Ah! Unbelievable! I cannot believe it! It may seem hard to believe but honestly, I haven't been to a professional hairdresser in about .... forget about how long. I'm too embarrassed to say but it has been over 5 years, YIKES. Can you believe this?   My mom recently decided to change her hair color without the use of peroxide and was referred to a specific person at the hair school. She met Suni. She got her hair colored and loved it. Then of course thinking she found someone, the hair dresser changed salons. I was like, here we go.   This is why I haven't been to anyone. To find someone that is skilled in Black hair let alone natural Black hair near where I lived in Los Angeles that was “reasonably priced” was not easy and let alone in this city with a small percentage of disenfranchised people of color has been challenging. And friendliness? Ha! Forget about it. You better not step into any of these salons with this hair. Although, Europa seems to be the excpetion where Suni works.   And to find Suni, you gotta be crazy. Hallelujah!! My mom found a hairdresser and from the Dominican. What?! It may seem weird to specifically speak of a hair dresser from the Dominican however this has been when my natural hair has looked its best.   As you can see in my last photo I needed to go. My appointment was right on time. I did not want to tackle this head of hair in the pics. It was a nice change to wear it straight and to have it professionally done. I can finally brush my scalp. I will be going back. Suni!!!
