Also, I’m not trying to erase asexual representation today by explaining aromanticism as well, I just thought it would be useful to explain both in this comic, as they’re so closely related, and I’m not sure the next opportunity I’ll get to make a whole other comic for aromantics. Heyo I have come back from my animation hermit hole with some work to show. It was a blast to make and I think it turned out pretty nice! :33

Also I have to include this somewhere—it’s my civil duty as a Puzzle enjoyer. Behold the really poorly rushed Procreate photo mashup edits of Puzzles that I snuck into animation as a fun goofy Easteregg detail lol. Same thing with the SMG3 plushie in the corner—although he was included solely because I noticed other people had him in their MAP parts. So I wanted to keep a little continuity going to connect all parts together. We love sillies here <3

ok well that one's going straight on the favorites list for sure. absolute masterpiece. one of the most genuinely unsettling horror movies I've ever seen, and I've seen a LOT. It's all the slow descent into madness that the Shining movie wanted to be, the acting never missed a fucking beat (this is the guy's FIRST LEAD ROLE and goddamn did he command every second he was on screen), played super well on the 70s talk show on-air/off-air setting, then throw in some Cronenberg-style practical effects and I could not look away

#late night with the devil #this is one of those where you just know everyone working on the film has just this incredible appreciation for what they do #i mean everything down to the little bit of camera fuzz and the fact that he refers to the lights as par cans. every detail #and i mean it's already super clear that david dastmalchian is a big horror guy but he SHINES in this. really in his element #i mean it's the natural talk show host charisma. the slowly building grief and anxiety as it goes on. and then when it all falls apart #just. goddamn. definitely a new fave. my other favorite horror films are ex machina and the fly for reference #and this is all the unsettling atmosphere of ex machina plus all the grotesque visceral effects of the fly

i haven’t planked in months and i was worried that i would fall over within seconds so i used the lazytown theme song of all things to time myself. i planked for over a minute straight! maybe not much but i’m proud of it since my personal best is like 2 minutes. then i did 5 pushups and 10 sit-ups [my old daily routine] and was just as pleasantly surprised to see it wasn’t that bad! call me autistic but the lazytown binging is working on me. this is for you, sportacus 🫡

#a few months ago i was working out relatively excessively and had SO much energy and just generally felt great #like. i had never been happier with my energy levels and physical state. a super light and manageable routine was all it took #i wanna get back to that and stop using “school 4 days and work the other 3” as an excuse not to do these simple things #which improve my life SO much #and i’ve been going on 3 mile walks on campus too. thank god for the wonderful walking track around the pond #my poor asthmatic lungs need this 😭#gear diary #oh god and not to mention cutting back on the sugar. like… i ate a bag of raw vegetables for breakfast one day?#and recently had a pear and an apple for dinner one night?? returning to my roots of eating like a fucking rabbit in a greenhouse #AND i’ve resisted the urge to eat the usual processed sugary snacks lately. WHICH IS A HUGE DEAL FOR ME #i’m just so proud of myself yall and i need to brag #TO BE CLEAR i’m not becoming a carb counting health nut here i still eat the same exact stuff with the exception of less sugar #and i don’t intend to ever change that. i love food and flavor too much lawl! i’m just trying to also absorb nutrients and stay active 🫶

Hello! I was curious to see just how long we'll have to wait for Side Order, so I looked up the day that Spring 2024 starts (March 19th) and the day it ends (June 20th) for the very least and very most amount of days to wait for it. That's ignoring the possibility of delays, of course. This is how I will be calculating countdowns until we get a firm release date.

UPDATE: We got a firm release date!!! February 22nd, 2024!!

Scheduled countdowns should be posted at Noon; 12:30 PM EST, but may be posted at other times due to various circumstances (me forgetting or something like that.)

In the meantime, I'll reblog various theories, art posts, and news relating to Splatoon, especially Side Order. If you'd only like the see the countdown, I've included a list of tags and what they correspond to under the cut. Also, feel free to send asks talking about Side Order! I love to theorize and discuss all things Splatoon!
