Last minute pre-departure trade - changed my “Dolly” cart for “campechana” Mexican seafood soup 😂. Got rid of the cart and hunger at once!! :) I’ve been searching for this “dolly” cart for couple days, because last time I was traveling to Cuba from Tijuana via #cbx there wasn’t a luggage cart which would make my traveling with more than 300 pounds impossible. And they changed it!! Now there are carts all the way to Tijuana check-in!! So I liberated my “blue Dolly” and I was going to sell it for half the price outside the CBX pass, but no one wanted to buy it :) So I got the idea to trade it for food with the owner of this food truck :) My pick up line was - “I bet no one approached you with a proposal like I’m going to make you. Would you trade a large campechana for this dolly?” “Sure!” Was his answer. Worked out perfect! This is fun :) #barter #trade #campechana #dollycart #dolly #traded #adventure #nomad #travelcuba (at Cross Border Xpress)

Taking a deep breath and having my last coffee on Venice canals, Los Angeles before my departure to Tijuana airport. Finally after 7 long weeks in Los Angeles I’m heading HOME TO CUBA - where apart from my “old” girlfriend @thaira.music, a “newly” adopted dog Usko is waiting me :)) Feeling so anxious about the ride because it’s the first time I have to take a bus to Border Pass Express #cbx in San Diego so I can cross to Tijuana! It would be fairly easy, but this time I am bringing to Cuba more then 130 kg of luggage (300 pounds)!!!! Much of it is to donate since things are scarce in Cuba. First part of my stay I was shopping like crazy because you need to bring virtually everything to Cuba and second part of my stay I was trying to figure out how can I carry with 2 hands 5 big suitcases... Until my friend suggested Dolly - the problem solver!!! “Dolly” sounds like a hot blond California chick, ok, rather a hot woman in her 60-tees, probably a waitress from those road movies, but in fact she was my last very much needed “purchase” - It’s a little push-push truck I got for $30 dollars in a hardware store. Normally when you travel, there is no need for it, because airports have carts but when you travel “abnormally” like me, with so much luggage via border pass express in San Diego, she might come handy. The thing is when you take CBX, you have to walk for about 10 minutes over a “bridge” (long hallway) between US and Mexico, without any airport cart, which would not be possible for me. So I have my own cart Dolly, and once I’ll be at the check-in desk in Tijuana airport, I’m going to have another adrenaline rush, because I’m always overweight :) Guys, many of you ask me how Americans can travel to Cuba from US, so will make my next post about it. It’s very easy. Unless you are bringing 300 pounds of luggage like me :) Then it’s just HEAVY!!! But certainly not imposible! #travelcuba #travelcubanow #cubatravel #Cuba2Day #dolly #enjoytheride #retrobike #mug #quotemug #venicecanals #goodbye #dolly #dollycart #pushpushpush #adventure #bikelife #bike #bikerchick #amazon #california #californialiving (at San Diego, California)
