Idk what tag to use to describe the phenomenon of "Tiktok/Instagram Reels being full of toxic femininity/Gender Roles 2 but I just want to make a thread of examples of batshit takes I have seen from Instagram Reels (I don't have examples for all of them):
"I hate playing with my kids because I think they're 'emotionally abusive'/'gaslighting' when they change the rules every 30 seconds and rough house with me. Also, only fathers can enjoy playing with kids because they don't parent like mothers do (being a mom is soooooo harddddd). I refuse to teach my kids how to play nice and go shocked Pikachu when they don't."
"If you're over 25 you will never find a partner ever and should just get an arranged marriage" (said by someone IN THEIR LATE 20S)
"Sleep studies are all based on mens' needs women actually need 10 hours of sleep because uterus"
Just a whole lot of "Girls are mature well-behaved angels until they hit their double digits, then they become satanic demons from hell. Meanwhile boys are satanic demons from hell BEFORE puberty instead."
"Children produce more oxytocin around their dads because dads are the fun parents and they will never appreciate the hard work their mothers do"
"Bullying is good actually because something something evolutionary psychology. I am very smart, I was a gifted kid in high school"
"Men are useless overgrown children who can't keep house or be trusted around babies. But if a man can keep house and/or is good with children, he's either 'not a real man', a pedo, or gay."
"Some women??? Beat their kids??? To cope??? Kids should understand when mommy brings out the chapathi roller it's because they're just ungrateful brats! Being a mother is sooooo harddddd"
#...yeah ex-college classmates how's being married at 21 and kids at 22 working out for y'all?#that can be the only reason why I'm seeing reels like this constantly no matter how much I purge my timeline#gender roles 2#toxic femininity#don't get married fresh out of college kids#or you'll end up like an instagram mommy#if anyone else has examples please add this shit needs to be studied#anti instagram

Hypothetically
Chronically single, you suggest a pact with your best friend to start a family together when you turn forty.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x bau fem reader
Category: fluff/comfort
Warnings: marriage and baby talk, reader is insecure because she feels left out
A/n: This is my entry for the kid fic challenge by @imagining-in-the-margins! This was like a breath of fresh air from all the smut I’ve been writing
"Do you want to have a baby with me?"
The scalding coffee burned his tongue as your question lingered in the air. Spencer cleared his throat awkwardly and patted his chest, his eyes drifting towards you. "Uh... what?"
"Hypothetically," you replied, the tap of your pen echoing against the round table between you. "It's like a pact. If we're both still single in the future, we get married to one another and, well, start a family together."
Spencer felt the clamminess of his palms as he set his mug down, trying to steady himself. He considered you as one of the closest people in his life, if not his best friend, and he was accustomed to your random questions, but this sudden topic of conversation seemed to strike a nerve.
"Where..." he began, wiping his palm along his pants. "...where is this coming from?"
You shrugged casually, the tapping of your pen momentarily ceasing. "Just a thought. I mean, we're both at that age where these things start to cross our minds, right?"
Spencer swallowed, trying to push down the unease rising in his chest. "Yeah, I guess so," he muttered, but as he studied you, he noticed the tension in your shoulders. "Are you okay?"
Your gaze flickered away for a moment before you sighed, slumping against your chair.
"I have a wedding coming up this weekend." Spencer frowned, not understanding what you were trying to say. You continued, "And another one next week, and guess what? Two of my cousins are getting married next month."
"What does that have to do with...?" His voice trailed off as realization dawned on him. "Ah, I see."
But you weren't finished. Somehow, the thoughts that had lingered in your mind for the past few days spilled out right then and there, in the middle of broad daylight when you were supposed to be focusing on the case you were working on.
"And a close friend I went to high school with just gave birth while another friend from college announced she's two months pregnant. And look at me," you exclaimed, your arms flying around. "No wedding. No pregnancy. Spencer, I don't even have a boyfriend, heck, I forgot what it's like to go out on a date!"
He watched as your brow furrowed into a frown, and although your demeanor was all over the place, he couldn't help but notice how you still managed to look pretty.
"Spence?" You asked, nudging his leg with your foot under the table. "Are you listening to me?"
He blinked, momentarily pulled from his thoughts by your voice. "Sorry," he replied. "I'm listening."
You gave him a skeptical look, but the tension in your shoulders seemed to ease slightly as you leaned back in your chair.
"I just... I don't know, I feel like I'm left behind." You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "I mean, I'm happy for my friends and all, but sometimes it feels like everyone's moving forward but me. Like I'm stuck in this... this rut."
Spencer wasn't sure how to respond. On one hand, he knew how it felt to want something that seemed out of reach, but on the other hand, he felt like it wasn't his place to offer advice when he wasn't even sure what the future held for him.
"I get it," he finally said, trying to gather his thoughts. The least he could do was try to offer some comfort. "But just because you haven't reached those milestones yet doesn't mean you won't get there eventually."
"But what if it doesn't happen? What if I'm still all alone and nobody loves me when I'm gray and old?"
He frowned at you. "I'd still love you when you're gray and old."
"Platonically. You love me as much as you love JJ. Or Emily. Or Penny, or even Morgan." You leaned over the table. "I want to be loved passionately by someone who is head over heels for me, who can't imagine a life without me. I want to feel that kind of happiness."
His frown deepened. "I don't think you should find happiness in another person."
"You're missing the point," you groaned, crossing your arms. "I'm not saying I want to depend on someone else for my happiness. But is it too much to ask for someone to share it with? To feel like I'm someone's everything and not just another friend in the group?"
His expression softened as he listened, a sense of familiarity washing over him. He remembered feeling the same thing once, or maybe more than once; he wasn't sure. He had lost count of the times he felt his life was falling short.
But he realized the more he thought about the why—why was he so different? why couldn't he find love?—the more he felt worthless, and he hated that. So what was the best thing he did to ignore those thoughts?
Bury himself in work, because to him, pushing those feelings aside was easier than confronting them. But now, as he looked at you, it felt like he was seeing his own reflection and your words hit him harder than he expected.
"No," he quietly agreed. "It's not too much to ask for."
"I guess what I'm trying to say is... I'm tired of waiting for life to happen to me." Your gaze slowly met his. "So I came up with a plan."
His throat felt dry as he recalled how this conversation started in the first place. "The... baby plan?"
You nodded enthusiastically, sliding into the seat next to him.
"Think about it. If we're both still single when we're..." You paused, furrowing your brow as you did a quick calculation. "Forty? Yeah, let's say we're both still single when we're forty, with no partners, or like, no friends with benefits?"
You shook your head.
“Just... with no one in our lives—we get married. You and me."
He blinked, trying to process your proposal. It was unexpected, to say the least, but there was a strange logic to it that he couldn't quite shake. The idea of marrying his best friend as a backup plan was both absurd and oddly comforting.
"But what about... love?" he asked cautiously. "Wasn't that what you wanted?"
You paused, considering his question before responding. "I mean, I don't think it's impossible," you said, leaning back in your seat. "Haven't you ever heard of the saying, 'Marry your best friend'?"
His gaze lingered on you, his heart beating hard against his chest. "You're saying that we can fall in love?"
Your eyes met his, and a small smile tugged at the corners of your lips. "Who knows?" you replied softly. "Stranger things have happened."
Spencer shouldn't entertain the possibility. After all, who knew what could happen in the future? It seemed like an absurd thought, but as he stared at you, it was hard not to imagine a life with you as his wife.
He imagined you in a white dress, walking down the aisle towards him with a radiant smile on your face. He pictured you both in the house you had just bought, dancing joyfully around the empty rooms as you unpacked boxes together.
Then thoughts of you being pregnant with his child—or maybe even children—filled his mind, and he envisioned a future where your kids would run around in the backyard with a pet dog trailing behind.
And then he considered the prospect of growing old with you, watching as your children eventually started families of their own while you found comfort in each other's company. All of these possibilities didn't seem so bad, because if anyone could understand him on a deep level, it was definitely you.
Maybe this crazy plan of yours wasn't so crazy after all.
"I... I guess it's not impossible," he finally admitted. Then, not wanting to seem too eager, he added, "Hypothetically speaking."
"Of course," you replied with a smile. "Hypothetically speaking."
Suddenly feeling flustered by your gaze, Spencer looked away and focused on his coffee, bringing the mug to his lips. Then you heard laughter and footsteps drawing closer, and soon Derek and Emily entered the room. Their eyes immediately landed on the two of you, sitting closely together at the table.
"What are you children whispering about?" Derek's voice interrupted, his eyebrows raised curiously as he glanced between you.
You didn't miss a beat. “Spencer and I are having a baby together."
Spencer choked on his coffee, his eyes widening in shock as he coughed and sputtered. You quickly moved to pat his back.
"Well, we're gonna get married first, right, Spence?" you added with a grin, glancing at him expectantly.
Spencer finally managed to regain his composure, clearing his throat awkwardly as he shot you a sideways glance. "Um, yeah, of course," he stammered, his cheeks still tinged with embarrassment. "Hypothetically."
Derek and Emily exchanged bemused glances, a silent conversation passing between them. Emily's curiosity seemed to win out as she lifted a hand, turning her attention back to you. "Care to explain?"
"We were discussing our backup plan."
"Backup plan?" Derek echoed.
"Yeah," you replied with a nod. "In case neither of us finds the right person by the time we're, oh, I don't know, forty or so, we figured we'd marry each other and start a family."
Derek placed a hand over his chest, feigning hurt. "And you chose Pretty Boy over me?"
"I'm not going to compete with all your lady friends," you shot back, rising from your seat. "Come on, Spence, let's grab some lunch and brainstorm baby names."
He stood up, giving you a pointed look.
"Or do you want to discuss how we'd make those babies in the future?"
"Well, I was thinking of Amelia if it's a girl..."
You grinned, linking your arm through his before guiding him towards the door. Derek and Emily observed the natural closeness between you two, how you were practically clinging to him and how he seemed to be comfortable with it.
Derek turned to Emily as you disappeared down the hallway. "Do you think they'd actually get married when they hit forty?"
Emily shook her head. "Nope," she replied confidently. "I give it a year until he's already down on one knee."
He laughed, nodding in agreement. With the way Spencer's gaze lingered on you with unmistakable affection, it seemed like it was only a matter of time.

Lucky - A Pedrotober Drabble
Day 8 of Pedrotober: Corona Pedrotober hosted by @norththelemon and @alyssamariag. View the full prompt list HERE and view my entire Pedrotober drabble catalog HERE.
Pairing: Frankie Morales x f!reader
Rating: THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN LOVE. The briefest of mentions of unwanted advances in a bar setting.
Word Count: 2268
a/n: This is for @alyssamariag and she knows it. I legitimately blacked out writing this one and somehow it's now here.
"You'll find someone eventually, sweetie," your mom reminds you for what feels like the millionth time. "You just have to put yourself out there."
It's exhausting, really, these weekly phone calls where you're reminded time and time again that your brother is getting married. Five years younger and he was beating you to the alter the same way every one of your friends has. But he was lucky. He met his future wife in college when they sat next to one another in class. An organic meet cute that spawned into a flourishing relationship.
Meanwhile, your college boyfriend cheated on you the first chance he got.
"I have to go, Mom," you cut her off as Frankie walks through the front door. He gives you a knowing look when he realizes you're on the phone, moving through your house like he lives there. And these days, he basically does.
As the only single members of your friend group, you spend your time together while the others spend theirs with their partners. It was, at times, perhaps a little concerning how co-dependent the two of you were becoming, but seeing Frankie each evening was much better than the alternative of being alone.
And it wasn't like the two of you hadn't tried to find partners. You'd just never been in the right place at the right time. Frankie was fresh out of a long-term relationship when you met him, and starting a flight school had kept him far too busy for far too long. For you, moving across the country hadn't helped much. You'd had to start fresh. New city, new job, new home, new friends, all built from the ground up. Where the move had done little for your love life, it had brought you a sense of accomplishment, a wealth of new experiences, and, most importantly, your boys.
Which, you suppose, was a bit of good fortune. The way you just happened to walk into the same bar on the same night that they were already seated around a table celebrating Benny's latest win. The way your coworker ditched you early on, leaving you alone at the bar nursing a once-cold bottle of Corona. The way all four of them had jumped to your defense when a man tried to slip his arm around your waist.
But even they had found people to share their lives with while you and Frankie sat on the sidelines, doing your due diligence by downloading dating apps. You even dragged him along to a speed dating event that Santi had signed you up for, but the world wasn't what it once was. You couldn't just attend a cooking class and expect to meet your soulmate while roasting a turkey. And if you did manage to secure your significant other one side dish at a time, it was still because of luck.
"Your Mom again?" Frankie asks when you step into your kitchen, already feeling the urge to rant boiling in your veins.
You nod. "She's on me again. Reminding me that my biological clock is ticking and that I have to get serious about this before she's too old to play with her grandchildren."
Frankie scoffs, "You don't want kids though."
"That's what I keep telling her, but I don't know that it'll ever stick in your brain," you bite out as you help him unbag the Chinese food he's brought you for dinner. "But," you continue, conceding a bit, "she is also kind of right."
He pauses, staring at you with wide eyes until the heat permeating through the thin cardboard of the box of rice he's holding threatens to burn his fingers. He sets it on the counter with a wince and turns to you. "Don't tell me you're letting her get in your head."
You shrug, avoiding his gaze as you grab plates. "I don't know." You exhale heavily as you set the dishes down next to him, turning to lean back against the counter. "I just wish I could skip this whole dating thing and get to the happy ending part. It's just unfair, you know? How we're supposed to put ourselves out there on these apps when all anyone is looking for there is a good fuck. And if you don't rely on the apps, you're not trying hard enough. And if none of that worked, it's entirely up to fate to put you in the right place at the right time."
There's a beat of silence before he responds, his voice dripping with understanding. "I know what you mean." Of course, he does. Of anyone, he's the only one that does.
"It's like playing the lottery and losing every time," you sigh again, scooping rice onto one of the dishes. "Maybe I should just have Benny set me up on that blind date he keeps talking about or something."
"Are you sure you want to do that?"
You hand him his own plate of food. "It's better than not trying, isn't it?"
Frankie says nothing.
If you were serious about the blind date, I have someone I could set you up with. Better than Benny's guy.
His text feels like it comes out of nowhere. You're on your way home from work when you see it pop up on your car's notification system, and you swear you feel your stomach drop a little at the suggestion. You'd mostly been kidding when you said it, overwhelmed by the lecture you'd just been given by your mother, and there's something about Frankie making the offer that doesn't sit right with you. Sitll, you're curious.
Who is it? You text back once you've put the car in park, grabbing your phone as you head inside.
He replies instantly, doesn't that defeat the point of a blind date??
You roll your eyes and call him instead and he picks up on the second ring. "It does not defeat the purpose," you explain, "I just want to know what I'm getting into before I say yes."
Your best friend chuckles on the other end of the line. "It's just someone I work with. Nice guy, recently out of a relationship, tall," Frankie explains, well aware of your type.
"Is he a scruffy-looking nerfherder, too?" you ask, quoting The Empire Strikes Back. You'd once told him that that was your type. Harrison Ford saving Carrie Fisher from an icy planet.
"Maybe."
You ponder your options for a moment. You'd never actually texted Benny about the idea, but having it come out of left field on Frankie's part feels a little like a sign. Maybe this is the stroke of luck you need. A random introduction that would lead to a fairytale romance.
"I'll do it," you tell him, "on one condition. I get to set you up with someone, too."
Frankie's quiet, and you wish you could see his face right now because you can picture the panic you know is written on it. But you aren't about to find your true love and leave him in the dust. "Who is it?" he asks, imitating your earlier questioning.
"A friend from work," you reply sarcastically, even if it isn't a lie. "You'll like her. She's smart, a little quiet, and brunette."
"I really think you'll like her," you explain to Frankie as the two of you walk through the grocery store, a weekly trip you take together. "She works in finance, she actually knows something about how to fix a car, and she loves to travel." He nods along, pushing the cart as you grab things from both of your lists. "But what about my prince charming?" you inquire, setting a box of Cap'n Crunch in the basket. For all you've told him about his date, he's told you very little.
"He...." Frankie pauses for a second, "...he's..."
You tilt your head. "You're really selling him here, Morales."
He shrugs, "What am I supposed to say? He's the most attractive man I've ever met? You'll definitely be satisfied by him? I'm sure he has a big..."
A mother passing by with her daughter in the cart coughs before he can finish the sentence and you struggle to hold in a laugh as he apologizes. The two of you move further down the aisle, "Okay, maybe not that, but what's he like as a person? What does he do for fun?"
Frankie sucks in a breath. "He likes a lot of the same things I do, I guess. He's...nurturing?"
Your eyebrows raise as you lead him down another aisle. "Nurturing?"
"Yeah," he grunts softly. "Nurturing. Like, he's loyal. Cares about the people in his life. The kind of person that will take care of you when you're sick or watch that dumb Tom Hanks movie you love so much."
"You've Got Mail," you supply, causing him to roll his eyes before continuing, but it's obvious that he chooses his next words carefully.
"He's the kind of person who will be there for you even when it's two in the morning and you're up because it's storming. I guess he can be a little stubborn, but it's usually just because he cares too much." He pauses, and you open your mouth to respond, but then he keeps going and you can do nothing but listen, transfixed. "Loves movies and has his pilot's license like me. Quiet sometimes, but he can be a little mischievous, too. It's all in good fun, though. It just means he loves you."
You've stopped next to the pasta and are staring at him, eyes wide. "Is that all?"
He nods. "That good enough for you?"
"Yeah, that's good."
Your date comes faster than you anticipated. Frankie has you set up at a local bar to meet with his coworker, although per your agreement, you didn't even know his name. He'd be sitting, Frankie explained, at a table near the back and would be drinking a Corona. When you insisted that you needed more information, he asked if you'd prefer a rose in a book, but you'd simply hit his arm and grudgingly agreed to his plan.
His date, meanwhile, was set for the following evening. Your coworker hadn't stopped talking about it all week, excited about the prospect of meeting someone new. For someone who was usually quiet, she was obnoxiously loud when it came to Frankie, and you couldn't help but wince every time she brought him up. It wasn't that you were jealous, because you weren't. You and Frankie were never meant to be more than friends, and that was lucky enough.
So why didn't it feel that way?
As you check your makeup in the rearview mirror, you debate driving back home. It would be easy to leave. Easy to call Frankie on the way and tell him you didn't feel a spark and ask if he'd pick up a pizza and come over for a movie night. Cancel the whole thing and go back to your simple single life.
Your phone lights up on the passenger seat with a text from Frankie, as if he's heard your thoughts somehow. Have fun tonight.
Well, now you have to go inside. And maybe this wouldn't work out. Maybe Frankie was wrong and this guy wasn't for you, but you have to go for him. Because your best friend put in the time and effort to set you up with someone he genuinely thought you would like. And you trust his judgement wholeheartedly.
With one last breath, you step from your car, finding your confidence in your heels as you make your way toward the same bar you'd met the boys at all those years ago. It's crowded inside, more so than usual, and you have to apologize a few times as you weave your way through the mass of people. You can feel your heart pounding in your chest and your stomach feels like throwing up might be a preferable activity right now, but you press on until you can see someone sitting at a table near the back.
You try to make out his features through the dim light, but he's turned away from you. You know it's him though because the light above his table illuminates the Corona he's holding with one hand. When the song changes on the radio, Harry Nilsson's Somewhere Over the Rainbow playing through the speakers, you realize you've been standing there for too long.
That, actually, you don't want to go through with this.
What you want is to go home. You want to call Frankie. You want to curl up in his arms. You want...
"Frankie," you breathe out because he's there in front of you as he turns. Like you've summoned him.
He leaves the Corona on the table as he stands and takes a step toward you. He says nothing as he invades your space. You feel like crying, and maybe you are because he tells you not to, wiping the tears from your cheeks with his thumb.
"I wanted it to be you," you say softly, quoting Meg Ryan because, you realize, this is what it feels like to be lucky. "How did you..."
Frankie smiles. "You didn't think I'd actually let you end up with someone else, did you?"
"No," you tell him tearfully, "you're too stubborn for that." It's easy to melt into his embrace as he draws you closer. "And mischievous," you add, repeating what he told you at the grocery store, "but I guess that just means he loves me."
He nods, his lips a breath from yours. "He does."

Even though I read plenty of fics and have been doing so since I first started in 2021, this is the first time I actually noted down the names of the fics as I read them this month. I’m so thankful to our fandom’s wonderful writers for sharing these with us and it is because I read so many that I wanted to start noting them down so I can remember them. I was debating posting the list but fics have always been a source of comfort for me and if you feel the same, maybe these can bring you some comfort too.
🎃 The Serpent and the Lion by louiseparker @louiseparker [212k]
Seventh year Hogwarts AU in which Harry Styles is an asshole Gryffindor jock with daddy issues, Louis is just trying to get through the year, and Liam, Zayn, and Niall rarely ever know what the hell is going on.
🎃 Tainted Saints And Velvet Vices by Toomanytears @toomanydreamers [126k]
A self-fulfilling Hogwarts AU in which Louis is new to seventh year and Harry is the resident devil-may-care Slytherin set to make his entire experience a living misery. Due to less than favourable circumstances they're forced to forge an unwilling, tentative relationship for their own survival. Repressed emotions, decidedly unromantic ballroom dancing, Triwizard Tournament tasks, creative jinxes and twilight flying above the Forbidden Forest ensue.
🎃 You Drive Me Round The Bend by TheCellarDoor [77k]
In which Louis is a spoilt rich kid who’s always on the phone while he drives and Harry is a struggling musician making his way down the mountain. It’s just a matter of time before they crash and burn.
🎃 but me, i'm not a gamble by orphan_account [33k]
A Posh & Becks AU in which Harry is a star on the stage and Louis is a star on the pitch, but they're both inexplicably terrible at articulating their feelings. In the end, it only takes a season's worth of failed matchmaking schemes, platonic dinner dates, road trip holidays, and one very convenient David Beckham cameo for them to figure it all out. And if Niall knew all along? Well, he at least has the decency not to be too smug about it.
🎃 The Lone Hydrangea by sarah_writes @lightwoodsmagic [77k]
The post Hogwarts AU where Harry's a florist, Louis' a muggle who edits fantasy books, and they both have no say in how quickly they fall for each other.
🎃 The Sunshine Stays by quickedween @becomeawendybird [15k]
It's three years after One Direction got back together, and Harry and Louis have just come off a world tour. They're enjoying a much more relaxed schedule the second time around, allowing themselves to bask in married life. Until, one day, Louis surprises Harry on vacation, and there are some surprising consequences.
🎃 House Of The Rising Sun by @itsmotivatingcara [100k]
Witch Harry/Vampire Louis. The Originals AU.
🎃 Something Like This by multicoloredme [150k]
After leaving his boyfriend, Louis is a little sore emotionally and is ready for a fresh start in a new city. When a coworker tells him about a couple friends looking for a new flatmate, he decides to go for it. Little does he know, that one of his new flatmates is the gorgeous, captivating guy he met at a party a few weeks ago. A New Girl/Grey’s Anatomy/Relief Next To Me inspired AU.
🎃 Say That You Can See Me (I'll Speak Up I Swear) by @coffeelouis [20k]
The liberal arts COLLEGE AU where Harry knows Louis as the best friend of the boy he has been hopelessly in love with for years now and Louis knows Harry as the boy he wished would look away from Zayn long enough to notice him.
🎃 Don't You Think It's Boring How People Talk? by wildestdreams @thelavendrhaze [80k]
A Gossip Girl AU where Louis is the king of the Upper East Side and Harry is the bad boy he loves to hate until a late-night limo ride changes everything.
🎃 Magical Soup by gloria_andrews @gloriaandrews [28k]
Slytherin prefect Louis Tomlinson's seventh year at Hogwarts takes an immediate turn for the worse when he's made to be potions partners with Harry Styles, Hufflepuff's resident heartthrob and class clown. Louis has always considered Styles to be a terrible show-off who coasts by on his charm and good looks, but the more they work together, the more he questions that idea. As term goes on, will Louis be able to admit to himself that he might actually like Harry Styles after all... and maybe, just maybe, as more than a friend?
🎃 King Of My Heart by wildestdreams @thelavendrhaze [80k]
A Red, White, and Royal Blue AU where Hollywood elite, Louis Tomlinson, finds himself falling for the closeted Prince of England.
🎃 And What If I Were You by @jacaranda-bloom [100k]
For Louis, will losing his sight give him the clarity to realise what is right in front of him?
For Harry, will losing the love of his life give him the strength to finally open his heart?
And can they find their way back, before they lose each other forever? A story of love. A story of loss. A story of fighting for each other, no matter the odds.
🎃 Tell me when you're ready (I'm waitin') by insufferablelovebirds [17k]
When Harry's love letters to his old crushes get sent accidentally, one recipient, Louis, offers to help him fake a relationship but it gets complicated when feelings get involved.
Or an au loosely based off to all the boys I've loved before.

No One But You
SUMMARY | One drunken night with Xiaojun gave you the most precious thing in the world, your son. Years later, Xiaojun returns from overseas and finally gets to reunite with you and his son. PAIRINGS| Xiaojun/Fem!Reader GENRE | non-idol au, daddy!Xiaojun, smut, unprotected sex, fingering, oral sex, slight angst, fluff RATING | Mature LENGTH | 6,813 words AUTHOR’S NOTE | Originally, this was supposed to be a fantasy with the whole isekai theme. But this idea had been swimming in my mind lately and so here you go. I hope this makes sense and that it flowed okay. I struggled a bit haha. Hope you all like it.
"Just give it some thought," Renjun, your best friend, muttered one day. You were both sitting in your favorite cafe, drinking your lattes and getting on each other's nerves with an annoying amount of frequency. It was a pretty standard Sunday afternoon to be honest - so you had just agreed to meet here.
Nothing special.
"And what do I get for this?" you asked, glancing up from your coffee. Renjun had been pestering you to join him at this new company your friends Mark and Johnny established. They promised it would be very profitable and the pay was good as well. And he was very persistent. Like never ending. He'd been talking about it nonstop since yesterday morning when you woke up.
You rolled your eyes and went back to sipping your coffee. "I mean it's not like I don't want to help them out, but they're not giving me any kind of perks."
"You get to see eye-candy all day long." Renjun snorted. "How is that not a perk? At least this way you can finally find someone who'll satisfy you better than-"
"Don't you dare say his name." You muttered under your breath.
"C'mon Y/N." Renjun patted your hand. "It's been years since you last dated Jungwoo. I’m sure he’s happily married and has kids. Besides, you have a son now, too. Does Xiaojun know?"
Xiaojun...
The father of your son.
You've known Xiaojun since your college days. He was a friend of Renjun, Mark and Johnny and he always tagged along whenever you hung out with them. Back then, he used to flirt shamelessly and his charm would always manage to make you laugh and blush simultaneously. You were in a serious relationship with your ex, Jungwoo, during that time, but that all changed however, when you ended your three year relationship with him. Your relationship just didn't work out. He cheated on you multiple times. You loved him with all your heart, though. But you couldn't be with someone who hurt you constantly. Your heartbreak left you feeling empty and lonely. Your entire world crumbled around you and you felt like nothing could ever go right again.
Your friends were there to help you through your tough times. To cheer you up, Renjun and the others dragged you out to the biggest Neo frat party of the semester, despite your constant protests. Of course, you had fun that night. It was a relief to forget about your troubles for a while. In a drunken stupor and clearly horny, you found Xiaojun dancing nearby. Without thinking twice, you walked over to him and grabbed his hands to sway to the music. And god, he was sexy in those leather pants and tight black shirt. It was hard to resist him and not give into temptation. After a few minutes, you decided to dance closer to him. And God, he smelled so good. Like fresh air, soft lips and spring flowers. That did it. Before you knew it, you were making out with him against the wall.
Things quickly escalated and before you knew it, the rest was history. It was just a one night thing between you two. And you never did date him. He left to study overseas a few weeks later and disappeared off your radar.
When you found out you were pregnant a month after that drunken night with Xiaojun, you were scared and confused. You never imagined that one drunken night with him could have changed your future so drastically. The urge to tell him that you were pregnant was overwhelming. You wanted to reach out to him, talk to him, tell him about the baby, apologize for what happened that night. But you also couldn't deny that your decision that night wasn't completely your own.
You'd been depressed and lonely since your breakup with Jungwoo and Xiaojun provided you with the comfort you needed. Was it wrong of you to use him that way? Or did you deserve something more? If you chose to keep the baby, who would take care of it? Where would you live? Who would be its father?
You had to tell someone and you eventually told Renjun, Mark and Johnny about your pregnancy, revealing that Xiaojun had to be the father since he was the last person you’ve slept with. Your friends reacted predictably: they offered their unconditional support and told you that you were strong enough to raise the child on your own. They were your best friends and they wanted to be the best uncles they could be to your son.
But even after that fateful night, you continued to think about what could have been if he had stayed. If you had found out you were pregnant if you were together.
You shook your head. "No, he still doesn't know about our son."
Renjun sighed. "You know he's back in town. He’s been asking me about you too. Its just a matter of time before Xiaojun talks to our friends and finds out he has a son. You should tell him before that happens."
"I know but I can't just tell him I got pregnant after one drunken night together. There are too many details involved."
Renjun ran his fingers through his hair. He sighed and leaned forward, placing his elbows on the table. "What are you going to do, Y/N?"
"That's the problem. I don't know what to do." You mumbled. "I don't want him to resent me or hate me. I want him to love my son and accept him. That's all I ask for."
"Then just tell him. I'm sure he won't mind if you told him the truth."
"But what if he does?" You replied, looking down at your cup. "Wouldn't that complicate things? Especially since we have a child together. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he blamed me for ruining his life or something. I wouldn't be able to look at him or be near him anymore."
Renjun shrugged. "Who says he will blame you? You guys are adults, after all. Plus, we’re not children anymore. Our lives are different. It's not the same as back then. I think you're just being paranoid."
"Am I?" You looked up, frowning. "Do you really believe I am?"
He shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Not really, no. I know you, Y/N. You're more forgiving than most people. But sometimes, people need to face the consequences of their actions. And even if they don't, there are plenty of other fish in the sea. It's not like your son needs a man around to protect him."
Renjun waved away your concern. "So don't let your feelings towards him ruin your happiness. You deserve to be happy, Y/N. So tell him about your son."
“I’m home!” You called out as you stepped into your apartment.
You heard the pitter patter of small feet and a small figure ran out of the bedroom before launching unto you. “Mommy! Mommy!”
You cooed as you picked your son up in your arms. He wrapped his arms tightly around your neck and buried his face into your chest. "Hi Dongjun, my beautiful angel. Did you miss me?"
"Of course!" He squealed excitedly. "I missed you, mommy."
“You’re so silly.” You giggled as you planted a kiss on top of his head. “You don’t need to miss me because you’re going to see me every day. Right?"
Dongjun giggled excitedly and nodded his head. "Right mommy!"
"Good." You hugged him tightly. "Because I missed you too."
The two of you walked slowly down the hallway. Dongjun held onto your hand and grinned widely as he talked about his random adventures with Uncle Jisung, your younger brother. When you asked where Uncle Jisung was, your son pointed at your brother's room stating that 'Uncle Jisung is studying'.
“Hey Mommy, wanna watch a movie with me?” Dongjun asked, tugging at your shirt sleeve.
“Okay honey, but first, can I change into comfy clothes?” You questioned, pointing towards your bedroom.
“Mm hmm.” Dongjun nodded enthusiastically as he plopped on the couch and proceeded to watch TV.
After changing into sweats and a loose t-shirt, you settled down next to your son. You placed your hand on his head and smiled as you stroked his hair gently. It was nice being able to spend quality time with your son. Dongjun was so happy when he was with you. He loved watching movies and playing games with you. You could already tell that he was smart, mature and creative. If only you could turn back time, things would be different.
You wondered how life would have been if you told Xiaojun about Dongjun. Or how it would be if you got together with him. But looking at your son, you knew that whatever happened, you made the right choice. No matter what choices you made in the past, your son will always be yours.
“Alright, time for bed. Let’s snuggle.” You told your son as you pulled him close to your body.
“Yes!” Dongjun grinned happily.
You leaned over to kiss him on the forehead and you smiled as you closed your eyes. At least one good thing came out of that drunken night, you thought.
"Mommy?" Dongjun suddenly asked as he poked you in the arm.
"Hmm?" You opened your eyes and glanced at your son. "What is it honey?"
"Did you love daddy when you first met him?"
“Hmmm…now that’s a tough question to ask me, squirt.” You pinched his cheek. “How should I answer it?”
“I think you loved Daddy.” Dongjun said confidently. “Because if you didn’t love Daddy, then I wouldn’t be here today. So you must have loved Daddy when you first met him.”
You smiled as tears welled up in your eyes. Dongjun was such a sweet boy.
"Sweetie, you are the most important person in my life. And no matter what happens, I will always love you." You hugged him tightly. "I am very lucky to have a child like you."
"Aw, Mommy. Thank you." Dongjun wiped away the tear from your eye. "Now let's go to sleep, okay?"
"Yes." You nodded. "Night-night, Sweetie."
Dongjun yawned as he curled up in your lap. You kissed his forehead again and whispered good night in his ear. Then you watched as he drifted off to sleep.
You didn't expect that your life would turn out like this. You had always dreamt of finding true love and getting married someday. But fate decided otherwise. Now you were living alone, raising your son singlehandedly. A part of you wished that things could have been different. Maybe your son would grow up knowing his father. Maybe you could've dated Xiaojun or find another man to share your life with.
But all those questions went unanswered as you drifted off to sleep.
There was nothing you could do about it. The past is the past. And there was no point dwelling on it anymore. Your son was the only light in your life. Without him, you would have been lost in despair and misery. You may not have found love, but you learned to accept what fate gave you.
Everything else was secondary.
God damn, he's still handsome.
You couldn't help but bite your bottom lip as you watched Xiaojun put in his order with the waiter. Even after all these years, you still found him attractive. And he noticed you noticing him. His smile widened and he leaned towards you slightly. You held your breath as you smiled politely.
There was no denying that you felt some attraction to him back in your college days. If you weren’t dating Jungwoo back then, you would have jumped on the chance to get with Xiaojun.
But you never acted on those thoughts. There was no reason to start a relationship with him when Jungwoo was willing to be by your side. But that was before there were problems in the relationship. Before you broke up with Jungwoo. Before you found yourself alone.
Back then, everything was perfect. You were the happiest girl alive. Everything seemed so easy. You spent all your time doing fun stuff with your friends and boyfriend. As long as you were with them, you couldn't imagine a life without them.
It was an exciting time in your life. You were young, carefree and optimistic. Life seemed limitless. You had so much hope and dreams. What would you do now that all those hopes and dreams have faded away?
All that was left was regret and pain.
And now here you were, years later, sitting across from him as he gave you a sweet smile. That smile was one thing that always got to you. Especially after all this time. You tried to act natural, but the truth was you felt like you were caught in your own private show. And you weren't the only one noticing him. There were quite a few women gawking and flirting with him, although he seemed to not notice.
Xiaojun stared at you intently for a few moments before speaking. "So how are you doing, Y/N?"
"Eh, good, thanks." You shrugged. "How are you?"
"Glad to be back home." He said, smiling broadly. “I really missed Korean and Chinese food here."
You gave him a small smile. "It’s good to see that you were doing good overseas though."
"It was tough but it was worth all the experiences." Xiaojun grinned.
“I bet.” You nodded, trying not to look at his mouth. Jesus Christ, he still looked edible. You were tempted to lean forward and kiss him, but you managed to hold yourself back. "So Renjun mentioned that you've been asking about me. What's that all about, huh?"
Xiaojun blushed as he fidgeted in his seat. "Uh, well…" He paused. “I guess I just miss hanging out with you and the others."
"Life has gotten in the way, that's all." You sighed. "But I promise I'll try to spend more time with you now that you’re back home."
"Really?" Xiaojun raised an eyebrow. "Like, on a regular basis?"
"Maybe." You grinned sheepishly. "Or maybe not. Depends if you keep bugging me like Renjun always does. I wonder why I'm still friends with him..."
“Ha ha, you wouldn't trade him for the world.” Xiaojun replied with a laugh.
"True that.” You chuckled. “He’s my best friend after all.”
A small silence followed. Both of you simply stared at each other awkwardly. Finally, Xiaojun broke the silence. "Listen…I'm sorry about what happened in college. I never meant to hurt you. You're one of my closest friends and I don't want anything to ruin that."
"You never hurt me, Xiaojun." You shook your head, a faint smile on your lips. "I was heartbroken when Jungwoo dumped me and I needed a distraction from the pain. We were both drunk and horny at that frat party. I don't regret that one night with you. I don't blame you for it. None of it was your fault."
"You're a good person, Y/N." Xiaojun muttered quietly.
"Thanks." You replied sincerely. "Sometimes I feel guilty for using you to distract myself. And even after all this time, I can't bring myself to look at you without thinking about Jungwoo. It's a stupid reason, huh?"
"No, it's understandable." Xiaojun smiled gently. "People need distractions sometimes. Plus, that one night turned out to be pretty good for you. You enjoyed yourself, found comfort in someone's arms, and felt loved. It helped you get over your broken heart. Even if it was just for one night."
"Yeah. And thank you for that, by the way." You smiled softly. "For taking care of me that night. For listening to me cry about my ex."
"Don't mention it." Xiaojun said as he waved away the compliment. "You were hurting and I cared about you. You needed some comfort and I wanted to provide that for you."
"That makes me feel better." You laughed. You sucked in a deep breath. “Xiaojun, can I tell you something?”
"Of course." Xiaojun assured you.
You hesitated for a moment. It had been years since you talked to Xiaojun but you hoped that he would understand where you were coming from. After a few minutes, you decided to continue.
"It’s hard for me to say this but…” You took a deep breath. “Xiaojun, you’re a dad…”
“Wait, what?” Xiaojun gasped.
“We have a son,” You answered quickly. “His name is Dongjun.”
Xiaojun blinked several times. “Are you sure he’s mine?”
"You were the last person I had sex with before I found out I was pregnant." You nodded your head and pulled out your phone, scrolling through the pictures of Dongjun. “He looks exactly like you. Just look at the pictures.”
Xiaojun stared down at the photo of Dongjun on his phone. He took in the picture and blinked slowly. His expression softened as he looked back at you.
“Our son…” He murmured quietly. “Wow.”
“I know you might be mad or disappointed that I didn’t tell you but…” You paused. “I wasn’t ready to face you after I found out I was pregnant. I didn’t want you to feel obligated to come back to Korea and take care of me and the baby because we had that one night together.”
Xiaojun shook his head, a small smile on his face. "Y/N, don't worry about that. I know our relationship is complicated but there is no way I would ever resent you or the baby. In fact, I feel happy to hear that you're raising our son well."
“I’m glad you think that.” You smiled. “I never really talked about you. When Dongjun asks where you are, I just tell him that you had to work somewhere far away. How do you tell a four year old that his mom and dad aren’t even a couple? How do you tell him that his mom and dad were drunk and horny one night and that’s how he was conceived? Telling him that you worked far away was the best option.”
“Yeah, I guess that’s true.” Xiaojun sighed. “Can I meet him? Please, Y/N? I would love to meet my son.”
“Of course, I’d like you to meet him.” You agreed, nodding. “And knowing Dongjun, he already loves you very much.”
“I already love him too, you know?” Xiaojun gave a slight laugh. “I wish I had met him earlier. Things would have been different between us. I wouldn’t have gone overseas. I would have stayed and we could have explored if there was truly a connection between us.”
“Maybe things wouldn’t have changed that much.” You reminded him. “Even if you did stay, we were really never together. Not after that one night. All we did was sleep together. There was nothing more than sex going on. You flirted with me, sure. And I needed comfort from a broken heart. So there was nothing binding us together.“
“Yes, there was.” Xiaojun argued. “The first moment I met you, that first time you smiled so sweetly at me when Renjun introduced us, I knew I liked you right away. It’s like I could see you clearly for the first time. The way you walked, your attitude, your body language, everything was so perfect. But you were with Jungwoo at the time. I didn’t want to ruin your relationship with him, so I just tried to hang out with you whenever possible.”
He sighed, looking at you softly. “After you broke up with Jungwoo, I realized that I was in love with you. That one drunk night at the frat party made me realize how I felt about you. And I never stopped loving you since then.”
“But why didn’t you tell me?” You asked, suddenly feeling sad.
“I didn’t want you to rush anything. You were healing from a broken heart and I didn’t want to add more problems to your life. I just knew that you needed love and comfort even if it was for one night.” Xiaojun explained. “And I didn’t want to scare you off by telling you how I felt.”
“I understand.” You whispered sadly. “But you should have told me sooner. Maybe I felt the same way.”
“Well, I’m telling you now.” Xiaojun said, giving you a reassuring smile. “Did you ever felt anything for me? Like, was there any chance that you could have fallen in love with me?”
“Yeah.” You nodded. “If I wasn’t dating Jungwoo back then, I probably would have started to develop feelings for you too. Maybe even developed them into something more.”
“I’m glad you said that.” Xiaojun breathed out a sigh of relief.
“Xiaojun, now that you’re back for good…” You paused. “Do you think that we could give this another shot? Maybe see where things really go between us? If you just want to be friends or just in Dongjun’s life, then it’s fine with me. But I just thought…”
“I want that too.” Xiaojun cut you off. “I want to see where this goes. With you, and Dongjun. I can be the father that Dongjun deserves and I will make sure to devote myself fully to my son and to you.”
“Okay.” You agreed. You stood up and grabbed his hand. “Come. Let’s go see our son.”
It took you but minutes by car to reach your apartment. You reached your door and unlocked it, calling out, “Dongjun! I’m home!”
Dongjun ran out of his room with a huge smile on his face. As soon as he spotted you, he jumped into your arms and gave you a big hug.
“Mommy! Mommy! I missed you!” He exclaimed happily.
“I missed you too, baby. Where’s Uncle Jisung?” You questioned, wondering where your younger brother was.
“Uncle Jisung is watching TV.” Dongjun suddenly noticed Xiaojun by the door. “Mommy, who’s that?”
You and Xiaojun exchanged looks. He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped himself.
"Well… Let's introduce ourselves, shall we?" You offered nervously.
Dongjun looked between you and Xiaojun curiously, wondering what was going on.
“He looks exactly like me.” Xiaojun muttered. “I can’t believe we made such a beautiful child.”
“Dongjun, this is your daddy.” You introduced the two of them.
“Daddy!” Dongjun squealed excitedly, jumping off your lap and running towards Xiaojun. Xiaojun hesitated for a second, still unsure whether he should accept Dongjun’s warm embrace. But after a brief hesitation, he leaned down to hug Dongjun with a big smile.
“Hi Dongjun. I’m your dad.” Xiaojun said softly.
“Dad! Dad! DAD!” Dongjun exclaimed loudly, unable to contain his excitement. He wrapped his tiny arms around Xiaojun’s neck, hugging him tightly.
"Oohh." Xiaojun gasped, surprised by Dongjun’s reaction. His body went rigid and he clutched onto Dongjun even tighter.
"Is everything alright?" You wondered, noticing the tension in the air.
"Uh… Yeah, it's fine." Xiaojun laughed. "Just caught me off guard, that's all. He’s just so energetic."
You nodded, chuckling. “Don’t worry, Xiaojun. You’ll get used to it.”
“I love him already.” Xiaojun breathed out. “This is the happiest day of my life.”
You smiled widely. You couldn’t help but tear up at the sight of Xiaojun being so affectionate with Dongjun. This must have meant so much to him.
"We're both so happy that you're here, daddy!" Dongjun exclaimed, planting kisses on Xiaojun's cheeks.
"Thank you for welcoming me, Dongjun." Xiaojun replied gently.
Dongjun giggled and wrapped his arms around Xiaojun's neck once again. Xiaojun laughed at Dongjun's enthusiasm. You grinned and looked at each other, sharing a small laugh.
“This is going to work out really well.”
It had been a few months since Xiaojun had moved into your apartment. Your brother Jisung had moved out and said that he and his friend, Chenle, found an apartment to share. You knew that Jisung didn't want to get involved in the love fest between you and Xiaojun.
Yours and Xiaojun’s relationship slowly began to blossom and develop into something more. It started with a few sweet kisses here and there. Soon enough, they became an everyday occurrence. At first, you were nervous and embarrassed. You wanted to wait until Dongjun grew older before letting him catch you kissing his father. However, you soon realized that letting Xiaojun seduce you was the most exciting thing you had experienced in a long time. And not only that, but seeing Dongjun's excitement while witnessing these intimate moments between you and Xiaojun, well…
It was adorable.
At some point, you started falling for Xiaojun. Hard. Your heart raced every time you saw him and every kiss sent shivers through your entire body. Soon enough, the longing to be with him outweighed everything else in your life. You knew that Dongjun loved Xiaojun as well, which helped ease your worries.
One night, the three of you were watching a movie when Dongjun asked you and Xiaojun a question.
“Mommy, Daddy, can I ask you a question?”
You looked over at Dongjun and he was eagerly awaiting your answer.
“Sure, honey. What is it?” You asked.
“Where do babies come from?” He inquired.
You and Xiaojun looked at each other, smiling awkwardly. After a few seconds of silence, you decided to take control of the situation.
“Honey, babies are actually made when mommies and daddies love each other very much.” You told him.
“Ohhh…” Dongjun stared at you and Xiaojun intently. “Then does mommy and daddy love each other very much?”
Xiaojun turned to look at you with a wide grin on his face. “Why yes, my little prince. We do.”
Dongjun beamed at the sight of Xiaojun's prideful expression. Then he looked at you and smiled.
“Does that mean I can have a baby brother or sister?” He asked, nodding vigorously.
You and Xiaojun exchanged looks again, smiling at each other silently. Finally, you pulled Dongjun into a tight hug.
“Of course, honey. One day, I hope that you'll have lots of siblings.” You whispered softly.
“Mmm. I'd like that.” Dongjun murmured, snuggling closer to you. "I love you, mommy. I love you, daddy."
You squeezed him tightly. “I love you, sweetie. So much.”
Dongjun eventually fell asleep in your arms. You glanced over at Xiaojun who was sitting next to you on the couch, playing with Dongjun's hair idly.
“Xiaojun?” You called out softly.
“Hmm?” He responded, continuing to play with Dongjun's hair.
“I've always wanted to tell you this.” You admitted, reaching over to squeeze his hand. “I love you.”
His eyes widened at the sudden confession. A few seconds passed before he spoke.
“I love you too.” He whispered, leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss against your lips.
Your heart fluttered at the sensation of his warm lips on yours. You felt yourself become flush as you pressed against him.
The moment was broken when Dongjun yawned, causing you to let go of Xiaojun's hands. You watched as he gathered his sleeping son into his arms. The two of them quietly made their way upstairs, leaving you alone downstairs.
Your cheeks were flushed red and your mind was filled with images of Xiaojun making passionate love to you on the sofa. Even though it was completely innocent, you found yourself feeling extremely aroused. You wondered if Xiaojun was feeling the same way.
After tucking in Dongjun, Xiaojun returned to the living room. He sat down beside you and looked at you lovingly. “I love you, Y/N. I want no one but you.”
“Who would have imagine one drunken night would lead to us being together again.” You sighed.
“That night changed everything for us.” Xiaojun agreed. “Our lives haven't been the same ever since.”
“I know.” You sighed, leaning against Xiaojun's chest. “If it weren't for that night, I wouldn't have had Dongjun or met you again.”
Xiaojun nuzzled his nose against your forehead. “Neither of us could have predicted how fate would bring us back together. And I am so grateful that it did.”
Your hands caressed his cheek. “I don't regret a single second we spent apart. I think our time apart made us realize how much we needed each other. Without you, Dongjun would never have existed.”
Xiaojun cupped your face in his hands and leaned in to press a tender kiss against your lips.
“Let's enjoy every minute we have together, okay?” He suggested.
You melted into his touch. Every kiss, every touch felt so right. For the first time in your life, you truly felt like everything was coming together perfectly.
"Yes, Xiaojun." You agreed, nipping his bottom lip playfully. "Should we give our little one a sibling?“
He grinned. “Definitely.”
“Have fun and don’t come back pregnant!” Renjun called out, Johnny laughing next to him.
“Dongjun, be good for the uncles!” Xiaojun called out, Dongjun excitedly chasing Mark.
“Yay! Sleepover with Uncles Renjun, Mark and Johnny!!” Dongjun shouted happily, throwing his arms in the air.
Renjun grabbed hold of him, swinging him around in a circle. “Yeah! We’re gonna have so much fun!”
You and Xiaojun exchanged hugs with Dongjun before getting into the car and driving back home. Both you and Xiaojun thought it would be good idea to have the guys take your son for the weekend so that you both can spend some time together alone.
Xiaojun held your hand as he was driving. His thumb gently stroked your fingers, sending goosebumps across your skin. Your mind drifted to thoughts of what would happen later tonight.
The only time you had sex with Xiaojun was that one drunken night all those years ago. Since you’ve officially gotten together, you’ve slept in the same bed but you’ve never touched each other intimately. You didn’t want Dongjun to catch the two of you if you were being sexual in any way shape or form.
But tonight was different.
Tonight you planned to surrender yourself to Xiaojun completely. This time you wanted to remember everything that happened and now that you’re together, it would be easy for you to recall all of the feelings and sensations.
As soon as you walked into your apartment, Xiaojun pulled you close and kissed you passionately. You groaned at the taste of his mouth on yours. His strong arms enveloped your waist, holding you firmly against his body. You slid your hands up his muscular arms and ran them through his hair. You savored the sensation of his scalp under your fingertips. His dark locks glistened with drops of sweat as he released his lips from yours and looked deep into your eyes.
“Do you want me?” He asked breathlessly.
“Always.” You breathed, closing the gap between your lips once again.
Xiaojun growled deeply as he pulled you closer to him, deepening the kiss. He moaned as your tongue met his and instinctively he slipped his hand under your shirt. You gasped as he traced the edge of your bra, your nipples hardening instantly.
"I need you. Right now." He breathed heavily.
Your breathing matched his pace. You peeled off your shirt and unhooked your bra, allowing it to slide off your shoulders and drop to the floor. Xiaojun smiled widely as he looked down at your naked breasts.
"God, I forgot how great they looked." He remarked, licking his lips hungrily.
He reached down and took your hands, pulling you closer to him. You stood before him, waiting patiently for him to make the first move. Suddenly, his mouth was on your left breast, sucking strongly on the nipple. Your hands immediately clutched his head, encouraging him to continue. You couldn’t help but moan loudly.
"You know..." He murmured between licks and kisses. "I've always wanted a repeat of that night. To feel your naked skin against mine... to kiss your body... to feel you come for me."
"Me too..." You gasped. "At least this time we're sober."
He laughed as he brought his lips back to your right breast, sucking and nibbling lightly. Your hands continued to run through his hair. You closed your eyes as his warm breath tickled your skin. When his hand finally reached your shorts, you grabbed his hand only to help him pull your pants off. Xiaojun slid his fingers underneath your panties and into your wet folds. You trembled as he played with your clit.
"God, you're so fucking wet." He muttered, chuckling. "And so ready for me."
He pulled away momentarily, to pull his shirt off. He slipped his fingers inside of you as you undid his belt buckle and zipper. Soon enough, his cock was freed from his pants and you wrapped it with your hand. As soon as you started stroking him, his hips bucked upwards.
"Fuck!" He grunted, removing his fingers from you and sliding your underwear down your legs and throwing them to the side.
His eyes met yours as he bent his head down and captured your mouth in a kiss. You moaned as his tongue found its way inside your mouth. You were still stroking his length as he pushed you towards the sofa.
You sat down, running your hand over his muscular chest. You looked at him with lust filled eyes. "Xiaojun..."
"Yeah baby?" He asked, brushing your hair behind your ear.
"Can I... suck you off?" You requested, leaning forwards.
"Oh god." He breathed. "Are you sure?"
You nodded your head.
"Y/N..." He groaned as you wrapped your lips around the tip of his dick.
You hummed as you sucked, using your tongue to flick it quickly across the tip of his shaft. Xiaojun slowly stroked your hair as he watched you work his cock with your mouth. His own eyes were half-closed as he basked in the pleasure.
You took more of him into your mouth, moving your head up and down slowly. You could hear him moaning in pleasure as you moved your mouth faster and faster. He gripped the back of your head, keeping you firmly in place. You could feel his member throbbing as you took him deeper and deeper.
You began to increase your speed, taking more of him into your mouth at a rapid pace. Xiaojun grunted as he reached his limit, jerking his hips violently. You kept going until he was completely spent, spurting his hot cum onto your tongue.
You swallowed his seed greedily, wanting to taste every last drop of it. After cleaning his cock with your tongue, you withdrew your lips from his member and rested your head on his thigh. You turned your head to look at him, a small smile gracing your lips.
"Good job, baby." He praised, running his hands through your hair. "You're amazing. But I'm not done yet."
He kneeled in front of you, placing his hands on either side of your head and leaned in to kiss you passionately. Your tongues tangled in a heated embrace as you moaned into each other’s mouths. Xiaojun began to stroke your inner thighs, eliciting a loud gasp from you.
"Xiaojun...please...inside me..." You whimpered, unable to hide your desire.
"Not yet." He whispered huskily. "You've been so good for me already. I don't want to stop just yet."
Xiaojun knelt in front of you, kneeling on the floor. He pulled your legs apart, admiring the view. Your pussy was swollen and wet, calling out to him. He bent down and kissed your inner thigh softly, his breath tickling your skin. You shivered uncontrollably. Xiaojun raised his eyes to meet yours.
"Open your legs wider." He commanded, gently pushing your knees further apart.
"Mmm..." You moaned. "Yes, Xiaojun..."
You were lost in ecstasy as he placed soft kisses on your inner thighs, one by one. You could feel his fingers spreading your moist lips apart, exposing your swollen pink flesh to his gaze. He lowered his head to lick your slit delicately. You could feel your juices beginning to drip down your thighs. Xiaojun lifted his head to stare at your flushed cheeks, grinning widely.
"Your body is perfect." He remarked, tracing the outline of your lips with his index finger.
With one swift motion, he plunged his finger inside of you, making you cry out. He moved his hand slowly, circling your g-spot while also stimulating your clitoris with his thumb. The combination of pleasure overwhelmed you and soon you were clawing at the sofa cushion in an attempt to grab onto something.
"Xiaojun, please...oh my god!" You cried, unable to contain yourself.
"Do you want me to fuck you?" He asked softly, trailing his tongue along your inner thigh.
You nodded vigorously, unable to find words.
"Say it, baby." He urged.
"Please... fuck me." You begged, panting heavily.
Xiaojun got up off the ground and looked at you. You had the cutest blush on your face as you gazed up at him. He cupped your cheek, smiling brightly at you. "Come here."
He walked towards the bedroom, dragging you behind him. Once he got there, he sat on the bed, grabbing your hand and pulling you on top of him.
"Y/N, I love you." He said, brushing your hair out of your eyes. "No matter what happens, no matter where we go, no matter what our life has become... I will always love you. Please believe that."
He looked deep into your eyes, watching as tears began to stream down your face. "I love you too." You choked, tears falling freely.
His eyes softened and he wiped your tears away with his thumbs. "Let's get married. Let's give Dongjun brothers and sisters to play with."
You closed the gap between you and planted a tender kiss on his lips. You felt his erection growing beneath you and slowly maneuvered yourself to sit atop him. His fingers wrapped around your waist as you settled yourself comfortably on top of him. Xiaojun caressed your face with his hands.
"I can't wait to make you my wife." He whispered, looking into your eyes.
He slid one of his hands down to grip your ass, lifting you slightly. You sighed as he pressed himself against you. The tip of his cock nudged against your opening, getting you excited once again. Xiaojun groaned, pressing forward slightly. You threw your head back and forth as you felt his member slip inside of you. Xiaojun leaned down and pulled your lower lip into his mouth, sucking gently on it. You moaned as you felt the fullness inside of you.
"God... Xiaojun, that feels so good." You panted.
He lowered you down and continued to thrust upwards, hitting that sweet spot every single time. His hands held tightly onto your butt as he pulled you harder and harder onto him. Your cries of pleasure echoed throughout the room.
"Oh shit... Y/N... baby, I'm gonna-" He started, but you cut him off with a kiss.
"Xiaojun...not yet..." You mumbled against his lips. "I don't want it to end just yet."
Xiaojun chuckled softly and kissed you deeply. You ran your hands through his hair as you pressed against him. He continued to thrust rhythmically into you, his balls slapping against your ass. You could feel your orgasm approaching rapidly and you moaned loudly.
"Cum for me, baby." Xiaojun ordered.
You dug your nails into his back as he picked up his pace. Xiaojun knew exactly when to slow down or intensify his movements. Every time he touched you in the most intimate of places, it sent chills all throughout your body. Your hands clenched the sheets beneath you, nails scratching against the material. You bit your lip hard as Xiaojun fucked you harder than ever before.
"Baby, I'm gonna..." Xiaojun warned. "Fucking... shoot my load inside of you."
"Fuck, Xiaojun...please!" You cried, grasping at his back. "Cum in me!"
"Ahhh fuck... Y/N!" Xiaojun cried out, losing control. He pulled your hips back to meet his strokes, burying his entire shaft inside of you. You screamed out in pure ecstasy as he filled you with his cum. His cock pulsated inside of you as he came, coating your insides with his warm fluids. Xiaojun fell limply onto the bed beside you, both of you panting heavily. You rolled over to face him, gasping for air. He grinned at you as you traced your fingertips along his jawline.
"That was incredible." You declared, giving him a passionate kiss.
Xiaojun pulled you closer to him and wrapped his arms around your body. You snuggled close to him as you let out a content sigh.
"So what do you say?" Xiaojun whispered into your ear. "Would you like to be my wife?"
"Yes." You whispered back, giggling. "Of course. I want no one but you and Dongjun. Only us. Always."

Russia: The uncle that apparently is a war vet. Definitely saw things he shouldn't have seen and you don't leave your kids with him. Tells the wildest stories over dinner though.
Canada: The cousin who you forget exists because he's actually normal. Actuality has probably spiked something.

Taiwan: The aunt that starts making smoothies unprompted.
Monaco: The cousin who brings a book to read in the corenr.

Cyprus: The college dropout who now works at a seven-eleven.
Egypt: The cousin who's studying history and is pretty average except you have photographic evidence that he sat next to a pond and talked to ducks for half an hour and was very serious about it.

Farm au!!! Tony and Stephen are married and have been for years (like old bickering couple but still kiss like teenagers). A few years ago they hired Peter to work the farm, but now he is pretty much their adopted son😌😌
Steve and Bucky also work for them. One or both get their eyes on Peter mayhaps?👀👀 - @professional-benaddict 💗💗
Hi Rafni!! @professional-benaddict Hope you like this!
**************************************************************
" Aw come on guys! I just got back! Give me a day or two to adjust!"
Peter covers his eyes as he moves to go get the basket on the kitchen counter that is used to hold the fresh eggs.
Tony laughs and tosses a pillow over at Peter. He sits up from his spot on the couch where Stephen and him were making out heavily. They had gotten used to Peter not being around, though this still happened when he was before, but they 'tried' to make sure they were fairly descent.
"Tough luck Kid! Now get out of the house! While your out stop and introduce yourself to Steve and Bucky."
Peter shakes his head and laughs, picking up the tossed pillow and throwing it back lightly, hitting Stephen.
"Hey!"
"See you guys later! Gonna feed the chickens and get the eggs and check in on Karen!"
Stephen grumbles to Tony as he pulls him back closer.
" Can't believe you let him name that horse Karen."
Peter wondered away from the main house before heading toward the large chicken coup. The coup was situated next to the smaller house on the property. When Stephen and Tony bought the farm, it was a bit of a retirement project for them both.
They had a handful of horses, cows, some goats, and chickens. They had acres full of corn, soybeans, green beans and their own personal garden that everyone tends to. That one connected the two homes on the property, it had a small pumpkin patch, rows of tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, radishes and turnips.
It was a bit much in the beginning, growing such a variety, but with their access to all the land they were able to divide it up in way to make it work for themselves. And as profits grew, they were able to hire in more help.
Ben Parker worked at the farm before Tony and Stephen bought it. He stayed working with the farm up until two years ago, his last trip into the city he had gotten into a wreck and passed away. They didn't expect Peter Parker to show up a month after, asking if he could work for them. They refused at first, knowing that the kid was in college, and they hadn't wanted him to give up on his dream to work at the farm.
But they both knew that May and Ben were on hard time, even with what they paid Ben. Between them taking in their nephew to raise, May's medical bills even with the insurance they offered. Money would be tight. But Tony was able to convince Peter to work during the summer months, winter break or whenever he was home. That way he could stay in school.
Peter was humming as he started gathering the eggs up out of the coup. The rest of the chickens were out of the coup eating at the feed he had just scattered out into their pen. Once he had checked all the trays for eggs, he covered the eggs he had in the basket up with a cloth.
He went to sit down to watch the hens and roosters run around, the head Rooster who he like to call 'Dodger' because of how much he runs away and dodges getting caught, got in his lap when he heard a voice call out, he looked up toward the smaller house on the property, it served as a guest house and as a place for workers to take a break.
"Hey Kid, What are you doing?"
Smiling, Peter gave an awkward wave.
"Hi! Mr. Stark said he hired new people to help. I'm Peter! Peter Parker"
The guy wiped a thing of sweat off his face with the towel he had around his neck before he nods towards Peter.
"Call me Bucky"
"Nice to meet ya Bucky"
Bucky offers him a small smile, and nods again.
"If your staying later, why don't you join Steve and I for dinner. Since your going to be around for a bit."
"Oh! Yes I mean sure. That sounds great"
"See you then Doll"
It was about an hour later when Peter was heading back with Karen to bring her back to the barn for the evening when he saw someone sitting outside with a couple of the horses.
"Hey! You must be Steve! I'm Peter."
Steve looked up startled out of his thoughts before he offered Peter a smile. Standing up and giving Peter a firm handshake.
"Nice to meet you Peter, Tony talks about you often"
Peter laughs and rubs the back of his neck.
"Yeah? Hopefully good things. I'm just bringing in Karen, do you want me to help with Jarvis and Friday?"
"I got them, time I should get them in anyway."
And that is how when Peter knocked on the door of the guest house, both Steve and Bucky were there, trying to open the door for him first.

Yandere Earthspark Tarantulas x human female (aromantic) reader pt.1
I haven't really seen any Tarantulas yandere stories, even on tumblr I really only saw one post and I thought why now and write my own story series.
___
Reader (which is you) is a conservative with a high intelligence in computers and a strong love for sifi anime even at thee age of 26, along with being aromantic. Which means no desire or having the emotion for romantic love, you disowned yourself from your parents after they tried to force you to marry not long after you turned graduated college with honors when you turned 20. Your parents wanted grandchildren and you don't like children and thought they where a waste of your anime money, they also didn't want to accept that you where aromantic. They where toxic people and you never really liked them even when you where a kid, the reason why the wanted you to marry was wasn't because they wanted to be grandparents but really they wanted a male heir for your father's company and more money in there accounts. Your refused to marry some business partners son despite his handsome looks and told your parents that they no longer had a daughter and left the town you grew up in.
You didn't need romance in your life as long as you get your close friends......and anime, along with having a very well paying job so you could afford more anime stuff and anime conventions that made your heart flutter.
Disowning yourself from you toxic parents was thee best thing in your life, your luck had changed for the better. Managing to find a very well paying job at a tech company and worked your way up with the management position with your side gig of building custom gaming computers and your client list was a decent amount.
_____
Being successful wasn't what you'd picture yourself in your late twenties, it had took you a bit in adjusting into your new life as a elite people. Despite your high pay you didn't really like normal things, though you did by a really nice and expensive condo with a view of the city and a really nice large balcony. You had your close friend circle that you choose as your own family so you didn't feel so lonely without company, now you want to know how Tarantulas came into your life?
Not long after your 26th birthday you decided to go hiking in enjoying the fresh air, you had accidentally stumbled upon him when you had lost your footing and fell down the trail and ended up at his hide out. You freaked out seeing him at first because well...hey he's a giant spider bot that would freak out a lot of people at first especially if you have a fear of spiders, since you had high intelligence you couldn't help but admire Tarantulas's make shift lab that he had.
It didn't take long for Tarantulas to warm up to you, he enjoyed your company. He liked that you where conservative and more so that you had a great knowledge of computers and that you where well educated. You consider a genuine friendship with Tarantulas the more you know had spent some time together whenever you had free time from work or your friend circle, however you didn't notice some red flags at first because you where aromantic. He seemed to enjoy your company a little too much after the two of you had formed your friendship just after three months, you wanted in introduce him to your friend circle since they where conservative as well but he refused and figured since he was still in hiding. When really he wanted you for himself
Being a scientist Tarantulas didn't understand thee emotion of love as much as he should since it didn't really apply to him and his nature, however the more time Tarantulas spent with you the more those new feelings grew. He wanted to know more about you and your life, to have a better understanding of you, he had been on earth long enough in understanding some of human customs but didn't really intact with humans until he met you.
"(Y/N) I'm curious you haven't once mentioned your family? Is there a reason?" You weren't the conformable with that question but since your friend circle already knew you thought it wouldn't hurt to tell Tarantulas since he was now your friend
" Well everyone in my friend circle knows guess you can too?" You continued speaking as you sat down on a large boulder since the two of you where outside in the woods, not that far from Tarantulas's hide out. You had planted your own privet secrete garden, as a type of other hobby.
"My parents are horrible/toxic people. Filled with there own greed, they never paid much attention to me when I was a child. But they kept up with thee appearance as good parents out in public, I was a very well behaved child with outstanding grades and a IQ that made me skip two grades. I had a strong lone with computers and got a college scholarship before I graduated High School." Before you continued Tarantulas questioned
"Did something happen to you?" You nod your head yes as you continued
"After I turned 20 and graduated college with honors by parents forced me to marry one of there business partner's son's, they didn't care about what I thought and assumed that I would go along with it."
"You didn't, did you? You left." You couldn't help but smile at his words and still spoke answering his question
"Yay, I did. I have no regrets. I disowned myself from my biological family the day they told me about the arranged marriage, I didn't want anyone controlling my life. It was hard at first but I build a fantastic life for myself, I haven't seen or spoken to my parents in five years. Don't know what there up too and I don't care. I didn't want to live in darkness, I wanted to be in my own light and now I have that."
Tarantulas couldn't believe of what he had heard, hearing of human crudity made him angry. How someone could just give away there child for there own selfish gain, he didn't think you had such a horrible life. He was happy that you had solved your own problem and what you had to do in order for your freedom. It also got him in asking another question that surprised even him
"What about your love life?" Even you where surprised by that question that made you look at him with a puzzled look on your face when you jumped off the bolder and stood in front of your garden, though you calmed down and didn't mind telling your option about the guys that had asked you out in the past
" Honestly I never had a love life I didn't need a man to be happy, all the guys that have asked me out where total losers." As you kept talking you didn't look at Tarantulas as you crouched down picking some of the weeds out of her garden
"Most where so full of themselves, especially that guy my parents tried to force me to marry. I could tell he only cared and loved himself. Just thinking about him makes my stomach turn." The next words you said, you really shouldn't have spoke as you picked a small waxflower bundle
"Then there's you by comparison Tarantulas, I've noticed you appreciate even the smallest flowers. Or just talking here, you actually listen. I feel like you know me in a way THEY never would." While talking you looked back at him still holding the smile with a calm and welcoming smile on your face
"And why I value our friendship."
At that moment Tarantulas realized that he was in love, he understood that you where a completely difference species. He didn't want to cross that line, especially to an organic. He was smart enough to know that nothing good would come to him in loving a human, though he didn't care. He had been alone for so long and to having like you in his life was a gift, in his darkness you where the light he didn't realize that he had been looking for and had no means in letting go.

i really do be out here generally being completely disillusioned with the USA
but then having fantasies of like.
a sort of banal and average stereotypically american-y scenario, but a bit exaggerated and idealized for effect.
area where it's real common for chunky himbo jocks fresh out of high school to just end up going straight into a blue collar job and getting fat and married with a bunch of kids.
local area's culture is decently progressive, but a little old fashioned about certain things. still has the "start your family young" and "lots of kids is good" vibe going, and "a man's meant to eat a lot" and "better for guests to have too much food, rather than not enough" mentalities.
guy who almost instantly has no more time/energy for sports or the gym, already a father by 19 or 20, already has somewhere from four to eight kids by 25.
Steadily but rather contentedly porking up right along with his wife, coming home every day to increasingly bigger, greasier dinners, often preceded by a "snack" from a drive-thru on days where he gets impatient or she says she's a bit behind schedule.
Both of them are often tired, but in a satisfied, kinda proud sort of way, rather than overwhelmed. The job's unionized, decent pay, benefits, good boss, etc. The local community's pretty close knit, the guy still goes with his friends to the bar on the weekends, and his extended family's helpful and supportive.
Both him and his wife lowkey like and prefer the extra weight, but haven't really fully unpacked this. It almost feels good to have all the convenient excuses of being married, busy, and having settled down to just eat whatever comfort food you want and not lose any of it.
It becomes sort of a feeder thing in a lowkey kinda way where they don't really like, officially "know" that's what going on, or use that label, they just know they both like the other with more meat on their bones, and both like the bigger portions, and that the sex has only improved, even if they both get winded a lot quicker than they used to.
And despite him not really being ashamed of his choices, he like, has an unrealized thing for people being kinda mean to him for letting himself go, teasing him for having so many kids so fast, for not going to college, etc, etc.
Can't really explain it and is kind of clueless about it, but often weirdly loves it when he's referred to as "past his prime" or when people lump him in with the "peaked in high school" category of guy.
Has old sports trophies and pictures out on display, and often lowkey finds himself weirdly kinda *hoping* that when friends come by, they'll crack jokes or be a little mean or catty about it.
When there's cookouts, weddings, and potlucks, he's never shy about just straight up pigging out, often kind of *hoping* that people joke, comment, and stare when he does this, too.

The Strode Family;
Laurie and her three kids: Jamie, John, and Karen.
------------------------------------------------------------
The Hardest Part Is Over;
Summary: We've seen multiple timelines throughout the Halloween series, involving Laurie Strode. But what if there was one out there she got a real happy ending with Jamie, John, and Karen?
One where Michael’s rain of terror ended at the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital on November 1st, 1978.
Timeline notes:
Karen is four years older than John and was born in 1980.
She and John have the same shitty dad that Laurie left shortly after John was born.
A couple of years later she met Jimmy Lloyd again and the two became friends, and eventually got married. Having Jamie when John was nine.
------------------------------------------------------------
“Okay, so, you press ‘X’ to jump—” John gently led Jamie's hand to the X-button on the controller, not taking his eyes off of the screen as he explained the controls to her. “Good, that's good. Now, for a bigger jump—or a double jump, as some call it—you have to press the x-button twice.”
Jamie nodded to show that she was listening, allowing her older brother to lead her. Trying not to let the family dog, Sundae—a puppy that their neighbors the Carruthers had gifted her on her last birthday—, distract her (which was hard considering he kept trying to steal her baby doll so that he could chew on it).
Both unaware of the fact that their mom, a now forty year old Laurie Lloyd (née Strode) who was now the headmistress of John’s school—Hillcrest Academy—was watching them with a smile from the kitchen.
“What’re they playing?” Her husband and Jamie's father, Jimmy—fresh in the door from his shift at the hospital, asked pouring himself a cup of coffee.
“Some game John bought. I think it was called Scooby Doo and the… Cipher Place?” The blonde scrunched up her nose, scratching her brain for an answer.
Even then she wasn't quite sure that she had remembered the title right.
But that was alright, because just then Karen swooped in with her car keys and bookbag in hand. Running late for her psychology class at the local university. “It's Cyber Chase, not Cipher Place.”
Jimmy tilted his head to the side, a slightly amused smile making its way onto his face. “I thought John said he was ‘too old’ to like Scooby doo.”
Karen rolled her eyes. “He did, but he didn't get it for him. He got it for Jamie because she asked to play with him and he didn't want his other games to scare her. Gotta go, my alarm didn't go off and I lost track of the time.”
“Alright. Have a good evening, Kare-bear. Don't stay out too late.”
“No promises, mom.” The younger blonde called back, rushing out the door. Jimmy sighing as they watched her go. “They grow up so fast.”
Laurie groaned. “Don't remind me. I can't believe John is going to be joining Karen at college soon. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was helping Karen support his little head as she held him for the first time and now my little girl is going to be a child psychologist. And John is dating.”
“I don't think I'm gonna survive it when Jamie starts complaining that she's too old to be seen with us in public.” Jimmy was joking but his tone was a bit too serious for his wife's liking.
“Don't jinx it. I'm still holding out hope that she skips that particular phase.”
“2 out of 3—”
“Twice is a coincidence and three times is a pattern. There's still every chance she won't take after her siblings in that aspect.”
Just then, Jamie and John both cheered and high fived about something that happened in their game. Doing their little secret handshake as they celebrated.
“You were saying?”
Laurie just sighed.
Hopefully Jamie's ‘I hate my parents, they're embarrassing’ phase lasted shorter than Karen and John’s did and hopefully it was much, much, much shorter than Jimmy and Laurie's own phases (after that Halloween night neither of them liked to think of) did.

BSD characters meeting your parents
Dazai Osamu
-He is actually pretty nervous.
-He wore a suit and everything, if you minus the part that his suit is disheveled, you can tell he tried his best.
-Has a bouquet of flowers for everyone. Including your siblings and your parents. You two both thought it was hilarious.
-Gives out compliments of your parents and tries to communicate with your sibling/siblings if you have one.
-He also tries his hardest to not mention any suicidal stuff. You might hear him mentioning a tiny little joke like once an hour. He's trying hard. You have to give him credits for that.
-Eats whatever he gets. He doesn't have any dislikes when he eats food and that gets high points from your mom.
-One of your parents was a little shocked to hear that he didn't graduate College, but you told them that it was because he was offered a high paying job when he graduated high school. (An obvious lie. He entered high school for a month before graduating by answering every single test correctly within a matter of two weeks.)
-Gets multiple points from your (maybe non-existant) sibling/siblings by winning them over with gifts.
-In the end, everyone likes him. Your stricter parent accepts him too! That's a very good sign. Just don't let anyone eat his cooking!
Kunikida Doppo
-Oh you know damn well this guy will arrive an hour before the planned time just to make sure.
-Dressed more fancier. Wore the gifts that you got him, an expensive watch, with a very tidy suit.
-Brought a bouquet of roses as a bonus.
-That made your parents accept him immediately.
-Your parents find it very nice to see that he graduated from a very prestigious college early and scored a job the moment he graduated.
-Very formal and careful with everything he says.
-Your parents believe that he is a very responsible and dependable adult despite his young age.
-Has no problems eating anything. Even if it's not the best, he will eat without any complaints.
-Your (maybe non-existant) sibling/siblings think that he's pretty boring and a little too strict, but they can cooperate with him.
-It even got to the point where they wondered if you were good enough for him!
-A great cook, very responsible, no problems with gambling, depts, or drugs? He is everything they could ask for.
-Overall, a great view on your parents, and pretty good with your siblings.
Atsushi Nakajima
-He is the most nervous out of every character.
-He literally went to a straight up panic attack mode when he was asked if he could go with you to meet up with your parents.
-Very good with kids. Your (maybe non-existant) sibling/siblings thinks he is cute!
-Your parents think so too.
-If this was about marriage, they'd be concerned. He's 18. A very young age to get married in the traditional form of life. So he would be viewed more strictly.
-But he doesn't have any problems. They don't mind the fact that he grew up as an orphan. He has a job, a kind heart, and he respects every choice you make. I think they really like that!
-Despite not going to school, he has a great job. A well paying one at that! I think they don't have a problem unless they are a bit over protective. Then I think they would be concerned over the fact that he risks his life in battle, and you could be a target of others or heart broken over his death.
-Other than that, they are completely happy with who you ended up with. He's nice to everyone, he has the abilities and qualification to protect you from danger, and he doesn't have any problems with debts or drugs or his body. I think they will be glad that you have such a good boyfriend.
Edowaga Ranpo
-He's on time, he almost was a little late though. A little bad start, but that's not really bad.
-He is forgiven the moment he tells everyone that he did it so he could get them flowers fresh!
-His clothes are a little messy, but everyone in the room can tell he loves you so much.
-He doesn't really care about making a good impression. He just clings to you right away with an adorable smile.
-They are a little unimpressed, but after seeing you smile? They accept the fact that you two match well together.
-They practically interrogate him btw.
-"What's your job?" "What school did you graduate?" "Do you love my child?" etc etc.
-He answered pretty well. They are a bit dissapointed at first but they soon begin to like him. Ranpo seems to have this force that pulls everyone close to him.
-Him and your (maybe non-existent) sibling/siblings get along very well! They find him very entertaining to talk to!
-At first, not a good start. In the end though, total success.
Akutagawa Ryuunosuke
-My boy's stiff as a pole -_-
-He scared your parents at first with no intentions
-That is, until they saw how robotic he was. Then they just figured he was just a shy boy.
-He is SILENT
-He concerns your parents btw.
-You kinda lie to them that he's an author that didn't reveal his face for the sake of not being like-
-"Oh yeah! My dear Ryuunosuke here is a mafia member! You know? That infamous Port Mafia that kills dozens per day?" "*spits out drink* I'M SORRY COME AGAIN?!"
-He understood why btw.
-He really likes your parents. He can see where you got all your good attributes from.
-Ps, he said that out loud without thinking while trying to whisper but failing horribly.
-That made your parents day, and your (maybe non-existant) sibling/siblings laugh out loud like the Satan himself.
-If you have a sibling that's young, he would get along with them better than teens.
-Imagine though, your teen sibling just goes like, "Sooo. How's my sibling in sex?"
-He'd be so confused.
-He's genuinely liked. He seems very scary at first, but once you get to know him, no one can hate him. He seems to have this innocent side of him that everyone likes.
Nakahara Chuuya
-My guy really came with a 300,000 yen wine bottle and a bouquet.
-A random family member of yours that's really good with alcohol or at least heard of the shit was screaming.
-Luckily, he had reserved the restaurant. Don't ask, he just wanted to impress your family.
-He kinda got called out for being short and wearing platform shoes by your (maybe non-existant) sibling.
-They thought he was very nice, and a little cheesy.
-Liked how he called you with a pet name. Your (maybe non-existant) sibling/siblings were barfing at that.
-Enjoys watching you two be sweet to each other.
-His fake job was a model. They understood why. He’s HOT.
-A total gentleman, controls his cursing to the very minimum. It was easy due to Dazai not being near him. Lol.
-You two made up a lie that he went to a prestigious school after making an illegal certificate btw.
-The meeting was successful. Your (maybe non existent) sibling/siblings pointed out that he was short making him crack out a fake grin in the end.

Megan and Iseul college throwback:
Later that next day, Iseul comes over to Megan's dorm. Her eyes light up as soon as she sees Megan and she leans into kiss her but Megan stops her. "Is...I can't." Iseul's furrows her brows, touching Megan's cheek. "What happened?" She asks. "Amira came to see me, she wants to get back together." Megan says and Iseul's chest tightens. "Oh." She says softly. "I know its so sudden but its just woohoo with us right? We can always still be friends." Megan says. "Megs, it's fine. Go be with Amira." Iseul says, forcing a casual smile. "Wait, what?" Megan says. "I don't care Megs, I mean it was always just woohoo and we both knew that." She lies, and Megan's eyes flood with tears. "Wow, okay. So it meant nothing to you?" Megan says, her voice shaking. "I like you as a friend Megs, and I like woohooing with you, but nothing more.” Iseul says, forcing herself to lie again despite her earlier plans of telling Megan she’s in love with her. Megan believes the lie though, especially since she’s already conflicted about Amira and everything. “Okay, but can we still be friends, Issy?” She asks. “I don’t think your girlfriend would like that.” Iseul says lightly . “She told me she’s okay with it.” Megan says. “Just leave it alone, Megs, we should go our own ways and you can go and be with Amira.” Iseul says sharply, her eyes dark. “Fine, I will.” Megan snaps back, her voice shaking again.
Megan starts to cry and Iseul looks concerned, pulling her close. “Megs, it’s okay. Look we both knew it was just woohoo and you’d be back with Amira right?” Iseul says gently as Megan sniffles. “I want to stay friends, Megs, but I don’t know if Amira would be okay with it.” Iseul says, not adding that she doesn’t know if she could be friends with Megan and see Amira kiss and hold her, and have that look of love in her eyes as she looks at Megan, the same way Iseul realized too late she’s looking at Megan too. Megan nods, wiping her tears, and she and Iseul head out to the hallway. “Okay, I think maybe we should take a break and hopefully we can be friends after.” Megan says. “Yeah,” Iseul says, looking down as well and trying to hold back her own tears. She wants to tell Megan she loves her but now she can’t, even though it kills to her think that Megan’s in love with Amira and Amira will get to hold and kiss Megan now. “I’ll see you around Megs.” She says, smiling sadly and Megan nods, watching Iseul walk away and out of the dorm.
Megan heads back inside, closes the door, and leans back into it, feeling hollow and heartbroken. She sinks down to the floor and lets herself cry for a bit before getting up, wiping her tears and trying to pull herself together. She knows she should be happy. Now she can be with Amira, her high school sweetheart, but she can’t stop thinking of Iseul. For half a second, she thinks of rushing after Iseul and telling her she loves her. Then she stops, feeling a fresh wave of tears flood her face as she realizes Iseul doesn’t feel the same. She cries herself to sleep that night, and ignores Amira’s text to her phone asking how everything had gone.
So, this is the backstory of how Megan and Iseul ended things in both the alternate universe and the main one. In the main one, Megan married, had kids with, and later divorced Amira, met Tess Feldman-Lewis, married her and had their third kid Emily. She met Iseul again in her adult years, with the two of them being friends and both are having feelings pop up for each other again. In the alternate universe (cause I really wanted Megan and Iseul to be together), the storyline changed where before Megan made the mistake of marrying Amira, Iseul came to her and confessed her feelings and the two remained together and got married. They don’t have kids in this universe, but are very happy and might adopt a dog and cat. Honestly, I feel so bad for saying this cause I loved Tess and Megan but now I kinda want her to be with Iseul so I made the AU so it could happen. They’re just so cute together that I’m torn as heck. 🥴😅

ahhhh so gay long vent post
a bunch of people around my family have gotten or are getting married and they're all people my brother's age which like. sucks. a lot. i dont like being aware that im close to Marrying Age or whatever bc it's all that irls ever talk about now. and whenever i say i dont plan on it it's like "oh how could you be sure you cant hang out with your family forever" like . even my parents say this shit despite the fact that i've literally come out to them. you know im gay. ive explicitly said i won't get married bc i don't like men and can't marry a woman! it's not like i'd find someone anyways bc im not independent qnd i dont KNOW gay people irl. its so awesome having this constant reminder that something touted as essential since i was a little kid is something i will never have access to unless my parents DIE because they will never accept me fully. it's so awesome! and i'm surrounded by muslims who more likely than not have this same perception so unless i leave the community i've grown up in i probably wouldn't have the chance even if that happened!
and the thing is that i don't even WANT to get married. i can't even fathom dating someone, why the fuck would i get married? but the fact that i get to constantly be exposed to this is like well im glad everyone's getting to have their life experiences and grow as people and i still feel like i'm fresh out of college at 19 with no idea what i'm doing in my life. it's been three fucking years.
my dad said i might change my mind bc i started "liking girly things and wearing jewelry" God forbid i try to do something for myself without people making stupid assumptions about my future to follow it. everything is about my career and future life when i still feel stuck. i wish i would get that stupid Knock on the head or whatever that makes you start pushing through and get out of depression but it hasnt happened to me and all i got is getting bored and forgetting about stuff i should be doing. at least i got to brushing my teeth more often iguess.

hey! a babysitter reader in the girl next door au? suburban au? what are we calling this? she's young and sweet, fresh out of college, she babysit the neighbours kids when they were babies, and now she's back at it again since she's just waiting calls from job applications and going interviews. and the character just sees her with a baby on her arms and is like "oh i gotta give her one" i was thinking of lee but someone less asshole would be nice too. someone who can help her with the job situation? maybe andy? pete? cole? clark? clark? a clark who's father just died? and he wants to make her mama happy before she dies to? he wants her to see him happily married? and of course a nice friend to keep her company when he's working? (now i think of him in backwoods...) 🍀
I don't have a nick name yet for this AU. I do already have Clark and a babysitter so I would avoid that. Pete could make for a very sleazy experience hahaha. I definitely see it getting messy and sloppy regardless of who it is. Thanks for the idea!

Something Is No Longer Wrong With My Stepdaughter
Word count: 4981 words.
If you like my writing BUY ME A KO-FI!
I never planned to have kids of my own. The mere topic of getting pregnant was enough to turn any conversation awkward because most people don't understand why my face twists with disgust at the idea. The idea of giving birth didn't make me feel any less disgusted. And I'd suffered enough during my years spent hopping from foster home to foster home when I was a kid and having my birth certificate altered twice so they could pass me as younger in hopes of getting me adopted off before I finally grew out of the system, to know that 'adoption' is, in many cases, just a fancier word for 'child trafficking'. So that was also not an option.
But I love kids. It was the reason why I became a teacher and studied and continue to learn as much as I can to be the best role model I can be for them. Because all kids deserve to have someone to look up to, someone to turn to when they're excited, scared, angry. Someone who will be there for them. After all, kids are what we, the adults, make of them.
Louis was a godsend. I met him during a soccer game one of my students had begged me to go to, where Louis' eleven year old niece also happened to play, and it was the closest I've ever gotten to believing in love at first sight. He was handsome, hardworking —bordering on being a workaholic— and funny. The best part, the part that made me ignore his talk about leaving on work trips that could last weeks at a times, was that he didn't mind that I had gotten my tubes tied fresh out of college, because he already had a daughter and often joked about how she was more than enough for him. The fact he'd finished the sentence with: "Either way, I wouldn't mind. That's women's choice." earned him even more points in my book. We had a relatively short period as boyfriend and girlfriend —a year—, then spent eight months engaged, two of which were spent living together, before we finally got married.
He was just perfect. The kind of perfection that makes us broken people feel like there has to be something really, deeply wrong, because such perfection just cannot exist.
His only flaw was his daughter, Katie.
Katie was a grade A bitch. Not my words. I would have never called or even thought about calling or even thinking about a preadolescent kid as a grade A bitch. At first, to me, Katie was just a shy kid- some would say too shy for a 12 year old kid. But hey, some kids are just introverted and I saw no problem with that, nor did I see any problem with her behavior. Not right away, it took a while for Katie to show her true colors, long enough that when I received warnings from Karen, Louis' sister, I believed that she must have been exaggerating because describing your own niece as a 'grade A bitch' when your brother introduces his, at the time, girlfriend at Thanksgiving dinner isn't exactly normal. Also because she'd started the sentence with "I'm warning you now that you still have a chance to get out." as if a 12 year old girl's behavior could be enough to make me break up with Louis. Honestly, I thought Karen perhaps didn't like me and wanted to scare me out of dating her brother. I even joked with friends that, maybe, she was in love with her brother and didn't want competition, fully believing Katie was just a shy, introverted kid who hadn't yet opened up to the fact her dad was dating. Her name being Karen also played a role in me believing she was being overly dramatic.
But Karen was right and I was so, so wrong.
Katie was truly a grade A bitch. I tried my best to not let that description of her cloud my ability to create an opinion of my own, but there was just no better way to put it. Katie was selfish, rude, entitled and it seemed that the only thing that brought her joy was making others miserable. I should have known. The amount of times Louis had to leave work to go have meetings with the principal should have been the warning, but he never talked about the meetings and I just assumed Katie was being bullied, not that she was the bully. But her cruel behavior didn't just stay at school, she was banned from Karen's house, was never left alone with her cousin who, despite being only a year younger and both taller and heavier than her, was terrified enough of her to apparently be manipulated and terrorized into all sorts of trouble.
I somehow managed to remain oblivious of all that, until after the wedding.
Our carefully planned honeymoon was canceled because Katie faked appendicitis. I say 'faked' and not 'had an appendicitis scare like many girls going through puberty do' because she confessed to me that she'd been faking it, right after hearing me talk to the hotel we'd booked, begging them to understand our situation and be empathetic, only for them to tell me that, no, they couldn't refund us the price of the suite with a sea-view we'd paid for in advance, because the room had been kept empty and they hadn't been able to reach Louis within the 24 hours window to cancel and get a refund, curiously enough, Katie had been playing on his phone all day because hers was 'dead' and she 'needed a distraction from the pain'. It was the first time I saw her smile.
But I didn't complain, because Louis had promised that he could make that money back in no time, that he could refund me my half or we could make up for the missed honeymoon with a family vacation. Both to celebrate our union and to celebrate that, to him, Katie's appendicitis had been 'just a false alarm'.
Of course, I picked the family vacation. Even if it meant spending even more time with Katie than I had to at the hospital.
I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, willing to understand that having to share her father with a woman who wasn't her mother —another grade A bitch, I might add, and without shame because since I'd gotten engaged to Louis eight months ago, she had only spent time with her own daughter twice, and before that, only five times in two years— was something that took time to get used to and this must have been her way of crying out for attention. Until we made it to the vacation house.
It was a nice two stories tall house —Louis called it a cabin, but I wasn't going to call it a cabin because 'cabins in the woods' just don't look like that— in some heavily forested corner of Oregon. The kind of place with windows that cover a whole area of the wall from floor to ceiling on the second floor, and make you feel like you might get Friday the 13th-ed in there. We got there on a humid summer day, a Friday, intending to stay until two Mondays from that day.
The first day, Katie was just too exhausted from the road trip and having to unpack to start anything. Or so I thought.
The whole day had passed so easily, I ended up letting my guard down. We were sitting down for dinner later than usual, and I was putting down the plates with steak. Mine first, because my chair was the one closest to the kitchen door, then, I intended to walk behind Katie to get between her and Louis, and put both their plates down at the same time like in some fancy restaurant. I was planning to fake a french accent and everything, just to see if I could make them both laugh. But my plan was foiled by Katie planting both her hands against the edge of the table and pushing herself, chair and all, away from the table and into me.
Both glass plates crashed to the ground as I stumbled for balance, one hand gripping the back of her chair, accidentally catching her hair between my fingers and the wood, pulling enough that she shrieked.
It should have felt cathartic. But I apologized to her, profusely, right before I got down on my knees and started picking up the shards of glass and the steak. Louis joined me on the floor, smiling at me before he looked up at Katie, his expression hardening and, for once, I thought he was going to actually do something.
"Go get the mop and a bucket, young lady."
That was it. Katie huffed but obliged, and returned with both things, dropping the bucket an inch away from the floor and causing it to splash some water out. Clearly intended for me, though it mostly reached her father. I could tell she noticed because, unlike if more water had reached me, she looked regretful.
"You cooked mine wrong anyway so, no loss," she said, smiling at me.
As Katie made her way back to the kitchen, a smile of satisfaction on her face that I couldn't see but I could feel was there, Louis gave me an apologetic look. Another flaw of his, he just didn't know how to discipline his daughter despite being the adult and her being the child. But I didn't count it as a flaw back then, because I didn't know how to do so either.
Our second day there was better.
I was stuck taking care of Molly, the chocolate-colored toy poodle that Katie often, even that morning, made sure to remind me was not mine, but who I fed, played with, cleaned up after and walked. Even before this vacation. While Katie only picked her up after her grooming appointments to take selfies with and, very rarely, played fetch with when she had friends over at the apartment I'd been sharing with them for two months prior to the wedding.
"I'm tired of this fucking house." at first, I was caught off guard by the fact Katie was speaking to me. It shocked me enough to make me forget Louis had left to go to the store around forty minutes ago, and that the closest town was fifty minutes away. "I'm gonna go outside."
It took me a minute to react. I watched her walk out the back door and left Molly to her food before I moved to the kitchen window that had a great view of the backyard. I opened it.
"Stay in the backyard, you don't know the area!" I told her.
Katie showed me the middle finger over her shoulder, then disappeared past the treeline.
I deflated a little. But Molly butting my leg, demanding more food and greeting me with that cute little face of hers fixed my mood some. I played fetch with her, throwing the ball from the kitchen to the living room, watching her run after it and bring it back only to make me wrestle her for it. I wasn't really paying attention to the passage of time. I got the ball from Molly again and I threw it across the house again, Molly ran after it, but stopped right in front of the wooden back door, every hair in her little body standing on end as her ears pressed back against her head, teeth bared as she growled. Then, she ran and hid under the couch.
The door opened.
I felt my heart drop to my stomach and my world spin when I laid my eyes on Katie. Her jeans and blouse were dirty and torn, she looked like she'd rolled around in the mud and at the same time, like someone or something had tried to rip her clothes off her. But her body seemed pristine, not a scratch or bruise or even a speck of dirt on her skin, the high ponytail her long blond hair was pulled into was a bit crooked but, other than that, it looked the same as when she'd left. She stared at me, but looked as if she was staring right through me.
"I fell," Katie spoke, realizing I needed some sort of explanation, fast. But only giving me the most emotionless and short explanation.
She fell? She just fell?
I scrambled to my feet and stepped forward, not daring to touch her at first. Then, I dropped to my knees in front of her, my hands moved to feel the inside of her thighs for any wetness, any blood, as she just stared down at me with that thousand yards look in her eyes, her lips pressed into a thin line. Then, her eyes finally focused on me, moving slowly as if she was studying my face carefully.
"What happened?" I asked her, my voice more of a plea for her to tell me than a question.
"I told you," she said, just as emotionless as the first time. "I fell."
I stood up and reached for her shoulder. Without really meaning to, but needing proof that she was actually there and wasn't just an apparition while the real Katie was lying dead in some tree, having been attacked by an animal or taken advantage of by some sick bastard because I had too little of a spine to make her listen to me, I squeezed. She just stared at me. Then, as if she realized she was supposed to feel pain because she'd just told me she'd fallen, she winced.
"That hurts," there was just barely a hint of emotion in her tone. The kind of 'that hurts' that you voice when you get a drop of hot water on your hand while cooking, not the kind you voice when you've fallen in the woods hard enough to walk back home with torn clothes.
I didn't know what to do. I called Louis, I called the rangers. They both arrived at around the same time, with the park rangers car parking in our driveway just before Louis did. He must have broken some kind of record, and all speed laws known to man, considering the park rangers building was way closer than the town the store he'd driven to was located in.
The rangers came prepared. One of them had medical training while the other kept asking me questions. I insisted that something more than a fall had to have happened, and they agreed, but with no injuries, no signs that she'd been hurt other than the state of her clothes, and no word from Katie other than that she'd fallen while taking a walk through the woods and come back home right after, there wasn't really anything they could do other than go outside with Louis and check the surroundings for a little over two hours, before concluding that there was no sign of people nor any animal that could have caused that, only Katie's footprints going to and from the woods.
Afterwards, Katie had been… strange.
I blamed it on the shock of whatever had happened to her, but deep down I knew there was something else going on. Katie hadn't ever come in contact with me, aside from that first time we'd been introduced to each other and we shook hands. Any other time I tried to initiate any kind of physical attention: a gentle squeeze, a playful poke, or even as much as brushing my hand against her by accident, she moved away as if my touch burned her. If Louis wasn't looking, she'd pair her actions with a look of disgust that would indicate I'd touched her with a shit-stained stick instead of my very clean hand. Now, she became my shadow.
She sat by my side on the couch, cuddling against my side. She followed me into the kitchen and insisted on helping me cook dinner, which I had to guide her through like she had never done or before, which didn't surprise me because- well, she was spoiled and I wouldn't have put it past Louis to never teach his daughter how to cook. Since the night before's dinner had been impossible to enjoy and Louis hadn't been able to get more groceries with his quickly he'd returned in his panic of something happening to his daughter, I just decided to recycle the idea of making steak, which Katie seemed really happy with. She watched me open another package of four steaks, and put it in the microwave so that they would unstick from each other. I could have sworn I watched her mouth water when I pulled them out after five minutes and there were droplets of blood dripping from them when I got them with the fork to get them off the plastic container.
When it came time to turn them around in the oven, Katie was hovering behind me, staring over my shoulder.
"Can we eat them like that?" she asked me.
Her tone was gentle, hesitant and polite in a way that made me flinch because I fully expected this to be some sort of trap. I even looked down at her hands to make sure she wasn't folding anything that could be used to prank me or hurt me. That was the level of paranoia this child's behavior had reduced me to. But her hands were empty aside from a cloth I'd been using to clean some blood off the counter and I'd asked her to hold it for me while I checked our food. She was squeezing and twisting it almost nervously.
"You like your steak rare?" I asked her. Her eyes narrowed and her head tilted in confusion. "That's when it's juicy and red on the inside."
"Oh," she said, her tone suddenly monotonous. "Yeah, I like it like that."
I nodded, thinking to myself that, well, that was weird. But I would take this kind of weird behavior ten times over her usual angry-at-the-world behavior.
The next day, we all went to town. Even Molly came along, because Katie insisted on bringing her with us. It'd been an odd night, but slowly, Molly seemed to begin warming up to Katie again, enough to let her be the one holding the leash. I blamed the previous growling and hiding on the fact seeing Katie the way she'd returned from the woods had probably scared the soul out of Molly, or that perhaps she could smell some wild animal on Katie that made her wary of her. But that didn't matter. How could it matter when Katie walked ahead of Louis and I, trotting to make Molly run and bark, her fluffy tail wagging a mile per second.
We made it to the store and each of us went their own way, agreeing to meet back at the front to pay in fifteen minutes, while Molly stayed outside, tied to the bicycles rack.
As I made my way from hall to hall, I noticed Katie in the hall with all the hair products. She was holding a box of hair dye. It didn't surprise me, since I'd already seen her dye her hair different colors a few times. She had the hair for that, honey blond and healthy from her five products routine. What made me let out a punched-out gasp as I approached, however, was the fact that she was holding a brunette dye box, staring intensely at it and, upon realizing I was there with her, holding it up beside my hair.
"Do you think it's the same color?" she asked me.
Hesitantly, I took the box from her hand while grabbing a strand of my own hair with the other, comparing the color shown on the box with my own. Then, I looked up at Katie.
"I think mine is just a shade darker," I said, handing the box back.
Katie nodded, returned the box to its previous spot, even made sure that it was perfectly straight. Then, she looked for a darker shade and grabbed it. She looked at it, then at me, and she smiled a smile I could only describe as tense and unused.
"It's this one," she said. "Can you dye my hair when we get back?"
This time, I managed to hold back the punched-out gasp that threatened to leave me. I smiled a crooked smile, torn between shock and joy that this was actually happening, Katie wanted to spend time with me. "Of course I can!" I said, wincing at me own excitement because this felt unreal, felt like any moment now she was going to start cackling, mock me for falling for her prank. But, instead, Katie hooked her arm with mine, and walked with me around the store grabbing things, holding onto her hair dye box until it was time to pay and I had to tell her to hand it back.
I never heard so many compliments about how pretty my curls were and how shiny my hair was as I did on the ride back to the house. Katie complimented me enough to make Louis feel like he had to, too, but his "I love when you have it loose like today." didn't compare with Katie's "Your hair is soft like cotton."
It was nice. But I still sort of expected the other shoe to drop. I made sure that Katie told me she wanted me to dye her hair the same color as mine and that it'd been her idea out of nowhere to do so, twice, in front of her father once we made it to the house, before I even made my way with her to the bathroom to actually do it, because I wasn't going to risk her claiming that I'd forced her or anything of that sort once it was done and there was no turning back. Once it was done, she stared at herself in the mirror, awestruck, and made me stand beside her, her expression growing even more joyful as we stood side by side with our now identically-colored hair. I even offered to get a curler and try my hand at giving her curls that looked like mine, but Katie very politely told me she just loved the color.
That day had been so perfect, I didn't even have it in me to get mad at Louis when he got a call early in the morning the next day telling him he had to go back home because something at work had gone wrong and nobody but him could sort the problem out. I just smiled and told him we'd be waiting for him, even after he told me that he'd be gone until Thursday night.
Louis left after lunch. I just resigned myself to having Katie go back to her old self the moment his car sped away from the driveway. I even walked back to the living room with fearful, hesitant steps, only to find her sitting on the carpet in front of the couch, Molly curled up on her lap, her tail wagging lazily as Katie petted her. Katie turned her eyes from the weather broadcast to me, smiling.
"It's going to rain tonight," she told me. "We could watch a movie."
That's how we ended up cuddling- yes, cuddling on the couch, a blanket over both of us, Molly lying over the blanket on Katie's lap, and a now empty bowl of popcorn on mine. Rain poured outside, but there was no thunder, just the howling of the wind and the crashing of water against glass and the wood of the porches.
Then, there was a much heavier, louder crash on the back porch.
We both tensed. Molly whined and shifted in Katie's lap, even barked, and Molly rarely barked. Something was wrong. I moved to stand and Katie's hand seized my arm, her features twisted into a fearful expression.
"Don't go," she whined.
I rested my hand over hers. It took me a minute to pry her fingers from my arm, the feeling of her grip lingered even as I brought her hand to my lips and pressed a kiss to her knuckles.
"Stay here," I told her.
I moved the blanket off myself and petted Molly to try and calm her, before I slowly made my way towards the door. I peeked out through the peephole just as something heavy and human slammed against the door.
Katie stood outside, soaked to the bone. Her hair was a mess, knotty and dirty like she hadn't combed or washed it in days, her arms and legs were covered in scratches and bruises, some deep enough to bleed, she had a wild look in her eyes, looking back over her shoulder towards the woods with frantic glances, never ceasing her knocking on the door, her clothes were different from what she'd worn that day when she left the house to go for a walk, it looked like some kind of leather I couldn't recognize if I didn't open the door.
I pressed my forehead to the door and closed my eyes, feeling each vibration all the way to the bone as her fists frantically banged against the outside of the wooden surface.
"Dad, are you there?!" she cried out. "Let me in. They're going to find me! Dad!"
"I told you to stay in the backyard."
A couple seconds of shocked silence passed, then. "Teresa?" she asked. The little shit sounded almost surprised I was there, when this is my house too. "Teresa, what the hell are you waiting for?! Open the fucking door!"
"You should have fucking listened to me, you disrespectful little brat!" I spoke, louder, harsher than I'd ever dared speak to her before. I was tired of being the enabler and receiving only disrespect in return. "Now you're going to learn!"
Then came the insults. Being called an envious cunt, among many other nasty words that no twelve year old should be using with anyone, but much less with her father's spouse who had up until now been trying her best. It made it easier to turn my back to the door, eyes still shut as I took a deep breath, reminding myself it wouldn't be right to tell a child that this 'envious cunt' made her daddy's toes curl at night.
I looked towards the living room and there was Katie on the couch, where I'd left her. Her body remained facing towards the paused television, but her head was tilted as far as she could to the side, staring directly at me through the corner of her eye. Her face seemed to have paled, shoulders tense and eye wide like she'd been caught looking through my closet, but also like an animal ready to attack. Like a cornered rat, the thought popped in my head and, honestly, it was fitting. This was the most genuine emotion I'd seen on her face since she'd walked in with her clothes torn and dirty, but otherwise unscathed.
The microwave went off. The popcorn was ready.
I walked towards the kitchen slowly, holding my hands behind my back to let the Katie on the couch see them at all times. I poured all the popcorn into two bowls and added butter and salt to mine, ketchup and sugar to Katie's. The hairs at the back of my neck stood on end and, resisting the urge to look over my shoulder, I glanced towards the microwave door and saw the reflection of Katie peeking into the kitchen, staring right at me with that same 'busted child and cornered rat hybrid' look on her face. When I turned to face that direction, losing sight of her for perhaps half a second, she wasn't there. I walked back into the living room with one bowl in each hand, ignoring the banging on the door and the voice that had changed her strategy from insults to desperate pleas, and found Katie on the couch again, in the exact same position as when I'd left her.
"Remind me to add ketchup to the list of things I need your dad to buy on his way back," I hummed as I sat back by her side, resting the bowls on my lap, hers in front of mine, closer to my knees. "We don't want to run out or we'll have to find you a different snack for movie nights."
I grabbed the remote, swung one arm over the back of the couch and watched her flinch at my closeness. I didn't touch her, choosing to instead give her time to initiate contact on her own. After all, some kids are fidgety when they feel like they might be in trouble, especially kids like my Katie, always trying so hard to be the perfect child and make me happy, but not socially aware enough to tell that my previous upset had been directed at the rude little shit at the door, not at her.
It took a minute, but she finally returned to her previous position leaning against my side, and I wrapped my arm around her, tracing gentle shapes against the smooth, hairless flesh of her arm. There was hair growing there, I could feel it now.
The screams got loud and more desperate before they finally stopped and I was able to unpause the movie.
"I love you, mama," Katie said from where her head rested against my chest, one of her hands pressed flat over my belly, fingers sprawled out as if she wanted to feel as much of me as possible, as if she loved me so much she couldn't get enough of me.
"I love you too sweetie."

Meet My MC: Evie Ayana (OG HSS)
Trivia and Extended Details under the cut!
Note: All details are subject to changes and additions.
Family and Background
🇮🇳 Evie is a mix of South Asian (Indian) and European (English/Scottish) descent. Her mom Rani is Indian, and her Dad Scott is a mix of South Asian and European. However, Scott suspects he may have some Turkish roots/ancestry somewhere along the line.
💔 After Scott and Julia (Emma's Mom) ended up going their separate ways in college, Scott would meet Rani. The two fell in love and eventually were married and pregnant, but divorced on amicable terms because Rani realized during the pregnancy that she was not up to being a parent. It was tough on the two of them because they were an otherwise perfect match.
🌉 Evie was born in San Francisco, California, and has lived there all her life up until her and Scott's move to Cedar Cove when he got a new job offer.
👶 Scott chose the name "Evelyn" partly because he liked the way it sounded and partly because some of its meanings include "desired", "desired child", and "wanted", as Scott had always wanted to be a father. But it was quickly shortened to "Evie" as he began using "Evie-bear" as a name of endearment for her.
👨👧 Rani would sometimes come to visit Scott and Evie, being more of an Auntie figure to her. They get along pretty well, but it could be a bit awkward since Rani and Scott still had some feelings for each other and neither of them had really had any new partners. Evie never resented Rani for leaving, but would often feel like she missed out on having a great mother figure.
☪️ Both Evie and her dad are cultural semi-practicing Muslims. Scott has Islamic ancestry, but grew up in a household that wasn't strictly religious. Most of his and Evie's practicing of the religion involves fasting on Ramadan, celebrating Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-al-adha, not eating pork or drinking alcohol, and the occasional prayer.
🐱 Scott and Evie adopted Daisy just after Evie graduated middle school. Scott had always wanted a cat as a kid, but his father was deathly allergic. This made Scott afraid to get a furry pet for years, even after he'd moved out. But with Evie loving cats just as much as he does, he eventually decided "enough" and adopted a month-old white-and-orange rescue kitten. Daisy is quiet and calm, but at the same time, her Orange Cat side shows through quite often and she also gets freaked out by large groups of people.
🐹 Scott and Evie adopted Cheese Nugget (sometimes called "Cheesy") in the Fall of Evie's first year at Berry because Scott loves hamsters just as much as he does cats. Don't worry, they make sure to keep Daisy and Cheesy far away from each other. Daisy doesn't know that Cheesy even exists and they intend to keep it that way.
Evie's HSS Story
🚚 Evie hates drastic changes, and hopes to live a life that is stable and secure. At the very least, she wants to be able to know how to mitigate drastic changes. Evie was not a fan of having to move up North. She was leaving behind the home she'd lived in since childhood and the few friends she had made. But she did also hope to end up in a better high school environment.
🫢 Evie started out as very cautious, nervous, and impulsive before coming to Berry. She was bullied fairly often in early elementary school and sometimes had trouble making a lot of friends. When she came to Berry, she was very unsure of it at first and did still have some difficulty, but she was eventually able to take the opportunity of a fresh start and begin pushing herself to be a more confident, outspoken, and actively helpful person. She's been able to make friends and stand up to bullies and assholes much more easily at Berry, though it could still be a bit difficult sometimes.
🤵♀️ Evie is a very GNC cis girl and has been for as far back as she can remember. She tends to prefer masc clothing and hair styles, she's very proud of her masc form and likes to work on maintaining her muscular build, she almost exclusively likes role-reversed romances and behaves accordingly with Aiden, and she struggles majorly with genital dysphoria. Seeing Evie being so open with her GNC appearance and behaviors eventually inspires him to step out of his comfort zone and start trying out some GNC styles himself, such as crop tops, short shorts, and dresses.
🏈 Evie has done basketball ever since she was 4, and football ever since late middle school. Berry High was her first time getting into baseball. Though even for basketball, she'd never been on an official team for any of those sports until Berry. But she also greatly enjoys running and has done track-and-field in her freshman year. She had wanted to join football back then, but was a lot more unsure about it. Even in Berry she was a bit unsure, but seeing how welcoming Julian and Caleb were and encouraging her to join made her feel more confident about it.
🫂 Of the people she's met during her time at Berry, she's closest to Emma Hawkins, Jade Ali, Caleb Michell, Michael Harrison, Maria Flores, Caleb Mitchell, Cher Lee (my HSS:CA f!MC) and Bear Lee (her twin), Sakura Watanabe, Julian Castillo, Cameron Levy, Kieran Hale, Frank Walter, Koh Sunya, Myra Khandaar, Ajay Bhandari, Skye Crandall, and Payton Saunders. And Aiden Zhou, of course, but that goes without saying.
🎹 Evie was drawn to Aiden right when she first saw him. She didn't crush on him just yet, but she was captivated by his distinguished appearance and she would try to get to know him better at Brian's party. It wasn't until after he invited her to listen to him play piano that she officially started crushing on him and began actively pursuing him.
👫 Evie was drawn to Aiden for a couple of reasons. There's the fact that he was kind and she found him attractive as all hell, of course. But the big one for her is that she could see a lot of herself in him. He was reserved, shy, insecure, and socially awkward, and she could relate to that. But he was also passionate and dedicated to his craft, and seeing that inspired her to do better at her own interests and passions.
😬 Knowing the story of her parents' backstory has made Evie a little bit cautious about her own relationships; she'd always want to make sure that her partner was 100% comfortable with her and that she wasn't forcing them into doing anything they didn't want to do. This especially shows as she gets into a relationship with Aiden, a normally reserved guy who starts to step out of his comfort zone more often while dating her. She always kept it mostly friendly with him, but would start to express more romantic gestures and feelings when she learned for sure that he liked her. Her insecurity would be a point of contention between them later on in their relationship, but eventually they'd be able to work it out together.
🏀 Evie was very infuriated by Band and Cheer siding against Basketball. Although she sympathized with them on how Isa was treating them unfairly, she despised that they were primarily going after the team over it. It pissed her off even more when Aiden seemed to defend it and even agreed with Mia that the team was "like a second Isa". For a while she'd contemplated whether or not to bring it up, but seeing how everyone did seem to acknowledge they were caught up in their stress, she figured it'd be okay to let it go. Though she and Aiden would eventually discuss it later.
🎤 Evie has mixed feelings on her singing skills. She's not amazing, but she can carry a tune well enough. Sometimes she sings karaoke with no one else and likes how it sounds, other times she isn't so confident about it. But she does seem to be a little less nervous about it when singing with a partner, as discovered by her karaoke with Aiden at Brian's party. Eventually her singing skills will improve as Evie-Aiden duets almost certainly become a regular thing.
👑 Evie ended up winning Homecoming Queen, Payton's Guest of Honor, and Prom Queen. Hoco and Prom titles were never something she really cared about, but she still felt honored to win them.
🎭 Evie has always loved imaginary play-pretend games as a kid and thus does take a little bit of interest in theatre, and would feel ready to try it out by the start of HSS:CA. She was cast as the princess for one part of auditions, but her role of preference was the Knight. However, Danielle's sabotage causing her to break her leg would leave her very distraught, as she was missing out on both football and on theatre that quarter.
Miscellaneous Personality Trivia
💜 Evie's favorite colors include purples, powder pinks, and mint greens.
🎵 Evie can't play an instrument to save her life. She'd taken a few lessons as a kid once, but it did not work out. Aiden does think she might have a secret talent for percussion, though.
💞 Besides Aiden, Evie has also felt attraction for Michael Harrison, Maria Flores, Julian Castillo, and Kieran Hale. None nearly as strongly as Aiden, though. But later on in life, Aiden and Evie may agree to an open marriage and occasionally swing with Michael and Maria.
🏳️🌈 Evie is bi with a huge preference for guys. She first realized she wasn't straight around the end of 7th grade and knew for sure she was bi in 9th grade. However there was a lot of confusion for her in figuring this out because of her heavy preference for men, and stigmas that bi women with a male preference "aren't queer enough" or "just looking for attention". In fact, she didn't even have her first actual girl-crush until she met Maria. But soon enough, she was able to come to terms with the fact that her preference for men doesn't make her any less bi.
📝 Evie loves creative writing and has done it since she was a kid. This is in part motivated by the fact that she dislikes most of the romance/erotic stories genre. While she has nothing against those who do like them, and there are some movies that she can still enjoy even with a normative main romance, she still has a bit of contempt for the genre because of how pretty much none of them cater to more role-reversed romance fantasies. So she’s always felt pretty alienated in the genre, and has considered a career as an author so she can publish stories with GNC romance.
✈️ Evie has a bit of an attachment to vehicles like trains and airplanes and gets a bit excited about going on them. A lot of the time, Scott would let her help him out with his model train displays.
⭐ Evie loves cute and pretty stuff. Heart shapes, star shapes, flowers and flower shapes, butterflies, smiley faces, cats, glittery/shiny/sparkly/shimmery things, squeaky things, etc. You can rip that stuff from her cold, dead hands.
🌸 Evie adores scented products and has a huge collection of lotions, gel bead freshners, soaps, and other bath/home/care products that have scents she loves. Her favorite scents include eucalyptus, lavender, mint, cherry, and powder.
🎶 Even though Evie can't play a musical instrument for shit and a lot of the musical terminology Aiden uses is utter nonsense to her, she's quite the enthusiast for good songs and soundtracks. The Incredibles, The Matrix, Super Mario Galaxy, James Bond, and many more. She excitedly raves to Aiden about her favorite soundtracks from movies, video games, TV shows, etc. Often she'll even recommend a show or movie to him partly on the basis of it having a bomb-ass soundtrack, and almost 100% of the time he will enjoy it and they'll rave about the best parts of the soundtrack together.
📸 Evie puts great value on having hard physical records of memories, much unlike her boyfriend who prefers to remember things through music. Sometimes she does like to maintain memories through associations, but out of the fear of the possibility that she could forget certain good or important memories, she always tries to keep photos, notes/journal entries, or any other form of direct record.
☕ Evie does not like coffee. It smells nice, but the taste is awful to her. She much prefers tea (especially Earl Grey and mint teas), hot cocoa, and warm apple cider.
🌶️ Evie loathes spicy food. Hot peppers, spicy-flavored chips, heck, even a lot of South Asian/Indian dishes. She hates the taste and doesn't understand the appeal at all.

Bonus Meta Fun Facts:
In my first HSS playthrough, I named my MC "Cady Heron" after the character from "Mean Girls", which I personally consider to be one of my most favorite high school movies of all time. By my second playthrough, I changed it to "Evie Ayana" to make the character more personalized.
My username "cadybear420" comes from hearing Scott call my MC "Cady-bear" all the time in that first playthrough. Plus 420 added on because weed number funny.
Evie, "Cady" at the time, originally started out having the wavy blonde hairstyle. But when I got to Book 2, I changed it to the short brown hairstyle. But I do like to headcanon she did have long bleached hair at the start of her freshman year in high school.
Prior to making this profile, 3 out of my total of 7 playthroughs took Evie on some greatly alternative routes. Two where Evie romanced Michael; one where Evie did band and was good at it; and one where Evie sucked at raising school spirit, was a jerk to the Hearst kids, and led on Emma so she could ask Aiden to homecoming.
My headcanons for her story during the HSS:CA timeline are currently tentative. Not only because it's been a while since I last played the trilogy, but also because I might change up a lot of the canon for my headcanons. We'll see.
