Unità di Intelligence (JJBA OC's): Matteo

A character sheet dedicated to me and my bestfriend's (@bucciaratisbralette) JJBA OC's. More details will be posted later on.

Unità di intelligence is a team that specializes in intel gathering mostly for their Capo but also for other members of Passione and those seeking their services. It is reported that they will use any means necessary to extract information out of their targets even going as far as torture (hence why they are also often called for jobs require torture). They are one of the teams that work under Caporegime Fugo in the Naples territory. Their leader is Matteo who was said to have worked directly under Fugo at one point but eventually he was then given his own team to manage. Their base of operation is a laundrymat located in Naples, Italy.

Matteo

Stand description:

Everything Black has the ability to rob the sights of opponents who are within a 25 meter diameter of its user. It does this by turning the space around it pitch black and only allows its user and those allied with its user to see within the darkness. Works best in closed rooms and in wide empty spaces.

Secondary purpose of the stand is that it allows its user (and anyone who the user allows to) to camouflage within the shadows and transport them to other shady places but only within a 50 meter radius from the user.

User background:

Matteo was born already in the underworld scene as he is the son of a Don whose gang specializes in arms smuggling and assassinations. Matteo came to a surprise to his father seeing as the Don was already in his mid 40s when Matteo was born, but nonetheless he loved his son. Despite having a father that loved him, Matteo never really saw his father that much during his childhood. He was left in the care of one of his father's men.

That's where Matteo's own personal hell began. The goon that his father had assigned to take care of him would often talk down the young boy and punish him for nearly anything that he does. This man has also laid his hands on Matteo on several occassions. Matteo is frequently threatened that if he were to tell his father anything that happened, that his father would easily dispose of him like how he disposes all of his enemies.

Matteo didn't want to believe him, insisting that his father would never do that to him because he loves him to which his caretaker replies that if his father truly loved him, why is he never around? Matteo would often hide under his bed whenever the man tries to tell him that the only reason why his father kept him around was because he needed an heir to the gang business, that Matteo's only purpose in life was to lead the gang once his father retires, he was nothing more than a replacement for their Don and how he can never truly be anything else than a mafia boy.

Matteo tried his best to ignore his caretaker's words, but he just couldn't. It strained his relationship with his father which eventually lead to them having a fight and Matteo running away to hide in Capri at the age of 17, taking the cash he had hidden away in case of emergencies. His father's goons were hard to escape from, but Matteo eventually snuck passed them and set off on his own.

Once at Capri, he tried to live a normal civilian life, but he found himself struggling as he wasn't quite knowledgeable about the civilian life. He tried his best and it worked out for him in a way despite not knowing anything or anyone. But his quiet life as a civilian wouldn't last. His father's men eventually pin pointed his location and he had to run away again. The cycle of running away and hiding became Matteo's life for almost 2 years until he finally accepted that the mafia life is all that he will ever know. But that doesn't mean he cannot choose which gang to ally himself in.

Matteo found himself in the office of one of Passione's caporegime, asking him to take Matteo in Passione. The Capo was skeptical at first, knowing who Matteo's father was and thinking this was all a ploy. Matteo did what he could to convince the Capo to take him in and eventually he did - with a stand arrow stabbed on his stomach.

Matteo was officially a member of Passione and stand user at age 19. The nature of his stand made him work as an intelligence gatherer for the organization. With his familiarity of the underground, He had proven himself useful to the Capo he threw himself at. Matteo found himself gaining influence within Passione and even favors from some of the other Capos. His father's men still tries to take him back but with the help of Everything Black and the protection of Passione, he hasn't been caught yet.

Production week at Svalegangen in Aarhus for Don Gnu and Sparrowdance’s upcoming production ‘Sult’ premiering in late August.
