The Time Monster really is an iconic Classic Who serial -
Lots of people have to say "TOMTIT" repeatedly with straight faces
The Master announces himself by saying "I'm sorry about your coccyx too, Miss Grant"
The Doctor does backwards Twin Peaks Red Room speak
Mike gets charged by a guy with a lance, shot at with a canon and blown up by a V2 all in the space of five minutes
Sgt Benton (who is supposed to be on leave) I) manages to grasp a complex space time concept nobody else understands II) does not quite manage to eat a marmalade sandwich III) manages to get the jump on the Master twice IV) gets turned into a baby
There are some scientists of the week bickering about women's lib for no real reason
The Master cucks the King of Atlantis
The Brig gets so worried about Captain Yates he calls him Mike
The Doctor tells Jo about the time he was existentially depressed as a child and it's really sweet
Jo attempts to blow herself, the Master, and the Doctor up to save the universe because the Doctor can't bring himself to
When she wakes up she assumes she's I) dead II) 'in heaven or somewhere' and is fine with it - "groovy isn't it"
The Doctor insists on taking personal responsibility for The Master again over him facing external consequences and of course he escapes *sigh*
Kronos says gender is meaningless "But you're a girl" "Shapes mean nothing"
There's a minotaur

Signs and Placements That are Actually Dangerous
I'm not gonna include the random signs people say are dangerous because they'll fight or something like that. I'm talking about the thinkers, the masterminds, and people who don't need to be on the front lines to win a battle. They can sit back, relax, and ruin your life.
Tumblr media
Libra sun - Being someone who can just switch between personalities depending on where they are or who they are talking to. the sun hates being in Libra because the sun is all about me me me and Libra is about we we we. Libras pay attention to things and can make people like them. Really good at lying but usually they don't lie to harm. They usually don't get angry but if they are, they can beat Aries. Libras also really hold grudges. They may forgive but don't forget.
Scorpio Mercury - I know I said Scorpios aren't as mysterious and dangerous as people let them believe but when a sign like Scorpio is a truth seeker and lives in darkness is in mercury which has to do with thinking and communicating, it can be very interesting. They move in silence and they are very smart and analytical. Just like Libra, they hold grudges.
Virgo Mercury - Mercury absolutely loves Virgo. I mean what other sign is at home and exalted. acknowledging that they can be highly analytical and picky. they notice the smallest details and remember minute things that people would just brush off. Also like libras and Scorpios, they hold grudges and don't forget about wrongdoings easily
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mutable placements (Gemini, Virgo, Sag, Pisces) - Someone who is so adaptable and can be here and there all at once can be dangerous. And is it a coincidence that most serial killers have mutable placements? Like the 3 most famous serial killers are a Sag, Pisces, and a Gemini. I don't really want to write their names because I don't need that much of that energy here but if you want to look it up, you can.
Cancer Mars 8th house - It's already fallen but put in the 8th house? that just intensifies it. It's better for them to feel no way for you than hate you. Because if they hate you and they see you a little too much. They might want to do something not so nice. Cancers are the hardest to make mad and not because they just don't feel it, it's because it's being buried down. But naturally, it will all come back. A small question like, why didn't you take out the trash could tick them off and now they are unloading all of the things they couldn't say to the people they should have. Angry cancer mar is unstable and unsafe.
Cancer Moon - similar to Cancer Mars but it's at home I the moon. Cancer Moons could be a little emotionally manipulative because they understand emotions so well. It could be a good thing they understand them so well or a bad thing.

LORCH IS SOOOOOOO IN LURVE WITH INCEST I CANT STOP LOOKING AT HER STUPID FACE STUPID SEXY LORCH AND HER CRINGEFAIL MEDIA TASTE- 😤
Cough cough
Anyways,
It's extremely fucked up, actually, to make light of and profit off of the pain and abuse of others.
So, Lily Orchard is a serial abuser, lying manipulator, and routinely targets vulnerable people. She is accused of incestuous rape. This is all pretty serious, yeah?
So OBVIOUSLY the best way to combat this HEINOUS LOLC- I mean, abuser, is to uhhhhh
LAUGH AT BAD MEDIA TAKES HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Because uhhhhhhh
THIS IS.... "DEPLATFORMING" HER, YEAH, LETS CALL IT THAT.
OBVS PEOPLE CANT FIGURE OUT HOW BAD SHE BE UNLESS I STREAM EVERY OTHER DAY TAKING THE PISS OUT ON HER SHIT MEDIA TAKES CUZ THATS THE ONLY WAY PEOPLE WILL FIND OUT LOLOLOLOLLOL 🤪🤪🤪
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA I AM BEING SO HELPFUL MAKING FUN OF MOVIES AND TV SHOWS SHE LIKES LOOOOLLLLLL THIS IS GONNA HELP ABUSE AND RAPE VICTIMS FOR SURE IM SO SMART AND TALENTED AND FUNNY AND SMART LLOOOLLLL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So... how DOES that help anyone, anyways?
Making 20+ streams, only mocking someone because "SHE LIKE, JUST DOESNT GET IT LAWLLL" or "LOOOLLL HER TASTE IN MEDIA IS JUST SO BAAAAADDDD",
Genuinely, who does it help?
Does it help potential new victims from falling for her lies and being manipulated into vulnerable positions?
Does it help people who were emotionally gaslight and abused?
Does it help the rape victim?
okay okay we all already know the answer, yeah?
UHHHHH HER MEDIA TAKES ARE HOW SHE GETS AN AUDIENCEEEE SO LIKE OBVIOUSLY ITS GROOMING AND IS ALL PEDOINCEST SUBTEXT SO AKSHUALLY IM BEING A HERO CALLING OUT HOW BAD SHE BE AT PLAYING A VIDDY GAEM!!!!11!1!!!
Really now
So lets put it like this;
Some people who don't know any better watch some videos, they like some of it, they stick their nose in,
And what better way to save them from future grooming and abuse than to uh
*checks notes*
do nothing but relentlessly harass and use alts to secretly keep tabs on and perpetually stream about Lily Orchard, not really about any actual serious allegations, but just like "HAH!!! LORCH HAS SUCH BAD TASTE IN MEDIA! HAHAH! LORCH DOESNT UNDERSTAND DRAGON AGE!!!! HAHAHAH!!! LORCH IS SUCH A BAD CRITIC!!!!!!"
Sure, maybe after the fact you'll try to bring up Stockholm, and allegations, and all that stuff but
The damage is done.
You showed your whole ass revealing that you care more about shit media takes than rape, abuse, grooming, catfishing, incest, and habitual lying.
Now the allegations don't matter. You didn't start with the things that matter.
Your ass is out there profiting off of taking the piss out of things that don't matter. You look every bit the deranged shitty stalker Lily says you are.
And now? Now people tune you out. You've proven yourself to be a self-absorbed shitheel interested in profit and milking a lolcow, not in caring about people's safety. Not in caring about victims. Not in caring about anyone else but yourself.
You know whats really fucked up?
Puppeting around as the abusive rapist for a joke.
You know what's fucked up?
Continuing to antagonize and argue with the rape victim over your own hurt feelings.
You could ignore her, you know. You could be the adult.
You could acknowledge that she has a right to feel hurt about you making light of her trauma and abuse by playing dolls with your favorite lolcow, and she's not mentally well enough to rationally deal with the situation logically.
You are an adult.
You are not a victim in this situation.
But you can't stop. You're addicted to internet fights.
A mentally unstable rape victim calls you out for making her rape a mockery for profit and your response is to NO U at her and fight back like a child.
Sooooo who is this helping?
Is this helping victims? Is this helping abuse survivors? Is this helping potential new victims?
You already know the answer.
LAWLLLL WHO DAFUQ CARES IT MAKES ME MONEYYY LOLOLOLOL LES MILK DAT COOOOWWWWW!!!!1!!11!!! 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

kuro antis who love grelle either know fiction does not affect reality or they believe the people they consider immoral deserve abuse
let me elaborate...
one thing i will never understand is how many grelle fans (even madam red fans) in the kuro fandom are brutal antis / jokingly "sebastian haters" / "s3baci3l DNI or i will kill you" like it's so bizarre to me...
we watch sebastian get molested by madam red and constantly sexually harassed by grelle but it's fiction so like it doesn't matter... but they're antis. so why does it not matter to them? like i support women's rights and wrongs but come on
it's the whole "yana is amending her trans character since she's poorly written" and yet it's not like she's been completely retconned. she's still a "problematic" (loosely- same way antis use it) character.
it implies 2 things:
one, hypocrisy and how the 'holier than thou' disgusting proshitters dni rhetoric is actually bullshit because in the end, your pfps/fav character is a character who sexually assaults others
two, surely you understand that fiction ≠ reality because the sexual harassment sebastian receives from grelle isn't real and therefore it's okay to like grelle as a character because grelle is not a real person who perpetrates sexual harassment.
but those who say fiction = reality and still claim grelle as their fav are the most bizarre in my opinion. because that implies something. her actions are justified because they're against sebastian. surely the words baron kelvin said to o!ciel are clearly disturbing and uncomfortable. he's not a pretty female character like grelle but i would reckon if a female character behaved like he did, the kuro antis would hate them, just like many of them hate the viscount. but her and madam red's sexual advances towards sebastian are somehow okay, somehow comedic, while the sex jokes in the green witch arc between loli sieglinde & shota ciel is somehow far worse, despite also being painted as comedic (and also coming from a place of misunderstanding not genuine malicious desire)
because mentally they have convinced themselves that if it's a "bad" or "trash" character getting abused then it's okay. and if these people think fiction = reality, what does this say about their irl views? do they know any "sebastian"s in real life? people who they consider worthy of being sexually harassed? people whose boundaries are okay to cross because they're "bad", "immoral", "subhuman"?
i just think it's a bit uncomfortable to think these people claim to hate "predators" (because 'fiction affects reality') but the way they consume kuro is "omg love grelle, she's my absolutely fav ❤️❤️" as if she isn't a 'problematic' character... unless they truly think she isn't and her actions are justified if it was irl, since they think fiction is real. now that's where it gets scary.
this isn't to say i hate grelle or madam red or any of the characters or that yana was wrong for writing sexual harassment but genuinely... how can you say "fiction affects reality" and in the same breath have your fav be a serial sexual harasser ?? she's a legendary character but like antis have co-opted her into a cinnamon roll morally good girl as if she's not a badass unhinged morally gray woman
uhh don't go interact with any kuro fandom antis over this, this is just an opinion of mine and it's kinda been in the back of my brain for a while because these people are NOT consistent w their views at all

May I request a reader that hides behind them when she is overwhelmed or doesn’t wanna deal with people ? For Charles’s lee ray , Vincent Sinclair , the doctors and trickster (seperetly) fluff plz
a/n: it's pretty short sadly but i hope u enjoy it!! <3 anyways have u guys seen jiwoon nd yunjin's upcoming halloween cosmetics.... guys..... guys im down bad for them i fear...
includes: charles lee ray, vincent sinclair, the doctor, and the trickster.
warnings: typical slasher and dbd warnings, mentions of murder, i think it's pretty much just fluff but there might be some undertones of darker stuff?? like very very vague undertones that you'll probably honestly miss but. just stating it, in case.
Tumblr media
CHARLES LEE RAY
Charles would, in all honesty, probably tease you for hiding behind him of all people whenever you get overwhelmed. It wouldn't be malicious teasing or anything like that, though he definitely doesn't know when to stop.
In the beginning of your relationship, he probably won't say it, but he likes that you feel safe enough to hide behind him like this.
He'll definitely act annoyed every time you hide behind him, maybe even roll his eyes, but don't let this fool you because he's shielding you away from the rest of the world and keeping you hidden from anyone who may be around.
And if you hide behind him because there's someone around that you're trying to avoid or that you just flat out don't want to deal with at the moment, then trust that Charles will take care of it.
He's not going to immediately resort to murder, so you don't have to necessarily worry about that, but depending on who it is and how they treat you, then yeah.
They may die.
It's an act of romance from him, by the way.
Nothing says 'I love you' quite like killing anyone who inconveniences you in some sort of way. He is a serial killer, after all. How else is he supposed to be romantic?
In all seriousness though, Charles does try to make you feel at ease whenever you find yourself hiding behind him.
He'll crack a few jokes, tell random stories of the past crimes he's committed, anything that'll help you feel less overwhelmed.
VINCENT SINCLAIR
Vincent is the only one here who would truly understand why you hide behind him, I think. He knows what it's like to be overwhelmed, wanting to hide away from everyone. It's why he spends most of his time in the basement.
He would never judge you for this, like... at all. He actively encourages you to do it, if anything else, because he wants you to do whatever makes you comfortable.
If he can help you feel less overwhelmed, then he will. If somebody has been bothering you enough to make you feel this way, then trust that he will not hesitate to step in.
Tourist, Bo, Lester, it doesn't matter. You're his top priority more often than not these days.
Shit, he'll put himself in time out if he somehow contributes to making you feel this way. He'd feel genuinely awful if he made you feel overwhelmed, honestly.
When he's overwhelmed, he finds that absently drawing helps to calm him down. He knows that not everyone finds comfort in the same thing, but he'll definitely offer you a pencil and paper if he thinks it might help.
But if you'd rather just make yourself comfortable behind him, then he doesn't mind. He'll continue whatever he was doing with no issue.
Though... if he's in the middle of turning someone into a wax figure, he'd rather you not be around during that. And you obviously can't hide behind him when there are tourists in town, because like... obviously.
But other than that, you're free to use him as a little shield from the world whenever you need.
It makes his heart feel warm inside knowing you feel comfortable enough around him to go to him whenever you feel like this. It makes him feel like he's doing a good job at this whole dating thing.
THE DOCTOR
Herman is a bit of an enigma here because while I don't necessarily think he'd mind you hiding behind him like this whenever you're overwhelmed, he's also not the nicest person to know.
Lover or not, he isn't the type to be nice when it comes to words. He's a genius and views himself as better than everyone else, and you aren't an exception.
Personally, he's never felt overwhelmed. Like... never. He had everything he wanted growing up, and he truly never believes he's in the wrong, even if he is, so he's never had that sort of anxiety either. The only time he's ever felt anxious was when he knocked his classmate out for the first time, he thinks.
So, while he doesn't understand it on an emotional level, Herman does understand it on a scientific level. A part of him can't help but want to pick you apart and study your brain for somehow finding comfort in hiding behind him, but he doesn't.
Herman loves you. At least, he thinks this is love. A considerable amount of tolerance, if not.
This habit of yours is just one of the many things he's not sure he'll ever truly understand when it comes to you. It's... frustrating, just a bit. You're an enigma to him. An anomaly.
He's never been a big fan of anomalies. Yet here you are, hiding behind him as if he were someone who would protect you from harm.
He'd destroy the minds of the many for you, he thinks.
Being who he is, both before and after the fog, you're bound to be safe if you stick by him.
So, while Herman doesn't understand why you feel safe around him, or why he doesn't mind your behavior, he certainly isn't going to make you stop.
THE TRICKSTER
Jiwoon is... not really gonna understand why you hide behind him whenever you're overwhelmed. He thrives under attention, positive or negative, so he can't wrap his mind around how you get overwhelmed by it.
But he most thrives under your attention, so having you hide behind him every time you're overwhelmed or done with people in general really just... feeds into his ego.
So if this is before the fog, it's definitely not something you can do in public.
Jiwoon doesn't care, he really doesn't, but as an idol, dating is like... not really acceptable in the industry, and Yunjin would literally have his ass if he was caught being lovey-dovey with someone and it wasn't part of a publicity stunt of some sort.
He does understand what it's like not wanting to deal with people though, even if he does thrive under their attention. He literally killed a sasaeng because they were stalking him, so like...
I don't think he'd explicitly offer to kill someone for you if they put you in a state of being overwhelmed, mostly because he keeps his whole killer business a secret but, I mean, he would kill for you.
The moment he finds out who has you feeling so overwhelmed, be it by you telling him yourself or by other means, they will be dealt with.
And when the person who has been stressing you out so much lately is suddenly found murdered, Jiwoon is right there to help you deal with the overwhelming shock that may come with the situation.
Not long after the gruesome murder, The Trickster releases a love song with haunting background vocals. Fans and critics alike are trying to figure out who the mysterious voice is, but no dice.
No matter, fog or not, he will be a loving boyfriend and let you hide behind him however you please. Your attention, more often than not, is one of the only things that matter to him.

Ascended Astarion is true unlike Spawn Astarion who pretends to be good for Tav
If i see that opinion again i will explode🫠
It's funny because Astarion will only approves if you persuade him not to perform the ritual.
A lot of people don't understand the concept of grey morality and it shows. Many people justify him but this type of AA fan thinks worse of him than he really is. He needs the ritual not because he's a power-hungry villain, but because he needs safety for himself and his lover. Depending on Tav/Durge's actions, he either stays with the feeling of fear (AA is still afraid deep inside, the game files confirm this) or he fights against it and becomes truly free of Cazador and fear (spawn ending). The dialogue with Durge about not being afraid is wonderful and shows difference between SA and AA.
Astarion: This little adventure of ours has taught me that we can't let our lives be ruled by fear. Or else we never really live. Astarion: I'm not afraid. Not of you, not of your darkness, and not of our future.
The point of the spawn ending is that Tav/Durge saw him as more than just an outward image of a power-hungry killer incapable of becoming a better person. But if you can't see beyond that image, he will think that he has no choice but to continue living in the world that Cazador has built for him. If you think that AA is his best ending because he is evil then you have failed to understand his whole personality.
I feel safe with you. Seen.
Tumblr media
Despite of his love of killing (he is a vampire after all), he repeatedly showed compassion and guilt for luring people. Before the ritual, he literally convinced himself that he should kill spawn for power. Astarion rationalises this to protect his psyche, because he’s clearly not the type of guy who can sacrifice thousands of people to the devil and not feel anything about it.
Durge/Tav: This isn’t you, Astarion. Not really. Astarion: It should be.
I really like that the player technically makes the insight check and that there’s an advantage when they're romancing Astarion. Tav/Durge could see through the image Astarion was trying to create. They saw an elf whose fear prevented him from seeing all the possibilities.
Astarion: When I look at my future, anything and everything feels possible now.
Just as Astarion saw Durge not just as serial killer, but as someone who could defeat Urge and become a better person.
Durge: I am myself at last. You don't need to fear anything from me ever again. Astarion: I knew you had that sweat heart all along. I was alarmed by you sometimes, scandalised even, but somehow by your side, I still only ever saw you.
AA fans also often ignore the fact that the game has good and bad endings in the companion stories. And it's not about morality. All companion quests are literally about how the desired and obvious path leads to a bad ending. And Astarion is no exception. In a good ending, he gets the chance to heal and finally acceptes himself and his vampire nature, in a bad ending, he gives up and regresses as a person.
Spawn Astarion knows what he wants and says it. SA is ready for a relationship and sex. Ascended Astarion can’t answer the question of what he wants, so he acts as a vampire lord should. AA is literally back to the state of the first act and has started manipulating Tav/Durge through sex again (even repeating the same phrases). This is why he doesn’t really want sex (he approves if you choose the no sex option and he definitely dissociated during the sex scene) unlike Spawn Astarion who initiated it.
Spawn Astarion is the same Astarion who enjoys “murder and terror” and you can see that clearly in his “hero” ending (more like “antihero”). And this is the ending without romance, he chose it himself. And the whole idea of him pretending to be good for Tav is actually meaningless without romance.
Ascended Astarion is the same Astarion, but stuck in a black and white world of fear and domination.
SA scene ends with hope music (instrumental version of I want to live) AA scene ends with chains.
And there’s so much more. Larian specifically showed the difference between good and bad endings in the dialogues, scenes after ritual, recent updates and even the interview so people would definitely understand, but they didn't🙃 Some AA fans (especially on youtube and larian forum) are on a new level of delusion.

Okay essay time As a certified Oscar simp and admirer and blindfaith shipper, SOOOOO MANY PEOPLE IN THE FANDOM JUST FLANDERISE AND WOOBIFY HIM SO BAD. (Not inherently everyone but a good few)
I just feel like a lot of people treat him like this shy pathetic innocent bean who has a small crush on Arthur when he's really not? He's neither innocent nor pathetic. This is a man who tried to violently kill his friends abuser in his youth (and only regretted not being able to kill him). This is a man who knocked out a dangerous serial killer in a room full of cops (and he did it like he was scolding a child). This is a man who's clearly not afraid to speak his mind. This is a man who helped a woman cover up her husband's death(even if he was conflicted about it). This is a man, who in the recent aftermath of losing his arm, still had enough resolve and strength to push a heavy door open (John literally remarks that he's impressed and that Oscar's a "fighter"). He doesn't go down without a fight. Yes he's a bit of a freak. Yes he's implied lonely. Yes it's an insane thing to devote yourself to someone you've known for so little time. Yes he has horrendous taste in men BUT HE'S REALLY NOT PATHETIC OR INNOCENT. Even during the infamous arm cutting scene, he initiates the cutting off. He asks Arthur to do it. Violence is not something he is opposed to if he thinks the situation calls for it and I'm so tired of people treating him like he's the pure soft bean to Arthur's guilty fucked up guy complex WHEN THEYRE BOTH VERY FUCKED UP GUYS THAT ARE NOT IMMUNE TO VIOLENCE AND FEEL GUILTY ABOUT EXISTING. they match each others freak. That's half of the appeal. While he is polite, Oscar Malevolent would be the kind of person to say "Arthur, we need to kill this guy" if the situation called for it and I'm tired of pretending he wouldn't (well actually he'd probably just try to kill the guy in question without saying it)
Actually on the topic of Oscar mischaracterisation. I also don't like when people act like he would've responded negatively if Arthur had told him about John because he's a priest. Like he's canonically pretty open minded (see: the implication he's noticed Arthur's eyes being odd and the explicit suggestion he at least overheard him talking to himself at least once and that that didn't deter him) and I feel like, while he'd initially be a bit taken aback and weary, I'm sure if Arthur explained it to him honestly, he'd be quite understanding and curious. Also he's a Christian priest who's willing to acknowledge other gods exist and that's another thing people don't talk about enough imo.

On a Minthara rant again. Content warning for talk of trauma.
I hate when people say "she's actually kind by Drow standards"
First of all. I hate that reasoning because replace "Drow" with any real life group and you'll get the picture of why it's bad, but I'm not here to talk about how D&D racism pisses me off by reflecting and encouraging real world racism.
Secondly, Minthara is a kind person, end of sentence. But she's not nice. She's not going to exchange pleasantries. If she thinks she can trust the person, respects them, thinks they're worth the effort, she is genuinely kind and caring. This doesn't just happen with Tav/Durge, you can see her take this role on with quite a few companions even if it's behind the colder, pragmatic exterior she's been traumatized to keep up. She may not be the most compassionate person, that is true because being compassionate is often met with being murdered in the Underdark. But she is earnest, she is thoughtful, she worries for the people close to her all the time because she's hyper-vigilant (again, trauma). And you learn if you romance her in Act 1, when you rescue her in Act 2, that she desperately craves connection and affection. You learn how she desperately wants someone to see her and care about her, she wants to feel safe around someone because NOWHERE is safe for her. She is sympathetic, you learn from her after you defeat Ketheric. She's very understanding and observant. She's not used to kindness and people treating her with such, because it's usually done as they try to stab her in the back or poison her. Being kind is about being intentional and mindful. She's not nice, but she's very intentional.
She was raised to hide her emotions. To not show any sign of weakness. To not trust anyone. She was raised with exceptionally high standards. I was raised very similarly (aside from the assassination attempts) and it's part of why I love her character so much and why it's so upsetting when people don't give her the attention she deserves and think she's just the Hot Evil Drow Companion TM.
For my background, I was raised with a strict military father. My mother raised me on true crime and Law & Order: SVU. I knew about the Manson murders, the Branch Davidians and the timeline of the siege in Waco, knew what was in Jeffrey Dahmer's blue tubs, I could pick Ted Bundy out of a lineup before I knew my fucking times tables. I wish I was fucking kidding. I thought the details of these serial killers' crimes were common knowledge until COLLEGE. I grew up terrified all the time. I grew up with super high expectations and was never good enough, but was still always the trophy child and needed to be perfect for them to brag about me. I grew up raised under the belief that if you don't have a certain trait or do things a certain way, you don't deserve to live. I thought I wasn't a human being for most of my life because I had shut down all emotions, and had suicidal ideation by the age of 4. I don't remember most of my life and I couldn't tell you what my happiest moment of my life was a couple years ago, because I couldn't remember any. I grew up always facing the door to a building or room so I could see who entered at all times. I was raised that you keep knives or martial weapons around you at all times in case of an attack.
Trauma like that doesn't fade easily, it takes YEARS and I'm blessed I found a therapist that I work well with and have been able to get out of that hazardous environment. Minthara hasn't. She's surrounded by war and death and threats at all times, and she hasn't had someone she can truly confide in, in a long time. People that have closed off due to trauma are often some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, but they don't know how to accept it or offer it themselves. They don't know how to feel emotions, and it's really scary. Add on to that the mental torture and abuse she suffered in the cult, along with physical abuse, and she's terrified. There's nothing in the world that she is more afraid of than Orin. If you romance her, what do you think she's most afraid of after Orin's death?
It's losing you. Losing that safe person, that person she loves, the person that she can allow herself to care about and show kindness to, the one she can accept kindness from without worrying.
Her writing is so fucking well done and tells you everything you need to know about her, I just wish people would listen.

Every time I read one of your blogs, I wonder what your OCs would be like with a reader who is already married (her husband is probably cheating) and the reader is super romantic (the very affectionate type) Charismatic and affectionate How would they react?
Thanks for reading, we love you 💖❤️
I'm not sure if you read the rules as I have stated that I don't write for fem readers, bc of that, this will be gn reader!
Eun Hyunwoo
Considering you're a married idol, you have to watch who you interact with as people would probably overanalyze your interactions with other people. Even if you're just being friendly, they could misinterpret it as you liking them. Because of that, the friendship between you and Eun Hyunwoo stays that way, just a friendship. Well this is until Eun Hyunwoo was taking pictures of you that he realized your husband was on the couch texting someone while smiling. He didn't think much but couldn't help but to take a small peak at the contents of the chats. That's how he found out you had an unfaithful husband. Hyunwoo wanted to tell you but didn't want to be the reason your marriage failed which is why it was only until the affair was publicized that he finally told you. Of course you were heartbroken, considering how you're already dealing with divorce papers and lawyers, the news that he had been cheating on you for longer than you thought made everything worse. Ever since then, Hyunwoo was the only person you could turn to for comfort. It was partially because he felt bad that he made you feel worse but also partly because he had seen how sweet you were and wanted to get to know you better. After a few months, you eventually started to move on from the whole ordeal. It was then that Hyunwoo and you started going out as more than friends. Each second he spetn time with you, he kept thinking 'how could anyone cheat on them' or 'their ex fumbled' because of how sweet you are. You remember his favorite restaurants, took care of him whenever he was overworked, etc. You had a way with your words, everytime you complimented him, it felt as if he was being complimented by the Gods themselves. Whenever he's around you, he can feel his cheeks get red due to your actions and words alone. To this very day, he still doesn't understand why your pathetic excuse of an ex cheated.
River Sterling
Considering that you're both still in Uni, I'll take it as a boyfriend situation. Nothing can get past River, especially not rumours. He hears everything that goes down in the walls of the Uni you both go to. Including when your now ex was kissing and feeling up 10 different girls in the same janitor's closet. He didn't care about it at first as he didn't know who the hell was pleasuring all these girls but once he found out it was your 'boyfriend'? That's a whole nother story. He wouldn't tell you directly, he set up a whole scenario so you could find out for yourself! The expression on your ex's face and one of his side chicks' were hilarious to River. What wasn't funny was you sobbing uncontrollably. He had thought you'd at least swing at the guy but you didnt. You were in shock and decided to flee the place. River felt guilty at that point and decided to grab your wrist as you were leaving the building. He hated the expression on your face. That day, River did everything he could to cheer you up. Gosh he was even thinking of eliminating your ex for you if you allowed it. River really fell for your charisma and personality. He wasn't used to real affection being given to him without asking anything in return. The more he was with you, the more he fell inlove with you. The two of you would always hold hands on campus, he doesn't hide your relationship like a certain someone once did. Whatever you want, you'll get it and River will make sure of it.
Liu Zihao
I honestly don't know how this trope would work with Liu Zihao seeing as the reader is depicted as a heartless serial killer in his story but let's say you're not heartless in this au and you have a partner in crime who is also your husband. The two of you have been working together for a long time and have great synergy. That is until the one time you two almost got caught, he decided to abandon you for his own safety. This ended up in you having to face not just any jury but Lord Liu himself. You were sure your spouse would come to fetch you sooner or later but he never showed. Out of rage, you decided to reveal where the two of you had been hiding all these months to avoid getting caught. What you didn't expect was being given a special sentencing by Liu Zihao. Being stuck in a luxurious house wasn't that bad afterall. Honestly, after several days being in his home, you warmed up to him. His personality reminded you that of a cat's. Sometimes a dog's too. Even if he didn't say anything, you could feel his eyes on you everytime he was around. Depsite all this, you were almost always bored so you decided to pick up a hobby. Baking and cooking. After testing out a few recipes, you fed some of your cooking to Zihao who was thrilled you cooked for him! Well technically not for him but he doesn't know that, let a man be happy. You were honestly like a house spouse at that point. Not that Zihao minded, he loved tasting your crafts, they always tasted amazing to him. The two of you became something akin to lovers without even mentioning to to one another. At least in Zihao's eyes you're the one for him. Maybe it was because you had lived almost a whole 5 years being married that you treated Zihao as if he was your husband. Your affection made Zihao fell ever so inlove with you. On that topic what ever happened to your husband? Well don't worry about him, he was found guilty for all the crime you did and also a few infidelity crimes. He was executed on the spot of course. Nothing will get in the way of the two of you!
Han Minho
While you were in the military, your husband decided his dick wasn't being tend to enough and stuck it into another person's hole. He did this while you were none the wiser. Even when you sent him letters, he rarely ever read them. Instead, your letters would be thrown in the trash bin next to the bed he was fucking a woman in. You thought he was busy so you brushed it off. Maybe it's something the two of you would have to talk about after you get discharged but until then, you should focus on your duties. Although Minho found you attractive, he didn't act on his feelings knowing you were already married. He was a better man than that. However, when you were discharged early and decided to surprise your husband...Let's just say you came out of the house divorced. You couldn't believe the man that vowed to love you until death would be fucking another woman in your bed no less. While you were getting coffee, eyes swollen from crying the night before, you bumped into someone you didn't expect. Han Minho. He noticed your red eyes and immediately asked what was wrong. He didn't understand how you went from being such a sweet and happy person to having red eyes from crying too much. The two of you sat down as you told him what had happened. The two of you never had a close relationship but you really needed to get the whole thing off your shoulders. Minho understood what you were going through. He offered for you to stay at his place for a bit. Better than whatever hotel you had decided was better than the house you shared with a cheater. It was then that the two of you started going out more. You practically spent every moment from waking up to going to sleep together. You offered to pay some bills but Minho said there was no need for that, he had everything covered. As repayment for not only taking care of you and hearing you out, but also letting you stay, you gave him gifts every week according to what he liked. You noticed even the smallest thing. Like how he would look at a piece of cake for a bit too long. Next morning, he would find the cake in the fridge waiting for him to bite into it. The two of you felt as if this was the life you both wanted. To feel seen and loved by one another. Han Minho will make sure your ex doesn't ever come near you ever again. He'll love you even if death eventually parts the two of you.
Xu RenFeng
Being apart of royalty and the second born of the imperial palace, you were married to a known and trusted general of the family. Renfeng, being the spy he was, knew the two of you were married. He admired you from afar, your personality and smile made his day even if they weren't towards him and rather, towards a man undeserving of your love. He wanted a reason to steal you away and a reason was given to him alright. Renfeng had spotted your unfaithful husband in a brothel with 4 women all up in his personal space, touching him in places one shouldnt ever unless they were married. The general not only stayed still but even encouraged it. He was about to slice his throat but didn't want to cause a scene. Renfeng waited until the general exited the place, satisfied with his infidelity and sliced his head on the spot. You woke up the next day to screams in the palace. Not knowing what was wrong, you got up quickly to see what the fuss was all about, only to see your husband's severed head stuck on the spikes of the outerwall. It had a note on it, 'undeserving of your love'. It seems whoever planted this clearly wanted you to see it, and the note. They wanted your attention. Well Renfeng did get what he wanted after kidnapping you and taking you to where he thought you would be 'safe'. His definition of safe is definitely contradicting with yours. It'll take you some time to be affectionate towards your kidnapper but he'll be on the receiving end of your affection soon enough, he just has to play the waiting game.
~~
Honestly this was a bit too long😥

A Study on Aaron Minyard and Hatred
I've been in this fandom for years now. somewhere around 5 years or so. and since I've been here there's always been a distinct theme in how people talk about the brother of our beloved main love interest. see people speak about aaron in two ways mainly. the first way is, of course, labeling him as hateful and homophobic and disliking him because he dislikes Neil. the second way is building on his more personable characteristics and having him paired with someone else like Katelyn or Kevin to mellow him out. both of those are all well and good, everyone is entitled to their opinions and all, but I've never quite seen people look at both of those sides at the same time so I want to try and consolidate my thoughts on the matter.
first of all, I personally rarely consider aaron inherently hateful in my own understanding of him. annoyed or disgusted sure, but not necessarily hateful. mainly that hate is focused on three people from what the fandom talks about: Neil, Andrew, and Nicky. I'm using hate a broad term for dislike just for the ease of things right now so don't yell at me, but I think it fair to say the fandom typically pits these three up against aaron in a way that makes aaron look like the bad guy a lot of the time.
if I'm honest, I never really felt he hated Neil more than just didn't care much. at least until he found out about him and Andrew and gave him his version of the shovel talk. maybe a bit when Neil used Katelyn against him. but overall I never quite got it when people said he hated Neil, let alone hated him for "no reason". like id be annoyed too if a guy waltzed onto my college sports team while im studying premed, and turned out to be the long-lost son of a serial killer with a mouth so big it was a wonder hes still alive. plus he was super shady before all that was revealed too, but aaron was still pretty neutral when Andrew brought Neil into the monsters. he even spoke back to the upperclassmen when they freaked out about Neil sitting with the monsters. if you all need me to get the quotes I will, but it's currently like 2am, and I just can't be asked right now lmao. either way, the only time aaron really hates Neil in the books is when he uses Kate against him to get him to go to therapy. which was done for his own good in the long run, and I doubt aaron stayed upset about it for too long. plus we always have to be careful here because we are seeing things from Neil's perspective, someone who is inherently an unreliable narrator in the story.
in Nicky's case, there's a lot to consider. aaron definitely does and says some things (again not finding specifics rn because it's 2am) that are hurtful to him, or offensive. I certainly don't really blame people for reading it as homophobic on a surface level. but that's exactly what it is. surface level. his feelings about Nicky are probably the second most complex in this instance. because Nicky is his cousin, caregiver, friend, whatever you want to call him. They're close, they mean something to each other. but aaron also grew up with Tilda, probably talking with his family over the phone every few months, seeing them maybe once a year or two. when aaron moved to South Carolina he was 13. Nicky would have been 17. aaron probably spent a lot of time with him at first to avoid being alone before he made friends himself. used him as an excuse to get out of being around Tilda alone. which undoubtedly left him susceptible to Luther's preaching. I could make a whole other post on this alone. Still, he would have known Nicky was gay and that it was "wrong". He likely saw only his mask, not the depression inside because Nicky would have wanted to be happy with his cousin. he probably was around when Nicky went to Germany and then came back loud and proud, telling him about a man named Erik and finally standing up to his parents. to us, it's inspirational, exciting even, but for aaron it was like Nicky was abandoning him. He had gotten through Nicky being gone with drugs and staying out of the house as much as possible, but now knowing Nicky was leaving him there alone with his mom for what he assumed would be forever would have hit him hard. he never hated Nicky for being gay. he was angry he had left him, and he had grown up surrounded by the ideals Luther preached and likely his mom did too. with that, plus how uncomfortable it would be to have your cousin being openly sexual around you to an extreme extent like Nicky, I don't blame him really for how he reacted. he was disgusted by the thought of his cousin having sex, not who it was with. I can't remember if his disliking Erik is a canon or fanon thing. Still, he disliked him for taking Nicky away, not because he was a guy. Long story short I don't think aaron ever truly hated Nicky or was truly homophobic. I think he was just a scared kid who learned the wrong words and didn't know how to be vulnerable.
Andrew. good old Andrew. the most complicated relationship in Aaron's life save maybe his mom. I think we all know aaron doesn't hate Andrew. just like Andrew doesn't hate aaron. it's impossible for them to hate each other because they are so irrevocably tangled up and tied to each other's lives. from the second they found out about each other, everything they've done has been for the other in some way. mostly on Andrew's end sure but aaron has also done his share. see out of everyone here I think Andrew is the person that aaron thought he hated the most. he was angry about Tilda, about the drugs, about how Andrew refused to look at him. but deep down he knew he couldn't really hate Andrew. if he truly hated him he wouldn't have stuck around him this long to try and form a relationship with him. he wouldn't have bothered renewing their deal after graduating high school. he may have been stubborn and confusing and made aaron want to pull his hair out in frustration, but I don't think hatred for Andrew truly existed in him. For certain actions maybe, but him overall? definitely not.
Aaron Minyard may have been complicated, cranky, and annoyed for the majority of the times we see him, but he never truly hated anyone. not in the way people seem to think at least. and certainly, never the three people hes accused of hating the most.

Since the article about Neil Gaiman I've seen a lot of people reassessing their relationship with Terry Pratchett. Which to a certain extent does make sense: they were co-authors and as a part of his cult of personality Neil Gaiman frequently presented himself as The Guy Who Knew Terry Pratchett. So in the public consciousness their legacies seem very intertwined.
So I can understand the pivot to asking about Terry Pratchett.
But a lot of what I've seen strikes me as being paranoid and conspiratorial in a way that I do not think is healthy or particularly useful. ("Did he know? Did he not know? Was Neil Gaiman overstating their friendship? Why did Terry Pratchett really have his hard drive destroyed?")
Now, I never met Terry Pratchett. But for my money? It seems pretty likely that he didn't know what was going on. The article itself states that most of Neil Gaiman's living friends didn't know what was going on: "But in my conversations with Gaiman’s old friends, collaborators, and peers, nearly all of them told me that they never imagined that Gaiman’s affairs could have been anything but enthusiastically consensual." And throughout most of the timeline of assaults the article covers Terry Pratchett was largely either in the late stages of dimentia on another continent or dead.
Though obviously we can't say for sure he didn't know something. (Even if he genuinely didn't know it's not like he would have turned to Rihanna Pratchett and said "Just in case anybody ever asks I want it on the record that to my knowledge Neil Gaiman is not and never has been a serial rapist.")
But ultimately. That's not actually the core issue that's keeping people awake at night I don't think. I think it's "How do I continue being fans of creatives knowing that some of them are secretly capable of legitimate evil without me ever being made aware of it?"
There is a pretty loud and unpleasant contingent on the internet whose solution to that problem seems to be "You can't. The only way to eschew blind celebrity worship is to live your life every second assuming in the back of your mind that every creative living or dead could be revealed to be a serial rapist at any moment. Just in case it turns out they actually are." Which. Doesn't strike me as particularly helpful. Or even feasible. And that is certainly not a lens I would recommend universally applying to strangers. Not even famous ones.
Instead I think it's probably helpful to look at famous strangers the way you would look at strangers in your own life - like the barista at your coffee shop: that they are probably flawed but also presumably decent. And much like with a barista, in your limited interactions (largely exchanges of product for money, with perhaps a smattering of surface level small talk. Much like with celebrities) you probably won't have much opportunity to discover if they're secretly a bad person. So if it turns out they are, it really isn't your fault that you didn't notice.
And based on what I saw in his books and interviews and his memoir by Rob Wilkins - though he was presumably decent I also certainly think Terry Pratchett was flawed. He was occasionally rude (based on anecdotes from people who knew him), some of the jokes in his books about the counterweight content strike me as being in poor taste and despite his flashes of acab I'd say the perspective of the city watch books was actually largely police reformist rather than abolitionist.
Yet I continue like his work (and what small slice I know about him as a person) anyways.
And understanding creatives as being flawed doesn't even mean "there's something unequivocally problematic out there! Hiding! In their work! In their interviews! And if you employ enough of a bad faith reading then you'll be able to find it!" No. (I mean, there might be some genuinely ethically dubious stuff in there but there also might not.) In my experience even just seeing the little flaws, like flaws in their craft are enough to knock creatives off of the perfect pedestal in your mind. Like, stuff you don't even have to be super knowledgeable about the craft in question to notice. "Eh that scene really dragged. That joke didn't really land. Anyways" And I certainly think Terry Pratchett had his craft issues. Just look at the first two Discworlds and some of the middle rincewind books for proof of that. And it can even be smaller than that. Tiny personality flaws that annoy you: Terry Pratchett was very snobby about Doctor Who in a way that strikes me as overly pedantic enough to be worthy of an eyeroll.
We should see the creatives who you admire, who make work you love as earthly and human. Not as untouchable gods who can do no wrong. (Clearly that isn't working out for us for a variety of reasons)
And setting aside the total monsters, I think it's a good thing that the stuff you like was made by people who are flawed. Humans are flawed, the people in your fandom are flawed, your friends are flawed, and you're flawed. But look at all the cool stuff you all make anyways.

im so petty against many radioapple shippers. So petty that noticing how much they hate Lilith (cuz she's Lucifer's wife) and mimzy (cuz she stopped hell's greatest dad song) makes me one of the biggest fans of these two women and then I loved them unironically because I love women doing dubious things and support women's wrongs
Oh god yes the misogyny in the R@dioapple fandom is the reason why I stopped shipping it. I know that not every shipper hates Lilith but the bashing in comics and fanfictions I saw was just so overwhelming, even when I filtered out the Lilith morningstar bashing, Lilith morningstar is a bad mother/person and Abusive Lilith morningstar tag people still involved Lilith being "evil"
The thing I found ironic is that people accuse her of attempting to separate Lucifer and Charlie, being a power hungry manipulator and abusive and like do you know who is all that? Alastor! He literally tried to get between Lucifer and Charlie, we know that he is a manipulator, he literally sang that he wants to "pull all the strings" and then he threatened Husk and pulled the leash which caused Husk to be on his knees shaking and scared like shit, I don't care what people say that was emotional abuse and we don't how far he would went have went if Husk continued to talk about Alastor's deal
Don't get me wrong I love Alastor but the fact that people ignore how terrible he is and put the blame somehow on characters like Lilith and Roo because they own and force him to do terrible things despite him being a serial killer before arriving in Hell (no leaks please) while villainizing a woman who hasn't said anything yet and had like 3 seconds screen time
And my girl Mimzy, I never understand why People hated her, she didn't even interrupted hells greatest dad, Lucifers and Alastor's part was already over if she didn't had appeared they would have argued or even fighted, she probably saved Alastor and i don't care what people say, I love her part in the song! Despite never really watching Steven universe, I listen regularly to other friends and drift away because Sarah stiles is a phenomenally singer, that plus her character design? How am I not supposed love Mimzy!! Why does she have more character Vox)
Tumblr media
And people disliking her for bringing the loan sharks to the hotel is just a silly reason like it is not even the worst what happened to the hotel it was slightly damaged and the radio demon and King of hell were there so it wasn't even in great danger(if Lucifer would have done anything to defend) like even Adam gets less hate for bringing an army of exorcists to the hotel and destroying it completely
How the two are treated in the fandom shows how misogynistic it really is, like a woman getting between a MLM ship is enough to make her evil in the eyes of people. And if they actually turn out to be evil? I support women wrongs and people love characters like Vox despite him being a evil, arrogant, asshole capitalist who we see brainwashing other people to buy his products. Why can't we love evil women too?
Alastor/Vox/Adam: killing and torturing people
Fandom : My sweet baby girls they are perfect and can do no wrong🥰
Lilith/Mimzy: Exists
Fandom: Pure evil! Power hungry whores! They don't deserve to breath the same air as my favorite male characters!

I'll never be over how dirty the narrative did LNQuackity by having him be vague about his life and actions
Like I'm not saying it wasn't realistic and in character the way it happened but I'm just wondering how different this would have played out if he'd been more open about his backstory and all that
I mean "everyone betrays you" is kinda different to "I've had multiple people who told me they'd love and cherish me and care about me abandon me, forget about me, treat me like a fling, betray me, and even abuse me, etc"
Or the context of the guy he's torturing being THE BIG BAD TM C!DREAM like all I'm saying is that there's a difference between torturing some guy for no apparent reason and torturing a tyrant who's tortured and tormented a child and created chaos and war between people and manipulated relationships until they shattered and murdered and who is keeping the secret to reviving people all to himself and using it to further torture and torment people
Like I don't care that all torture is bad, if I told you one person tortured an innocent little kitten, and the other tortured a serial child killer and abuser, I think it's pretty safe to say you'll be much more understanding of the second person than the first one
And there is soooooo much more he could get into....
Like holy shit I'd write an alternative monologue cause I don't think it'd hit as hard with just listing shit that happened to LNQ but i haven't really watched either Karmaland or QSMP so I'd have no idea how to write those two and just a random monologue all by itself feels kinda weird
Also just to make it clear: I'm not saying his backstory is the worst out of all the Quackities - again, I don't know enough about the other two to say anything, really - but his backstory is definitely the most "villain-making" one, because DSMP is just a place where that's what basic survival instinct conditions you to do, especially when you're not treated seriously enough time and time again and you have no-one by your side, cause in this situation it's just you against anyone and everyone, so it's basic logic to try to make yourself scary and powerful

What is your opinion on Wincest?
thank you for asking. i hope you're ready for me to go very in-depth into my personal opinions about the ship and about the fandom, but if not:
TL;DR: take it or leave it, but you cannot deny that sam & dean do not act like normal siblings. and most importantly, bullying is never okay. these are fictional characters
okay here we go ⬇️
if someone hates wincest they should block the tag/blog and move on, it's as simple as that. i myself had the tag blocked when i first started my rewatch. they are only embarrassing themselves by coming on here and crying about it. if fictional incest upsets you so much then i don't think this is the right show for you
jared and jensen have insane chemistry, they and the crew recognized it very quickly. so when you have two people with that much chemistry playing siblings their relationship will come across as very questionable and the audience will pick up on that. they didn't make it up out of nowhere. also, the cast and crew joke about the ship outside and within the show. it's not that serious
do i personally ship wincest? i guess technically i do. but i never watch shows for shipping, i never watch shows just for hot people. power to those who do, though. i watch this show because i've never come across a more unique character than sam (reasons too long for this post). so the content i engage in/the blogs i follow are centered around sam and his and dean's canon dynamic, sometimes mixed with this hypothetical version of their relationship because i find it interesting to speculate on. because i do believe something more explicit than what was already shown could absolutely have fit into canon. and that's the only type that i find interesting, where they are not regular boyfriends but as they already are: brothers with a very fucked up and power imbalanced relationship. but i am not actively wearing shipping goggles when i'm watching
i understand that incest makes people uncomfortable. but the show was (originally) a gothic horror. taboo subjects, like incest, are a fundamental part of that genre. emotionally incestuous undertones were ingrained into the show from the beginning. sam & dean are not normal about each other. if you think that they act like regular siblings then i don't even know what to say. and even though the show shifted genres their codependency only intensified as it went on. many characters commented on their weirdly close relationship throughout the show
on that note, this taboo has been around literally forever. it's in literature, it's on tv, it's in porn. it will never not be a subject many people want to explore in fiction. on that note, i see a lot of people say that fictional incest ships will affect reality. i can promise that it will not all of a sudden make everyone want to start fucking their family members. and if someone believes this then i'd also expect them not ship other "problematic ships" (e.g., hannigram, a relationship between a murderous cannibal who physically and psychologically tortured the other person). sam & dean are serial killers but you don't see people saying that being okay with that in a fictional show makes someone a bad person
i can't say from personal observation (because i only joined tumblr in october last year) but i have seen many mentions that more people are becoming increasingly sensitive/engrossed in purity culture compared to fandom years ago and this is evident in how they behave on social media (i can at least corroborate that last part)
for example, seeing someone's sam & dean edit and freaking out in the comments about whether it's meant to be wincest or not before they reblog. or joining in bullying wincest shippers to fit in/appease other antis. or making a post about how disgusting wincest shippers are and directly tagging wincest. i don't know if this is something from the new generation or maybe something else but i will say that when i see people acting like this my immediate thought is that they are children who never learned social media etiquette
attacking and insulting anyone over any ship is extremely wrong and immature. going after people who worked on the show for not condemning a ship is wrong. i also see a lot of people say to wincest shippers that they are probably attracted to their own siblings. once again, these are fictional characters. if you feel comfortable saying that to a real person and without any shame then that says a lot about you. people ship things and explore subjects in fiction for different reasons and it does not mean that it is a one to one reflection of their morals
and lastly, maybe slightly unrelated, saying that wincest shippers have invaded tumblr, ao3, or now rednote is dumb. they were there first, they've been around since 2005. they made these platforms what they are today and they aren't going anywhere no matter how much others bully them
if you got this far then thank you for reading

trying my best not to get into discourse on bluesky about this because I don't want to accidentally get caught up in booktok or whatever the fuck. but there's this paper going round where out of 85 midwestern university students surveyed only a minority of them could easily read Charles Dickens' Bleak House.
damn, you might say, students these days can't read what was 172 years ago a newspaper serial. wow. the kids. so bad at comprehension.
I'm a nearly-40-year-old adult who reads very complex scientific papers for fun and I am right with any midwestern university student who looked at sentences like this (literally the opening lines of Bleak House) and tuned the fuck out:
A Chancery judge once had the kindness to inform me, as one of a company of some hundred and fifty men and women not labouring under any suspicions of lunacy, that the Court of Chancery, though the shining subject of much popular prejudice (at which point I thought the judge’s eye had a cast in my direction), was almost immaculate. There had been, he admitted, a trivial blemish or so in its rate of progress, but this was exaggerated and had been entirely owing to the “parsimony of the public,” which guilty public, it appeared, had been until lately bent in the most determined manner on by no means enlarging the number of Chancery judges appointed—I believe by Richard the Second, but any other king will do as well.
sorry what??? I love a run-on sentence and an obfuscated lede but what the fuck are you going on about, man. people can't understand Dickens because Dickens needed a fucking good editor to tell him to go back and put the words in a better order.
like 'ooh people have got used to better-edited, better written sentences' that's a GOOD thing.

60 Years of Doctor Who Anniversary Marathon - Tennant 10th Review
Doctor Whooves: Wrong Way Backwards - Fan Crossover
Tumblr media
Okay first off, this particular story is sort of like BF's Flip Flop in that you can listen to either 'side' in any order, with events happening simultaneously. This playlist is my preferred order; Doctor Whooves: WWB but this one is perhaps the most common listening order Doctor Whooves: Wrong Way Backwards. You can also go with the edited down version which streamlines everything into one video, which means no repeated scenes but you do lose a little of the ending dialogue.
youtube
(Note: If you listen with headphones you'll get the best audio experience as the sound editor does a lot of neat tricks with levels)
But what is 'Doctor Whooves' do you ask?
Well back during 2010 My Little Pony kind of exploded upon the fan scene with a new animated tv series. Now I was never a MLP girl myself, and I've still yet see a single episode from any of the various series, but the fandom was everywhere. And as animation student at the time, I obviously had classmates who were really into the show, so I was familiar with it by proxy.
Anyways one particular background character caught the fandom's eye, a pony with an hour glass mark whom everyone said looked just like David Tennant.
Tumblr media
He was dubbed Doctor Whooves by the fans and spawned an entire sub-fandom within the series. There were comics, fan-fictions, animations, and even fan audios. And not just one or two fan audios but whole audio series. Several in fact! By my count there is at least 20 different series, and that was back in 2016, I wouldn't be surprised if there were even more by now.
Wrong Way Backwards is a crossover between two of the bigger fan series, The Doctor Whooves Adventures and Doctor Whooves and Assistant, and I do not exaggerate when I say it might just be the best multi-Doctor story ever written.
No I mean it!
This came out twelve years ago. It predates Day of the Doctor by like two years and has all the hallmarks of what we would consider to be keystones of the modern multi-doctor formula but cranked up to like eleven. Doctors having heart to hearts with companions, Doctors yelling in each other's faces because they're riddled with so much guilt, companions teaming up and being bad asses together, slapstick comedy with the Doctor weirding people out ect...
It's like this little oddball crossover within a crossover fan project became the blueprint/standard upon all other later multi-Doctor stories are held to.
I won't lie, the entire reason I included a fan section in this marathon was just so I could talk about this story. Most entries are selected randomly, but this particular one was planned from the beginning because more Doctor Who fans need to know of it's existence. Sure, the dialogue maybe a little on the nose and the MLP side of things does keep the serial from going as dark as it could, but in many ways that just adds to the charm.
And best of all, you don't really need to be familiar with either parent show or fan series to listen and understand the story. Since the MLP world is a new dimension for the  Doctor to explore, he becomes the pov character for the audience, same for when he travels to the parallel world. This means things are explained to the audience as the Doctor discovers them, so it's easy to follow along, and any throw backs or nods to continuity are really more to do with the respective audio series rather than the parent shows. You might miss an easter egg here and there but the story is easy to follow regardless.
In addition to being clever and heartfelt with it's writing, it also has a top notch production, with good audio production and voice acting. I highly, highly recommend checking it out.
