This seahare species was known all over the world as Dolabrifera dolabrifera.
But in 2017, they separated the species and in the Atlantic ocean it is now known as Dolabrifera edmundsi. 🐌

A new species of snail has been discovered in the Amazon rainforest, and it is already causing a stir among scientists. The snail, which has been christened Juga dolabrifera, is notable for its volatile temperament. When disturbed, the snail releases a noxious substance that can cause irritation and even temporary blindness.
This defense mechanism is thought to be the snail's way of deterring predators. However, it also makes the snail a potential threat to humans. In particular, the snail's venom could be used as a weapon by criminals or terrorists.
There is currently no known antidote for the snail's venom, and so anyone who comes into contact with it is advised to seek medical help immediately. The discovery of this new species is sure to cause alarm among some people, but it may also lead to new ways of protecting ourselves from dangerous creatures.
