What they would say to their bratty girlfriend
Tumblr media
Zoro
Tumblr media
“If you wanna keep being a brat, s’fine with me. I’ll deal with you later.” Then he continues to work out. And trust me, he handled that later.
Crocodile
Tumblr media
He would just light his cigar and continue to grunt in disapproval. He would be hawk eyeing you and not in a damn good way. The look in his eyes spells you fucked up.
Law
Tumblr media
“I’ll give the attention you need but you aren’t getting it acting like that.”
Kid??
Tumblr media
Kid would get annoyed. “ugh, You bein’ a whiny little baby again?”
Doflamingo
Tumblr media
He would laugh and then get serious. “I give you everything you want, and this is how you act.” He called you a naughty girl because you kept up your antics. “You’re aching for my touch. Aren’t you?” He’d say right before he fixed that attitude.

Donquixote Doflamingo x Reader His Type
Master List
this kinda got away from me lol, it's also messy, Nsfw part warning I marked it tho no worries, the kinda trigger warnings that accompany Doffy apply but not all of them, also blood and death not Doffy or reader..... ish. as always please tell me if you find any mistakes and to address my hiatus I got sick then busy then sick again it was a rough ride lol
Tumblr media
Feisty, headstrong, bratty, Loyal, obedient, smart, supportive, sympathetic, insane.
SFW AKA FLUFFY
He likes how loyal you are to him, how nothing and no one will make you betray him, how you’d defy the whole world for him and how you’d die for him.    He likes that you’re not with him because he’s a god or king, not because of his wealth or influence, not because he’s strong or a conqueror, you love his strength yes, but you love more than just that, you love all of him.
He likes how nice you are to him, how you always listen to him and how you help him, how you don’t pity him for what happened but your reaction is just sadness because he suffered, it’s out of your pure feelings of love towards him which baffled him for a long time when he found out after he was done suspecting you had ulterior motives.    It takes him a while to get used to this and accept it, especially how you encourage him to open up and that it’s not weakness to have problems and it’s part of being alive, how he can be vulnerable with you without consequences.    If he just wants to talk, you’ll listen attentively and it doesn’t matter how long after if he brings it up again you’ll remember everything, if he wants feedback you’ll give him feedback and advice.    He’s conflicted because you taught him it’s OK to be vulnerable and show weakness to you, that he doesn’t have to be strong the whole time, especially that he wanted to portray himself as strong for you to show he can protect you and that he’s the best, that you won’t find anyone like him, so you don’t ever leave him, you assure him you won’t ever leave and he believes you.   Your love for him persists even tho you know he’s not as strong as he portrays himself, and that he has these *human* feelings, how he’s still tortured by nightmares of his past, how sleep escapes him on many nights and when he does sleep he almost always jolts awake in terror struggling to calm his heartbeat and control his breathing, how when that happens you don’t comment on it and just drag him into your arms and never acknowledge the nightmare waiting for him to do it when he’s ready, how you stop him from drowning out the terror with alcohol and give him an alternative, talking about random things asking about what he’s going to do tomorrow even tho you know his schedule or even read to him or tell him a story, but you never judge him no  matter what you never look at him any less and never leave or betray him.   How you still look at him with the same admiration and love you always did and even more, he questions if you’re sound of mind to be so genuinely in love with someone like him, he knows his flaws and wonders if you don’t, he asks you once and you just tell him that you know and acknowledge his flaws and you love him, flaws and all.
He realizes how much he loves you and that scared him, he avoided you for a couple of days till you basically pursued him and sat him down to talk asking if something was troubling him and if it's you, he doesn't confess outright but he makes it very clear, and he's thankful for your perceptiveness because he didn't have to say it for you to understand how he feels and how confessing won't be easy at least for a while.
In the end he hates that you're loyal and love him enough that you're willing to die for him, he doesn't want to lose you, just thinking about it puts him in pain.
NSFW
He likes his toys obedient and serving, however if you want to be more than just a toy you have to have your own sense of self and not just a mindless fool, he likes feisty and bratty, he likes his partner to have her own sense of self while still being loyal to him, he likes someone who has their own thoughts however if you always question him that’ll annoy him, there’s a delicate balance, he also likes it when you tease him and are bratty, there’s nothing he enjoys more than punishing your teasing till you’re begging for more or for him to slow down depending on which way he decided to punish you either way in the end he’ll be fucking the brat out of you till you can no longer think.    His queen can be as bratty as she wants, and she gets everything she wants, however all actions have consequences, the brattier you are the more he’ll punish you, his punishments are pure blissful torture.    Nothing turns him on more than seeing you be sadistic, killing enemies brutally? Turns him on, getting covered in blood in the process? Sends shivers down his spine and straight to his cock, torturing a traitor or enemy for information? He knows for a fact that you're secretly watching him and can see his straining boner especially when you throw him a knowing glance and smiling teasingly while standing over the poor soul that’s suffering, same goes for you for all the above, especially when he uses his devil fruit how the strings can be so dangerous and sharp enough to cut through anything but he has enough control that he can make them dull enough that he can use them on you without leaving a single cut or a few scratches if he wishes, licking your blood also turns him on.    When you bite him during sex, that’s a privilege held by no other, he discovered he liked it when he was fucking you hard in an empty hallway in some base of an underworld dealer he was making a deal with and got bored and annoyed so during a break, he dragged you with him to an empty hallway pinned you to the wall and told you to be quiet as he quickly pulled down your pants and his fingers found your wetness you lack of panties and being already wet wasn’t lost on him, soon enough he was balls deep inside you while you muffled your moans by burying your face in his neck, his shirt jacket and coat having already been discarded at this point, he never slowed down even as you both heard voices going up and down the other hallways, as you felt yourself about to come you clung harder to him while he encouraged you and also teased you that you’ll get caught if you’re too loud, you came hard and instinctively bit down on his shoulder so hard you drew blood, the sudden unexpected feeling made him follow you emptying himself inside you, quickly realizing what you did you went to apologize but before a word left you, you heard him laughing quietly in your ear, looking at you with that usual grin was an immediate relief what he said next shocked you “so my feisty kitten likes to bite fufufufu ...I’ll keep that in mind for later tonight” he finished his sentence by kissing your red stained lips tasting his blood on them, good news is his clothes covered your handiwork and yours covered his, otherwise everyone would have known what went down a few feet away from them

I think a very normal amount about Crocodile and Mihawk genuinely seeing Buggy's value. Genuinely appreciating his dream and his sense of adventure. Mihawk (bored-to-death swordsman who desperately needs something new) and Crocodile (the man who only cares about business because the last time he wanted something a kid with flip-flops sent him flying) seeing that the clown they're only using as bait and punching bag is actually the one with the biggest pirate heart. They realize he has charisma and followers for a reason and it's the fact that his "fake it til you make it" persona is actually built above his true dream. The words of fake confidence he speaks are actually words he genuinely wants to believe, but always fears will backfire because he doesn't have anything to rely on (unlike Shanks. Because even if Shanks doesn't need to rely on anything, he used to wear the trust and love of their captain in his head and everyone else supported him to be his legacy). So they end up seeing that they can do more with him. Together. Mihawk and Crocodile might have the money and the people but Buggy has the dream. They can go higher. They can be more than what they thought they were. Buggy shows them this side of himself between tears and sudden yelling and they have to admit that... They used to have dreams. Long forgotten ones. And okay, Buggy might not be the king of the pirates. They're so not saying that. But they can go higher.
They see this side of him and they never say it out loud (and even if they did, Buggy wouldn't even notice because he's busy begging them not to kill him. Which, y'know, fair) but something changes inside of them. Perhaps it's a faint, tiny sense of protectiveness. Maybe affection. Some type of appreciation they can't quite name because it would be too embarrassing for them to even say they care for this clown but- But it's there. Something.
So they keep Buggy around and he starts to feel less like a punching bag and more like somebody they care about. Kind of. And you know what? Maybe the damn clown can become the king of the pirates if he has already made the impossible happen once.

Tumblr media
3 Years before Dressrosa is overthrown by the Straw hats and Law.
“You want to go to a restaurant in the East Blue?” Doflamingo sat comfortably by the poolside, one arm around his dove who held a newspaper in her hand.
“It’s making a lot of news, the chefs can battle!” Maria kicked her feet absentmindedly while looking at the paper. He owed her, after all it’s not easy being forced from luxury to learn Haki. “You owe me Doffy, our anniversary is around the bend and you are working me to the bone.” Maria during the 7 years since being saved had rarely left Dressrosa and when she did Doflamingo was always with her. Within the past year Doflamingo had been extraordinarily busy setting up a very lucrative deal with one of the four emperors of the sea Kaidou of the beasts and mad scientist Caesar Clown. While this was wonderful for the pockets as well as influence, having to answer to an emperor of the sea changed Doflamingo’s attitude of Maria being completely helpless in a fight. The idea he could swoop in and save her used to be the plan but he couldn’t take a risk like that now with his new business partner.
“I owe you?” He chuckled, she had gotten more bold with him too, the comfort of luxury spoiling her once more, of course by design. “Pretty sure you still owe me sweetheart.” He lifted her chin from the paper to be greeted with gentle flushed cheeks and a cheeky little smile.
“Well how about this.” She put the paper down, crawling into his lap, her hands on his chest. “You take me to the East Blue for this restaurant.” She let her delicate fingers slide downwards and effortlessly remove his belt. “And I’ll do you a few favors.” Her hand snaked under his pants. His typical shit-eating grin on his face. While from her perspective he understood the bargain, at the end of the day she was his and would do as he would say, bribing him with what he already had was hopeless.
“Behave Dove, we have the family around.” Maria scoffed slightly, that never stopped them before, it was awkward and embarrassing at first but by now Maria was his plaything when he wanted no matter what.
“That never stopped us before.” She lightly nipped his neck before his hand firmly grabbed her face to look at him. Her gentle love was still there, sometimes he had to work it out of her bratty exterior other times it was like their first time all over.
“Dove.” His voice hovered in her ears causing her to shutter and drool ever so slightly. “How about you ask nicely for the things you want, or do I have to teach you that lesson again?” He squeezed her neck slightly, hitching her breath. She shook her head, she knew her place. His hand released as she fixed his belt. “Good girl, now what did you want to do?”
“I-I’d like to go on a date with you at the Baratie in the East Blue Doffy.” She wrapped her arms around his neck nuzzling him. That’s what he needed from her, that sweet little bird that she was.
“I’ll make arrangements but.” She hated the sound of that. “You owe me for letting you off Dressrosa, we’re going so far too you owe me big.” He had a large smirk plastered to his face as she puffed her cheeks.
“Fineeee.” She caved, even when she owed him it felt so good to repay him.
Tumblr media
The trip to the East Blue was a bit of a long one, the crew had to sail from the New World, under the Red Line and then past the Calm Belt in Paradise. Of course Doflamingo made a few business stops along the way, whether it be Punk Hazard to check in with Caesar or Sabaody for the auction house; much to the dismay of Maria. By the time the two had arrived in the East Blue it’d had been nearly a month of sailing and Maria had certainly missed the comforts of Dressrosa much to Doflamingo’s amusement as she requested this trip, he used this often as ammunition during their little games of chicken. Finally they saw their destination, a decently sized ship with a large sign labeled Baratie. Once anchored along the ship’s extendable dock the two made their way aboard.
“Doffy come onnnn! It’s been far too long on that ship!” Maria was quick to hop off the ship before Doflamingo used his strings to yoink her back to his side.
“I told you to get off at Sabaody didn’t I?” He then leaned into her ear. “Do I need to use your leash again, Dove?” He entangled his fingers in her hair as he spoke, giving a small tug causing Maria to have her face turn red and bite her lip.
“N-No I’ll behave Doffy.” She mumbled garnering a chuckle. He let her go and she stayed by him as the two made their way into the main entrance where a host was waiting.
“Reservation?” The host looked up at Doflamingo staring at him in the lenses, they were used to pirates and top navy coming in, a warlord didn’t scare him.
“Donquixote Doflamingo and Donquixote Maria.” It sent a special shiver when he used her name like that, even if they had been together for so long, it still pinged in her chest like she was a little girl.
“Right this way.” The host may have been used to this kind of company but the guest oh goodness no. These two pink birds very much garnered stares as they sat down. “Your server will be with you shortly.” The simple candle light, the round booth. It was very comfortable.
“One of everything, right?” Maria already knew, when they went out to eat, especially this far the whole menu had to be sampled, she and him had the appetite.
“You aren’t dragging me out all this way for one serving.” He leaned back, spreading his legs under the table and arms along the booth, while she sat rather conservatively waiting for their server.
“You brat! Serving duty!” A middle aged man shouted from the kitchen and a plate smashing into pieces accompanied a young blond man with hair over his left eye leaving the kitchen. He huffed before spotting a rather beautiful young lady sitting at a booth with a large very tacky fellow, he may as well have teleported to them with how fast he made his way over to them.
“Well what’s a beautiful woman like yourself doing here?” He swooned. “Can I get you anything started?” Maria simply giggled, noticing a vein pop out in her lover's forehead.
“ We will have one of everything.” Doflamingo, using his strings, pulled Maria to his side. Glaring from beneath his glasses.
“Is that so big bird?” The blond remarked snarkily as he wrote that down on a notepad. Doflamingo was ready to pounce as Maria placed a hand on his leg.
“It is.” Maria jumped in to tame the rapidly growing sparks.
“Whatever you say beautiful.” With that he was off to the kitchen. Doflamingo snapped his fingers while another server approached them.
“Who is that irritating pest serving us?” Doflamingo was gritting his teeth in annoyance while Maria did her best to calm him down.
“That is our sous-chef Sanji. He’s a handful when it comes to women, you’re not the only married guy he’s tried to swoop in and out do.”
“Sounds like a rather profound fellow.” Maria spoke before Doflamingo could create some sort of trouble.
“He’ll likely be preparing your food since he noticed you.” The server pointed to Maria. “An attempt to impress you I’m sure.” Doflamingo began to tap his finger, sending the server away.
“You know I’m yours right Doffy?” She crawled into his lap once more caressing his face, just like her he had his moments. “Forever and always at the service of my god.” She began planting little kisses on him. “You are my everything. I wouldn't dare leave you for trash.” She was pulled forcefully into a kiss, Doflamingo's tongue and lips taking control. By the time Maria managed to pull away Sanji had brought out their food.
“Lunch is served.-” His jaw dropped as he saw the two separate, a smirk plastered on Doflamingo’s face as if he was flaunting and challenging Sanji. Meanwhile Maria’s face was beat red and she was panting desperately for any sort of air.
“Why don’t you thank the kind sous-chef Dove?” He chuckled under his breath as Maria looked over, swallowing air the best she could.
“T-thanks sous-chef Sanji.” She managed through her struggling breathing. While hearing his name come from such a lovely woman sent Sanji firing off to the kitchen with a nose bleed, Doflamingo began to feed Maria much to her embarrassment. “Doffy what are you doing?”
“Why don’t we play a little game.” Doflamingo undid his belt and slipped down his bottoms allowing Maria to press against his primed and ready body. “You better not let anyone know my Dove or else we won’t finish our meal.” Maria couldn’t get any redder or wetter if she tried, with a little struggle she managed to expose herself down below for him. She slowly pressed up and down as much as she could without giving away her real actions. “Stop biting that lip, how else are you gonna eat?” Her teeth let go of her bottom lip and quickly bit down on the fork as he thrust up, muffling her noise just in time.
Maria could hardly stand that she had to control herself here. In Dressrosa it didn’t matter when or where if he wanted her he got her. She could let the whole kingdom know who was pleasing her but here she couldn’t do a damn thing but stifle her moans and whine.
“Poor helpless Dove.” He knew what he was doing, nothing drove her more wild, his smugness, he knew all her buttons and just when to play them to make her break every time. Maria continued her best to eat the first round of food while staying quiet, Doflamingo was doing just fine, relaxing as he consumed food and the pleasure of her grinding on him. “Here comes the next round Dove hold on.” He then put a large serving of food in her mouth as he snuck himself inside. He hissed a little as she squeezed around him and gripped onto his wrist. Sanji looked a little concerned as he set their next helping on the table taking away the dirties.
“Is she alright?” He could never let a lady be in distress, but little did he know just how opposite of that she was.
“She’s a real foodie, she must adore your cooking.” He waved Sanji off who was practically ready to fire off to the moon at that idea. Maria managed to swallow and attempted to reach for her water only to shift him inside causing her to cup her mouth. “You thirsty girl?” He did a few small thrusts while she turned her head nodding. “What’s the magic word?”
Oh you ass. Maria let out a minor whine begging to not have to uncover her mouth as he continued his small pumps into her.
“I can’t help you if you don’t use your manners.”
“P-pleaseee Doffy, I-I need water.” He pins her down with his left hand while his right grabs her glass for her, his shifting grazing her bud, making her squeeze her thighs together on him. She took the glass once he stopped moving, having a few sips before setting it down without shifting him. She then opened her mouth signaling she was ready for more food. He fed her and with every bite she took he gave a small thrust, while he managed through clenched teeth, she struggled to conceal her pleasure as she continued eating what was some of if not the best food of her life all while being stuffed full in more than one way.
Her right knee twitching signaled to Doflamingo her oncoming orgasm. He bit the lobe of her ear to grab her attention.
“Once the chef comes back I’ll check how many more rounds we have.” Maria nodded as she had her face stuffed to muffle the waves of pleasure that were rising and crashing down. He wouldn’t dare let her just sit it out, so every crash was accompanied with a special thrust from him. She was sweating a little from having to eat and contain her noises, her face redder than any pasta sauce as Sanji returned.
“Just this and dessert are left…” His voice trailed off as he saw her face, something felt off but Doflamingo swooped in to save his Dove the embarrassment of having to ratted out for needing her Doffy in a eatery.
“You’re just a spectacular chef.” Maria nodded rapidly as she shakily grabbed her water. “We look forward to dessert.” Sanji darted back into the kitchen to prepare dessert for this lady, no woman had reacted this way when he cooked, perhaps she’d be proof to Zeff he was ready to be head chef.
“D-Doffy…” She muttered and he knew exactly what she wanted with that. “P-please fill me.” She yipped slightly as he sneaked his hand under her shirt gripping her softer and plush tummy from years of being spoiled.
“Are you not gonna be so full of food?” She whined and pouted until he thrusted causing her to eat once more. “That doesn’t answer my question Dove.” His hips pulled out making her whine again this time much more pathetically.
“Doffy you know what I mean!” Her voice raised, causing him to half stifle a laugh much to her embarrassment.
“Keep your voice down, you do want me to stuff you don’t you?” He inserted himself once more watching as Maria’s eyes rolled back and she nodded. “I’ll fill you nice and full but.” Not the dreaded but again. “You need to wait to finish till I’m ready.” Maria whined this was unfair, the way he could stretch and fill her needing body was almost like cheating. “I thought you could handle it, you are a big girl aren’t you Dove?” His hand slid down out of her shirt and trailed to her heat, lightly tapping her bud, getting little trembles and whines.
“I-I can… I can handle it, Doffy.” That was his girl and he lifted his other hand to feed her once more as his finger circled her tender bud, enlisting little jolts and twitches and high pitched muffled moans of pleasure along with his name; much to his delight as she warmed him, clenching tightly around him. They made quick work of the final course, Maria having to come down from incredible highs multiple times reminding herself of her reward had she behaved.
“Here is dessert beautiful.” Sanji set dessert and looked at the woman across from him. She was an utter mess, her hair was in disarray and spread over the booth and her lover behind her, chest was heaving, she was dripping with sweat and this was all in reaction to his food. He couldn’t believe his food did this to a woman, his nose poured blood as he darted to the bathroom to clean up.
“Look at that, you’re finally at the end, just a few more treats and then you’ll be nice and full.” She felt him twitch inside her, sending a ripple up her body. Dessert was much less focused on eating as it was only a few slices. Maria had to do most of the work this round, moving up and down slowly to start. “Faster now.” Maria looked over, hair in her face.
“I-I’ll make noise if I go how you want Doffy.” She felt her hair tug as he pulled her ear close to his mouth, eliciting a light moan to finally escape properly.
“I don’t care, dessert is right there waiting for you. Go on and take it.” Maria felt her heart pounding out of her chest as she did as told, gentle plaps began to come from the two’s booth which if you only listened would be precarious but if you were watching, Doflamingo was tapping a dessert jello to her rhythm inconspicuously as he fed her another dessert, just don’t look to closely at Maria’s rapid rising and sinking in his lap. Each journey down sent sparks through Maria’s throbbing cunt, so desperate for the end, her body shivered as she felt a dribble of his pre-cum, both so close.
“Doffy may I?” She barely managed out through her muffled moans and heavy breaths, all that was left on the table was the jello.
“Go on Dove, I’m right here.” He quickly took some of her hair and held it up to his mouth as she stopped caring about being in public and just slammed herself onto him like her life depended on it. He felt her desperate squeezes trying to milk him, her twitching as she began to surf the waves of pleasure he had sent her on. She nearly falls forward onto the table as she feels his warm ropes shoot into her, luckily he stops her with a tug of her hair making her fall back onto his rising chest.
The two sat catching their breath as Sanji approached once more.
“We’ll need to take that jello to go chef.” Doflamingo’s breathy voice stated from behind Maria’s hair.
“Yeah? And as for the payment.” Sanji looked a little pale in the face as he only looked with the corner of his eye, one more sight at that woman and he may die of blood loss.
“Don’t worry I have the money.” Doflamingo tossed a sizable pouch of berries on the table. “Keep the change, we’ll be back sometime.” Sanji left temporarily, granting Maria time to wobble off Doflamingo and fix her shorts, while he buckled his pants back up.
“D-Doffy I don’t know if I can walk…” Maria whined looking towards her love. He chuckled once more, petting her hair.
“I’ll carry you Dove, don’t worry.” He cooed while picking her up and planting a kiss on her forehead. She had earned it for finding such a wonderful restaurant for their anniversary.

This drabble is part of my summer celebration collection! Prompt: Cocktails Characters featured: Doflamingo (One Piece), 2nd person GN Reader Requested by: @opopnomi/@hellandcupcakes [a/n] Cw: mentions of alcohol, reader is implied to drink
Tumblr media
Despite being a pirate, Doflamingo never drank much alcohol. Not because he couldn’t hold his liquor, but mostly because he was never one for elaborate parties and copious amounts of sake. He preferred his mind clear, his reflexes sharp. His position by now was pretty solidified, but it never hurt to be vigilant.
But every once in a while, he’d indulge in it, mostly for your sake as well. He’d have some nice cocktails prepared, accompanied by some fresh fruits, the ideal summertime unwinding combination.
These were the good times, the quality times. Sitting together, lounging under the hot Dressrosa sun, he’d let you talk. Quality time, where he’d indulge you in whatever stories you wanted to tell. He was a surprisingly good listener, and always interested in the shenanigans you got up to while he fulfilled his warlord duties. An arm around your shoulder, a drink in his hand. You’d lean against him and feel his chest reverberate with his laughter whenever you told a particularly interesting or funny story. And in those moments, you were truly at peace. No matter what was going on in the seas around you.

Could we get some tk headcanons for Doflamingo, smug bastard needs to be brought down a peg (but also he makes my lee mood go brrr)
Donquixote Doflamingo Tickle Headcanons
Tumblr media
A/N: Thank you for the One Piece request! I do enjoy Doffy and looking into his character, although I prefer his brother, his mischievous personality was always fun to play around with! His character is unique, and while I have a favoritism to another warlord, MAN DOES DOFLAMINGO MAKE A GOOD CHARACTER AND VILLAIN. I will say due to my bias loving to Corazon, Doffy will have a few HCs relating to him. But gotta love Doffy. Thank you for the request!
• Doflamingo is always going to be mischievous, so of course tickles aren’t quite abnormal. Especially with his family/crew.
• He enjoys randomly shooting out strings and then dragging his ‘victims’ as he calls them, over to him. Like a cowboy who lassoed a horse in.
• Doffy truly just finds it amusing to tickle people, whether it’s in passing down a hall, or full on hunting them down and tickling them.
• He’d often wiggle his fingers at people to tease them.
• However, he still finds the activity something to be more… ‘intimate’ in the sense of he’d never tickle someone unless it was someone who could be/is family to him. If someone isn’t close to him, not a chance it’d happen.
• He’d often sit all of the members of his family down just to have dinner or have bonding time due to his actual family never having those moments, however, there’s also been times where he’ll randomly pounce on them.
• Doffy, believe it or not, still has brotherly instincts. So he’ll occasionally run up behind Sugar, due to her occasionally childlike personality, and swoop her up just to tickle her in his arms. His job is to playfully bully his family, especially younger siblings.
• Speaking of Younger siblings… Corazon was often the victim of tickling from Doffy, even back as children. So Doflamingo will often think Of Rosinante when tickling people, which occasionally will make him in a bad mood. Its a 40 percent chance.
• That being said, Doffy would often give raspberries to Corazon, he’d rapidly switch where he’d tickle him up and down his torso, and so on. However, afterwards? Usually he’d end up hugging Corazon, as much as a brat and devious person Doffy is, he still loved his brother.
• Corazon however was always his favorite person to tickle due to his silly laugh and expressions, even when they both grew up he was his favorite.
• On the flip side, if his clumsy brother had a chance to, he’d get revenge on his devious big brother.
• Doflamingo’s laugh when being tickled still sounds a tad evil, but it sounds much nicer and happy and less plotting something devious.
• He’s a kicker, other than that, he doesn’t resist much. Mostly because his arms flail up and down like a bird or simply freeze due to not expecting the attack.
• He’ll often make quips like “Ohoho! You’re truhuhuly a little brahat, aren’t you? Fufufu.” And call whoever happens to be tickling him a child before dismissing it.
• RARELY one to let his crew tickle him, so most tickles he got was from his family. So he holds those memories fondly since he’s only had mostly negative experiences with his true family. At least in his eyes it’s negative.
• He’ll occasionally think of the memories and miss the simple times where him and Corazon would chase one another around to tickle one another.
• Doflamingo’s weak/worst spot would probably be his knees, and under his arms/armpits. A honorable mention would be his soles.
• Rosinante used to have to tackle him so he could actually tickle him, so he’d usually tackle him (accidentally fall on him), then make sure he would laying on his belly, just to straddle him. It made it much easier to tickle around his brother’s knees and drive him up the wall.
• Doflamingo would only let his brother get him like that, mostly because he had a bond with his little brother, always. His crew could get him, but he’d object and fight back. So Rosinante is the only one to have the joy of hearing the squeaky giggles and happy laughs escape Doffy.
• Nonetheless, as fond as those memories with tickles are to Doffy, he’d likely only give out tickles than receive them. He prefers it that way due to regrets and memories… however, if you’re lucky, he’ll allow it if he’ll get revenge afterwards.
Hopefully you enjoyed!

Cuddle session
Synopsis : How I think a cuddle session would be with the one piece men.
Masterlist
Luffy
He would legit held you hostage!especially when you guys fall asleep and you get to hot and try to move away from luffy, the man would not allow it! It would go like-
You find yourself waking up, feeling really hot. You see your boyfriend hugging you real' tight and you want to get up and drink water. Or at least put some space between you and the rubber man.
When you tried to wiggle away he kept pulling you closer. Until he finally wakes up.
"N-n no! " his raspy morning voice said pulling you closer and closer until he flips you around and cages you between his hands. Whispering in your ear
"Your staying there baby~ "
(Personally think luffy has a hot morning voice!)
Law
The man would pretend to hate it but secretly loves it! The boy would just walk up to you expecting you to know what to do.
Law just walks up to you silently, and just stands in front of you, looking down/up at you just waiting for you to do something.
And you immediately know what he wants but, wants him to say it.
"Yes law? Can I help you? " you asked innocently. " you know what I want y/n-ya." He says bluntly.
" no i do not law-chan, mind telling me what my cold and heartless boyfriend wants? " you exaggerated.
"Hug." Law mumbles. You heard it loud and clear but still wants it a bit louder. " huh? Can't hear you from all the way down here/up here! " putting a hand on your ear.
"I want a hug y/n-ya." He says a louder. " a little more louder law! " you said just pushing the man's buttons " I said I want a hug " he says raising his voice.
" yes sirrr and hug you shall receive! "
"Good."
Doflamingo
Man's an absolute menace. When he wants hugs he gets them! Would literally use his devil fruit on you!
" doll where are you? " doffy called out in search of looking for you. He knew you were hiding from him. But one wrong move he'll know where you are.
"Come out now doll. I'm still being nice. " doffy said he knew you would respond. "No! " you whisper quietly, you saw his legs getting close to were you where hiding stopping in front of it and crouching down. Closing your eyes afraid to look.
You finally had the courage to open it and to no surprise doflamingos face was right in front of you smirking knowing he won.
"Come out now lady and give me my hugs. "

I Take Care of You Now
Doflamingo x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: After a night of a heavy snow storm and rainfall on the North Blue Sea, Doflamingo gets woken up by the scraping of a snow shovel on deck.
A/N: A little short one-shot that I’ll implement into the main Red Suit Doffy Fic Merlot & Primroses but it can stand as a stand alone, too, so I decided to send it here. As I said in a post, Doflamingo’s core values he was raised with are something he sticks to. Also... I'm going to hell. I'm going to hell I'm going to hell I'm going to heeeeeeell...
but at least the Heavenly Demon is there 😊🤭🫡
P.S. I wanted to post this at 8pm it's 4pm, the Save Draft went into Post but it's complete so.... Enjoy? 🤣🤣 (I hate you, tumblr) (cry laughs)

Doflamingo is back in the snow again. The white thick layer of it crunches under his boots as he walks. There is snow falling, wild and strong, chilly wind pushing at his face.
There is someone lying on the snow. He knows who it is. The blackened feathers give him away; Doflamingo’s clumsy little brother.
At last, Doflamingo reached him. Rosinante’s lipstick-painted mouth is moving. No sound is coming out of Rosinante’s lips. Doflamingo squats down beside his brother. Maybe if he’s closer, he’ll hear the words his younger brother is saying.
Rosinante’s mouth keeps moving, shaping the words over and over again. He keeps looking at Doflamingo, but no sound is coming out.
What is he saying?
I love you?
I hate you?
I’m sorry?
Don’t touch my wife?
I’ll kill you?
Which is it?
Doflamingo should’ve learned to read lips.
Doflamingo wakes with a gasp, sitting up in his sleeping bag. His face is wet, covered in sweat, and he barely registers a yelp from Baby 5 who’d slept atop his stomach and hugged him for additional warmth during the storm falling off him and on his lap covered by the sleeping bag’s duvet.
Doflamingo realizes he’s without his sunglasses because the world isn’t tinted red. The sudden assault of colors and sunlight illuminating through the portholes makes him blink. Continuing to pant, he reaches for the white-framed sunglasses and mounts them atop the bridge of his nose.
He pants for a little longer, then swallows down. His throat feels dry. He needs to get some wine.
“Young Master?” Baby 5’s careful, hesitating voice reaches his ear. “Are you okay?”
Doflamingo puts on a smile, if not for his sake, then for Baby 5’s. He hates seeing her distraught or hurt. A child should never worry about an adult. It's the greatest disgrace.
“Just a bad dream.” he replied, huffing. “Could you get me a merlot from the wine cabinet?”
“We aren’t allowed to open the wine cabinet.” Baby 5 said, frowning.
“I’m giving you permission,” said Doflamingo. He needs wine, right now. “So go get the merlot for me.”
“Y/N-san said you shouldn’t drink that much...” Baby 5 murmured, continuing to look at him worriedly.
“Who’s the captain here, me or my sister-in-law?” he asked, chuckling. It’s rich of you to scold him on his alcohol abuse when your own husband had been a nicotine-inhaling addict. Rosinante went through one entire pack of cigarettes in a day. How on earth you wanted to kiss his brother or even marry him, Doflamingo would never know.
“You are, Young Master!”
“I don’t know…” mused Doflamingo, making a show of doubt. “Maybe I should let my sister-in-law lead…”
“She doesn’t know how to sail! Or how to be a pirate!” said Baby 5 panically.
“Is that so? I guess I’m staying as captain, then…” He gave a dramatic sigh, fighting not to burst out laughing on the spot. “Too bad, I was looking forward to retirement…”
“You’re not even old!” Baby 5 yelled.
Doflamingo laughed.
“Young Master?”
“What is it?” asked Doflamingo.
“Do you think (Y/N)-san hates living with us?” asked Baby 5.
Doflamingo blinked. Now, he knew you would rather throw yourself in the sea than say anything negative to the kids or be hateful toward them. It was one of your weaknesses he used in his favor to endear you to living with him, after all. What made Baby 5 think that, was what he wanted to know.
"Did she ever say that?” Doflamingo asked.
“No,” said Baby 5, shaking her head. “But... she gets sad a lot... and she seems to like being alone rather than with the rest of the officers.” She cast her gaze away, looking truly sad. “It reminds me of Corazón. He didn’t like hanging around any of us, either...”
Doflamingo was rather impressed. Baby 5 started truly being aware of her environment and how people act around each other. Her observation skills were getting very good for someone as young as her — even Buffalo, who was six years older than her, wasn’t this aware of people.
Doflamingo found his chest swell with pride.
“Don’t worry. Unlike with Corazón, I’m keeping a close eye on her. You forgot she’s a civilian. Civilians are terrified of pirates on instinct. All her life, she’s heard terrible stories about pirates, so of course she won’t feel safe with the officers, or Pica, Trebol, Diamante or me right away. We’re big, we fight, we kill, we rob, we torture, and we have Devil Fruit powers. Civilians run from that, because they’re powerless.”
“I forgot about that,” said Baby 5. “That she’s a civilian.”
Doflamingo laughed. “How so?”
“Because... She’s really fierce!” insisted Baby 5.
Doflamingo chuckled. “She was a marine’s wife. Of course she’s fierce. Just because she’s powerless doesn’t mean she’ll let herself be stepped on. It’s what I like about her.”
Yes. Doflamingo liked that about you very much. It turned him on. Very much. Doflamingo licked his lips.
“Why does she seem sad with me and Dellinger, too?” asked Baby 5, pouting.
“You’re orphans. You had nowhere to go, and became pirates. She pities you, because she thinks it’s unfair toward you. She’s sad because she knows that’s how cruel the world can be.”
“She pities us,” said Doflamingo, shrugging. “It’s not coming from a bad place like others do. Her pity is genuine. She doesn’t mean anything ill with it.”
“I don’t want her to pity us.” said Baby 5. “I want her to -”
“To what?” asked Doflamingo, tilting his head down to the girl, intrigued.
“To love us.” said Baby 5.
“Fufufu! She does love us. She’s just too stubborn to admit it. After all,” Doflamingo smiled. “No civilian is supposed to love pirates. That’d be treason.”
“Really?” Baby 5 asked, eyes full of hope. “She loves us?”
“Really. So don’t worry, okay?” said Doflamingo.
“Okay,” said Baby 5, her smile blooming back onto her face.
“Good girl,” he said, patting her head. “Now, go get me my merlot. And get yourself some bottled water, too.”
“Yes, sir!” chirped Baby 5.
While Baby 5 headed to the kitchen and the wine cabinet, Doflamingo cracked his neck, then got out of his pink sleeping bag. The sleeping bag beside him — where you slept last night — was empty.
He frowned. What was taking you so long in the bathroom? Maybe it was that time of the month for you. He knew there were supplies in the women’s bathroom, so he wasn’t too worried about that.
He’d give you a few more minutes before he went looking for you.
His long legs cracked as he stretched them out, same with his arms.
Baby 5 came back, carrying his bottle of wine and bottled water for herself. Doflamingo took it, undid the clasp, and chugged it down in droves, basking in the liquid pouring down his throat and into his stomach, warming up his body.
“Did you see my sister-in-law?” Doflamingo asked when he was done, bottle half empty now.
“I don’t know,” replied Baby 5 sleepily, rubbing at the crust in her eyes, giving a little yawn. “Maybe the bathroom?”
“Go wake the cook to make us breakfast and hot chocolate,” he said to Baby 5.
“Yes, sir. Um, Young Master...”
“What?”
“I think there’s someone on deck,” whispered Baby 5.
There was scraping on the deck outside. Doflamingo’s Observation Haki didn’t pick up any threat from the person. It could be a fishman or someone stranded on the island.
“It could be a Klabautermann,” said Doflamingo, chuckling. Now wouldn’t that be interesting.
“Klabautermann?” repeated Baby 5.
“It’s a legend.” Doflamingo explained. “If a ship is very loved by the crew, it develops its own spirit in the shape of a fairy.”
“Fairy?!” asked Baby 5 in excitement.
Doflamingo chuckled in confirmation, tracing his gaze over the officers and top officers strewn on the floor of the galley, counting everyone else who was present. You were the only one missing.
“A human-shaped fairy wearing a white sailor’s coat and a pair of shoes.” he explained. “It carries a small wooden hammer, because it fixes up a damaged ship. Ours isn’t damaged, though.”
At least, Doflamingo hoped it wasn’t.
“Oh,” said Baby 5. “I thought it would be a pink flamingo wearing Young Master’s sunglasses, just like the figurehead.”
Doflamingo laughed. “It could be! That’d be fun!”
“What if it’s a ghost?” she asked with slight fright; she’d heard too many ghost stories from Law and Buffalo.
Doflamingo gave Baby 5 one of his grins, the malicious ones which he knows comfort her. To Baby 5, violence equals protection.
“You think a ghost can beat me?” he asked her. “They’re free to try, fufufufufu!”
After some more coaxing and assuring her everything would be fine, Baby 5 left for the kitchen again to wake the ship cook.
Doflamingo grabbed his feather coat where it lay spread on the couch, stepping over a sleeping Gladius and Diamante.
Now, why were they all huddled up in the galley with sleeping bags?
The simple answer was bad weather.
They’d been in a heavy snow storm last night. It was Dellinger’s first heavy snow storm. He cried and ran around in a panic the entire time. He had to be grabbed three times from launching himself overboard and into the sea. Dellinger connected the sea with safety, because it was always safe for him to go into the sea; he always fled there if he was about to get scolded — it was becoming a real problem and at this point, Doflamingo was going to listen to Trebol’s advice and tie the toddler with a rope. If Dellinger went in the sea under those stormy waves yesterday, forget about pulling him out, they wouldn’t be able to find him.
For the past three years, they rarely went this far up north on their voyages, and although most of the adults of the crew were used to responding to and traveling through overbearing hail and rain, the kids were not. They were too prone to making mistakes in the novelty of navigating the waves bigger than Sea Kings despite knowing how to navigate.
The kids had been absolutely terrified.
The storm proved impossible to navigate. Doflamingo put his family and its safety above everything, he wasn’t going to risk them all because he wanted to get to the next island on time. He decided it was best to hunker down near a mountain pass to the closest island than continue to navigate through the storm.
After setting anchor on the nearby, snow-covered coast of the island, everyone had huddled down in the galley beside the largest fire stove to keep warm, bringing in sleeping bags.
Now, after putting on his black overcoat to deal with the cold outside, Doflamingo quickly opened the doors, left the cabin, and closed them just as quickly. He made his way up the stairs and to the cabin on the quarter deck, then exited out into the open winter air.
There was a person on the deck, pushing the snow down the deck and overboard into the sea.
Doflamingo nearly had a heart attack.
After a moment, he realized it wasn’t the ship’s spiritual manifestation.
It wasn’t a Klabautermann. It was you.
Doflamingo called your name. You leapt six feet high at the sound of his voice, which made him laugh. You deserved the fright; you gave him a fright first.
You turned your face up to him. Doflamingo smiled down at you.
“Hey,” you said shakily, like you weren’t out in the cold and shoveling snow from the deck. “Good morning.”
“What are you doing?” demanded Doflamingo.
You look at him like he’s asking a strange question. “I’m shoveling the deck.”
What?
“Why?” asked Doflamingo.
“Cause there’s snow on it.” you said.
For a moment, Doflamingo was so confused his brain stopped working.
Because there’s… snow?
Why on… why on earth would you be the one shoveling the snow?!
Doflamingo deployed his strings, leaving the wooden, ice-laden balcony of the quarter deck, reaching you with a single leap. He stood on his strings beside you, because he wasn’t going to walk on the solidified ice undoubtedly hiding under the layer of snow.
“You don’t do that.” said Doflamingo firmly, his thoughts racing thousand miles per hour, the cogs in his mind rushing with what could only be described as Celestial Dragon confusion. “I take care of you.”
“I’ve been doing this my whole life.” you say, shrugging.
Rosi, I’ll bring you back to life and put thirty bullets in you this time. thought Doflamingo, clenching his teeth, his jaw hurting from how hard he did it.
Doflamingo took the shovel from you easily.
“Hey!” you shouted. "I need that!"
“You don’t anymore.” said Doflamingo, crossing his arms over his chest, looking at you with the sternness of a captain. He stepped down from his string onto the deck to stand in front of you — as he suspected, there was ice under the snow. “I take care of you now.”
“Doffy -” you started, but he would have none of it.
“You’re not allowed.” said Doflamingo, because what else is he supposed to say, how else is he supposed to let you know you are too precious to do grunt work? You are not to do any grunt work, ever, for as long as Doflamingo lived and breathed. His parents would roll in their graves if they ever heard he let you do any labor, and Doflamingo experienced a full-body cringe at the mere idea of allowing you to exhaust yourself. Unforgivable. Impermissible. Therefore, not allowed.
By his words, clearly you thought he thought you incapable because you are a woman, completely misunderstanding him as you said indignantly, “I am allowed -”
“You’re too cute to be out here in the cold, querida.” said Doflamingo.
Those words momentarily rendered you mute, and you stared up at him in shock, which made you even more adorable.
“I’m doing whatever I wanna do!” you protest, and it reminds Doflamingo of a bunny stomping its little foot on the ground.
“You get inside,” says Doflamingo, ignoring your words. You could think whatever you wanted, Doflamingo would rather put a sea prism bullet in his own leg than let you freeze outside and let you shovel the deck; he had Buffalo, Machvise and the others for that. Doflamingo wasn’t raised to allow you to do such things; he was raised to coddle you, provide for you, protect you, spoil you, and by his title as saint, he will. “I’ll get you some hot chocolate.”
The ship swayed under a wave, giving a small lurch.
The two of you slid on the solidified ice the deck had become overnight. It was only Doflamingo’s instincts and long arm that helped him grab onto you and pull you to his legs, keeping you from falling. You were completely unaffected, most likely used to such fumbling with Corazón — you didn’t even squawk in alarm, just took it like it was a common thing, to slide on the ice and risk falling and hurting yourself.
That was it. You weren’t listening to him. You were going to get a cold, and with your average civilian balance, break your skull. Time to change tactics.
“You made me do this,” said Doflamingo, sneering down at you.
“Do wha — AAAAH!”
Doflamingo reached down, wrapped his arm around your body, and lifted you up. Once he lifts you above his waist, and continues lifting you higher, that’s when you give an almighty, terrified shriek which startles the seagulls above the crow’s nest.
Doflamingo laughed, and put you stomach flat over his right shoulder, like he would a bag of gold, but you are a much more precious treasure he has than any gold.
There. Much easier. He should’ve done this from the start. Maybe he should carry you like this all the time. He smiled at the idea. Yes. That’s what he’ll do. You wouldn’t try to wiggle out of his grasp if he carried you this high; you’re too scared of hurting yourself by the huge height drop between his shoulder and the ground.
He straightened up, deployed his strings, and stepped onto them, walking on them rather than risk it with the ice.
“Doffy.” Your voice was shaky, terrified and breathless. Doflamingo failed to stifle his laugh. How adorable. “Doffy, put me down.”
You clutched at his spiked up, thick fluffs of hair. He sighed contently at the feeling, his chuckle rumbling through his chest as he grinned.
“Doffy! Put me down!”
“You’re not allowed!” he said firmly, but calmly all the same. He wasn’t angry, just concerned.
“Because I’m a woman?” you asked.
“No,” said Doflamingo simply. “Because I take care of you now.”
“I take care of myself!” you say indignantly as you’re being carried away on Doflamingo’s shoulder and back toward the warmth of the ship’s below deck with warm heating, comforting sweat and frosted, fogged glass.
He really needs to make sure with Diamante and Machvise the Numancia didn’t take any damage.
Doflamingo hears a giggle in his ear. He recognizes the sound, from a far-away memory long gone. He whips his head over his shoulder, and freezes solid.
“Don’t worry, Doffy.” said the little boy with blond bangs covering his eyes. He was sitting atop one of the posts of the sail, his arms tucked into the sleeves of a little purple feather coat over his light blue raincoat. He’s swinging his little feet back and forth where they dangle in the air from the sail. Something strange wells in Doflamingo’s eyes. His throat clogs up; he can’t speak.
The little boy sent him a big smile resembling the sun. “I’m okay.”
Doflamingo was hallucinating. He was definitely hallucinating. He needed to catch up on his sleep if he was seeing his eight-year-old baby brother and hearing his voice in his ear.
He headed inside, ducking as he went.
Baby 5 was tucked in his pink sleeping bag, back to sleep. The duvet wasn’t pulled all the way over her, so Doflamingo used his free right arm and lifted his finger, sending out a string to the duvet, lifting it up to cover Baby 5’s shoulders. Doflamingo hoped she at least woke up the cooks and that they started on breakfast and hot chocolate for the family. Doflamingo manoeuvred around the sleeping bodies of his family, stepping over their sleeping bodies easily.
In the end, you settled down after he put you on the couch in the galley. He noticed your chattering teeth, trembling body and red nose. He clicked his tongue in disapproval, took off his feather coat and draped the massive weight of it over your shoulders. The pink feathers completely enveloped you, tickling your cheeks as you looked up at him in surprise, the warmth the feathers suffused you in chasing away your trembles.
Doflamingo didn’t linger on the way you looked up at him, bundled in his feather coat and drowning in his scent, because he was sure he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from leaning down and kissing your lips to chase away the cold frost from them, too.
Instead, he slipped your arms into the thick, warm fluff of pink feathered sleeves, pulling the lapels over each other to keep you warm.
The sleeves were too long for you, and the end of the coat touched the ground of the cabin.
He went to get you both some hot chocolate and brought it to you to sip on in warm cups. The blissed smile you smiled and the relaxed sigh you released after your first sip of the hot beverage put him in a better mood.
He settled himself beside you on the couch with his pink mug filled with his hot chocolate. His thigh touched yours. This time, you didn’t inch away from him as you usually did when he sat down beside you during meals or in inns.
Doflamingo would much rather have your lips to keep him warm, but he’d settle for hot chocolate. For now.
He took a careful sip, and his body relaxed. He closed his eyes, basking in the bliss, his forehead smooth, free of any stress.
Feathers settled around his left shoulder, and his left sleeve fell over his arm.
When he turned to look down on you, a teasing comment on his tongue and a grin on his lips, you were looking up at him, and your eyes rendered his thoughts into a disarray.
“So you aren’t cold,” you said, lifting your arm high and stretching it all the way to adjust the left side of his coat atop his shoulder, which consequently meant you got closer to him, until your left shoulder leaned against his chest; if you leaned a bit further, you’d be nestled under his right arm.
“How do you walk with this?” you ask him, fussing over the coat. “It’s heavy.”
“It’s only nine kilograms.” he said. It was a comforting weight on his back; he was used to having it draped over his shoulders.
You deadpan at him, then, after a moment, say, “No wonder your neck’s starting to crane.”
“Drink your hot chocolate,” he said.
You snickered. “Yes, captain.”
You hugged the right part of his feather coat to yourself, draping it over you, covering your legs and entire body in the pink feathers. Doflamingo wondered if you liked the lingering scent of his cologne on the coat.
“It’s warm,” you whispered, closing your eyes, peaceful.
Doflamingo slipped his left arm into the sleeve of his feather coat, draping the front of it the same way you did. The two of you were swathed together in his pink coat.
You were right. With you nestled against him and swathed in his coat, it was warm.
Doflamingo didn’t feel cold at all.

Summary: After moving away from the hustle and bustle of Grand Line City to help your father around the property following a horse-riding accident - and in the hopes of healing your broken heart after your asshole ex-fiancé cheated - you settle into the country calmness of the Calm Belt. You and Law (your father's doctor) start to build a flirty friendship because of your father’s procedure. So much so that when he’s invited to Baby 5’s wedding (his cousin), he asks you to be his date. His uncle Doflamingo - who is filthy rich - is very adamant on finding a suitable wife for him. Seeing as he wants to avoid that, he asks you to pretend to be his girlfriend for the weekend.
Notes: The angst arrives in full force! How about that!? Come on, you had to be expecting that! Also, I'm thinking about two chapters left (well, one and the epilogue), so we're almost at the end! PS: This song fits the chapter like a glove! *chef's kiss*
|Masterlist| | |Chapter 15| | |Chapter 17|
The night is almost over. Just a few more dances before the guests send the newlyweds off to their honeymoon, and then you and Law can escape back into the safety of your room. Just one hour, tops. What could go wrong in an hour?
Even more so now that you’ve finally confessed the three words that have been bothering you for a while. And they were reciprocated.
You’re adamant about not letting go of Law’s hand for the rest of the night. A feeling of dread still coils in the pit of your stomach, and you don’t know exactly why, but you’re not about to let fate play a prank on you.
Except, fate’s got nothing on Donquixote Doflamingo.
“Nephew, I need you. It’s urgent.” Law groans, his hand tightening around yours, since this is clearly Doffy's last opportunity to feed some lie to Law and try to break you two apart. You’re honestly tired of it all.
“Tomorrow, Uncle. I’m tired.”
“Now.” Doflamingo’s tone leaves no room for discussion, and Law clenches his jaw. Underneath it all, Law still respects his uncle. You’re not quite sure why he still respects the man, he’s despicable, but you suspect it’s because he instilled in Law a deep-seated sense of family ties and loyalty. And Law won’t break free of his morals.
“Go. I have to freshen up anyway.” You whisper with a smile. You’ve confessed. He knows how you feel. Nothing will come between the two of you.
Law smiles at you, and with a last squeeze of your hand, he lets you go.
-*-
You purposefully take a while longer in the bathroom, fixing your makeup, your hair, and your dress. Unnecessary moves, really, since you’re about to leave to go to bed soon, and you’re actually craving that massage Law mentioned earlier.
That and… well, you’re craving Law. Period.
You exit the bathroom with a silly smile still plastered on your lips and almost bump into a chest. “Oh, forgive me, I–... Ichiji.”
Obviously.
“Fancy seeing you here.” He begins.
“Cut the crap.” You don’t even let him say anything else, already pushing past him to return to the reception tent, but he halts you, a hand on your upper arm, and you seethe. “What did I tell you about touching me?”
He lets go of you immediately, taking a step back and sighing while passing a hand over his coiffed hair. “Right, sorry.”
Sorry?
You look behind you and around, trying to notice if something feels out of place. You might have entered a portal to some sort of alternate universe when you were in the bathroom because there’s no way in hell Ichiji would ever apologise to you.
“What?”
“I’m sorry, Doll. For… well…” He sighs again, steps forward, and then back again. “For cheating, for treating you like crap, for taking you for granted… I… well, I know now it’s too late, but seeing you happy with someone else made me realise what I lost and how I was the only one to blame.”
No, seriously, there has to have been a portal back there. Something, anything. This is not happening.
Your heart constricts in your chest. You lost count of how many times you dreamed about Ichiji asking for your forgiveness, to truly repent for what he put you through. But it happening here, in a place you'd never thought you'd meet him, and completely out of the blue?
What's his game?
“I don't think you need my forgiveness to move on. I know I don't need your apologies.” A heavy sigh parts your lips. “Not when you're delivering them far too late.”
You make another motion to pass through him, but he moves in front of you and whispers your name in a desperate plea. “I do need your forgiveness. I need closure.”
What? You cock your eyebrow, your lips twisting down in a frown. “After all you've put me through for–...” You wave your hands in the air. “I’m not even going to count the years we spent together. Just today is enough! After all the theatrics and the taunting, you expect me to believe you just want closure?”
The way he slumps his shoulders and downcasts his eyes reminds you of the first times you argued, back in the beginning of the relationship, when you actually believed his apologies, and your heart constricts some more at all the memories.
“Yes, Doll. Just closure. I'm about to leave the party, and I know we won't meet again, unless it's by chance, and I don't want us to part on bad terms.” He takes a tentative step your way. “Just say you'll forgive me, please.”
You want him out of your sight, out of your mind, and completely out of your heart. You know you don't love him anymore, but you still hold memories and feelings of nostalgia, and when he's looking at you with puppy-dog eyes, you can't help but soften up a little bit. He does seem sorry.
“Fine, Ichiji, fine. We can part ways on lighter terms. I don't completely forgive you for what you took from me or for how you made me feel, but I won't resent you for it anymore.”
He actually smiles at you. Not that conceited, smug smirk, but a genuine smile.
“That's all I ask for, Doll.”
“Good. Goodbye.”
“Wait, please.” Is that pain in his voice? Is he really sorry and repentant for everything? You don’t say anything, but you don’t move either, just waiting for what he wants to say. “Can I get one last hug?”
The face you make must have been something special to look at because he grimaces and chuckles softly, his hand passing through his hair again.
“A harmless hug? Please? It’s just for–...”
“Closure, right?” Should you? He’s actually sounding human for once in all the time you’ve known him, and he does seem sorry. It’s just a hug goodbye. What harm can it bring? “Fine. Make it quick.”
With a sigh, you let him bend down to envelop you in his arms, but then you actually smile. You don’t feel anything. No rage, no pain, no hurt, no longing… it’s just a void. You know there used to be something there, but now you’re free.
It’s a wonderful feeling, actually.
Until Ichiji’s hands cup your face, and he tilts your head to the side, doing the same to his and leaning in further, his lips inches away from yours. His taller frame engulfs you, and the lights are very dim near the bathroom. It almost looks as if you’re sharing a kiss.
“Wha–...”
“I still win, Doll.”
A cold shiver runs down your spine as he shows you the same smug smile he always did, his canines almost glistening with glee. You’re frozen in place. What does he mean?
And then he parts, leaving you open-mouthed, chest heaving, and cheeks flushed from trying to grasp what is going on. It doesn’t take long for your eyes to adjust to two figures looming at the entrance of the hallway that leads to the bathrooms.
Doflamingo and… oh, no.
“Law?”
Doffy is bent down, one arm around Law’s shoulders, his lips moving fast as he mouths words into Law’s ears. You can almost bet he’s spewing lies and deceptions about you, twisting everything to make Law doubt you. You know he has trouble trusting people, it would be so easy to make him doubt.
But what breaks you is Law’s expression. His usually stoic face bears the signs of hurt, and he’s clenching his fists by his sides, jaw ticking, trying to contain his emotions and failing at it.
“Law!” You try again, taking a step forward and see Doffy still speaking into Law’s ear. Lies, all lies, for sure. Law’s gaze falls on Ichiji and then back at you, and you realise that this was orchestrated. It has to have been orchestrated.
Ichiji holding you as if he were kissing you, Doffy bringing Law by the bathroom? It was their ultimate move.
“It’s not what you think, Law.” You take another step forward, and you can almost hear the shards of Law’s flimsy trust being broken and shattered into pieces.
He shakes his head and takes a step back, hand flying over his head to tousle his hair. “I… I need some air.” Turning on his heel, he leaves you in a hurry, and you stifle a sob.
No, no, no.
You need to reach him, to speak with him and let him know what happened. That nothing actually happened! He can’t possibly think you would betray him like this. Turning your wobbly steps into strides, you try to follow Law’s retreating figure into the crowd, despair tugging at your insides, tears already threatening to fall.
And then you’re stopped by a strong hand on your arm. “Where do you think you’re going, princesa?”
An actual growl leaves your lips. “Let go, Doflamingo. I need to speak with Law.” Your tug does nothing to loosen his grip, and you seethe.
“That’s where you’re wrong.” He tuts, his fiery eyes boring deep into yours. “You won’t speak to my nephew. Not now, nor ever again. You’ll leave him alone to live his life and disappear.”
Shaking your head, you try again, but his grip is too strong. “He needs to listen to me! He’s going to be heartbroken. It’s not what he thinks.”
“He’ll be fine. He has a family that loves him.” Doffy’s words sound melodic, but the melody is one of doom, not hope.
“Only Cora loves him, clearly.” Your scoff comes accompanied by stubborn tears you’re trying to keep enclosed. “All I’ve ever wanted from Law was love, all I have to give to him is love. Why do you want to take that away? Do you hate him that much?”
Doflamingo straightens his shoulders, and now he seems impossibly high. “On the contrary, cariño. I love him dearly. And it’s because I love him that I need him to learn this lesson. I thought he had already learned it the hard way, but he didn’t. Romantic love only brings weakness. It doesn’t do him any kindness, and he needs to let that go. He needs to be strong and in control, not a fool in love.”
Finally, your harsh tug makes him release you, but his imposing figure is still blocking the way. You stamp your feet, much like a small child, and grit your teeth, anger making your eyes blaze red. “You think that makes him stronger? Is that why you push the people that love him away?”
He shakes his head, those annoying tuts leaving his lips as he gives you a condescending look. “Not at all. Only those that do not.”
“Then you are a damned fool.” He growls at your disrespect, and you couldn’t care less. He lost any small ounce of respect you might’ve still held for him when he pulled this stunt. “Because if you hadn’t interfered, I would still be by Law’s side, and I love him!”
Doffy’s laugh comes in small waves, his eyes shining with amusement as he sizes you up with his fiery gaze. “An admirable sentiment, mi querida, though I doubt it to be true.” You open your mouth, ready to be disrespectful again, but he reaches into his pocket and pulls out an all-too-familiar device: your tablet.
With a flick of his finger, he opens it to the spreadsheet you now know by heart: all of Law’s likes and dislikes, every useful thing for your fake relationship, every piece of information you and Law gathered to make sure you were prepared for this event.
You can’t help the stutter that leaves your lips, nor the red flushing your cheeks. “Law… he.. Law knew about that.” Why does your voice sound so small? Is it because you were caught?
“I’m sure.” His demeanour contradicts his words. And then he hands you the tablet, a frown finally overtaking his mocking smile, and you almost shrink at how his aura suddenly feels very threatening. “You’re done here. You will never speak to my nephew again.”
Tears sting your eyes, but you refuse to let them fall. Doflamingo can’t win this, not after what you and Law went through. Not after realising he’s the love of your life.
“You can’t do that.” Your voice comes out as a mere trembling whisper. “You can’t pull strings and control Law’s life as if he’s a puppet and you’re his puppeteer! He has a say in his own life!” You try to take a step forward, but he doesn’t budge. “I’ll tell him what happened, and he’ll realise I never meant to hurt him. Just let me through!”
“You’re done.”
“Law has a right to make his own choices. You don’t own him!” The pesky tears start to stain your cheeks, you feel impotent and useless.
“Not choices that will end up destroying him.”
“The ones you are making for him might do just that.” Your voice finally breaks, and a ragged sob leaves your lips with the weight and the helplessness of it all. “He is not your pawn! You can’t manipulate him like this! Please… please! Let me speak to him! You’ll truly destroy him with this…”
Law placed his trust in you. After what he’s been through with Monet, you know it must not have been easy to let himself love and be loved. And Doflamingo manipulated you both to an extent that will come with dire consequences. Law will be broken, and so will you.
“I will face whatever consequences come from my actions with Law. He might be hurt for a while, but he will emerge stronger. He has done it once.”
“But at what cost?” You whisper, too drained to fight back. With a shaky inhale, you straighten your shoulders as your hands grip the tablet for some sort of grounding. “I’ll speak to him later, then. You can’t keep us apart. You will not ruin what we have.”
Pushing past him, you take one full step before Doflamingo’s words freeze you in place.
“I would rethink that if I were you, querida.” Something in his voice halts your breathing as you look over your shoulder and find him grinning. “Your father is still recovering from surgery, right? Some businesses collapse pretty quickly when something like this happens… no one would look twice.”
What?
“Is that a threat?” Doffy certainly has the power to ruin your father’s horse business.
Waving his hands in the air in a dismissive manner, his smirk returns to his lips, more menacing this time. “Oh no, no. I don’t make threats… they’re too amateurish.” His laugh fills your ears, and the same shiver as before courses through your veins. “It’s more of a prediction.”
Gathering strength and bravado you do not have, you square your shoulders and lift your chin. “My father is strong, and he has my help. We’ll manage.” Turning your face forward, you will your feet to move again.
“How brave. So what about Law’s clinic?” Your breath stops so suddenly that you almost think you have a collapsed lung. He can’t be serious. “I won’t be cryptic, cariño, here’s the deal: if you speak to Law again, I’ll make sure his clinic tanks. And you know how much he loves that little place, with his friends and helping people.” He tsks and waves his hand dismissively. “I would much rather he dedicated himself to the company, so perhaps you would be doing me a favour. Law, on the other hand? Now that would devastate him.”
“Please, don’t…” You don’t know what else to do. Doflamingo is too powerful, too influential. He will destroy Law either way and claim to be helping him while doing it. You feel trapped, what can you do? “Please don’t do that to him.”
“I don’t want to. I do love him. But that depends on you.” Doflamingo sets one hand on your shoulder to turn you back to face him. “There’s a car waiting for you outside with all your belongings. You will leave the party immediately with Ichiji, as it will help sell the ruse.”
Your legs start to wobble as breath begins to catch in your throat again. Powerless. Completely stripped of any will. That’s how you’re feeling.
“You will not speak with Law today, nor ever. Not even when you both go back to your boring little lives. He’ll think you abandoned him, which suits me, really. No one needs a gold digger.”
“I’m not–...”
“I don’t care!” Doflamingo leans in, and his breath fans your face. He’s as angry as you’ve ever seen anyone, and you can almost see the veins pulsating dangerously in his neck. “You’re a distraction and a liability. Law doesn’t need any of that.”
“Everybody needs love…” Is this your last hail Mary? Because it’s not a very strong one.
“Not the Donquixote family.” He steps back and motions Ichiji forward. “Leave. Don’t speak to Law. It’s simple, I’m sure you can follow that, princesa.” He chuckles again while fixing his tie and suit. “Or else…”
The words he leaves unsaid are a weight on your soul. You can’t think, you can’t breathe, you can barely exist. All you know is that Law is somewhere, hurting, thinking you betrayed his trust.
And the fact that you will leave without any explanation will only cement that feeling.
You thought you’d been heartbroken before - exhibit A is currently walking by your side, leading you away from the party with a hand on your back that you’re too tired to swat away - but you’ve never been hurt like this.
This pain is visceral. It burns, it blisters, it festers, and it destroys.
You’re not actually sure you’ll ever recover from this.
-*-
Law was taken away from you by Doflamingo yet again, and as his uncle drones on about business and about the imminent merger, all Law can think about is you in his arms and the peace you bring him.
“Are you listening to me, Law?”
“No, Uncle, I’m not. It’s late, and I’m tired.” He yawns for effect and shrugs. “I’m going to bed.” But before he can retreat, Doflamingo sighs and slings his hand over Law’s shoulder.
“Fine, Law. But first, I’ve made some assumptions during this weekend, and I need you to tell me if I’m right or wrong.” Law sighs and nods. Agreeing with Doffy is the fastest way to get rid of him. He starts leading Law back into the party, and Law follows without giving it much thought.
“I know you and the little princesa were not a couple before this weekend. I’m actually doubting that you are a couple at this moment… and my assumption is: you told her you didn’t want to come to my daughter’s wedding without a date because I tend to introduce you to a lot of respectable young ladies you don’t relate to. So, to avoid that, she offered to come as your date. Am I right?”
Law already knew Doffy had discovered that bit of your ruse, so he doesn’t act surprised, he acts resigned.
“Almost. I was the one who asked her.” Law grins. “The ladies you introduce me to are not respectable. Half of the ones I met proposed to do very salacious things to me in very public places.”
Doffy grins back at him, and Law sighs while shaking his head.
“You got that half-right, Doffy. Are you happy?”
“Not in the least. You see, Law, what I think is that the young lady realised the family you belonged to and decided to take advantage of that fact by seducing you. Is that a correct assumption?”
“Frankly, Uncle, I’m growing tired of that subject. We have already proved to you that we care about each other deeply. And even if we didn’t, we don’t have to prove anything to you anymore. This is my choice, and you will not interfere in it.”
Doffy tilts his head and nods, a mysterious smile playing on his lips as he leads Law to the bathroom.
“Fair enough. But… Nephew… do you truly believe she cares that much about you? Do you think she loves you?” A small chuckle escapes his lips. “I thought you were done with being naive…”
Law grits his teeth while his heart clenches in his chest. Doflamingo’s words always have a way of penetrating his skull and making him doubt everything. “She loves me. I know that.” He didn’t mean to sound so defensive, but then again, Doffy had no reason to attack him.
“I hope, for your sake, that you are right.” Doffy brings one hand to his chest and bows his head slightly. “I would hate to see you blindsided. Again.” His emphasis on the word ‘again’ brings hurtful memories of Monet back to Law’s mind, and he grunts.
“We’re fine, Doffy. Thank you for your concern.” Law is about to turn and leave, but Doffy holds him by the shoulder and directs his gaze towards the dimly lit hallway of the bathroom.
“Oh… would you look at that, then…”
Law instantly freezes, his brain showing him tricks. It has to be tricks. There’s no way that’s you wrapped in Ichiji’s arms. Law can only see the back of Ichiji’s hulking frame, but that’s your dress he sees peeking from the side, those are your hands holding his waist.
And now he’s cupping your cheeks, leaning… no.
A kiss?
Law shakes his head, denial, frustration, and… betrayal. That’s the word echoing in his head incessantly. Where once were your ‘I love you’s’ now stood that shadow of a word. Betrayal, betrayal, betrayal…
“You see, Law,” Doffy leans against Law’s ear, his venomous tongue spewing hurtful words. Words that ring true, too close to Law’s heart. Too at home with his pain. “She’s no different from Monet, really… they both traded you, broke your trust.”
Law’s throat is dry, and he feels little sweat beads trickling down his sideburns. The nails digging into the flesh of his hand cut little crescent indents, trying to ground him, trying to pull him back from the pitfall of despair he’s about to be sucked into.
“Love hurts, Nephew. Love tears and destroys. You can only trust your family or you should trust only yourself.”
Doffy keeps talking, but Ichiji breaks from you, and there’s a mix of confusion and distress on your face as your eyes meet Law’s. And then there’s panic as you whisper his name.
This can’t be happening. You wouldn’t do this to him. Not you.
“Law!”
Your plea is clear, but he can’t think straight. It’s too much, it’s too painful.
“Don't believe her lies, Law. You know what you saw.” Doffy murmurs.
“I… I need some air.” Law’s voice comes out as a mere whisper as he turns and disappears. The air suddenly feels rare, his chest too tight.
There’s not enough room in the world to harbour the size of this betrayal. It’s too much.
-*-
The coolness of the outside air does nothing to soothe him. It still feels stifling, and the control is slipping away from his fingers. Running his hand through his hair in a desperate gesture only brings him more heartache.
Why?
Law keeps thinking about your pain and grief when you spoke about Ichiji. How could you return to the man who hurt you so?
Maybe you didn’t.
No. Law knows what he saw. You were in Ichiji’s arms.
But he didn’t see a kiss.
There was no mistaking it. He held your face and–... and what? Could he have forced you? Were you held against your will? Law tries hard to unscramble his jumbled memories, but the pain in his chest is so heavy that he barely knows where to start.
He didn’t see a kiss. Of that, he’s certain. Could he be overthinking it? What if it was nothing, or if he forced you? And instead of helping you or hearing your words, Law panicked? Hadn’t he promised you not to listen to Doffy’s words?
Yet that was exactly what he did.
Fuck.
Did he get this all wrong? Law sighs and inhales deeply three times, trying to calm his ragged breaths and his uneven heart. He knows you. You wouldn’t do that to him, let alone with a man who hurt you so deeply.
There has to be an explanation for what happened, and he’s ready to listen to it.
Turning around, Law returns to the party, hoping you’re still somewhere near so he can speak with you and listen to what you have to say, to what really happened, to the truth.
He’s expecting to find you frantically looking for him, and his heart is already constricting from the anxiety you must be feeling. He should’ve just stayed a while longer. You would have explained, and neither he nor you would have had to panic.
But what he wasn’t expecting was to see you leaving the party. He wasn’t expecting to see Ichiji’s hand resting against your lower back, silently guiding you through the remaining guests. He wasn’t expecting to see you walking out with him.
Willingly.
So it was the truth.
Law’s heart breaks completely, the full extent of your betrayal settling in, expanding, and commandeering all of his love for you. Doflamingo was right. It pains him to admit this, but he was.
You’re a liar, and Law was foolish enough to trust you.

Donquixote Doflamingo x Reader Calm Nights
Master List
No warnings just some fluff for Doffy's delusional fangirls like me, kinda short like the last one, check out A/N at the end if you wanna, thus can be read as Pre-Dressrosa or just on their way to or from a Warlord meeting, same as the last Doffy and Reader have been together for years so I can't even tell if it'd be OOC or not as we really don't know how he'd act with someone he genuinely loves, it'd take years of hard work to get through his walls and I don't trust myself with writing that yet sooooo.......
Tumblr media
Under the gentle glow of the moonlight, Doffy and Y/N found themselves on the deck of their ship, nestled in each other’s arms. The night air was cool and calm, the only sound the gentle lapping of waves against the hull.
Y/N sat on Doffy's lap his arm wrapped around her his fluffy coat engulfing her, like a protective blanket covered in his scent providing warmth and safety, her arm wrapped around his back as her head laid on his shoulder, breathing in his intoxicating scent, both having a glass of wine in their free hand, they enjoyed the calm of the night, a rare occurrance for them.
Wrapped in the warmth of each other’s embrace, they sat in comfortable silence for a while, content to simply be in each other’s company. But as the minutes passed, soft conversations began to flow between them, their voices carrying on the breeze like whispers of secrets shared only between them.
They spoke of dreams and aspirations, of memories both cherished and bittersweet. They laughed at inside jokes and reminisced about moments they had shared together. And as they talked, they found solace in the knowledge that no matter what the future held, they would always have each other.
As the night wore on, they leaned into each other, finding comfort in the familiar touch of hands intertwined and heads resting against shoulders. And as they watched the stars twinkle overhead, they knew that in each other’s arms, they had found their own little piece of paradise amidst the vast expanse of the treacherous ocean.

Crocodile’s Tears- Part Two- New Beginnings
Sir Crocodile x fem!reader, Doflamingo x fem!reader(siblings)
In which your life has gotten a little more complicated as your freakishly tall older brother comes back into your life.
Angst, reader is traumatized, fluff, curse words, violence. Slighy spoilers for Marine ford. Maybe out of character Crocodile and Doflamingo. May be some canon as well as non canon things.
The ocean shone brilliantly as the salty sea air whipped your h/c hair back softly. You stood on the front of the boat holding the railing that surrounded it, feeling the cool metal against your palms. You took a deep breath letting the salty air fill your lungs as your eyes still felt raw from all of the crying you had done the night prior. Your heart was still aching from recent events. You had once been the wife of a very powerful man and now you were just you and you knew that at some point, you needed to come to terms with that.
The reason you chose Dressrosa was because despite the history there, you needed to be in the comfort of your family. You desired to see your older brother even though he was a horrible person and a hardened criminal. You were an adopted by his parents as they desired to have a ‘normal’ child. You chuckled at that thought squeezing the cool railing a little bit harder as you felt fresh tears pricking your eyes once again. You started to hate yourself for wanting to see him, as he was the reason your parents weren’t here anymore. But you knew that he would welcome you with open arms, he did promise that after all. You just wish that you knew where your other brother was as he was more of the ideal person to be with. He was kind, smart, and someone you knew you could rely on. But your older brother would have to do for now, he was still family.
“We will be arriving at our destination in 1 hour.” someone on the loud speaker announced
“Well damn, that voyage was a lot quicker than I thought it be. Guess I should call Doffy.”You spoke to yourself as you admired the sea.
You reluctantly let go of the railings and began waking back to your room that was located in the middle of the ship. Once there, you sat on your bed that was hard and uncomfortable. You then took one look at your transponder snail giving it a small smile before grabbing it gently Reluctantly, you dialed your brothers number waiting for him to pick up as the sound of the transponder snail filled your tiny room. And soon enough, the transponder snail stopped with a click sound.
“Who’s this?” A gruff voice spoke
“It’s me, Doffy. It’s y/n.” You responded cringing at yourself for being so timid.
“Well, well. Hello there I was wondering when I’d get a call from you. ” He laughed out. “I told you that Crocodile was not good for you did I not.” Doflamingo spoke once more bit in a more serious tone fully knowing why you’d call him.
“I know.” You whispered feeling embarrassed
“I’m glad you know, sweet sister. Now tell me where you are so I can come and get you.” He said in a more gentle voice thing to coax you to him.
“Funny enough, in a boat right now on my way to Dressrosa. I’m about an hour away.” You replied with a nervous expression.
“Fufufu, good I’ll see you soon then. Are you just visiting or do you want to stay?” He asked slyly
“I’m not sure yet Doffy. All I know is that I need my family.” You admitted feeling too emotionally tired to hide your true feelings.
“I’m glad you’ve come to your senses.” Doflamingo stated as that sentence reminded you of the big fight the two of you had when you first started dating crocodile. You then sighed trying to push down the thoughts of your husband down. “See you soon, y/n.” Your brother added before hanging up.
“Shit. What the hell did I just get myself into.” You admitted to yourself before you began packing your things getting ready to see your big brother again.
One hour later
You had finally arrived to Dressrosa. Taking your first steps off of the boat felt like you were waking home. The familiar warmth and sight of toys filled you with joy. However, the sheer number of them shocked you as you defiantly don’t remember there being this many. Shaking your head, you decided to put it in the back of your mind as you were dedicated to one thing and one thing only; your brother.
You began looking around for him thinking that he might be here to get you. However, knowing Doffy, he was not the kind of man to do that. You shook your head that this realizing that it had been some time since you had officially seen him and you seemed to have forgotten some of his manurisums.
“Well shit, I guess I’ve gotta walk there.” You spoke to yourself.
And so you went in the direction of the castle that sat upon the plateau called the “Sunflower hill.” As you began your journey, suitcase in hand, you had walked out five minutes before you were surrounded by three men that seemed to be dressed as guards.
“Miss Donquixote, we are here to escort you to the palace by order of the king!” The guard in the middle declared handing me an official document with my brothers signature proving the legitimacy to this man’s words.
“I see. Thank you! Mind carrying my bags then?” I responded handing one of the other guards my suitcase before they could answer. I then walked past them desperate to get to my final destination.
“C-certainly!” The guard squeaked surprised at my boldness.
“Wait, miss Donquixote! We are suppose to escort you!” The last guard yelled
“Well escort me then I’m not interested in waiting any longer than I already have.” You snapped back not having any patience to deal with your brothers goonies at that moment. You then continued your fast pace not caring if they were actually escorting you or not.
“Yes ma’am!” All three of them responded as you heard them quicken their footsteps behind you. And soon enough they were in front of you “escorting” you to the palace.
After about an hour of walking, you had finally made it to your brothers palace. You smiled to yourself feeling surprisingly happy that you were going to see him after so many years. The palace hadn’t changed much since the last time you were here. With the exception of a few more shitty portraits of your brother.
“Miss Donquixote, please follow us to the throne room.” The guard holding your bag told you.
“Thank you!” You responded feeling slightly relieved that you were finally here.
The guard then lead you through a long hallway with red velvet carpet adorned with gold accents. The doors ahead that opened to the throne room was solid gold and stood wall length. The other two guards then stood on both sides of the doors. As the two massive opened you were greeted with the strange and malicious smile of your older brother; Donquixote Doflamingo.
“Too you long enough my sweet sister.” Doflamingo smiled crossing his legs as he sat upon his massive golden throne wearing his signature pink feathered coat.
“My bad, your guards got in my way.” You joked walking up to him with a small smile on your face.
“Fufufu I’ll deal with them later.” He spoke looking down at you with his smile never fading from his face.
“It’s good to see you brother.” You admitted not interested in starting any small talk with him knowing full well it would go absolutely no where.
“You as well dear one. It’s been so long. Why don’t we catch up in private?” He asked although knowing him, it definitely wasn’t a question. “Why don’t we talk in my office?” He added as he got up from his massive throne and began walking.
“Sure thing.” You responded as you followed.
Soon the two of you arrived to his office. Once there, the two of you sat across from each other in big office chairs. His looked perfect for him while your looked like it was about to swallow you whole. His office was huge and like the rest of the decor of the castle, it was adored with good trimmings and beautiful paintings. One of the paintings in particular caught your eye. It was a painting of you and both of your brothers. With them standing side by side with you in the middle. The sight of that painting made your heart ache. You hadn’t seem your other brother in an ever longer time than you had seen Doflamingo.
“He’s still missing y/n.” Doflamingo chimed in once he took notice you weren’t paying any attention to him.
“I know, it’s been far too long. I barely remember him.” You spoke seldomly
“What do you remember?” He asked as he leaned in closer to you.
“That he was kind, quiet, and extremely clumsy.” You replied reminiscing in your head about the time he somehow slipped sitting down. You chuckled at that thought which, not to your awareness, made Doflamingo jealous.
“Yes he was, but onto business.” He said doing his best to hide his annoyed tone and trying to give you a sweet and loving smile instead.
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right. What would you like to know?” You asked him leaning back into your massive chair.
“Everything, start from the beginning. I need to know how much that mother fucker hurt you and if I need to kill him or not.” He sneered smiling in anticipation.
“I’ll tell you everything as long as you agree not to kill him.” You responded quickly trying not to get your ex husband kill despite your hatred for him. You were so glad in that moment that you took on more of the personality of your other brother.
“Deal, just tell me everything.” He replied in an annoyed tone.
“Fine, so it all started about a little over a week ago…” You started.
Meanwhile…
The news of Arabasta’s war conflict coming to an end and Crocodiles reign over was sweeping the nation and the world by storm. The news that “white chase” Smoker of the marines had defeated the infamous pirate became one of speculation and pride to the Marines. The king was respected once more and the lost princess Vivi went back to her kingdom once more. It was a joyous occasion as the chains that held Arabasta captive were finally broken. However, there was one in particular that was not gladdened with the news; Sir Crocodile.
There he sat in a large Marine ship with sea prism stone cuffs on both his hands and feet. Blood still on his face from his recent battle with the rookie “Straw Hat” Luffy. Crocodile was defeated through and through. Both mind and body spent as not only did his plans fail, but the one thing he held dear to him was now gone too, due to his own personal failure. The area of the ship he was in was dark and smelled of rats and moldy sea water.
“Damn marines, don’t even know how to clean properly.” He spoke to himself with a raspy voice.
His head leaned forward as he tried to make himself comfortable in these shitty conditions. However, he had no luck as he was so use to his luxurious ways. His constant cigar was gone so he couldn’t even find a slight comfort in that. Crocodile then sighed feeling tired from the sea prism stone cuffs that he was bound in. As his power felt like it was gone completely. He hated this feeling, he hated being weak, but most importantly he hates knowing that he lost. He hates himself for the words that he spoke to you when he should’ve been kind to you. You were(are) his wife and he loves you more than anything.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” He spoke softly to himself as though he was speaking to you.
Where were you now? Were you safe? Did you still love him? These questions kept repeating in his tired mind as he sat and sat for what felt like an eternity. He knew where he was going, but in that moment all his mind wanted to think of was you. Your smile, your eyes, your body, your kindness, your love. You were the only comfort he had in that moment and he knew that you’d be the only comfort he would have in Impel Down.
“What the hell is she going to think?” He questioned remembering that he had never told you the full extent of his plan and the full truth as to why you were in Arabasta in the first place. All he told you was that it was the best place for the two of you to make money and you accepted. “Shit!” He yelled out slamming his hand and hook down on the floor.
“Hey! Keep it down in there!” One of the marine guards called out to him. To which Crocodile glared at him making the marine guard shiver. “S-sorry!” He stuttered out.
“Whatever.” Crocodile spoke leaning back against the wall and sighing.
He knew he fucked up badly. He knew the chance of you taking him back as your husband was slim, but he didn’t care. He loved you in his twisted but genuine way. You were his and he was yours and he needed you back in his arms. You were his salvation is this fucked up world. Crocodile then in that moment, no matter what, decided he would find a way to be by your side once more and he simply didn’t care how.
“Prepare the prisoner for transfer to Impel down!” Another guard shouted to Crocodiles.
“Yes sir!” The marine saluted. “You heard him p-prisoner. Stand up!” The guard stuttered.
“Sure.” Crocodile smiled sending another wave of nerves down the guard’s spine.
Now that crocodile was standing he fully now realized just how tired he was. However, that didn’t matter now. Now, he would have to endure literal hell for god knows how long. But, he knew no matter how long no matter how much they would put him through in that place, it would be more than worth it just to see you once again.
“Y/n, I’ll find you my darling.” He whispered is mind returning to nothing but sweet thought of you and he began walking straight into hell.
Back To You…
“And that’s what happened and why I’m here now.” You spoke finishing your story.
“I know you told me I shouldn’t kill him, but the events that you just told me make me think he deserves it.” Doflamingo spoke through gritted teeth as his fists were tightly squeezed together.
“His death really wouldn’t make me feel any better you know.” You bit back annoyed that he even thought to bring this up again.
“It would make me feel better.” He muttered as you rolled your eyes at his comment.
“I know it would.” You sighed. “I just don’t wish to see him. I can’t, especially after leaving the way I did.” You admitted as you started to feel slightly sad once more.
“Good, you won’t and I’ll make damn sure of it. You left because you knew you needed better and so you came to me. I’ll make sure you find someone worthy of a woman of your caliber, that’s a promise.” Doflamingo declared feeling righteous.
“I’m not looking to move on yet Doffy…” you said looking down at you hands as your eyes began to blur. “I just can’t.” You added as your heart ached with the memory of your husband.
“Fine, but you will one day, promise me.” Doflamingo spoke seriously
“I promise.” You replied. Although not fully meaning it as your heart still belonged to your husband despite how shitty he was.
“Good girl. Now you should go see the rest of the family I know they’re excited-”Doflamingo began
“Young master! Young master!” A guard burst in holding a newspaper exclaimed.
“Dammit what?!” Your brother barked back with visible anger.
“S-sorry, young master, b-but you need to r-read the news!” He stuttered handing Doflamingo the newspaper.
Your brother scanned it, reading it carefully not fully believing the article. You noticed a mix of confusion and excitement on his face as his familiar smile grew in size. It seemed like forever until he finally finished reading. Once he did, he gave you a smug grin as he handed you the paper that caused his amusement. He knew full well that this would fully shock you. So much so that you would most likely stay with him forever.
You took the paper from him and began reading. However, by the headline, you were already confused and horrified. A gasp left your lips as you continued reading. The true horrors that your husband committed came to light. Mixed emotions were flooding you as you finished reading and shakily placed the news paper down. Angry tears flowed down your cheeks as you looked at your brother who gave you a sympathetic smile, one he knew would make you believe that he had no clue about Crocodiles plan.
“I can’t believe he would be this horrible.” Yoi cried out as you cradled your face and began to sob.
“He is a pirate y/n.” Doflamingo said coming closer to you.
“I know he is, but taking over a country and planning to destroy it. That’s so fucked!” You exclaimed as you felt large arms around your body.
“I know it is. Shhh. Everything will be okay.” Doffy reassured pulling you closer to him with a satisfied grin. “I did tell you he was trouble.” He added.
“I-I know. I just thought he told me everything. He promised that he had.” You spoke through choked tears.
Your brother didn’t respond as he simply didn’t know what to say. On one had he was satisfied that you were with him once again. And that he finally had all of his family in once place. As well as the face that he was almost certain you’d let him kill Crocodile now. However, he also felt a unfamiliar feeling bubbling up in his chest. He did love you and seeing you so upset made him feel slightly sympathetic and worry for you. He hated this feeling but chose to ignore his confused emotions as this is what you needed.
“What am I gonna do Doffy?” You whispered as your voice was beginning to hurt from all of the crying you had done.
“You’re going to say here with me, sweet y/n.” Doffy responded pulling away to look at you.
“How long?” You questioned.
“As long as you’d like to but if it were up to me you’d stay forever. We’re family and it’s high time we reminder that.” He told you grabbing your now puffy face and wiping your tears.
“You’re right! You’ve been right about everything!” You cried out “I’m sorry Doffy.” You whispered hugging him once again.
“That’s all in the past now.” He comforted “Why don’t we go see the rest of our family soon?” Doffy suggested
“I’d like that, thank you brother.” You spoke excitedly
“Good.” Doflamingo smiled smugly
Two Months Later…
Your life at this point was much improved. You were now apart of the family and even had some authority. It was great and you even opened a little flower shop near the castle that you ran, which Doflamingo agreed. You had also gone to therapy and opened up a lot about your marriage and about your own personal problems. You were much happier knowing that your husband was serving time for his heinous crimes.
However, during these past two months you realized that Crocodile’s absence would always leave a hole in your heart. Despite how awful he was to you, you did love him. You thought a lot about him and even began to miss him and the times that he was sweet and loving to you. Truthfully he was that way for the majority of your marriage.
Every day was hard, but Doffy and the family had made your days easier. You and baby 5 had gotten along well and you even helped her with her attachment issues and have tried to convince her to go to therapy. The rest of the family was hard to really get close with again, but you had tried your best. After all, they were people that you had been close with once upon a time.
Today, was quite hot in the beautiful kingdom of Dressrosa. You were tending to your flower shop, making sure that all of the displays were absolutely perfect. While you were focused on the task at hand, the bell to your shop went off alerting you of a customer. As you turned around you were greeted with the familiar face of Doflamingo.
“Hello there, what might you need today brother?” You smiled to him
“I assure you I’m not here for your beautiful flowers sweet sister, but I am here to let you know that’ll I’ll be gone for at least a week.” Doffy informed you as he crouched in your shop due to his enormous size.
“Where to?” You questioned
“There’s gonna be an execution. One for the pirate Portgus D. Ace, commander of the White Beard Pirates.” He said proudly.
“But that’s result in an all out war!” You told him perplexed by this information.
“Exactly. I’m ordered to go but really I wanna see how this will turn out! It’ll be a spectacle!” Doflamingo laughed making you cringe slightly
“I guess I’ll see you in a week then.” You responded trying to change the subject as you turned back to your flowers.
“Yes, you could come with me you know.” He suggested
“I’ve got work to do here. And besides who’s going to keep your family in shape while you’re gone.” You joked hanging your brother a blood red rose. He took it with a smile before placing it in his pocket.
“I suppose you could watch the broadcast.” He suggested
“Not really sure I wanna see all of that” you admitted feeling slightly sick at the thought of watching that boy die.
“Fair enough, but I do hope you will change your mind.” Doflamingo laughed slightly. “Take care of our family y/n. I’ll be back soon.” He spoke one last time before he left leaving you to your work.
“See you soon, brother.” You whispered as a strange feeling erupted in your chest. “This won’t end well.” You spoke to yourself as you continued w continued with your work.
A Few Days Later…
Doflamingo had arrived in MarineFord Mmmm a few days ago and already the war had begun. The theatrics were already amusing him as he watched the carnage. Pirate versus marine, the strongest versus the strongest. This war was right up his alley. Doflamingo only wished that you could be here to witness this, but hoped that you’d watching the transponder snail feed.
“Ah yes! Who is just the marines or the pairates! It doesn’t really matter this war will change the tides forever! Fufufufufu!” Doflamingo exclaimed happily.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh!” Sudden voices yelled out from up above interrupting Doflamingo celebration.
“What the” Doflamingo spoke out looking up with a frown and then surprise at a massive marine ship somehow falling from the sky.
“Dammit, Ivankov!” A familiar gruff voice yell out in annoyance.
“Iva!” A child-like voice called out.
“We’re all gonna die!” Two male voices caked out in terror.
And just as fast as he heard those voices, they were sent plummeting down into the hole in the ice below that was made not too long ago. This spectacle was enough to catch the attention of everyone on the battlefield. Faces agape at the sight making the fighting stop.
“Dammit straw hat!” The same familiar gruff voice called only this time the person was much clearer.
“Well I’ll be dammed!” Doflamingo called out to none other than Sir Crocodile.
“Shit.” Crocodile whispered to himself
Doflamingo quickly made his way to Crocodile, killing random people on the way there. As he was approaching, he took notice of Crocodile’s sad attempt at attacking Whitebeard only to be stopped by both straw hat and one of Whitebeards commanders. Crocodile was sent flying backwards as blood dripped down his nose.
“Well hey there gatorboy!” Doflamingo greeted looking down at Crocodile.
“Doflamingo stay out of my business or else!” Crocodile but back wiping the blood from his nose.
“Your business! Fufufu! Your businesses is now thriving with me after you left her broken-hearted. ” Doflamingo laughed
“What the hell are you yapping about!”Crocodile responded
“Your dear wife came crying to me after she left you!” Doflamingo
“She’s in Dressrosa?” Crocodile questioned already starting to make a plan to go to you.
“Yes! Where she belongs.” Doflamingo spoke
“She’s my wife!” Crocodile barked
“And she’s my sister and I can assure you, you’ll never see her again!” Doflamingo laughed.
“Dammit Doflamingo! She’s mine!” Crocodile replied grabbing him by the shirt
“You know she might be watching gator boy! Wouldn’t want to let her see you assault her brother, would you now? Fufufu!” Doflamingo teased
Crocodile then promptly let him go feeling nervous that you might be watching. Anxiety then crept and he decided then that he’d better act right hoping that maybe you’d see that he was a better man than the last time you had seen him.
“Damn, didn’t realize my sweet sister had such a tight leash on you gator boy.” Doflamingo joked
“Maybe I just want to my wife to see the man she deseves.” Crocodile whispered sadly
“Let’s just hope she’s looking then.” Doflamingo responded seriously confused at Crocodiles change in demeanor.
Meanwhile, back to you a few moments earlier…
You had completed your work for the day. As you closed your flower shop and made your way back to the castle you thought of your brother mentioning the broadcast at marineford and how anyone could view it if they had a video transponder snail, to which the castle did.
“Fuck it.” You whispered realizing that you were very much in fact interested in what would happen.
And thus, as you walked into the castle you set your sights on the room you knew had what you needed. As you made your way there you wondered what was going on now and what did you miss. You felt as though something happened that you had to see. Something that could change everything for you and you had no idea why yet. So, as you arrived at the room you immediately started to turn on the video transponder snail in hopes that the broadcast would work. After a little trial and error you got the massive snail working and connected to the one at Marine ford. The feed started playing and immediately you saw the massive battle that had happened and was now continuing. Pirate versus marine, the best verses the best. This was, in your mind, the war that would determine the change the world forever.
“The fucking brutality.” You spoke out eyes glued to the screen.
You noticed your brother in the corner of the screen laughing and saying some big speech that you agreed with and then;seemingly out of nowhere, a missive ship crash landed in a almost too perfect opening in the ice below. You gasped at the sight not realizing what had just happened. It was bizarre to be sure but was most bizarre was the reaction your brother had to it. He was quick to leave his post and go to the action.
“What the hell is he doing?” You wondered knowing something like this was not likely to make your brother leave the comfort of his stand. He is a king after all.
You watched your brother closely as he landed right before a giant man seemingly made of diamonds and someone who had just gotten punched by him. The video was hard to see due to all of the fight king and debris in the air. But with further focus you finally realized the reason for Doflmingos haste and why he would even be remotely interested in leaving from his viewing spot. It was a person; a person still so dear to you and who you still loved deeply, much to your own disappointment.
“Crocodile?” You whispered to yourself feeling like the world itself had stopped.

Father of boys
Context: The heavenly demon and his devil sons
Tumblr media
Doflamingo’s feelings towards his twin boys would likely be ambivalent, torn between his responsibilities as a father and his pursuit of power and control.
Given his manipulative nature, Doflamingo might try to mold his twin sons into following in his footsteps and becoming part of his grand schemes.
He would likely have high expectations of his sons, enforcing strict rules and discipline to shape them into powerful individuals.
He would emphasize the importance of strength and power, teaching his sons to see themselves as superior to others.
Doffy might keep an emotional distance from his sons, viewing sentimentality as a weakness.
He would teach his sons to survive and thrive in the dangerous and ruthless world they inhabit.
Doflamingo might test his sons’ loyalty and dedication to him, ensuring they are truly worthy of his legacy.
The twin boys might experience sibling rivalry as they vie for their father’s approval and attention.
As they grow older, the twins might struggle with conflicting loyalties between their father and their own desires for a different path in life.
Doflamingo’s role as a father might evolve unexpectedly as he witnesses unforeseen developments in his sons’ personalities and aspirations.
——————
In a grand and opulent chamber within the depths of the Dressrosa palace, Doflamingo sat regally upon a lavish throne, surrounded by the intricate patterns of his sinister birdcage. His twin sons, Don and Marco, stood before him, both adorned in attire befitting their royal lineage.
Doflamingo’s eyes surveyed his sons with a mixture of pride and calculation. “Don, Marco,” he addressed them with a smooth and composed voice, “you are the heirs to the Donquixote family legacy. Remember, strength and power are the cornerstones of our existence. Embrace them, and you shall command respect and dominion over the world.” Don, the older of the two, maintained a stoic demeanor, absorbing every word his father spoke. He knew the expectations placed upon him were immense, and he was determined to prove his worth. Marco, however, displayed a glimmer of defiance in his eyes, his spirit not entirely aligning with his father’s vision.
“As heirs, you must learn to navigate the treacherous currents of the world,” Doflamingo continued, his tone becoming more commanding. “Weakness is unforgivable, and the strength to crush your enemies is paramount.” Don nodded solemnly, internalizing his father’s teachings, while Marco’s expression remained guarded. He was not convinced that the path laid out before him was the only way. Sensing Marco’s hesitation, Doflamingo’s lips curled into a predatory smile. “You doubt me, Marco?” he questioned, his voice taking on a colder edge.
Marco hesitated for a moment, then straightened his posture, meeting his father’s gaze with newfound determination. “I believe strength can be found in different forms, Father,” he stated, his voice firm yet respectful. “There is more to power than merely crushing one’s enemies.” Doflamingo’s eyes narrowed, intrigued by his son’s defiance. “Explain,” he commanded.
“Strength can be seen in compassion, in protecting those who are weaker, in forging alliances rather than instilling fear,” Marco explained, not backing down. “A ruler should inspire loyalty and admiration, not just fear.” Doflamingo’s hand clenched on the armrest of his throne, torn between pride in his son’s assertiveness and irritation at his audacity. He recognized that Marco had a point, even if it challenged his own beliefs.
After a tense moment, Doflamingo’s demeanor softened slightly. “You have a will of your own, Marco,” he acknowledged. “Use it to prove yourself worthy of the Donquixote name.” As the conversation concluded, the twin boys exchanged a knowing glance, each acknowledging the unique challenges they faced as the sons of one of the world’s most feared and enigmatic figures.

The angstiest thing I'll probably ever post in terms of topics. Italics is either thoughts or emphasis on smth and I make it decently clear when it's thinking. Line breaks indicate time passing/ major scene change, Art done by my wife @wattabotta / Now with better dividers and and keep reading!

In the holy land of Mariejois, 16 years prior to the Straw Hats and Trafalgar Law overthrowing Dressrosa. Inside a large manor a 12 year old girl was harassing her father for what must have been the umpteenth time of the day. The girl wore a short white dress with floral patterns at the base of the skirt and cuffs of the slightly puffed shoulders. Her neck adorned with a silver necklace, her legs covered with a pair of white stockings that meet her black slightly heeled shoes. She had milky brown hair in an elegant braided bun on top of her hair with some bangs swept to the side.
“Father, pleaseeee I need that fruit!” She whined whilst tugging on her fathers white and gold coat. Her father groaned and rubbed between his eyebrows. He was normally not a man to deny his daughter anything, but the request this time simply felt unnecessary.
“Maria, how many times do we have to go over this?” Her fathers deep voice was laced with frustration. “You cannot consume one of those fruits no matter what power you may gain.” Her father then shoved her to the ground. “It was a mistake to let you read those fairy tales and an even greater mistake to let you look into that vile encyclopedia. You are a descendant of the gods. What use would that fruit have to you?! You have all the power in the world at your fingertips already, You can have endless slaves.” The man sat down in a large purple felt chair and without even needing to snap his fingers, a shirtless man crawled over and let his joints lay on the ground acting as a footstool. “Want a exotic pet, name it and it’s yours. Wish for someone’s execution, shoot them yourself and no one will bat an eye.” With one large clearing of his throat a cup of tea was placed in front of the man by yet another nearly nude male.
“You don’t understand papa! With that fruit, I’d be even more divine, no doctor in the world can give me what I need. That fruit is my only hope at being happy, life is worthless without it.” Maria’s brown eyes began to well up with tears.
“Maria, don’t you dare give me those fake tears. A young lady like yourself should not be crying at this age.” Maria’s father then snapped his fingers signaling a pair of slaves to rush forward and start a fire in the large and regal fireplace that stood a few feet away.
“What would mother think about you saying no to me!” Maria shouted, causing the room to fall silent and her father to rise.
“You spoiled brat!” Her father’s hand struck her face with a loud smack echoing in the room. Maria’s face stinging caused her to curl up and begin wailing, a few well dressed female slaves rushed over and attempted to comfort the sobbing girl. Seconds began stretching longer and longer as the wailing wouldn’t stop, each cry eating away at Maria’s father.
“Why don’t you love me father?” Maria’s gentle voice managed through sobs. That was the final straw; her father swooped in picking up Maria and rocking her. He simply couldn’t stand it anymore. She deserved what she wanted and he would get it for her however possible.
“I love you so much Maria. I’m sorry I hit you and said no. My baby girl deserves the world fed to her on a spoon if she wants. I’ll see what I can do to get you that fruit.” He cooed and gently began to hum as Maria clung to him.
“Thank you father! I love you too!” She continued to sob but this time out of joy. Her father sat down and let Maria sit in his lap while a slave brought over a transponder snail for the man.
“Let’s see what the navy can do for us.” He murmured while picking up the receiver and made a call.
Tumblr media
It only took a month for the fruit to be found. It wasn’t all too sought after nor costly in berries. It was a fruit with little to no combative abilities, no pirate needed it except to brag about having a devil fruit to spare on board. No average citizen wanted to lose their ability to swim in the ocean over it. So it was only a matter of a one on one negotiation that certainly raised a few eyebrows. The pirate crew who did have it felt little need in keeping it but when they found out the navy wanted it clearly it meant something and thus the price began to rise and then stagnated. Once delivered to Mariejois a certain girl was over the moon.
“Father, look!” Maria cried as she jumped around, her hair rapidly grew longer than herself before returning to her natural hip length. “It’s perfect, I can style it how I want whenever! I’m not limited to the yearly waits and pains of the trash!” She spun around and danced while her hair fluctuated lengths.
“Yes it is beautiful Maria, but you have to promise me something.” Her father crouched down in front of Maria, his voice quiet and sprinkled with a hint of nervousness.
“What is it?” She raised her eyebrows slightly and attentively looked at her father, stopping her dancing.
“You must not let another dragon know about this. If you do, you cannot let them know how you obtained it.”
“Why?” Maria didn’t understand, part of the reason she wanted this fruit was to stand out and be the most beautiful lady in all of Mariejois, heck the whole world but that wouldn’t be hard since most of the world was filled with trash beneath her.
“If they found out you ate a devil fruit and I gave it to you, we could be kicked out of the holy land.” He began to sweat and panic at the idea. The only time someone had left the holy land permanently was that idiot from the Donquixote family who robbed his children of the life they had deserved. Maria began to shake at the thought of being removed from Mariejois, the idea of no longer being an all powerful celestial dragon simply couldn’t compute in her pampered brain. “So Maria, whatever you do, don't say a word.” At that moment, the clock began fast forwarding. The holy land of Mariejois felt more and more like a land mine when it came to mentioning Maria or why her father had begun to tighten his normally loose wallet until one fateful night.
Tumblr media
“Father!” Maria screamed at the top of her lungs as she flailed against the marines now carrying her away. Her father meanwhile was bound to a pole with a pistol near his temple. “Let me go, you marines! Do you know who I am!?” Her struggles were futile. “They are going to shoot my father! Please stop them! He’s one of them and so am I! I’m a celestial dragon, put me down!”
“You were a celestial dragon.” A large man with a large marine jacket hanging off his shoulders spoke. “You then wasted that by consuming a devil fruit.” Maria’s eye’s both widened and shrunk. “To them and to us you're just some run of the mill commoner who’s tainted their blood.”
“Why are you taking me away, please help-!” Her voice went silent as a gunshot echoed over Mary Jois.
“Your father is being put down for tainting a dragon.” The large marine spoke once more and grabbed Maria by her head with one hand taking her away from the other marines. “Now you be quiet while we drop you off somewhere.” Was the last thing Maria remembers hearing before rudely waking up on a summer island in the middle of the grand line.
Through trials and errors she managed to fight for survival in the wilderness steering clear of the small town nearby for fear of what they might do to her. She recognized it. It was the island her father and her would visit for a 'mind opening experience'. Most of the time they simply abused the townsfolk for their goods and even killed a few who didn’t comply. They would surely recognize her if they saw her.
Tumblr media
10 years prior to the chaos in Dressrosa. Maria, much to her reluctance, had become a somewhat capable outdoorsman. But one thing constantly remained an issue, she heavily lacked a green thumb and the ability to garden, thus leaving her reliant on stealing food from the townsfolk. Multiple incidents nearly revealed her identity and many nights she would go to bed hungry early on.
She had developed well despite the hunger; only losing a few inches to a foot in height from her lack of food early on. She had now started to concoct a plan to craft a small vessel and set sail across the seas in hopes of finding an island she could merge into and lay low. She was well aware she couldn’t return to Mariejois. Her father had constantly reminded her of that once she ate her devil fruit.
“That Donquixote boy was denied re-entry for his fathers actions, I’m positive the same would happen to you.”
It was just another evening for her. A little grab and go so she could eat. As the townsfolk prepared to close stalls but still sell was when they were most distracted. The evening started smoothly like any other. Most vendors didn’t even notice. She was sneaking down an ally to her final stop. The cured meat. It wasn’t her favorite but protein was protein. She took a deep breath and used the small puddle of water formed by gutter drippings as a mirror to see if the vendor had left or turned his back. She saw it, her split second opening. She swiped at some meat before her wrist was painfully cut off by a tight grip from a large hairy hand.
“Gotcha!” The meat vendor announced proudly to the whole street market. “We have our little thief!” He tugged Maria into the setting sun light. While she may have changed plenty of 6 years, the town immediately recognized her. “It’s you!”
“That celestial dragon brat has been stealing our stuff for the last few years!?” Another vendor shouted.
“If you’re stealing…” The meat vendor’s face contorted into a furious yet twisted smile. “That means you have no power anymore doesn’t it?” Maria was frozen, she was never able to properly hunt, when she did she was a trapper. Now she felt trapped herself. “Gather up the town! Tonight we have our revenge on our tormentor!” The townsfolk began to cheer loudly before Maria felt a heavy bonk on the back of her head.
Tumblr media
Smoke and constraints aroused the girl from her unwanted slumber. She looked around in a panic. The sky was shimmering with stars, but black smoke began to pollute the skyline.
“She’s awake! The party can start!” One of the townsfolk notified the rest. Maria attempted to move but couldn't as she looked down, below her was a small sea of fire just barely missing her toes. Rope bound her to a tall post.
“Who gets first dibs!?”
“I got it!” She felt a smack and splat against her face as someone clocked her with a tomato that exploded against her. The crowd below her began to holler.
“Me next! She stole from my stall most often!” One woman protested and pelted Maria in the gut with a good sized rock. Quickly more and more rocks began to pelt and bruise Maria. She began to feel her eyes sting as the pain was rapidly becoming overwhelming.
“Please stop!” She wailed over the roaring mob which was greeted with laughter.
“Hear that everyone?!”
“She’s crying!”
“She’s begging trash like us to stop!”
“Give her hell!”
“She didn’t listen to our cries, why should we hers!”
Maria continued to take the onslaught, she had no choice and every single object that hit her chipped away little by little at her pride, her fire to survive. It was all her fault she was in this situation. Had she never gotten so greedy and wanted a devil fruit. She'd still be with her father happily in Mariejois. She wouldn’t have been stuck with this trash, forced to live below them.
“Hold on!” A feminine voice took over the crowd. The mob turned their heads to see a woman with blue hair pulling back an arrow in her bow. “Once the arrow is in. Aim for it.” The arrow whizzed in the air before piercing Maria in her right side, forcing a scream out of her. The mob followed up quickly by continuing their onslaught of rocks, vegetables and even a few attempted to take arrow shots.
“What’s going on here?” A gruff voice asked a townsfolk in the back.
“We found out a celestial dragon who tormented us was removed from Mariejois and has lived on our island for years stealing from us.”
“Oh a little revenge. Rather beautiful.” The voice’s owner, a large obese man with a hairy chest, a captain's hat, red coat and unusually long boots that merged at his hips, began to let out a hearty chuckle.
“Wait a minute- RUN IT’S THE BOOT PIRATES!!!” cried out the one townsfolk and caused a mass panic. The long booted figure made his way through the panic and kicked down the pole which constrained Maria who had fallen unconscious from the pain.
“I’ll be taking this, I bet the slave auction would go wild for you.” He once again let out a hearty laugh while he freed and re-constrained Maria before carrying her off to his ship.
The salt from the sea water poured into Maria’s nostrils waking her from yet another forceful slumber. “Hello?” Her voice was weak from her desperate please from the previous night.
“Oh you’re awake, good good.” The booted man sat opposite of Maria who was leant against a wall. “My doctor said you’ll be fine, maybe a scar or two on your hip where you were shot but alive.”
“Let me go, you pirate!” Maria attempted to flail only to hurt herself and wince.
“Lil lady. I just saved you from your own demise. You should be thanking me. Now you’re gonna help me out here. We’re on our way to Sabaody Archipelago, not too far from where we are now, just a few more days.” The man adjusted his boots while speaking. “I’m sure you would know all too well what lays there.”
“You wouldn’t dare. I’m a celestial dragon!”
“Bwah hah hah!” The man couldn’t help but laugh at the pathetic sight in front of him. “You were! Seeing how those townsfolk treated you I bet there’s a sicko who’d pay big money to torture you for the rest of your life!” Maria sunk down and everything began to feel dull. From being thrown out by the celestial dragons, to tortured by townsfolk, to captive to a pirate crew and then to slavery. She had fallen all the way down to the bottom of the trash. “Don’t get too sad on me lil lady. I had some crewmates dig up dirt on you. You got devil fruit powers. Why don’t you show me. Let’s keep raising that price tag the auction house is gonna pay me.” Maria didn’t know what else to do and she complied and her matted hair began to slither on the floor. “Maybe some weird freak would love to use you for who knows what.” His chuckle felt much more ominous than before and Maria stopped using her power. “Why don’t we clean you up for the auction, I’ve got a few ladies on my crew. They can fix your hair and hide some of those bruises.” He stood laughing once more and leaving Maria alone with her thoughts for a moment. She may have soon been given company but nothing felt more insulting right now than being ‘dressed up’ to be auctioned off to some freak right now.

“Only 100,000 berries!? You’re killing me Disco!” The booted man’s shouts interrupted the head auctioneer who sported a weirdly shaped hat with flowers.
“I can’t even be sure she’ll sell for that! We don’t often get her crowd of people here.” Disco snarkily retorted. “Take it or leave it before it falls further.”
“Fine.” The booted man tossed Maria towards Disco who had two employees catch her.
“Careful with the merchandise.” Disco then let out a sigh as he contemplated how he was going to market this peculiar piece of merchandise. “Perhaps as a mystery main event? I can’t have her wait till the end. We have a very special and low patient guest today. I guess we’ll peak in the middle. Who knows maybe she won’t even sell and that will crush the auction. That damned boot.”
“We still do have a mermaid, remember. She’s under 30.” One employee calmly reminded Disco as he took Maria behind bars to wait for her turn.
“Oh yes, beautiful. Mermaid after her to recover incase of failure.”
A large pink ship anchored at Grove One of Sabaody. The ship’s head is a flamingo wearing red sunglasses with oddly shaped white frames. The sides had large wing designs. And the jolly roger was a simple circle with one line of teeth for the bottom, two eyes and a line through the left eye.
“Is that the Donquixote pirates?” A passerby began to sweat as they headed to the auction house.
“Yeah. What are they doing here… Didn’t their leader become a warlord of the sea recently?”
“Keep your head down and just get to the auction house, they might hear you idiot!” One passerby whispered.
“Young master, we have arrived.” a young woman calmly stood in the doorway of the captain's quarters and informed the captain. A blonde male with very short hair. His legs on top of his desk and crossed at his heels. He was leaning back with his hands in the pocket of his white pants. A white dress shirt unbuttoned showed his tan chest. A massive pink feather coat draped over his shoulders and red sunglasses hid his eyes. He gave the woman a large toothy grin as he slowly uncrossed his legs and rose.
“Wonderful, for how long a trip it is here from Dressrosa, it’d have better been worth it.” His arrogant voice filled the room. His oddly wide steps as he made his way out of the captains quarters and onto the main deck, making him stand out even more.
“Would you like anything prepared while you're at the auction young master?” The woman bowed down whilst the man's pink coat fluttered by her nose.
“Have the ship ready to leave for Dressrosa at a moment's notice.” He ordered while he walked down the stairs to the main deck and then off the ship to the auction house.
The auction house itself was bustling with activity as many a noble clambered for seats, word had spread about the mystery and that there was also a young mermaid. Bright lights engulfed the main stage where Disco stood with a microphone in one hand and using the other to hide his mouth as he conversed with a few employees on the order of items and any last minute needs. The man with the feathered coat entered and sat above in an extravagantly large red chair with a view of the entire audience and stage. A single employee wordlessly bowed and offered a list of the items to the man who lazily took it while relaxing into the large chair, one hand holding the list so he may scan it, the other being propping up his head while he leant on the arm of the chair.
Ambient music began and the lights on the stage dimmed ever so slightly leaving one brighter patch where Disco stood.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We have a very special auction for you tonight, our normally biggest fish, a young female mermaid, is number two to our main event!” The audience cheered and murmured in excitement about the mermaid and possibilities of what this main event could be. “Now it’d only be fitting for a big auction like this to start big!” The curtains that acted as a backdrop began to rise revealing a giant.
Maria who was slumped and chained against a wall heard the excitement of the auction faintly. She couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge that many of the other items were glaring at her. Her kind most often bought and toyed with them and they were so close to being able to get a little catharsis, yet so far. Little by little the cage she was held in became emptier and emptier and she felt the life drain from her more and more, her eyes had long since grown dull and tired from the whirlwind that was her last few days. The bleak reality that laid in front of her weighed her down.
“It’s your turn c’mon.” An employee jostled Maria who lazily shuffled along what may as well be death row for her. The excited murmurs of the crowd growing louder, she could now begin to make out the head auctioneer’s sell job.
“The moment you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived, it’s time to meet tonight’s special item, we’ve had this young lady properly appraised and everything I’m about to tell you is true to the letter.” The man in the feathered coat rolled his eyes. The auction had long become dull. “Tonight’s main event has fallen ungracefully from the holy land of Mariejois! She has consumed a devil fruit and just turned into a mature woman if you catch my drift!” The crowd was silent and something had finally caught the man with the feathered coat’s attention, as Maria stepped onto the stage before being thrust down onto her knees.
Disco continued to try his best and sell Maria while unease and whispering began to fill the auction house. “I’m sure plenty of you have encountered a celestial dragon in your time here at this very auction house, seeing how they can rip away anything of yours on a whim.” Disco spoke carefully, despite no dragons showing for this auction, you could never be too careful. “Wouldn’t you like to see one grovel at your feet? One beg you for the torment you put it through to stop? Or perhaps you have some acquired taste.” Disco turned to Maria who was blankly staring towards the crowd. It almost insulted her more that no one had jumped at the chance to own her. Was she not even good enough to be a slave? “Would you be so kind as to show us that devil fruit of yours?” Maria complied and her hair that had been cut to her waist snaked its way down before slithering along the floor a few feet around her, her hair having separated into small sections reminiscent of flower petals. “This item is a once in a lifetime opportunity, no joke, we get mermaids now and then but a celestial dragon who fell from grace? We may never see this again in the history of the world! Why don’t we get this auction started, do I have 200,000 Berries!?” The crowd hushed and Maria began to tremble, she was worth more than that and yet no one even bothered to bid. Were they afraid of her? How could they be she had no power.
“I’ll give you a bag of seeds instead.” One audience member had broken the silence. Greeted by a few muffled posh laughs that spread through the auction house.
“Would a stone be above that?” The snarky comments poured in, Maria allowed her head to droop and amidst everyone cracking jokes a well dressed gentleman had snuck on stage and towered over Maria.
“I’ll give you one berry for her.” His posh voice was tainted with sarcasm as he pulled out a pistol he had tucked away in his suit. Maria finally decided to speak and verbalize her frustration.
“You dare compare me to the stones you walk on, then offer a single berry for a divine being like myself?” Maria’s voice and body was trembling with rage as she looked up and stared down the pistol. Her tired pupils seemed so small and shook. A broken, infuriated smile had taken over her lips.
“Precisely.” The man shook the pistol in an attempt to threaten Maria. Maria simply began to wheeze out a laugh.
“You don’t have it in you.” Maria taunted whilst the gentleman raised an eyebrow and readied the pistol.
“I don’t? Watch your mouth slave.”
“None of you could possibly pull that trigger!” Maria became hysterical as she stared down death. “You are all filth and dirt on the bottom of my feet!” Even if nothing mattered with death moving in for her she had to die with her pride. “I am divine! So go ahead kill a god! You can’t!” Maria’s words were drowned out as the gun fired. Everything felt like it froze. The bullet inched closer and closer and Maria dared not flinch. Just as the bullet would have met its target, it stopped mid air.
“W-what?” The gentleman had begun to freak out as not only had his bullet stopped and suddenly dropped to the floor, his own hand began to point his gun towards himself. A haunting chuckle took over the auction house as the pink coated man made his way down the stairs and to the stage.
“That was quite the performance, little lady.” Maria stared towards her savior. With one hand in his pocket and the other contorting and almost dancing in the air while the gentleman’s mouth opened and the gun placed inside.
“J-Joker please I apologize for the chaos, this never happens.” Disco begged his superior for forgiveness.
“Apologize? Had this not happened I would have left this snooze fest.” The audience began to murmur as they recognized the recently appointed warlord of the sea, the captain of the Donquixote pirates, Donquixote Doflamingo. Maria couldn’t help but feel like the now spotlight on her savior made him radiant. A muffled please don’t came from the gentleman before one more bang rang out and the gentleman fell backwards, blood leaking onto the floorboards of the stage. “Now keep the auction going, we’re at one berry.” Doflamingo commanded as he struts around Maria getting a proper look.
“D-do we have any other bids?” Disco's voice trembled for a moment as he collected himself. The audience remained silent. No one dared to challenge for a bid, it all was superficial and mattered not, they knew whatever they said would be out bid. By this point Doflamingo had already decided he’d out bid anyone, why risk upsetting such a pirate. While Disco desperately tried to get the audience to bid, Doflamingo squatted down behind Maria.
“W-what do you want?” Maria had finally had her adrenalin rush fade and felt the fear of being so close to such a pirate, yet that fear swealed in her stomach, it contorted into a knot of fear and joy.
“They don’t litter my wanted poster all over of Mariejois as a warning then? That’s a shame.” His deep chuckle after he spoke reverberated in Maria’s chest and she had finally clued in.
“Y-you’re Donquixote Doflamingo?” Suddenly that fear quelled a little, perhaps someone like him understood her struggle. Maybe, just maybe she’d not live surrounded by trash but by someone like her once more, someone divine.
“In the flesh, tell me your name Dove.” Maria’s heart began to flutter at the idea, the hope of hearing her name come from this god behind her, he had already blessed her with hope and a new name if he cared not for her current one.
“Saint Maria.” She was quick to answer, she needed him to save her once more, she couldn’t stand the idea of knowing he had been right behind her, his warm breath passing by her ear and then having to leave his side and be below the trash that lacked any respect for her.
“Already so obedient.” Maria could hear the smirk forming on his lips. Disco had looked defeated, not only had he failed to sell such a unique item, he did so in front of his boss, surely his life was at stake. “Disco.” His body and mind halted. “I’ll cut you a deal since I’m in such a good mood. I’ll reimburse you her cost if I get to take her with me.” Maria’s eyes had widened, the brown color no longer dull but restored. Disco rapidly began to thank his boss for the bailout and ordered some employees to remove Maria’s restraints as well as the self detonating collar via Doflamingo’s request.
“We shall take a short break to clean up and then return.” Disco informed the bidders who stayed seated as Doflamingo walked by with Maria right beside him. His hulking figure made the normally tall woman seem so small, so frail.
“I think that was enough of this snore fest don’t you?” Doflamingo asked Maria who nodded and let out a mhm sound.

“Young master, I see you found something interesting at today's auction. We are ready to sail, would you like me to prepare her?” The woman from before bowed and asked.
“Yes, get her out of those rags she was given then send her to my quarters.” Doflamingo waved the two women off while he went to his quarters.
“Come this way.” The woman led Maria down to a servant room where there were two bunks, one empty the other for the woman leading Maria. “I see the young master removed your collar.”
“Yes, I am indebted to that gracious man.” Maria swooned as she was assisted with changing into a simple pink dress with a feather pattern at the bottom. “Are you also from the auction house?” Maria was so over the moon about being free from that torment she hadn’t really taken in her situation.
“I was yes.” The woman furrowed her eyebrows as she walked around Maria thinking. “I can’t believe your collar was removed so fast, he must like you. So what’s your story.” The woman began making slight adjustments to the dress’ fit on Maria.
“I’m a-” Maria cut herself off. “I was a celestial dragon, just like him.” She may still be divine but after everything she has begun to resent associating with them. The woman nearly choked on her own spit. “Don't ruin this dress, I need to continue my good first impression.” Maria almost panicked at the thought of upsetting her savior.
“Y-yes I understand.” The woman finally understood why the lady in front of her was so special, why she was freed of her slave collar. She had her own unique collar already within a matter of minutes, infatuation. The only reason she could assume the young master had purchased her must have been for some deep personal reason, after all why would a king need to buy a slave when he had a country at his feet now. “Would you be so kind as to let me style your hair?” The woman had hoped her request wasn’t crossing boundaries, she had accompanied the young master before and seen how nobles acted.
“You want to style my hair?” Maria’s eyes sparkled with excitement, she had never had someone other than her mother and the slaves do her hair and only her mother ever asked, the slaves were all ordered so her father didn’t deal with her. “Go ahead, If you need more or less for what you wish to do let me know I’ve got a bit of a talent.” She giggled before skipping onto a bunk sitting at one end while the woman sat at the other and began to work relieved to have not upset the potential landmine in front of her.
“We should be done. What do you think?” The woman gently inquired, while she was proud she still worried for the thoughts of her canvas.
“It's…” Maria went silent as she admired her hair. It had been braided almost like a crown along the sides of her head before meeting at the back in a bun that looked almost like a rose. “Unbelievable. I might just have to keep you as my own personal stylist.” Maria, still over the moon, had let her drilled in dragon mannerisms slip away and shone a bright smile to the woman. “Maybe not all people outside of Mariejois are trash.” The woman felt a sting in her eyes.
“T-thank you, p-please go on and don’t keep the young master waiting.” Maria hopped up and exited the cabin onto the main deck absorbing last embers of the setting sun. Behind that spoiled and bratty exterior was a little girl who dreamed of being a princess, ushered away from the woes of the world by a prince. The woman thought as she sat on her bunk collecting herself she still had to bring dinner and could not allow a moment of weakness just yet, not when the young master could call upon her.
Maria made her way up to the captain’s quarters. She gently knocked on the door twice, getting muffled enter from behind the door. As she entered she did her best to curtsy. It had certainly been a few years so she was a little out of practice but nonetheless she had earned a minor chuckle.
“C’mere.” Doflamingo ushered Maria to his side where a stool sat, she made her way over and sat down, her nervous mind a wreck, she was sitting right beside him again. This time no longer chained but free, how should she act, how would he want to be addressed, he did buy her from the auction, was she just a slave to him? Doflamingo simply watched the gears turn in Maria’s head while he himself pondered the goal of this acquisition. It was a rare heat of the moment action for him, he didn’t need a servant, he would have plenty in Dressrosa, he certainly didn’t need a plaything woman threw themselves at him in Dressrosa, he was their king. Perhaps simply having her belong to him was all he needed, yes that was all the reason he needed.
“Young master?” Maria had settled on this being the best approach, it was what the slave had called him, while she hated the idea of being on equal footing this felt like her best option. That certainly had a nice ring to it, but if she was truly something so special to him, perhaps she could skip a few steps on the ladder she would much rather address such a spectacular man by his name, maybe even a nickname one day when she was far more sure of her stability. This situation, while a blessing, was far more harrowing to navigate then surviving in the wilderness. How else do you treat a god than utter obedience, but when you’re divine yourself how do you attempt to keep equal footing. It had simply been so long since she was in a position to have wiggle room, a voice to be heard. Doflamingo raised a brow and gave a hum of acknowledgement. “What exactly is our arrangement?” Maria began to hold her breath, did she dare speak her mind clearer, and risk being seen as biting the hand that saved her. She must, she isn’t just some ordinary slave. She was divine herself, he would respect that to some degree surely. “I would ideally not like to be another run of the mill slave-” A finger pressed against her lips quieting her oncoming rambling.
“My dear Dove.” That nickname once again, her heart skipped a beat, his deep voice had rapidly become a soothing sound on her ears, no matter the undertones. “Our arrangement is such. You are mine, you do as I say and I’ll give you what you desire.” He was what she wanted, to stay by his side. That was security, that was safety. She couldn’t help but stare into his lenses, while all she saw was her, it still gave her comfort that he was looking back behind those crimson shades. He removed his finger from her lips, as if to signal her to respond.
“I understand.” She hesitated for a second, nervous that this was a mistake but finished her sentence. “Doflamingo.”
Sailing back to Dressrosa, was a simple journey for the experienced crew but certainly became more annoying with the ever growing comfortable mini-flamingo onboard. Maria while not nearly as cruel as Captain Doflamingo was, she was however at times unreasonable and drove the crew off the wall when she wasn’t contained in the captain’s quarters, instead constantly talking her mouth off or even once she attempted to lend a hand during a cannon fight with another ship once across the Red-Line into the New World. Her assistance only cost them a shot, her miss so terrible that while she was being scolded by one of the actual cannon operators Doflamingo’s laugh dominated the soundscape. While Maria was starting to gel and freshen up her social skills as well as her dragon mannerisms. Doflamingo had much to consider, while he was certainly confident word in Dressrosa would stay in Dressrosa about the king having a personal attendant, what would more powerful forces say. Would the navy dare bare their teeth at him? Would a future customer attempt blackmail? One thing was certain, once Maria had stepped foot onto Dressrosa she would never take another step off without him there. This woman had stolen a minute corner of his brain and needed to be caged properly, it wouldn’t be hard, she was already indebted to him. Just a few simple tugs in the right direction.
The Donquixote ship had finally docked at Dressrosa late into the night, Maria was out cold on a couch in the captain's quarters, the smell of burning wax of a candle and the lingering scents of Doflamingo on the cushions had sent her into a deep slumber. With a few hush orders, Maria was carried off to a room in the castle he had requested made for her. She needed to be close but she couldn’t be too close, he had already felt himself becoming too attached to the woman. With quick flicks of his fingers he soared through the night sky, skipping off his own strings to the castle.

Maria could barely wake up when the sun was dancing through a window onto her face. The lush bedding, the silky and fluffy pillows, the warm and heavy blankets had her wrapped up in the idea of sleeping in. The smell of breakfast forced her awake, sweet maple syrup, starting to melt butter and the aroma of powdered sugar, pancakes. Maria rolled over to see a tray, with three stacked fluffy pancakes and an icy glass of water dripping with condensation. It was like she was a little girl all over again, a luxurious bed and breakfast warm and ready to draw her away from resting more. As she sluggishly sat up she examined the golden tray, it held her breakfast and required utensils as well as a note and timetable? It was littered with schedules and names of people she had no idea of. Only one name was recognizable and that was Doflamingos. His schedule was simply torn out. As she examined the note she noticed the tears at the edges. ‘Welcome home Dove.’ It read on one side but flipped. It was a schedule but not a single slot was filled, but there was one more section of writing. ‘Enjoy your present.’ What present? The door clicked and opened, in the doorway was the woman from before.
“My lady, may I enter?” She bowed in the doorway. Maria put two and two together based on how she was addressed.
“Yes you may, would you be able to fill me in. Doflamingo certainly left plenty out when we discussed our arrangement.” Maria sunk her fork into the delicate pastry before her, carving out a piece and indulging her hunger for quality food.
“Of course.” The woman shut the door behind herself and pulled a stool opposite of Maria before she began to explain the situation to the girl before her. “You are in the kingdom of Dressrosa where the young master reigns as king. I have been assigned to be your personal servant, I will be at your beck and call for whatever you may need.” Maria nodded as she continued her delectable breakfast. It was nice to have a slave back under her control, but she couldn’t help but feel like perhaps her years of isolation and this woman's gentle attitude had earned her a slightly better title than slave in her mind. Was she being too soft? That was something to discuss with Doflamingo, a good reality check. “Once breakfast is completed I will help you prepare for the morning. The young master instructed me to give you a tour of the castle and introduce you to the family.”
“The family?” Maria spoke after a large swallow.
“Anyone who is a higher up in the Donquixote pirates is part of the young masters family, the one exception being you.” The woman borrowed the blank schedule and pulled a pen from her apron and drew a little higher-archy. “The young master is the top, followed by the top executives and then below them are the standard executives. You stand somewhere between here.” The woman drew a line with two sides of arrows pointing between Doflamingo and the top executives. “I know a lady as radiant as yourself would like to be as high as the young master.” Maria pursed her lips a moment before letting out a deep breath from her nose, the woman began to sweat slightly, worried she had already upset her new master.
“That…” Maria paused and then relaxed her shoulders. “Is acceptable.” The woman let out a sigh of relief. She had no idea what she was getting into, she’d had served Doflamingo and he was certainly a special man who she could not afford slip ups with. This young lady seemed to have more patience than him, but she was a celestial dragon like the young master was, nature or perhaps the young master had softened and reigned her in already. “I have a request for you.”
“Whatever it is, consider it done my lady.”
“I’d like your name.”
“Penny, my lady.”
“Well Penny.” Maria rose from the bed as she had finished her breakfast. “Shall we pick out something cute? I have no idea about the fashion in Dressrosa, or how I should do my hair.” Maria headed over to a large wardrobe.
“Of course.” Penny quickly accompanied her new master. “We can go to the market if you’d like later and properly fill this up.”
“That would be wonderful.” As Maria scanned the half filled wardrobe it was very clear to her she only had her necessities and some of them certainly seemed a little personal. “Any suggestions?”
“It will get warm in the afternoon…” Penny’s voice tailed off as she thought and looked through the wardrobe, taking out a pair of rather short pink shorts, knee high socks, pastel pink mary janes with a small platform, a nearly white but hinted pink short sleeve dress shirt and the piece de-resistance a pink coat with a feathered collar and cuffs. “You can put the jacket around your waist if you get too warm.” Maria snagged the clothes eagerly.
“Wonderful, turn around now while I change.” Penny did as told and turned, she took a couple steps forward grabbing an expensive looking hair brush that sat on a small pillow, the pillow lay on a desk with a mirror and stool for Maria to sit and pamper herself if she so chose. The sound of fabric slipping off and shuffling was all that was in the room as Maria had changed. “I’m thinking, something simple and classic for my hair today.”
“A ponytail and bow sound good my lady?” Penny opened a draw scanning through the assortment of accessories, finding a large silky pastel pink bow.
“Very good.” Maria sat in the stool once changed and allowed Penny to swiftly work. “What is the family like?”
“They all are wonderful, perhaps a little intense.” the soft sound of the gentle bristles running through Maria’s hair accompanied Penny’s voice. “I should prepare you for two specific members' special traits however.” Maria hummed in response. Her legs gently swayed. “Master Pica has a rather high voice, it’d be in your best interest to not comment and Master Trebol does not understand personal space.” Penny finished brushing and began to contain Maria’s hair high on the back of her head.
“I will hold my tongue, I suppose, if that would make Doflamingo happy.” Maria sighed, it was a sacrifice she’d have to make, if Doflamingo considered them family, maybe it’d end up like Penny, a pleasant individual.
“It would be very important to the young master.” Penny stepped back once the ponytail was in place. “My lady you look wonderful, shall we begin the tour?” Maria stood and nodded as she walked back to her bed and grabbed the time table, putting names to faces would be important, this was her new family after all.
Tumblr media
The tour was swimming along, Maria had found the library, the kitchen, dining hall and throne room. All unoccupied at the moment. Marias tour continued to the garden where a few servants were at work pruning flowers, trimming hedges and watering needs.
“It’s beautiful out here.” Maria wandered around peering over the shoulders of servants and squatting down at certain flowers for smells. “I’m unfamiliar with all of these plants. Are they all from here?”
“Yes, all flora is native to Dressrosa.” Penny then showed Maria a large hedge in the shape of a flamingo getting a snort from the lady.
“Charming.” She managed through a few gentle giggles as she covered her mouth partially with her hand.
“The young master has splendid taste, no?”
“He certainly does.” Maria agreed, her laughter was not in fun of her savior, she found it adorable. This big bad pirate had a gentle and serene garden with hedge art of his animal namesake, it very much pleased her.
“M’lady could I interest you in a hedge for yourself?” One of the gardening servants asked Maria. Who jumped on the idea.
“Yes please, would you be able to make a dove?”
“Most certainly, I shall request your presence once completed.” The gardener went to work post haste.
“I missed having such a wonderful garden at my fingertips.” Maria continued to wander the garden sitting on the edge of a large stone fountain. “My father would garden with me, it was one of the rare times he didn’t delegate me to my mother or the slaves.”
“Is there a plant you would like to add? I can arrange for us to grow it, my lady.” Penny pulled out a notepad, ready to make arraignments right there. Maria put a finger to her chin and thought. Most flora from Mariejois was of no interest to her anymore, this was an opportunity to explore, she had all the flora in the world at her fingertips.
“Give me a few days of going through some almanacs and I’ll give you an answer.” Maria had decided on not deciding for now. She simply absorbed the rays of sun that warmed her.
“Of course.” Penny returned her notepad to her apron. “We should continue our tour, by now I’m sure a few members of the family should be at the pool.” Maria hopped up, the idea of sitting by the water absorbing the sun sounding spectacular.
Tumblr media
By the time the two had arrived at the pool the hustle and bustle of the castle had picked up and Maria could finally hear muffled voices.
“Do you think Doflamingo will be there?” Maria hoped out loud to Penny.
“Possibly, I have no idea what he is up to today.” The young master wouldn’t dare wander too far on your first day, you may not see him but he’ll be there my lady. “Are you going to be alright?”
“I will be fine.” Maria took her first step into the pool area, the sun dancing off her. The pool was crystal clear minus the effeminate looking boy with horns swimming and long chairs lay ready for company to tan. An excessively large couch sits at the end of the pool nearest the entryway. Off to the left was a large man with buck teeth that had the jolly roger of the Donquixote pirates on them. He seemed to be teasing a young teenage female with black hair.
“Buffalo, would you shut your mouth!” The black haired one shouted while she stomped her foot.
“It was an honest question Baby 5, you're getting to the point where it’s weird you haven’t had your first boyfriend.” Buffalo simply continued his teasing much to Baby 5’s dismay.
“Oh yeah?!” Baby 5 looked to Maria. “You, settle something for us!” Maria pointed at herself confused. “Yes you, get over here.” Maria made her way over. “You look like a well put together lady, when did you have your first boyfriend?” Maria was taken aback, no what's your name just straight into this childish struggle. However one problem remained, Maria would be no help in this argument.
“Well about that.” Maria began before Buffalo let out a dumb laugh and cut Maria off.
“You haven’t had one yet either?!” He taunted, Maria was fuming with anger and embarrassment, her cheeks had begun to feel warm. She bit her tongue for a moment, reminding herself to hold her tongue. She simply couldn’t afford to upset anyone just yet, but this guy was clearly just an officer, she should stand her ground.
“You dare taunt me like that, do you know who I am?” She retorted only to get a response that blew her top off.
“You’re the young master's new play thing!” Maria had already had enough of this dope, but before she could exact her revenge his laughter was cut off by Baby 5 jamming her fist into his gut.
“Don’t bother with him, he’s always like this. Head in the clouds.” Baby 5 sighed before properly greeting Maria. “You’re the newest addition to the family, Dove. I’m Baby 5.” Maria felt her chest twinge in delight, she was his dove and that's how he introduced her to his family, how wonderful.
“Thank you for that.” Maria focused herself back on the conversation at hand. “You’re the first members of the family I’ve met other than Doflamingo.”
“Oh then you are in for a very fun afternoon. Most of my family is out around this time.”
“Why, this castle so far seems wonderful.”
“There's the colosseum for starters, that’s where Diamante spends most of his time. Trebol has been glued to Sugar.” As Baby 5 continued to list off where members of the family were Maria’s head span as she attempted to intake the information. “Uh are you alright?” Maria snapped back to reality, she must have begun going cross eyed and looked like smoke was coming out of her ears.
“Of course.” Maria attempted to dismiss the idea she was overwhelmed very unconvincingly. “Just with so many members perhaps observing a dinner or something would be a little easier to digest.” Penny couldn’t help but stifle a laugh at the irony of her master's words. “So, who's the one swimming?” Maria pointed to the still swimming boy.
“That’s little Dellinger, he’s a fighting-fish fish-man.” A fish-man, he certainly didn’t look as fishy as many other fishman she had seen as slaves.
“My lady, if I may intrude, we still have other sites to see.” Maria nodded to acknowledge her servant.
“I will be off then, it was a pleasure to meet you Baby 5, we should sit and chat over tea sometime.” Maria smiled before following Penny off.
“How was your first taste of the family?” Penny inquired while leading Maria down from the pool area and through the castle.
“It was fine, they seemed nice enough. Baby 5 seemed a bit young to be a pirate, no?” Maria emphasized enough before she allowed her curiosity to continue.
“The young master takes anyone with potential, Buffalo and Baby 5 have been part of the family since they were much younger. They had another child with them for a while, I am unsure what happened to him however.”
“So he’s like an older brother to them?”
“Exactly. Now after the royal plateau, where would you like to stop by?” Penny asked as she and Maria stepped into an elevator.
“Do we have money on us? I’d love to have a good shopping spree.” It sure had been a long time since she could freely roam a market.
“Of course, would you like me to request for a toy to help carry your things?”
“A toy?” Maria raised an eyebrow, how would a toy help?
“Oh yes you are new, my apologizes my lady. Dressrosa is a very wonderful place where we have walking, talking toys.”
“Then absolutely, and one for when my feet get tired.” Maria wiggled her toes in excitement at the idea of such large toys. Penny nodded and made a call on a small transponder snail from her apron.
Tumblr media
The market of Dressrosa was certainly lively, people and toys both intermingling, dancing, playing music, the streets were certainly packed but wherever Maria stepped the space always cleared up, much to her delight, she couldn’t imagine having to shove her way through. Her shopping started off slow as she was unsure just how deep her coffers were but when Penny assured her it was all taken care of by Doflamingo she simply couldn’t help herself, whether the item was something for her or something she thought Doflamingo might enjoy on her. She was having a grand time, this is what it meant to be alive, what she wanted when she wanted. Once she had her fill of shopping, the toys were sent off to the royal plateau where castle servants would receive Maria’s bounty.
“The colosseum should be nearing the end, I think it’d be wonderful for you to go watch. You should be able to go watch in Doflamingo’s personal observation deck.” Penny offered to keep her lady busy till dinner.
“Ohh, let’s make haste!” The two quickly made their way to the colosseum where video transponder snails were projecting the action inside between gladiators. A woman was working the reception as Maria and Penny approached.
“I’m sorry but seats are all-” The woman was cut off by Maria butting in.
“Excuse me?” This was her moment, the first instance of disrespect by someone below her that she could tell off. “Do you have any idea who I am?” The receptionist clued into Penny standing beside Maria, properly intaking the sheer amount of pink on the woman in front of her.
“Have more respect for the young master’s mistress.” Penny advocated while Maria had her chest lightened at the comment of being Doflamingo’s mistress.
“I-I’m so terribly sorry, please right this way.” The receptionist led the way to Doflamingo’s private nest.
“That’s better.” Maria huffed as she followed. “You are lucky I’m in a good mood this afternoon.”
“T-thank you for your forgiveness, everything you’ll need is in here.” The receptionist stopped at a door which Penny opened for Maria. The room was simple, it had a large chair that overlooked the entire colosseum, a pair of hanging candles and a carpet from the door to the chair. Maria leaned over the balcony deciding it’d be best not to sit in the chair, she was simply going to struggle to view over the railing. The roaring crowd over the sounds of blades clashing and blood splattering on the ground sent a small shiver up Maria’s back. This was beautiful, people fighting and dying for her entertainment, oh how she missed it.
“My lady, may I fetch anything for you?” Penny asked from behind the chair.
“Guard the door. I don't want to be disturbed unless it’s someone important.” Penny nodded and stood by the door while Maria felt her stomach twist in sadistic pleasure, it was slowly but surely coming back to her, while she had to remind herself to stay aware of the family, this was exactly what she needed. “Penny, there is one thing you could do for me actually.”
“What is it my lady?” Penny quickly sprang to attention.
“I need a chair, Doflamingo’s is simply too big for me, I'd struggle to see over the railing.”
“Right away.” Penny was gone in a flash while Maria continued to contently watch as the gladiators below dwindled down faster and faster. She heard a knock and turned her head, her ponytail slipping over her shoulder. “Who is it?”
“Penny and I have an important guest with me.” Was slightly muffled behind the door.
“You may enter.” Maria fully turned and tossed her hair behind her as Penny and a very tall Brunette with a long cape and fancier pirate attire themed like diamonds entered.
“This is master Diamante, he’s in charge of the colosseum and like you know from this morning a top executive.”
“So you’re Doffy’s Dove.” Diamante approached extending a hand. “A pleasure, does today’s entertainment suffice?”
“It’s exceptional.” She gently took his hand giving a shake. He seemed rather pleasant, Penny hadn’t warned her about any odd quirks which was a relief judging by the other Family she had heard off and seen. “You have an eye for proper entertainment.”
“No no, it’s nothing.” He insisted, Maria walked to the railing again and Diamante followed.
“You do, this is spectacular, I haven’t felt this much of a rush in forever.” Maria protested as she gazed out.
“Really there’s no need, it's nothing.” He continued to fight off her compliments.
“If you say so.” Maria then flinched as Diamante raised his voice in acceptance.
“Okay fine fine! It is spectacular, I have an eye for good entertainment!” Maria shook her head before sneaking a glance to Penny who shrugged like oops I forgot about that, warranting a small glare from her master.
“So.” Maria went to change the subject, getting a hm from Diamante. “You called him Doffy, do you think I could call him that too.” She placed her hands on her cheeks at the idea of getting to call him such an adorable nickname. Diamante snickered a little before commenting.
“You are his Dove aren’t you? You hold almost as much power as the top executives, I don’t think he’d give a crap what you called him.” Maria swung one of her legs up and down in joy as she leaned over the railing. Her mind starts to get lost at the idea of sitting in her Doffy’s large lap watching the violence below, her hair being stroked. She gently cooed Doffy as she stroked her own hair completely entranced.
“My lady, do not get lost in daydream mid conversation.” Penny’s voice jolted Maria back to reality where she pulled her hair over her face in utter embarrassment only warranting more taunting laughter from Diamante.
“And the battle is over!” The announcer’s voice concluded the entertainment at the colosseum.
“I suppose I shall make my way back to the palace.” Diamante’s laughter had subsided. “I look forward to you joining the family at dinner.” He informed her before departing. Maria silently screamed as Penny approached.
“We should return as well, I’m sure the young master will be there as well as the entire family.” Maria simply nodded, stuffing her hands into her coat pockets as the two left.
Tumblr media
Once outside the already packed dining hall Maria heard a familiar voice behind her. One that had shoved any other embarrassment that lingered away.
“How was my Dove’s first day in Dressrosa?” Doflamingo’s question was superficial, after all he dared not let his Dove walk Dressrosa with a slave. Regardless of where she was, he was always watching. Maria quickly spun, her hair twirling behind. Her eyes light up brightly, it had simply been too long without him.
“Doffy!” She shouted happily, clasping her hands together excitedly. “It was good, I missed you though, she’s fine company but it would have been better with you there.” She gestured towards Penny before back to Doflamingo he chuckled lightly, his large hand gently tracing a finger along her delicate cheek.
“Can’t even go a few hours without me can you?” Maria’s cheeks flared up a vibrant pink, only more amusing to Doflamingo. “I figured you’d enjoy a day like you used to have.”
“A-and I did, I just would've much preferred spending the day with you.” Maria looked away twirling her fingers in her hair to cope with her overwhelming flusteredness, her rapidly beating heart, her body temperature rising, it was all so much around him. “Perhaps after dinner I could spend some time with you?” That was a beautiful sign of her mindset, she needed him.
“Let’s focus on dinner first.” He leaned close, his warm breath tickled her ears. He waved to dismiss Penny from duty, having already decided he would spend the evening with his Dove. As the two entered the dining hall, the table was set and only two seats sat unfilled, the head seat for Doflamingo and the seat to his left. Servants quickly pulled out the chairs and had the two sit before silver platters were brought in and set on the table. Most of the family was already mid conversation in anticipation for the meal. Maria simply watched, scanning quickly to find who she recognized. At the far end she saw Dellinger, Baby 5 and Buffalo. To her left immediate left was Diamante, across from her sat a rather oozy looking fellow with a club staff and on his right sat a man in armor with spades on his shoulder plates.
The other two top executives, Trebol and Pica. She put the pieces together as a plate was placed in front of her as well as a wine glass filled with a ruby red wine. Before she could get too enamored by the food she felt Diamante’s elbow nudge her and she jumped slightly.
“Stole my spot I see.” He playfully remarked. Maria hadn’t clued in that where she sat one of the other executives would have sat, with that sudden realization.
“I-” She was cut off by Doflamingo who had his usual grin across his face.
“Can’t have her sit too far now can I?” With one hidden flick of his finger under the table, a string tugged her chair along the floor closer to his, he rested his hand on her shoulder, once more increasing the heat in her face. With two more simplistic twitches, her food and wine was pulled beside his, not a spill in sight. Diamante couldn’t help but laugh at the situation and reaction this girl was in. Doflamingo rose from his chair for a moment tapping his glass to get the attention of the table.
Is he going to give a toast?! How do you expect me to keep composure after that!? Maria panicked desperately trying to collect her poor beating heart.
“Members of my family, tonight is a very special occasion. I am honored to be welcoming my little Dove here.” He extended his left hand as if he was presenting Maria. She rose with the gesture. “As the newest member of the Donquixote family.” The other members raised their glasses and Maria joined in. “To Maria, my Dove.” With that the family recited to Maria before taking a sip of all the drinks. “Now feast!” He commanded before falling into his chair, Maria being pulled down by his left hand into hers.
One thing was for certain, with all the hustle and bustle of the family at dinner, there was no lack of entertainment, Maria often found herself busy watching conversations rather than consuming the food before her, she was however not shy about drinking.
“Is the food not to your liking?” Doflamingo asked while he stole a spoonful of Maria’s feast.
“It’s amazing, I just love people watching. I enjoy good finger food for moments like this.” Maria mentioned, not thinking anything of it, she would eat properly, she just wanted to get accustomed to meal times. That however did not fly with Doflamingo. He snapped his fingers, summoning a servant.
“Prepare her something she can absentmindedly eat.” He ordered, the servant darted off to the kitchen.
“Doffy, you didn’t have to do that, I'll be alright. I used to sit and watch people all the time before…” Her voice trailed off, some times when she was stealing food, she had no choice but to hide out and watch for fear of getting caught. She had spent hours one night sitting in a rather full trash can, before she could eat. While not pleasant it was a carry over. During festivities she’d sit and watch from the barren rooftops longing to be home in Mariejois. Doflamingo watched her for a minute as she collected her brain from its crash course of unpleasantry. “I’m used to waiting out for my food. Let’s just say that.” Had her brain not yet understood she was no longer in fight or flight, the food in front of her was not something she was stealing, it was a gift. Doflamingo used the stolen spoon, scooping up some food from her plate and holding the spoon to her face.
“Open up.” His deep voice was quieter, Maria couldn’t understand why for a moment before it clicked and she parted her lips slightly. “Good girl.” He cooed, causing a chill to run up her hips and spark in her brain.
“D-Doffy, I can feed myself.” Maria stammered out, he fed her. It was an act of care, during the trip to Dressrosa, he had the slave and crew tend to her unless he was helping her adjust to formal life. Yes he had done smaller and larger acts, like the wardrobe, the note and all the money she could ever spend. But this was tender, it was direct. In Maria’s short time with him, she had heard many tales that he could be cruel and sadistic. That was her first experience as she watched him blow the brains out of a noble. This however confirmed above all else in her mind that she was occupying some space in that brain of his and not just to be an object. She had value to him.
“Can you?” He teased getting another spoonful ready, Maria decided to enjoy this, her mind forgot about the table, the family. Her only focus was him. Before he even needed to speak her mouth was open. The two continued this little routine, occasionally taking a break to sip wine or allow Doflamingo to eat himself.
This was home. This was everything she had ever wanted. He was her radiant god, her king, her flamingo and she was his sweet little self indulgence, his queen, his dove.

This drabble is part of my summer celebration collection! Prompt: grass Characters featured: Donquixote Doflamingo (One Piece), 2nd person GN Reader Requested by: @hellandcupcakes / @opopnomi [a/n]: I could pick between Smoker and Doffy, but I knew your preference back then was Doffy and I don't shy away from a challenge. Not sure if you're still active here, but in the hopes you see this, hope you're doing great momo!! I think Doffy is a little OOC (too soft) here, but then again, the doffy lovers deserve a little softness here and there.
Tumblr media
Life isn’t easy, being with a warlord. There’s pressure, and danger lurking around every corner. You were also aware of some of the misdeeds your lover had committed, but you couldn’t deny the care and love he put into his family, and by extension, you. You knew what you were getting into, and honestly, you were prepared for a life full of angst. But, as you sat down in the grass in the gardens of the palace of Dressrosa, you couldn’t help but feel at peace a little. Not endlessly at sea, not endlessly fighting for your life, for survival, for your family, for your love.
The sun shone on your face, and you leaned back just in time to see a shadow cloud your view. Your lover, towering over you as he leaned down to give you a quick kiss. “Are you enjoying yourself out here, y/n?” “yes, but it would be even better if you’d join me for a bit.”
You could practically hear him think. There was a lot to be done, decided and arranged, all behind the scenes, things he’d rather keep you away from, for he knew just how easy it was to get involved too deep and get yourself in serious trouble. But the weather was beautiful, and it was just outside. And what was five minutes of rest in a busy warlord’s life anyway? So he sat down.
“Just for a bit”
