#don't know what the DBZ fan climate is like

Potentially hot DBZ take: It would have been more interesting if Vegeta was the main character. Goku has nothing going on. The he's a fighting idiot gets old by the 20th time it's used. Vegeta had more character most of the time. He was obsessed with his pride that frequently got him in trouble; he slowly developed from a full villian to a "friendly" antagonist, to an proper friendly rival; he ended up marrying Bulma, and was an actual husband by DBZ standards. I just think he would have been a more interesting character to follow.
