Hello! I love your works! 💕 For request how about some fluff with Kabukimono/Kunikuzushi who wasn't abandoned by Ei and he lives in her temple? The reader is personal maid that takes care of Kuni and she has a lil crush on him ? Kuni is not aware of warm feelings he feels for her too! If it's not in your taste that's okay! I wish you and your family to always be healthy!
Oh God, this is so interesting I might get carried away. This is the problem with me and requests I find interesting. I just spend all my time working on ONE request lollllll. I'm so weak, I apologize.
Thank you for sticking with me, by the way. Appreciate the support.
Premise:
Kunikuzushi calls Raiden by "Ei" and sees her more of a sister than a "mother"
He houses the electro gnosis and it hasn't been taken away
Reader is a vision holder, but is not a fighter. More of a healer/support type of person.
He has his own quarters in Tenshukaku but for the purpose of the story his main home would be Shakkei Pavilion
Reader is not the only maid/servant he has.
I'm assuming that Kunikuzushi is way softer than "Scaramouche", but inherently there's still a hint of mischief and trickery in his ways.
Warnings:
I think I may have taken this too far and she's hardly a personal "maid" anymore >_> sorry I hope you still like it.
Story and headcanons start here:
The traits of a Kunikuzushi in love
Does not treat you like a maid.
"What're you doing?" he asks, eyeing the tea you place on the table, then darting up to meet your confused expression.
"...Giving you your daily tea?" You squeak out. You'd been new to the job. Probably a month or two in, and this was one of the daily routines that you had to do and prepare for. Every day was a different blend of tea, sometimes he requested for certain ones. You didn't think there was anything different about the way you did things today.
"Yes, thank you," he adds, but still stares straight at you. "But I meant why are you leaving?"
You blink. It feels like an eternity of silence passes for you didn't have an answer, but he fills it with his voice once again. "Sit down and join me, there isn't anything else for you to do, is there?"
Awkwardly, you slide onto the free zabuton adjacent to him. He calls for another maid, who enters with her head bowed. "...Kindly get another teacup for Y/N,"
"Oh, no, that's alright. I don't need--" you start, but the maid exits and Kunikuzushi abruptly starts talking again. "Ei says that you were hired to be my personal maid,"
You shift in your seat, still not certain about what you're supposed to do in this situation. "Yes, Young Master,"
His face curls into distaste, something about the title makes him uncomfortable but he doesn't protest. "In that case there isn't anything else for you to do except to cater to me, correct?"
You only think for a second. "...That would be...technically correct, yes,"
He hums and continues with what he was doing beforehand, practicing brushstrokes with black ink and parchment paper. "Then join me for tea, and let me know if my handwriting has improved,"
2. Gets irritated when you're on a day off
"Is there something wrong?" Ei asks, her eyes still closed. She peeks an eye open to look at Kunikuzushi's slightly annoyed expression and furrowed brows, then closes her eye again.
"Not at all, sister," but his tone is flat and he had not taken another sip of the tea served with his breakfast today.
There's a few seconds of silence followed by a hum from the Raiden Shogun. "...Then what is the ominous presence coming from your person, little one?"
There's a soft grunt, followed by shifting, a small sigh and a sort of huff. Ei is surprised every day by how much expression Kunikuzushi shows. She had always thought he was fragile, but perhaps he was slowly building his own personality. She finally opens her eyes when she hears a sort of mumble directed at her, she asks for it to be repeated again, as she hadn't heard it clearly.
"...This isn't how Y/N makes my tea," He looked to be a spoiled prince at that moment and it takes a lot for Ei not to break out into a chuckle at his statement.
"There's no way for them to always be around you, Kuni. Y/N deserves to rest from time to time," she states, starting on her own breakfast. There he goes again with that tiny huff, but he doesn't complain more, and opts to keep his mouth shut.
3. is more energetic when you're around--and his sister finally notices
The training session started rather early today. Though you sat on the sidelines watching Ei and Kunikuzushi battle it out, you had gotten used to the clash of electro against electro by this point.
At the beginning it was rather frightening, the sheer amount of power the two of them combined had. You were once scared to be struck by lightning on accident, now it was almost comforting to be around.
"You seem to have more reserves of energy on certain days," Ei exclaims as she sheathes her sword to mark the end of training. You might have imagined it, but you thought her eyes flick over to you for the fastest second.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about, sister. It's just like any other day," Kunikuzushi slightly pants, catching his breath. You take that as a signal to stand and bow, then entering the training ring with a cloth in hand.
You scurry over next to him, and offer the cloth for him to take. He takes it with a slight smile, "Thank you, Y/N," and you nod in response.
"I have your change of clothes ready at the hot springs," you say and he always feel a sense of relief that you've got things under control and ready for him, specially after a long training session.
He thanks you again, and excuses himself. "I'll see you outside then, I won't be long," he promises, despite the fact that you've always told him he can take his time to freshen up.
He disappears first, and you bow towards the Raiden before turning to follow him.
"Y/N," the Raiden calls out to you just as Kunikuzushi leaves the room. You stop in your tracks and turn back around. You almost know what she's about to say.
"...Don't forget, what you were tasked to do, when the time arises," The Raiden whispers. There's a sort of melancholy in the way she says it but a definite determination in the way you answer.
"Of course, your grace,"
4. Feels a sense of insecurity when someone else shows interest towards you.
Despite your title being a "maid" you didn't wear the same purple uniform that all the servants were made to wear. You were still in uniform, but it was a rather official looking garb than what most had.
"It'll be a long meeting today," Kunikuzushi warns you. That was part of your duty now, tagging along wherever he went, and it was just something that he specifically asked you to do.
Diplomatic meetings were held from time to time, this time with a clan head. He was younger than you thought, with a good head on his shoulders. It was something about the import and export goods in the port of Ritou, something that you weren't concerned with, and something that you usually tuned out while waiting for the meeting to end.
Kunikuzushi doesn't quite know why he subjects you to such boring tasks. You could've stayed back at the Pavilion, but what exactly would you do there. It was just a different type of boring.
Contrary to what he thought, you hadn't found it boring at all. In a sense it was your job to watch after him and his needs, and so this was all part of your required tasks.
When the meeting was adjourned everyone stood to bow at each other, it wasn't at the last moment that the clan head acknowledged your presence.
"...Excuse me, though it's been a great chat and I do appreciate your grace's presence today...I'd been wondering," he motions a hand toward you, "if it was possible to grace me with your name,"
You stand there dumbfounded at first, until you realize he was talking to you. "Oh, me? I...am..." you hesitated because you didn't know if it was respectful for someone as low as you to even open your mouth. Each person in the room had their eyes on you now. Everyone, except Kunikuzushi, who had stared the man down as if trying to drown him in an endless gaze, answers for you.
"...This is Y/N," he looked to be thinking about what to say next. "...I'm indebted to them for looking after me all this time,"
"Ah," the clan leader pipes up, tearing his gaze away from you.
Ah what? You wonder. Not completely following the conversation. However, the next thing you know the clan leader had apologized, and Kunikuzushi abruptly turns and starts walking, leaving you to hurriedly follow after him in a slight daze.
5. Thinks about your well being
"Y/N, are you aware that I house the gnosis in my body?" he asked you one day.
"Yes, since the beginning, my lord," you don't know what brings this topic up. The gnosis was almost never talked about.
In the study, there's a moment of silence as he continues to practice his brush strokes. Each flick of his wrist is more precise than before, and you had the mind to compliment him.
"...If the day comes that someone attempts to take it... That's the only time I'd want you to leave me be. Do you understand?"
Your shoulders tense up for only a moment, your eyes tacked on to the calligraphic words he was painting. "...I understand,"
6. Wants to keep you safe
"May I ask your name and affiliation?" You stand at the main doors of Shakkei Pavilion. There are about 4 other servants behind you, standing straight and curious about the commotion.
"Signora, of the Fatui," An elegant looking lady, you thought, but what business could she have here?
"...and your reason for visiting, milady?" You attempt to be polite, offering a smile. Perhaps she was just lost...but that could not be the case, judging from the hoard of armored and weaponed men behind her.
"I heard that there was a person of note residing here," she smiles, her voice is sultry, matching the dress that she wore. She wasn't even trying to hide what she was after now. "I would like an audience with him,"
You turn your head the slightest bit towards a servant and nod at him, he takes the signal and proceeds inside the Pavilion. You turn your attention back to Signora and give her the most pleasant smile you could muster.
"I see. The young master is resting at the moment, I've sent someone in to check if he would like to entertain guests right now...but the chances are low. Perhaps you could come back tomorrow? I'll certainly tell him that you've come,"
"...Don't forget, what you were tasked to do, when the time arises,"
The chuckle that Signora lets out sends shivers down your spine, the men behind her start to step forward. "I'm afraid tomorrow would be too late, we'll welcome ourselves in now,"
"...Picking a personal "maid" was a long process, and you were chosen for a reason... When the time comes, there will be those who will attempt to take the gnosis,"
Signora walks forward, but stops in her tracks as a loud BANG BANG BANG resonates in the sky. Fireworks erupt, one by one, a cascading colour of red, and only red. A particular one stands out as it shoots up into the sky, it makes a loud sound, almost like its whistling and whizzing through the air, before it erupts, a trail of bright red smoke hovering in the night sky.
Signora scoffs and finally grins at you. "A signal fire. You're smarter than you look,"
"And if it so happens that we are far away from each other, you're to send a signal to alert me...From there on, what I need is time. Distract them, as much as you can, and keep Kunikuzushi away, as far as you can,"
"What's going on out here--" At the same time that Kunikuzushi appears at the top of the stairs. You turn to look at him once, and once only. You give him a reassuring smile as he asses the situation, eyes darting to and fro before landing on you.
"It'll be fine, milord," you whisper. He most likely couldn't even hear you where he stood. Perhaps the reassurance was for yourself. The ground rumbles, it feels almost like an earthquake. Vines, trees, roots, branches and leaves erupt from the ground behind you. Your dendro vision shines on your shoulder.
7. Won't let you go
"Y/N?!" Kunikuzushi shouts in confusion as the trees keep erupting. They become taller and taller, higher and higher and he can hardly see you now--
It hits him, what you were trying to do. This was a barrier to keep him inside the Pavilion, and to keep the intruders out. Out there with you.
"Y/N!" he starts running down the stairs as vine after vine weave into each other. He still has a glimpse of your back, but the shrubs and the leaves and the branches are closing in.
8. "Stop!"
The trees are higher than ever, forming a thick wall. His legs stumble, almost rolling down the stairs. There's an open hole left, if he could just reach it--
but roots start to swirl into it, he reaches, but his hand touches nothing but vines and soil. "No!" He looks up and around for an opening of any kind. There's none.
It's a solid wall of tangled trees and plant matter. He pushes into it with a grunt and it doesn't budge the slightest bit. When he stills, it's quiet. It's so incredibly quiet that one would not even think there was something happening on the other side of this artificial wall.
9. "This can't be happening,"
Is it a nightmare? He asks himself.
He reaches deep inside for the hidden reserves of electro energy, attempting to put pressure onto the wall, trying to get it to give in. He pushes hit after hit of electro energy spheres, and hit after hit it budges that slightest bit.
It's working, but not fast enough.
"Pathetic!" He says to himself, the words echoing into nothingness, voicing out how he felt about his own powers.
Had he used his full power before? No. There had never been a need to. Who would have thought he would attempt to because of you.
He pulls not only from his electro energy...now he pulls his energy even from the gnosis, and under no circumstance was he allowed to use the full extent of its power. Ei said it might break him...but how far was he willing to go?
10. "Just hang in there, I'm coming,"
The Raiden would be here soon.
Is what you kept telling yourself, despite your bruised and cut up appearance. It was easy enough to stall the Fatui soldiers. Signora was the real problem, and her pyro affinity was even more of a problem for you.
You find yourself cornered, and the crimson witch of flames stares down at you. "I'll give you a chance," she starts, voice amused and perky. "Open this wall, and I'll let you live. It's as easy as that. There's no need to throw your life away protecting the gnosis. You're young, a whole life ahead of you,"
You tip your head up, eyes blurring for a split second, headache worsening. You probably hit your head somewhere during the chaos. "...It's not the gnosis I'm trying to protect,"
Signora frowns in disappointment, but says nothing else. She didn't like wasting her breath. She lifts her hand above your head and you see a flicker of flames.
Then a bright light.
A bright, purple light, engulfing the entirety of the open area. The two of you recoil and block your eyes.
11. "Back away. Don't touch Y/N,"
You're too tired to open your eyes. But its warm and comfortable. The words and sounds just turns into a buzz in your ears.
A snapshot of memories race through your mind, little pictures of everything in your life leading up to today. Yet most of it consisted of your time serving Kunikuzushi. Tending to him when he was sick, pointing at the cherry blossom tree while out on a walk, looking at the lanterns during the festival.
You were not a maid. You never felt like you were. You were a companion.
Then, your eyes snap open. You bolt up on the bed you're resting in and instantly regret the sudden action. "Augh..." you groan, falling back down on your elbows.
On closer inspection, no one else was in the room. It was just you. You slowly put yourself down to a laying position again, staring at the ceiling.
What happened? You ask yourself, coming up with no answers whatsoever.
12. "You...You're alive,"
It all comes back to you when you see him standing by the sliding door, a cup of water in his hand. You keep each other's gaze for the longest time, until he slowly walks over to the chair next to you...and slumps forward to bury his head into your white sheets.
"...Are you unhurt, milord...?" you whisper, for the silence seems so fragile.
"...Physically, yes," he mumbles. "Mentally...I'm...seething with rage and drowning in...something. I don't know what it is, I just..."
You let nothing be said between the two of you for a few more moments.
"I can breathe now," he continues, and you stay looking at the back of his head. "I can breathe now," he repeats. "That's what it felt like. As if I had lost my breath and it was hard to breathe," He picks his head up to glare at poor old you. "and then I'm angry because neither you nor Ei had told me anything about a plan...If it concerns me, I deserve to know!"
You wince at the sudden increase in volume, and he apologizes quickly. "S-Sorry, I'm...just..." again he struggles to find the words that names his feelings. There's so many things at the same time, it was hard for him to comprehend.
You pipe up for him, "Worried,"
He tosses the word back and forth in his head. Is that what this is? Worry? An emotion so crippling that he was unable to do anything else except wait for you to wake up.
"...but why?" He asks himself aloud. You trace the expressions on his face. He doesn't know.
But you do.
You know exactly why he was feeling that way because you feel it too.
13. "Please don't do that again,"
He almost begs you a few days later, when you've made a full recovery. He can't bear it. He can't imagine what worse things could have happened if he nor Ei didn't make it on time.
"Besides, there's no need to... Ei confiscated the gnosis from me..." he grumbles something about a punishment for using too much of its power.
You hum a little, and repeat what you told Signora. "It's not the gnosis I'm trying to protect,"
"...I can take care of myself just fine," he huffs, catching on to what you were implying.
"Oh, then it seems I'm out of a job, young master! A personal maid seems hardly necessary," you were only teasing, but something sort of switches on in his mind. He looks straight at you, and without any hesitation whatsoever,
14. "You are always necessary...Lest I find it hard to breathe,"
This was how he described how he felt, in this straightforward manner yet long winded way. You hide a smile.
Perhaps he'll never understand his own feelings, perhaps he will.
For you, being certain about yours was more than enough.

"Love~" You whined. The both of you had been quite busy for a while, and all of your suppressed neediness only resurfaced upon the familiar sight of your beloved sitting on the satin sheets of your shared bed.
"Want you- no, need you inside, love. Pretty please?" The cool air caressed your body through the thin nightgown Ei bought for you, the one you wore for these specific nights— nights meant for the two of you alone.
However, as soon as you clung onto the far too sturdy and solid arm of the woman in front of you, you quickly regret the words that left your mouth. There is no warmth. No embrace that welcomed you into her arms like you've grown used to.
And when you look into her- its eyes, you knew that what you just said would be a grave mistake. That was not the woman you loved. The way she looked down at you with unbridled irritation and annoyance made your stomach churn and twist with fear.
Tears streamed down your face as the pads of her fingertips rubbed not-so-gently on your walls, sending small but still stinging jolts of electricity throughout your whole body.
"What's wrong? I thought you wanted me inside of you..?" The Shogun asked apathetically. Not with concern. Not with scorn. This was what you wanted, was it not? Why are you crying when she's only given you what you'd asked for?
"My Lord, please, slow down... i-it's too much-" You gasped as her slender fingers twisted and turned inside of you, abusing the same spot she found had you clinging to her shoulders for dear life. "Why? I don't understand. You asked for this."
While you did, in fact, ask for it, you wanted Ei to be inside of you. You missed the underlying sense of warmth and intimacy in her lingering touches— her ability to touch you somehow just where you want it and get you to orgasm with minimal effort.
"Explain." The Shogun's movements halted, giving you a much-needed moment to rest. You panted for breath and sputtered for words, frantically scrambling for an explanation. "I... I mistook you for Ei." You figured it'd be better to be honest with her, lest you wanted to lie and be the object of her wrath as if you weren't already.
You couldn't bear to look at the Shogun— but if you did, you wonder what you would see in those cold, desolate eyes of hers right at that moment. Would it be indifference? Anger? Perhaps, jealousy? You wouldn't ever know, and you don't wish to know.
Those thoughts are quickly washed away when her fingers start violently thrashing against your walls. "M-my Lord...! Why are you..." You mewled in pain as she bit down on your neck, blood trickling down to your collarbone. "That's right, I'm your Lord. Your Archon. Your mind and body belong to me, and they are mine to do as I please with."
"Understand; I'm not doing this for your pleasure, but because you need to learn your place." The Shogun's fingers moved in a scissoring motion, thoroughly spreading you out. Your nails clawed into her muscular back as you desperately tried to ground yourself from the mixture of hurt and pleasure you felt.
No amount of preparations could get you ready for the searing pain that coursed through your whole body as the Shogun burned her mark of ownership onto the back of your neck; a small symbol of the electro element that she governed over.
"Ei... Ei...!" You shrieked in pain as you desperately sought for the familiar yet at the same time distant comfort of your beloved Ei as you buried yourself in the Shogun's neck, but you couldn't feel any of it whatsoever.
She was merciful enough to continue thrusting her fingers into your puckering hole, alleviating your pain at the very slightest as she turned your body into a work of art of bruises, bites, and hickeys.
It was in the Shogun's nature to destroy, to ruin, and to conquer— she was well aware of that fact. It's what she was made for, and you're certainly no exception to it.
After a few seconds that felt as if they lasted centuries, the pain was gone. Though, that doesn't necessarily mean that the Shogun is done with claiming you as hers... If you could still think of Ei, or think of anything in general— it means she needs to go harder. She owns not only your body, but also your mind; and she'll make sure that you understand that.
"That's enough preparation," The Shogun pulled her fingers out, patting her thigh and signaling you to straddle her lap. "Sit." And of course, you do as you're told. Like an obedient, well-trained dog, although a bit timidly, you straddle her lap just as she asked of you.
You gulp as you hear the sizzling and crackling of electricity of thunder beneath you, both fearful and excited to see what she planned to do to you this time. Something flaccid presses against your entrance, growing harder and longer in size as time goes on.
"Hmph. That should suffice." Although whatever it was wasn't inside of you, at least not quite yet, you could feel that it was abnormally and ridiculously ginormous. Her strong hands lift your hips, aligning the warm tip to the entrance of your cunt.
"Please, my Lord! It won't fit!" The pathetically desperate last attempt you made to beg for her mercy only fell onto deaf ears. "I don't care. I'll make it fit." The Shogun growled, her hold on your waist almost strong enough to bruise.
If you thought the jolts of electricity from her fingers were intense, the voltage you felt when she suddenly brought you down to meet her electro cock was a million times worse.
Or better— you don't understand how, but it felt good. Not to mention its humongous size that made your pussy gape and throb. Contrary to what the Shogun expected, her fingers were nowhere near enough prep for you to take her cock.
"Mgh... so- hah..! deep!" You moaned. The pain slowly but surely turned into undeniable pleasure, and you couldn't deny how you were without a doubt inching closer and closer to orgasm. Not because of Ei, but because of the Shogun. The Shogun whom you and the entirety of Inazuma have grown to respect out of fear.
She raises your hips far enough so that only the tip of her cock remains before slamming you back down mercilessly. Tears continue to stream down your face; though, unlike earlier, the reason isn't because it hurt, but because it felt good.
You clawed and scratched at her back, only able to hope that she got the message that you were close to cumming. Her movements stay just as consistent, cruel, and relentless; tip kissing your cervix and shaft rubbing against spots you didn't even know you had inside of you.
"M-my Lord...!" As her thumb reached down to rub your clit, you came and squirted all over her abdomen with a shaky moan. You heaved a sigh of pleasure and relief, thinking this whole ordeal was over— that everything would go back to the way it was.
Though, when the woman stood over you, cock still standing proud with your cum forming a white ring on its base, you knew there was no going back.
"Get up. I'm not done with you yet."

Hi there! How do you think a team composition of Raiden, Diluc/Yelan (depending on the day), Kaeya and Kazuha would work? Especially in SAGAU terms.
I headcannon that Ei once referred to Kaeya as "son of Khaenri'ah" and Diluc has been defensive ever since.
Forgive me if I get Yelan's characterization wrong - she's one of the few characters I don't have, the most I've seen of her was the story quest, the Chasm event with Itto and Yanfei, and that she apparently stole a coat Pantalone wanted to give to the Tsaritsa, which honestly would immediately put her in Diluc's good books.
That being said - for Diluc and Yelan, I think the switching would work out really well. I mean, they're both busy businesspeople with probably tightly packed schedules, so I reckon your usual antics might even start a close partnership between the two, even if only on a personal level, i.e. each updating the other on what was done during their turn as that day's chosen vessel, or asking the other to potentially cover for them on a day where they just really really couldn't make it. They'd be grateful for the on and off schedule, it gives them time.
Yelan and Kaeya look like they'd be the kind of fast friends that are friendly only on the surface, because they are both distrustful of each other since they're equally sneaky, but I see them growing accustomed to each other as you take them out together. Hydro and Cryo work well naturally, and I can see them having an easier time working in synergy the more they begin to understand one another. It's not openness - neither of them is going to share their innermost workings with someone like that - but it is a form of comraderie that they both end up being thankful for. I'd wager Yelan reminds Kaeya of Rosaria somewhat, and that on downtimes, the two have gone out for drinks and perhaps some gambling.
As for himself and Diluc, Kaeya finds himself even more thankful for the opportunity. The chance for their bond to truly heal from what happened on the day of Crepus's death had not yet surfaced. He knew Diluc still cared - but in a different, silent, far more distant way than before. Kaeya did miss having his brother have his back, and doing the same for him. The first months were difficult - packed with "This meams nothing" and "I am following the Overseer's will, that is all", with Diluc ditching the place as soon as you tabbed out. Kaeya's teasing feels sharp, Diluc is almost cold, and the two can bicker back and forth so often that one would forget they are not the only ones on the team. The teasing never truly goes away. Diluc never truly lowers his guard. But the moment anyone or anything gets in the way of one, the other will lend a hand almost on instinct.
Diluc justifies it as doing it for you. You placed them together, and you rely on both of them, and it is very clear that you like them both enough to place them on your main team. You surely don't want any of them hurt, right? They both use the same argument to justify not sparring - a suggestion brought up by the Shogun, who was genuinely trying to help. Of course it's not because deep down both of them want the best for one another - it is simply because you want the best for both of them. Of course.
But if that were the reason, why would Diluc place himself between his brother and the Archon every time since he heard that one casual remark? He didn't know what bothered him so much about it - it was accurate, wasn't it? Son of Khaenri'ah. There was a time, once, when Diluc would've called it preposterous - Kaeya was a son of Crepus, just like he was. Regardless of his birth parents, he'd been raised a Ragnvindr.
But... was that really true? Had it ever been?
Being placed on the same team as Kaeya, Diluc finds himself grappling with thoughts he had back when everything came to light. For the vast majority of his life, Kaeya had been, indeed, just as much a child of Khaenri'ah as Diluc was a child of Mondstadt. But a man's future is not defined by his past - instead, his present. Kaeya is as much of a sneaky bastard as Diluc is used to him being... but the more the two work together, the more he realises that Kaeya has become more of a Mondstadter than he himself is aware of. He may have been a child of Khaenri'ah once, but the man he's grown into is as much of his brother as he thought him to be as children.
He does not, however, say this out loud. Ever.
The Shogun has since stopped reffering to him as that - it very clearly makes both of them incredibly uncomfortable, and though it is nice to get a break from the bickering, she was not actually looking to offend anybody. So far she's taken to reffering to Kaeya by title instead, adressing him as Captain. She doesn't strike me as the type to jump directly to being on a first name basis with people, and would want to maintain that distance.
Her and Diluc interact very little - she much prefers the Yelan days now, if only due to the fact that she knows there's still some lingering tension from that little incident. I could see the two getting along somewhat well before, but the relationship definitely soured in that awkward quiet way that never leads to an actual confrontation. But then again, I can see this being a very, VERY tense team. Like seriously the only person here that has no beef at all is Yelan.
Because while the brothers' antics take the main stage - their bickering is dramatic and explosive and their jabs at each other end up taking the attention from othet issues, which is quite thr relief - there is also the strained feelings between Kazuha and the Shogun.
Oh yes.
You and the Traveler may have gotten through to the Archon, shown her the power of people's hopes and dreams, and helped repel the Vision Hunt Decree. Inazuma may now be open again, and the Nation of Electro may be slowly rebuilding itself and its foreign relations after the civil war. The Shogun had her redemption arc, and joined you as a Vessel, and so far she has been nothing but helpful and reliable on the field of combat.
But Kazuha's friend is not any less dead.
Kazuha himself says that he's thought about it, and that he holds no resentment towards the Shogun. His friend died in an honorable duel, and that's that. But not resenting someone doesn't automatically mean a close or good relationship, nor does it mean that what was done has been forgotten. Kazuha supposes he'll trust your judgement, and that the Shogun is there to help - but there's still that lingering fear, that cold sweat when he wakes up and that shiver running down his back, because the aftermath of a war is never easy, and though she's on their side now, what if one day she isn't. Were it not for the brothers' antics - and possibly Kaeya, let us be honest here, he's the one who talks - the team would be... very, very silent.
From either angle, your team is PACKED with tension, but hopefully they'll be able to slowly grow to rely on each other, and maybe mend what was broken along the way.
With a bit of luck they go out for drinks and dango. I think they deserve it.

The atmosphere was as tense as a violin chord, thick and heavy as a blanket.
Yae eyes darted from Ei figure, calmly sipping tea from her cup, enjoying from time to time some small bite of the mochis on her plate, to you, clearly upset by something by the glares that you threw to the Shogun, who was obviously ignoring your attiotude.
Usually the afternoon at the Shogun residence, where the three of you shared some good chatting, news, and gossip from the towns, was a moment of pure relaxation and nothingless. It was the moment when the Raiden Shogun, the Head Maiden of the Narukami Shrine, and the Creator weren't such mighty and important figures, but just three friends who loved to spend some quality time together.
At least that was the case for the other days, since now there are some problems between you and the Shogun.
"Oh my, I wonder. You both are so chattering today. I'm guessing that whatever happened between you two must have been quite an event."
Before speaking, Ei's eyes sparked toward her friend. Did she really need to bring that up?!
"Me and Y/N had a discussion a few hours ago."
"We argued-"
You corrected, noticing Ei eyes rising toward you in the same glare.
"About some matters that aren't supposed to be on their minds right now."
"Um, um, and...what are those matters, to be precise?"
"I asked her to teach me how to fight."
The ceramic Ei cup clattered with the small plate in her hand. Why do you have to be so stubborn? She loved that thing about you, but, seriously, on those occasions, it was impossible! Yae hears, on the other hand, pointed up, showing her her full interest in the matter. Her eyes were full of a small glimmer.
"Oh really? And...why so?"
"Why not?!"
"Because you don't need to! I can protect you just like this!"
Finally, Ei decided to get out of her small, composed shell. She raised her voice, shocking you for a momet, and Yae, not so used from the Shogun to shout.
"I don't want to be protected! I want to be able to do it myself!"
"This world is merciless; one wrong step and-"
"I've been hurt and hunted by the nations, Ei; I'm far more aware of how this world works! I want to protect our people too!"
The two of you keep on having that argument in front of the fox lady.
She found the entire ordeal quite cute. She knew that, at some point , this was supposed to happen. You wanted so much to prove yourself, while Ei tried with all the strength of her being to reject the thought of losing her Creator. It was meant to happen that the two of you would crash at some point; it was later than she believed, but better than never, no?
Posing her cup, she started to adjust the front of her kimono.
"Umm...well, it seems like she won't help you, dear Y/N. Forget asking her to help you master the art of polearming."
Finally, thought there was some sense in that discussion! It was strange to hear Yae finally siding  with-
"So, instead, why don't try to master another weapon? Sarah would love to get the chance to teach you the bow—or the Kamisato sibling? I can sense it; the art of the sword would elevate your status."
Your face glowed (literally) for happiness, while Ei looked at the scene with confusion and so much disdain.
"Do you mean it?!"
"Of course! Maybe you can master all of them! Why don't we pay them a visit later?"
"AAAAAW! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"
You launched towards her, hugging her closely. She giggled a little, caressing your head in delight.
"I'm going to change! I'm going to need some proper gear...FIGHTING CLOTHING!"
You disappeared from the room, leaving the room again in the same silence. Ei keeps throwing light from her eyes towards the fox.
"....DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT?"
"They want to protect their and your people, Ei, and they don't want to be scared anymore... You should acknowledge that..."

I hope genshin players get more content about Raiden Shogun not Ei, the second puppet.
Cause I just realized that she is technically the second child of the Electro Archon and also how Ei became a not so good mom.
I'm not someone that knows that much about Genshin lore so feel free to correct me but from what I understand the were two sisters that basically made up a full Electro Archon that ruled Inazuma.
One sister died, then the other made a puppet that should have helped rule Inazuma but then the puppet cried so the living sister didn't want to put the poor thing through the horrors of life so she let the puppet do whatever he wanted.
Then the sister made another puppet and from what I understood at the time this puppet didn't show emotions and was good enough for the archon role and ruled well enough for years until a recent malfunction.
So now looking at the story again I have a few questions:
1) Does Raiden Ei see Wanderer and Shogun as her children ? Cause when you assemble an IKEA table you don't expect it to start calling momma or dada. She clearly has the ability to care for them but to what extent ?
2) How does Wanderer view the Shogun ? Does he hate the fact that she is essentially his replacement or does he pity her.
3) How does the Shogun actually feel ? It's like you're born and as you grow up you find out that you had an older brother that was (to your knowledge) thrown out for showing emotion so as a result you suppress all your emotions, then sometime in the future you end up sharing a body with your (mom?) creator and basically have to be a middle man for her whenever the outside world wants to see the Electro Archon.
Frankly I just want more info about the shogun

If there's one thing I want from genshin impact, then I wish they would at least rewrite the Inazuma Archon quest, like... That's literally the only thing I want.
Raking every archon quests, Inazuma one was worse than Mondstadt. So many plot holes and missed potential of some characters, especially Kokomi. The horrible redemption of Raiden Shogun. Not to mention , How does the Traveler manage to forgive her after literally everything she has done. Don't get me even start with the Singora's death -> The worst and most horrible idea that was ever created. And I want to point out HOW THE ENTIRE NATION WHO SUFFERED BECAUSE OF HER JUST FORGOT EVERYTHING AND FORGAVE HER??????
To me, Kazuha , carried the entire Archon quest, best boi>>>>
OH AND SPEAKING KAZUHA, DID U KNOW THAT HE WAS TRAUMATIZED AND HIS FRIEND DIED BC OF RAIDEN SHOGUN???
Oh sorry sorry, I meant Ei 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Alright, here goes nothing. I'm actively writing:
-Seeds of Courage, a mostly-complete short fic set not long after the Sumeru Archon Quest, in which Nahida deals with the fact that 500 years of The Horrors is, in fact, traumatic; and finally starts to heal
-When Flowers Bloom After the Storm, a longer fic focused on the Raiden Shogun, and her journey from being Ei's puppet to being her own person. (She gets a Vision and a life-changing field trip, it's fun)
-the Deshret Resurrection AU I've occasionally posted about which may or may not turn into an actual fic
-a Genshin modern AU, with a twist: it's actually a post-canon AU, set over a thousand years later
-a Breath of the Wild AU where Zelda is the one who gets stuck in the Shrine of Resurrection
-an A:TLA AU where Aang died in the ice and the Avatar Spirit passed to Yue
-a Star Rail fic about Yaoshi becoming an Aeon during the Swarm Crisis (we don't know much about THEIR backstory, so it's free game!)
(The last four are still just drafts, but I'm happy to chat about them! Maybe it'll inspire me to write something?)
Reblog if you write fic and people can inbox you random-ass questions about your stories, itemized number lists be damned.

Ch.54: The Omnipresent God
Ei narrating
Yae Miko narrating
Tumblr media
Upon leaving Tenshukaku
Paimon: The Raiden Shogun isn't gonna let us off just like that, right? The air feels suffocating... it must be the Raiden Shogun's almightiness...
"Signora... is slain."
Paimon: One strike from the Shogun, and now Signora's gone... She got what she deserved, but Paimon still can't help but feel upset. Why are they doing it... Why are the Harbingers collecting all the Gnoses?
Aether and Y/n stave off a headache
Paimon: Hmm? Aether, Y/n, you guys a headache? Chin up... let's get out of this place, Paimon feels... unsettled.
"The Musou no Hitotachi..."
Paimon: Also... when the Shogun executed Signora with the Musou no Hitotachi... it was unbelievably powerful... It seems impossible to defend against... and if so, we've got no hope whatsoever of defeating her in combat...
"Yae Miko's plan..."
Paimon: So to recap, Yae Miko wants us to go back inside the Plane of Euthymia by the Statue of the Omnipresent God... But... we'll be like lambs to the slaughter, won't we? M—Maybe we could put this plan on hold for a while... There's the sound of Electro zapping in the air... Paimon can barely breathe...
Aether and Y/n stave off another headache once more
Paimon: Aether, Y/n, are you guys okay? You're both so silent...
"It's so... noisy outside..."
Paimon: It sounds like there's a lot of noise coming from outside Tenshukaku... Has a fight broken out or something? The guards seem really nervous... Let's go see what the situation is, shall we?
Tumblr media
Aether and Y/n stumble out of Tenshukaku gloomily. By chance, the resistance forces have broken through the leaderless Shogunate troops, arriving beneath Tenshukaku. Having not met them in some time, they step forward, but just then, the Raiden Shogun appears behind them, unleashing her legendary Musou no Hitotachi.
Paimon: *shocked*
Gorou/Kazuha/Tomo: *shocked*
Y/n: *pushed Aether out of the way*
Just as it seems that divine punishment will be meted out, the Masterless Vision on Kazuha crackles and gains the Electro color and symbol as the words of Tomo ring in both his and Tomo's minds once more: "There will always be those who dare to brave the lightning's glow"
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Y/n: .... *surprised*
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
(Pretend Tomo was with Kazuha as well)
Sanogonomiya Resistance Member: Charge!
Gorou: Attack!
The Visions in the Statue of the Omnipresent God light up as Aether, Y/n, and Paimon start getting worried for the members of the resistance
Paimon: What do we do!? They're no match for her!
Aether turns to strike the Shogun. As expected, the Plane of Euthymia opens before him once more as Y/n manages to follow him by quickly turning into a bubble and entering the Plane of Euthymia with Aether. Once they enter, they see Ei as she comes down from a meditating position
Ei: So, we meet again. Indulge my curiosity. What is the reason that I find you both standing here before me once again? Do you both hope your foolhardiness will shelter those people? Or... was it simply a means of seeking an audience with me?
Aether: The Fatui have deceived the Raiden Shogun.
Y/n: And the Vision Hunt Decree should never have existed.
Ei: Oh? Surely you both didn't rouse me from my state of eternal meditation only to tell me this? If so, then you both underestimate me. I am quite well-informed about the Vision Hunt Decree. This matter shouldn't concern you the most. Y/n, Morax pushed you away so you don't meddle into the affairs of us archons, but yet, you chose to get involved. I'm quite disappointed.
Y/n: ...
Aether: You know everything that's going on outside?
Ei: Not so. Only everything that pertains to eternity. The Vision Hunt Decree has my tacit approval. The Fatui's actions thus far do not constitute a threat to eternity, otherwise... they would have been purged long ago.
Y/n: You say that it's wrong for me to get involved with the matters of the Archons but, I've already been involved since my birth. *sighs* Even if you claim that your disappointed in me I know most certainly that the Vision Hunt Decree is damaging. It comes at a great cost to the people of Inazuma. All the decrees, not just the Vision Hunt Decree, is all cruel just injustice in the eyes of the people of Inazuma.
Ei: *gets a bit frustrated* Individual ambition is inherently incompatible with eternity. What you might not realize is that all too often... people have far more to lose by chasing their dreams. Consider this Y/n — no one will lose their life on account of having their Vision taken away... Rather, those who have lost their lives are the ones who insisted on pursuing their own aspirations, are they not?
Y/n: Teppei...
Ei: Y/n, both your and your male companions' existence is unique in my eyes. There seems to be limitless uncertainty in you. To put it another way, you are the furthest thing from eternity. So I won't insist that you comprehend the meaning of my actions. What matters is that I tread the path of eternity on my people's behalf.
Aether: This is your Plane of Euthymia... It is created by your consciousness, yes?
Ei: That's right. I'm surprised you understand it so well... Anyway. You're looking for a chance to shake my will... aren't you?
Aether/Y/n: We're not here to debate your ideas. We're here to demolish them.
Ei: ... So be it. Well then, you both who would defy eternity... Time for you both to enlighten me.
During the battle even, if Aether and Y/n trained with Yae Miko, Ei's attacks were quick as the lightning, giving them no time to think of a counter strategy but soon they both run to attack Raiden, but this time they doe not fall but they soon notice the two Grand Narukami Shrine Omamori they each received from Yae Miko is sparkling when they take them out. Suddenly, Yae Miko appears before them.
Yae Miko: Dear me, aren't you both cutting it rather close?
Ei: Miko, this was your doing...?
Yae Miko: *laughs a bit* Now, now, don't forget who taught you how to place your consciousness in objects. *crouches between Aether and Y/n's level* Surely you both don't think your ambitions alone is enough to shake Ei's will? Do you?
Aether/Y/n: ...
Yae Miko: Though you both are here, they too have ambitions which they long since entrusted to you two.
Aether and Y/n soon recall the memories they shared with those who shared the same ambitions as them.
Yae Miko: Now then you two, close your eyes
They closed their eyes as the people's ambitions begin to shine through into the Plane of Euthymia and illuminates the realm. Teppei, in a flash, appears briefly in the position of Aether and Y/n as they are imbued with a golden aura as they take on the ambitions of the people: Abolish the Vision Hunt Decree. As the Electro Archon smiles and the fight resumes.
Tumblr media
Yae Miko: You've lost, Ei.
Ei: *sighs* ...Yes, I have.
Yae Miko: Why can you not trust your people, and in the power of their ambitions? These ambitions have transcended space and time. They are something that no one can snuff out.
Aether: When people move forward with all their might...
Y/n: They can surpass the gods' expectations. And even take over the work of the gods.
Yae Miko: Is this the lesson you both learned from your journey in Liyue?
Aether: Yes.
Yae Miko: There are nations where humans cast their god aside and stride forward...? So, are we to just abandon the notion of progress... for the sake of wishful thinking?
Ei: ...You and I have both witnessed the great loss that progress can bring. *has her hand on her chest* Eternity... eternity is the only way...
Tumblr media
When lightning flashes, it casts a shadow. My name means shadow, With my blade, I purged all obstacles to progress. And yet... something was lost with each step forward. In the end, I even lost her. The tales are still retold in the shade of every Thunder Sakura, But the wounds left on our nation by that terrible loss still ache "Never stop searching, even if only for a brief flash of light if nothing else, we have the present moment" She said that once. But I've seen a nation stride forward and lose everything to the Heavenly Principles. Perhaps only if time stands still will the lightning's glow never fade. The present moment is a fragile illusion, Only Eternity can bring us closer to the Heavenly Principles. I am no longer the shadow, "Mine is the most supreme and noble form. Let power over the realm be vested in me. In this form shall I honor my subjects' dream for a land of Eternity, unchanging forevermore"
Tumblr media
Yae Miko: The Heavenly Principles... Irrelevant nonsense as far as I am concerned. When all's said and done, all you really want is to protect your beloved Inazuma, forever and ever. Isn't that right?
Ei: That would be something of an oversimplification.
Yae Miko: But is this nation worth existing for eternity? Stripped of ambitions, stripped of the potential for change, it does nothing more than simply... exist. It is a hollow shell of a nation. Huh. I wonder what loss would it really be to anyone if such a nation were destroyed?
Ei: Miko, retract your words. Never-changing eternity is the promise I made to my people.
Yae Miko: But what your people need from you is not your promises. They want your attention... your divine gaze.
Ei: ...You mean Visions? Humans have a lifespan of barely a hundred years. They cannot afford to bear any extra losses. But I have experienced it all. That is why I have chosen to guide them along the correct path toward eternity.
Yae Miko: *sigh*... But eternity is far too cruel a fate for you, Ei.
Ei: For me?
Yae Miko: Not only have you stopped paying attention to the world, but you have stopped paying attention to yourself. It must have been terribly lonely here, all alone, for centuries on end.
Ei: But it is necessary...
Yae Miko: You will miss much by refusing progress... You seek to prevent loss, but have you considered all you are losing by remaining here in stasis for all eternity? You are obviously lonely, and yet for the sake of eternity you choose to stretch your loneliness out to infinity... Tell me this. Why is the sky here that was once so dark glowing again? Why now? This is your Plane of Euthymia. It's your inner world. So it can only mean... that you are happy to see me again. You have found the loneliness here unbearable for a long time now, haven't you?
Ei: I... have nothing to say to that.
Yae Miko: Hehehe, oh, but I have so much to say to you. Let me tell you all that has happened over the last few centuries.
Ei: How long will that take?
Yae Miko: As a fox envoy, I have an excellent memory. I recall every detail of the last few centuries with perfect clarity. So it will probably take me another few centuries to relay it to you.
Ei: Heh... hehe... Miko, I never thought I would have the chance to meet with you like this again. *sigh* Seeing you again is a change to eternity... and a very nice surprise.
Yae Miko: Hehe, since you are willing to admit that, I suppose that means we can still be friends?
Ei: What a childish conversation this is. Anyway. Now that I have been defeated by you both and your plan, I will honor your wish to abolish the Vision Hunt Decree. But with regards to eternity and the question of whether this nation should move forward, I need time to give it some thought.
Yae Miko: Hehe, you are the one who's been acting like a child from the very beginning.
As promised, the Raiden Shogun abolished the Vision Hunt Decree. Finally, her people's wishes penetrated her locked heart. Beyond the Plane of Euthymia, she saw what eternity means in the eyes of the world. When one's fervent ambition burns brightly the gods will cast their gaze upon you. Some ambitions, have the power to heal wounds, to bring victory, to inspire hope. But some ambitions, Outlive their masters, long after the soul ascends. They remain as they were in the beginning. Burning bright and true, For all eternity.
Paimon: So what did you guys do in the Raiden Shogun's Plane of Euthymia anyway? Is the Vision Hunt Decree abolished?
Y/n: It was all thanks to Yae Miko. We conveyed the wishes of the people.
Paimon: Oh, gotcha... Paimon was super worried, y'know. So maybe the reason Yae Miko is looking for us now is 'cause she wants to thank us? Let's go find her.

Note
what are your otps and notps? and why?
Baldur's Gate 3:
OTP: Wyll x Astarion. Chemistry, both have traumas, many tropes I enjoy like monster hunter x monster. They have their moments in canon too, they're clearly attracted to each other. + Astarion's line about wanting to marry a prince-like type like Wyll.
OTP: Lae'zel x Shadowheart. They are insane. Peak enemies to lovers content. They have so much tension, but they're perfect for each other. Like Shadowheart said, if they channeled all that energy into their enemies, they'd be unstoppable together. + Healer and warrior trope. Mwah.
NOTP: I don't really have one. Maybe Astarion x Shadowheart? They don't really fit together. But I don't hate it either. They're just more like gay best friends.
Genshin Impact:
OTP: Neuvillette x Furina. The angst potential of these two is crazy. Not to be obsessed but like. They spent 400 years together as the rulers of Fontaine. And now Furina thinks it's better that they don't see each other and Neuvillette is desperate to see her again. THE PINING. The misunderstandings. Furina being lonely for centuries and having only Neuvillette as her only companion but being unable to share herself completely with him because her entire nation's existence depends on it?? The grief?? And what Neuvillette must be feeling when he finds out she's sacrificed so much for her people and has had to shoulder so much by herself, an ordinary human? THE GUILT??? And after everything, she's mortal now and what if they missed their chance?? But it could also finally be their moment to be honest and real with each other and heal together. + Neuvillette giving her a vision with dragon claws.. To mark her as being beyond Celestia's clutches. Don't get me started on these two holy shit I WILL go on forever
OTP: Zhongli x Lumine. Old dragon hot. Jk I also love them for lore reasons and they'd be beautiful together.
OTP: Kaeya x Lumine. My original and first ship in Genshin. I just love them so much. I don't really have any coherent thoughts on them I just adore them together. + They're both outsiders.
OTP: Xiao x Lumine. Can you tell I play a fem traveler? Anyway. There's sooo many moments in canon where they're together and having intimate conversations. Xiao appearing only when Lumi calls for him?? "I'll do it because it's you." (paraphrasing). Xiao keeps saving her? Honestly that whole Chasm questline was so much food for us.
OTP: Raiden Shogun x Kujou Sara. Okay hear me out. The archon and her general. The deity and her worshiper. The idol and the fan. I just.... They just are so good. Sara has dedicated her whole life and herself fully to Ei. There's nothing else in her mind. She's loyal, dutiful soldier and she loves the Shogun almost to the point of obsession. That kind of love, devotion... Chef's kiss.
OTP: Cyno x Alhaitham. I like them a lot but I feel like @elbatmun would be better to explain their dynamic. I'm not super invested but going from enemies to friends to lovers is always so good.
OTP: Beidou x Ningguang. The original lesbians of this game. I mean come on. That lantern rite moment where she compliments Ningguang's looks? That moment was loaded. And even in the event going on right now, Beidou keeps her in her mind and wants to get her a potion because she has trouble sleeping.. They're so cute. + The time they traveled to Mondstadt together and went on a date to the tavern.
OTP: Clorinde x Navia. The Fontaine version of Beigguang.. Nah I mean they've got their own stories and chemistry. This is another tragic ship that has angst potential. HOWEVER, they already moved past it in canon and are now friends. So it's a friends to lovers story arc and I love it. + Protector and princess vibes.
NOTP: Wriothesley x Neuvillette. They have nothing in canon, it's just an empty ship born from people's wish to have two men together.
NOTP: Kaveh x Alhaitham. I saw the potential and I get why people ship them but it just.. something about them rubs me the wrong way. Plus the way people act like they're canon is really annoying. Honestly it sounds like they hate each other from their interactions.

I've mentioned Genshin on this blog and posted an art piece a bit ago about Furina for 4.2 but here's my first actual Genshin text post.
I have a lot of mixed feelings on Sumeru. When I first saw the characters, I was extremely disappointed. The designs are pretty cool in terms of clothing and shape and such, but the skin colors are so pale for a nation based on SWANA and Egyptian cultures. Not to say that either of these groups can't be pale or light-skinned, but like. When your darkest characters are Cyno and Candace and they're still BARELY dark at all? It just rubs me the wrong way. Not only that, but Nahida- the Archon of said nation- being nearly PAPER white is just. Hm. Idk. But the stories and personalities of these characters are really good! I think other than Fontaine, the Sumeru characters are some of my favorites in terms of backstory! Plus, as we get more nations and Hoyo actually starts to know what they're doing, the cast of each nation has intertwining relationships and dynamics and it's wonderful!! Cyno, Tighnari, and Collei are such a sweet found family dynamic, Kaveh and Alhaitham are so so chewable whether you ship them or not, Candace and Dehya being the girl's girls of the desert while still being strong fighters and warriors is lovely!! And I could talk about Nahida and Wanderer all day, don't even get me started. Or Nilou, Dehya, and Dunyarzad! The fact that even an NPC was so well done!!
And the stories of Sumeru are good, don't get me wrong. The Archon Quest was a wild ride and it was extremely captivating, but here's the thing. Every single Sumeru quest feels like I have to spend three months to get them done. They have good stories to tell and they're genuinely really interesting, but because doing the actual quests takes for-fucking-ever, I lose interest and start skipping dialogue and such. And listen, I'm a lore-player. I play Genshin specifically for the lore, and I just cannot sit through this fucking Aranara quest. Everytime it tells me to go do another side quest, my love for Sumeru drops a little bit more and more.
Sumeru isn't my least favorite nation. Well, it just barely misses that mark. Inazuma is at the bottom of the list solely because the way they did the Archon Quest has the exact opposite problem of Sumeru: It felt rushed and ended so abruptly, and I felt like I didn't have time to connect to any of the main characters in the quest. I think this could be solved at least a little bit by having Ei's story quest be part of the Archon Quest where we go and battle Raiden Shogun. And the reason I say this isn't even necessarily to make the Archon Quest longer but because I feel like without it, the Archon Quest isn't complete.
The whole reason Ei and Raiden put Inazuma in a lockdown was because of two factors: the Fatui's manipulation and Ei's grief for Makoto. We solved the Fatui issues in the Archon Quest, but that was only part of it. The reason Ei and Raiden were able to be tricked by the Fatui in the first place was because of her grief, because she doesn't want anything in Inazuma to change after Makoto's death and she's willing to go to extreme measures to keep it that way because she's grieving for Makoto and doesn't want to- or rather can't- let go of the past. We hardly touch on that in the Archon Quest, so it feels like we only solve part of the problem. Ei still isolates herself in her Plane of Euthymia and meditates, still dwelling on the past and letting her grief consume her.
But in her story quest, we see her start to heal and let go and we see her grief start to lessen. It doesn't go away right away, of course, that's not how grief works, but we see her make progress and realize that she has to move on in order to help both herself and her nation. And that is what makes the whole story of Inazuma complete. The source of the Sakoku Decree to keep Inazuma the same was because she wanted to keep everything as it was when Makoto was the Electro Archon, like how a parent will keep their kid's bedroom untouched even after that kid grows up and moves away. It was because of that mindset of holding on to Makoto that she didn't see how the Fatui were pulling the strings and hurting her people. But because of the events in her story quest, she's able to see past her pain and past Makoto and realize that her people need her.
But again, because that was in her story quest and not the Archon Quest, it feels unfished and rushed. And then with Sumeru, it just feels like they stretch it out too far and fill their quests with a lot of unnecessary details and small side quests. It drags it out too long and I start to lose interest in the actual important parts of the story. It kinda feels like Sumeru is a big run-on sentence, if that makes sense? I've spent so fucking long on this Aranara quest and I'm STILL not done, it's insane.
In a way, especially with Sumeru being released directly after Inazuma, it was like they reazlied Inazuma was so rushed and went "Well, we gotta make the next one longer!" and then turned the dial WAY too far to the other side.
Anyway, that's all I really had to say! Like I said, they're getting better at handling these issues as we get more nations and they listen to the players. Fontaine was absolutely wonderful! Not too short, not too long, and the characters and dynamics were great!! I'm a little scared for Natlan since Hoyo has such a shit reputation for handling any culture that's not European or East Asian, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up just to be disappointed, but here's to hoping that at least the stories will be good!

Things from Afar
~Summary: Part 2 of "Otherworldly Things". But I'm doing Nahida and Ei this time.
Tumblr media
A week has passed since Venti and Zhongli had tried to convince you to come to Teyvat, but, you had work and school to catch up on and even if you did go there and get everything you wanted, it felt undeserving.
Another phenomenal accident happened where a bright glowing computer popped out a small child and a grown woman, both being obviously the other released archons, lying on the floor dizzy from the transport process.
"So, more overgrown children under my belt" you sighed in frustration. Venti and Zhongli peeked from the doorway wondering how your mental health might deteriorate more now with Nahida and Ei swimming like clueless fish.
"Peepaw. Cockroach. Help me move these guys to the living room" you turned to the two men behind the corner of the door. Both then started to carry the two lying figures out of the room, Zhongli cradling Nahida in his arms while Venti dragged Ei from her arms out the door "Why do you get to carry Buer, your the brute out of the two of us!" "As the responsible one, it is my responsibility that the children are safe" both exchange words as Venti drags Ei in defeat.
Tumblr media
Raiden Ei
When she woke up with you watching The Lorax while waiting for them to gain consciousness, she was about to slam her forehead to the floor in a bowing position before you stopped her.
"Look, I know you're here with the same reason as the other two before you; my answer is NO. I have done my best to get through with this life and get somewhere with it and I'm not gonna let it crumble down because of some crap my old did and you crawling to my feet. Ok"
She was flabbergasted by your words, but then again, they were your words and she cannot disobey.
"Also, tell the operator to find a way to get you guys home. I'm running out of money to feed the other two and now you and Nahida"
Her soul left her body when she heard those words leaving your mouth.
You. Their divine creator. Babying them and sacrificing your own wellbeing for them.
She was on her knees and her head on the floor "Your grace, I apologize for exploiting your time and effort. Please allow me to return the gratitude"
"... Are you willing to get a job?"
She was a bit stunned but still wanted to repay you "Yes. I will get a 'job' to repay your omniscients' grace" her head and I was still on the floor.
And now she's working as a cashier in a nearby convenience store.
Tumblr media
Nahida
When she woke up in the middle of your living room on a couch right next to the Raiden shogun, she was a little startled, so she tried to jump off but was seen by Venti staring at her from across the room
"uhmm... Hi?"
"hey"
Was all he said and continued to stare at her.
"Uhm... How is it with their Grace? Are they willing to come back?"
"No, they wanna stay here. And I don't know why"
"why are you looking at me like that?"
"their grace said to keep an eye on you until they get back from grocery shopping"
The silence flooded the room once again, and the awkwardness continues.
Some time later
You come back with Ei to see Nahida and Venti in a staring contest "... Don't wanna ask anymore but whaddya want for dinner?"
Nahida was blank for a moment until Venti mentioned he wanted apple pie.
Nahida scolded him that he shouldn't to you so casually
"Don't worry too much about it. You want anything?" you spoke to her softly.
She was stuttering in between her words with the pressure that she was speaking to the Omniscient Overseer and couldn't find the words.
"It's alright" you knelt down trying to ease her burden "You don't have to be so formal. Right now, I'm [name], not The Omniscient Overseer, alright" You gently held her with the aura of comfort through your words.
"Well. I'll take whatever you like" She smiles at you.
That was the first time someone saw her as a child, not literally, but as someone who has not experienced the world with her own senses.
She's happy with that.

Sagau but the reader is the ACTUAL creator pt4.
Pt 3 Pt5
y'all, im thinking of an official name for this series. I feel like thorny love sounds sweet? what do u think? lmk plesae.
____
The last few days have been peaceful and quiet. You did your best filling out documents since Seraphina refuses to cut you off some slack; Revelyn enjoys simply being in your company. She's a rather timid person, you have to say. "Now then dear, what would you say going to Inazuma?" You asked Revelyn and smiled at her.
"I'm okay with going anywhere, as long as you are with me." Revelyn replied rather quickly, almost like her attention was on you the whole time. The last part was muttered quietly, but it didn't go unheard by you.
You chuckled, "Fret not, I wouldn't dare leave you. But do you not think you should go back to the mortal realm? I'm quite sure it is rather boring here." You have been insisting for some time that Revelyn returns to the mortal realm, it is unusual for the creator to favour someone more, not to add so blatantly!
Of course, whenever you brought up this topic Revelyn always looked so alarmed. You aren't going to abandon here after all this time, are you? "Um.. Everyone probably hates me.. I feel rather unsafe there. Please let me stay with you.." She said, she has used this excuse for the seventh time.
You sighed for the umpteenth time. Really, you can't keep fancying one of your devotee over the others. That would be sure to put a blemish on your dear acolyte's faith. You wouldn't wish that, ever.
"Do not put so less faith in my acolytes; I am sure they would welcome you with open arms." Right, you gotta keep insisting and assuring her, at the same time. Of course, you don't want her to feel unwanted in any sense, but still. You can't keep babysitting a mortal. That's what the Archons are for.
Tears welled up in Revelyn's eyes. She was sure this would stir some emotions and guilt out of you. Right? It always worked. It has to work now also. You wouldn't dare to leave one of your favourite devotee, would you?
But no worries, because, you my pal, are the master at setting boundaries when needed.
"Call me cold, if you must Revelyn. However, I cannot keep you here any longer. You are a mortal; I am The Creator. You ought to live in the mortal realm." You said, hardly amused by her antics. You have dealt with numerous different mortals. Revelyn was no exception.
"B-But, Your Grace. Please. I beg of you. They will harm me." Her voice started wavering and you were sure in no time she would be a sobbing mess. This was how it always ended whenever you brought up the topic of her leaving. Her crying and you consoling her. It was rather stressful.
"They will not. I assure you." And with those words came a full-on sobbing session. Of course, you wouldn't let that deter you. This is harsh of you, but you have to be harsh sometimes.
"Can-Can we at least go to Inazuma together? Please..?" She whispered in a delicate voice. Just a few more moments with you is what she asks for.
"Hm. Yes. I will leave you be in Inazuma too. Alright." You left before she could reply. Man, you were thankful that Revelyn is finally off to the mortal realm. No offense to her, but it does get annoying dealing with her. Because whenever you are with her, you can't help but feel that she has a sinister aura. Not in the sense of her attempting to assassinate you or something; just something far more you can comprehend.
______
"The Divine Creator steps foot into Inazuma! Inform the Almighty Raiden Shogun at once! Hasten now! We must prepare a room for the Creator! It must be of the most extravagant tastes with the most lavish bedsheets!" The one in charge kept barking demands and blabbering on about how luxurious your room should be. You had barely set afoot into Inazuma and you had already been adorned in jewels. It was sure tiring you supposed. You had come only to visit Yae Miko & Ei, dropping Revelyn here in the process.
Revelyn couldn't help but cling a little closer to you now. Whether it be by clasping onto your dress or holding your hand. You didn't mind, not at all. Of course, a few people threw some nasty looks at Revelyn, but other than that things were dandy. You were sure the news of your arrival would reach the other Archons fast. Ah, you couldn't help but adore your little creations. Weren't they just so adorable? Begging for your attention like some kind of puppies. You favoured the Archons above all; that was clear as day. The thought made Revelyn scowl with jealousy.
Revelyn is sure that you think of her as nothing but a mere mortal. You pity her weak form, don't you? Oh, if you really do pity her, please let her stay with you a bit longer. She will go to hell and beyond to spend another moment with you; the divine creator. She heard people sing praises of you. Not only in Teyvat, but far away from Teyvat. From worlds unknown to the people. She is an outlander and you are the divine one. People in her world talked about how ethereal the creator of Teyvat is; a prodigy. She wants to worship you. She wants to worship each part of your body. Will you let her? Please do so, she is but a weak frail mortal. Right?
Her thoughts shattered the moment she saw purple hair. Ah, the wicked witch is here, isn't she? To steal you away from her.

Last Resort (SAGAU brainrot)
contains !! imposter au, cult behavior, kind of crack, spoilers for character backstories
about !! in a last desperate act to save yourself, you reveal their secrets (note: venti and zhongli did not reveal their identities as archons)
You've finally been cornered by your beloved characters after weeks of running from the angry crowds. They immediately bring you to the middle of the town square, the archons present and deciding on the verdict.
Not that there's any other punishment but death.
"For your grave offense against the divine creator, you are hereby sentenced to a public execution," It was Ei who announces this and your stomach drops.
"On what grounds! I didn't- I don't even know this divine creator! How could I have insulted them-"
"Blasphemy! You claim not to know of the divine creator yet you dare to impersonate them!" Venti accuses, stepping forward to face your kneeling form. You were growing desperate and frustrated at their stubbornness. As a lover of the genshin lore, you couldn't help but spout the next words from your mouth.
"Pretty bold coming from a wind spirit! That isn't even your face!"
The winds of Teyvat freeze. You freeze too. Oh god oh god is he angry? Are they going to torture you now too? You take this pause as a chance to ramble — your last resort in worming your way out of execution — your entire being high on adrenaline and fear. "I mean, as the anemo archon of the land of freedom, doesn't this seem too oppressive? Appearances, really?"
"And- and what's this talk about an imposter? If anything, are we really going to ignore Albedo's double in Dragonspine?" Much of the crowd is confused, but you visibly see Amber, Eula, and Albedo stare at you in mixed shock.
"The raiden shogun is practically an imitation of the real god as well! Aren't our situations kind of the same? Archons, Inazuma had twin rulers yet no one seemed to realize that!" Ei grips onto her sword, taking a step back in quiet horror, "If anything, my case sounds a little unfair!"
"What about Kaeya! He's not even from Mondstadt! He's from- actually let's not get into that." The cavalry captain flinches. Jean, who opted to watch quietly, steps forward to narrow her eyes at you.
"What in archons name are you saying? This does not plead your case of impersonating-"
"I'm trying to convince you that I'm not even from here! I've never heard of a divine creator and all that matters to me in this world is the lore and the characters! Archons, all the months I've spent studying the lore just to get killed by something I missed-"
At this point, you don't really know what you're saying. It was beginning to be a ramble about your lore knowledge and the people around you stared in mixed confusion and shock.
"All of your archons are broke. Xiao eating snow and Ganyu eating glaze lilies are really concerning. Diluc's the darknight hero and he still keeps Kaeya's ugly vase in his manor! And um- Ningguang tried to sell her vision once and Keqing has Rex Lapis plushies in her bedroom! And erm Shenhe is Chongyun's auntie? Guoba was the stove god and Xiangling found him! And there's also- I- and- ah-"
"You," Zhongli points his spear at you, a vortex vanquisher which you've grinded all your primogems for. His voice is calm and cautious, almost hesitant. "Spouting such obscure information-"
"That.. vortex vanquisher," You start, "It took me months of saving to earn it. I finally equipped you with it last month. I thought it would suit your aesthetic as Zhongli."
Last month. You had finally earned Zhongli's weapon, quickly equipping him and falling asleep only to wake up in the world of genshin.
Last month. The day their divine god disappeared, leaving the vessels to feel empty. When talks of an imposter surfaced, they were quick to assume that perhaps your existence had angered their god. If they deal with you swiftly, the creator would grace them with their presence once again, right?
Could you really blame them for their desperation? The thought of being abandoned by their god is an inborn fear for the people of Teyvat. So many imposters were given unquestionable worship in the past, only for them to misuse it.
Zhongli remembers the day an imposter made him slaughter his fellow gods in the archon war. Ei was pitted against her friends for an imposter. And Mondstadt was ruled under the tyranny of one during Decarabian's era. The ley lines of Teyvat consumed sin and it manifests itself through imposters.
Now, Zhongli's grip on his polearm weakens as he stares at you. His hands tremble and jaw relaxes. Suddenly making eye contact, the geo archon notices the faint glimmer of stars in your eyes.
The stars of Teyvat will always have a place for you.
"Y-your grace?"
Kaeya: So... You really kept that ugly vase in the manor?
Diluc: Hmp
— 🤍 —
Zhongli: Xiao, how many times did I tell you to stop your habit of eating snow?
Xiao: ...
— 🤍 —
*Venti having an existential crisis because of his appearance*
You: I'm uh, sorry, didn't really mean that. Kind of.
— 🤍 —
Ningguang: So... Rex Lapiz plushies huh...
Keqing: It's not what you think!!
— 🤍 —
*cue people worshipping Guoba*
All hail the stove god
consider supporting me on ko-fi !
note !! a quick random drabble bc in reality, we really do know a lot of secrets if ever we find ourselves in sagau. this was a sleep deprived drabble but i hope you like it anyway!

was gonna put it all in the tags but I apparently have a lot to say lol
I named mine Mako! Because imagine the Pain if Ei kept him because he reminded her so much of Makoto, so much so that she names him after the fallen Archon.
(I was contemplating Mako or Koto for his name and settled on Mako because sounds lol)
(Bonus: given I don't have him I get a jumpscare when I see a character named “Mako” appear on the serenitea pot blueprints)
Mako being his name, to me, gives him his own identity but its still connected to his roots.
It's a name from the very roots of his origins (Makoto's death causing Ei's grief and pursuit of Unchanging Eternity, and thus the Raiden Shogun & Wanderer's creations), while also being different enough for him to mold it into his future (as the Traveler gives him this name so he can start anew)
He is Ei's creation, and to acknowledge that in an Inazuman name (one derived/similar to the name of Ei's twin) is a step forward. He takes the name and uses it to carve his future, not behind the shadow of someone else, but beside them (or, in this case, Makoto is the shadow for once, being what trails behind him as a reminder, but not a cruel one. Because Makoto was the kinder of the two sisters) (looming over him less like a crushing pressure, and more like a gentle warmth of a blanket over one's shoulder's on a cold day)
What’s the best name for the Wanderer and why is it objectively Makoto?
