can’t make gifs rn, but i’ll gladly add my own personal “oh no” moments out into the void:
Taylor groping Leslie’s thigh while he’s choking her on the floor to grab his knife in Behind the Mask (2006)
Rebecca Gayheart menacing a bound and gagged Alicia Witt on a candlelit bed in Urban Legend (1998)
The Mirror Scene™ from Cabin by the Lake (2000)
Skye seducing her murderous fanboy into untying her while cucking her fuming evil sister in My Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen Part 3 (2012)
“How good are you?” from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986)
Literally about 98% of The Hitcher (1986) but John licking the coins is a particular standout
Laurie straddling Michael’s unconscious body to finish him off in Halloween (2007)
Cesare snapping out of his mind-controlled attempted murder to touch a sleeping Jane’s hair in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)
“Your firstborn has returned” from Penny Dreadful (2014-16)
Too many from Candyman (1992) to count
Adrian choking Cecilia against a car in the pouring rain in The Invisible Man (2020)
Among...others XDD

All you do is complain, leave if you want to leave.
i wasn’t gonna entertain this but i’m going to lol
i think i’m allowed to complain? on my own blog for a start!! but it’s genuinely upsetting when i sit up, lose sleep to try and fill out requests and get them posted and because of peoples refusal to reboot things go unnoticed?
genuinely put yourself in a creators shoes, there’s the writing, rewriting, deleting and completely starting over, proofreading, tagging, linking, etc to do and we finally are proud of it, post it and half the time the people that request it, don’t even rb it or even leave a little comment, it hurts ?!
if just a fraction of people rb’d peoples works we wouldn’t have to complain, liking it does not send it out to more people, liking it gives it another note, sure but reblogging (and tagging) are the only ways our stuff gets shared about to a bigger audience and yet, people still don’t do it
and i know for a fact if the people that didn’t rb, were creating any sort of art and trying to get people to see it and enjoy it, they would complain too
as for leaving, i genuinely might but atm i don’t want to because i do like writing, i enjoy it a lot but when you get little to no feedback, it makes you question what is the point in me keep doing it
psa!! if you DO comment on n rb my shit, i’m giving you a thousand forehead kisses, i love you, i appreciate you n i hope both sides of your pillow are cold !! mwah!

eh i feel like that analysis you rb’d misses the mark on gojo’s character tho … he goes the entire manga clearly being someone who thinks (the important) shit through and it’s kind of assumptive to say based on the last few chs he then rushes to the battle with sukuna because of his own flaws. i mean its just my 2cents but it’s realy interesting how we can all interpret things in such different ways, cause op of that post seems to say that gojo sending inumaki and panda to geto is based on a flimsy conviction, but i always interpreted that as him 1) knowing geto so well he has an unshakeable confidence that his plan would work and 2) being logical about his plan to the point of being cold (sending 2 of his students to get beat up or worse). i think that “logic to the point of being cold” has been the way i’ve interpreted many of gojo’s actions (esp since geto left, but he’s even brash with riko before he warms up to her). but anyway even if i don’t fully agree with op’s characterization i def don’t like that he’s taking on the role of the strongest yet again to the detriment of the narrative, and the man has a million unfortunate death flags regardless. to me this all has just read as shitty writing from gege, but even still, i feel like “gojo dying” or “sukuna dying” would be kinda a cop out ending to this fight. i want something more interesting and less predictable to happen but idk if incan ask that from gege lmfao. idk why im typing all this i love nuance and talking. i would love to hear ur thoughts if you have!!
pls forgive me im no good with words or responding to asks efdjksfjsdlhjgksdf but ill do my best 👍
i see what ur saying that the past few chapters seems shitty writing but the op of that post gives gege the benefit of the doubt that all of this was on purpose lol. gojo is a guy who thinks important stuff through which is why the past few chapters feel very ooc: him going on his own again, saying things would be better with gakuganji leading the higher ups, presumably him murdering the rest of the higher ups even though he said that would do nothing. these are all things that gojo outright refuted at the beginning of the manga or things that gojo learned wouldn't help him after hidden inventory. it all seems very counterproductive cuz none of these seem like things the gojo we know would do. its not necessarily the op's characterization but rather a possible explanation why gojo is acting the way he's acting
cause op of that post seems to say that gojo sending inumaki and panda to geto is based on a flimsy conviction, but i always interpreted that as him 1) knowing geto so well he has an unshakeable confidence that his plan would work and 2) being logical about his plan to the point of being cold
personally i disagree with this? of course that was him being logical to being cold but he said that was about trusting geto and geto responded "trust? i didn't think we had any of that left" or something like that. even if it was a calculated action on gojo's part there was always the possibility of something going wrong, especially based on something like trust that they had broken between them before. or maybe im reading what you said wrong? because i guess youre saying that it wasn't a flimsy conviction because gojo trusted geto, which in that case i think what the op meant wasn't that his belief in geto was flimsy, but rather had a flimsy foundation, because trust is something that can so easily be broken
but aside from that yes!! i definitely agree that it's not right that he's taking up the mantle once again and everyone is relying on him. it's a regression from what he said when he was getting sealed that he had faith everyone would be okay, and there is a recurring theme that being alone/doing things alone leads to ruin. i dont want gojo to die but i definitely want and expect him to lose, because otherwise it seems all his character development and all of this build-up was for nothing. i still think the end of jjk will result in an upheaval of restructuring of jujutsu society if not the eradication of cursed energy which i guess go hand in hand? and if gojo wins now he can just kill kenny and replace the higher ups with his people but in the end that wont make everlasting change in anything. im sure someone better and more well-versed in politics than i am can make the comparison with government and elections but as it is i might as well mention the metaphor (allegory? idk)
its not really fair either to any of the characters. gojo cant be relied on solely to fix everything especially when currently his solution lacks the complexity needed to really really fix things and seems to focus on whats directly in front of him. and like i guess thats par for the course his opponent is sukuna he kind of has to focus on whats ahead of him idk what his plan is for after that but like. idk what im trying to say 😭ANYWAY MOVING ON. its not just unfair to gojo to have everything on his shoulders, its also unfair to the kids to have everything on their shoulders. because as well as 'dont fight alone' its also been 'the problems of adults should not be children's responsibility'. if gojo dies then we come across this problem as well. so i agree with you i hope this battle doesn't result in either of their deaths but something more and better!!!
anyway i hope this is comprehensible 😭i love nuance and talking too feel free to ask whatever you want!! (but pls dont expect much intellect from me fjhajhfshjkfdjhfsfk)

You know what’s makes the whole “Sirius and Remus were 100% willing and ready to kill Peter” thing even better? They flat out tell Peter that he had to know that if Voldemort didn’t kill him, they would. They knew, and Peter had to know as well, that there was no world in which he could get James killed and Remus and Sirius would not seek deadly retribution once they learned. Peter really signed his death warrant by betraying James and only survived because Harry thought James wouldn’t want Sirius and Remus to become killers.
i think someone rb’d my previous post (and presumably ur ask?) with something similar saying they signed it in blood or something and the thought is so funny to me lmao
it’s funny bc ‘u had to know’ would make so much fkn sense coming out of sirius’ mouth bc i have no doubt in my mind that anyone who interacted w him knew instantly about how protective he was. but remus????? i’m losing my mind @ how this man never even bothered to say hi to harry but he’s now promising revenge. it just makes me even more convinced james was a subconscious cult leader bc,,,,how else does one explain that?
i also lowkey think that peter was always scabbers bc he was scared of sirius. (i cannot remember if this was confirmed/disproved in canon pls don’t burst my bubble lol) like he just knew that sirius fucking black would escape one day—if anyone could, it’d be him—and utterly annihilate him. like, just the thought of it was so debilitating that the man decided to live as an entire animal for over a decade. u can argue for self preservation all u like but that’s barely even a life and he’d have realised it within days too. yet, he stayed there. the only reason i can think of is utter fear of sirius. like, he had to have been at least somewhat confident right? he’s managed to fool the WW, he got one up over sirius + hit him falsely imprisoned, he successfully betrayed the potters & got them killed—that’s got to give anyone a high. but peter !!! was !!! still !!! terrified of what an imprisoned, possibly physically/mentally tortured person could do to him. really speaks so much about sirius’ abilities & loyalty towards james tbh.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted or even rb’d anything, so, uh, hey guys, I’m still here and stuff, I’m just too exhausted for much, but I’m trying to drag myself out of this pit yet again.
Been working on my workspace a bit, but I got too ambitious for my (lack of) skill level lmao soooo it’s taking me longer than anticipated because I keep trying to glare it into submission instead of working on it. For some reason, that doesn’t work lol. Buuuut it’s been uncomfortable to use my computer while I’m in this process, so I haven’t been.
I played KH3, and it was a beautiful and very fun game, but there’s this poisonous cloud hanging over it called Petulance, weakening it overall. Nomura needs to grow the fuck up.
I read in an interview sometime ago where he was talking about why his character designs have so many belts, and he said it’s cause when someone tells him not to do something, he does it more. Well, obviously, he’s never grown out of that petulant streak of his, and he exercises it in his professional life constantly ‘cause he’s never been held to task for it. Yeah, yeah, we get it, you’re mad one of your projects was taken from you. As a creator, I get it. But after several years of expensive development with constant changes and insignificant progress, of course it was taken. I don’t understand why Square doesn’t like..... give him small teams of writers and illustrators to meet on occasion to begin working on something, rather than giving him a full team, programming the hell outta things, spending tons of time and money and all manner of resource, when he’s clearly nowhere near ready for that....???? What is going on in Square Enix. What am I missing? Why is Nomura allowed to do these childish things? I’m so confused and annoyed.
Buuuut, as much as I bitch (had to get it all out of my system at least once tho), I’m trying to ignore all that drama and pretend I know nothing about it so I can just enjoy the game for what it is. The gameplay was extremely fun, I loved it, a lot. Everything from exploration to combat to the expanded Gummi maps. Okay, the reaction command making you summon a carousel instead of picking some mushrooms was definitely annoying on occasion, buuut not terrible. As far as time lost to it goes, I find Noct jumping to be way worse XD The game did feel a bit short to me though, I think because you only visit the worlds once in this story.
However, the ending was a bit.... lacking.
There was a lot of build up, but then it kinda fizzled out. There was no real emotional release. idk. I really enjoyed the journey of the game, but the ending was entirely unremarkable. It feels like we’re trapped mid-climax (STORYTELLING CLIMAX, NOT--) and we can’t slip into resolution. The story is incomplete. That’s the feeling it left me with. But, idk, I’m also still pretty strongly stuck in depression atm, so it could be shadowing my perception too.

“Siblings, two feathers from the same phoenix, a rarity. They’ve been sitting up there for longer than I can remember, unusual combinations them both.” He opens the boxes slowly. “One, holly, ten and a half inches, nice and supple, the other, pine, nine and three-quarter inches, unyielding. So different, yet at their cores, the same.” Scott stands to join her at the counter. His fingers creep forward towards the wand, curious. “Of course, the third…”
I’m assuming this is for the DVD commentary thing i rb’d the other day so THANK YOU SO MUCH :) this is gonna be a lot but im not gonna apologize for it. you picked a hell of a paragraph to send me
Siblings,Rowling calls this ‘brothers’ but obviously i couldn’t use that. hp is surprisingly gendered when you start to break it down two feathers from the same phoenix, a rarity. the whole basis of this fic is their connection (like many others lol) so to have a very literal representation of that was just a gift They’ve been sitting up there for longer than I can remember, unusual combinations them both.” this line of dialogue is paraphrased directly from Philosopher’s Stone if i remember correctly, though the book or the movie i can never tell. i almost didn’t write this scene, originally i was just going to start at the sorting. then when i started thinking about plot things and i realized that they’d need to be in diagon alley, i couldn’t not have them buying wands. i really love wandlore, its such a beautifully subtle way to reflect your characters. He opens the boxes slowly. “One, holly, ten and a half inches, nice and supple, this is essentially Harry’s wand except just a bit shorter (to make it more similar to Tessa’s), i kept it as Scott’s wand because it serves him in much the same way it serves harry. Holly is traditionally considered protective and works well for those who need help overcoming their temper (scott much?) there’s also some stuff about how holly wands favour wizards destined for dangerous quests but maybe spoilers? the other, pine, nine and three-quarter inches, unyielding. i spent a LOT of time fussing over tessa’s wand. mostly because there was so many good options for her. ultimately, i settled on pine because its wizards are often independent and can be seen as loners and because pine encourages creativity and is very adaptable. all of which suits tessa in nature and in plot purposes. she gets ‘unyielding’ for the exact opposite reason scott gets ‘nice and supple’ flexibility is the most vague aspect of wands but here it represents how comfortable they are in their personalities so to speak. Scott may seem outwardly confident in himself but inwardly his nature is still very adaptable in youth, there are several people he could end up being depending on outside influences. Tessa is less like this, she already has a handle on who she is and who she wants to be, not to say she won’t grow but her internal self is already pretty much in place. also it’s a nice contrast to the flexibility of the pine aspect. So different, yet at their cores, the same.” this line is very clearly reflective of vm themselves. their outer layer attributes may be different but they’re both driven by the same forces Scott stands to join her at the counter. His fingers creep forward towards the wand, curious. “Of course, the third…” of course, the third… if you know where im going with this you know where im going with this but if you don’t just enjoy the ride
send me a paragraph of any of my fics and i’ll write a commentary for it!
