More on the Biden pardon of his son

"Over the past couple weeks, the thought of President Biden pardoning his son entered my head a few times. I tossed it around: good or bad idea? I could see it both ways. I still can. But I am fine with his decision. I’m glad he did it. Biden learned the right lesson: no one gives a fuck about norms. It’s unquestionably true that Hunter Biden wouldn’t be in this position if not for his dad. That’s basically the justification Biden gave. And he’s right. It may sound angry or cynical to say “no one gives a fuck.” But I mean it both in a general way and in this particular way: the reason for Biden not to do this was to allow his son to remain collateral damage of the GOP war against his presidency and to leave him in the hands of the Trump DOJ for at least the next four years all to make a point of principle about being better, different, more righteous, more norm-honoring than Donald Trump.

Greetings, welcome to Aloofturtle!

I am a blogger on both Bluesky and now Tumblr! I write out my thirstiest thoughts, dumbass thoughts, and fandom-related content based on my thoughts of the time and all that.

With the general idea of this blog out of the way, I want to mention that I won’t allow underage interactions or gross smut on this page I WILL block you, or block the tag if need be, and as for my daily posts or interactions. The interactions will probably be brief if I don’t know you, as in “Thanks for the follow!” but unless you make hundreds of comments, I MIGHT send a message outside the whole ‘thank you’ one.

As for fandom stuff, I will post fan-fiction ideas, commentary, hot takes, dumb thoughts (of the overall plot of the world or characters), and maybe links to stories I may have written or not written (to support that author). I won’t list all the fandoms I am in, because they will change often, and are too many to put down and I am lazy too.

I am probably going to set up a posting schedule for this particular blog once I am settled in, while my Bluesky is a Wild West and will often have my immediate thoughts put on that blog before this one. While on this blog, they may be expanded on or often more thought out (but I will decide on that later). But feel free to send me your hot takes on any of the topics I mention or whatever, even thoughts on any particular fandom I have mentioned in the posts or collection of posts. I am always open to people's wild ideas, thoughts, and all that, as I value the feeling of people being open with me and one can have an open and willing conversation about the said topics without the feel of being shot down completely. (think of it as WE both learn something about each side)

I WILL NOT TALK ABOUT POLITICS OF THIS WORLD, ONLY IF ITS THE POLITICS OF A FICTIONAL ONE.

So, don't @ me at all, you will be BLOCKED with the quickness. This blog is for fun and stupidity of myself and only for myself.
