Hello ! Can I ask the reaction of the kh boys with the little sister of reader ? when the little asks "Are you the boyfriend of my big sister ? She always talks about you !!", Reader becomes a mess after that, thanks in advance !
When your little sister tells him that you like him. (KH boys x female reader)
(Warning: Nothing but fluff.)
âWhat do you mean I canât come?â Sora said frowning. âBecause this is a meeting for keyblade masters only. There is a lot of things we have to discuss.â Riku said. âThatâs not fair! Iâm just as strong as you Riku!â Sora said acting like a child. Aqua whispered something to Riku. Something about Soraâs crush on you. âOh yeah. Definitely...â Riku said smiling. âWhy canât I go?â Sora asked frowning. âIâm sorry Sora. But,this is really important. If it makes you feel better. I can ask (Y/n) if she wants to come back with us.â Aqua offered. Sora nodded. He saw them leaving. But Sora was so desperate to see you.
âWak?! What are you doing Sora?!â Donald asked. âIâm seeing master (Y/n)! Because I havenât seen her in months and itâs driving me crazy!â âBut Sora we have to go to other worlds. Luxu is causing trouble.â Goofy said frowning. Sora sighed. âPlease just let me see (Y/n). Sheâs my light through the darkness. I have to see her just for a little bit.â Sora said looking down. Because he hadnât seen you in months. Donald and Goofy told him yes. So,he followed Riku to Castle Oblivion. Only Sora was early. âAre you Mr. Sora?â A young girl asked. âOh? Itâs just Sora. This is Donald and thatâs Goofy.â Sora said. âMy sister talks about you a lot Sora! Are you her prince?â She asked. âWell, Uh....â Sora began. â(Y/n)! Your Prince is here!â She yelled running to go get you. âPrince?! What are you talking about?!â You asked. That was when you saw Sora. âWhat are you doing here? I thought that you were traveling to other worlds.â âSora couldnât stop thinking about you. He missed you a whole lot.â Goofy said smiling. âGoofy stop it.â Sora whispered blushing. âShe missed you too! (Y/n) has been checking her mailbox and messages every day! Waiting to hear from her prince.â Your sister said daydreaming about you and Sora. She reads too many fairy tales. âIsnât she just the cutest? Why donât you make flower crowns in the garden?â You asked. She smiled and skipped away. You sighed in relief. âSora? Why canât you listen?! Youâre supposed to make sure that the worlds are in order.â Riku said frowning. âLetâs give him a break. Iâve been away from my friends for so long. I know how it feels to miss someone special.â Aqua said. âOkay....But no listening in on us.â Riku said frowning.
Sora was waiting for you to come out. What was this important meeting for? Why couldnât he join in? He knew a lot of things about the keyblade. Sora was getting closer to the door. âI donât think you should do that.â Donald said frowning. âYou look bored....want to listen to (Y/n) singing?â Your sister said smiling. Sora nodded. She lead them to the library where she then grabbed a book. It had a secret compartment with a CD inside. She put inside her pink CD player. Sora listened only for a minute before you walked in. âThere is plenty of books in here. There has to be something about the dandelions in here.â You said opening the doors. That was when you heard your unreleased music. You ran up to her and turned off the player. âWhat did I say about not showing this to anyone?â You asked frowning. âBut, your prince wanted to...hear your beautiful voice.â She said on the verge of tears. âJust donât do it again...â You sighed.
After Roxas finished his mission he saw you with a little girl. âWhat would you like for lunch?â You asked her. âI want a waffle!â She said. You shook your head. âI donât think mom and dad will like that. How about we get a sandwich or some pizza?â You asked. âAw! I donât like pizza!â She said pouting. âHi (Y/n). Who is this?â Roxas asked. âThis is my little sister.â You said telling him about her. âOh? Hi there....Iâm Roxas.â He said smiling. âSo youâre Roxas? Itâs very nice to meet you.â She said smiling. You didnât realize that she pair you up with Roxas. You bought your sister lunch and she the purposely dropped her sandwich on her lap. Ruining her pants. âIâll go get some napkins.â He said going to the food truck. âIs he your boyfriend?â Your sister asked you. âW-what no way! Roxas and I are really good friends!â You said. âSure you are.â She said not really falling for your lie. âWe are!â You said. âWe are what?â Roxas asked coming back with the napkins. âWell, Uh...weâre good friends.â You said looking away. Your face felt hot.
After that the three of you sat on a bench and ate lunch. âDo you mind watching my sister for a minute? I have to get a drink from the water fountain.â You asked. It wasnât that far from them. But far enough for you not to hear.âNo. Go ahead.â He said. That was when your sister wanted to talk about you. âDo you like my sister?â âOf course I like her. Sheâs a really good friend.â He said. âNo. I mean do you love her?â âLove?â Roxas asked. Well, he did kinda know about love. It was just he was unsure if he could love you or not. He didnât have a heart. Thatâs why he had to do these dangerous missions. âI donât know.â âShe talks about you all the time. She goes on and on about your lunch dates. Asking me how she looks for the day.â She told Roxas to come closer and he did. âShe likes your hairstyle and how you ask her about feelings. Even though sheâs confused about it.â She whispered. âOh?â He asked frowning. He thought that you got annoyed when he asked questions about the heart. âHere...itâs an embarrassing picture of (Y/n).â She said handing him a photo of you eating some ramen noodles. You didnât know that the person was taking a photo of you. So you looked surprised. In a cute way though. Roxas smiled. You were so cute. âQuick hide it.â She said frowning. Roxas put it in his pocket. âWere you talking about me?â You asked frowning. Because your sisterâs look on her face looked like trouble. âNo.â She said smiling.
You said your good byes and walked away with your sister. âWhat did you say to him?â You asked frowning. âNot much. Just what you think about him.â She said smiling. âWhy did you do that?â âBecause I wish for your happiness! You go on and on about how cute Roxas is anyway.â She said. âWhat?! How do you know about that?!â You asked. âI hear you in your sleep. Oh Roxas....â âStop that.â You said feeling your face get hot. Thankfully Roxas didnât hear any of this because he was too busy looking at the photo. You were too cute even when you were embarrassed.
Ven was waiting for you to come and visit again. Because he needed help learning a new move. You couldnât use a keyblade. But, you were always there for support. That was what he needed. He was getting sad and angry. Ven knew that he could learn this attack. But,he realized that he needed you to watch him. Because you gave him confidence and strength. He looked out his window to see a gumi ship land. He had to make sure it was you. He ran outside to the courtyard to wait. He frowned upon seeing Sora exit the ship. âWhereâs (Y/n)?â He asked. âOh? (Y/n) couldnât make it. She had to watch her sister. So I will be filling in for her. What do you need help with?â Sora said smiling. âNo offense Sora....but,I kinda need (Y/n)âs help.â Ven said frowning. âWhy? I can handle training. She taught me everything she does.â Sora said. âItâs just Ven has a crush on (Y/n). So he was hoping that she would be here today.â Terra said. Sora picked up his gumi phone. âWho are you calling?â Aqua asked. â(Y/n). I have to tell her that you miss her. So you can talk to her.â Sora said smiling. âWhat?! You really donât have to do that Sora.â Ven said blushing. âI am your older brother Ven. And as your older brother I know whatâs best for you. Talking with (Y/n) will make you feel better.â Sora said smiling. He handed Ven the phone. Ven took it from him.
âH-Hi...â Ven said shyly. âHi are you Ventus?â A young girlâs voice came from the other side of the phone. âYes. Is (Y/n) there?â He asked. âSheâs busy at the moment.â She said. âHow do like your pancakes sis?â You asked from the other room. âFluffy. Very fluffy.â She said. âCan I take a message?â She asked. âJ-Just tell...â Ven began. âTell (Y/n) that Ven is missing her.â Sora said getting closer to the phone. âOkay I will. Oh, and by the way (Y/n) canât stop talking about you. This morning I knocked down a photo of you. She got very upset and told me not to play hockey in the house.â She said. Oh no. It was probably that photo when he was reading a book. You suddenly took a picture of him and he blushed. Because Terra and Aqua were talking about his talking about his crush on you. Thankfully you were paying more attention to your camera angle than him. Ven was a bit surprised that you kept that photo of him.
âBreakfast is ready.â Ven could hear your sweet voice. You must have realized that your sister had your phone. âWho are you talking to?â You asked. âYour boyfriend.â âHeâs not my boyfriend! Give me that phone.â You said chasing her around the house. Ven blushed and hung up the phone. Because you sounded like you were embarrassed. You sounded cute. But,he didnât want to worry you. Ven shook his head and chuckled. Hoping that youâll come and visit soon. Because he couldnât wait until he could see you again. For now he wasnât going to give up on that move. He was going to learn it and make you happy.
You were extremely busy and Riku was worried. Because you and stress donât mix. So he came over to your house with a movie and some of your favorite snack foods. He knocked on the door. You didnât open up. But,your sister did. âHi. Is (Y/n) here?â He asked. âYes. Youâre Riku. Right?â She asked. âYeah.â âCome on in. Sheâs probably just reading Iâll go get her. You can sit down if you like.â She said running to your room. Riku took her up on that and sat on the couch. âSheâll be here in a minute. Do you want me to tell you a secret? (Y/n)âs got a new boyfriend.â She said smiling. âWhaaat?!â He asked her surprised. How could you get another boyfriend so quickly? This concerned him. Because of how you are. âItâs true. The other day she was acting weird. Asking if sheâs cool enough. I think thatâs why sheâs been acting so weird.â She said.
Was that the reason why youâve been busy? Riku had a weird look on his face. He had a really weird daydream upon hearing a motorcycle outside. âThis is my new boyfriend. Snake! Isnât he so cool!â You said smiling. âHey man.â He said. âSnake says that heâll buy me a motorcycle for my next birthday.â You said getting excited. Hearing you say this scared him so much. Because you were clumsy. Cute but, very clumsy. This daydream almost gave him a heart attack. âAre you okay?â She asked. âYeah. Just a little worried about (Y/n). Do you know anything about her boyfriend?â Riku said trying to get information. He didnât want to lose you again. âActually yes. She says that sheâs too clumsy for him and sheâs unsure if he even likes her back.â âNot this again...I really need to talk to her.â Riku said getting up. He really didnât want this guy to hurt you again. So he had to tell you that youâre great just that way you are. But, you came into the living room. âHi. Sorry I took so long. I had to finish up with something.â You said sitting on the couch. âWriting letters to your boyfriend...â She said. âStop it.â You said frowning.
Riku put the movie in and your sister left the room. Because she didnât like that movie at all. You werenât enjoying your favorite snack foods at all. This worried Riku a bit. It fact. It drove him crazy. He couldnât take it anymore. So he paused the movie. âWhat did you do that for? Itâs the best part.â You said frowning. âWhat makes you think that you have to change for someone?â He asked frowning. âRelax dude....Lets just watch the movie.â You unpaused it. Riku paused it again. â(Y/n)?â He asked. âFine. Because heâs amazing and Iâm just clumsy and weird.â âYouâre not weird. I like the way you act. Youâre fun to be around.â He said. You frowned. âAre you being honest? Or are you just telling me that?â You asked. âIâm being honest with you.â He said looking at you. You smiled. â(Y/n) and Riku sitting in a tree...â Your sister sang but, you threw a pillow at her.
Your sister was staying the weekend with you. Because she hasnât seen you in months. âTerra I want a piggy back ride!â She said jumping. âOkay. Get on up.â He said smiling. You didnât like that Terra was giving your sis attention.You didnât know why she was acting like this. But you didnât like it. So you spied on them. âHere you go itâs star shaped.â He said giving her something. âLetâs share it.â She said smiling. âNo!â You yelled jumped out of the bushes covered with leaves. They looked at you while holding their sandwiches. âWe were just sharing lunch. Did you want me to make you a sandwich too?â He asked. âYes please...â You sighed in relief. That was when your sister thought of a plan. â(Y/n) can you please give me my favorite coloring book? Pretty Pretty please....â She asked you looking adorable. You were going to say get it yourself. But, you didnât want to look bad in front of Terra. So you went to your room and began looking for her coloring book.
She waited for you to leave before taking out the coloring book. âWait a minute. Is that your favorite coloring book?â Terra asked frowning. âYes it is.â She said smiling. Terra was going to tell you that you are wasting your time. But, your sister clung onto him. âPlease donât tell her. I have a secret of hers. Itâs a good one. Iâll tell it to you.â She said. âIâm not interested in secrets or gossip.â He said frowning. â(Y/n) has a crush.â She said smiling. Upon hearing this Terra began to worry. Who was your crush? Why didnât you tell him? âWhat?â He asked frowning. âMy big sister has a crush. She goes on and on about him.â âDid she say his name?â He asked. Terra had so many questions about him. But, most importantly was he going to take care of you?
You came back empty handed. âI couldnât find it. But,I found your sketch book.â You said handing it to her. Terra looked at you. âTell me about your crush again.â She said. âI rather not.â You said frowning. âTerra can you please take me to the library?â Your sister asked. âOkay.â âCan you give me a piggyback ride again?â She asked him. âGet on up.â He said smiling. Obviously your sister was trying to make you jealous....and it was working. You wanted to share a sandwich with Terra and you wanted to sit in the library with him. This was going to be a long weekend. Oh,well your sister was only staying for the weekend.
It was a rainy day and like most rainy days. You sat in your usual spot. In your favorite cafe with your younger sister. âThis place is so cute.â She said smiling. âThatâs why I love it so much.â You said looking out the window. Daydreaming about them. You were in the park sitting by the lake. The sunset was so beautiful. That was when you saw Yozora on the other side of the lake. You got up and ran up to him only someone stopped you. â(Y/n) where are you going?â A familiar voice asked. You werenât sure about this. If you turned around he might disappear again. You missed him so much it was painful and yet when Yozora was with you. All that pain melted away. You didnât know what to do. You loved them both. âWho is that?â She asked looking at the man approaching you. âHuh?â You asked looking at him.
âThis is Yozora. Yozora this is my sister.â âAre you two together? Because my big sister talks about you. But,not as much as she talks about Noct. She goes on and on about him.â She said smiling. You looked down feeling sad. âSis letâs take our things and go....â You said frowning. You didnât want to bring up anymore daydreams or memories of Noct. At least not right now. âBut,we just got here. We didnât even get our muffins yet.â She said frowning. âHow about we get some waffles instead?â You asked grabbing your umbrellas.âWait. Is there something wrong?â He asked frowning. âItâs not you...itâs just. I miss someone dear to me. Thatâs all...â âOh. Would you like to talk about it?â He asked. Your sister looked at you confused. âNot at the moment.â You said frowning. You thought about it and you decide to stay. Maybe spending time with him will make you feel better. It usually does. âOkay letâs get those muffins.â You said sitting back down.
You spent the rest of the day with him and your sister. You could hear people say. âWhat a cute family. Their little daughter is so cute.â âShe looks like her mother.â You shook your head. Did you actually look like a family? You took one look at Yozora. He was holding his umbrella at paying attention to your sister who was jumping in puddles. Did he hear what people were saying? You didnât know. But, your sister did. âMommy! Can we please go to the park?â She asked kinda loud so people could hear. You shook your head embarrassed.

I apologize for disturbing, but I would ask one question. Given that you comment on the Ducktales reboot, the last episode I watched was pretty disappointing for me. I don't understand why they changed Donald's voice. Is it okay for you to change his voice in unnecessary moments or not? Somehow his change of voice is unnatural, I like him with his duck voice. Somehow it seems to me that the Ducktales reboot crew somehow do not respect Tony Anselmo as far as I can see.
My opinion is that the dt17 crew is very uncomfortable with the duck voice.
It feels very much like theyâre stuck with it because itâs Donald Duck and his voice in animation is iconic but they want to write for a ânormalâ voice.
Now, I am someone who grew up with the Duck comics, not the cartoons, so I never considered Donald to have a âduck voiceâ. But-
If they had to use it they should have put more thought into it. It feels very much to me like they just hate it and canât think of a way to fit the duck voice into the scripts they wanted to make so they just get rid of it or mock it and write Donald as incomprehensible.
They want Donald to speechify about his family but canât make it work with the duck voice so they just remove it, instead of figuring out how to make the character convey these sort of things with the voice he has. You need to adapt your writing for the duck voice, but they werenât prepared to do that. Anselmo has spoken about how he was willing to go through the scripts and help them to be more fitting for the voice, telling them where it would be good to change phrasing for example to remove sounds that made Donald harder to understand but people making DT17 werenât interested in that, and instead did stuff like sped up his performance.
youtube
(the most relevant bit is at 14:45. he does also talk about the legend of the three caballeros, a show where they allowed him to go through the scripts to see if he approved them, which is why Donald is easier to understand in that show)
There are several ways they could have approached the duck voice issue and the one they decided to go with was writing it as a speech impediment and then mocking Donald over it.
Now, the duck voice isnât necessarily a speech impediment, even if the audience canât understand Donald properly. It can be just⊠A duck thing. He has that because he is a duck, and if everyone understands him (like in the Mickey Mouse shorts) then itâs just. heâs a duck, he go wak wak
But in DT17 he is the only person with it and it very much impedes his life in universe. And depicting it as that could be fine but then you neeed to actually be aware thatâs what youâre doing and the way DT17 is written really doesnât feel like that to me.
People not understanding him is the joke and his family doesnât care. There is no attempt to communicate, itâs just sad. Even tho they point out he has anger issues because he feels he canât be understood?? Well then the issue is thereâs no communication but okay him punching things because he loves his family is good too I guess.
Now, changing his voice could work. From a meta perspective you should try to use different methods imo, by making scripts that support the character (by for example giving context to what he is saying through the dialogue of others) using the visuals to communicate etc. DT17 wants it emotional speeches like in the quack pack ep, but is it really impactful coming from a voice actor who isnât the usual character?
Donaldâs voice being changed in the quack pack ep could have easily worked, as him wishing he would have a ânormalâ voice, (this does happen in a classic animated short) but within the fiction of the episode, it wasnât a thing that came from Donald in the first place it was a change that came from the genie.
And even if it came from Donald itâd be depressing because itâs not like the ep ends with his family working to communicate with him, or telling him they like his voice or anything. so
I guess if youâre charitable you could say the ep shows they can just punch stuff together as a family and thatâs enough so⊠no need to talk about things? It does seem to be the go-to solution to Donaldâs problems in the show.
Also Don Cheadle is a problem. He isnât a voice actor! Being a voice actor demands a different skillset than being a movie actor does. But they want the big names whether it is a good fit and there is lot of disrespect for voice actors. Tho this is more a problem with the casting in general and lot of it presumably comes from higher upâŠ
#ducktales critical#donald duck#obviously movie actors can do good work as voice actors too#mark hamill is a great example#also when i say they/the crew i mean like#overall people who work for the show#i am sure there's lot of different POVs#but i can only look at what they did deliver#and what it feels like were the creative decisions#and some stuff anselmo for example has spoken about#i don't agree with everything they say in that panel but it's interesting#and i think the treatment of the duck voice and so anselmo is a problem in dt17#as is donald's treatment overall#as a character#Anonymous

The Lost Princess Chapter 32
Warnings: Same as the other chapters
Rating: SFW
You and the trio had exited the Eighth Floor world entrance and had entered the world of Atlantica.Â
âGawrsh! This looks like the bottom of the sea,â Goofy said.Â
âIt sure does. So how come we can breathe?â Sora said.Â
âHmm... Beats me! Maybe someone cast a spell on us?âÂ
âIt's just like breathing air!â you said.
âBut it's not air. See? Someone's swimming this way!â Donald said. Ariel appeared and swam over to the four of you, holding a trident.
âIf anyone asks, you didn't see me!â she said.Â
âWhat?â Donald asked.Â
âSorry, I don't have time to explain. Just promise you won't tell!â
âHey, what's that sparkling thingy you got there?â Goofy asked.Â
âOh, nothing---nothing at all! Remember, you didn't see me!â She swam away leaving you and the trio confused.Â
âWhat was that all about?â you asked.Â
âWell. Looked like she was in a hurry,â Donald said.Â
âShe was hiding something,â Sora said.
âI wonder what it was?â You, Sora, Donald, and Goofy entered the throne room of King Triton, and met a crab named Sebastian.
âOh, woe is me...â Sebastian said.Â
âIs something wrong?â Sora asked.Â
âSomeone stole the king's magic trident. Atlantica is defenseless! And to top it off, Princess Ariel has disappeared! King Triton's worried sick. He won't leave his chambers.âÂ
âAriel? She disappeared?â you asked.Â
âAriel's friend Flounder would know where she is, but now he's gone, too.â Sora turned to you, Donald, and Goofy.
âWait a sec... Didn't we just see Ariel?â he asked.Â
âYep. But she didn't look real happy to see US! Hey, wasn't she carrying something when we saw her?â Goofy said.
âYou don't think that was the trident?â you asked. Jiminy hopped down.
âYou know, maybe it was,â he said.Â
âWak? But that means Ariel stole it!â Donald said.Â
âThere must be some explanation.â Sebastian was talking to himself while the five of you were talking.
âAriel! Where did you swim off to this time? If anything happens to you... The king will think it's all my fault! He told me to keep an eye on her, and now this! What if she ran away because of something I said?! King Triton will banish me forever!â he said.
âHe'll pop his shell if we tell him Ariel took the trident,â you said to the trio.
âGuess we'll have to get to the bottom of this ourselves!â Goofy said. You and the trio left the throne room. You, Sora, Donald, and Goofy found Ariel and the trident in her grotto.
âThere she is!â Sora said.Â
âThis is all my fault. I wish I'd never taken Daddy's trident. I should've known things would turn out this way,â Ariel said to herself.Â
âShe DID take it!â Donald said.Â
âPipe down! Somebody's comin'!â Goofy said.Â
âNo need to worry, child. You did the right thing,â someone said. Suddenly, Ursula appeared in a cloud of black smoke.
âWhy, I'm sure you'd do anything in the world to help your little friend. Poor Flounder has been swept away to the human world. No place for a little fish. Why, if we don't hurry, you might not have a friend to save---â she said.Â
âNo!â Ariel said.Â
âBesides, you're not GIVING me the trident, dear---just letting me borrow it for a bit. You can save Flounder! Lend me the trident, and I'll help you!âÂ
âI know. But Daddy needs the trident to defend Atlantica. I need time to think.â
âWell, it's all the same to me. Just remember, your little friend is dodging fishhooks while you twiddle your fins. Well, you can come see me once you've made up your mind.â Ursula disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.Â
âWhat am I going to do?â Ariel asked. You, Sora, Donald, and Goofy walked up to Ariel.
âDon't trust HER, that's for sure,â you said.Â
âHow long have you been listening?â Ariel asked.Â
âOh, long enough,â Sora said.Â
âIt doesn't matter. (Y/N)'s right! Don't trust that sea witch! She's up to no good. You can see it in her face!â Donald said.
âThen we all agree! The problem is, I don't have any idea where Flounder is. And she's the only one who can help,â Ariel said.Â
âWhat about us? C'mon. Let's go talk to her. You shouldn't have to do this by yourself,â Sora said.Â
âReally? You'll come with me?â
âYou bet! Sora and I know how it feels to have friends in trouble. Let's get going!â you said. You, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Ariel entered Ursula's lair. Ursula came out of the shell at the end of the room and down to the ground.
âMy, so many guests! Have you made up your mind, my dear?â she said.Â
âI'll do anything for Flounder. But I need proof I can trust you. You said we could save Flounder if I gave you the trident. Well, prove it!â Ariel said.Â
âBut of course! See?â Ursula waved her hand, and Flounder appeared in a shroud of darkness.
âAriel!â Flounder said.Â
âI knew something was fishy!â Donald said.Â
âThere you have it. If you want your precious Flounder back, give me the trident!â Ursula said. The trident glowed and levitated over to Ursula.
âHa ha! Mine at last! Now I'm ruler of all the seas!â she said.Â
âLet Flounder go!â Ariel said.
âBut of course! I'm feeling generous.â Ursula let Flounder go and he swam over to Ariel.
âWhich reminds me... You always wanted to see other worlds, didn't you? Well, dear, I know just the world to send you to! Unfortunately, this will be a one-way trip!â Ursula said. She created a strike of lightning with the trident. You and Sora was transported to a single platform. Ursula, who had grown gigantic with the power of the trident, slammed her tentacles down.
âThe sea and all its denizens shall grovel before me!â she said. You and Sora fought and defeated Ursula. Everyone was back in Ursula's lair afterwards.
âPlease don't be mad, Ariel. That ol' witch tricked me,â Flounder said.Â
âFlounder, as long as you're safe, nothing else matters. Now all we have to do is return the trident and everything will be okay,â Ariel said.
âBut what if the king finds out you're the one who took it in the first place?â you asked.Â
âI'll be grounded forever...â Sebastian's voice was heard somewhere in the area.
âAriel! Ariel! Where are you, girl? If you can hear me, please answer!â he said.Â
âIt's Sebastian! He came all this way just to find me,â Ariel said.Â
âYep, and when he does, you're gonna get it!â Goofy said.Â
âHey, I know! Why don't you just say the sea witch stole the trident? And you got it back all by yourself! Then there's no way you'll get in trouble!â Sora said.Â
âI just had the same idea! But...I can't do that. I don't want to get in trouble, but I can't lie. Not about this. I know I haven't made the best decisions lately. It was a mistake to take the trident. But I made that mistake because I wanted to help you, Flounder. I'm proud of that. Blaming someone else would mean giving those feelings up. So, I'm going to tell the truth,â Ariel said.Â
âShe's right, Sora! Honesty is the best policy,â Jiminy said.Â
âHey, I was just kidding! Great, now I'M the one in hot water!â Sora said. You and the gang soon left Atlantica and entered the Eighth Floor Exit Hall. You and Sora saw Riku walking to the next floor and gasped. The two of you then ran to Riku.
âTake the hint... I told you two to go home,â Riku said.Â
âNot until we rescue you 'n NaminĂ©,â Sora said.Â
âI don't remember ever asking you two to rescue me.â
âDid you forget? Kairi's there---waiting for us to come home,â you said.Â
âYou're the one who forgot. I told you at Kingdom Hearts when we closed the door... âTake care of Kairi.ââ You and Sora gasped and looked down.
âGive it up. I'm not going back to the islands---for anything,â Riku said.Â
âIt's not just for Kairi! What about the rest?â you said.Â
âYou can have those losers. Already forgot 'em.â
âThat's enough!â Sora said as he summoned his keyblade and you with your dagger.Â
âWhat about you, guys? Do you actually remember what they all look like?â Riku asked.
âOf course we rememb---â Sora said. Sora looked down causing Riku to laugh.
âDon't feel bad. That's what this castle does to you---after a while. It's good. You forget all the useless stuff and remember for the first time what really matters. I remembered it. I now know the one thing that is most important to me. Protecting NaminĂ©. Nothing else matters---not a thing,â Riku said. You and Sora looked at Riku and remembered when the three of you used to fight using wooden swords as children.
âHey...Riku... I think I'll jog your memory,â you said. Sora readied his Keyblade while you readied your dagger. Riku snickered and raised his Soul Eater.
âGo ahead and try,â he said. You, Sora, and Riku battle. After the battle, Riku laid on foot on the ground, defeated. He used his weapon to get up.
âHmph. Too bad, you two. You can fight me all you want, but I still won't remember a thing,â he said.
âC'mon, Riku... Let's quit fighting---let's go help NaminĂ©,â Sora said.Â
âTogether---right. So like you... ...Sora, (Y/N)---you're always trying to worm your way into my heart!â He held his weapon to you and Sora in a hostile manner.
âHold on! When did we ever do that?â you said.Â
âHmph, you forgot that, too? You two never cared. It never mattered to you!â Riku said. He ran away into the next floor.
âYou won't push us away,â Sora said. You and the gang left the Exit Hall. Meanwhile, the girl was still in the white room. Axel appeared and walked over to her.
âDoes it hurt, NaminĂ©? Watching your three childhood friends fight all because of you? You have my sympathies. From the heart,â he said. NaminĂ© picked her head up and looked angrily at Axel.
âBut don't waste your time. We Nobodies can never hope to be somebodies,â Axel said.Â
~~~~
You, Sora, Donald, and Goofy entered the Ninth Floor. Sora sighed and you put your head down while Donald and Goofy looked at each other, worried.
âI don't get it. Riku and I---we both want the same thing. Both of us want to help NaminĂ© out. How come we're fighting each other? I mean, Riku and I have argued about stuff in the past, but...â Sora said.Â
âI know. But he was always so kind around me. What happened to him?â you said.Â
âCould be 'cause ya care what happens to each other,â Goofy said. Donald nodded in agreement.
âHm... I really thought so, too, but...maybe Riku doesn't...â Sora said.
âYou can't give up. You're friends---tied together. (Y/N), Sora, Riku, and... and... What was her name?â Donald said. Goofy thought but came up with nothing.
âHm. It seems our memories are fading mighty fast. Sora, (Y/N), we gotta hurry. I bet Riku will come around if you just talk to him,â Jiminy said.Â
âYou're right. We three were never apart. Me, Sora, 'n Riku... ...and NaminĂ©,â you said. You and Sora held up the next card at the Ninth Floor world entrance, and entered to the next world.
To be continued...
Elope Part 1
Daisy and Donald had it all planned weeks ago. They had a month to prepare. Donald started by sprucing up his houseboat. No one much noticed. he was always working on something in his houseboat mostly because he was always breaking something.
The gardener was the one who noticed first. Someone had uprooted all the Daisies. He eventually found them in the planter box under the houseboatâs window. The gardener didnât want to insight any wrath, so he let it be. For now.
The second person to noticed was Huey.
Huey had a question to ask Uncle Donald it was for a badge. He found Donald in his room making aâŠ.bed? Out of some spare wood.
âWhat are you making Uncle Donald?â
WAK! Donald jumped causing himself to hit his thumb with his hammer. He sucked his thumb as he turned to face his nephew.
âA thed thor th enther.â
Huey cocked an eyebrow. Donald rolled his eyes and got his thumb out of his bill. âA. Bed. For. The. New. Renter.â
âYou got a new renter?!â
âEhh not yet.â Donald started to sweat as Huey rapid fired questions at him.
âDonât renters usually supply their own furniture? Didnât Storkules sleep on the floor?â
âWellâŠ.â Donald scratched his head.
âIs this to make the room more preferable? Will you put âfully furnishedâ on the listing? I guess it wouldnât be âfullyâ furnished if there isnâtâŠâ
âYES!â Donald interjected. âYES. Huey is there something you came here for?â his tone was sharper than he wanted it to be. He didnât know how long he could keep up lying to his family. They could piece together things pretty quickly if they actually notice his on goings.
Huey realized he was interrupting something, but what was so special about making a bed? âOh umm. I need to ask you some questions about when we were little. It is for the Child Care and Development badge.â
Donald let out the breath he was holding. Thank Goodness thatâs all.
Huey interpreted the sigh as one of annoyance. He decided he wanted to be helpful to his Uncle âBUT I can use my salesmanship badge to help you put out a listing for the room!â
âNO!â again too forceful. âNo, the room wonât be ready yet⊠ahâ He saw Hueyâs face fall a little. âUmmâŠhow about you ask me questions while I work on this.â
âOk!â Huey whipped out his notebook. âFirst question.â Huey paused âWhy did you start this on bed in your room and not the extra room?â
Donald looked up at the door frame and then back at the almost finished bed frame. âAwww Phooey!â
(Huey just chalked it up to Donald flighty-ness. Donald stopped working on the bed and helped Huey.)
The third person to notice was Mrs. Beakley. She noticed Donald was taking note of her laundry routine. Then one day he approached her.
âHey Mrs. B I can help you with all that laundry.â
There was something going on and she knew it would end with a theft. Was it worth intervening?
âFine. Do you need me to show you how to properly wash them?â
âNope! I got it!â Donald hefted the laundry basket out of Beakleyâs hands.
Beakley decided she would read some more of her book, while keeping an eye on Donald. Curiously he stole Mr. McDuckâs silk bed set, a top hat, and a tux. While all these things were trivial Mr. McDuck only had one tux.
Beakley set herself up on the top of the gangplank and waited. Donald soon sauntered up to the gangplank. He was so pleased with himself that he didnât notice Mrs. Beakley until she cleared her throat.
WAK! Donald jumped so high he almost dropped his plunder. Beakley allowed him to stabilize himself.
âOh Mrs. B!â Beakley eyed his Ill-gotten goods. âOh, these things? TheyâreâŠ..stained! Sooooo Stained! I know of just the thing to get these stains out! Kinda long process to get these kinds of stains out though. It will take about two weeks to complete the full process. YEP! After two weeks these will be good as new!â
She was done let him dig himself into an ever-bigger hole. She borrowed her eyes into his face that eventually stopped Donald from rambling on.
âDonald, you know that I know that is a lie. Now why donât you really tell me why you are stealing?â
âIâm Borrowing!â He defended. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Beakley rolled her eyes. âYes, for two weeks, and what are you doing with these items in those weeks?â
How could Donald lie to an international super spy? He sighed. âAlright you got me. Iâm going to take Daisy out on a cruise for two weeks.â He gestured to his boat. âI wanna make it nice.â Donald shuffled his feet. Waiting for Beakley to berate him.
Bealeyâs eyebrows shot up in surprise and then soften. The thought of romantic love and trying to impress the one your heart pines after. Donald looked up at the silent Beakley. She snapped out of her thoughts. She put a hand on his shoulder. âIâll allow it this time. BUTâŠâ She squeezed his shoulder menacingly. âAfter the two weeks you Better return these items Clean, Pressed, and Intact!â
Donald heard the threat. He saluted her the best he could while holding his newly acquired loot. âYes Mâam Mrs. B!â She let him go.
It was getting close to the day Daisy had picked out. The fourth person to notice was Della.
Donald went to the hanger to ask Launchpad to take his boat to the marina. He would Prefer Dellaâs flying over Launchpadâs but Launchpad would do it without questions.
Donald heard 90âs music and someone working with tools. Must be Launchpad fixing something he crashed. âHey LauncâŠâ
It was Della! She was on a ladder looking into the propeller of the Cloud-Slayer. Â âOh, hey Donald! Now that you are here, can you help me with this propeller. I just need you to turn on the propeller so I can see what it is sticking on.â
âUmm actually I was hoping Launchpad was here. Have you seen him around?â
âI think he was having a movie marathon with his buddy DracâŠSomething?â
Oh no once Launchpad had started watching something, there was no dragging him away. Also, Donald didnât have time to track him down. He needed his boat at the marina today!
Della climbed down from the propeller. âWhat did you need Launchpad for?â
âI needed my boat in the marinaâŠ.â
Della perked up âWhere you going to? A pirate ship graveyard? An island of magic wielding people?â
âNo place in particular.â Donald gestured airily. âJust sailing around.â
âNo destination eh.â Della eyed him. Donald started to sweat. âWere you planning on taking anyone with you?â
Donald Stuttered. âItâs k-kinda a solo trip.â
âSOLO!? You donât want to take your amazing twin sister with you!?!?!â Â she draped her arm over his neck smiling brightly.
Donald rolled his eyes.
Della put her hands on her hips. âHow about taking the boys with you?â
Donald shook his head.
âUncle Scrooge?!â
âNa uhâ
âMrs. Beakley?â
âNope.â
âWhat⊠What about your Girlfriend?!â
Donald Flushed pink. âNo, she couldnât get the time off.â
âSo, sailing totally alone out there in the big wide deadly ocean! What if there is a storm? Or you get eaten by a gross fish? I canât save you from a gross fish!â
Donald gave her a look.
Della threw up her arms âI know the irony!â
Donald reached and grabbed her arms and brought them down. âDella, Iâve checked the weather and the tides, Iâm only sailing to places I know, all my communication devices work, I will call you and the boys every day.â
Della looked down at their clasped hands. âBut still this is weird for you.â
Donald scratched the back of his head. âI need timeâŠ. to thinkâŠ. I guessâŠâ
Things snapped into place in Dellaâs head. âARE YOU GOING TO PROPOSE TO DAISY!?â
Donald went bright red. He flapped his arms. âGaaahhh DEEEEELLLLLAAAAAA!â
Della pointed at him with every word that came out of her mouth. âYOU ARE! I KNOW IT! THATâS WHY YOUâVE BEEN MAKING YOUR HOUSEBOAT ALL FANCY!â
âSQWAK! HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT!â
âIâve known you my whole life! I knew you were lying when you said Daisy couldnât get the day off! Also Huey mentioned that you were making the boat nice for a renter! Mrs. Beakley had to calm the gardener down because he was done with you stealing all his flowers. YOU DONâT PICK THAT MANY FLOWERS FOR RENTERS! Then I got Beakley to tell me that you stole Uncle Scrooges Tux! A TUX!?! What do you need a TUX for on the ocean?!â
Donald was sweating up a mess, blushing badly and leaning away from his sisters wild gesturing. While Della heaved some good breaths, Donald took this time to again hold his sistersâ hand so she could focus on what he was saying.
âOk Fine I am planning somethingâŠNice for Daisy.â
âIf you are going to propose to her you need a videographer capturing the moment!â
Donald squeezed her hand tight. âDella! No. I want this to be a just me and Daisy thing!â
âAww Come on. I need to see her reaction!â Della begged.
Donald stayed firm. âNo. I need you to promise me that you will not sneak on my boat in the next couple of weeks.â
Della huffed âFine I promise.â
Donald still didnât let go of her hands. âAnd I need you to promise to not send the kids, Launchpad, Panchito, Jose, Uncle Scrooge, Mrs. B or anyone else to sneak on my boat.â
Della frowned.
He tugged her hands. âDellaâŠ..?â
âOkay I promise. Woodchuckâs Honor.â He let her hands go so she could give the Woodchuck salute.
Donald Gave Della a hug. âThank you!â
She hugged him back. âyeah yeah ya big Palooka.â
Della got her kids together to help her strap up Donaldâs Houseboat to the helicopter. Â Once his boat was in the water and ready to go, they waved him off. Â While waving and smiling Della whispered though her teeth. âHuey, honey, do you have access to a Spy bot?â Â
Heart of a Queen
This has been a wip on my computer for over two years, and I never really had any intention of finishing it, but @starry-serenade asked me to post it, so here it is!
also lowkey tagging @starswirlblitz and @jessucakes bc you might like it?
This story I think lies between KH2 and Dream Drop Distance, with the change that Kairi is present and has been helping Queen Minnie and the rest. Itâs been a while since Iâve dived deep into KH lore, so please forgive any inconsistencies or incorrect applications of KH magic!
* Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â *
When Sora and Kairi find a mysterious Heartless, they take a chance and bring it back to Disney Castle. Fortunately for them, one lucky rabbit is able to aid them in their quest to find out who it could beâŠ
* Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â *
âWhat is that, how did it get in here, and why do you have it?â Donald asked harshly.
Kairi raised her eyebrow at the royal magician. âItâs a Heartless, and Sora and I brought it back for King Mickey to take a look at it.â She protectively laid a hand on the head of the small black creature that crouched at her side.
âWak? Why?â Donald looked up at Goofy. âHow did you even get it here? The castleâs magic should keep out all Heartless!â
âIt should. I guess it doesnât work all the time,â Sora said, shrugging.
âAh-hyuck. Why would ya bring a Heartless here? What does His Majesty need to see about it?â Goofy asked, scratching the back of his head.
âIt looks different than the others weâve fought,â Sora said. He pointed to the top of the Heartlessâs head. âIt has pointy ear-things, and its eyes are green.â Which they were, and from all the time he spent helping his friends cleanse the darkness from their worlds, all the time he spent whacking Heartless back into dissipating shadows, he was pretty sure they werenât normally that color.
âI can feel that itâs special. I donât think itâs a normal Heartless,â Kairi added.
âBut if itâs not a Heartless, then what is it?â Donald asked. âThis makes no sense. Iâm telling the King.â He darted out of the room.
âOkay. Thatâs fine!â Sora called after him. âTell him to come out and see!â
âSora, I hope your hunch is right,â Kairi murmured to him.
âYou said you can feel itâs different than a normal Heartless, right? I trust you, and I think you could be right,â Sora said, putting a hand on her shoulder. âDonât worry. King Mickeyâll see what weâre talking about.â
Goofy bent down to look at the Heartless, which, frightened, hid behind Kairiâs leg. âGawrsh. Itâs kind of a cute little feller, ainât it?â
Donald and Mickey arrived in that moment. âWhatâs all this about a Heartless in my castle?â Mickey asked, raising an eyebrow. He summoned his Keyblade in a flash of golden light.
The Heartless hid behind Kairi, and Sora put himself protectively between her and the King. âYour Majesty, this Heartless isnât here to hurt anyone. We brought it here.â
âYou brought a Heartless? Here?â Mickey put his Keyblade away and looked up at the boy in confusion. âWhy?â
âItâs okay, sweetheart, King Mickey isnât going to hurt you,â Kairi crooned gently, persuading the small shadowy creature to come out from behind her. It looked over at Mickey, still holding onto Kairiâs leg with tiny hands. âI just⊠I just have a feeling, in my heart, that this Heartless is special. Itâs different⊠it looks a little different, its presence feels a little differentâŠâ The girl shook her head. âI donât know why exactlyâŠâ
âWell, remember when I took my own heart?â Sora said, tilting his head. âI got split into a Heartless, and Roxas, my Nobody.â Goofy nodded, remembering. âI got turned into a Heartless, but KairiâŠâ he blushed, ââŠturned me back to my normal self.â
Goofy snapped his fingers. âSo ya think this might be the Heartless of somebody we know?â
âWe⊠we think it might be,â Kairi said. âMaybe thatâs why the castleâs magic⊠isnât really affecting it.â
âHmmm.â Mickey pondered this. âWell, it makes sense. All right. Weâll keep it until we can figure out how to turn it back into whoever it is. But it needs to be watched at all times; we canât leave it unattended.â
âThank you, Your Majesty,â Kairi said with plain relief, bowing her head to the mouse king.
âAw, Kairi, we went over this,â Mickey chuckled. âJust King Mickey is enough.â
âRight. King Mickey.â
* Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â Â Â Â Â Â
âBLAAAAAHHHHHAAAAHHHHRRRRGGHHAAAAAAAHHHH! OW! OW! OW!â
Oswald spun wildly out of the portal and bounced directly onto Disney Castleâs back lawn. He spit perfectly manicured blades of grass out of his mouth and rubbed his head, sitting up and groaning as his Keyblade Armor disappeared and the portal closed. âI hate between-world travelâŠâ
Heâd been a Keyblade Master longer than he cared to admit, but traveling through the Corridors was not one of his specialties. After a couple more minutes his vision stopped spinning and he was able to make out an enormous blue and white marble building towering over him. âWell, at least Iâm in the right place.â He stood up and made his way toward the Gummi Ship Hanger, searching for the one mouse who could hopefully help him out.
* Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â *
Minnie looked around her. She, Riku, Kairi and Donald had spent much of the afternoon in the library doing research on the Cornerstone of Light and Disney Castle, among many, many other things. âOh, now where were we?â
âThe History of Disney Castle, Volume X,â Riku said, cracking a grin.
âThe Keyblade War, Volume II,â Kairi added.
âThatâs right. Oh, and where is the King? I asked him to meet us hours agoâŠâ
âIâll go find him, Your Majesty,â Donald offered, and before she could say yes or no he was already out the door and down the hall.
Minnie sighed and replaced a book on the shelf.
Less than ten minutes later, a familiar voice spoke up from the doorway. âDonât worry, Your Highness, Iâm here for ya!â
The Queen giggled. âOh, Mickey.â She put her hands on her hips. âBut youâre still late, what kept you?â
Mickey grinned and stepped into the library, followed by two other figures: Sora and Oswald.
Riku raised an eyebrow. The rabbit who had followed the King in the door was about his height, though his tall black ears added a good foot to his stature. He looked remarkably like the King, but his face was white instead of peach. He wore a similar outfit as well, simple clothes for traveling, he supposed, but it was blue, silver, and black instead of red, gold, and black. Unlike the King, he wore no gloves and no shoes, choosing to walk barefoot.
âOh, King Oswald!â Minnie curtsied.
Sora and Riku bowed and Kairi curtsied as well.
The corner of Oswaldâs mouth turned up in the ghost of what once might have been called a smile, but it vanished almost as soon as it appeared. He waved his hand for the teens to stand and turned his attention back toward Mickey. âMick, I hate to admit it, but I need your help.â
ââCourse, Oswald! Brothers gotta stick together, ya know.â
âBrothers?â Sora whispered to Riku.
âHalf-brothers, actually,â Riku replied, remembering a long-ago conversation with the King in which heâd told him about Oswald, about the rabbit king who was his half-brother, who ruled a land much different than his.
âYeah, but donât forget, Iâm older than you, mouse,â Oswald grumbled, shoving one of his hands in his pockets.
Mickey put his hands on his hips. âWhatâs the trouble, Os? I havenât heard from ya in⊠well⊠timeâs different in each world, but itâs probably been a while.â
âWell, my world was taken by the darkness andââ
Five different gasps punctuated the room. Sora, Riku, and Kairi looked at each other. Minnie looked at Mickey who looked horrified at Oswald. âWastelandâs gone?â the Queen gulped at last.
Oswald winced but nodded affirmatively. âYeah. I⊠I donât know what even happened. I was out walking on Mean Street when a tidal wave of darkness surged down an alley toward me. I got out my Keyblade and put up a Refleza, but even that didnât do much of anything; I blacked out and found myself in Traverse Town.â
There was silence in the room for the span of a few heartbeats. âDid⊠did anyone else make it out?â King Mickey asked with a soft gulp.
Oswald sighed, a deep sigh that seemed to travel all the way from his large black feet up and out of his mouth. âI havenât seen Ortensia. I donât know where she is. I looked all over Traverse Town, even asked around, but nobodyâd seen her. My sweetie pie, my kittyâŠâ He sighed and reached up to tug on one of his ears in an aggravated motion. âNot to mention my 420 Bunny Children, who knows where they all are⊠and Gus and all the other Gremlins, I didnât see anybody and itâs justâŠâ
Kitty? Something clicked in Kairiâs memory. âOh! Your Majesty?â
Minnie, Mickey, and Oswald all looked at her. âYes?â they asked with one voice.
âIâm sorry, I mean King Oswald,â the girl amended, twisting her hands in the fabric of her skirt.
The rabbit in question looked up at her. âYeah?â
âYour wife⊠you said sheâs a cat?â
Oswald smiled dreamily. âThe most beautiful cat to ever live.â
Kairi glanced meaningfully at Sora, but he hadnât seemed to put the pieces together. âCan you excuse us for a second? We need to go check on something.â Minnie nodded but returned her attention quickly to Oswaldâs worries.
Kairi took Soraâs hand and dragged him bodily out of the library. âKairi, what are you doing?â he queried as she continued to yank his arm out of his socket. When had she gotten this strong?
âThat Heartless we found, it has pointy ears like a cat, right? I think⊠I think it might be Ortensiaâs Heartless,â she explained.
âOh. Oh, okay. That makes total sense,â Sora said, nodding like heâd known it all along. âWhere did you leave it?â
âI left it in the garden, told Pluto to watch it⊠oh no.â The pair halted by the railing overlooking the back lawn. The Heartless was there, all right, but so was Donald, and out of the corner of his eye, Sora caught a glimpse of Pluto trapped in a cage made of great icicles. Angry barks echoed between the topiaries as the gold mutt tried to break loose.
Kairi inhaled a sharp breath and felt Soraâs hand cover hers in a comforting grip.
âYouâre dangerousâŠâ they could hear him muttering to himself. âYouâre dangerous, I donât care what the King says, Iâm gonna take care of you once and for allâŠâ
With a flash of white and silver Kairi was alone on the balcony. Sora had vaulted over the railing with smooth precision borne of much practice and flung his Keyblade at Donald⊠not to strike him, only to distract him. The Keyblade embedded itself in the lawn up to the teeth a foot from Donaldâs beak.
âWak! Whoâs there?â he quacked angrily.
âDonald, donât!â Sora shouted as he ran to retrieve his Keyblade. âItâs Ortensia!â
âOrtensia?!?â Donald repeated, his brows flying down into a confused line.
âKai, go find the Heartless!â the boy shouted back up to the balcony.
Kairi nodded and vaulted over the railing herself, scanning the area for the little black creature.
âWhat makes you think that thing is Queen Ortensia?â Donald complained, folding his arms, his staff stuck under his arm.
âKing Oswaldâs here, he lost her, and we think this Heartless⊠might be her,â Sora explained as he summoned his best Firaâs to melt Plutoâs prison.
âShe canât be a Heartless, thatâs ridiculousâŠâ the royal magician said, waving his hand dismissively.
Sora put his hand on his hip, still focusing the tip of his Keyblade on the icicles. âUh huh. And when I got turned into a Heartless, who hit me on the head a bunch of times? I still remember that!â
âWak! Oh, all right, maybe it could be possibleâŠâ Donald relented grumpily.
The Heartless had hid in a bush at the rear of the garden, and Kairi was on its tail. She knelt down and parted the leaves carefully. The Heartless scooted further back until it was touching the marble wall. âItâs okay, itâs okay, itâs me, Kairi, remember me?â Kairi said soothingly. âAre you okay, Ortensia?â
The Heartless seemed to perk up, turning its head toward the girl.
âThatâs your name, isnât it?â The Heartless began to crawl toward the front of the bush and Kairi moved out of the way. âKing Oswaldâs here. He misses you a lot. Do you want to go see him?â
The black creature parted the leaves, stepping out into the afternoon sun, and gave a very slight head motion that might have been a nod. âGood,â Kairi said, relieved. âHeâs up in the castle.â
The Heartless took her offered hand and together they made their way back up toward where Sora had finally freed Pluto.
The second he was out, Pluto darted over to Donald and began barking at him angrily.
Donald fended him off with his staff. âPluto, cut it out!â
âRuff ruff gurrr rufff ruff ruff!â
âOkay, okay, Iâm sorry for freezing you.â
âGurrrrruff ruff rrrr ruff grrrâŠâ
âOh, fine! And Iâm sorry for trying to hurt the Heartless!â
Pluto stopped barking and snorted, nodding his head sharply.
âYouâre such a good dogâŠâ Kairi said, rubbing the muttâs head affectionately.
Sora dismissed his Keyblade. âKairi, you found it?â
âRight here. Letâs go find King Oswald.â
* Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â * Â *
Fortunately, he hadnât left the library, as he was still in the midst of a heated discussion with Mickey. ââŠflung to all the worlds! Itâs too reckless, and besides, itâs against the rules. Master Yen Sid wouldnât be happy.â
Sora elbowed the door open and held it for his girlfriend and her charge. âWeâre back, Your Majesties.â
âKing Oswald?â Kairi ventured.
âYes?â He glanced over at her, his arms folded and one foot tapping a frustrated rhythm on the tiled floor.
âWe have someone we would like you to see.â Kairi gently ushered the Heartless in front of her, where it stood stock still, seeming to be frightened.
Oswald felt his heart give a soft flip. Only one person ever made that happen. ââŠOrtensia?â The Heartless looked up at him and tilted its head curiously. Oswald slowly approached it, feeling his heart grow warmer even in its presence. âIt is you⊠isnât it⊠OrtensiaâŠ.â He took its hands, and in an instant had it in a warm embrace. âMy OrtensiaâŠâ
There was a poof and a flash of light and the Heartless vanished. In its place stood a female cat Oswaldâs height, wearing a lacy pink gown and gold gloves. A tiny gold tiara with a white-gold flower in the center was nestled between her pointed ears.
âOh, honey bunny!â
They separated for only a second before Ortensia began to kiss him all over his face. Grinning he picked her up and twirled her around. She shrieked with laughter. âYouâre all right after all! Oh, Iâm so glad!â Oswald cried, his heart thrumming with joy and relief.
Mickey sighed and put his hand in his pocket. âWell, that answers that question.â
Donald tapped his foot, grumbling. ââŠcanât believe it workedâŠâ
Kairi curtsied again. âQueen Ortensia, I presume.â
Oswald stopped spinning and put his wife down. She hopped a little, her black and gold heels tapping on the tiled floor. âOh, yes. Thatâs right. Oh, itâs so nice to be me again! Thank you for being so kind to me!â
âGlad to help, Your Majesty!â Sora said, grinning excitedly.
âI⊠I donât know what happenedâŠâ Ortensia sighed, touching her cheek softly. âI was doing the flower arrangements for the party and all of a sudden everything was shadowy and cold and there were tendrils of darkness everywhere. I tried Pearl and Holy and neither made the darkness retreat for long. I shouted and shouted for you, Oswald, hoping you would hear even though I knew you were out about town todayâŠâ She sighed again. âI guess I must have blacked out because I donât remember much of anything after that.â
âWell, youâre here now, hon, and youâre okay, and thatâs what matters,â Oswald said, taking her hand and weaving his fingers between hers, still plainly relieved. âAnd somehow weâll figure out how to save our world.â
Mickey shook his head. âIt seems like every time we take two steps forward with that, we get pushed three steps back. I thought all the worlds had returned, but if there are some that are still disappearing, then I feel like weâre just⊠at a standstill.â
Minnie took his hand. âWeâre all working very hard to figure out what to do,â she said softly. âAnd as long as weâre together, as long as our hearts are together, the Light will guide us.â
Mickey pecked her on the temple. âYouâre right, Min. Weâre gonna figure it out together.â
BONUS:
âOswald, where are the kids?â
âMissing? They probably got flung to all the worlds of light just like those puppies did a couple of years agoâŠâ
âAll 420?â
âYes, honey, all 420.â
âWhat are we going to do?â
Oswald tilted his face up toward the ceiling, a frustrated groan escaping through his teeth before addressing the room at large. âWho wants to go on a quest?â
Donald Duckâs Story: The Wise Little Duck
[Donald has a last name.]
Sometimes, I remember that day. Iâd never seen Donald like that before. Then again, Iâd never seen a look like that on the Kingâs face, either.
It was during the big battle at Hollow Bastion.
When the King told us to leave Leon and the others to him and to go find Riku & Kairi instead, Donald and Goofy lied to him about where we were going and we got away from him. Then, after we fought Demyx, the King caught up to us. Donald & Goofy looked worried.
The King glared at them for a second and then broke into his usual smile. âYou sure have lotsa friends to help.â
Donald & Goofy looked up at him, relieved. I know those two were sure heâd forgive them before they disobeyed his orders, though.
âSo, I guess we better all pull together and finish this battle for good!â
âYes, Your Majesty!â We all answered him together.
From on top of the cliffs, there was the sound of a big explosion and then a huge boulder came barreling towards us.
âLook out!â Goofy shouted, and pushed the King out of the way at almost the same time. Â He took a direct hit and went flying.
âGoofy!!â
We ran over to where he fell, but Goofy didnât move.
âHey! Youâre the Kingâs Captain! You gotta get up!â Donald frantically shook him, but Goofy didnât open his eyes at all.
âCâmon, wake up!â I shouted from beside Donald---but Goofy just laid there, limp.
âIâm sorry about the ice cream!â Donald was really desperate.
âGoofy!â
We called to him and nudged him, but he wouldnât open his eyes.
âGoofyâŠâ
I could hear in Donaldâs voice that he was crying. It was the first time Iâd ever heard him sound so pitiful and it rattled me. I didnât know what was going on anymore. I looked into Goofyâs face, but his eyes stayed closed.
âThis is not happening⊠It canât be happening⊠It canâtâŠâ
My voice probably sounded pretty pathetic then, too. I didnât know what to do. And then, before I could do anything, the King jumped into action.
âTheyâll pay for this.â
The King threw off the black coat heâd been wearing and clutched his Keyblade as he ran out into the swarm of Heartless.
âWaaaaak!!!â Donald added his own battle cry and followed the King.
The look on his face was---Itâs honestly one Iâd never seen before.
I never wanted to see it again. I never wanted to hear his voice like that again.
But, somehow, we ended up remembering and talking about it, I guessâŠ
~~~
âWakâŠâ Donald hangs his head, sort of embarrassed.
The gang are on the Gummi Ship, floating through the sea between worlds.
âYâknow, that really hurtâŠ!â Goofy says, scratching his head, and smiles like heâs embarrassed, himself. âBut you fellas all overreacted!â
âThat was your fault, Goofy! Why didnât you open your eyes?â
Probably to cover up how embarrassed he is, Donald frantically argues back at him.
âWell, I guess so⊠I did wake up pretty soon after that, thoughâŠâ Goofy leisurely replies with a smile.
âThe King is the one who got things wrong first. He just got the rest of us riled upâŠ!â Sora agrees.
Donald puffs out his chest. âExactly! The King just ran off and wouldnât come back!â
âWait, what does that have to do with anything?â Sora tips his head to the side.
âA lot!â Donald shoots back.
Goofy smiles at the two of them. âI sure am glad I got to see you fellers againâŠâ
âThatâs our line! We were really worried about you, you big palooka!â
âAww, shucksâŠâ
Things are just as always, Donald going on and on and Goofy giving him carefree answers.
~~~
If I didnât have the two of them with me, I probably wouldnât have made it this far---No, I know I wouldnât have made it this far.
Iâm really glad I met up with them in Traverse Town. Even if me and Donald fight sometimes!
If there ever comes a time when I have to go on by myself, I know the bonds between us will never disappear. So even then, I think Iâd be okay.
And I know that whenever I remember Donaldâs voice, itâll make me smile.
~~~~~
*So⊠the narration of this story switches in the middle from Sora narrating to a 3rd person narrator and then it swaps back again at the end⊠and it changes tenses!
**I... donât know what the title had to do with the story.

Kingdom Hearts fic - Plastic Hearts
Pairing: Slight Sora/Kairi Rating: T Word Count: 39,787 Chapters: 7/7
Entirety on AO3
Summary:Â Having crash landed on a new world, Sora, Donald, and Goofy find themselves turned into living toys. However, after meeting a cowboy and space-man toy in the backpack of a boy named Sid, the trio begin to doubt the authenticity of their own memories outside of the world.An alternate take on how things could have happened when Sora lands on the world, Toy Box.
A/N: Wrote this a little while back, thought Iâd try posting it on tumblr to see if it would interest anyone on here. I should note, I take some creative liberties on the nature of toys in Toy Story
The Gummi Shipâs sirens were blaring as the lights flashed red over and over. The entire vessel shook as another blast rocked through the port side. Gripping the controls, Sora scanned every which way. Craning his head to the left, then whipping it to the right trying to find where the attacks were being fired from.
âWhatâs going on?!â Sora shouted as the Gummi Ship began to nose dive towards the nearby world they had been orbiting. Sora pulled up on the controls trying desperately to regain some sense of control over the ship again. The ship had been suddenly struck just as they had begun to approach this new world and been preparing for a landing.
âOh no!â Goofy blared âWeâve lost a wing!â Soraâs eyebrows rose with shock as he saw a sizable portion of armor come off along with the wing. Sora gritted his teeth as he yanked on the controls, trying to turn the Gummi Shipâs only good side towards where the attacks had been coming from.
âCan anyone see where this is coming from?!â Sora yelled to his two friends.
âOver there, Sora!â Soraâs eyes scrambled towards Donaldâs position to see him pointing out the Cockpit window. Following his friendâs finger Sora only saw empty space. His eyes darting back and forth trying to spot whatever it was Donald was pointing at.
âWhere?! Donald, where is it?! I donât see it!â Sora paled as frustration and helplessness tore at him, panic creeping up as the sirens continued to echo through the ship. But just as he had gotten the words out, he saw it. It was only for a moment, but Sora saw as another Gummi Shipâs cannons fired, the combustion of the projectile illuminating its black hull, camouflaged in the dark background of space and sitting within the shadow of the space junk around it.
âRight THERE!â the mage screeched! But before Sora could let him know that he had finally seen it, another violent tremor passed through the ship as the projectile tore into them. Panicked, Soraâs mind scrambled, trying to decide if now was a better time to rush at the enemy Gummi and counter attack or turn around and try to make a retreat. But where would they go? They had traveled for so long just to get here, and the bright oranges, yellows, and reds decorating the ship left them with little chance to hide between space rocks as their opponents had been doing.
âWe donât have any time to try and run awayâŠâ Sora gritted his teeth, mostly out of frustration and apprehension of the upcoming battle, but he hoped that to his two friends it looked determined. âWeâre going to have go in for a fight!â
Sora looked at Donald and Goofy from the corner of his eye, ready for them to make a better suggestion, to say anything that he might not have considered or at least look surprised. If at the very least they were surprised, their enemies might also be surprised by their decision to fight back.
But none of that came from them. They just looked nervous, yet understanding. They had clearly come to the same conclusion, as Sora had. Sora swallowed, a little more nervous now, but he didnât have a choice anymore. He revved the throttle and prepared to make up some of the distance between the two Gummi Ships.
However, Sora found that the ship wouldnât accelerate as fast as it should. He looked around at his two friends for help. âAre our engines damaged?!â Goofy immediately looked around at the screens nearest him, trying to make sense of what was going on.
âWell, shouldnât theyâve exploded ifân weâd been hit there?!â Goofy shouted back, continuing to look over the screens when a thought passed through his head. âMaybe that last hit we took, separated some wiring that lets the Gummi Ship talk to the engines?â Sora looked back at Goofy, both of them mirroring each otherâs face with fear at the possibility. But Donald, struggling to get the teeny ships to engage, was only growing more frustrated and angry.
âWho are these guys!?â Donald shouted.
âYou donât thinkâŠ?â Sora began, but he hesitated to finish the thought.
âThe Organization?â Goofy finished for him, hearing the words filled Sora with dread and he wished Donald hadnât brought the question up, thoughts of the armada that blocked them from entering Twilight Town during their last journey sprung to Soraâs mind. But for the most part only Heartless had ever tried to attack them while traveling between worlds. But this was clearly another ship, built by someone intelligent.
Sora tried to refocus on his dogfight with the other Gummi Ship, but their Gummi Ship was barely able to stay mobile as it was, and now the enemy Gummi was charging its lasers. Soraâs eyes stretched as he saw the enormity of power being built up.
âSora, evasive maneuvers, now!â Donald yelled, snapping Sora out of his trance. He jammed on the controls, trying desperately to negotiate some kind of speed as the ship spun into a new direction. But, no matter how roughly he treated the controls, the ship was still an easy target just as their opponents finally released the energy they had been charging.
The hull roared as the laser washed over them, electrified particles burning at every inch of their shielding. One of their engines caught fire and exploded. By some miracle, the explosion didn't spread to the other engines and destroy the ship, instead the sudden burst gave them just enough speed to escape from the laser before their cockpit could give way. But a new problem emerged. The Gummi Ship was hurtling towards the world beneath them, caught in its gravitational pull and no engine power left to push against it, the ship began to spin towards the world beneath them. But if their mysterious enemy had been this determined to destroy them, then surely they would continue looking for them after Sora and his friends had crash landed.
We have to hideâŠ
The words flashed through Soraâs mind. âThat thing is trying to kill us!â Sora struggled to focus as everything spun around him. In the chaos, everyone was gripping their seats. Struggling to remain seated as the centrifugal force pulled at their bodies.
âDonald!! Your magic!â Sora screamed as the ship spun out faster and faster in a corkscrew fashion. âItâs gotta be stronger than usual! If they find us while were down there, who knows what will happen! Theyâre clearly not aiming to just leave us with a warning! We have to make the Gummi Ship blend in with this world too! Not just us! We have to leave as little a trail as possible!â Donald wanted to argue, he wanted to try to think of something before he decided to start casting spells that werenât always obvious as to what effect they would cause. They didnât even know if Organization 13 were the ones behind this. But the shipâs spinning had gotten so out of control he couldnât think straight, and as they got closer to the world he could see houses and neighborhoods sitting in the way of where they were going to crash. The disorientation and panic didnât leave him time to think. He just told himself that they had to preserve the world order and forced the spell that allowed them to blend in become more powerful than he had let it before.
Sora could feel the changes immediately; usually it took some time to discover if any changes had occurred, even the more extreme changes they had gone through in the past, back at Atlantica and the Pride Lands, had somehow remained subtle and only really came to Soraâs attention after heâd taken a good look at himself. But this time was different. His whole body tingled from the change, and just before he had the chance to take a look at what was happening to him, he blacked out.
The speed of the rotation was too much, and the stress of the hopeless battle had finally caught up to him. Only the sounds of the Gummi Ship crashing and skidding against concrete entered his mind, and even that had only lasted a moment before he lost consciousness to absolutely everything.
***
âUhhh⊠What happenedâŠ?â Sora groggily woke up, unable to piece together where he was or what events had transpired before he fell unconscious. A dull headache enveloped over him. Holding a hand to his head he tried to focus on whatever scraps of memory he could find. A few moments of thought went by when scenes from back aboard the Gummi Ship flooded through his mind.
âDonald! Goofy! Are you guys there?!â
Soraâs heart stilled as he focused all his attention on trying to find them, relief flooded through his heart as he heard an exhausted quack respond to his voice.
âWak, where are we?...â Donaldâs voice was quiet and slow as he picked himself up and slowly took in his surroundings. Â From Soraâs other side he could hear Goofyâs voice shakily respond.
âHey Fellers, we all still in one piece?â Goofy was still a little dazed from recent events and pawed at his forehead and eyes in a vain hope that rubbing them would make the throbbing go away.
Sora was relieved to see both his friends were fine, though they were clearly badly shaken from the crash landing. It wasnât until Donald spoke up again that Sora started to take notice of his surroundings
âHey, whatâs with this place?â Donald pressed his feathered hand against the wall of the enclosure âI thought this was some sort of cave, what with how narrow and dark it is, but feel it for yourself. I'd almost call it softâŠâ
Sora turned towards one of the walls and pressed his hand against it. Just as Donald said, it certainly wasnât made of rock. Though he wouldnât exactly call it soft, the wall did give way slightly when he put a little extra effort to push against it. Sora turned to Goofy hoping to hear his opinion, but Goofy just looked at him worriedly, he looked like he wanted to say something but was holding himself back. Sora wanted to check on him, ask if he was ok, but before he got the chance another voice emerged.
âThey appear to have fully come to, Sheriff.â
âWell good for them, But theyâre gonna wish they had stayed asleep as soon as we reach Sidâs house!â Â Sora looked towards the voices, but his face immediately scrunched into confusion at what he saw. A cowboy and, what was that other guy? Was he wearing a space-suit? Excitedly standing behind them was, an even more confusing sight, a short green three-eyed man.
âSorry, I think weâre still a little confused⊠Uh, who are you guys and where are we?â Sora, taking a moment to parse through what the cowboy had said, hastily added âoh and, uh, whoâs Sid?â
âSid is a boy who enjoys torturing the residents of this world for funâ The Spaceman said âas for where you areâŠâ
âYouâre in his backpackâ The cowboy stated matter of factly, as if that wasnât an odd thing to say. Sora blinking with continued confusion hoped heâd go on. âI guess I should start from the beginningâ the Cowboy sighed. âMy nameâs Woody and this is Buzz. Weâve been trying to get back to our kid, Andyâ
âSlow down there, Woodyâ the spaceman interrupted âYouâre still trying to get to Andy, but Iâm only interested in procuring a way to get off this world! I still have to get to Star-Command! Did you forget?! I have important information to report to them about the evil Emperor Zurg!â
âSo, youâre also not from this world?â Sora interrupted âmaybe we could help you. Right guys?â Sora turned to Donald and Goofy. Donald looked ready to give a lecture to him about the importance of the world order. âWe are going to need some help finding the Gummi Ship, so maybe they could help.â Donald relented; it would be difficult to explain what the Gummi Ship was without revealing the existence of other worlds. Besides it sounded like this Buzz guy was also from a different world as well. Begrudgingly Donald looked at Sora and gave him the ok to confide with Buzz.
Soraâs smile from Donaldâs permission quickly ran across his face. He turned back to Buzz and spoke, âWeâre also from a different world, my nameâs Sora and thatâs Donald and Goofy. Did you see a ship anywhere nearby when you found us? We crash landed here.â Buzz took a moment to consider what Sora said, rubbing his chin in thought. Woody on the other hand looked incredulous.
âOh, you canât be serious. You all are just as looney as he is!â Woody said pointing at Buzz, âLook at yourselves! Youâre not from other worlds, youâre toys!â
âSorry Woody, but these guys can vouch for me now.â Buzz turned to Sora, Donald, and Goofy âWhy donât you tell him about Star-Command.â Buzz expected to finally prove Woody wrong. He waited for a moment to hear what the three strangers would have to say about Star Command. But he was met with silence and a confused look from Sora
âUh⊠Have either of you heard of a Star-Command?â Sora looked between his friends, but they just shook their heads. âSorry Buzz, but we havenât heard of them. Do they fight the Heartless on other worlds?â But this time Buzz looked at them in confusion.
âImpossible⊠You havenât heard of Star-Command?â Buzz was barely above a whisper, but spoke up to answer Soraâs question. âNo, they donât deal with whatever the Heartless are. Star-Command is the universeâs last defense against the evil Emperor Zurg.
âHmm, well I donât know who that is either. But I certainly know that weâre no toys, right guys!?â Sora turned to face his friends but while Donald nodded in agreement, Goofy had that same look from earlier. He looked guiltily at Sora but couldnât make eye contact. âGoofy, is everything ok?â
âWell, Sora⊠I didnât want to say anything earlier. But when I first woke up, I felt a little funny.â Goofy looked away for a minute, but took a deep breath and looked right back at Sora. âNot like I was sick or anything, just, when I was rubbing my head IâŠâ Goofyâs voice trailed off again. But rather than say anything, he knocked his hand against his head. And when he did it made a rather sharp clink. âI think Iâm made of plastic, and looking at you and Donald, I think you guys are too.â
Sora took a step back and felt himself. And sure enough, instead of soft skin, he was met by hard plastic. Looking back at Donald, Sora saw that his friend was lacking the feathery down he expected to see.
âSee? Exactly as I said, T. O. Y. toy.â Woody said. Sora wanted to argue more, but before he got the chance the entire bag they were standing in shook. Soraâs breath hitched in his throat. Memories of the Gummi Ship shuddering from impacts filled his mind. Finally the Little Green Man spoke up
âNirvana is coming! The mystic portal awaits!â pointing through a zipper opening of the backpack at the door of a house they were approaching. He looked excited enough to jump out the bag just to reach the door sooner, Woody on the other hand was downright horrified and looked at everyone assembled in the bag.
âWill you be quiet?! You guys donât get it. Once we go into Sidâs house, we wonât be coming out!â
Sora wanted to ask who Sid was again, but just as he was about to bring up the question, Sid reached out and opened the door. Immediately a giant of a dog started barking at the bag carrying them. Sora immediately thought of Cerberus, but this dog only had the one head and might have been bigger. Or were they really small? Had Sora and his friends been shrunk? They seemed to be made of plastic, he supposed changing size wouldnât be impossible either, and it would explain how they all fit in one backpack.
âHey there Scud, I got something for you!â The voice came from outside the bag, interrupting Soraâs thoughts. A moment later a hand reached into the bag, Sora felt his body stiffen unnaturally as it went deeper in.
âFreeze!â Woody whispered. Though Sora found that he couldnât do much else in the situation. In fact, Sora started to will himself to move, but to no avail. The hand kept going deeper until it wrapped around the little green man from earlier. It also didnât move but somehow a look of excitement broke across its face as it looked back at the others. As the hand pulled away from the bag Sora found his body start to move under his command again. Sora filled his lungs with air and felt relief flood through him as his body returned to his control.
It was short lived feeling. As seconds later, the dog ripped into the Little Green Man, shaking its head violently back and forth. Sora, outraged, tried to summon his Keyblade to his hand determined to stop this cruelty from continuing on. But to his horror, the Keyblade didnât appear in a flash of light. He tried a little longer to will his weapon into his hand without any luck, before he looked back up and saw the alienâs three eyes stare back at him. Filled with sorrow and fear, begging for help. But all Sora could do was look away, hoping that he wouldnât be able to somehow continue feeling The Little Green manâs gaze from within the jaws of the beast.
Sora shut his eyes and clamped his hands over his ears trying to block out the world he found himself in. And for a moment it worked, Sora could imagine he was someplace else. Back at the islands or maybe he was visiting Kairi in the forest Merlin had made for her and Axel. Was it Axel? He wasnât quite in the loop anymore, but he thought he remembered someone said that his name was different now, or that Axel wasnât his real name.
Soraâs thoughts were interrupted again as the bag suddenly shook again and the screams of a girl broke through the meager defense of his hands and filled his ears. Sora opened his eyes looking around.
âOh no, Not Sidâs room.â Woody begged. But Sora refused to continue to acknowledge what was going on around him. He just wanted a sense of security, it had only been ten minutes or so since he had woken up from the crash landing, and he already felt helpless again.
Again, Sora was thrown back into the weird and unfamiliar world as he suddenly felt the bag everyone was in fly through the air and land on something soft. He struggled to get everyone off him and find the exit of the bag, but just as he did he heard a girl scream followed by Sidâs yelling.
âSheâs lying!! Whatever she says, Itâs not true!!â
Sora crawled out of the backpack. Still a little shaken by earlier events, but he tried taking a deep breath. It seemed that Sid had thrown the bag everyone was in on his bed and ran out the room as well. Now that Sid was out of sight, and hopefully heâd be gone for a while, he could try figuring out what was going on.
âDonald, Goofy. You guys alright?â Soraâs friends walked up to meet him looking just as shaken as he did. They gave him some unconvincing answers, trying to reassure him that they were fine. And Sora wanted to do the same, but he knew he had to let them know about his attempt to use the Keyblade. âGuys⊠When that alien was⊠Well, you know, I really wanted to do something⊠But, IâŠâ Sora swallowed, trying to find the courage to finish what he was going to say. A part of him just wanted to ignore it, maybe his failure to summon the Keyblade was a fluke. Or maybe if he tried right now it would suddenly work. So he raised his hand out and closed his eyes, already able to visualize it in front of him and feeling the familiar weight in his hand. But when he opened his eyes, there was nothing in his grip. Sora sighed and finally continued âI couldnât summon the Keyblade, guysâŠAnd if I canât do that, I canât help anyone. Not Riku or the King. I canât help stop Xehanort! And if there arenât seven guardians of light, then theyâre just going to use Princesses of Hearts, so no matter what; theyâre still going to go after Kairi! I couldnât even do anything to help that Alien!!â
âHey, Sora! Itâll be ok!â Goofy interrupted. Sora could barely get the words out at the start. But by the end he was shouting. âCâmon now, things have pretty weird, lately. But remember! No sad faces, right? Moping wonât help solve whatâs going on. We gotta stay positive if weâre gonna figure this out.â
Woody was less optimistic, âWe are going to die⊠Iâm outta hereâ Woody rushed for the door Sid closed, jumping from the bed to the door knob. Only to discover Sid had locked the door. Sora looked away, heâd rather spend his time and energy making sure his friends were alright and make a plan rather than panicking.
âExcuse me,â Buzz tapped Sora on the shoulder, âYou mentioned something about a key?â In his hand was Soraâs Keyblade. He could scarcely believe it.
âYou found it?! Where was it?â
âWhen we discovered your bodies, it was lying a little ways from you, Sid collected them and placed them in the bag with the rest of us. That, and a shield and rod of some sort.â
âMy staff!â Donald exclaimed finding it in the bag.
âGwarsh, guess we mustâve not noticed them because of everything thatâs happened since we woke up. Sora reached over and grabbed his Keyblade, but something wasnât right with it. It didnât have that cool metallic feel too it anymore, he looked over to Donald and Goofy, they had similar expressions on their faces too. Even their weapons had been changed, instead of the fine wood finish on Donaldâs staff and the sheen to Goofyâs shield was missing. All their weapons were made of plastic as well.
âHey, Donald⊠How powerful is your magic? Could it have changed the Keyblade too?â Sora was a little hesitant to pose the question.
âWell, my magic should leave our weapons alone, usually those donât give away that were from other worlds. Although, I guess it did change their appearance slightly last time we went to Halloween TownâŠâ
âSo then maybe, itâs just blending in with the localsâ Sora answered, a wave of relief washing over him, but Donald just tapped his foot and looked pensive.
A moment passed when they finally heard Woodyâs voice again. Or rather his panicked breathing as he climbed back up the bed, and started to cry out for Buzzâs help. The group looked down as they saw the horridly abused forms of other toys drag themselves towards headless remains of the doll Sid had âoperatedâ on.
âTheyâre Cannibals!â Buzz gaped as they started tearing into the doll Sid had worked on, that familiar feeling of panic washed over Sora again. âStar-Command, Star-Command come inâŠâ Sora prayed that someone would answer through Buzzâs wrist communicator, but it only remained silent. âIâve set my laser from stun, to killâŠâ Determined to remain confident despite the lack of response, Buzz pointed his arm outstretched as his voice lowered to a gravely pitch.
âOh great, and if anyone attacks us, we can just blink them to death!â Clearly unimpressed by Buzzâs attempts to reassure the rest of the group, Woody scoffed at his words. Sora wanted to believe Buzz, but looking at the dinky laser, Sora was inclined to agree with Woody instead. One of the toys noticed them and started to approach them.
Soraâs breath hitched in his throat, its head appeared to have come from a doll of a child. But the rest of it, it was a mess of metal appendages. Looking back at its face Sora noticed it was missing an eye, destroying any illusion that it was an actual head, Sora could see inside its hollow head, the little bit of protruding hair on its head could be seen protruding into the inside of its skull, well if it had a skullâŠ
âFreeze!â Sora pointed his Keyblade out, ready to feel the familiar sensation of ice magic blast forth and knock away the approaching thing. Sora wasnât ready to accept that it was a toy, either in the present or the past. But nothing came from his Keyblade, and now it was looking right at him. âI said Freeze!!â Sora commanded more at his Keyblade but the thing in question also stopped moving, although it was still looking directly at him. Sora heart stilled as he wondered what he should do next. The Keyblade wasnât channeling his magic through it, that was twice now the Keyblade wasnât working as it normally should. Refusing to be summoned to his hand and now no magic, Sora wasnât sure if he could fight of a creature whose body was mostly made of metal now that the Keyblade was made of plastic and its magical properties werenât working. Eventually Goofy spoke up
âThatâs enough now, youâve had a good look, but its time you left us alone!â The thing looked at Goofy now, Sora hoped it would listen, but Goofy looked prepared for things to get physical should it move a little closer. Eventually Footsteps were heard coming from outside Sidâs door. Sora felt his body go rigid again, the same way it had when Sid reached in to take out the little alien toy. The thing suddenly darted away, hiding itself underneath the bed, just before Sid reentered the room. Soraâs body jerked into a pose as his face forced its way into a characteristic smile. The sudden movement caused his body to tip over and fall on the bed.

The Little Peach, Chapter One
Notes: Big thanks to my wonderful editor, Drucilla!
So two notes about this upcoming story, one good and one not so good
The good : This is a tribute to all the manga and anime that influenced me growing up, and the culture that continues to inspire me to this very day.
The not so good : Donald's not going to be the fun, loving guy we know him to be just yet. It's a little thing called character development. If you can't wait around for that, I suggest you don't read. Plenty of other stories out there.
With that out of the way, I hope those of you who do stick around enjoy this story of family, friendship, and folktales!
Story Summary: Momotaro meets Inch High Samurai meets Disney!
In Japan of old, a mysterious child is found by a lonely couple. When he grows up, he still hasn't "grown up" - he forever remains the size of a peach pit. Determined to change his size, and his father's opinion of him, Mickey sets out on a journey to retrieve the Lucky Hammer - a legendary weapon capable of changing anyone's height.
With weird sidekicks, a beautiful princess, and the onslaught of Oni, Mickey and his father will learn that the only size that matters is the size of one's heart.
Pride has many different meanings to many different people, and it has been said that it goes before a fall. Donald Duck believed that so long as you kept a fair balance between pride and humility, you couldn't go wrong. Thus he was striven to find pride, and subsequent humility, in all he did. For instance, he was very proud of the work he was doing as late night began to drift over the quaint farm land, his hands filthy with dirt and sweat dripping off his feathers. Why, look at all of the seeds he was able to plant and all of the fresh vegetables he had pulled from the earth! He'd kept count, and he was certain he'd done three times the work compared to the rest of the farmhands.
Then again, as humility told him, most of them had gone home hours ago, so it was a rather unfair comparison. The only reason he hadn't been booted home yet was because the farm belonged to his grandmother, but judging by the faint footsteps nearby, that limit was being reached too. Still, he continued to dig in the dirt, even as he felt his elder looming over him.
âGood evening, oba-san,â he said without lifting his head, hoping the more polite he was, the more patient she'd be with him. âWe had a very fine crop today! Those carrots looked so good, I was tempted to take a bite the moment I pulled them out! You're going to make a fortune at market.â
âGo home, Donald.â
âAnd did you see the size of those leeks? You could build a house with those suckers! The gods must be answering your prayers ten times over.â
âGo home, Donald.â
âDid I mention how huge your peppers have gotten? I swear, one was the size of my â WAK!â A slight jolt of pain from his rear made him stand to attention, glaring deeply at his grandmother who held one of his former tail-feathers between her fingers. âThat's a fine way to treat one of the greatest samurai in the land, and your own grandson to boot!â
âOh, don't you pull that nonsense with me, young man,â she huffed, not intimidated in the least. âYou were one of the greatest...a year ago. Then you went and got yourself injured. Now you're just a shameless husband who refuses to comfort his own wife!â
Though the insult was well-deserved, it stung all the same. âYou don't have to live with her,â he grumbled, removing the basket from his back and setting it down on the ground. âLook, I've been trying to help, but nothing I say gets through to her! And I hurt plenty too, you just don't see me going all to pieces about it. Just because I'm not blubbering doesn't mean I'm not grieving in my own way.â
Grandma inhaled and exhaled deeply through her nostrils, but her expression began to soften. âI am sorry, Donald,â she said, more gentle than before. âI don't mean to snap at you, honestly I don't. It's... so easy to feel helpless, when you can't do anything to help your own family. But you do need to be there for her, blubbering and all.â However, she knew from experience that guilt alone wouldn't always do the trick, so fortunately she had extra help this time. âI didn't come here just to rattle your chains... I got this in the mail today... it was meant for you, and wound up in mine by mistake. I didn't know when was the best time to tell you.â She held out a small folded letter, the small rips showing the great distance it had traveled.
Donald raised an eyebrow. âHuh? Tell me what?â He unfolded the letter and began to read quietly, his eyes widening at the news. He glanced at Grandma as if to confirm its accuracy, even though he knew she had no way of knowing, and read the letter again. âCriminy... I knew it was bad, but... When I had to leave the castle, I wasn't too upset at first, you know? Because things seemed to be going all right. The Emperor and the Oni King were settling on peaceful terms, the war was nearly over, didn't seem like they'd need my protection anymore. Now...â He sadly shook his head, folding the letter and tucking it into his robes.
âIt won't be long until the entire village finds out. You just got the head-start by courtesy, I reckon. And you need to tell Daisy.â
âFine, fine, fine.â It was clear he was only delaying the inevitable. With one last heavy sigh, he kissed his grandmother on the cheek, and bade her goodnight, promising to be at the farm bright and early the next morning. As he started the long trek home, he tried to think of a way to tell Daisy the bad news without making her panic â although given how difficult it was to get a word in edgewise nowadays, he wondered if she'd even have the strength to panic. Not that panicking would do anyone any good now.
The former Oni King had been overthrown, his entire family slaughtered, and a new man sat at the throne, one who intended to take over all of Japan. The Emperor's men had driven him and his army away, and the old war had started anew. The peaceful life the villagers had known would cease to be someday, and they would have to be on their guard from those dangerous creatures. Â They could grow to be twenty feet tall, with the strength of thirty normal-sized men, so even a battle against just one of them was dangerous. Every fight Donald had against them was a harrowing experience at death's door, and even now, they still knew so little about the Oni. Yet despite all this, Donald was still way more reluctant to see his wife than to encounter the Oni again.
The Emperor's family had been amazingly kind to him, paying him much more than a year's salary when he had been forced to retire. Because of this, he could afford to have a large, luxurious home by the stream, as at the time, he planned to fill it with children alongside his darling bride. He stood in front of the wooden door, and summoned his courage. Slowly, he began to slide it open.
âI'm home-â
âWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHIWANNABABYYYYYYIT'SNOTFAIIIIIIIIIRWAAAAAAAH-â
Donald promptly slid the door shut, and rubbed his temples. Really, why should tonight have been any different? Drawing his hand down his face, he opened the door again, sliding his sandals off to the side. His wife's wailing was incredibly loud, and the size of the empty house allowed it to echo and increase in volume, so it was like living with ten screaming wives. He moved through the house to find Daisy, though he knew where she was, and where she'd been every day since the local medicine man had delivered the devastating news.
There she slumped over the table, bottles of empty sake rolling around her, as she slapped her hand to the wooden surface over and over again. âI WANNA BABY I WANNA BABY I WANNA BAAAAABYYYYY!â She wailed and wailed again, her face streaming with endless tears. Somehow despite her blurry vision she managed to see Donald, and pointed an accusing finger at him. âHOW COME YOUR SISTER GETS TO HAVE THREE AT ONCE, BUT I CAN'T EVEN HAVE OOOOOOONE?!â
âI know, I know.â He had her rants and ravings memorized by heart now. He walked up behind her and then sat down to hug her around the waist. âCome on, you're going to make yourself sick. Let's get you to bed.â
âI DON'T WANNA GO TO BED, I WANNA BABY!â She slammed her fists onto the table. âI'M ALREADY SICK! THAT AWFUL MAN SAID MY BODY CAN'T MAKE BABIES! I WANNA BE A MOMMY!â Learning that had been agonizing months ago, and it was agonizing now, and it appeared Daisy would never be over this fact. But as Donald counted the bottles on the table, he found with depressing relief that at this stage of her fits, she would eventually lose her strength and pass out.
He nuzzled his beak to her hair, tenderly grooming her as she'd failed to take care of herself for many days now. âWhen was the last time you ate anything? You're going to be nauseous with all that booze in your belly and not a bit of dinner in you.â
âI don't want dinner.â On cue, Daisy's screaming began to lose its power, though she hadn't stopped crying. âIt's not fair...I want to dress a cute little girl in kimonos, I want a sweet little boy to help me with chores...I want to teach them the ways of the world, and hear them call me mama, and play with them, and love them! Why do I have all this love in my heart if I have no one to give it to? It's not faiiir...â
In a way, this was worse than her screams, if only because Donald understood this agony all too well. He too wanted a living piece of his and Daisy's unity, a bouncing boy on his knee, a girl to tuck into bed and wish sweet dreams. This house was so empty now, and each passing day it made the two of them feel more and more lonely. âI'm going to get you something to eat,â he said after a kiss to the cheek. âEven better, I'll get you some peaches. Your favorite food.â He wasn't sure if anyone would be open at this time of night, but he was desperate to find some ray of happiness for his wife, no matter how small.
âOkay,â her mumble was small and pathetic, a sliver of the powerful woman he'd fallen head over heels for. She made no effort to get up or clean herself, instead spelling out potential baby names in the spilled sake. Donald barely made out a âMiâ and maybe a âkeyâ. He gave her another tender kiss before leaving her side and exiting the house. He knew that he should tell her about the contents of the letter, but he couldn't bear the thought of hurting her more than she was already suffering. A good husband was supposed to be able to keep his wife safe and happy, and it looked like he was unable to do either. What pride was to be found here?
He was ready to march into the village and knock on every door to find a fresh supply of peaches, when a familiar color caught the corner of his eye. He turned his head and saw, to his great surprise, a single peach floating in the stream. He stared at it for a few seconds longer, amazed at the sheer coincidence. Was this perhaps a sign from the gods that things were not as hopeless as they seemed? Or were they throwing a starving dog a chewed up bone? Either way, he decided not to miss his chance, and quickly dashed to the stream, plucking the fruit out of the water. There appeared to be a thin line pressed to one side, and Donald dismissed it as a result of imperfect growth.
Pleased, he returned to the inside. Daisy groggily lifted her head. âI thought you were gunna get me some peaches.â
âSome soul abandoned theirs,â Donald replied, heading to the kitchen. âStay right there, I'll cut you a nice big slice.â He picked up a kitchen knife, and held up the peach, gazing thoughtfully at it. He would have loved to teach his children how to use a sword, the way his own father taught him. Though Donald had a bad temper and could be clumsy, his parents loved him and his sister without question, and his childhood was a fond one. To think he'd never recreate such an experience... it pained him deeply, and he was so certain he had been meant to be a father. He knew that no matter kind of child he had, he would have also loved them without question, without exception, and would have done anything for their happiness.
âI wish I had a child,â he said quietly, âEven if they were no bigger than a peach pit.â
He flipped the knife in his hands â though it had been some time since he was a seasoned warrior, his skills with the blade were still unmatched. He sliced the entire peace in half with one clean strike, and admired his handiwork for a brief second. Placing the knife aside, he pulled off the top half of the peach -
And stopped dead in his tracks.
Daisy, for her part, was growing impatient. âDonald, what's taking so long?â Frustrated, she wobbly stood up to her feet and made way to the kitchen. Donald was frozen solid, one hand in the air holding half of the peach, his eyes wide and his jaw dropped. âYou didn't cut yourself, did you?â It felt silly to ask, since she too knew of Donald's fantastic skills with any sharp object. Even so, he didn't answer her, nor did he appear to hear her in the first place. âIs it rotten? Is there a worm in it?â Yet Donald wasn't so squeamish as to be so deeply affected by gross aspects of nature, and Daisy finally looked at the other half of the peach in Donald's other hand.
She too stopped dead in her tracks.
A long moment of silence stretched out between them, even as they turned their heads to look at each other, quietly confirming that their partner was indeed seeing the exact same thing they were seeing. They then slowly looked back at the peach, where, lying where a pit was supposed to be, was a small baby boy, a black-furred mouse that was enjoying a good nap while sucking his thumb.
âIt's a baby,â Daisy finally said, the words feeling dumb off her tongue.
âIt can't be,â Donald countered, despite seeing the evidence in front of his face.
The tiny thing twitched, and then began to yawn, deciding now was a good time as any to get up. He couldn't have been more than a month old, if they had to guess. He opened his eyes, blinking back at the giant strangers, and smiled, letting out a happy giggle as his tiny hands reached out.
That giggle was all it took to sober Daisy up. âIt is a baby!â She squealed, and then she reached forward, gently trying to scoop him up in her fingers. âHellooo, aren't you a delight!â
Donald dropped both sides of the peaches, letting them splatter to the floor â the baby was already in Daisy's palm and enjoying the stay. âWhat are you doing?!â He squawked, flailing and pointing at the thing in his wife's hand. âYou â don't touch that, you don't know where it's been!â
âIt's been in a peach, of course.â Daisy cradled the child in one hand, using her other to lovingly smooth down the mouse's fur, and the baby laughed from the accidental tickle. âHe is a bit sticky, we should give him a bath. Don't you worry now, we're going to get you all cleaned up.â
âWe?â Donald repeated, still expecting to wake up from this hallucination. âWho is this we?â
âWho else would I mean?â Daisy said with a bit of tsking. âDonald, don't you see? This is a gift from the gods, our prayers have finally been answered!â
âA gift!â Donald's infamous temper began to rise up and show its ugly head. âOh sure, when I pray to be a millionaire, that goes unanswered, but this is what they listen to? You must more drunk than usual â that isn't a gift, it's a curse! Look at it!â
âStop calling him it!â Daisy began to move around the table, trying to find a good place to bathe the baby in. âHe's a boy, and now he's our boy. Ah, here we go!â She took a small wooden bowl from the cupboard and placed the child inside. He made no fuss about the delivery, and never stopped smiling up at Daisy. âA perfect fit. Aren't you cute? Mama will take good care of you.â
âYou are not its â his â whatever's Mama!â Donald grabbed Daisy by the arm, forcing her to look at him. âBe reasonable! That thing could die just by rolling off the counter or one of us sitting on it! It can't be a real child, and we can't take care of it!â
Donald had married Daisy for many reasons, and one of those reasons was that she was as strong as he was. As such, Daisy had no issue suddenly snatching his wrist and twisting his arm back. âDonald Fauntleroy Duck, if you take this child from me, the Oni will seem like angels compared what I'll do to you.â She kept twisting and twisting until Donald was sure it'd pop out of its socket at any given second. âDo we have an understanding?â
Donald make a pained âeeeâ sound while crumbling to his knees that Daisy took as an affirmative. âGood. I'm glad we had this talk.â She released his arm and then turned back to the child who blinked up at her in confusion. âAwww, it's okay! Mama was just having a tiny disagreement. But it's okay! Mama will never ever let anything happen to you.â She reached into the cup to fondly stroke the child's big black ear, and he wound up giggling again. âMama will always take care of you.â
Donald rose back to his feet, rubbing his aching arm. He watched Daisy coo over the baby, and his anger grew even hotter. A gift? That was supposed to be the answer to their grief? A baby they couldn't hold, who'd be in danger every passing second, who could never lift even a cup or play around with other children? It was unnatural, and unfair, and his fingers rolled up into fists. For the first time, he had found something he could take no pride in.
âYou may be its mother,â he growled, and began to storm off. âBut that will never be my son!â
Daisy glanced at the direction Donald had marched off to, and her face began to fall. For all her fawning, she didn't want to do this alone. Why couldn't Donald be as happy as she was? The size would be a problem, yes, but what child didn't come with its own unique set of problems? That was part of living, a part of life itself. As if able to pick up on her sadness, the baby began to make a distressed noise, moving his little arms. Daisy quickly turned her attention back to him, shushing as she stroked his face. âIt's okay, it's okay...he'll come around, I know he will. He's just stubborn, that's all. One day, he'll accept you...we just have to be patient, don't we?â
Yes, he would be like any child, and like any child, he needed a name. âI have been waiting for so long to give this name away... and now, I can finally call it. You will always be our darling little Mickey.â

Marinaâs Breaktime Writing
This is unrelated to the prompts as this is something else I wrote during my break/lunch today.
So basically I literally just grab my phone and start writing out whatever comes to mind, trying to keep it relatively short so it doesnât lag (my phone is... not so good, but Iâm just grateful to have a phone so). Last week I was on a roll with my ââfalling in love from the outside perspectiveâ writings, which actually arenât finished.
This is not part of that continuity. This is a completely different universe. I just wrote and it happened.
So context: in this universe, Donald and the nephews live in a house on the land, and are not estranged from Scrooge (after Dellaâs disappearance, he and Scrooge fell out for a bit before their family/loved ones forced them to sit down and talk it out). And Everett Ducklair is Donaldâs eccentric genius inventor next-door-neighbor who has âtriplet sonsâ (who are, in fact, actually androids who enjoy spending their free time in their back yard, keeping up everything for Everett while he works, and occasionally working with him in his basement lab) named Uno, Due and Tre (the latter two of whom eventually take the names Duegemo and Solomon instead). Uno, Due and Tre (pre-Solomon Tre) are identical, except for their eye colours (Tre eventually changes how he looks when he becomes Solomon). Donald is not a superhero (sadly), just your typical single father... who happens to be a semi-retired adventurer who is the beloved nephew (and one of the only living heirs, and first in line at that) of the worldâs richest duck, Scrooge McDuck. You know, just your typical Neighbor AU. Except with adventures, androids and magic. Yeah.
Donald thought there was something... off about his new neighbors.
There were three ducks around his own age, maybe slightly younger. They spent a lot of time in the back yard, completely identical but for the colours they wore- which, strangely enough, seemed to mimic Donald's nephews' colours.
Their personalities, from what Donald observed, were completely opposite, though. The one in green seemed to be the leader of their trio, the other two following him and his directions as they did one thing or another. The one in red seemed disinterested in everything around him, just doing what he was asked to do. The one in blue was quiet, rather reserved, and seemed to butt heads with the one in green much more often than the one in red did.
Donald could only assume they were triplets as his gaze slid back to his own four-year-old nephews, running around their own yard. Donald stepped out onto the porch, calling them over for snacks and lemonade- in the bright summer sun, they needed to keep hydrated.
Donald glanced over towards his neighbors as the children crowded around the table he'd put the shortbread cookies down on, and his eyes met the green-clad neighbor's.
His eyes were green, Donald registered before Dewey was grabbing his arm, demanding his attention. The duckling was babbling about his new toy plane- new to him, anyway, unknown to the duckling the faded blue plane had belonged to Donald's sister. The triplets' mother.
He smiled as Dewey showed him the secret compartment that Huey had noticed on the bottom. He remembered when Della found it for the first time. How excited sheâd been. Just as excited as Dewey was now.
"That's awesome!" Donald laughed, glancing at Louie's frisbee as it flew past him. "Louie, be careful where you're throwing that," he warned without missing a beat. "You almost hit me."
"Unca' Donald!" Huey grabbed onto his shirt, holding Donald's old boat up to show him the faded writing on the side. "What- what's this say?"
Ever the curious one, he chuckled. "It says HMS Duck," he told the child, ruffling his nephew's head feathers. It used to say more than that, but the writing was so faded that it was negligible.
"Like our name?"
"Like our name."
"Unca' Donald!" Louie suddenly cried, and Donald's attention snapped over to his youngest in concern. Louie was pointing towards the tree near the fence, and Donald followed his gaze to find the acid green frisbee stuck in its branches. "My fris!"
Donald did not want to climb that tree, but Louie's eyes were welling up with tears and he knew if Louie cried then Dewey and Huey would start crying, too.
"I'll get it," he promised the duckling, gently patting his head and going towards the tree. He quickly pulled himself up- after being dragged into mountain climbing with Della and Uncle Scrooge, trees were nothing- and climbed up to the branches the frisbee was in. He inched his way along, holding tightly to a parallel branch, knowing very well the branches weren't the most steady things in the world.
He reached out for the frisbee, but was just a few inches short. He took a careful step. Still out of reach. One more sliding step and- got it!
It was about that moment that the branch he was holding onto broke, and with a wak! Donald was sent to the ground (hitting a few branches along the way).
The triplets cried out, their voices somewhat muffled, and Donald blinked the stars from his eyes and noticed a pair of feet in front of him.
"Are you alright?"
Donald looked up to find his green-clad neighbor looking down at him, seeming somewhat concerned. It then hit Donald that he fell on the other side of the fence.
"I'm fine!" Donald answered quickly, pushing himself up. He briefly noticed he fell in the neighbors' flowerbed. Hopefully they weren't like neighbor Jones...
The green neighbor offered Donald a helping hand up as his red and blue brothers hurried over behind him.
"Our petunias!" The red one cried, looking offended as his brother pulled Donald up to his feet.
"Sorry!" Donald quickly apologized, holding up the frisbee. "My nephew's frisbee got stuck in the tree- I didn't realize it was on your side of the fence-"
"Is everything alright out here?"
The three neighbors looked towards their house door, and Donald followed suit. The duck at the door was one Donald hadn't seen before, his hair black and pulled back in a ponytail. A grease stain on his cheek and the wrench in his (dirty) apron pocket immediately clued Donald in that he was probably an inventor or mechanic of some kind, just like Uncle Ludwig.
"Yes, father," the three neighbors chorused before the one in green expanded with, "Our neighbor fell out of the tree."
Donald didn't have time to dwell on his strange neighbors as three little voices called him from the other side of the fence, and he turned his attention to his teary-eyed nephews.
"Unca' Donald, you didn't die, right?" Huey sniffled, staring up at him.
"I'm alright, boys," he assured, glancing awkwardly at his neighbors. The blue and red ones seemed to have lost interest in him, instead going over to speak with their father. The green one, however, watched Donald and his nephews with something akin to curiosity. "Er... sorry about your petunias," Donald said.
"It's alright."
"I'm Donald Duck," Donald decided to say, realizing heâd never even so much as greeted his neighbors. He knew nothing about them- they probably didnât know anything about him, either.
The green-clad neighbor seemed to hesitate for just a moment. "Uno Ducklair," he finally said.
"Nice to meet you, Uno."

"Stay here and rest. We canât have your cough coming back."
Nier sentence meme
âAw, what!? Câmon I can---â Just as soon as he says that, heâs letting out an awful sneeze. That one could probably give Donaldâs âwakâ a run for its money! Sora can only sniffle at that, rubbing the bottom of his nose with the back of his hand and a loud sniffle. Okay, so maybe she has a point. Just because heâs a little on the sick end doesnât mean he canât help out!
âYou gotta let me do something! Iâm gonna get cabin fever!â Youâre already at the fever stage, Sora.

Hey uh can you write a story where the reader is getting bullied at twlight town and people are making fun of reader insulting her face and her looks and Sora has enough with this abuse and decide to stand up for her and Olette also stand up for her too
Thatâs it. (Sora x bullied female reader.)
(Warning: mean things being said. A bit of violence.) ïżŒ
Sora was visiting Twilight Town after a ton of begging. He said that he wanted to find more clues to finding Roxas and NaminĂ©. But,that wasnât the only reason why he wanted to come here. Sora wanted to visit you. After seeing you a couple times he couldnât help But,want to see you again. Sora happily walked towards the usual spot. âWak! Where are you going?!â Donald asked. âTo the usual spot. I want to visit the Twilight Town gang.â He said smiling. âI think thatâs a good idea. Maybe they found something about Roxas.â Goofy agreed. The trio were on their way when Sora spotted you. You looked worried. â(Y/n)!â He said with a smile on his face. âSora?â You asked not turning around. You couldnât let him see you not like this. After all you couldnât even let your sister look at you. What would happen if Sora saw you? You didnât want to know. Because you kinda liked him. Plus you werenât even that pretty. So, you took off running. âWait! (Y/n)!â Sora said. He turned to his friends. â(Y/n) where are you?!â Olette asked frowning. âHey, we just saw her.â Sora said frowning. âYeah. She was going that way.â Goofy said pointing in the way you went. âLetâs look together.â Sora said. She nodded and they tried to look for you in the woods. You stood in front of the old mansion. âWhat should I do?â You asked frowning. You took one look at your arm. It had a bump on it. You wanted help. But,in the deepest part of your mind something was stopping you. Maybe it was because your bullies were right. You closed your eyes remembering everything.
You were sitting by the sandlot writing a letter to Sora. Of course you werenât going to send it or anything like that. You just wanted to say thank you to him. Because you could tell how hard he has been working. You looked up at the sunset sky. It probably sounded like you were being clingy or something. That is why you didnât tell anyone about it. Suddenly someone sat next to you. Oh no, it was Shuka and Yuu. These two girls hated you. âWell,what do we have here?! Look, Yuu itâs the baby!â Shuka said pushing you a bit. âShouldnât your sister be baby sitting you.â Yuu said. âN-No I can look after myself.â âWhat is this?â She asked in a taunting tone. Yuu took your letter. âCan you please give that back?â You asked. âLet me think...no! Besides this is too much fun.â She said. The two of them read your letter to Sora. Afterwards they began to laugh. âLet me get this strait...you like Sora?!â Shuka laughed. You were blushing and you couldnât say a word. All because your heart was beating at the thought. âW-Why do you care?â You asked. These girls saw him even more rare than you did. That was when Yuu looked at you. âListen to me. You arenât pretty enough to have anyone! In fact no one wants you! You can just leave this place and no one would care.â Yuu said looking at you. âI bet your foster parents regret adopting you! Because your always crying to them! You cause so much trouble for everyone including your sister. So,why would Sora want you?!â Shuka yelled. âThatâs not true...my sister and Sora care about me.â You cried. That Yuu pushed you down. âGet this in your dumb head! You are ugly,a cry baby and stupid. No one wants you around!â She said kicking you. Shuka tore up your letter and said. âIf you tell someone...it will get worse for you.â You were crying because she kicked you so hard. Her words set in as well. That was when she kicked your arm hard. The girls left you broken. You looked at your torn letter. You couldnât tell anyone about your problem not even your best friend. Your sister.
You began to cry. You didnât want those girls to hurt you again. So,the best thing to do. Was to hide your feelings and pretend that everything was okay. While avoiding those girls. You heard footsteps and took a mad dash for the mansion. It was the only way for you to calm down. You had to be alone. âIâm sorry...but,I donât want to see you right now.â You thought running into a room. You hid in the corner as you heard Sora and your sis calling your name. You heard someone come in. You dried your tears and pretended that everything was okay. âThere you are. Your sister and I have been looking for you.â A familiar voice said. It was Sora. You looked out the window. Trying not to show him your tears. â(Y/n)? Whatâs wrong?â He asked. âNothing. I-I just wanted to explore.â You lied still not looking his way. You frowned upon realizing that you were alone with Sora. He walked up to you. The two of you stood there in silence. But,Sora didnât like this. This wasnât like you. You would usually want to talk to him. Ask him if he was doing well. You asked him all kinds different kind of things and you helped out in any way you could. That was something that he could appreciate. Plus you would be happy to see him. Maybe he said something last time he came to visit. âAre you mad at me?â He asked. You shook your head. âNo. Itâs just...what do you...think about me?â You asked him. Sora blushed. He couldnât tell you the truth. But,he couldnât lie either. âWell, youâre really caring. I see the way you treat others. Even strangers. I donât think Iâve ever met someone quite like you.â He said looking at you. You didnât know how to respond to that. Was Sora right or was those girls right? You didnât know who to believe. You wanted to believe him. But, what they said just lingered in your head. No matter how much you told yourself that youâre okay. You arenât. âLetâs go find your sister.â Sora said smiling. You smiled and went with him. âI was so worried about you.â She said hugging you. You wanted to push her away and tell her that you didnât need your sis to look after you. After all the two of you are the same age. But, you didnât want to hurt her feelings. âLetâs go get you some ice cream.â She said smiling. âSounds good to me.â You said smiling.
All of you went to get ice cream. You were almost there. When Sora suggested. âLetâs race.â âOkay. Are you in (Y/n)?â Olette said smiling. You nodded. Maybe you were going to be okay. âReady...go!â She said. You slowly walked at first. The two of them were confused by this and stopped. That was when you took off running. âI fall for that every time...â Olette sighed. You had a huge smile on your face. You were going to win. That was when you bumped into someone and this person tripped you. Causing you to fall. You shook your head and was about to get up. However, this was when you got a good look at the person. âOh. Iâm sorry did I trip you?â Yuu asked. You got up. But, Shuka pushed you again. âBoy you arenât just ugly...but,youâre clumsy too.â She said. They were going to say a couple of mean things and let you go. This was until they saw your friends. âYouâre a cry baby! I canât believe that you actually had the nerve to tell them!â Yuu said looking very angry. âNo. I didnât tell them...honest.â You said looking afraid. âYouâre lying!â Shuka said. You shook your head. âTime to pay up.â Yuu said about to punch you. Only someone grabbed her wrist. âGet your hands off my sister!â Olette yelled. âWhy are you defending her?! Sheâs worthless little cry baby.â âNo she isnât!â Your sister yelled. âLook at her! She isnât even that pretty!â Shuka said about to hit you. Sora hugged you tightly wanting to take the hit. But,Donald and Goofy defended you. âThese girls donât appreciate your kindness (Y/n).â Goofy said looking angry. âOh,please! (Y/n) letâs us have fun with her! In fact she deserves everything that we do to her!â Yuu said. âThatâs enough! You must be blinded by your jealousy to say something like that! (Y/n) hasnât done anything wrong!â Sora yelled. You grabbed Soraâs hand. âSheâs right....just look at me...â You whispered. She has already pushed you down and causing your cheek to have a big scratch on it. That was when he finally realized what happened. Sora looked at you as you didnât want to be seen. That was when he snapped. âHow could you do this to someone who is this sweet?!â Sora asked yelling. He summoned his keyblade and this scared the girls off. They must have realized how serious he was. â(Y/n) are you okay?â Sora asked frowning. You didnât look at him. That was realizing that you were crying. âWeâll go get a first aid kit.â Your sis said going into the restaurant. She was leaving you with Sora. He embraced you. âShhh. Everything is going to be okay. Youâre safe now.â Sora said as you cried. âListen theyâre wrong about you.â âI donât know Sora...â You cried. âI do. Iâve learned so much while on my journey. But,you taught me very important lessons...â âI did?â You asked. Sora has been to all kinds of different places. What did you teach him? He nodded. âOh yeah. One of them was to look at a personâs heart not their looks. You care about everyone here. No matter how they look.â Sora said hugging you. âWeâre back.â Olette said before opening the box.
She sprayed medicine on your deep cuts. You looked away kinda in pain. It stung a bit. Sora held your hand as she put bandages on your cheek and knees. âHere drink this.â Sora then said giving you an elixir. You shook your head. âYou need this for battle...â You said frowning. âItâs okay we have more.â Sora said with a smile. All your friends were too good to you. âI canât believe those girls! How dare they say things like that you? Donât worry. Iâll make sure that they wonât do anything to you again.â She said. You dried your tears. âAre you feeling a little better?â Sora asked you. You slowly nodded and continued on. Suddenly Sora stopped in his tracks. You stopped as well. His face was red. âSora?â âC-Can I do something?â He asked you. You nodded. He kissed you gently on head before looking away. You could feel the blush on your face. Sure this was just a kiss on your head. But,to you it felt a little more than that. You needed it and he knew that. You looked down lost in thought. Sora knew exactly what you needed. But,how? Only your parents and sister really knew what you needed to feel better. Everyone had a different something to help them cheer up. And yours was a kiss on your head. âIâm sorry if that was too much.â Sora said frowning. He didnât want to know what would happen if he actually kissed you on the lips. âNo itâs okay.â You said blushing. In fact you wanted him to do it again. But, you couldnât ask. Maybe shyness took over you. You didnât know. As the two of you got ice cream Sora couldnât help but,want to hold your hand. He didnât know if you would want that. Sora didnât want to push you. Into doing something that you didnât want to do. Because that wasnât right. You smiled as your sister hugged you. âHer smile is so bright. I love it so much.I have to protect this place for everyone including her. I have to keep fighting the darkness.â Sora thought looking at you. After what happened today you became his driving force even more than before. When all of this was over he will spend time with you and try to confess. But,he knows very little about love. He had to go for that goal.

So basically I wanted to write this certain specific ship and ended up writing a Legend of the three caballeros fic.
Word Count: 1400
Pairings: You can't prove this isn't canon
Rating: PG
âHere, you see!â Xandra looked like she had to resist the urge to jump up and down like an excited puppy. âFinally, we have reached the peak of Mount Olympos, the land of the Gods! Or to be exact a kinda conference centre for gods these days.â
âImpressive,â JosĂ© nodded approvingly.
âCool,â Donald said. He decided to add a one or two impressed 'aahs' just in case.
âI have never seen anything quite like this!â Panchito exclaimed.
The three caballeros stared at the almost empty plateau. Empty except for a big but otherwise unimpressive rock and a tiny shack next to it. The rock wasn't even a nice colour. The paintjob on the shack had seen better days.
A tumbleweed had the good sense and the comedic timing to roll by. It hit the shack. The shack collapsed.
JosĂ© reached to whisper the other two: âIt's not that impressive, right?â
âLet her have her fun,â Panchito said. He clapped a few more times for emphasis.
âI think she was stuck in the book a few millenia too long,â Donald mumbled.
âOh, sorry,â Xandra said. âI forgot it's shielded from mortal eyes. By the way you guys are super easily impressed. Just let me drop the illusion...â
She snapped her fingers and suddenly the group was surrounded by a party of godlike-beings similar to their guide.
âAAH!!!â
âYeah isn't it great?â Xandra said. She waved at the gods and mythical creatures who were drinking and playing petanque. âWe'll get the help we need and- OH! Look!!! It's Odin! Hey how's it hanging?â
The one-eyed god gave her a nod and returned to refilling the punch bowl.
Xandra grasped her hands. âIt's been so long! I can't wait to see all of my friends and-â
She was interrupted by a voice that sounded like the jingle of a thousand silver bells in the spring breeze. âXaaandra my dear~!â
Donald watched Xandra visibly tense.
She turned towards the voice, the widest fake smile on her face. âOoooh hello. It's been a whiiile.â
She pushed the three birds to the forefront. âI didn't expect to see you here at all! What a coincidence! Have you met the three caballeros?â She straightened Donald's hat. âMy champions. Gonna save the world. No biggie.â
She poked JosĂ©'s back. âTry to stand a bit straighter,â she whispered.
âWhat's with her all of a sudden?â Donald asked.
He narrowed his eyes. The tall woman with golden curls seemed to shine almost... She was certainly beautiful but Donald couldn't help feel distrust towards the figure. Almost like she had wronged him in the past. Did he know her..?
JosĂ© put a hand on his shoulder. âMy dear Donald, it's really quite clear for one who understands the heart of a woman.â
Panchito set his hand on Donald's other shoulder. âIt really is, amigo.â
The lady gave them a look. âHow cute. New pets of yours? Oh no sorry I realize I misunderstood.â
She batted her eyelashes at Xandra. âYou finally found yourself in a company of equals. Good for you. You can find someone very lovely and backstab her ruthlessly.â
Donald gasped as he noticed the blindfold hanging around her neck. âCould it be..?â
JosĂ© nodded. âExactly, clear as day.â
Panchito joined in. âThey used to run a clown school together.â
âExactly, they-â JosĂ© shook his head. âWait what. NO! Obviously they used to date!â
Xandra leaned in close to the other woman. âHahaha! I am doing very well and don't need you at all! I'm happy and an independent goddess that's me!â
Panchito shrugged. âThese sort of things can be very emotional. Poor ladies, forced to abandon their dreams of bringing joy to children everywhere...â
The golden-haired woman put her hands on her hips. âThat's not what you said when you walked out on me! The nerve! After the greatest betrayal known to man!â
âThat's not how I remember it! And you were always a lousy kisser! Who'd be crying after you and drowning her sorrows in chocolate because she will never get her dream wedding!?â
âYou never call! Did our love mean nothing to you?â
âI WAS TRAPPED IN A BOOK!â
José and Donald turned to look at Panchito.
He shrugged. âWhat? I never said they weren't also exes. Take it from me, it's always best to not mix romance and the attempts at clown schooling reformation. Very messy. Custard pies everywhere.â
âAnyway!â Xandra exclaimed. âI am very busy with my current project of saving the world.â She only now seemed to notice the way the three caballeros were looking at her. âThis is Lady Luck. Fortuna. A layabout extraordinaire.â
Fortuna moved her perfect brow into a frown. âSays someone who just took a holiday for a week? Thousand years?â
âHello? A magical book? Being imprisoned?â
âLike that time you were eaten by a Hydra and couldn't make it to our anniversary?â Fortuna mumbled. âOr the time you had to leave my birthday party early to go clean some stables? Left me in a rain all by myself to go girdle-shopping?â
Xandra ignored her, pulled out her spear and stroke a pose. âBut now I have returned and have found my champions. What have you been doing?â
âSharing joy and sorrow, bringing down empires, keeping things interesting, you know. The usual.â Fortuna waved her hand. âWell I got a champion too!â
An explosion of golden sparkles and four leaf glovers appeared, and in the midst of it-
âOh no,â Donald said. âNot him.â
âOh hi cuz.â
âDo you know this strange goose, Donald?â JosĂ© asked.
âYeah, he's my cousin. Ugh...â
The goose, dressed in the golden toga walked to the three caballeros. âGladstone Gander,â he poked Donald's bill. âAt your service.â
Fortuna hurried to him. âOh nono, my little baby boy don't touch the common rabble.â
She pulled Gladstone away and handed him a hand-wipe. âI don't think bad dressing sense and overall aura of failure is infectious but no harm being too careful.â
Gladstone wiped his hand and dropped the wipe on the floor.
âHey! Littering!â Donald pointed at it.
Fortuna ruffled Gladstone's hair. âAww, but he looked so stylish and cute doing it.â
âHe is right,â JosĂ© said. âIf I had any money I'd give it to him just because he deserves it for brightening our day. Truly, I have never seen anyone litter in a way that justifies the very action through the inherent beauty involved.â
Panchito pulled out a half-eaten chocolate bar from his pocket. âHere, have this.â He reached out his hand. âI have been saving it for the celebration for when we save the world but you deserve it more.â
Gladstone made a face. âI don't want it. Eww, it's half-eaten.â
Panchito's face fell. âAw.â
âJust one champion?â Xandra laughed. âHe will bring the terrible Lord Felldrake down in a fight to the death?â
Gladstone yawned. âSounds like too much work.â
âYes he will!â Fortuna exclaimed.
âOh yeah?â Xandra pushed close enough for their noses to touch. âThat a promise?â
âYes!â
âThe same kinda promise you made when you told me you'd water my favourite potted plant when I was away fighting the Jörmungandr?â
âI did water it!â
âYour pet rabbit ate it!â
âAnd got stomach pains! You ruthless beast!â
Fortuna crossed her arms. âCome! My champion! We are obviously not wanted here! I know sooo many better parties!â
Gladstone waved goodbye. âSee ya-â
They disappeared in an angry explosion of diamonds and horseshoes. One horseshoe hit Donald in the face.
âWAK!â
Xandra shook her fist at the spot they had stood in a few seconds ago before turning to the three birds.
âFrom now on we'll train every day! To beat her and her goofy little stink goose!â
âAnd save the world, right?â JosĂ© said.
âWhat? Yes, of course.â
Xandra pulled Donald up. âCome on, we can't let people see you like this.â
The little squabble hadn't drawn any attention from the partying gods. Almost like they were very used to things like that.
âDo you think you could wear a wig?â Xandra asked. âA very shiny wig?â
Donald let out a groan.

Who Are You part 4
Whoo! Part 4! Here we go! And thank you to @kalosqueen27â for the amazing ideas!
Warnings: everyone grab your tissues! Luxord cameo (Iâm going with the theory that he is the passenger guy at the end of Re:Mind)Â
Sora watched as his heart gets shattered into a million pieces. How can (Y/N) forget about him?! His baby?! The one who he felt confident in giving the Paopu fruit to. He watched as his first date gets turned to Yazoraâs first date. Giving Sora his good luck charm. Not his anymore. He pulled out the real thing and started crying. He watched and watched until it got to him giving (Y/N) the Paopu fruit. He watched as Yazora gave (Y/N) the Paopu fruit. That did it for himÂ
BABY! NO! YAZORA! GIVE ME BACK MY BABY RIGHT NOW!Â
Sora grabbed (Y/N)âs hand tighter but she didnât feel anything. She was enjoying getting her âmemoriesâ back. Sora couldnât take it anymore. He hugged her with all his might to try to get her to feel him.Â
Baby...I love you so much...
~Flashback~Â
Today is Saturday. The day of your 1 year anniversary with Sora. God you were so nervous with the gift you prepared for him. It was a good luck charm that you made with the help of Kairi.Â
You paced around your living room as you held the wrapped up gift while Kairi was trying to calm you down.Â
â(Y/N). Itâs gonna be okay. Heâs gonna love the charm you made him.â She said.Â
âBut what if he doesnât? What if he thinks itâs so bad that he breaks up with me?!âÂ
âIâve known Sora a little longer than you. That means that I know that he will love the good luck charm that you made.â Just then there was a knock at the door.Â
âYay! That must be him!â Kairi squealed. You gulped feeling your hands sweat.Â
â(Y/N). You got this!â She opened the door and let Sora in.Â
âHey, baby.â Sora smiled at you. You smiled back nervously at him and looked at Kairi. She gave you a reassuring smile and mouthed saying to go for it.Â
âU-um. Here.â You handed him the box that held the charm and Sora took it.Â
âReally! For me? Wow, now I feel bad for not getting you anything.â he opened the gift and came out the charm that you made.Â
âD-Do you like it?â You asked.Â
âLike it? I love it! Thank you so much baby!â he pulled into a gigantic bear hug and twirled you around.Â
âCareful, Sora! Do you know long it took me to do her hair and makeup?!â Kairi exclaimed.Â
âWhoops. Sorry.â he gently put you down and gave you a small kiss on the lips.Â
âOkay, you two. Go enjoy your anniversary.â Kairi said.Â
âWhat about you?â you asked.Â
âMe? Iâm gonna be binge watching some anime like I do every Saturday.â The three of you giggled. You and Sora then left to go enjoy your anniversary.Â
~Flashback Over~Â
Sora hugged (Y/N) so tight to the point where his arms hurt. but she couldnât feel anything.Â
Please...fight for meÂ
He knew it was not worth the trouble. He knew you couldnât hear him.Â
Thank you for everything
~In Traverse Town~
Everyone made to Traverse Town and started searching for NaminĂ©. The Wayfinder Trio went to look in the First District, The Sea Salt Trio in the Second District, and Kairi, Riku, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in the third. Everyone searched for about an hour until Roxas sent everyone a message saying that he found her.Â
âHuh? (Y/N) lost her memories with Sora and replaced them with someone else?â NaminĂ© asked while trying to process this new information.Â
âYep. And we need your help to try and fins Sora and repair (Y/N)âs memories.â Roxas said. Â
âOh, boy. It may take a while since I havenât practiced my powers for a long time.âÂ
âItâs okay. Take your time, NaminĂ©.â Mickey said.Â
As NaminĂ© was trying to find out where Sora was, she noticed something wrong with the connection between you and Sora. It was as if it was fading.Â
âI-Iâm sorry. I wasnât able to find Sora. There was something wrong with the connection between him and (Y/N). Itâs like itâs fading almost.â NaminĂ© said sadly.Â
âWak! Thatâs impossible! Soraâs connection with (Y/N) is supposed to be strong.âÂ
âThatâs what we all thought. But since (Y/N) replaced Sora with someone else, that connection is fading.âÂ
âWhat happens when the connection fades?â Goofy asked.Â
â(Y/N) will forget Sora forever.â Everyone was shocked at NaminĂ©âs response.Â
âWe have to do something!â Kairi said. Just then, someoneâs phone rang. It was Rikuâs. He answered it. It was Ienzo and Even calling.Â
âHey, Even and Ienzo. Whatâs up?â Riku asked.Â
âWe know youâve been having trouble finding Sora and trying to restore (Y/N)âs memories. So we thought we might be of assistance,â Even said.Â
âReally? Because we could use some assistance right now,â Kairi said.Â
âDo any of you remember Luxord?â Ienzo asked. Everyone nodded their head.Â
âWell, we just received word that he might know where Sora is.â Even said.Â
âREALLY?!â Everyone said.Â
âYep! After he was recompleted, he was with someone named Yazora.â said Ienzo.
âThatâs the guy that (Y/N) is replacing Sora with,â Riku said.Â
âRight. If we can find a way into his world, we may be able to find a way to save Sora and properly restore (Y/N)âs memories.â Ienzo said.Â
âLetâs hope we can. Because if we donât, then (Y/N) will forget Sora forever,â Mickey said.Â
âThen I recommend that you get here as soon as possible,â Even said.Â
âWeâll be there tomorrow,â Riku said.Â
âSee you soon,â Ienzo said and hung up the call.Â
âWeâre coming Sora. Just hold on.â Riku said to himself.Â

So, Iâll be (OVER)analyzing this comic, Papo de Cabeça (Head Talk in the original, but Hairy Problem is better because the original is also a pun).
As I said, âItâs about Fethry arguing with the voices in his head and/or with himself. Also, itâs about sanity and his views on mental health professionals.â
Thereâs a lot of comics that give us some inside info on how Scrooge, Donald or even Gladstone think. But I think Fethry is complicated to write because he is marked as a neurodivergent character. In some Italian comics, the rest of the ducks actively hide stuff from Fethry to protect him. In Danish comics, he is portrayed as a very crazy and slightly dangerous individual, with tiny pupils and vacant creepy expressions to show it.
Well, Iâm gonna to obviously give a lot of spoilers of it, if you want to read the comic before that, please read it here.
So, in the first panel, they say that Fethry is particularly susceptible... The original word also mean gullible... I think itâs funny, that Fethry can trick people as a conman but heâs also very gullible and impressionable, especially when itâs about something Donald said... I wonder if he is more susceptible because he is too imaginative. In a lot of comics he is portrayed as a daydreamer; it makes sense to me.
(Iâm not gonna talk about Fethry problems with Scrooge because I did a post only about that not long ago)
A worried Donald asks him to go see a doctor. The plot is about mental health, but it is sweetened with the hair loss themed puns. The puns in this comic are... Ergh... Not very funny. I tried to translate them, but they sucked it the original, so Iâm sorry about that.
I love how Donald tries to reassure him that it isnât a big deal... And oh, Fethry gets very scared about getting âcrazyâ...
...And he starts talking with a strand of hair. He immediately knows that it isnât normal, so we can deduce that he normally doesn't talk to inanimate objects.
This is where things start to get interesting; Fethry hallucinates about a world where strands of hair and objects are people. But, SPOILER ALERT, itâs all just his imagination; he isnât seeing things, heâs just daydreaming in the office - he never left it.
It means that the hair arguing with him is himself and every other character reflects his opinions about the world. Letâs see what we can fish out of it! I love well-done dream-themed stories because they show a lot of the character whoâs building the world around them!
âYouâre not my conscience!â. Thanks, author, for telling us exactly what the hair represents. So, is this hair a kind of âsuper-egoâ? A voice that criticizes Fethry?
Interesting! ...So, Fethryâs conscience wants him to see a psychiatrist? Well... Been there, buddy.
...Oh, my goodness. That was heavy. You see, the only weird thing that happens before that is that he suffers a small hair loss, Fethry doesnât break or ruin anything in this comic. He clearly isnât talking about this comic in particular. He is talking about himself...
Ouch, this monologue is starting to get depressing or maybe I just can relate to that too much. He is talking to himself that living in his head is a punishment.
Okay letâs turn this analysis up to eleven. All the âprofessionalsâ in this comic are crazier than Fethry. Of course it can reflect the authorâs view on the theme, but it can also be Fethryâs opinion. Letâs go with the latter because itâs more fun!
This guy isnât even interested in hearing about Fethryâs problem. Heâs just inferring everything and giving him a stupid and impossible âsolutionâ. ...Been there, and itâs unnerving.
Fethryâs conscience seems to be very sure that he got problems in his head. Again, the guy refuses to listen toI him!
The couch start throwing a lot of jargon at him! And he canât even understand what the âdoctorâ is saying;Â
âItâs a typical case.â
âWe will have to do a session on [cryptic word/method he canât understand].â
âA childhood trauma caused this.â
Since everything is happening in his head we can deduce that;Â
1- Fethry knows how a psychiatrist talk and the jargons because he probably already did sessions.
2- They never let him talk and he doesnât seem to like or trust them.
3- He probably heard the three phrases above from the mouth of a professional.
4- The door says âRaw Methodâ. Why raw? Why canât it be gentle, careful, thoughtful? What the heck did he went through?
Also I wanna point out that his âconscienceâ doesnât really want to leave the âdoctorâ.
Back to the real world, Donald is worried. Maybe Fethry went full catatonic while daydreaming and just kept staring at the wall... But I donât think so. Donald said a bold âWAK!â and that means he got scared of something sudden... My theory? Fethry, while delusional, shouted in real life âHELP!â. And he âgot backâ because Donald pulled him out of it talking with him, helping him...
And yeah, the ending. Fethry knows very well thereâs something wrong with him, and that he isnât supposed to be talking with a strand of hair. He locks away the part of his brain that is worried about his mental health and decides just to cut and silence it. He isnât really solving anything.
And thatâs probably because;
- He doesnât believe in psychiatrists.
- He tends to cover up problems and pretend they doesnât exist. (Example: Itâs always impressive how much energy he puts into ignoring Donald and Gladstoneâs fights and constant bickering. He denies it as much as he can.)
BUT REMEMBER
ITâS JUST A THEORY
A DUCK THEORY
