鈴子のお母ちゃんになった日の話。

衝動買いではなく、決して私にとって安い買い物でもなく、この子だから欲しくてたまらないという気持ちと、他の人に取られたくない気持ちで3日間悩んでお迎えを決めました。

本当にどうにかなってしまうのではないかと言うくらいに悩んで悩んで、お部屋も作ってあげて、10月18日張り切ってお迎えに行きました。

お迎えして本当に良かった、毎日楽しい、そう思ってるので、鈴子を見て欲しい気持ちと、鈴子の記録を残したい気持ちでtumblerを始めました。

Lotto: Angel of Dream SD unknown sculpt, second hand gift from my girlfriend who won him in a lotto giveaway. She gave him that very ‘original’ name and it stuck. XD

Nova: Doll Chateau Ada event doll, bought from alicecollections when they got her in stock and I snatched her up.

Asteri: Freakstyle bjd Persephone, won her in a giveaway >w< I was shocked oi won this very lovely doll. Gave her a pirate look cause that was the only thing that fit her. Named her Asteri cause it means star in greek, and Persephone is from greek myths. Chose star cause of my other pirate’s name Nova.

San: Dollzone BB yosd Nyu. Discontinued. Siblings Ichii, Nii and Shii. Numbered demons, their names will be the amount of horns they will get later. She needs a faceup eventually. ^-^;

Shii’s demonic form: (might changer her name later, she stole San’s wig)  Sugarable Naga on the glamour body. Put her on layaway right as she got discontinued. Got the layaway extended because I got evacuated due to wildfires, my house came out okay and when I got back I finished the layaway. She arrived around the same time as Asteri. First time I had dolls arrive one after the other lol

Amaya Clepsydra: Doll Love Nichi MSD my first full doll, she arrived April 7th 2014, a few days before my birthday. My mini me so to say, got her cause she looks like me and I liked her neutral look. My girlfriend’s ‘mini me’ is named Aurea Clepsydra, hence my doll got her last name <3

Grumpers: being held by Amaya is Grumpers a Dollzone Heavy Rain spring event doll. I scrapped the money together to get him, wish I could’ve gotten a fullset plus faceup but I figured I could give him something similar later on.

Luddy: Angell Studio Dodo yosd. Gift from my long distance girlfriend when I visited her for the first time. I also purchased a doll for her, Lully who is Luddy’s sister and Amaya & Aurea’s kids.

Nana: Doll Leaves K - (Kira) MSD head on a Luts body. Brought his head with me to the Netherlands when I visited my girlfriend, figured we could do his faceup. (never did) but we found him a body second hand. Cheap cause it was badly yellowed.

Lyndon: Doll Family - H Lyndon, needs a new name. Impulse buy from Jeeryama on ebay for a good price. I’ve admired the sculpt for awhile but didn’t want to buy it cause I have no idea on what character or style I wanted for him and there were other dolls on my wishlist but I couldn’t pass up the great price. XD

Tsu 2: Doll Family H SD practice head, looked similar in pictures to my doll Tsumetai so I thought I’d get it and mod it to be a different demonic form for Tsumetai but the resin doesn’t match and the head is bigger. I don’t plan on giving Tsu2 a body but maybe a bust stand.

Tsumetai: Dollzone Stramonium SD my very first bjd purchase, I fell in love with Dollchateau youth body (the one with the extra jointed arms/legs/neck) and odd beauty. But didn’t like any of their heads so went on a search until I found the Dollzone Stramonium head, I had my eye on her and when she got discontinued it spurred me on to purchase her. She arrived Dec, 7th, 2013.

The three heads under Tsumetai: Ichii, Nii, & Shii, bought at the same time as San. They are a Dollzone Mika, Tengyan, & Hiro. (I can’t remember which is which right now.) I couldn’t make up my mind on which doll I liked best so I got em all XD but I couldn’t afford bodies for them all, and I didn’t want them all to be floating heads so Nyu aka San got a body.

Loki: Miracle Doll Baiye Ghost msd head. I really liked his smirk, and his little horns. I figured he’d fit in with the other demon themed dolls I have XD

Fae’s mask: Fae is the three eyed doll, she came with a mask (not a head or faceplate) I was surprised when I opened my packaged and I had a doll head and a mask, I didn’t think the mask in the pics came with her. 

Fae: Flower & Junior Mizi.W. msd head. Fell in love with how adorable she looked and her unusual three eyes. I plan on putting her on a doll chateau body, and give her a pastel goth theme.

鈴子の身体の悩み。

お迎えを決めてから取り上げ基礎的な扱いを調べました。

保管の仕方、

直射日光が苦手なこと、

扉付きカラーボックスをお部屋にしてあげたこと、

湿度が高いところは得意じゃないらしいこと、

水分を吸収する石をお部屋に置いてみたこと、

素手で触らない方がいいこと、

沢山撫でて出かけて触れていたいから定期的に拭いてあげるけど気にしないこと、

色んなサイトを見て自分なりに自分と鈴子に合う触れ合い方と、鈴子の扱い方を多少学びましたが、鈴子は里子で、私のところに来た時からいくつかの問題を抱えていました。

その問題はおそらく技術的なことで解決してあげることができるもののはず…

1、向かって左のツノが耳に当たる・ツノがあらぬ方向に向く。

リンク先のツイッターでも分かりづらいですがイマイチツノがおかしな方を向くので、フォロワーさんの助言から改良している最中にゴムを切断して………新しく付け替えて見たところ、多少マシに！

もう少しなんとかしてあげたいですが、今のところはこれで精一杯です。

2、向かって左耳と左足の塗装ハゲ

リンクたちを見るとすぐにわかりますが、鈴子は耳にツノが当たっていたので耳の塗装？ペイント？お化粧？が剥げてしまってます。

仕方ないとは思いますが、なんとかしてあげたい……、知識も技術も圧倒的に不足していて不安なので、追い追い…。

そういう補修のようなものをしてくださるお店がないか探して見たんですが、皆さん自力で技術を持つのか該当せず、私も自力で頑張る方で力をつけます…。

3、瞳の入れ替え

もともと赤い瞳を入れてあげたいと思っていたんですが、最近鈴子は斜視気味だと気付きました。

左目が左側にずれている様子。

抜いて直そうかと調べたら、heavy rainの瞳を入れるのが大変だったという呟きを見つけ、慣れてる人が大変なのに初心者が出来るわけないのではないかと保留にしている状態。

4、替えの毛皮がない

今はとりあえず編んだ毛皮を着せてます。

二人で沢山出かけたいので、汚れてもいいようにお着替えが欲しいですね…。

didn’t want to have to do this

(Please bear with me, this may get a tad long)

Hey, all. Very recently I found that fellow hobbyist Sadomina (url is the name as well) has produced a doll that is too similar to one of my own to be comfortable. I know I don’t have too many followers and hers are probably in the hundreds, but that doesn’t make it any less personal. 

As you can see from the dates of my posts, I’ve had my Dollzone Heavy Rain for about a month and a half, and he’s been named Baaphomet for just as long. I went through many designs for him, and even after I faceupped him I still wasn’t totally sold on the elements (most depictions of the idol Baphomet show a pentagram or inverted pentagram on its forehead, an element I included in many of my preliminary and final designs, but just for funsies decided to first do his faceup with an inverted cross to mix the Baphomet (a goat headed being) lore with more lamb/sheep-based biblical lore (hence, the cross and the extra “a” in his name, making a “baa” sound, because you know, sheep and stuff). Basically I was really proud of my idea and thought it was hella rad and I gave myself back-pats all around.

That is, until early this week when I found Sadomina may have copied my character. One week ago, Sadomina posted a picture of her new Dollzone Heavy Rain and revealed his name to be Baaahhphomet. That really made me feel a whole slew of emotions; sad, confused, uncomfortable, kinda angry. I thought “you know, maybe I’m not as dang clever as I thought I was” because these things happen, even if it was far too similar even at that point for my liking. Then three days ago she posted the finished faceup and I was furious. See, now if I wanted to change Baaphomet’s faceup to include a pentagram, I would feel like I’m copying her, when she has already copied me. I am not convinced that she isn’t copying, because she has basically given the same character-themed name that includes the exact pun to the same sculpt. And that’s ridiculous and it’s making me way depressed because man you don’t just rip off artists like that, especially not lesser-known ones because then nobody calls you out on it and the artists themselves have to make awkward posts like these that nobody’s going to respond to anyways. 

So, as things like these happen, I sent her a friendly ask now about four days ago telling her about the similarities and why they made me uncomfortable and that I have had the doll and the character longer and asked if she could at least make them not as similar and I have not yet received a reply and she has also not publicly answered the ask, (and she has since posted multiple times to her blog) which has led me to making this post that I sincerely hope will get seen and perhaps spread. You can’t just copy people’s characters. I want to make that abundantly clear. 

Meanwhile, I’m going to redo or at least oopmh up Baaphomet because this whole ordeal has left me very depressed and anxious and I want to feel good about him again. That may include using an inverted pentagram because I shouldn’t have to hesitate to use my own designs I drew two and a half months ago.
