Dog Man the Manga Profiles Ep 12: Riley/Lord Evil/The Scarlet Shedder

Age: 13-14

Likes: Fighting, Bacon and Pizza (his 2 favourite foods, he eats dat shite like a vacuum), Dog Man and the others. (After volume 6)

Dislikes: Dog Man and the others (Before volume 6, back when he was still a villain) Taking a brutal beating, when someone damages his pride. (Bro is like Vegeta)

Bio: He was a simple villain in Volume 1 and 2. In volume 3, be sent Dog Man and the others to a prison he calls, The Void of Evil. And the hero’s were only in the void for a month, but one month was enough time for Lord Evil to become Emperor of the city. Riley remained as a vile emperor before his reign of Terror finally came to an end in volume 5. At the beginning of Volume 6, he as well as Ralph and the Fleas (who were still loyal to him) were broken out of jail again by Dr Scum, and somehow while in jail, Dr Scum had built a new base for Riley. (Which was up in space) However, Dr Scum turned on Riley, to the point where Riley was forced to team up with Dog Man and the others to defeat him. In the fight, Riley realised that if he can’t control the world, then he might as well save it. (Beginning his redemption) After he and Dog Man had a full on battle with Dr Scum in the vacuum of space (don’t ask how Dog Man and Riley were breathing in space, they were in an intense state of power in the fight), Riley used up all of his power, and fell down to earth. Dog Man tried to save him, but Riley chose to fall to his death. But Riley did survive the fall back down to earth. But when he was found alive by Lil Petey and Molly in volume 7, it was revealed that Riley had an intense case of amnesia. He did get his memory back at the end of volume 7 after defeating Dr Scum again. But while he was permanently a Good Guy now, his arrogance was still the same. This was shown in volume 8, when he fought he could take on Supa Mecha Philly. (Who Dr Scum had revived in volume 8) But it took Riley entering his Full Power again to kill Philly. But in Volume 10, Riley’s hair had grown longer, show that he was getting older. (And he had matured a lot) Since Dog Man, Lil Petey, and 80HD don’t lose their original SuperHero outfits, Riley takes the role of The Scarlet Shedder. And Riley is still a relevant character in Dog Man the Manga.

Ok to by honest, I was really excited to cover Riley, because he is basically me, but built different. (Mostly built as an young blonde human Vegeta) so yeah. I will release the review of Dog Man the Manga Voulme 2 in a bit. So stay tuned for that, as it will return a one off character from the Dog Man book 1. Sayonara.

Where to Pre-Order Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder in the Philippines

Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder by Dav Pilkey will be released next week worldwide (while Australians will get the book on April 1st, no joke!). If you're from the Philippines like myself, the book is open for pre-orders at Fully Booked Bookstore.

You can now pre-order the book online at their official website: https://www.fullybookedonline.com/book-juvenile-fiction-comics-graphic-novels-the-scarlet-shedder-a-graphic-novel-dog-man-book-12-hardcover-by-dav-pilkey.html. I haven't experienced pre-ordering the book from their online website and its process, but might cause delays especially religious holidays are coming up.

Another way to pre-order is to contact or visit your nearest Fully Booked branch. You can leave details that you're reserving Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder on its release week or later and you will return there to get the book once it's there or have it delivered.

Will there be release week freebies? No word from Fully Booked or Scholastic Asia yet. When I bought Cat Kid Comic Club: Influencers at my nearest Fully Booked branch on Day 1, the staff gave me Melvin's Magazine at my surprise. I don't know if the bonus is gonna be Power Up Magazine, which is also an exclusive indie bookstore freebie on the release week.

So uhh yeah, my newest theory.

I made it a few days ago, and I just saw a new sneak peek a while after, and it's SO far off, but uhm, I hope this clears a few things up and that both theories will at least align with SOMETHING.

Maybe I'll even make another new theory, I dunno.
