That was weird… Nin’Tal, the walking, emotionless human that became the entity known as The Codex just came up to you and gave you a memory freshly plucked from some farm near the Bimburg. The scary thing, the literal blank slate that is their face seemed excited, maybe? That is as unusual as it is impossible. Elims like The Codex should not be able to feel emotion. Maybe The Codex knew whatever is on the memory from their past life and this ‘excitement’ is nothing but a reflex. You decide to investigate the paper holding the memory fragment.

This paper begins with a series of pictures playing short videos. You are still trying to work out how The Codex creates moving pictures on paper. The first picture shows a small boy with simple clothes and brown, curly hair running after a small six-legged creature with brown fur. The point of view seems to watch from up in the trees. They are running through a pine forest commonly found in temperate climates. A line under the picture reads: “Little ones.” The next picture shows a static creeping in after which the person who is watching the two turns away from them and everything is a blur. Suddenly as the dust settles, you see the industrial layer of Mydura. You can almost smell the oils and metals coming through the picture, hear the hustle and bustle. These pictures are vivid. Did this creature just travel there in no time at all? The lower part of the picture is blocked with some kind of pipe. A kind looking man enters the frame and takes the pipe that now looks like some intricate part of a machine from the creature whose point of view you are inhabiting. The creature seems small and you reckon it had to hold the pipe in its mouth. The next picture shows a static in a hue that reminds you of the warmth of the Golden Months and the smell of The Blooming. It feels good. Another blur of motion and you see the creature flying above the pine trees from before. A castle thrones in the distance. It is heavily damaged, small holes puncture it everywhere, almost like hundreds of cannons once fired at this castle. The creature accelerates towards the castle and rushes straight at it, breaking through the roof and into a foyer. The creature looks up at the little six-legged Botsch and the little two-legged human running towards a room in the back of the castle. Underneath the picture is written: “They wanted to visit me? Supergreatilicious!” The next picture shows the creature accelerating towards the two, passing them and standing in the room the furthest in the back. The room in the back is a fortress of comfyness within a fortress of stone. Pillows stacked high in piles of all colors that the world can offer. The creature looks back at the two who entered the castle. They are currently flying towards the creature who has knocked up such a strong gust that the two were knocked off their feet and now carried into the pillows at break-neck speeds. Another line under the picture: “Oh, oops. At least pillows are pillowy.” The creature turns around and sees the two dazed, embedded deep in life-saving plush. The six-legged creature landed close to a mirror, you notice. Within the mirror, you can finally see the creature. It is standing on four legs and has short, golden fur. It has a long snout and floppy ears. It wears a constant stupid smile and barks once. A line reads: “Hi, friends. Wanna play?”

You look up from the paper. So that was a memory of Bim, the small, furry lord of the Bimburg and probably the strongest creature alive. No wonder, as the sole voice of Aralez. You heard of the Burg being absolutely destroyed by Bim before handy craftsmen arrived to help repair it again and again. Nin’Tal was excited about this one, and Bim is almost as mystical as them. Maybe you will be able to find out a bit about Nin’Tal if you get more of this string of memories. You decide to open up a new compartment and name it after the well-known folk tale that revolves around Bim. Maybe here, you can get some extra infos about it. You put the label at the compartment.
