USA's Proxy War with Russia -  millions, and possibly billions could die if nukes are used.   And many are calling him the Anti-Christ because he’s hailed by the Globalists – and their corrupt media – as a great leader. And incredibly stupid politicians, like Congressman Joe Wilson (Dem SC), is proposing to display a bust of Zelensky* in the Capitol building. (*Note: Prior to entering politics, Zelensky was a comedian whose routine included dancing around naked wearing women’s high heeled shoes)       To even propose that we put a bust of Zelensky next to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson simply shows how insane the world has become. Joe Wilson should be impeached. And every single member of Congress who has supported Ukraine needs to come clean regarding their political donations. Sad to say that will most likely never happen. In the meantime, the Banksters are cheering for war behind the scenes.   READ:  All Wars Are Bankster Wars  February 9, 2022 Why? It will enable them to make fortunes at your expense.
