There was not a single thing I liked about the trailer. Not a single thing.

Not the visuals, not the hinted at Jumanji style story, not the casting, I hated all of it. The thing I hated the most was Jack Black being casted as Steve. 💀

I imagine out of all the neighbors, Poppy and Barnaby would have the most knowledge on basic first aid and home remedies. Considering they both grew up way out in the sticks, you're bound to get hurt or sick and not have anyone nearby to help you. So they learned from their parents how to take care of themselves or others when they're unwell :))

If someone is injured or sick though, I can imagine that it might stress Poppy out to come running to her screaming- so people probably turn to Barnaby for those sorts of things <XD

I thought that Howdy gets up early and comes home late. So out of all the neighbors, Sally gets to spend the most time with him because he's almost always awake and out and about! :)

Howdy is also always on the move- doing things around the shop and working. Usually most neighbors cant follow him around from job to job fast enough- but Sally can! :)) She's been able to get to know him really well and they get along like two peas in a pod!

Howdy is witty and quick with his responses. He rarely stutters, so these two can just chatter away for hours and hours!

When it comes to worrying about him,, it is just the cold thing. But Howdy "not liking the cold" only scratches the surface of it. Howdy practically shuts down in the winter time, ALL the neighbors worry about him..

In the wintertime, Howdy is one lullaby away from collapsing on the floor and falling asleep 💀 the cold completely destroys his energy.. Also he's constantly hungry. He really slows down and starts running into things, forgetting things, sleeping in and being really hard to wake up.. <:/ and he gets sick pretty often in the winter so he's just not having a good time-

I feel like unless Home deliberately interacted with Barnaby and wanted him to know its alive, he would never suspect Home to be a living entity. Barnaby assumes that Wally has bad anxiety and its amplified when he's alone.. thus inviting him over to his house just to get out of his own home for a bit, or spending the night at Wally's house..

Barnaby has stayed over at Wally's house a lot and Home watches him too.. but in the end Barnaby chalks up the weird feelings he gets to just the worry over Wally..

I've never played the game, but I love it :) the fandom can be a real pain sometimes..

Currently I'm only really drawing/thinking of the base Unovan pokédex, not the pokédex from black 2 and white 2. (There are some select exceptions to this)

Mostly because the second dex is HUGE. And because Pokémon white was the game I grew up playing- so that's the one I wanna pull the Pokémon from. Ngl though, I might not be able to resist incorporating Metagross from the second dex.. 👀👀

Hello! I've unfortunately not been doing well health wise.. this week has been a rough patch.. but I'm hangin in there as best I can! <:) The fam says hi! XDDD

As for your questions, the fam has been blessed with never being too cold or too hot. So they probably like the winter time because that's when I'm at my happiest :)) I've never given them snow- but I'm sure they'd love to play in it! And yes, Gerald absolutely desires to A-pose out on the garden XDDDD

I typically play as Pit or Metakight. As for the others, I wonder..

Maybe Bibi would play as Luigi, Cici as Bowser, Jangles as Peach and Gerald as Wario XD

Its very rare that anyone from the crew hides their illness.. If someone hid an illness that's a big no no because they can infect other members of the crew. Plus it's really easy to tell if they're sick-

Also thankfully, (aside from Octo that one time-) no one really hides injuries. If the wound is in an embarrassing spot and need help, they'll probably just get the crewmate they are most comfortable with to help them..

I think Tuna only has that gnarly hook hand, he doesn't have anything else to put on in its place 💀

I can imagine when he first got his prosthetic arm he probably hurt himself on it once or twice <:( eventually he got used to it though and didn't hurt himself anymore-

your first christmas with finnick was a few months after your games. you had isolated yourself in your new home, refused to talk to anyone or do anything, but somehow, sixteen year old finnick and mags managed to drag you out of your house. finnick pretended something happened to mags and he didn't know what to do, and despite the smirk that threatened to dissolve his lie, you followed anyways.

you were greeted with the smell of homemade cooking, even from the outside of mags house. some sort of fish caught fresh cooking. fresh seaweed bread, and all sorts of desserts splayed out on the counter. you were greeted by mags smiling face, outstretched arms, and a big kiss to your cheek. the first thing she handed you was a soft, knit sweater that was specially made just for you. with a simple glance, you saw finnick's grinning face as he held up his own matching sweater. he was so excited that you couldn't help but feel excited too. mags insisted you stood near the tree with finnick so she could get a picture of her 'two favorite kids' (it's one of your favorite photos, and you keep a tiny version of it with you wherever you go).

then, finnick is far too eager to open the few presents that are under the tree. you don't remember the last time you ever saw the boy so excited — childishly excited — and so you try to burn it into your memory. despite the fact you didn't prepare any gifts for you, mags and finnick still had three little gifts wrapped for you. mags got you a nice notebook and spiced, wintertime tea set. finnick got you new pens to go with your notebook, obviously planned. and really, you're having a ton of fun despite the fact you weren't planning on celebrating the holidays.

then, mags is in the kitchen cooking again, and she tells both you and finnick to get out so she can concentrate in peace (finnick is bursting with energy). so, the two of you go sit down by the beach, and as you're sitting there with your new gifts, wrapped in the soft sweater mags made, you decide that you like this little family. while finnick is knee deep in the water saying 'it isn't that cold', you're drawing on three hagstones you found (it was perfect, really. they were all in the small spot, waiting to be found) and pulling fishing wire through to make an ornament. it's got three little stick figures in varying heights, meant to represent the three of you.

and mags tears up when you show her the present, and when you give finnick's his, he's definitely sniffling. (by the next holiday, you realize finnick is just overly sentimental during holidays). you mumble out something along the lines of 'hagstones are supposed to provide protection and you guys make me feel safe and I wanted you guys to feel safe too'. it's cheesy when they both hug you, but you don't mind. even when finnick laughs at you for crying, despite the fact he was crying too. and then mags scolds you two for fighting, but it doesn't last long because christmas dinner is done and you're all eating.

then, just when you think it's over, you three end up on the couch, wrapped in some big, fluffy, duvet drinking hot coco listening to music. you swear they put sleep syrup in your coco without you noticing because you feel so safe and content, for the first time since the games, that you're falling asleep tucked under mags arm like an eight year old listening to her and finnick talk.

It's 50/50 whether he'll take the lead on the hand holding or let you lead. Either way, he doesn't really say much during the event but internally he's like "Oh boy, this is serious now". You might catch him smiling a little too. If you ask him about it, he'll say it's nothing but his smile will only get bigger, as will yours.

Majima Goro

Most likely of all the boys to grab your hand out of the heat of the moment, either of a romantic or threatening kind. It's even more likely to happen if he's trying to protect you, in which he'll just instinctually grab your hand and start walking, only to realize a few feet later than he's doing that. Then he'll suddenly stop and be like "Whoops. Well, too late to stop holdin' yer hand now, huh?"

Saejima Taiga

He's more likely to let you decide when to start holding hands unless it's wintertime. The man is a total cuddle bug when the weather gets cold and would honestly hold your hand under the guise of keeping them warm. If you need a human heater, he's your guy.

Our Daigo has more sexual than romantic experience so he's kind of hesitant to take the lead. What do the Genshin characters do in a power outage?

Zhongli is prepared. He's got the oil lamps, the blankets, the good books. He's gonna be lying on the couch, reading by candlelight, until the power comes back on. He's not worried. Why should he be? He's an eons old dragon. He's fine. (Until it gets too cold, then he'll complain. But only a little bit.)

Neuvillette is much the same. In a place so reliant on modern technology, the hydro sovereign has seen plenty of power outages in his time. While his lamps are battery-powered rather than oil fueled, the effect is similar. He'll just use this time to review some court documents. (Again, he'll only complain when he gets cold. Wintertime with no heating is the worst.)

Thoma is ready. He doesn't need a lighter for the lamps. He *is* the lighter! Ayaka and Ayato are grateful to Thoma because he manages to keep things running even despite the harsh weather. While there are definitely plenty of coats and blankets to go around in the estate, Thoma would never fault someone for sticking close to him. A pyro vision makes him a walking heater, after all!

Tighnari grumbles to himself. Of course, the power was out. As if the bad weather wasn't bad enough. Thankfully, being a forest ranger means being prepared. Blankets, lamps, everything turned off to prevent any burst bulbs later on. He absolutely will complain about the cold. There's no stopping that.

Itto... yeah. He's clueless. It's up to Shinobu to keep everyone from panicking and/or freezing. She does a pretty good job of it, even if she has to pull Itto away from a candle he didn't notice. The oni had burned his hair once before and wouldn't stop complaining... Shinobu didn't want to deal with that again.

Furina is hunkered down with Neuvillette. Poor thing isn't prepared at all, and went to him for help. Well, at least she brought some snacks and bottled water. (Neuvillette doesn't approve of bottled water but appreciates the effort.)

Alhaitham and Kaveh are just fine. Between all of the blankets that Alhaitham hoardes (it annoys Kaveh) to Kaveh's collection of pretty lamps (Alhaitham doesn't see a need for a *lamp* to be *pretty*), they've got it handled. Now, if only they could stop bickering about lamp placement...

Ei doesn't notice. Yae Miko makes sure the puppet doesn't freeze.

What do you think the RFA members’ favorite seasons are?

Jaehee loves winter. She loves the idea of sitting in during the evening and watching a movie with someone she loves, and even better than that, she loves letting her footsteps carry her to different recreational winter activities with her partner. Get her some hot chocolate and ice skates, the two of you are about to have the time of your lives. She misses her parents around that time of year, too, but being with you makes her heart ache a little less. Bittersweet but it becomes sweet.

Zen is a sucker for spring. He gets to wear long sleeves if he wants to and he doesn't have worry about it being too hot to handle. It can be hell on his allergies, sure, but who wouldn't love fresh flowers and a staring role in the next big romantic movie? He's a romantic at heart, and that never stops after Valentine's Day. If anything, he gets worse about doting on you and comes up with all kinds of spring activities to do with you. The only downside if paparazzi!

Yoosung loves autumn. You might think he enjoys the spring but in all honesty, he gets tired around the spring because there are so many things to do and take care of at school. He's got the energy for it, but he doesn't have time to do anything else. He loves when school is just getting started, though. He feels so rejuvenated and ready to take on the world. The leaves crunching under his feet, the beanies he gets to wear, and people enjoying how it's cozy outside, not too hot, and not too cold.

Jumin strikes me as a guy who loves wintertime. I can see the appeal of springtime in his heart, but there's something about having those cozy, intimate nights with his partner that get me. He wants to share his time with you after a hard day of work, and what better way to be comfortable than in front of the fire with Elizabeth? You share a few drinks with a smile and talk about everything while snow muffles the rest of the world.

Saeyoung loves summertime. It's his birthday. It's the best time to go on a vacation. It's the best time to go swimming and fishing with your friends! It's the best time to do whatever he wants! Even though it's a scorcher outside, he has a water gun and a penguin robot that makes snow cones. There's something about getting to enjoy when there's a lot of sunshine outside. He can't deny it's his favorite time of year. He deserves to the sun and sky.

V doesn't like when it's hot. He loves to wear layers and hide his body. He hates it when he can't bundle up, he hates it so much, that's why he prefers spring OR autumn. I don't think he has a favorite, but I can see him jumping between the two. Those give him the best chance to take pictures, hike, and do outdoor activities. He won't get a cold and he won't melt into oblivion. He gets to enjoy things without thinking about his insecurities and there's something nice about sharing his enjoyment of the sunshine with you. In the end, he learns to love the springtime more.

Saeran loves spring. I think that was obvious. Summertime is way too hot for him and he can't handle the heat for too long, but he will go outside no matter what. It's just that during the springtime, he gets to watch the flowers bloom and there's cozy rainstorms that help him cozy up to you by a fire. It's not too hot, it's perfect. He wants to have tea in the garden as you share a meal together, that's never changed since he became a free man. He yearns for the springtime.

Vanderwood is hard to get a read on. I know he's not a fan of spring or summer, that much I can tell you. He just doesn't seem like the kind of guy who wants to talk a walk in the part or go on vacation to the beach. He seems like he enjoys the peace and quiet that comes with winter and autumn. I'd argue he likes the time in-between the two the most. Where the world seems to be lulled and it's too cold to do much but it's not hot enough to argue not doing something. He's a mystery like that, never quiet one way or the other.

Rika is an autumn girl. She loves the fall. Her birthday isn't something she likes to enjoy by any means, but she, like most people, enjoys the feeling of crisp weather that isn't too cold. She loves to remember all the times she spent at the park with Sally like that... playing in the tall bundles of leaves and laughing. Those are some of the best memories she has and she doesn't want to let go of them any time soon. A warm tea and a longing gaze out the window at the rest of the world. It's quiet, it's lonely, but it feels like home.

he's a very calm baby... he loves to read, play piano, journal, and curl up in soft fluffy blankets for a nice nap.

he has a music box he likes to have going in the background! it helps him relax. he also has a record player and likes when the vinyl crackles, it makes him sleepy.

he loves to read! he has picture and chapter books stored in a specific section of his home library for easy access! his favorite books are peter rabbit, goodnight moon, and the very hungry caterpillar.

he doesn't have many toys. he doesnt like toys that make a lot of noise so he just has a couple stuffies, but they mean the world to him. he'll sit them around him and read to them!

he likes to watch nature documentaries, especially about owls! he is also a frequent visitor to those bird nest livestreams.

favorite drinks are tea and warm milk!

he regresses a lot more around wintertime. the soft flurries that blow past his window and the unique way it piles around the landscape makes him so nostalgic. he'll sit by a window all wrapped up in his favorite blue blankie for hours at a time just watching the snow fall, trying to count every flake.

I need to bother you for y/n design advice. Since my clone au is the first one I've really had that's mine, I don't really know what to do to make them more like. Approachable as a y/n? And your designs are so cool and distinct from each other so

Something that might help is literally just scrolling through photos of people. That can range from fashion to just completely normal stock photos. It can make you go "oh, I forgot that clothing item even existed. I could use a variation of that." You can also keep in mind not only what would look nice, but what your character would want to wear.

I can walk through how each of them were designed if it gives you an idea of what I do at all

ADAD Y/N - my default design will always be a sweater. I love drawing sweaters. They're fun. If I think I can give a sweater, I will. Also, due to their "companion" characters being Sun and Moon, the colours I work with are red, yellow, and blue. So I just decide where I want that red, yellow, and blue to go, and what colour I want more of than the other. You'll see they all follow that line of thinking except for CSD

HD Y/N - it's wintertime!! This means I get to play with a scarf and jacket. Also a good time for a bit of floof, which is always fun to use. The fluff on the boots were intended to be similar to the way the DCA has bells on their shoes, so sometimes you can look to what the DCA has for inspiration. I felt that they needed a colour contrast from Sun and Moon that still went along with them well, so the jacket was made cyan. A lot of colour usage is just me going "what will look fine next to Sun and Moon?" OH, and I didn't use earmuffs even though I wanted to, because HD Y/N relies on their hearing. They wouldn't want to wear anything that could muffle that

CSD Y/N - can't go the red yellow blue route, this is a medieval peasant, so I shall combine colours. Can't combine red and blue, that's purple, and purple is typically for royalty if I'm not mistaken. I could combine yellow and blue for a dull green however. I will also google image search medieval clothing for inspiration

Pre Loops Y/N - out of curiosity, I googled "daycare worker" for this. Why are they literally all wearing the same exact kind of jacket sweater thing in every image...? Whatever, I'll have Y/N wear that, sure. I also looked up colour palettes, picked the nicest one, and adjusted the colours to my liking. This character is tidy, so they will have plenty of details that show they care about their appearance (brushes hair, puts on hat, buttons the middle of their jacket, wears a belt, tucks in shirt, tied shoes, well-written name.) The inner shirt will remain a slightly darker orange so that it can still work with Mid Loops's darker colours

Mid Loops Y/N - darker colours to fit better with their new character. More disheveled to show a lack of concern for their appearance. (Messy hair, doesn't bother with hat, unshaven facial hair, unbuttoned jacket, no belt, untucked shirt, untied lace, hastily scribbled name.)

Post Loops Y/N - what would this character want? Maybe they like to grow out their hair to feel the change. Maybe they've forgotten why they even bothered shaving, and like the hairs now. Maybe they want a large and floofy jacket because it's comforting. And to show the tiredness of this character, there is predominantly dark blue with the only red being much darker than previously, making the colours more relaxing.

I think this latest article is as much a Kate slander piece as it is a manifestation PR for Meghan. It is certainly aimed at painting a certain picture as you pointed out.

There have been rumours that the PR company did a brand image survey for Meghan and most of the feedback they got was that the public is increasingly against Meghan because of how much she has bashed the BRF. It's been putting people off and it's one of the reasons Meghan isn't getting any work.

So putting it out there that from now on she will not rely of the total image is., Stay away from the royals is a way of reassuring prospective clients that she is overhauling her image and is looking for new work in her own right, as opposed to riding on Harry's coattails.

But it's odd, because to me it seems like she is now doing her own work vis a vis fashion influencer plus she is basking in any glory of any good work Harry does it., Invictus. She only stays away from.his controversial stuff like the book, polo and grovelling to the BRF and whining about his mean daddy taking away military roles. Everything else, she wants to be a part of.like it's her birthright.

As for the Kate bashing, yes of course she will do that. Because that's a sure shit way of antagonizing William. And she doesn't want Harry and William to be on any sort of good terms at all, now or in the future. I do think, Charles, for a his faults, has largely ghosted Harry since he became king. And any form of solid reconciliation has been left up to Williams descretion. This is probably mostly because Harry is also estranged from a lot of the extended family because of Meghan. (Except Eug maybe?).

Any plans that BP or the king's team is hinting at is merely for show, so that worse comes worst, in case of any eventuality (like a divorce or Harry's public humiliation) he will have some sort of landing pad back in London. Not an actual royal home or a royal role, but family sympathy. I dont think on a personal level, Charles, Camilla or William have any more fucks to give about Harry and his Scar cosplay.

Looking at Joe Jonas and Sophie's drama makes me think that meghan would certainly encourage Harry to go to England spend more time there, and then she will play a blinder like Joe did on Sophie.

On your last point (the Joe/Sophie drama) - there used to be an accurate tarot reader here in the early days whose reading on a Sussex divorce saw it happening during the wintertime and one of them would be blindsided by the filing. Seeing your comment here reminded me of that reading. It really does seem like Meghan is trying to line it up for a blinder. After all, Meghan hasn't had an original idea since the 1990s. Why not steal Joe Jonas's divorce strategy?

This is just my opinion but I think the brand analysis actually happened. I've done some research and my conclusion is that it is standard industry procedure to do a brand analysis any time there's an acquisition, no matter what kind of track record the individual has. (Another reason why I think there was one, and this is just my personal observation, is because Meghan is such a polarizing and controversial person. WME wouldn't have taken her on willy-nilly without understanding what they were getting themselves into, even if they signed her as a favor to Serena, as the text messages going around allege.)

And absolutely, anything the BRF does with Harry is largely because of familial duty. You can still be sympathetic to someone's struggles and help them through it without having to personally like them. If there's one thing the royal family understands, it's duty and they probably all collectively understand that giving Harry a landing pad is their duty - not exclusively because they're family but because the monarchy calls for it. There are probably parallels to Diana here - Diana did a lot of damage when she said she wasn't supported or helped, and Charles can't afford the crisis Harry will cause if he doesn't show up for Harry. (They were able to handle the drama Meghan stirred up during the Oprah interview by having The Queen point out that Meghan is an unreliable narrator and the only reason The Queen's statement worked is because she had 69 years of authority and respect behind her words. Charles is lucky no one rolls their eyes in his presence when he demands the same gravitas.)

Any tips on reducing wintertime static in Electric types? More specifically the fuzzy ones? Like my Pincurchin just takes his seasonal anti-anxiety meds and doesn't care that I break the rubber gloves back out, but my brother's Pikachu gets all poofy like a Wooloo and won't stop scratching himself (which surprise surprise makes the static worse).

Worse still he's started rubbing himself on people and furniture, and he actually managed to knockout GranGran's service Rhydon because she was wearing a sweater she'd made her.

it sounds like your pikachu is suffering from some other kind of affliction than just seasonal static buildup. a pikachu should be able to handle electrical buildup in its fur by drawing it into its electrical sacs. the itchiness is probably caused by dry skin, which is likely contributing to the excess electrical buildups (as pikachu secrete an oil that helps them properly conduct electricity from their fur). the fact that it was enough to affect a rhydon, which shouldn't normally be bothered by electricity, makes me think this needs a vet visit.

you can help control winter static buildup by purchasing a humidifier to keep the air in your house from getting too dry. you can also look into some fur/skin conditioner for electric types such as static-gone. these can be combed into fur or rubbed on skin and then left in, and they help prevent too much electrical buildup. once a week application is usually enough to help keep things static-free!

It never fails that Dick will deny being sick even when he has a fever of 103 and a cough so hoarse it makes everyone's bones rattle. He's layered in a way that would put a sweet babushka in wintertime to shame and still shaking from chills. For real though, it's just allergies. He's fine.

Jason counts himself lucky that Dick isn't one of those guys that acts like they're on death's doorstep when all they've got is a common cold, but at the same time? Dick pushing himself might be at an equal level of annoying, given their lifestyle.

His most solid argument in getting Dick to admit he's not feeling well? Leveling with Dick to fuck him and watching as Dick grimaces because there's no way in hell he has the energy for that. Either he owns up to being sick or he can live in self-perpetuated shame for not being able to fuck his hot toddy boyfriend.

Manhandling in general because Jason can - pulling various sweaters and sweatshirts off of Dick because they're damp from sweat/fever and don't give him that look, dick. Jason is doing Dick's laundry ffs.

Dick not being 'sick' necessarily, but he starts to lose his voice for whatever reason and it does that thing where it gets all low and hoarse and when Jason hears it he lights up because on the one hand, voice cracking under these circumstances is hilarious. On the other, 'oh hey sir. Hi daddy. (ꈍ ꒳ ꈍ✿)' and Dick's voice breaking because omg stop. But of course Jason doesn't and Dick hacks up a lung laughing.

Then Jason gets him tea because Alfred gives him a look and it's all easy contentment and comfort (and crude jokes about puberty and dark humor from Jason because what's that like and Dick is OTL and Jason cackles).

juni and her brother oc lore / story stuff i posted on their artfight profiles. under the cut ⬇

Juni

She is the Star Circle soul rider in me and my gf's story (which is an AU different to SSO's story), and half of Aideen in another alternate version of the story, where Juni and her brother are both the reincarnation of Aideen but split into pieces.

She is a gender-non-conforming, non-binary person who mostly uses she or they as pronouns, but it's pretty much fine to use any pronouns (I mostly use "she" for her simply bc I like it, and since I made her up in my head, she also likes it). Her moustache is natural. It's not important at all to her story, but I do consider her to have PCOS, which some people close to me have and I think is important to create more awareness for.

She was abandoned as a baby, found in Valedale, and then adopted by the Hightower family on South Hoof (Jonas and Sigrid) where she grew up with an extremely healthy, mature, and happy life, full of support and unconditional love. They tell her early that she's adopted, but neither she nor her parents mind this in any way, and Juni doesn't really think about the circumstances of her birth and her biological parents. She's just happy to live with her adoptive parents and thankful that life is so good.

Hugh starts setting up the Rescue Ranch while Juni is a small child, and from that point they become very close as family, and she spends most of her time helping out with the Rescue Ranch - Hugh of course doesn't let her do much until she's older, even if she's always been very mature and responsible no matter her age. 

She helps care for a rescued foal while she's still a child herself, a foal that was found alone in the wintertime and would've frozen to death. The foal is named Winterborn and he becomes Juni's own horse, and they grow up together, healthy and happy on South Hoof. They have a strong bond and can communicate (depending on the version of the story, she may be able to talk to him as a humanoid horse, since he's her soul horse). Winterborn, in contrast to Juni, prefers to do nothing and relax, be comfortable in the sun and eat lots of food. He doesn't like danger or anything uncomfortable.

Juni is a strong leader, calm, mature, and a problem solver. She's hard-working, helpful, and responsible, and takes great care of everyone around her. Confident in herself but humble and kind. Basically, she's an idealised person, given all the love and support and safety and stability she needed as a child, and allowed to grow up perfectly mature and perfectly healthy, and then passing on her fortune to others by being loving and caring to them. (In contrast, Juni's brother, stuck alone in Pandoria since birth, left to die, is apathetic and empty and doesn't know what it's like to be human. They are two extremes, one based on a childhood of love and care and health, and one of the opposite.)

She works at the Rescue Ranch alongside Hugh for the most part, but as she gets into her late teen years, she also starts travelling around more on her own, helping people in different parts of Jorvik. She's met many people coming through the Rescue Ranch or those who visited South Hoof, and there's always someone who needs help with something, and she jumps on the opportunity to do so. Eventually she also becomes a part-time Jorvik Ranger.

Her childhood room was in Jonas and Sigrid's house, but when Hugh had gotten the Rescue Ranch off its feet, she ended up moving into a room on the second floor of Hugh's house at the ranch (although of course all the South Hoof family hang out all the time, usually eat together, and so on). It's a very cozy room with a window overlooking the ranch. She has a quilted homemade bed cover (many things on South Hoof are handmade by its residents), a shelf full of beautiful vintage books, and a glass jar full of seashells she's picked up from different beaches on Jorvik. She presses flowers as a hobby and also likes taking photos, occasionally drawing or doing other creative things. She's very much a jack-of-all-trades both when it comes to manual labour and doing things for fun, and she likes to read and to spend time thinking.

She knows a ton of people and is very loved, since she's always helping others and standing up for those who need it. But she's not always super social, while she likes talking to others, she also has her moments of laying alone in the grass quietly watching the stars and thinking to herself. She's very self-sufficient despite how much she does things with others and how much friendship, love and care she shows them. She could go for weeks not talking to anyone if she had to, but prefers more of a balance. 

She seems pretty much invincible, whether she's braving a huge snowstorm to bring food for the animals, or fighting some evil. Whenever there's a problem, she can find a solution, and she's strong enough to handle any burden, and to share the burdens of others to help them. People are really impressed with her strength and she's very admired, since her strength is blatant from the outside (while nobody is going to admire Juni's brother, whose suffering and strength to survive is not visible to them, nor helping them in any way).

During her life growing up on South Hoof, she occasionally saw things that were magical. Faerie lights by the mysterious old tree, strange things she couldn't explain. She felt drawn to places without knowing why. As a young adult (or older teen), she find a Pandorian portal, and is able to see her brother through it. She finds out that she HAS a brother, and that he's stuck in there. The Valedale druids are involved at this point. 

Juni, being the person that she is, immediately wants to go on a mission into Pandoria to rescue him and get him out, and believes that she can handle it. Eventually, this happens, though her brother is on the brink of death (his body is crystallising inside) and loses consciousness almost immediately after being taken into her arms. But she gets him out, mostly on her own, and he is taken to Elizabeth's house where they lay him in the bed, but he won't wake up. They find out that he needs a Pandorian crystal with him to live, and he's given a necklace with a crystal, and stays conscious after that.

Juni brings him to South Hoof, and she (and her family when needed) do everything to care for him, although he barely responds and is mostly like a zombie. He is meant to stay on South Hoof with her and heal, and she hopes that he will come out of his shell and be able to enjoy life if she just loves him and cares for him hard enough. However, his body is drawn to Pandoric energy (such as Ydris' circus), so he ends up doing things like just wandering off without telling anyone and without any food or shoes, which obviously worries Juni a lot, and she has to go find him when things like this happens. 

There is more to say but I think this is the most important parts to understand the setting and concepts of their story.

In less dramatic info, she has a sweet tooth, loves strawberry milkshake and Jorcola, and loves baked goods and food in general. For clothes, she wears both masculine and feminine and anything in-between, and she might put on makeup if she feels like it for an occasion, or she might not - but she will always style her moustache before going out!  She has a collection of hand-knitted sweaters in different colours and patterns (some of them were knitted by family and some were bought or gifted), and is drawn to knit items and just handicrafts and handmade things in general.  She collects seashells from around Jorvik in a glass jar in her room, as mentioned, and she picks up vintage books to expand her collection while visiting second-hand shops and such. She always has a book with her to press flowers and plants in while she's out, and usually has a camera and a notebook and such. She also carries band-aids, a swiss knife, and other useful items in her bag. 

Juni's brother

He is Juni's sibling who was trapped in Pandoria since birth (mostly in such a way that he was trapped in crystals that grew around and into his body, he stopped being able to move) and later he was rescued from there by Juni when she found out he existed. He is the Moon Circle soul rider in me and my gf's story (which is an AU different to SSO's story), and half of Aideen in another alternate version of the story, where Juni and her brother are both the reincarnation of Aideen split into pieces.

He is just a person, I mostly use "he" pronouns for him, and Juni and others are likely to use he or they for him (and maybe she, it, or others, depending on the person). He doesn't have a gender identity and he doesn't have any preferred pronouns. He didn't grow up in human society.

He didn't have a name that anyone knows, since he was alone in Pandoria ever since shortly after birth, and their parents are not alive/conscious anymore. But Juni and her (adopted) family on South Hoof decide to call him Juli, so this is his name, though I don't usually call him that and just call him Juni's brother. (Juni = month of June in Swedish, Juli = month of July.)

When on Jorvik, he can not live without Pandorian crystals on his body, that he might wear as a necklace or earrings or in a pocket etc, or by being in a location with high Pandoric energy (like Ydris' circus or the tree in Wildwoods). He is drawn to Pandoric energy because it feels like home / what he's been used to for his whole life, even if it's harmful to human bodies. Part of the inside of his body is crystallised and causes chronic pain, but he wouldn't have a reason to talk about that or necessarily show it in any way that people understand.

He is extremely quiet and disconnected. His entire life was just trauma, pain, and loneliness in Pandoria, and he doesn't know anything else. He's not angry or upset because he doesn't know he's supposed to be. He doesn't know what it's like to be a regular human or how to do it. He never had connections with others or ate food or took a walk. He never felt the sun on his skin. It was a life in suffering and limbo and progressively becoming more and more crystallised until he would have died if Juni didn't save him in time and take him out of there.

He is able to feel deep despair, pain and suffering, but he just doesn't have anything else to compare it to, he never experienced anything positive and healthy. For him this intense despair, intense loneliness, intense pain, intense apathy, intense emptiness, is all he knows. Even when he's on Jorvik, being loved by Juni and having good food to eat and a warm bed to sleep in, it's hard for him to really enjoy any of that because it's something so disconnected from everything he's ever known, and the crystallised emptiness inside him wants him to seek Pandoric energy and go back to that limbo.

He doesn't have any reason to follow human society's rules or to do anything, or not to do anything. He's a bit like a zombie, but is aware to everything (in fact Very Aware To Everything, like every blade of grass) and is learning about Jorvik / the earth and about humans and animals and all that as he exists on Jorvik. He just doesn't really have any reason to learn about them either, he has no reason to live or not to live, to learn or not to learn. 

He mostly does whatever Juni tells him to do ("put on this shirt" "sit here" "drink this") if it's not too complicated, because then it would require motivation and purpose. But he is drawn to Pandoric energy and may also be drawn to other things occasionally, which will make him just walk off somewhere without telling anyone or preparing in any way. He might feel Pandoric energy coming from a location and just walk off quietly towards it and then stand there and look at it. This causes Juni problems because she's worried about him (and rightfully so, since he wouldn't care or notice if he got hurt, or didn't have food).

As he lives on Jorvik and interacts with others, he may start to change, or maybe not. Juni is trying her best to show him what it's like to be loved and cared about, and to show him the beauty and joys of life. She is relentless and patient in caring for him and showing him things no matter if he doesn't react or doesn't change. She shows him the endless and unconditional love that he should've received since he was born, which she did receive from her adopted family on South Hoof.

At one point, since he is drawn to the Pandoric energy of Ydris' circus and goes there, Ydris takes interest in him (being aware that he must have come from Pandoria) and makes him perform at the circus - which works out despite his zombie-like nature, because he's not scared of things like falling from heights or doing other things they ask of him. He stays there because the Pandorian energy makes him feel at home, feel comfortable, even though it's not good for his body (he is apathetic to this, but Juni isn't). Isebell Figg is part of Ydris' circus too, and she is part of dressing him up in costumes and makeup, and part of the performances (though she doesn't know anything about Pandoria).

I don't always draw him with Pandoric scars and such (aside from his eye colour having changed from brown to pink/purple) because I haven't really cared to decide any specific scars. He might also have crystallised parts of his body on the outside rather than just the inside, or things like scars and crystals might be things that appear and disappear depending on Pandoric energy and healing times. It's fine to draw him with any kind of Pandoric scarring and crystallisation.

There is more to say but I think this is the most important parts to understand the setting and concepts of their story. 

He wears clothing that other people make him wear, so usually it's Juni's old clothes, or clothes that she (or someone else among her family and friends) brought for him. When he's at the circus, Isebell and Ydris dress him in circus costumes and put makeup on him and such. As for what he himself likes and dislikes, he would find out if he was able to start healing.

January 20

There's a gentle rain falling upon the island of Sulani as the Grant household wakes up for the day. It's a Saturday which thankfully means no school for AJ.

"Can't I do this later? I want to go talk to Rahmi. She has fun stories about her farm." AJ says with a sigh. 

"It's best to get it done and out of the way. Then you have the rest of the weekend to have fun." Naya tells him, she's helping him with his homework while her husband stares at the TV, watching the ending credits of some movie he found to watch. 

By the time Rahmi gets up and gets ready for the day, the rain had cleared up - almost like magic one could say. According to her weather app, it was supposed to rain all day. She leaves the house to go meet Ukupanipo at Sand Simoleon Beach.

"Is the weather around here always so unpredictable?" Rahmi asks after they've gotten in the water. She still isn't used to seeing her friend in his merman form. There's a certain ethereal beauty to him when he's in the water - in his element - but she won't be sharing that thought anytime soon. 

Ukupanipo's face breaks out into a huge grin. "When you have those of us who can change the weather, yes it can be. Normally I don't meddle with nature but I did tell you I'd bring you here today..."

Rahmi's eyes grew wide "You...stopped the rain?"

He nods his head "We can summon clear skies, among other things." He doesn't want to give away all "secrets" yet. 

"Well...thank you." Rahmi says with a smile, she feels a warmth spread through her chest at the idea of someone doing something like that for her. 

After their swim, they grill out fresh fruit for their dinner. Tomorrow she would be spending time with AJ and Apollo while Naya is at work. The guys want to take her to a local museum so she can see some of Sulani's history.

The duo eat their dinner, chatting here and there about their lives.

"Since you go back soon, there's one more thing I'd like to show you." Ukupanipo announces to his companion. He isn't sure if she'll agree to it or not. 

"Oh?" Rahmi asks, putting down a piece of fruit to look at him.

"I work at the island's bar and well, I'd like to take you there. Not while I work obviously but I'd like to give you a taste of the Sulani nightlife scene." 

Many things filtered through Rahmi's mind in that moment. Is he asking her out on a date? Or is this just a friend thing? Then her emotions kicked in. Panic and happiness were the main ones. "Sure."

Night begins to slowly creep in and Rahmi finds herself putting on some warmer clothes she brought with her. The fact that it's wintertime and she's been at the beach most of the day while her kids are dealing with snow back home isn't lost on her. She's been keeping in touch with her kids and they seem to be doing well, from what they're telling her anyway.

The pair spend time around a bonfire someone built on the sand until it gets late and they part ways.

Once Rahmi returns to the Apollo and Naya's house, she goes to Vera's old room and finds Naya sitting on the love seat.

"Did he ask you out yet?" She asks, almost giddy. Despite her own struggles in her marriage lately, Naya is a fan of love. She loves love and seeing people in it. 

"No. Yes...I don't know." Rahmi says, staring at the blonde. She tells Naya what happened at the beach.

"That's totally a date! Don't worry, I got your outfit covered." Naya beams. It's not often she gets to dress someone up. Apollo let her play dress up on him once and that was it - but that story is for the bedroom only.
